It was evening at Beacon Academy and Jaune Arc and Pyrrha Nikos of team JNPR were on the rooftop engaging in some sparring. Seeing as though Jaune had a long way to go, Pyrrha saw this as a way to help Jaune improve and to spend some time with him. It was no secret, Pyrrha liked Jaune Arc from the first day that they met. He was the first one who didn't acknowledge her fame and treated her like a normal person, and he was so kind and gentle.

Pyrrha wanted to be with him but for some reason Jaune went after Weiss Schnee even though the heiress made it clear she wasn't interested. That didn't seem to matter to Jaune though, he just kept trying and trying no matter how much he failed. That's why it surprised Pyrrha that Jaune didn't seem to ask Weiss to the dance, and she was even more shocked to see him in a dress. He was laughed at to be sure, but he didn't seem to care, in fact he seemed down in the dumps.

Though he seemed to switch moods when he invited Pyrrha to the dance floor and her team danced along with them, they were the stars of the night. That is before Atlas soldiers busted through the doors along with Ruby and who Pyrrha assumed was her boyfriend, taking away the group from Haven in handcuffs. Like the WBY, Pyrrha wanted answers about that, but she doubted that Ruby could provide them even if it annoyed her.

Speaking of Ruby, Pyrrha couldn't deny that she was a little jealous of the girl having a boyfriend in what seemed like a pretty short time period. Here she was trying to get Jaune to notice her and yet all Ruby had to do was change her appearance, go to Atlas and boom she was in a relationship. Pyrrha wanted to ask her for some tips on what to do with Jaune but considering the girl's new attitude Pyrrha decided not to.

Then we have today when something really interesting happened. After the girls were arguing with the boys about what to do about the newfound discoveries that pertained to Ruby, the girl in question came up to them. Weiss tried to get answers from her but to no avail as Jaune protected Ruby from the interrogation saying that she couldn't give answers anyway. Ruby then smiled and thanked Jaune but she then told him that she loved the dress he wore last night and knew it would go great with his skin…

That had been in Pyrrha's head all day, what exactly did she mean by that? When she asked Jaune earlier he looked embarrassed and just said that he made a bet with Ruby. Pyrrha tried to press him more, but he got more embarrassed and just shrugged it off saying they had to get ready for their mission tomorrow. Pyrrha still had questions though, what exactly did Ruby bet with Jaune? And how did she know about the dress? Pyrrha needed to know and was going to ask now since Jaune yielded in sword practice.

"Man I almost had you, you really are a tournament champion Pyrrha!" Jaune praised with a smile and she smiled back.

"Don't set yourself short Jaune, you are getting better and better each day!" Pyrrha said happily.

"Thank you Pyrrha, well we might wanna head back and get some rest for our mission tomorrow. We will need all of our energy for it." Jaune said as he sheathed his sword and began walking back.

"Before that, can I ask you something?" Pyrrha asked hesitantly and Jaune turned back around.

"Of course, what's on your mind?" Jaune asked curiously and Pyrrha took a breath before continuing.

"Jaune, what was the bet that you made with Ruby?" Pyrrha asked curiously and Jaune looked embarrassed.

"I told you it's nothing Pyrrha, don't worry about it." Jaune said trying to dismiss the situation, but Pyrrha was having none of it.

"That's a lie Jaune and you know it, we have seen you down in the dumps for the past week. Not only that but you wore a dress last night because I didn't have a date, how did that even come about? From what Ruby said earlier about the dress going with your skin I must assume it was a crazy bet you two made, I just want to know the context." Pyrrha said calmly and Jaune sighed before he addressed the red-haired beauty in front of him.

"A few days after Ruby yelled at us, I was out Team RWBY's room getting ready to sing to Weiss and ask her to the dance. Before that happened though, Ruby showed up behind me and asked what I was doing with that scary glare of hers. When I told her that I was about to ask Weiss to the dance, she rubbed her temples in annoyance before literally dragging me up here to the rooftop. It was then that we discussed some things…" Jaune said sadly and Pyrrha noticed his sadness.

"What kind of things Jaune?" Pyrrha asked nervously.

