TW: Glad to hear it. Really not going to be involving the villains for AOS, as the AOS characters will be able to handle them.

Guest: Well, both are highly stubborn, so it'll take some time. Glad to hear it. Even if they were in a relationship, it still would not justify Peggy's reaction, there's action parallels to domestic violence n that scene which, if you know Steve's comic history, makes it even worse. Oh I completely agree, Steve's ending is one of Endgame's biggest cons. Agreed, we see Steve rejecting a life with Peggy in AOU, making him going back to her in Endgame even weirder. Yeah, unlike in the MCU, Tony is actually taking responsibility. Agreed, outside Thanos and Loki, I think Tony is responsible for every major villain in every movie he's had a major role plus FFH, which is actually pretty disturbing. Yep.

Ellie Bishop: To me, W'Kabi seems to be someone who wants to take perceived injustices against him (in this case, the death of his parents due to Klaue) out on the rest of the world. Which is probably why he went so far with Killmonger. Thank you very much. Completely agree about Peggy. Tony will actually have a very interesting reaction to what went down with Toomes. No they will not.

Avengers Tower

Morning

"If you're just joining us, we're discussing the arrest of Adrian Toomes. Details are still coming in, but rumor has it that Toomes and the people who worked with him had developed weapons from technology they acquired from remnants of the Chitauri in New York. Toomes was apprehended last night by Iron Man."

Tony was in his work shop, watching the news report on Toomes before, with a sigh, he turned it off. Tony sat down, looking reflective when he heard footsteps.

"You don't seem like a guy who just stopped a gang of criminals," Scott noted as he walked up behind Tony.

"Hard to feel good about it when I helped create the problem," Tony said grimly.

"Come on man, you didn't hand the guy Chitauri tech and tell him to be a criminal," Scott argued.

"Maybe not, but I cost him his job which motivated him to turn to crime. And I've been thinking about what he said, about how I build myself back up at the expense of others. And he's right," Tony said, looking pained. "Who do I actually help? I haven't stopped making weapons, I just stopped distributing them. And then there's Ultron. I claimed after Afghanistan that I would no longer be part of a system that was comfortable with no accountability, but I don't take responsibility for my actions. I try to justify myself, I try to make myself feel better no matter who it hurts. I give donations to colleges, but how does that actually help anyone who needs it? I tell myself I'm helping but…but it's just lip service."

"So what exactly are you saying Tony?" Scott asked, not really sure what Tony was trying to say.

"I'm saying, that it's time for a change," Tony said although he really didn't know where to start.

"Apparently you and Tony were busy," Rhodey mentioned to Vision as they and Sam were watching a report on Toomes' arrest.

"Who knew we had an alien weapons ring in our own backyard," Sam mused as Natasha walked in.

"Really shouldn't be much of a surprise. Even with Damage Control, people were bound to get their hands on Chitauri technology. I'm just surprised we haven't heard anything about this sooner," Natasha said, pulling a bottle of water out of the fridge and taking a drink of it.

"So we could have a whole bunch of criminals with Chitauri weapons out there. Great," Rhodey said sarcastically.

"As technology advances, so will the criminal element," Vision said and Sam shrugged.

"He's got a point," Sam said and there was a pause before Sam glanced back at Natasha. "So, how was your date with Steve?"

"A lady doesn't kiss and tell," Natasha said cheekily.

"Yeah, like you're a lady," Rhodey teased and she merely shrugged before walking off.

"Well, guess we know it didn't go badly anyway," Sam said, taking a drink out of his coffee cup. "She seems happy."

"Which is kind of weird. It's weird right, Nat and Cap seeing each other?" Rhodey asked, the idea having thrown him when he heard about the date.

"You mean you haven't noticed them giving each other moon eyes for the last two years?" Sam asked, almost laughing at the look on Rhodey's face.

"Really wasn't paying much attention," Rhodey said sheepishly, causing Sam to laugh. "But I guess as long as they're happy, doesn't really matter what we think."

"Guess not," Sam shrugged.

In the lab, Wanda was sitting by Bucky's Cryo-Chamber, holding her hands out as she touched the Chamber. She didn't even need to summon the red mist anymore to converse with Bucky.

Today, Wanda had conjured a beautiful grassy field. She smiled slightly as she saw Bucky looked around it with a hint of longing. But the smile faded from her lips as she realized he probably hadn't had time to enjoy a simple view like this since the day Hydra got their hands on him.

"It's so peaceful here," Bucky said softly, staring at the seemingly endless field.

