Ruby woke up at about 10 AM the next morning, letting her get some sleep that she desperately needed. It was good to sleep in considering the rollercoaster that she had been on since Friday. In the past two days she had been recruited, flew to Atlas, met her new teammates, completed her first mission and had gone to her first party. While all of it had been great, she just needed to take some time to take it easy before she met up with Seth later for their date. Ruby still couldn't believe that Seth had asked her out, it was her first date, so she didn't want to screw it up.

Lying back in her bed, Ruby planned to relax for a bit going on her scroll and turning on the tv. When she turned it on however, Ruby was shocked at what she saw on the screen. Apparently, there had been a shipment of dust that was robbed in Vacuo and the drivers of the shipment were killed. Suspects had not been named but Ruby knew better. It was Roman Torchwick, Ruby was sure of it and she got annoyed. As if having a giant fight at the docks or going through traffic on foot at a rush hour to stop this guy wasn't enough. Ruby wondered what Torchwick and the White Fang were even going to use that dust for, but she imagined it wouldn't be pretty.

Ruby spent about 30 minutes just lounging in bed before she went to brush her teeth and do all of her other acts of hygiene. Then she changed out of her pajamas into her t-shirt and sweatpants, as she was just going to lounge today before she went out with Seth. Ruby looked through her scroll to see all of the messages she had missed; she ignored the ones that were from her Team and Team JNPR though. There were more from her Dad which she also ignored seeing as though he wanted her to quit the unit which was not going to happen. There were some from Qrow though, Ruby wasn't sure if she wanted to text or call him back however, because she just knew that her dad complained to Qrow about her joining the unit.

Needless to say, there was a lot going on in Ruby's life and she needed this Sunday to relax and just forget about everything. She thought about texting one of the girls to see if they wanted to do anything, but she didn't want to intrude on any plans that they might have. As if on cue, a knock on her door broke Ruby from her thoughts and she went to go open it. Lo and behold, the remaining female members of the intelligence unit were outside of her door with smiles on their faces.

"Yo Ruby!" Akali said happily.

"Hey girls, what's going on?" Ruby asked.

"Well, after the amazing night that last night was, we wanted to know if you just wanted to come hang out in Mira's room. We can order room service and just talk about things, that is if you are interested?" Shauna asked curiously.

"Yeah, that sounds good here just let me grab my scroll and my key." Ruby said in compliance as she got her things, and they all went to Mira's room.

The girls all went inside Mira's room and made themselves comfortable while looking at the room service menu. They were all grateful to Sindel for getting them these hotel rooms and provided room service, it would make relaxing after their shifts to be much easier. After they all ordered their food, they proceed to engage in some girl talk. Most of it was about the party last night and Shauna was telling them about a boy she met but then she changed the topic.

"Yo Ruby?" Shauna asked getting her attention.

"What's up Shauna?" Ruby asked curious as to why she changed the topic.

"I wanted to ask, and please forgive me if I am overstepping my bounds, but is your team treating you right?" Shauna asked concerned and Ruby's eyes widened.

"W-what makes you say that?" Ruby asked a bit surprised.

"Well, every time we ask you about your team or when you bring them up, you get this really irritated look on your face." Shauna answered and Mira picked up where she left off.

"Yeah girl, everyone notices, and I can guarantee you that Sindel and Litchi notice it too and we just want to make sure you are ok. We know that you are incredibly skilled Ruby, but we just want to make sure that your head is right." Mira said wholeheartedly which made Ruby smile.

"If you don't want to tell us then that is fine, but just know that we have your back. We are a team now, so we have to look out for one another. Just want to make sure that you get that alright?" Akali said and Ruby was soon lost in her thoughts.

Should she tell her new teammates what happened between her and the others? Ruby didn't want to waste their time with this considering nothing was going to change and that she didn't want them to be angry going into their first week tomorrow. Also, there wasn't much the girls could do in this situation considering Ruby was the only one who went to Beacon. However, maybe if she got this all out of her chest then she would feel a bit better. They were right, Ruby couldn't go into work still having the memories of last Friday in her head, so they had to get out. Sighing, Ruby broke from her thoughts and addressed her new friends.

