What was supposed to be a day of relaxation for the intelligence unit had turned into a disaster as they stared at the corpse before them. Their suspect of one week was now deceased and the cause of death was clearly murder, considering he had cuts all over his body. The question now was, who gave him those cuts and why? And how did he end up in this construction zone? If the unit was being honest, they all thought the timing of this was all too convenient.
They had been investigating the recent robberies and criminal sightings the whole week and had come up with Dexter Deshawn as one of the suspects alongside Torchwick and that White Fang member. Now Deshawn was dead? Was someone monitoring their work and reporting it back to Torchwick? Did he find out they were on to them and killed Deshawn so he would not have to take any chances? Or did Deshawn do something that got him in trouble, and this was the outcome? There was so much that they didn't know..
"This is so weird, we have been investigating the guy for a whole week, we take a two-day break and he winds up dead? This case just took a whole new turn…" Sin said and Ruby nodded.
"Yeah I agree, but this couldn't have been Torchwick. He talks a big game, but I don't see him as the kind of guy to do something like this, Deshawn's stomach looks like a cut pork sausage! Wait could it have been her…?" Ruby asked herself and the others caught this.
"Ruby, who is 'her'?" Sindel asked and everyone wanted to know the answer.
"I don't know her name but the last time I saw Torchwick he had this henchwoman with her. She had pink hair, different color eyes, and her weapon was this umbrella that had a sword in it. Not only that, but she also has this crazy semblance where she can manipulate anyone with an illusion, it doesn't seem to have a limit. That is all I know though, one other thing that I thought was weird, the woman didn't speak at all. Maybe she is the kind of person who uses actions and not words?" Ruby asked her unit and they all looked down in thought.
"I am not sure, but it is concerning to know that Roman Torchwick has an underling with that kind of skill. We must find out who this woman is and add her to the investigation." Litchi said and the rest nodded, General Ironwood then came up to them.
"Thank you all for coming on your day off, and I am sorry to have to show you all horror like this, but that is what comes with the job of a hunter and a member of the Atlas Military. Anyway, you all showed exemplary progress with your investigation this past week and I need you to do it again for your second week here. I know I'm putting a lot on you, but we need to get to the bottom of all of this or else things will get worse. I have faith that you all will be able to solve this mystery and give us a clue as to what Torchwick is planning." General Ironwood aid honestly and the Intelligence Unit nodded.
"We understand General Ironwood, I think I speak for everyone when I say we will give this assignment 100% and beyond." Sindel said seriously and the rest of the unit nodded.
"Glad to hear it, now we should talk strategy." General Ironwood said but one of the soldiers interrupted him.
"Hey, I'm getting interference from this guy's body!" A soldier said as he was waving a device around Dexter Deshawn's corpse and everyone widened their eyes, Shauna walked over to him.
"May I see that?" Shauna asked as the man gave her the device and she started waving it around Deshawn's corpse, particularly his head.
"My God…he actually did it." Shauna said with wide eyes and the others got worried.
"He did what Shauna?" Sindel asked concerned.
"Implants, it has been rumored that fixers get technology implanted in their neurosystem to make themselves better aware of their surroundings, as well as to keep tabs on their customers and partners. I have also heard that they sometimes use these implants to strengthen themselves or record conversations they have with people." Shauna explained and the others were dumbfounded.
Could this really be true? Were there actually people stupid enough to mess with their body parts and get technology implanted in them? Sure, General Ironwood had half a machine body but that was not because he had a choice, he was going to die without it. So, what would prompt someone to get technology implanted in their brain, was the drug cartel movement and other crime that untrustworthy? If these fixers really were all about the money, then certainly they would want to keep all the receipts by any means necessary.
"Wait, you are saying that this man had technology implanted into his brain? How is that even possible?!" Winter asked a bit freaked out.
"You have to have the right technology and a really good doctor…" Shauna said as she gave the device back to the soldier.
