Another by Zexoguy/Zexo87. Clyde's obsession with Lori may be long gone, but there still could've been an elaboration on when it was gone as well as Clyde feeling remorse for hating Bobby and wanting to be friends with him.
It was a warm summer day in Royal Woods, Michigan. The firstborn Loud sister, Lori Loud, was home from college for summer vacation and her boyfriend Bobby, along with his little sister Ronnie Anne, were visiting her at the Loud house. Although, Ronnie Anne was really there to hang out with Lori's brother, Lincoln, who was already spending time with his best friend Clyde. As soon as she met up with the two boys, she offered to play them both in the newest Muscle Fish game that she'd brought with her.
"That sounds awesome!" Lincoln exclaimed. "You ready to brawl, Clyde?"
"Actually, you guys start without me. I was kinda hoping to talk to Bobby and Lori about something," Clyde explained.
"Suit yourself," said Ronnie Anne. "Come on, Lame-o. I can't wait to smoke you again."
"We'll see who smokes who this time."
The two friends headed up to Lincoln's room while Clyde remained downstairs. There was something really important that he wanted to say to the teenage couple and this seemed like the perfect chance to say it. He approached them while they were making goo-goo eyes at each other at the kitchen table.
"Excuse me. Lori, Bobby, can I talk to you guys?" he said, getting their attention.
"Sure. What's up, Clydesdale?" asked Bobby in his usual friendly manner.
"Well, I just wanted to say that... I'm sorry for being so hostile towards you, Bobby. I was jealous of you for dating Lori, but I should've known better than to take my own insecurities out on you. You're a really nice guy and you don't deserve to have me hate you for no good reason. And Lori, I'm sorry that I didn't respect your relationship with Bobby. I was so obsessed with you that I couldn't see how happy you two were together. But I want you to know that I have officially moved on from my obsessive crush on you. No more nosebleeds, no more robot voice, no more passing out just from saying your name. I've been a real jerk to both of you and, once again, I'm really sorry."
Lori and Bobby were surprised by Clyde's apology. They both smiled at him. "It's okay, Clyde. You don't have to apologize," Lori assured him.
"What do you mean?" Clyde asked.
"We know you're a good guy, dude," said Bobby. "You're growing up, learning from your mistakes, just like everyone else does, including us. It's a part of life and you're doing a great job at it."
"So you're saying you forgive me?"
"Of course, buddy."
"And don't worry. I know you'll find someone out there for you eventually," said Lori. "Like I said before, you're a special guy and literally anyone would be lucky to be your crush."
"Gee, thanks, guys." Clyde felt a lot better knowing that Bobby and Lori both forgave him. In his mind, he thanked Dr. Lopez for giving him the confidence to confront them and apologize.
"Say, we were just about to go hang out at Dairyland. You wanna come with us?" Bobby offered. "Maybe you and I could get to know each other a little better. What do you think, babe?"
"Fine with me. What do you say, Clyde?" asked Lori.
"I'm in! Let's do it!" Clyde accepted.
As the three of them were heading out the door, something flew out of nowhere and hit Clyde right in the face. It was a basketball thrown by Lynn, the fifth oldest Loud sister. "Oops. Sorry, Clyde. I didn't see you there."
Once the boy laid eyes on the young athlete, his hands got sweaty and his face turned slightly red, and not just from the blunt force trauma. "Oh, uh, th-that's okay, Lynn. I've, uh... I-I've been catching balls with my face my whole life, so, y'know, kind of a pro at it." He tried to talk cool, but ended up falling backwards. This made Lynn chuckle at him as she gave him her hand to help him up.
Bobby and Lori noticed this whole exchange and became very intrigued. "Well, well, well. What have we here?" Bobby commented coyly.
"He's been acting like that a lot around her lately," Lori informed him. "Seems he really has moved on already."
"Well, it looks like he might find somebody even sooner than I thought. If he plays his cards right, that is."
And with that, the group of three headed out to Dairyland together, ready to spark a brand new friendship.