"She told me that she figured out I faked my way into Beacon since someone in her unit is one of my old classmates who was way better than me. Ruby said she wasn't going to rat me out though and that Ozpin probably already knows, but she did tell me something. She said that I was doing the same thing I did with Cardin, lying to myself to try to achieve something that I can but I know I can't. Just like how I thought I could deal with Cardin on my own, she said I was trying to live a false reality by thinking that Weiss could like me and that I was being creepy." Jaune said depressed and Pyrrha's eyes widened.

In all honesty Pyrrha didn't know how to feel right now. On one hand she was thankful for Ruby for getting Jaune out of this notion that Weiss was interested in him in any way. Hopefully this meant that he would start to see the feelings she had for him, and they could be together. On the other hand, Pyrrha didn't think that Ruby needed to be that harsh with Jaune, especially with how underconfident he was. Maybe she was just mad at Ruby from all the stuff she said, she didn't know but decided to be comforting Jaune.

"I'm sorry Jaune, Ruby shouldn't have been so harsh." Pyrrha said in a sympathizing tone but Jaune shook his head.

"No, I am actually glad she did it, I really needed to hear it." Jaune said honestly and Pyrrha widened her eyes.

"What do you mean Jaune?" Pyrrha asked completely confused and Jaune sighed.

"Ruby was right Pyrrha, I feel like such a jackass. I did all that stupid stuff and said all those dumb pick-up lines to Weiss not taking into consideration how she felt. She was never interested, and my dumbass just took it as her playing hard to get so I just kept coming back. I was being so insensitive and creepy; I just didn't want to take the hint and accept the fact that she didn't like me back. I was making a fool out of myself, and I am grateful to Ruby for helping me after all that I said about her.

Especially because now, I am wondering if I even liked Weiss at all. Did I really like her or was I just so hellbent on making her acknowledge me? No matter how much I don't like to admit it I think it was the latter, I haven't done well in nearly anything since I came to Beacon, so I just wanted to accomplish this one thing. But all I was doing was making an idiot of myself and bothering Weiss, Ruby's reality check was harsh, but I really needed it. I can't live in a fantasy world anymore, and I need to focus on improving because I am way behind." Jaune said with honesty in his voice as Pyrrha looked amazed.

Pyrrha really couldn't believe what just came out of Jaune's mouth and was amazed that Ruby had everything to do with it. The girl who she thought hated all of them because they talked about her behind her back, apparently did what Pyrrha was afraid to do. She wanted to tell Jaune this, but she never did since she didn't want to hurt his feelings. It was infuriating seeing Jaune flirt with Weiss, but she didn't have it in her to tell Jaune the truth.

Thanks to Ruby though, Jaune had finally seen the light and it seemed that he was done chasing around this fantasy that Weiss was interested in him. And from what Jaune said, it didn't sound like Ruby did this to be mean but ultimately for Jaune's wellbeing. It made Pyrrha confused, Ruby was being so distant to them all and ignoring them, yet she gave Jaune this reality check? Did that mean she still cared about them or was Jaune's foolishness just annoying her? She didn't know but there was something else that confused Pyrrha.

"I am glad to hear that you have a new perspective on things Jaune, but I am confused on how I came into this conversation?" Pyrrha said confused and Jaune sighed again and looked down.

"I was sad after Ruby told me that Weiss really didn't like me and was struggling to come to terms with it. She then told me that I could find out who really likes me and ask her to the dance. I asked her what she meant, and she told me that you liked me…" Jaune said awkwardly and Pyrrha's eyes widened to the size of saucers.

"She…she told you…" Pyrrha stuttered as her face was as red as a tomato.

"Yeah…" Jaune said embarrassed as they both looked to the side.

Pyrrha was feeling…a lot of emotions right now. Her heart couldn't stop racing due to the shock and embarrassment of her crush knowing her feelings for him. Part of her wanted to ring Ruby's neck for telling Jaune that she liked him, but the other half was a bit thankful. It's not like Pyrrha was going to do it anytime soon and thanks to Ruby, Jaune danced with her last night. Maybe she should repay Ruby by not bothering her like she clearly wanted.

"I see…so that's why you were in the dress and danced with me?" Pyrrha asked a bit flustered.

