Chapter 1: The Murder of Bennetts

Here's a story project, I've been made as a concept since between July and August of 2023. Hope you enjoy!

Also, sorry for not posting any fanfictions recently, because of college tasks. So, I hope you enjoy this fanfiction

In the laboratory of Bennett Resident, at night. With the room filled with the hum of computers and occasional deep of technology. A brilliant scientist named Prof. Gregory Bennet, with his wife, Celia Bennett, an accomplished data analyst. The two of them were discussing about their latest creation, Project Neosystem.

"Celia, we're on verge of something extraordinary about Project Neosystem. This creation has a potential to reshape the world." Said Prof. Bennett while he looked at one of computers monitor.

Celia felt worried as she looked at her husband "Gregory, we need to be cautious. I feel like we also need to protect Sadie. We cannot let this project that influenced many people, ended up with some bad people tried to hurt her." Said Celia.

"I understand, Celia. Let's hoping that no one tried to hurt our daughter." Said Prof. Bennett they continue to discuss about their creation. Unbeknownst to them, a mysterious figure watches from the distance with a monocular watching them.

"Project Neosystem… a dangerous game." Said the figure.

(The Next Night, Around 7.00 PM)

When Prof. Bennett and Celia were at home, they reunited with their 11 years old daughter, Sadie, as she excitingly meets them. "Mom, Dad, you're home!" She said, while ran towards them. The two couples were happy, that they could see their daughter again. "Come on, let's go in!" She said, both Prof. Bennett and Celia entered into their house.

As they went into the house. Suddenly, a mysterious woman went out from one room, and stabbed Prof. Bennett with a knife. Prof. Bennett screamed in pain, as a blood came from his back. Celia and Sadie were screamed in horror, seeing Prof. Bennet being murdered in front of them. "You such a pathetic, Bennett. That project failed you, and harm many people around me! " Said the mysterious woman in annoyance.

Celia and Sadie were terrified in horror, seeing Gregory got murdered in front of them. "Celia, take Sadie away from here!" Said Prof. Bennett, before he perished.

Just as the bunch of five men came from the outside, and held each of their weapon. The five men held their gun, and started shooting Celia, causing her to get killed "Noooo!" Yelled Sadie in horror. Tears filled her eyes, seeing her parents murdered in front of her. She looked at the mysterious woman and the five men, and slowly moved away from them.

"Now, get that girl! Every Bennett must eliminate! And this Neosystem Project will be my ultimate weapon!" Command the mysterious woman to the five men. Sadie got scarred, and confused of what really happened, she ran away through the front door of her house. While the five men began to chasing her, and held their weapons.

(Meanwhile, In Somewhere Else, IMF Safehouse)

A spy agent, named Ethan Hunt found what appears to be a small device, resembled a phone that has a finger scan on it. He began to scan his fingerprint on the device, until the device detected his identity, through a fingerprint. The device began to active through Ethan's fingerprints and a voice message from Agent Sterling Parker.

"Good evening, Mr Hunt, there is manipulative data, known as Project Neosystem. Created by a scientist named Professor Gregory Bennett, and his wife, Celia Bennett." The device showed the image of Project Neosystem and photos of Gregory Bennett and Celia Bennett.

"This data is known for manipulate a global system, across the world, potentially harmed many people." The device also showed the image of cases of manipulations caused by Project Neosystem. Ethan looked at the images on the screen, wondered if there are missions he must do.

"It caused the assassin named The Phantom, killed Prof. Bennett and Celia Bennet last night. Due for the mission gone wrong, and result the loss of the people around her." The device showed the photo of The Phantom, and the dead bodies of Prof Bennett and Celia Bennett.

"Her vengeance continued, as she began to targeted Prof. Bennett's young daughter, Sadie Bennett, and tried to killed her. The Phantom believed that by eliminate Sadie, she could avenge the losses. Sadie soon escaped and seek a help from anyone there." As the device showed the photo of Sadie Bennett.

"If she began to took over Project Neosystem, to manipulate data in a massive scale, that could cause a wreaking havoc." As the device showed illustrations of the effect of this Project Neosystem

"Your mission should you choose to accept it, is to protect Sadie from any pursuit, and to stop this dangerous project. Before the effect of global havoc and the fate of Sadie on your hands." As Ethan looked at the photo of Sadie on the screen of the device. He began to expressing his seriousness.

"The most important thing, is protect the child from any threats." He thought

"Good luck, Mr Hunt. This device will self-destructed in five seconds." The messaged ended with the device deactivated, leaving the smoke came out of it. Ethan came to Benji and Luther, as he began to having a discussion with them.