"So…I have three guesses as to what happened here to make Deshawn end up like this. Either he saw something he wasn't supposed to see, he tried to con his business partners to try and make a new deal getting him more money, or he just wasn't useful to his partners anymore and they disposed of him." Seth said with a serious tone and the others nodded.
"Yeah I could see any of those theories being true, hey Shauna if this guy had implants do you think he had recorded footage that will give us some answers? Maybe he had an implant that recorded what happened to him moments before he was killed." Jago said and everyone widened their eyes.
"Yeah, there has to be! General Ironwood, can you have the members of your lab take a look at the body?" Shauna asked and the general nodded.
"Absolutely, take this body to the morgue and see if you can find any of the implants that Detective Vayne mentioned. If you do find them and this is some recorded footage, I and the Intelligence Unit will be the first to know, is that understood?" Ironwood asked with authority and the soldiers nodded, taking the corpse with them.
"I hate to ruin your weekend, but it would be for the best if we could get a head start on solving this mystery. While they see if Deshawn has implants and any recorded footage, we need to look into him with immense detail. We need to look into his life, who were his known associates and how many of them are still in Atlas? Does he have any family here? The sooner we get answers to these questions, the sooner we can find out what the hell is really going on. As long as we keep our minds calm and work together I know we can solve this." Sindel said honestly and her unit nodded back.
With that, the Intelligence Unit left to go back to their office to gain more information about the deceased Dexter Deshawn. Even though they were a little upset about their off day being taken from them, they knew that this was more important. If Dexter Deshawn was murdered, then the situation was a lot more serious than they had thought. And whoever did that to Deshawn was ruthless as there were multiple deep cuts on his stomach.
Ruby knew for a fact that whoever murdered Deshawn could not be Roman Torchwick, he was a bad guy and all, but he did not like getting his hands dirty. No way could he have cut up Deshawn's stomach like that, and she also doubted it was the pink haired lady because she seemed too elegant to make a wound like that. Whoever Torchwick was in business with must have been very dangerous if they had left a wound like that, probably more than he signed up for.
The intelligence unit got to the office and immediately started looking through files like their lives depended on it. They needed to figure out if anybody in Atlas knew their dead suspect on a personal level or maybe knew one of his associates. Sindel and Litchi were in Sindel's office going through files on her computer, some that were only accessible to the higher ups of the Atlas military, but it seemed like they had found nothing. That was the case for everyone else as well, until Mira stood up with a smile on her face.
"I think I got something!" Mira said happily as Sindel and Litchi came into the room and everyone became attentive.
"Good, let's hear it." Sindel commanded and Mira nodded.
"Of course, so reports here say that there have been sightings of members from Dexter Deshawn's group meeting at a place called Lucky M's. I know it, it is a small-time pool hall that is located on the west side of Atlas. There could be some grunts there, but they are just grunts no match for a hunter or a hunter in training. It seems like this is our only lead though, so if anyone knows anything about what is going on, it's possible they are at Lucky M's." Mira said and the others nodded.
"I see, thank you for that Mira. Time is of the essence so I want you and Ruby to head down there immediately and see what you can find out. The rest of us will work here and see if we can find any more information. If they try anything funny or even attack you then you do have permission to fight back, but try not to damage the place too much alright? That means you Ruby, I don't wanna hear any reports about a pool hall having bullet holes in the wall." Sindel said with a serious manner but her unit could tell she was joking a bit.
"Yes Ma'am but don't worry, I don't miss anyway." Ruby said giving her team a big smile while the rest of them just rolled their eyes at her in amusement.
Mira and Ruby made their way out of the office and into a car that was provided by the Atlas military. Mira took the driving seat considering that she knew where to go and the fact that she was the one who had her license. Ruby made a mental note of having her dad teach her how to drive one of these days because having a driver's license would make life so much easier and more convenient. Due to the fact that the two girls were friends, they did not drive in silence as Mira started a conversation.
"Things are picking up fast huh? To be honest I didn't see our shopping session turning into a murder mystery case…" Mira joked but Ruby could tell that this stressed her out.