"Yeah, Ruby told me to ask you to the dance and I told her that there was no way you liked me. I told Ruby that if you didn't have a date then I would wear a dress, to which she snorted and told me to wear white since it would go great with my skin hehe. And…here we are." Jaune said awkwardly as Pyrrha looked to the ground.

"I see…so what are we going to do now?" Pyrrha asked awkwardly.

"Well…maybe after our mission I can take you to dinner and we can talk about things?" Jaune said shyly as his face was bright red and so was Pyrrha's.

"Um…I would like that very much." Pyrrha said with a sweet smile but on the inside she was screaming.

"Great, we should head back now." Jaune said with a smile as he and Pyrrha walked back.

The two started walking back and Jaune hesitantly grabbed Pyrrha's hand who looked shocked but squeezed Jaune's in response. The two smiled at each other as they walked back to their room, preparing for their mission tomorrow. Pyrrha was in pure heaven as she finally got what she wanted since she met Jaune, and hoped that they could grow into a relationship. That being said, she felt bad about how she treated Ruby when she had done this for her, she knew she needed to apologize and say thank you to her when she got back.

Sector 5 Quadrant:

Ruby was sound asleep as Yang took over her watch about an hour ago, the blonde-haired cousin glaring at the redhaired one. She only rolled her eyes and went to lay in her sleeping bag, drifting to sleep and recollecting the conversation that occurred before. While Ruby was on watch, she overheard the WBY talking about the lectures they got from Doctor Oobleck. It turned out that they were unaware of how they were going to fully achieve their goals in the future.

With Weiss, she knew that she wanted to change her father's company as she was not stupid, she knew what Jacques was doing. She felt the need to make it right, but she was not sure of how to accomplish that by just becoming a huntress. For Blake, she always felt that she fought for what she believed was right and joined the academy because huntsmen acted in the best interest of others. What she didn't know was how she was going to undo so many years of hatred.

It was no secret that the Faunus and humans were at war with each other, but what really interested Ruby was Blake's talk about her old partner, Adam. The way she spoke of him sounded like he was the embodiment of hatred, all too similar of someone her unit had caught on video. It truly sounded like the bull Faunus who killed Dexter Deshawn and this Adam guy were the same person. If her unit didn't find any other information, Ruby was going to have to ask Blake about that guy if he was Adam or not.

Finally, Yang said that she didn't really have a goal in mind for becoming a huntress. She wanted to live her life not knowing what will come the next day, and that would be a good thing. Ruby didn't find any problem with that; life didn't always have to be straight forward and it should be full of excitement. It was a lifestyle that suited Yang considering how carefree and gun-ho she was, Ruby just hoped that carelessness of hers didn't end up in something bad happening.

Ruby heard her cousin say how she wanted to be a hero just like the ones in the story book and that being a huntress was her main goal. It was true, she didn't want to be anything else other than a huntress and you could see it with all the work she put in. It wasn't like Ruby was good at anything else, plus this was her passion so she didn't feel the need to focus on anything else. And she would clearly make some good relationships with others if this past month was anything to go by.

Still, it was good to see that her teammates were going about their goals and had the passion to achieve them. Ruby may not have liked them, but she still needed them to work hard so that they could all graduate. It was refreshing to know that they wouldn't spend all their time irritating her about her personal life and focus on their growth instead. Ruby was enjoying her sleep until a familiar licking of her face woke her up.

"Wha…Zwei? It's late, go back to bed." Ruby said groggily as she laid back down on her pillow.

The corgi just looked at her though before turning around and going out the building. Ruby called out to him quietly, but the dog didn't listen, causing her to roll her eyes and go out after him silently. She didn't want to wake up the others, especially since she was the one who brought Zwei in the first place. Honestly, Zwei was lucky that Ruby's new boots cost so much money or else he would be using Blake's stuff as chew toys. When Ruby got outside, she tried to find Zwei, and after a few moments of silently, she found him doing what all dogs do.

"Seriously Zwei? We are in a wasteland; you could have done that anywhere." Ruby said with a deadpan look on her face.

The adorable corgi just looked at the red-haired beauty and immediately went to her knees, telling her that he wanted to be picked up. Rolling her silver eyes, Ruby did as she was told and chuckled a bit as the dog licked her face happily. Honestly, the things that she did for this dog and would probably do in the future. Ruby was about to head back to her not so comfortable sleeping bag until she heard a voice and immediately hid herself and Zwei behind a wall.