"It's just…some stupid things happened that's all and I got sick of them." Ruby said simply while the others looked at her curiously.

"Care to elaborate on that?" Mira asked and Ruby just sighed. She took out her scroll, went to the recordings app and hit play on a recording, letting her team know what happened.

Back at Beacon Academy, Weiss Schnee was sitting in her dorm room studying, something that used to be one of her favorite pastimes. Now however, Weiss could barely focus on the notes that were on the desk in front of her, as there was only one thing on her mind. Rather a person, her leader and friend Ruby Rose, though Weiss had her doubts about the friend part. After all, what kind of friend consistently neglects you and says terrible things behind your back? Weiss like everyone else had been thinking of a way to make it up to Ruby but she had come up with nothing. That wasn't the only thing that had Weiss said though.

Weiss still had the scolding she received from Professor Goodwitch fresh in her memory, as it was if it would not leave her head. That day, she received various harsh truths from the Deputy Headmistress of Beacon Academy, no matter how much she wanted to deny them. It was true, Weiss had a superiority complex just like everyone else in her family. She wanted to prove that she was the best at everything she did, and she hated being one upped by anybody. Hence why she always got on Ruby's case for any mistakes that the girl made, seeing as though she knew that Ruby was better than her. In order to quell her sorrow at that fact, Weiss focused on the mistakes Ruby made so it could bring her down and make herself good, just like Glynda said.

Weiss was ashamed of that fact, she treated Ruby more like a rival/enemy than that of a friend. And for what? Just so she could just feel confident about herself, no matter whose feelings that she hurt in the process. Weiss promised Ruby that she would be a better teammate and that she would believe in Ruby's ability as a leader, but she wasn't making good on any of those promises. The question that was going through her mind constantly was did Ruby even want to make up with her and the others?

Considering the fact that they had been ditching her a lot, and that they said all of those things behind her back, what reason did Ruby have to forgive them? Weiss desperately wanted things to go back to normal, but it seemed like that was getting further out of reach. Especially with the pictures she saw last night, Ruby was making new friends in Atlas and it was clear that the girls in her unit liked her. Weiss remembered Mirajane Strauss, she was incredibly sweet and cheerful just like Ruby, so it was no wonder that the two were already friends. Though Weiss wasn't the nicest person to Mira back at their prep school, so she doubted Mira had anything good to say about her to Ruby.

Weiss was trying to be a different person, but it was going to be a long process, it was not just going to happen overnight. Then again, it had not been overnight rather a few months that she received the scolding from Professor Port on the first day of school. Weiss sighed to herself, she wasn't changing at all and her friendship with Ruby suffered. It was true that Weiss was getting annoyed with Ruby begging her to hang out, but the more she thought about it, wasn't that a good thing? They were partners, the closer you are with your partner the stronger you become. Yet all Weiss wanted to do was continue studying and be on her own, too engaged with her self-image rather than her team.

She continued to drown in her sorrow until she heard her scroll ringing, and she hoped the caller was Ruby. Weiss went to grab her scroll and sadly it wasn't Ruby, rather it was her older sister Winter. Though she desperately wanted her leader to call her back, Weiss was still happy that it was Winter on the other line. Weiss had looked up to Winter her whole life and she always knew the right thing to say, so she knew that she would feel better after this.

"Hello Winter." Weiss said warmly and her sister smiled.

"A pleasure to see you Sister, how are things?" Winter asked.

"Well…things are ok I suppose, just going through some things." Weiss said honestly, which Winter raised an eyebrow at.

"Going through some things? Are you alright Weiss? You aren't sick or anything are you?" Winter asked in a worried tone and Weiss just shook her head.

"No nothing like that, just some problems within the team that is all." Weiss said sadly.

"I see…speaking of which, I met your leader yesterday." Winter said and Weiss widened her eyes.