"Yeah I get what you mean, but that is what we signed up for. At least we got all of the stuff we bought back in our rooms and can enjoy it after we get more information. I have to admit that seeing a dead body did kind of freak me out but there is something else that I am worried about." Ruby said honestly and Mira looked concerned.
"What would that be?" Mira asked as she kept her eyes on the road.
"Roman Torchwick, I have encountered him a number of times, but he really does not seem like the type that would murder in cold blood. Yeah he threatens people, but he does it in a very cheeky way, and he has a very arrogant and non-caring attitude about things. I mean don't get me wrong he is strong and so is that henchwoman of his but neither of them would do anything like that, so I doubt they were the ones that killed Deshawn. Having said that, I fear that Torchwick got himself involved in something more dangerous than he realized and the reason why he keeps committing these large crimes is because he can't get out." Ruby said with a frown as Mira widened her eyes.
"Holy shit Ruby…if that's true then who the hell are we dealing with here?" Mira asked in wonder.
"I am not sure, but I know for a fact that we need to do everything we can to find out who these other people are and lock them away. Once we do that, I am sure that Remnant will know peace, if not for a good period of time." Ruby said honestly and Mira smiled in agreeance.
The girls rode for a few more minutes until they arrived at their destination, and Mira stopped the car as the two got out. They decided that they would let Mira do the talking since she was better at it, and Ruby would be the backup and the force to let them know that they weren't to be messed with. Though Sindel did say they were allowed to use force, it was only if it was absolutely necessary, and the girls didn't want to show any fear. Not that they had any though, considering both of them were badass huntresses in training.
Ruby and Mira walked through the doors of the bar and immediately everyone looked at them. The majority of the occupants were men, men who were way beyond the age of the two huntresses. There were two women working behind the bar, neither of them looked happy to be there. However, one thought that was shared throughout the whole bar which was what the hell were these teenage girls doing here? A couple of men with smirks on their faces came up to Mira and Ruby who were ready to respond.
"What are you lovely young ladies doing here?" The man asked with a smile and Ruby and Mira smiled back.
"We are here to tell you to keep your hands to yourself, and to ask a few questions." Mira said with smirk as she and Ruby showed their detective ID's, causing everyone in the pool hall to flinch.
"Ask about what?" The other man said with sneer, trying to be intimidating but failing miserably.
"We wanna ask about Dexter Deshawn, we heard he and his boys held their meetings here sometimes." Mira said in a sweet but threatening tone.
"Don't know anybody named Dexter Deshawn, now kindly get the fuck out." The man snarled but the girls held their ground.
"My…you never learned how to talk to a lady did you?" Mira asked while narrowing her eyes, while Ruby looked at a group of men who seemed uncomfortable by the situation.
"Mira." Ruby said as she motioned her to follow as Ruby walked over to the group of men. The group of men looked like there were not gonna talk but that would change when the girls were done with them.
"You guys looked uncomfortable with us talking about Dexter Deshawn, wanna tell us what that's about?" Ruby asked curiously.
"We don't know what you are talking about, so piss off." One of the men said angrily but the girls didn't budge.
"OK, I am getting very tired of two things, men not knowing how to talk to women and not giving us answers to questions we know you are aware of. Let me make myself very clear, we just came here to ask a few questions and if you answer them, then we will leave, and you will never see us again. However, if you don't, you will see us again and it will be to put you all in cuffs for crimes we know you have committed. So, what do you say? I think the second option is probably the one you want to avoid." Mira said sweetly with a sinister smile, causing the group to flinch and sigh.
"…What do you want to know?" One of the men asked reluctantly.
"We'd like to know why Dexter Deshawn was found dead in a construction site early this morning." Mira informed them and the group widened their eyes.
"Are you serious?!" The man asked as he couldn't believe it.
"Yep, we found him earlier today dead as a door nail, and his stomach was cut up like you wouldn't believe. You know who could have done that?" Ruby asked with an eyebrow raised and the men conversed with each other.
"It had to be them…" One man said and the others nodded, but Ruby and Mira were confused.
"Them? Who's them?" Mira asked getting annoyed.