"What's wrong?" A voice asked.

"I thought I heard something, a Beowulf or something else." Another voice said a bit confused.

"Whatever, let's just go finish our patrol and get back to base." The first voice said as they started to leave.

Ruby peeked around the corner and her eyes widened as she saw the sources of those voices wearing White Fang masks. It seems her team's intuition was correct; the White Fang were indeed in the Southeast but what were they doing. One of the members said that they needed to finish their patrol, so clearly there was a base, and they didn't want to be interrupted. Ruby was sure Torchwick had something to do with it and she was going to find out what and report to her unit.

'Look who finally shows their face, ok White Fang let us see what you have been up too…' Ruby thought as she carried Zwei in her arms while trailing the two White Fang members.

Using her skills in stealth, Ruby was somehow able to trail the two White Fang members without making any noise, even with her dog in her arms. After about five minutes, the two white fang members came to a stop and Ruby noticed that there was a door in front of them. That had to be where the rest of them were, she needed to act fast. Ruby knew she couldn't take on the whole White Fang and her team needed to know what she was up to before they started looking for her, so sat Zwei down and pulled out a sticky note from her belt.

"Go to Yang and give this to her, do it quietly. I will be back soon." Ruby said in a quiet tone as she hoped Zwei didn't bark.

Thankfully the corgi just took the sticky note and began running back to their base of operations. Sighing in relief, Ruby turned to look at the two White Fang members who were about to open the door. Seeing her chance, Ruby turned crescent rose into its dual pistol mode and activated her semblance. Zooming over in a flash, Ruby quickly used the ends of her pistols to knock out the two White Fang members who never saw it coming. Once they were down, she quickly pulled them to the side before going back to the door.

"Sorry boys, but you need to take a nap. Now, let's see what you have been up to…" Ruby said as she narrowed her eyes and went inside.

As Ruby went down the stairs and opened the door, she could not believe what she was seeing. It was like an underground town, so big and full of white fang soldiers carrying weapons and also boxes. Thanks to being at the shooting range so many times, Ruby's vision improved so she could see long distances. When she got a better look at what was in the box, she was shocked to find that the soldiers were carrying bombs.

'How did they get their hands on explosives like that?! Wait, do not tell me…' Ruby thought as her eyes widened in realization.

The dust, Roman Torchwick was robbing that dust store the moment they met and he clearly did not stop there. She and her team also found Torchwick with the White Fang at the docks a few months ago, claiming that he and the terrorist organization were going on a joint business venture together. Ruby had wondered what he meant by that, and she finally got her answer. With the dust that Torchwick accumulated, the White Fang was making powerful bombs, probably to use in their next escapade.

But if that was true, why do it down here? In a sector that has been abandoned and is infested with nothing besides beowulves and ancient grimm. Ruby didn't understand but when she got a good look around, she did. There were train tracks here and it looked like the White Fang had got the trains moving again as they were likely moving the materials for the bombs. Ruby surmised that they were going to use the trains to move the bombs to Vale, causing more destruction.

'This is bad…I have to let Sindel, and the others know about this.' Ruby thought in determination.

Grabbing her scroll, Ruby moved a few inches from the corner she was hiding behind and took a few pictures. She made sure to have to flash off and get every detail of this underground factory, especially the White Fang members and the bombs. Once she had everything she needed, she quickly but silently went out the way she came, not wanting to be spotted. Ruby left the stairs and the coast was clear, she tried to send the pictures to her group, but there was no signal.

"Dammit! Ok think Ruby think! Wait a second, I still have some of those signal enhancers from Shauna!" Ruby said in delight as she opened her belt pocket.

Sure enough there were miniature devices located in Ruby's belt compartment that came from her friend. Not only was Shauna insanely smart, but she also learned how to invent some things from her father who used to be a scientist in Atlas. Ruby put the device on the back of her scroll, and instantly the signal came on even though it was just two bars, but it was more than enough. Thankful for her friend's inventiveness, Ruby sent the pictures to her unit and then called her boss.