"Really? How was she?" Weiss asked as she was scared what Ruby's new attitude meant for Winter.

"She didn't resemble anything of what you wrote in your letters, she was not cheerful or energetic at all. Weiss, it was like she was a completely different person, she was cold and rude when talking with me. Though my tone was a bit judgmental, I did not think that she would respond with that kind of malice especially since she is so young. However, looking at your disturbed face Weiss, I am guessing that you know the reason behind why Miss Rose responded so angrily?" Winter guessed and judging by the look on Weiss' face she was right.

"I-it's just, Winter I really screwed up. Not just me, but my other two teammates and our friends on Team JNPR, we are the reason for Ruby's change in behavior." Weiss said with tears in her eyes and Winter's eyes widened.

"How is that possible? What exactly do you mean by that Weiss?" Winter asked completely shocked.

Over the course of five minutes, Winter was brought up to speed about an incident that occurred a week ago and everything started to make sense. Apparently, Weiss and her friends had been neglecting Ruby for the past couple of months, going to parties and other events they deemed to mature for Ruby. Not only that, last week they had ditched Ruby to hang out in Team JNPR's room and badmouthed her, which Ruby heard and recorded on her scroll. Winter was extremely disappointed in Weiss and now understood why Ruby responded to her with so much annoyance and malice that day.

It wasn't because she was rude by nature or anything like that, Ruby was clearly tired of being neglected and looked down upon by people due to her age and lack of experience. It must be why she was so driven to prove everyone wrong, and she was doing a damn good job of it already. On their first mission, Sindel and those kids proved all of the doubts wrong and accomplished it without a hitch, making doubters like Winter choke on their words. Then of course, there was another matter that needed to be addressed.

It was well known that the behavior of the Schnee's comprised of them all being judgmental, harsh, and a bit overbearing. It was something that everyone in the family had, though there were some who were trying to be nicer, even though it would take a while to fully change. If Winter had to guess, Weiss had been the most overbearing to Ruby considering she was the leader and Weiss herself wanted to be the leader. The poor girl, it was no wonder that Ruby spoke to Winter with so much annoyance that day, she was sick of Weiss talking down on her so no way in hell would she let Winter do it either.

"Weiss…what were you thinking? It is no wonder that Ruby is acting the way that she is now, everyone has a breaking point you know." Winter said in a disappointed tone.

"Winter, that night we were just in the moment talking about our frustrations about Ruby, we didn't know she was listening! And yes Winter, we have been neglecting her it just felt good to get a break from Ruby that we kind of went overboard. We didn't notice that it was hurting her, we just thought that she would get into the routine of us leaving, why didn't she say anything? Finally, yes I am harsh to Ruby, forgive me that I find it irritating that she consistently one ups me in everything! She is the leader, better in combat, Ozpin's little favorite, and she was recruited to be in that unit! Why is EVERYTHING about her?!" Weiss asked in anger and Winter sighed.

"Weiss, not everything is a competition and you really need to understand that. While I understand it may be frustrating, Ruby is incredibly skilled and at her age she is just going to get better. I mean Weiss, she and another student in that unit took down an Arma Gigas thanks to her precision, it's just what she does. Even after they did it, she was still selfless and directed the praise she received from General Ironwood to team effort, recognizing everyone else in the unit. She doesn't care about her image Weiss, she just wants to make the world a better place, regardless of who thinks she can or can't." Winter said with praise, though she felt bad about how she talked to Ruby, she needed to apologize to her tomorrow.

"Winter…how do my team and I fix this? I know I need to get better and I need to treat her better, but I don't know if I can even apologize to her. Ruby has been treating us like nuisances and she has been ignoring us, giving us a taste of our own medicine. She hasn't answered any of our calls nor text messages, so how can we be sure if she will listen to our apology? What if she doesn't forgive us?" Weiss asked desperately to her sister who sighed.