"We were in a business deal with Roman Torchwick, the White Fang and this weird other group. We don't know any names because Dex is the one who handled all of that, we were just the muscle. Anyway, we were tasked with finding out places that had a large number of dust so they could be stolen easily. We would get the information, Dex would reach out to his contacts and then give that information to that group whoever they were. The process would just keep going and we would get the cash, life was good." The man said honestly but there was something off about what he said.
"Wait, but if what you said is true then why was Deshawn murdered? From what you say helping this group gave you guys an easy living." Mira stated and one of the grunts shook his head.
"It was at first, but things had gotten crazy lately. Dex found out more about Torchwick and the groups plan, and it was insane. We thought that this was just a cash job, you know making a name for ourselves nothing too major. But these guys? It's like they are asking to be a terrorist group, that guy Torchwick told Dex that the dust was going to be used for bombs, powerful bombs. Then you have the White Fang and those crazy Faunus sounded like they wanted to take over the whole damn world! It was something that we didn't to be a part of, so Dex left a couple days ago to tell them we were out, but I guess they didn't like that." The man said sadly, and the girls just nodded.
"That goes along with what we know already, do you have any idea who could have done this to Deshawn?" Mira asked and one of the men nodded.
"If you ask me, it had to be that red-haired bull faunus from the White Fang, kid is all types of crazy and we only met him once. Can't believe a brat like that gets to command a whole group in the White Fang, must be crazy strong." The man said and Ruby and Mira widened their eyes.
"We had gotten reports about a red haired faunus in a mask, knowing he is a bull faunus may narrow down search results. Wait, you said 'kid' what do you mean by that?" Mira asked.
"I mean that he is a kid compared to us, probably only a couple years older than you two. Don't know his name though, like I said earlier only Dex handled that stuff." The man said honestly and both girls could not believe this information.
The red haired faunus that they had been chasing was only a few years older than them? How was that even possible considering they were still in school? Ruby felt that it was confirmed that Blake 100% knew who this guy was if they were so close in age. She would not be surprised if the two of them went on missions together causing havoc with the White Fang. Ruby still did not know how she was going to approach Blake about this, but considering they still had no name she knew it had to be done. The girls got good information from these guys, so they figured they were done.
"Ok, that is good information, thank you all. If anyone asks we never met, let's go Ruby." Mira said as Ruby nodded, and they left the pool hall.
The girls got back into the car and their minds were spinning with the new information they just got. Apparently, Dexter Deshawn was the only one who knew the names of the other group and his group wanted out because things were getting crazy. As suspected, the dust that was being gathered was going to be used for powerful explosive devices, but they didn't know for what. What scared the girls the most was the realization that this redheaded faunus they had been chasing was close to their age.
"I can't believe this; the guy was trying to get his group out of it, and they kill him? They must really not be taking any chances." Mira said as she focused on the road.
"Whatever these guys are planning must be crazy considering a group of criminals wanted out even though they were making money. I wish that they at least knew their names, but it really seemed like only Deshawn was a name basis with these people. What really has me worried though is what they said about that red-haired faunus. From what they say he is close to our ages and apparently he has a temper…" Ruby said with a finger on her chin.
"Yeah I agree, that is very concerning considering the fact that the White Fang have been committing these very violent crimes recently. If there is an emotional teenager behind them then I would guess that things are only going to get worse from here. Dammit, I wish those group of idiots at least knew the others' names but this information we got is good. When we get back we need to tell the others, maybe this can narrow down our search." Mira said seriously and Ruby nodded as they continued their drive.
Back at Beacon Academy
It was the last day of the weekend and instead of having fun or relaxing, the remainders of Team RWBY and Team JNPR were at the cafeteria eating silently. It had been a week since the revelation of Ruby finding out what they said that night, and the emotions hadn't left since. All of them were sorry for what they said about Ruby and they didn't even feel like going out this past weekend. What was the point? To remind themselves that they neglected Ruby for months?
