Congrats to my very, very good friend Plumalchemyst for getting review 700, also it's a chapter everyone's been wanting... and like I warned... she is not rescued in this chapter... it's going to be a bumpy ride until she's rescued but it will be a pretty short ride honestly.
Chapter 67: Small One
It was the first day of work studies. And Sir Nighteye and Bubble Girl were explaining what they were doing.
They were observing a Yakuza .
"A small criminal organization called the Shie Hassaikai." Said Sir Nighteye taking out a picture of a man wearing a mask that resembled a plague doctor's mask "This is Kai Chisaki the leader.
"The Yakuza I thought they were quiet nowadays." Said Izuku.
"It's true but he's gathering forces for some reason. Word is that he got into contact with the League of Villains." Said Bubble Girl.
"League of Villains?" asked Izuku nervous.
"Oh right… you were kidnapped by them… sorry." Said Bubble Girl.
"However we haven't acquired evidence so we can't treat them like full villains yet." Said Sir Nighteye.
Izuku nodded.
"What the Nighteye Agency wants to find is full concrete evidence of criminal wrong doing." Said Sir Nighteye.
"Yes sir!" both Izuku and Mirio said.
And so the two went patrol. Izuku was nervous.
"You didn't do patrol when you were on your internship?" asked Togata.
"I didn't like my internship… it's really compilated." Sighed Izuku.
"Oh yeah you beat Stain." Said Mirio remembering.
"Yes and other things happened afterwards… I really don't want to talk about it." Said Izuku.
Togata nodded.
"Oh." He realized something, "You never told me your hero name."
"It's Artemis!" said Izuku.
"That's a magical girl mascot's name right?" asked Togata.
"Yeah, there's very few that wasn't overly cutesy, Artemis was my first choice even if it's a common hero name around the world… I was able to claim it…" said Izuku, "And I know I'm really cute but I didn't want it effect my name that much… I did have some backups thankfully."
"That's good! I'm Lemillion." Said Togata.
"Really?" asked Izuku.
"Yeah! It because of my goal to one day save a million people!" he said.
"That's an amazing goal." Said Izuku.
"Do you have a goal as a hero?" asked Togata.
Izuku nodded.
"To save as many people as I can with a smile to reassure them." Said Izuku, "Also to be official partners with Kacchan!"
"Is that one of you magical girl partners?" asked Togata .
Izuku nodded, "She was my first partner and since we were little kids we came up with ideas for starting our own agency." Said Izuku.
Togata smiled at that.
"Remember when we put on these costumes we become heroes!" said Togata.
As they counited on their patrol, they passwd by an alley way.
And that was when a little girl crashed into Izuku.
She had long white hair, red eyes and a small golden horn on her forehead.
What was more concerning was that she was wearing a beaten up hospital gown and covered in bandages.
"Are you okay?" he asked.
The girl looked terrified.
"Can you stand?" he asked .
"Shame on you for causing trouble for this nice hero." Said a voice.
Izuku looked up and saw it was Chisaki.
And he was trying his best not freak out.
"Forgive my daughter Eri. She rounds around a lot and she some time gets hurts." Said Chisaki.
Izuku was just quiet.
"Forgive Artemis… today's his first day and he's known for having bad luck so he's really nervous." Said Togata.
Izuku nodded.
"Yeah… my bad luck is really well known." Said Izuku.
"In fact a couple weeks ago he had a date that went so badly it was all over the place." Said Togata.
Izuku gave him a look. Togata gave an apologetic smile right back. After all it was clear that Chisaki didn't keep up with the news at all if he didn't recognize Izuku .
Togata and Chisaki were talking as Eri held onto Izuku.
"Come on we have to finish our rounds before lunch." Said Togata.
"Right!" said Izuku.
He tried to get up.
However Eri grabbed onto him tighter.
"Don't go…" she whimpered.
Izuku looked up at Chisaki.
"Your daughter seems scared." Said Izuku.
"Only because I have been scolding her." Said Chisaki.
"Artemis, stop acting suspiciously." Whispered Togata.
He looked at her…
'This girl… I need help her…" thought Izuku.
That was when he transformed into his animal surprising Eri.
"Oh no…" thought Izuku.
And of course the light emerged from his gem.
However as Eri was way too close to him the light quickly hit her before he could warn her.
"Oh no…" thought Izuku.
There was a bright flash of white light.
Eri's hospital gown transformed into a white and gold dress, the top was white with puffy gold sleeves, her skirt had a shirt layer of golden materiel and white skirt underneath with a trim at the bottom that was gold, on her feet were a pair of golden Mary jane shoes with white knee high socks underneath, on her hands were a pair of short white gloves, in her hair were gold streaks and on her forehead on the opposite side of her horn was a golden boy with the gem in the center of it.
"I am in so much trouble…" he thought, as his gem now included white in the array of colors.
"What did you do?" asked Chisaki becoming clearly angry.