"Weiss you can't force her to forgive you, especially considering that you all were the ones in the wrong. As for if she will even forgive you, I am not sure. She has proven to be a valuable asset to that unit, and the other students seem to like her a lot and be protective of her given her age. Considering that she has new friends, she may not see a reason to forgive you given how you all view her. Still, I think giving her an apology is as good a start as any. I think that Ruby will listen, but what happens after that is anyone's guess." Winter said honestly and Weiss knew she was right.

"Thank you Winter, it was really good to talk to you as always." Weiss said in gratitude.

"You as well, until next time sister." Winter said in farewell, leaving Weiss to her thoughts.

Back in Atlas, the girls of the intelligence unit were appalled by what they heard on the recording that Ruby played. It now made a whole lot of sense as to why Ruby got so annoyed when talking about her team or this Team JNPR. The three felt bad for Ruby, she had to hear her so called friends play the "Who can talk the most shit about Ruby" game firsthand. Though the girls had to admit that the reasons the others were mad at Ruby were pretty stupid.

If the three were being honest, they wouldn't want to be friends with Ruby's other teammates or Team JNPR. For God's sake, Ruby was one of the nicest people they had ever met and she should be arrogant with her level of precision, but she was the complete opposite. Ruby was kind, empathetic, and incredibly easy to work with seeing as though their first mission went off without a hitch. And yet, these people were angry because Ruby was cheerful, and she wanted to hang out with them? They were a team, what else was she supposed to do? Akali was the first to voice her opinion on the recording.

"Well, that was rude." Akali said in disgust and the others agreed.

"I know right? I knew Weiss was a spoiled brat, but I didn't expect her to still be this much of a bitch. I thought she would have grown up by now." Mira said angrily.

"I am confused on what this Blake girl's problem is, she is mad because her reading time is being disturbed? It sounds like she does that a lot already though, and Ruby you were listening at the door and they didn't notice you?" Shauna asked and Ruby responded.

"Yeah, this has been happening for the last couple of months. The only time I really see them is when we are in class but when the weekend comes around, they disappear and leave me all alone. It happened that weekend too, I was on my way to the library to study for an upcoming test and that is when I heard them talking shit about me. It was then that I decided I didn't care about their opinions anymore and stopped trying to make them happy. If this is how they truly feel, then so be it but that doesn't mean I am going to let this bring me down. Also, you are correct Shauna, reading is the primary thing that Blake does all day every day, but God forbid I interrupt that just to get some bonding time with the team." Ruby said honestly and the others looked at her with pity.

"Damn Ruby, you are way more mature than I am. If that happened to me then I would have bust the door down and fists would be thrown." Akali said truthfully and the others laughed.

"Part of me did want to interrupt them but what was the point? This is how they truly feel, and I finally got to know, and that is when I started doing me. This is the main reason I joined the unit; I was tired of my skills being neglected and downplayed because of my age and what people thought of me. I thought that if I joined this unit, I could be a real asset and not have to worry about what people thought of me, and thankfully I was right. I am happy to be in a unit with you all, I want you to know that I won't fight because of my ego, I will fight to keep you all and Atlas safe." Ruby said and the others smiled.

"Thanks Ruby, that is good to know but I have to ask, what are you going to do when you see your team again? We are going to have to go back at the end of next week and considering this recording they will probably pester you. Do you have a plan for that?" Mira asked and Ruby nodded.

"Yeah I do, I am just going to tell them what it is and say my peace. They don't have to like me or the fact that I am sixteen, but I am still the leader and what I say goes. All we have to do is train together and go to class together, after that they can do whatever they want. They don't want me around? Fine, it's none of my concern anymore. I am just going to keep doing my best and try to become the best huntress I can be, that's really all I can do now." Ruby said honestly.

"You're proving them wrong already Ruby, that was one of the most mature things I have heard in a long time. Just know that we have your back alright? We are not going to treat you like that because we have to be on the same page when working in this unit, and we can't have personal differences screwing it up. So even if your team continues to do this bullshit, just know when it is time to come back, we will be waiting to hang out with you again." Shauna said smiling and Ruby smiled back.