All of them were sad at that realization and the fact that they didn't realize until it was too late. It was true, they had ditched Ruby for multiple weekends because they wanted to go to parties and other things that they felt she was too young for. What was so wrong about that? Plus, Coco specifically said that she didn't want Ruby to come at the risk of her party being ruined. Why couldn't Ruby understand that and why did she have to make such a big deal out of things? Those were the excuses that they had put out, but they all knew the real reason why she was so mad.
The real reason why Ruby was pissed at them was because they said terrible things about her behind her back and unfortunately she heard them. There was no excuse for that, as bad thoughts about someone should really be kept to yourself but that night the group of teenagers just went wild with them. If they didn't say anything about her that night would Ruby have acted like this? They didn't know but they thought probably not. The WBY looked at their scrolls for the tenth time since sitting at the cafeteria but were met with the same result.
"Still no messages from Ruby huh?" Pyrrha asked the WBY and they shook their heads sadly.
"None, it doesn't even look like she has read a single one of our messages." Blake said angrily and Weiss picked up on that anger.
"This is absolutely ridiculous! How is it she hasn't even read one of our messages and we have sent easily over 100? That unit she is in is for grimm hunting and intelligence gathering isn't it? How busy could she possibly be?!" Weiss asked in frustration, unaware that Ruby was involved in a critical investigation.
"I guess that she is having fun with the new friends that she made in Atlas and considering that she is clearly still upset with us, she doesn't see a reason to communicate with us." Ren said sadly but Nora did not agree.
"Oh, come on Ren! Yes we said mean things about Ruby, but we are all sorry and she needs to get over it! People say mean things about others all the time and they don't have this kind of reaction, so what gives Ruby the right to act this way? And why does she even care? Being recruited to that unit shows how better she is than all of us so what does she care what we say about her? Also, what else are we sorry for? For going to parties that she isn't old enough to go to? And Coco didn't want her going anyway so how is that our fault?!" Nora asked extremely frustrated, and everyone sighed.
"Nora, you are just making excuses and it is not helping. You know that this has nothing to do with Ruby's ego and just because she got recruited doesn't mean she thinks herself better than us. Ruby joined that unit to better herself as a huntress, I doubt that feeling superior to us had anything to do with it. We are supposed to be her friends and that night we were pretty much her enemies, considering the fact that it showed that we don't appreciate her at all. Now, she has a group of friends that like her and appreciate her, that's all this is." Jaune said sadly and Nora put her head down in shame, knowing Jaune was right.
"She is supposed to be back this week right? Or hell, maybe she decided to stay an extra, clearly she is having fun." Yang said in an irritated tone.
"It doesn't matter if she does, we need to apologize the moment she gets back because we can't keep this going on forever. I will be blunt; will Ruby forgive us? I highly doubt it, especially since she has not responded to any of our messages, and it has been a week. Also, will she go back to being the bubbly and happy Ruby? Probably not, she clearly likes who she has become and won't see a reason to go back to her old ways. Even so, we need to let her know that we regret what we said and that we are sorry, then that can be lifted off of our chests." Pyrrha said honestly and the group nodded.
Everything Pyrrha said was true, no one could deny it. They were the ones at fault, even though they did have frustrations with Ruby, it did not mean that they could just talk bad about her behind her back. It was also clear that the teachers were not going to take their side, considering the scolding that Professor Goodwitch gave them. The only way to truly get this terrible feeling off of them was to apologize to Ruby, it didn't matter what day she came back. They only hoped that she would forgive them, but that was looking less and less likely by the day…
Back in Atlas
Ruby and Mira just finished debriefing their unit and the others were thankful, but they could not help but feel freaked out at the situation. Dexter Deshawn and his group wanted out of the operation? What plans could this other group have that would cause a group of criminals making good money to want out of the operation? Sindel and Litchi feared that the White Fang would be trying something on a much larger scale than the mine incident, which is something that they knew would happen sooner or later.
"Thank you girls for getting the information, you did great. This is troubling though, Deshawn wanted out, so they killed him? I highly doubt that he was going to say anything, but I guess they didn't want to take the risk. Whatever these people are planning, it really must be dangerous." Sindel said with a frown as she thought about the possibilities.