"I'm so sorry! I didn't mean! IT just happened!" cried Izuku.
Eri wad looking as her dress as her arms in wonder, surprised at what just happened to her.
"IF she focus she turn her clothes back to normal." Said Izuku.
"Eri do so…" said Chisaki.
Eri coward and did so.
She noticed the necklace on her and quickly tucked in into her hospital gown without Chisaki noticing.
Izuku breathed a sigh of relief knowing that Chiaki thought it might be a one-time thing.
He also turned back to normal.
"I am so sorry my quirk gets away from me sometimes and I didn't mean to do that." Said Izuku.
"We need to talk more privately." Said Chisaki.
He adjusted his gloves and Eri's eyes widened in horror, she then ran to him.
"Please don't…" she whispered, "I'll go back."
"Are you done throwing your tantrum?" he asked.
Eri nodded.
They walked away, Izuku wanted to follow but Togata stopped him.
"Look don't follow him… you accidently used his quirk on his daughter but I get the feeling he won't care if it was accident." Said Togata.
Izuku shook.
"Besides doesn't that mean you have a telepathic bond now?" asked Mirio.
"I do…" said Izuku.
He realized that he might have a way to help her after all.
"IF she knows something…" said Mirio.
Izuku was surprised, he was uncomfortable but still.
"I do have to call Sir." Said Togata.
Izuku nodded.
And so they met up with Sir and Bubble Girl to tell them what happened as they met Chisaki.
Togata was the one who explained how they met and how it was an accident. However Sir Nighteye noticed Izuku's face.
"But there's a silver lining with new intel. He has a daughter." Said Togata.
"A daughter?" asked Sir Nighteye.
"And um… I accidently bonded with her…" said Izuku blushing.
"Why would you bond with her?" asked Sir Nighteye.
"It's rare but I think whenever I get the urge to help someone out of a situation in a way I just can't just rescue them from my quirk activate like that and tries to bond with someone… it only happened twice before." explained Izuku.
"So you have two partners because of this?" asked Togata surprised.
"No only one thankfully, Shoto was the partner, but I also nearly bonded with Mandalay's nephew, but thankfully one of my partners was there and prevented him from touching the light." Explained Izuku.
"So you had the feelings you had to help but knew you couldn't just take here away just yet." Said Sir Nighteye.
Izuku nodded.
"I see…" said Sir Nighteye.
"Wait what if he tries to take away what allows her to transform into magical girl?" asked Bubble Girl.
"Oh that will be fine." Said Izuku, "No one can steal the necklaces." Said Izuku, "I know because growing up other girls tried steal Kacchan's necklace way too many times I could count. It always formed a shield so no one could take it."
"Oh that's a relief." Said Bubble Girl.
Sir Nighteye sighed.
"I know I shouldn't be asking you have this…" sighed Sir Nighteye, "Is it possible for you use your bond to get information about him."
"I don't know…" said Izuku, "she was terrified… she wanted me to help her… she might give us some information on crimes…"
However that was when Izuku froze… it was felt like something broke inside of him.
"Midoriya?" asked Sir Nighteye.
Suddenly Izuku collapsed turning into his animal form as it happened.
"Midoriya !"all of them called out.
Meanwhile it was class at UA… every single one of Izuku's partners all froze .
"Is everything all right?" asked Cementoss notching their faces (except for Toru obviously).
"I don't know…" said Shoto.
"It feels like something really bad just happened." said Ochaco.
In the 3rd year Class room, Melissa got the same feeling.
In the teacher's office, Inko was talking to Toshinori and giggling.
They were both talking about Izuku's meeting the day before with Sir Nighteye. As Toshinori had talked to Sir Nighteye the night before.
"It's so sweet how those two hit it off." Said Inko .
"I know I haven't heard Mirai that happy in years." Said Toshinori.
That was when both of them felt the same bad feeling.
"Did you feel that?" asked Toshinori.
"I did." Said Inko.
Both of them knew it had to with Izuku.
Togata picked him up.
What they didn't notice was that the shifting colors didn't include white.
"We need to get him back to the agency." Said Sir Nighteye.
The other nodded and ran as fast as they could despite the fact that it started rain earlier.
As they ran towards the agency Izuku's gems started to shine brightly.
They stopped, thinking he was trying to bond with some unconsciously, but the shine stopped without the light appearing.
"What just happened…" said Togata.
"I don't know…" said Sir Nighteye.
Once again they didn't notice the change in the gem, as white was now back in the color rotation.
They counited to the agency unaware of what just happened… namely the answer to two questions that Izuku hoped he would never get answered…. And two questions and answers he wouldn't realize what they were for a few more days…
Next Time: Sir Nighteye tasks Izuku and all of his partner to see if they can find out anything and they quickly discover the truth that horrifies them. Not only that but Izuku keeps passing out and it starts to get worse... and when they find out the reason it's even worse than they thought... what will happen? Find out next time!