"Thanks girls, it means a lot truly. Now where is our food? I am starving!" Ruby whined and the others laughed.

About twenty minutes later the food arrived at Mira's door and the girls began eating their lunch. They still indulged in girl talk, mostly about the party last night and what they thought their assignment was going to be tomorrow. Ruby then remembered Sindel showing her the file that some crime syndicates were being spotted more and more in the past weeks. They all wondered what that was about, since Atlas was not really a place that was known for that, maybe Vacuo or something but not Atlas. If that was their first assignment, then they would have to go around town asking civilians questions.

The girls finished their food and talked for a little while, until Ruby decided that she had to go get ready for she and Seth's date. Of course, the girls started teasing her about it causing Ruby's face to become as red as a tomato. Ruby waved them all off and headed back to her room, her friends wished her good luck for tonight which she appreciated. Ruby got to her room and hopped in the shower, she wanted to smell good for her first date.

After getting out of the shower, Ruby decided that she wanted to dress similar to what she had on last night. Jeans, T-shirt, and jacket, nothing too formal since she doubted that Seth was that kind of guy. She welcomed that because she wasn't very fancy either, she never understood why people wanted to go through all that trouble just to have dinner. Besides, it seemed that dinner was not the only thing happening tonight, other wise why would Seth say be ready at 5? Ruby was excited to see what he had planned; she knew they were going to have some much needed fun before tomorrow.

Ruby was all dressed, had her jewelry on, and was heading down to the lobby of the hotel to meet Seth. Ruby would be lying if she said that she was not nervous, because God knows that she was. This was her first date; she really did not want to screw it up and have Seth think that she was weird or anything like that. Either way though, she decided that she was just going to be herself, that was what Seth apparently liked after all.

When Ruby got down to the lobby, she saw Seth sitting in a chair and by God she was impressed with his attire. Black button up shirt that was open and showed off his necklace, black jeans with a chain in his pocket and slick black sneakers. It gave off the bad boy look that Ruby was very attracted to and it really suited him well. Ruby walked over to him and Seth saw her and smiled, to which she smiled back as she was grateful for the invitation.

"Yo hotshot, what are you about to do?" Ruby asked with a smirk.

"Oh nothing, just about to take this hot girl out. What about you?" Seth asked in a teasing tone.

"I have a date with this really cute guy, wears all black which is the best color, so you know he has good taste." Ruby said while laughing and Seth laughed as well.

"Indeed, black is the best color, anyway are you ready to go?" Seth asked and Ruby nodded.

"Yeah, where are we going?" Ruby asked.

"You'll have to wait and see, but I am sure you will like our first destination. And if you don't, you can see me look like an idiot. It's a win-win!" Seth said while grinning and Ruby burst out laughing.

The two exited the hotel and Seth took Ruby's hand which she very much complied with and tried to keep the blush on her face to a minimum. They both walked through Atlas a bit, admiring the shops and the décor since both of them were in Atlas for the first time in their lives. Ruby felt her scroll buzz and went to see who it was, and it was Qrow. She would have to make a mental note to call him back later on this week because no way was she calling him now. They made it to the first destination and Ruby's eyes widened as she smiled.

"Dude an arcade? Sweet." Ruby said in approval and Seth smiled.

"Yes! Don't look like an idiot, what a relief." Seth said relieved as Ruby laughed.

"Yeah, I'm not the kinda girl that will make a guy take her shopping or anything like that. Plus, video games are so much more fun and interactive." Ruby said and Seth.

"Yeah I figured, anyway we have a bit of time left before dinner and seeing as though you suffered defeat at the pool table last night, I figured you would want some payback. Just know victory likely won't come, so don't be too disappointed." Seth said with a shit eating grin as Ruby glared and cracked her knuckles.

"Oh? So, my date wants the smoke before he opens his wallet and buys me dinner? Very well, game on!" Ruby said rising to the challenge and Seth gave her a mock glare as they went inside.