(Later)

Their discussion continued as Ethan said "This Project Neosystem, is no ordinary threat. It's a game changer, if The Phantom gets her hands of it…"

Benji took a sip from a cup of coffee "She could manipulate the informations, and use them for her evil agenda."

Luther nodded, "And the girl, Sadie who was escaped is a key of this. We need find her, before what they do towards her."

Ethan agreed "And we cannot let this dangerous technology fall to the wrong hands. But Sadie is our priority, we must find her, and protect her."

Benji began to using one of his devices to tracking a location of Sadie "I'm tracing her for her last track location. Come on, we gotta move fast." As he activated the device.

Luther began to wondered "Once we saved Sadie, what will we do?"

"We will expose the Project Neosystem threat, and bring it down. But the first thing we need to do is save the girl." Said Ethan. The IMF prepared the action, gearing up for a mission that could alter a global manipulation. As they were prepared to unveil the truth behind Project Neosystem, and protect Sadie from anyone who tried to captured her.

(The Next Morning, At 10.00 A.M)

Sadie wore a mask, cautiously navigates through the bustling city, and glancing over her shoulder at the unfamiliar faces. She avoids people who tried to captured her, in hoping she could seek a help from someone. "I can't trust anyone… " she said.

Little did she know, that the IMF had been meticulously tracking down her locations and her movements. Their mission was to extract her from her precarious situations and protect her from the relentless pursuit of The Phantom.

Luther, and Benji worked in this seamless coordination, their eyes on the screen displaying live feeds from surveillance cameras. With Ethan who watching the crowd from distance, and keep an eye on The Phantom's henchmen who tried to kidnap her.

"Benji, do you find any of The Phantom's henchmen?" Asked Ethan through the earpiece, while watching over the crowd of the city. Benji looked at the screen with Luther,

"I think there are two men, who seems to be The Phantom's henchmen. I think they were searching for Sadie in the crowd." Said Benji, while he looked at one of the screen showing two men, with a communication device on their ears, looking around the crowd.

"Then, where is the girl?" Asked Ethan, he looked at the crowd, but finds nothing there.

Both Benji and Luther looked at the screen of the camera, and found a young girl, wearing unusually simple mask, hiding behind a coffee shop wall and look scared, judging from her body gesture.

"I think we found her!" Said Luther. "Benji, you keep us informed while me and Ethan trying to extract the girl."

"Okay, go go go!" Said Benji, as he focusing the surveillance spot on Sadie and the two henchmen. Luther went to the place, where Sadie is. While Ethan immediately began to searching for her, while also keep an eye on The Phantom's henchmen.

Meanwhile, with Sadie who was behind the coffee shop wall, looking nervously around as she was looking for a place that safe from strangers. As she looked at the alley next to her, she immediately ran to the alley, to find a place she could hiding. Her movement was catching the attention of Benji, from the view of a camera.

"Guys, it seems that the girl went to the alley. Next to the coffee shop." Said Benji through the earpiece.

"She went to the alley?" Asked Ethan in confusion and concern.

"I think we should be hurry. It's not a safe place,, compare to the crowd." Said Luther, through the earpiece. Without any warning, Ethan immediately ran to find the alley, where Sadie was hiding there." As they communicate through earpiece.

Just as Sadie was in the alley, she looked around, if there is anyone was there. She breathes heavily from exhaustion, and began to took off her mask. In hoping that no one was trying to captured her. Little did she know, that Ethan had almost arrived at the alley and saw her. He noticed that the masked girl was in fact, Sadie Bennett. "That mus

He looked at the other side of the alley, and saw two henchmen of The Phantom looking around the alley.

When suddenly, the two henchmen spotted Sadie near her. As they were going to captured her. "There she is! Just like what the boss said! Get that girl!" Said one of the henchmen.

As the two henchmen began to move closer to Sadie, she felt scarred and steps away as she was going to ran, while holding her mask. Ethan steps into the alley, intercepting a threat.

"I don't think this is a girl you've been looking for." Said Ethan, Sadie startled but felt hopeful, as she looked at him. With a mix of fear or uncertainty.

"Who are you?" She asked.

"One of good guys." Said Ethan, before he using his hand-to-hand combats to defeat the two henchmen of The Phantom. Creating an opening for Sadie, for being protected. As Ethan manage to defeat the two henchmen, the two henchmen retreated and ran away from him and Sadie.

Sadie was unsure as she looked at Ethan. She felt nervous and wondered if she should trust him. But despite her feeling, she doesn't have any better choice than to trust the man in front of her. They soon left the alley, and went to the safehouse, while oversee their surounding, to avoid of someone tailing on them.
