TW: Glad you enjoyed it. I doubt Korg will appear again, I love him but there's no real place for him to appear again. We'll see on Sif and Valkyrie. You'll see on Bruce and Scott.

Ellie Bishop: Yep. You'll see on Bucky. Indeed on Rhodey. Yep, HA!

Jinero: And you as well.

Guest 1: You're right; I have fixed it since then, thank you for pointing it out to me.

Guest 2: Thank you. Yep. Certainly is. No spoilers on Zemo. You'll see on the Pyms.

Mid Afternoon

In the sitting room, Hank and Hope sat on the sofa, watching as Scott paced back and forth. The irony that he had done this in the recordings before telling Steve and Natasha his plan wasn't lost on him.

"Scott, are you okay?" Hope asked, truly worried about her boyfriend's state of mind.

"Yeah. Just…I have something to tell you and it's going to change everything," Scott said, running his hands over his face.

"Scott, if it's this important, just come out and say it," Hank said, trying his best to be patient with his protégé.

"Okay, okay. Well, I guess the thing to start with is…Janet is alive," Scott said and braced for the explosion.

"What?" Hope asked, the blood draining from her face.

"Scott, you have three seconds to start explaining what you are talking about," Hank said and Scott could tell he was close to snapping.

"Okay, this is going to sound crazy, but I sort of…time traveled," Scott said lamely.

"Scott, time travel is impossible," Hope said like she was talking to a child.

"Yeah, it's impossible right now. But not in the future. I was plucked from this timeline and taken about twenty years into the future. Look, I can prove it. Hope, when you were a kid, you'd always hide in the wardrobe during hide and seek. And ever since I got out of the Quantum Realm, you two have been looking into the possibility that Janet may still be alive," Scott said, stunning Hank and Hope. "How could I know that if I didn't go to the future?"

Hope and Hank exchanged a glance, seeming to have an entire conversation with just their eyes before turning back to him.

"I'm not saying we believe you…but start from the beginning," Hank ordered.

"Wow, so this is where you grey up?" Bruce asked as Thor showed him to the guest chambers, Bruce looking around in amazement.

"Not here, I grew up in the main wing of the palace. But yes," Thor confirmed. "Banner, there are things we need to discuss."

"Right, how are the others? How's Nat?" Bruce asked, eager for news on his friends.

"Nat's…good. I just saw them recently. It's why I came to get you actually," Thor said and Bruce looked at him confused. "We recently experienced a trip through time."

"Wait, are you saying you guys time traveled?" Bruce asked in disbelief.

"Yes, we did. To the year 2033 in fact. We were brought there by Barton's future self and others," Thor explained. "They wanted to warn us of a future threat. Several in fact."

"Please tell me Loki isn't going to invade New York again," Bruce pleaded and Thor smiled tightly.

"My friend, once I finish what I have to tell you, you may long for my brother…"

In another part of the palace, Wanda stepped out of an Asgardian shower, drying her hair. After she had expressed a desire to take a shower once they returned to earth, Thor had graciously instructed one of the servants to escort her to one of the guest chambers, where the servants had explained how Asgardian showers worked.

There was no comparison, Wanda decided as she got dressed. Earth showers were now going to feel inferior.

Once she was finished, there was a knock on the door.

"Um, come in," Wanda said, wondering who could be coming to see her.

The door opened and Wanda was surprised to see Heimdall walk in.

"Lady Maximoff," he said respectfully.

"Heimdall, right?" Wanda asked, playing dumb and he smiled slightly.

"You need not pretend with me, I know you already know who I am," Heimdall said, taking Wanda aback. "No, Thor hasn't told me anything. But I have kept on eye on Thor's friends from earth. And I sense that something has happened. You need not worry; I am not here to pry."

"Then why are you here?" Wanda asked wearily, uncomfortable with the way Heimdall's eyes seemed to look right through her.

"You hold much guilt in your heart little one. It is not a crime to be alive after so much death. You are not being punished for your sins. You deserve to be happy. Whether you can come to terms with that is up to you," Heimdall then bowed his head. "Milady."

Heimdall then walked out of the room and Wanda stared after him, unsure what had just happened.

In Bruce's guest chambers, Bruce sat on the bed, trying to process what Thor had just told him.

"So this Thanos guy, he goes to planet to planet, wiping out half the population. And in two years, he's gonna use the Infinity Stones to wipe out half off all life," Bruce said, his mind whirling. "Can he even do that?"

"To wield the six Infinity Stones, one can do virtually anything," Thor said grimly. "And he is merely the last threat."

"Right. These Accords sound pretty awful, and Ross is spearheading them?" Bruce asked horrified. "Did the whole world go nuts?"

"No, there's no explanation other than corrupt politicians. Sadly, it's not something that earth is alone in. I've seen it more times than I can count," Thor said darkly. "But we're putting plans in place to deal with The Accords and Ross."

"And this sister of yours? She sounds like trouble," Bruce noted and Thor smiled grimly.

"Indeed she is. Which is why I need your help to build a prison that can contain her," Thor said and Bruce nodded.

"Yeah, no problem. This Negative Zone sounds fascinating," Bruce said interested. "But I think we should deal with Ross first."

"Agreed," Thor said with a nod. "We shall leave for Earth in a few hours. But first, there is something I must do."

"You want to do what?!"

In all honesty, Hank had let Scott get further along in his explanation than he thought. He paid very close attention when Scott had started explaining about Ava and Foster, only grumbling a little. But when Scott started talking about working with the Avengers, well, Hank reacted as expected.

"I spent years trying to keep my technology out of Stark's hands and you want to just hand it to him?!" Hank snarled.

"It's more complicated than that Hank," Scott tried to explain. "This isn't just about Janet or Ava."