The arcade had a variety of games and multiplayer, the two first went to this shooting game called Time Crisis and when they hit start the war was on. Given the gunslinger that Ruby Rose was, she completely destroyed Seth at the game and basked in the glory. Not to be outdone, Seth took her to the basketball hoops and hit most of the shots while Ruby barely made any, giving Seth the victory. The played a few more games before having the tiebreaker, which was the game called Samurai Showdown. Seth thought he had the upper hand, but Ruby had played games like this with Yang all of her life.

Seth selected the character called Genjuro and Ruby selected the character known as Shiki. The two battled and Ruby beat him in a 2-0 victory, giving him the work. Seth looked defeated and Ruby could have consoled him by saying good game but oh no, after the trash he talked before they walked inside the arcade, she was going to be petty. Ruby gave a Seth a sweet smile before taking out her scroll and opening up the video camera.

"That's what his ass gets! That's what his ass gets!" Ruby said in a sing song voice as Seth glared and put out his hand.

"Oh yeah just grab the most overpowered character why don't you?" Seth said bitterly and Ruby responded.

"EXCUSES!" Ruby yelled in a mocking tone and Seth rolled his eyes.

"Whatever, you want dinner or not?" Seth asked wanting to change the subject and Ruby laughed.

"Yes I do, come take your victorious queen to the destination of her meal." Ruby said a pompous voice, holding out her hand and Seth took it reluctantly.

The two walked for a little bit before stopping at an Italian Restaurant, it looked kind of expensive but Seth seemed to be confident so it should not be too much to handle. Though it did make her feel special, she did feel a little bad that Seth was spending this much on her. He didn't seem to mind, but the selfless side of her would always be like this when it came to dates, she did not want to be a burden. They got a table and sat down, Seth ordered some chicken parmesan and Ruby ordered the fettucini alfredo. After they ordered the two decided to have a bit of small talk.

"I'm really happy you agreed to come, I was afraid you might say no." Seth said honestly.

"Of course I came, I want to get to know you better and you seem like a pretty chill person. Which is good because that is exactly my type." Ruby said winking at Seth who just chuckled.

"Good to hear it, speaking of which I wanted to know, why did you join the unit?" Seth asked and Ruby looked confused.

"What do you mean? This unit will give us experience as hunters and will allow us to help people, what more do you want?" Ruby responded and Seth shook his head.

"No, that's why we joined, I asked you why YOU joined. Look Ruby, I can see it in your eyes and everyone else can too. You have a specific purpose for joining, it's like you are proving something and I wanted to know what it is." Seth said honestly and Ruby sighed.

"Wow Seth, you are really good at reading people." Ruby said amazed and Seth laughed a little bit.

"Maybe that is why I was selected; you don't have to answer you know. I don't want to make you feel uncomfortable when we are supposed to be having fun." Seth said a bit worriedly, but Ruby shook her head.

"No it's fine, I guess you do have a point though, there is a specific reason for why I joined the unit. Back at Beacon, everyone gets on me because of my age, they all think that I am too young and that I bribed Ozpin or something. Whether it is my team or my classmates, anytime things go wrong I am the one they blame it on and they say it is because I am too young. But I believe in my abilities, and I saw this as an opportunity to not only help people, but to prove to everyone and myself that my age doesn't matter, my skills back me up. Does that make sense?" Ruby asked hopefully and Seth nodded.

"Yeah it does, Ruby I gotta be honest with your figure you don't look any younger than me and I am 17 and a half! So I don't really see what your age has to do with anything, those other students at Beacon sound like haters to me. You're the youngest and yet you have the most incredible precision that I and anyone in this unit have ever seen. Not to mention how calm and mature you are, you may be sixteen but that is just an age. How you act and fight is up to you, and you do it pretty damn well." Seth said smiling and Ruby smiled back.

"Seth Dreyar, you are quite the charmer you know that? You know just what to say." Ruby said in admiration and Seth laughed.

"Glad to hear it, but I have to ask is that why you get so irritated when talking about your team? Because they come down on you so much?" Seth asked and Ruby rolled her eyes.