Outside of the Atlas Prison:

Sindel Diamond along with her partner Litchi Faye Ling and detective Mirajane Strauss were coming out of the prison after a long night. They tried to ask many prisoners about this supposed White Fang leader after their new guests had been silent. Unfortunately for them though there was no luck as the other prisoners either did not know or just didn't want to tell them. Sindel sighed, with every step in this case it seemed there were two steps back.

Sindel was incredibly proud of Ruby and Seth for getting to the tower on time and incapacitating Cinder. She didn't care that the two were dating, if they got results like this and were able to keep it professional during work hours that's all that matter. Sindel really wanted to get this case closed as soon as possible because she was worried about what would happen if it went on for any longer.

No one in the intelligence unit knew much about Cinder Fall or her two accomplices, and that was worrisome in of itself as two of her detectives were from Haven. She thought about contacting headmaster Leonardo Lionheart about this but agreed with her unit that it may not be the best course of action. Not to mention that Lionheart was a prime suspect in this case, considering Cinder and those other two had to get those ID's from somewhere.

Sindel hated to get the kids to all come back to Atlas so soon, but she felt like she would have to with the way things were going. She doubted that her detectives would care much though, seeing as though they all were skilled and wanted to help as much as possible. Hell, just look at Mirajane and how a busy student like her was willing to stay the whole night to help. Sindel felt lucky to have such a devoted and caring girl like Mirajane in her unit, she really brightened the room.

"Mira, thank you so much for all your help and I am sorry to keep you here all night, I know you must also be busy with schoolwork." Sindel said in an apologetic tone, but Mira just shook her head.

"Don't worry about it ma'am, school work can always take a step back for the greater good. Besides it's not like I won't have time to do it, I am always happy to help." Mira said with a smile as her superiors smiled back.

"Thank you love, it's so reassuring to know that my unit is full of people like you." Sindel said greatfully.

"Speaking of the unit, it may not be long before we must get the others to come back here. We will need to think of a plan to find those white fang members and whoever else those three were working with. That's easier said than done though…" Litchi said as she rubbed her temples.

"Yeah, we can be certain that the White Fang aren't anywhere near here thanks to that mining incident and the SDC allegations. Ruby said that she saw them with Torchwick in Vale but that was a couple months ago, right? There is no telling where they could be now." Mira said as she put her thumb on her chin in a thinking position.

"Speaking of Ruby, she's calling right now, isn't she supposed to be on a mission?" Sindel asked and the other two were wondering the same thing.

"Yeah, she told me that she was going on a mission when I talked to her yesterday. Plus she said that she was going to Quadrant 5, she shouldn't have any cell phone signal over there. Did something happen?" Mira wondered aloud as Sindel answered the call and put it on speaker.

"Ruby, it is nearly the crack of dawn, is everything alright? Aren't you supposed to be on a mission?" Sindel asked worriedly.

"I found the White Fang, look at the pictures I just sent!" Ruby said immediately as Mira did as she was told and pulled her scroll, the three women couldn't believe what they were seeing.

"Is that a factory?! Ruby where even are you right now?" Litchi asked trying to understand the situation.

"I went on the mission with my team as we are in the Sector 5 Quadrant, this morning I found a couple of White Fang members patrolling the area. I followed them to a door before knocking them out and going inside to have a look. Sindel, they have been taking refuge in the tunnels underground located in the Sector 5 Quadrant area, and they somehow got the trains working. I also saw them carrying what looked like bombs, I'm fearing the worse here." Ruby said seriously and the other three couldn't blame her.

"Oh my God…they are going to do what they did in that mine in Atlas but a hundred times worse. If the trains are running that means they can get them to parts of Vale and blow it up. And God only knows what happens if all those negative emotions are in the air, grimm will come in like it's a field day. Man, this just went from bad to worse…" Mira said as she covered her mouth in shock.

Sindel had to agree with what her detective just said, things really were taking a turn for the worse. After arresting the three impostors from Haven last night, she thought that they would have at least a little time before something crazy happened again but apparently not. If the White Fang really were going to try another terrorist attack, then the intelligence unit needed to stop them as soon as possible. They could find out about Torchwick and that red haired faunus once this threat was stopped, hell they may even find out during.