"Gotta hand it to Deshawn, he really knew how to do his business in secret and in an efficient way. He didn't let his cronies know the names of the other groups just in case one of them was picked up and were forced to talk about the plan. Really would like to know who these other people are though, that would make our lives much easier." Jago said and the others agreed, but then the door opened to reveal General Ironwood.
"Intelligence, I bring good news. The lab did indeed find implants in Dexter Deshawn's corpse and there was footage taken. It just finished uploading and they are expecting us there, let's get a move on." Ironwood commanded and the Intelligence Unit followed him.
The group walked for a few minutes before getting to the research lab, all of them were anticipating the footage that was picked off from the implants in Dexter Deshawn's neurosystem. Ruby knew that whatever was on this footage will tell them what Torchwick, the White Fang, and this other group was up to. She was confident that they didn't know about Deshawn's implants considering they were still in his skull. If their luck was good enough, whatever was on those implants would help them solve this case and bring it to a close.
The Intelligence Unit got to the lab they saw that there were chairs set up for them and they took their seats. Ruby sat next to Seth who put a hand on her knee to which she smiled and told him that she was ok. The others grabbed their seats along with General Ironwood and were ready to see what the footage showed. As soon as General Ironwood gave the order, the soldiers started the video, and everyone could see what Dexter Deshawn saw.
"Look man, we ain't gonna snitch or nothing but we are out. I don't care if you like it or not, we aren't gonna be apart of your little terrorist game. All we wanted was some cash, not the whole world against us." Dexter Deshawn said honestly.
"I'm sorry, I don't remember saying you and your lackeys could quit this partnership of ours." Roman Torchwick said narrowing his eyes and then turned his head at some newcomers and so did Deshawn, and Ruby widened her eyes.
"Oh, look she brought the kids again!" Roman said with sarcasm as Ruby stood up.
"Oh my God…" Ruby said with eyes as wide as fish and Sindel told the soldier to pause it.
"Ruby, what's wrong? Do you know them?" Sindel asked and Ruby nodded.
"That's Mercury Black and Emerald Sustrai, they are Haven transfers attending Beacon. They are in my class!" Ruby exclaimed and everyone gasped and widened their eyes.
"Wait, did you say from Haven? I've never seen them before!" Seth said honestly as Ruby looked shocked.
"Neither have I!" Shauna acknowledged.
"I am going to call Leonardo Lionheart immediately after this and get some answers, continue rolling the footage." General Ironwood commanded, but he looked a bit uneased as the footage continued.
"This is turning out just like the divorce." Roman said jokingly and the other two looked unnerved.
"Spare us the thought of you procreating." Emerald said annoyed.
"That was a joke, and this just might tell me where you two have been all day." Roman said while holding out a piece a paper that he took from Emerald.
"How did you-" Emerald said freaked out.
"I am a professional sweetheart pay attention you might learn something. Anyway, why do you have this address?" Roman asked and Mercury answered.
"We were cleaning up your mess!" Mercury stated annoyed.
"I had that under control!" Roman replied angrily.
"Two bags and a ticket out of Vale say otherwise." Mercury said with a smirk and everyone was shocked.
"So, they had a man on the inside, but he was going to turn tail, guess we know why those two are attending Beacon." Jago said with a frown.
"Why is Deshawn being so silent?" Akali asked and the others wanted to know that as well, then they turned their attention back to the video.
"Listen you little punk! If it were up to me I would take you and your little street rat friend here-" Roman began to say but was interrupted.
"And do what Roman?" A woman with black hair said as Deshawn looked to the corridor.
"Holy shit, that's Cinder Fall! She came with Mercury and Emerald to Beacon!" Ruby said and everyone widened their eyes.
"OK so what, a group of students from Haven decided to go on a terrorist venture?" Sin asked confused.
"I am not sure but look at her! There is no way that Cinder woman can possibly be a student, hell she looks only a few years younger than Sindel and I!" Litchi said and everyone nodded as they continued to watch.