"That among other things, I have just put them in the back of my mind for the time being." Ruby said honestly and Seth nodded.

Their food came and they started to eat, while still engaging in conversation. Seth told Ruby about his team at Haven, they were called Team SNOW and they were in the top five ranked teams at the academy. Ruby told Seth about the craziness she had already been through since enrolling into Beacon, ranging from fighting criminals to having a food fight in the cafeteria. Seth wished he could have been apart of that, but he couldn't but notice how Ruby's eyes twitched when she said one of her teammates' names. He truly wondered what happened between them, but Ruby would tell him when she was ready. They finished their meal and headed back to the hotel, they had work in the morning after all.

When the got to the hotel, Seth pulled Ruby into an alley next to it and immediately pressed his lips to hers. Ruby was shocked but immediately returned the gesture as the two made out for a few minutes before imparting with one last intimate peck. The two hugged each other and stared into each other's eyes, Seth was amazed by Ruby's eyes, they were like sparkling diamonds.

"Well…that was a thing." Ruby said chuckling and Seth did the same.

"Yeah it was, sorry I pulled you into this alley but I figured we should kiss in private to avoid being teased by the others." Seth explained and Ruby nodded.

"Good idea, last thing we need is to be teased the whole day tomorrow." Ruby said and Seth agreed.

"Yeah, so how does this work am I your boyfriend now, are you my girlfriend?" Seth asked curiously and Ruby laughed.

"Well, we just made out so I would say yes. Is that ok with you?" Ruby asked and Seth kissed her, and she kissed back before they pulled apart.

"Does that answer your question?" Seth asked and Ruby nodded while giggling.

The two went back inside the hotel and went to the elevators, getting ready to go to bed for the night. Their first assignment was in the morning, so they wanted to get some sleep, though Ruby was going to have a hard time getting to bed considering what just happened. They got in the elevator and no one was there with them, causing the two to kiss some more. They reluctantly pulled away when the elevator reached Seth's floor and he had to get off.

"Dammit, I wish I was on the tenth floor." Seth whined and Ruby just laughed.

"Sorry babe, maybe next time we are here Sindel can change the floor assignments." Ruby said hopefully as Seth wrapped his arms around her and she did the same.

"Babe huh? I like that." Seth said with a smile.

"And I like you, thanks for tonight." Ruby said gratefully.

"Of course, thanks for coming. See you in the morning." Seth said as he kissed Ruby goodnight and went to his room.

Ruby got to her floor and her head was spinning, she made out with a guy and it was magical. Now she had a boyfriend, and before Yang! She could not help but feel a little smug at that and was humming as she put her key in her door and walked inside. She took her jacket off and was about to get ready to go to bed until she heard her scroll ringing. She hoped it was Seth but unfortunately it was just Qrow again, and Ruby answered it to figure out what he wanted.

"Hello?" Ruby said on the line.

"Ruby, it's about time you picked up, I have been calling all day." Qrow said in annoyed manner to which Ruby rolled her eyes.

"Sorry, I have been a bit busy, is there something urgent that needs to be taken care of?" Ruby asked in wonder.

"You could say that kiddo, I heard from Tai that you and Yang as well as your team have been divided for some reason and that you took a job in Atlas without consulting them or Tai and me. Care to explain?" Qrow said in an accusatory tone and Ruby rolled her eyes in annoyance.

"Look Qrow, I am in a really good mood right now and I do not feel like having it ruined, so I do not want to talk about it. I have to get to bed, call you later." Ruby said in a no-response manner.

"Hey Ruby-!" Qrow tried to respond but Ruby hit the end call button.

Ruby tossed her scroll on the bed and was immediately trying to calm herself down. She couldn't believe that her Dad had gotten Qrow involved in all of this, it was so unnecessary. Ruby then thought of the night she had and quickly put her annoyance to the side. She was going to go to sleep happy not mad, so that is what she did. Ruby showered, brushed her teeth and got in her pajamas and hit the sack, ready for whatever awaited her and her unit tomorrow.
