Welcome back to Elemental Crisis Book I. Last time, as if to answer the question of our mysterious narrator, the scene switched to Central City where Barry Allen, the Flash, was seemingly on patrol as a violet hole opened up in the sky, dropping Spyro, Cynder, and several pieces of debris from their world. Thankfully Flash dashed into the scene and managed to save them, though apparently part of a Dark Gem came through as well and damaged part of his suit the first time he touched it. After things calmed down, Flash took Spyro and Cynder back to the Pipeline so they could recuperate from their pretty severe injuries. So, what awaits at Flash's headquarters? Read on to discover...

(Our scene picks up with Spyro and Cynder laid out on a pair of cots in the main room of the Pipeline with the Flash and Iris West-Allen standing and observing them for a few moments while Caitlin Snow looks them over)

Flash: Are they going to be okay?

Caitlin Snow: To be honest, I'm not sure. Initial scans show their anatomy is vastly different than anything I've worked with. But thankfully, it doesn't look like any internal organs were damaged. I don't know when they'll regain full cognitive function though, but I do know they probably will.

Flash: Thank goodness.

Iris West-Allen: So... what are we dealing with here? Another alternate universe?

Flash: If that purple Breach in the sky they fell from is any indication.

Caitlin Snow: A purple Breach? That's... odd, aren't they usually blue?

Flash: Yeah. If Cisco were here he'd be going nuts over it.

Caitlin Snow: It would probably make sense to run the data over to him at ARGUS and see if he can figure anything from it.

Flash: I'd just leave out the part about there being two dragons here, though. Just to be on the safe side. (Looks back at the chunk of Dark Gem) Maybe send that stuff while you're at it. If ARGUS can't figure out what it is, we're really sunk.

(With a slight chuckle, Caitlin Snow leaves to send the data off to Cisco, while Flash and Iris West-Allen are left to observe their multiversal visitors)

Iris West-Allen: I've got a bad feeling about this.

Flash: Considering how every other visitor from another Earth has been, I don't blame you.

(As Flash and Iris West-Allen look upon Spyro and Cynder, we transition into their minds, which somehow are conjoined in whatever state they're in. The scene is a simple black void with the two dragons in it)

Spyro: (Seeing Cynder) Cynder?

Cynder: (Seeing Spyro) Spyro?

Spyro: Are... are we dead?

Cynder: I have no idea. I don't feel dead. If that even makes sense.

Spyro: I'll admit, this feels... familiar...

?: It should, young dragon.

(And then from the void spawns a blue flame, and from it a familiar dragon emerges)

Spyro: Ignitus. What's going on here?

Cynder: Last thing I remember was us fighting Malefor and getting our tails handed to us.

Ignitus: You nearly got more than your tails handed to you. You almost died. I managed to save you before Malefor and his Dark Knights could obliterate you. Sadly though, I couldn't heal your wounds. Thankfully, it looks like your rescuers have some pretty advanced medical equipment.

Spyro: Ignitus, we need to get back there and stop Malefor before he destroys everything!

Ignitus: Sending you back there in your current states would be suicide. You need to recover what was taken from you first. Besides, you landed in ultimately the best place for the moment. There's someone you need to find in this world once you awake. He is known as The Spectre. He knows how Malefor gained this power. And chances are, he'll likely know where to find some aid.

Cynder: Wait, how do you know this "Spectre"?

Ignitus: He is a concept, just as I have been since becoming Chronicler. We interact on plains beyond the mortal realm. While you're here, I'll keep assisting those still fighting against Malefor. Now, the time has come for you to wake. Find the Spectre, and all will be set right...

(As Ignitus says those lines, he is consumed in blue flame, and just as the whole void is, we end up right back in The Pipeline, just as Spyro and Cynder suddenly jolt awake, even catching the Flash off guard)

Flash: You're awake! Thank goodness, we were getting worried there.

Spyro: Where... where are we?

Flash: After you two kind of fell from the sky, I brought you here to recover. This is our base of operations, the Pipeline. I'd be taking it easy if I were you two, you had some pretty nasty injuries to you.

Cynder: We don't have time. We need to find the Spectre, and save our world before it's destroyed.

(The mere mention of the Spectre catches everybody off guard, no doubt given how recently they learned who the Spectre is.)

Flash: (Still reeling from the last Crisis at the mention) You're looking for the Spectre?

Spyro: Do you know where to find him?

Flash: I... I wouldn't even know how to go about calling him. (Thinks a moment) But I think I know who might. (To Iris West-Allen) We need to get the League together.

(And on that ominous note, the scene fades out)

And that looks like a good spot to leave off for now. So, things are getting ominous. It looks like Malefor went back to his world and the battle didn't go well for Spyro and Cynder. Thankfully, Ignitus was able to get them out of there before Malefor killed them. But what do they mean about Dark Knights? And what was taken from Spyro and Cynder? There's so many questions to answer, and very soon, we'll get to them. Within an update or two we'll get them. So, what awaits once the League is gathered together? Tune in next time to find out! Same time... same channel!