"Dad, calm down and let Scott explain," Hope reasoned, placing a hand on her father's shoulder.

"Thank you Hope," Scott said gratefully.

"Oh I still think working with Tony Stark is a terrible idea. But I'm willing to hear you out," Hope said honestly.

Scott nodded, already expecting this. He knew he'd have to word this very carefully to get Hope and Hank on board. But at least they were listening.

"Okay, in a few months, the UN is going to ratify a document called the Sokovia Accords. It basically allows the UN to have complete power over the Avengers and all powered/enhanced people. In another life, they came for you two because of the suit. You two have to go on the run, which makes trying to get Janet out of the Quantum Realm a lot harder," Scott said and saw the looks on their faces. "I know how this sounds, trust me. I wouldn't have believed it either if I hadn't seen it myself. Look, in a week the Avengers are gonna go to Lagos to apprehend a former Hydra agent. If I'm wrong, don't listen to me. But I need your help to stop something that's coming. It's gonna hurt a lot of people. It would help if we were all working together."

Scott then walked out, leaving Hope and Hank sitting down. Once they heard the front door close, Hope turned to her father.

"What do you think?" Hope inquired.

"It does sound crazy. But time travel, with the right technology, could be possible," Hank allowed.

"And Scott may act like an idiot, but he's smart. If he believes this so strongly, then I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt," Hope said.

"Let's wait and watch. If Scott is right and there is an incident is Lagos with the Avengers… then he really did go to the future and we need to listen to what he has to say," Hank said, looking like he didn't much like that option.

Bucky stared at the cryo chamber Tony had given to the med bay upon the Avengers' return to the past when Steve walked up beside him.

"You sure about this?" Steve asked, not sure whether he was talking to Bucky or himself.

"Thought you believed this was my best chance," Bucky said.

"I do. I just want to make sure you've thought this through," Steve said and Bucky smiled tightly.

"I can't trust my own mind. Until this doctor friend of yours can fix that, I think going back under is the best thing for everyone," Bucky said softly.

"It's only temporary Buck," Steve quickly assured him.

"I hope so. But if it's not…tell Natalia you like her," Bucky said, smiling at Steve's gobsmacked look. "Maybe you don't see it, but it's pretty obvious to me you have feelings for her. Maybe you don't know what those feelings are, but don't put your life on hold anymore."

Steve stared at him, his mind whirling as Helen walked up behind them.

"Are you ready Bucky?" she asked and he nodded.

"Yeah," Bucky said before getting up and looking over at Steve. "Don't do anything stupid until I get back."

"How can I? You're taking all the stupid with you," Steve quipped and the two chuckled.

"It's gonna be okay Steve," Bucky said before the two hugged tightly.

Steve then watched as Bucky stepped into the chamber. Helen flipped a switch and Bucky closed his eyes. The lid of the chamber lowered over Bucky, closing before it froze.

"I'll do everything I can for him, but I'm cautiously optimistic that I can help him," Helen assured Steve.

Steve didn't answer, simply staring at Bucky through the chamber lid. Once again feeling alone in the world.

Asgard

Not long after

In the throne room, Thor sat on the throne, having a feeling he was going to have to get used to it. In front of the throne, Sif and Skurge knelt on the floor, waiting for Thor to speak.

"Get up," Thor ordered and they got to their feet. "Where is the Valkyrie?"

"The last we saw her, she was at bar, ordering a drink," Sif said and Thor nodded. "Did you summon her as well?"

"No Skurge, I want you to keep an eye on Valkyrie," Thor instructed. "Be discreet. Do not under any circumstances let her know you are watching her."

"Right, you can count on me," Skurge said, eager to keep his new position.

"I hope so. Leave us," Thor ordered.

Skurge nodded, quickly heading out the door. Sif did not speak until Skurge had closed the door behind him.

"Permission to speak freely," Sif requested, knowing Thor was still angry with her.

"You need not my permission Sif. But I grant it anyway," Thor said with a nod.

"Did you not fight side by side with the Valkyrie on this Sakaar? Why do you want her watched?" Sif asked confused.

"Because on Sakaar, she was involved with some rather unsavory business. She was lost, but I'm not certain I can trust her just yet," Thor revealed. "It would be foolish of me not to have her watched just yet."

Sif nodded, understanding his reasons. Thor had seen Valkyrie's potential in the recordings, but he knew she had been a slaver. She needed to prove herself to him before he gave her his full trust.

"Now, down to business," Thor said and Sif gave him her attention. "As I'm going to be crowned king soon, it will much more difficult for me to travel between here and Midgard. As my first act as king, I'm appointing you the liaison between the Avengers and myself."

For a moment, Sif stared at him in shock, not quite sure what to say. This had not been what she expected. A more foolish woman would have thought Thor was punishing her. But Sif knew him better than that. He would only give this position to someone he trusted.

"Thank you for trusting me with this," Sif said humbly, bowing her head.

"I do not forgive you. It will take time for me to trust you the way I once did. But I remember what happened last time I allowed my anger to cloud my judgment," Thor said as he thought of the events leading to his banishment. "For whatever else has happened between us, I know you are loyal and a friend. There is no one else I would trust with this."

"I shall do my best," Sif said, bowing her head and Thor smiled tightly.

"I know," Thor said before getting to his feet. "Now, let us get Banner and the little witch. It is time to head back to Earth."

While I think Hope and Hank wouldn't outright dismiss Scott's story, I do think they would need some proof before they believed him.

I like Valkyrie, I do, but let's not pretend she wasn't a slaver on Sakaar and her trauma is not a justification or an excuse for it.

Thor is not yet ready to forgive Sif, but given his history, he knows better than to allow his anger cloud his judgment.