"I know. It's from Sokovia," Wanda said and Bucky looked over at her. "It's a field that I used to go to when I was a little girl. After my parents…it was the one place I could go to whenever things got too much, when I just wanted to escape."

"I know how that feels," Bucky said wistfully. "For me, it was this hill in Central Park."

Wanda opened her mouth to respond when she paused, hearing something.

"What? What is it?" Bucky asked as he saw her face.

"Someone's coming."

Wanda's eyes opened and she removed her hand from the Chamber seconds before Steve walked in. He paused as he saw her sitting there.

"Wanda?" Steve asked in confusion.

"Hey Steve," Wanda said as she got to her feet.

"What are you doing in here?" Steve asked, bewildered by her presence in the med bay.

As Wanda scrambled to think of an excuse, Steve glanced over at Bucky, seeing how close Wanda was to the Chamber and he remembered Natasha and Sam bringing up that Wanda's behavior since returning to Earth.

"Have you been coming here a lot lately?" Steve asked and Wanda warred with herself before deciding to just be honest.

"After Thor brought us back here, I kept hearing voices. I thought I was losing my mind because no one else could hear them. Then when I heard them again as I was walking by the lab, I realized they weren't voices. They were dreams," Wanda explained and Steve caught on.

"You were picking up Bucky's thoughts," Steve realized and she nodded.

"I didn't plan on it, but his dreams broadcast so loudly that I couldn't shut them out. I walked in here and accidently projected myself into his dream," Wanda admitted. "I thought he'd be angry, I was going to leave but…he asked me stay. I can…take him away from his nightmares. I can't deprogram him, but I can give him some relief."

Steve stared at Wanda with an unreadable look on his face before glancing at the Cryo-Chamber. Wanda squirmed silently, thinking Steve was angry.

"If you don't want me to-"

"No," Steve cut her off. "I'm glad you can give him the comfort that I can't. He's not lived the best life."

"I know," Wanda said quietly, having gotten a brief glimpse.

"If you can give him comfort, who am I to deny that? Just…tell him that I won't give up until I find a way to free him," Steve said, finally moving is gaze from Bucky back to Wanda.

"He knows. But I'll tell him," Wanda promised.

Steve smiled weakly at her before exiting the room, leaving Wanda alone with the Cryo-Chamber. Wanda stared after him for a moment before turning back to the chamber, placing her hand on it and resuming what she had been doing moments before.

Asgard

Same time

Thor looked down at the ceremonial helmet in his hand, remembering the last time he had worn this. He had been an arrogant, spoiled brat. But he had learned much since then, he was a different man now. Now, he was ready to be the king that Asgard deserved. The ruler that the Nine Realms deserved.

"That helmet looks ridiculous."

"So it does," Thor acknowledged, turning around to look at Loki. "Another of your tricks Loki? I wish you'd come out of your room instead of using your projections."

Thor tossed the helmet to his brother who, to Thor's shock, caught it.

"I'm here," Loki said with a smile. "The guards are ridiculously easy to lose."

Thor chuckled as Loki tossed the helmet back at him, easily catching it.

"If it's not too presumptuous, I'd like to ask to escort you to the ceremony," Loki asked uncertainly, as though fearing Thor's rejection.

"Brother, it would be my honor," Thor said as he placed a hand on Loki's shoulder.

Loki smiled slightly and that was that. Thor donned his helmet before he and Loki walked through the large doors, entering the throne room.

In many ways, it was a replica of when he had done this the first time. The crowd applauded as he walked inside, not even taking notice of Loki's presence at first. Sif and the Warrior Three stiffened at the sight of him but Loki paid them no mind, merely escorting his brother to the throne.

Whereas before Thor had basked in the applause, now he paid it no mind. He and Loki reached the throne and Loki stepped back as his brother walked up to it. Thor regarded the throne for a moment before he turned around to face the Asgardians. Loki got down on his knees, bowing as Thor addressed them.

"We have had many tragic losses over the last few years. First the death of Queen Frigga, now the abdication of Odin Allfather. A new day is coming for Asgard, and change must come with it. So I, Thor Odinson, solemnly swear to cast aside all selfish ambition to humbly serve Asgard, the Nine Realms, and all the people that inhabit them as the new king."

All the Asgardians broke into applause as Thor took his first seat upon the throne. He was finally king. Now he had to be one that the Nine Realms deserved.

A filler chapter mostly to tie up some loose ends from the last few chapters, but I do hope you guys enjoyed it.