If they coordinated this right, they should be able to find an opening in that secret base and construct a raid. That way they could take them by surprise without having any bombs go off and Sindel doubted the skill of the White Fang grunts. Though, they couldn't do anything with Ruby's team still there so they would have to go back to Beacon. Once they were back and Sindel had called the rest of the unit, they would make their move. From Ruby's report it didn't sound like they were going to use bombs today, so they had little time.

"Ruby, get your team back to Beacon now, I will call Professor Ozpin and tell him the situation so he can send a transport. I'm going to call all the members back and we will have about a day to go over the new plan and hopefully stop this madness. Is that understood?" Sindel said sternly.

"Of course, ma'am, I will tell my team and Doctor Oobleck the news. They should still be back at our camp considering that I left them a note telling them to stay put as I would be back-" Ruby tried to say before she was interrupted by a familiar scream.

"RUBY!" Yang screeched as she came into view along with her team and Doctor Oobleck.

"That none of them read." Ruby deadpanned in an annoyed voice and the three on the other side of the phone rubbed their temples.

"You dolt! Who do you think you are going off on your own like that?!" Weiss nagged in a furious expression, but Doctor Oobleck widened his eyes for some reason.

"Miss Schnee don't move!" Oobleck tried to tell the girl, but Weiss shut him out.

"I have a half a mind to-AH!" Weiss screamed as the ground beneath her and the other three caved in and they all fell into the White Fang's hiding area.

"And the ground crumbled beneath them, and they just fell into where the White Fang is hiding. Considering the trajectory, all eyes of the White Fang are probably now on my team and professor…" Ruby said as she slapped her forehead in frustration.

"Oh my God…" Mira said as she put her face in her hands, feeling utter disbelief and anger.

The two women in charge of the intelligence unit were feeling similar emotions. It took all Sindel's willpower not to scream at the top of her lungs at the recent events. Of course, she should have known that Ruby's team wouldn't do as she asked and stay put, especially after Mira told her that Ruby's team was pestering her about the investigation. She and Litchi were planning to have a talk with Glynda Goodwitch about that so she could put those girls in their places, but it seemed like it was too little too late.

Now instead of getting the team together to come up with a plan, it seemed like Sindel, Litchi and Mira were going to have to race to Quadrant 5 and save their fellow detective and her team. Ruby was very skilled, but she couldn't take on all those White Fang members by herself and it seemed like her team wouldn't follow her orders. This made Sindel realize that they had to get to Ruby before the White Fang did something stupid or her team did something stupid, both would have bad outcomes.

"Ma'am, permission to engage the enemy and help my team escape with our lives?" Ruby asked as she got crescent rose out.

"Permission granted Ruby; we are on our way to help you out!" Sindel said as she ended the call.

"I will send a note to your classes Mira, we have to go help Ruby." Litchi said seriously and Mira nodded.

"Of course, let's go find a bullhead!" Mira said as the three went to go help Ruby.

Back at Sector 5:

Ruby quelled down her frustrations with her team and got her game face on. She could yell at them later, right now she had to get down there to help them out with the trouble that they were most likely facing. Jumping down the hole, Ruby put her weapon into the dual pistol mode and let out some bullets that were able to disarm a few White Fang members pointing their weapons at the WBY and Doctor Oobleck.

The members of the White Fang wondered what happened until Ruby dropped down and got in front of her team and teacher in a protective stance with her guns drawn. The White Fang members seemed to look a little afraid at the girl in front of them seeing as though she looked like a bounty hunter. Ruby didn't notice it but some of the Faunus were looking at Blake with hate in their eyes, clearly some of them had history with the Faunus.

"Ruby…" Blake said in amazement as her team leader disarmed a few grunts without much trouble.

"We will discuss this later, get ready to fight." Ruby commanded the WBY with a glare as they glared back but they soon heard a voice.

"Well, well, look what the cat dragged in." A familiar annoying voice said, and Ruby narrowed her eyes.

"Torchwick…" Ruby said in disgust as the cane wielding and bowl hat wearing man came into view.

"My, my red, you got a hell of a makeover, I barely even recognized you!" Roman said amazed and almost impressed.

"Unlucky for you, my hair is just the start of this makeover…" Ruby said with a grin as she pointed her guns at Torchwick, ready for fight that was about to begin, not knowing how crazy it was going to be…