Roman was clearly afraid of the woman as he took back his threat to her two subordinates. Emerald and Mercury tried to explain that they had cleaned up his mess, but Cinder was having none of it and told them not to do it again. This let the unit and General Ironwood know that she was the boss of this operation, it was written all over her face. Cinder got angry at Roman and asked why the job wasn't done and he responded saying that he was busy stealing all the dust he could find. Then he said it would be a good idea for them to actually tell him about the master plan so the robberies would go smoother.
"Wait, even he doesn't know?!" Bakugo yelled bewildered and the others were too.
"This doesn't make any sense, why would Torchwick get into business with a group that doesn't even tell him their plans? He seems way too smart to do that." Jago said and everyone agreed.
"Judging by Deshawn's body language, I'd say he is getting annoyed. He has probably had enough of this and just wants to go home." Sindel said and everyone looked at the screen closely, seeing she was right.
"Oh Roman, have a little faith, you will know what you need when you need to know." Cinder said seductively as she put a hand on Roman's face.
"Well, what I need you all to know is that I am out and so are my boys. I don't care what you all are planning, and I don't plan on telling the cops a damn thing. But if you and all these crazy bastards want to take over the damn world, actually think you can get away with it? Then you are gonna do it without me, I don't know you and you don't know me. Got it?" Deshawn commanded but the group just glared.
"Who the hell do you think you are?" Cinder said with a growl, but Deshawn didn't flinch.
"I am the guy who is telling you that my crew and I are done with your bullshit. Ain't no way in hell the armies are coming after me. I'm done." Deshawn says as he turns to leave but then hears a voice.
"Who said you could leave?" A voice asked and Deshawn turned to see a faunus with red hair in black outfit, with White Fang members behind him.
"Who the hell is that?!" Shauna asked and everyone wanted to know the answer.
"I don't know but he has emo written all over him." Mira said a bit freaked out.
"I did, and maybe you and your White Fang friends should focus on sending that message that no one gives a damn about." Deshawn said annoyed.
"Oh, I'll send a message…" The man said and in mere seconds he dashed in front of Deshawn and slashed his sword multiple times into his stomach.
"GAH!" Deshawn yelled in pain before he went down, and everyone's eyes widened.
"H-how the hell did he do that?!" Seth asked a bit scared.
"At the pool hall Deshawn's grunts said that the White Fang members were led by a red haired faunus that is not much older than us, guess this is him. Even the grunts who only met him once knew he was strong, but this is ridiculous…" Ruby said in horror.
"Thanks, never liked him much and I hated that he took most of the money. Well Cinder, what happens next?" Roman asked and she smirked.
"You and the White Fang pack this place up, and I will send coordinates for our next location. It is time to move to phase 2." Cinder said evilly and then the video cut out.
"No! Dammit there has to be more of it." Ironwood yelled but the soldiers told him that this was it.
"We didn't even get a name to who that red-haired guy was! And what the hell is phase two?!" Ruby asked shocked and irritated, everyone else shared the same feelings.
They had found out good information, seeing as though Ruby knew three of the offenders on the screen and they were at Beacon Academy posing as transfers from Haven Academy. And just like the grunts at the bar said, Deshawn and his group wanted out, but there were still so many unanswered questions. What exactly were they planning to do with all that dust? Hell, what was their grand plan in general? And who in the hell was that red-haired faunus? He looked to be the leader, but he was so young that everyone doubted it. Either way, they had to find some answers soon or their troubles would just get worst…

Another chapter down! Man, this was a crazy one huh? Suspects are revealed but the plans are still anyone's guess. Hey just so you guys know, if you are a My Hero Academia fan I am starting a new story called Izuku Aizawa, where Izuku will be the son of Eraserhead and Midnight. It's been an idea that I have had for a little while. With Jaune Goodwitch coming to a close I feel like I will have time for it. Ruby only has this week until she goes back to Beacon, what will happen when she goes back? What will they do about Cinder and the others? Find out next time, like and review!
