Showing and Telling
Valerie was so excited about her new fairy form thanks to Bike. She told Daphne all about it and couldn't wait to show her but first before testing any limits she felt that the right thing to do before any of that happens is to explain to Head Mistress Faragonda about it. Its more in case she gets seen in the form and makes the Head Mistresses raise eyebrows. Althought when she use to teach at Walkerville Elementary back on Earth, she always managed to get away with anything magic without being seen. Those were the days when Valerie made her classes climb aboard the Magic School Bus and go on magical field trips just like what she does with Bike here at Alfea. She makes Bike shrink and become a pendant around her neck. So Bike can be with her at all times, this was going to be her device for transforming. Valerie arranges a time after dinner to speak with the Head Mistress, Griselda was present too looking stricked and stiff as usual. She quietly entered the office and gentley closed the door behind her.
"So it didn't work?" asked Daphne concernly, "No had a little lets say malfunction! I'm pretty use to those!" Valerie said feeling pretty down while holding her pendant and looking out the window. Daphne had waited for Valerie's room to keep Goldie company while Valerie was with the Head Mistress. Valerie knew she had a bit more tinkering to do with Bike "Don't worry Val, don't give up! Keep working on it and you will be fine! Daphne said cheerfully as she patted Valerie on the back. The encouragement from Daphne really lifted Valerie's spirits but she still felt a little imbarrassed. "I cannot wait to see your fairy form someday" Daphne told Valerie as she looked over her shoulder just before she left the room. Valerie smiled and wished the follow professor good night. Valerie sat on the bed and placed Goldie in her lap have had gone into Faragonda's office to explain in her away that she now has a fairy form and not able to show it really made her heart sink. Thankfully Faragonda was intrigued and couldn't wait to see the invention when its working. Griselda just rolled her eyes and remained with her arms folded. Faragonda did also say that Valerie's guests were welcome to stay as long as they like when they arrive "We have enough room for them should they wish to stay" the Head Mistress said which did make Valerie smile a little just before she was dismissed. Goldie snuggled into her lap as Valerie sat there with only a lamp on in the room "Oh Goldie! I am never going to give up on this!" she stands up disturbing Goldie's nap "Sorry Goldie! No time to snooze now!" Valerie said to the monkey. She grab hold of her pet ndanand whispered softly so Bike could hear "Bike do your stuff! Fairy Form!" and in less then 5 seconds she was in her fairy form. Goldie looked at her owner and admired how she looked by climbing on to Valerie's shoulder and nuzzling her "Oh Goldie! If only it worked when i was in the Head Mistresses office!" she said to Goldie.
Just then Valerie and Goldie heard a knock on the door "Who would that be at this late hour?" Valerie said concernly to Goldie. "Coming!" Valerie shouted as she walked towards the door while passing a mirror that caught her eye. Valerie stopped to pause before complementing herself before having to change back "Oh Valerie you are looking fairy-lish-ous!". "Hello?", "Hello? Are you still awake Professor?" the sound of the young female voice luckily distracted her from admiring herself as he happened to recognised the girls voice. It was Roxy! Valerie took one last look in the mirror and then turned to face Goldie "What do you think Goldie shall we shall her?" she gentley asked the monkey. Goldie nodded with approval. Valerie finally went to answer the door, she turned the knob and opened it slowly while hiding herself behind the door with only her had showing to Roxy. "Good Evening Roxy!" Valerie happily greeted the young girl, "Good Evening Professor! Sorry were you asleep?" asked Roxy, "Oh no...i've been...just working on a few lesson plans ha ha, infact do you have a minute i know its late but i would like to show you something i've been working on?" she then asks Roxy. Roxy agrees to come in and immediately says hello to Goldie who quickly comes up to her "Hi there Goldie, how have you been?" she says to Goldie who was now in her arms. She has yet made eye contact with Valerie who was standing a few metres behind her. She then thinks just to act casual and normal as Roxy oviously hasn't noticed her new form "So what brings you here at this late hour?" Valerie asks. "Sorry Professor i know its la..." Roxy turns around as she speaks while having Goldie now on her shoulder. Her jaw dropped to the floor as she remained speechless. "Ta Da!" Valerie happily expressed, "Your, your a fairy!" Roxy finally shouted "but how?". "Magic!" Valerie simply said with a proud smile and while stroking her pendant "I was going to wait till class to show you and the rest of the students but i couldn't wait!". Roxy was amazed and was full of questions and also excited "How do you transform?", "Do you have powers", "Can you fly?" and many more which Valerie was happy to answer although some of the questions she simply answered "I'm working on that". During the the questions Valerie had turned herself back. They chatted for a long time before Roxy realised that it was getting very late "Wow, 11pm i better hit the sack, maybe we can do some training together maybe if you have a moment tomorrow?" Roxy told the Professor. Valerie agreed as she let Roxy out of the room and waved goodbye. Valerie couldn't wait to begin her fairy training and to make sure that Head Mistress Faragonda gets to see her new form before her ex-students arrive in 2 days time. She commanded Bike to discend from being in the form of a pendant and it magically transported itself back to the shelter.
The next day came and Valerie luckily found some time to train with Roxy at Lake Roccaluce after the first day of classes. It was a warm evening and the pixies were all out having picincs around the lake along with some of the Alfea fairies. Bike had become a pendant again around Valerie's neck and Valerie on command whispered to it to become Fairy Frizzle! She had shown her classes early today her new form and they were all fansinated including know it all Clarice. However Clarice did make the remark that Valerie couldn't be a real fairy as she didn't have powers and couldn't fly. Valerie had simply told her in a calming why that she was working on that and that if she continued to behave like that she would be sent straight to Griselda. When the class asked Valerie how she managed to tranform into a fairy since she was human, she just simply told the class "Oh just little magic!" while her butterfly earrings lit up. Roxy transformed into her Enchantix form "Ok, Professor are you ready to have a go at flying?" she asked Valerie. The stand facing each other, Roxy tells Valerie to close her eyes and to feel and connect with her wings. "Hmmmmm connection!" Valerie mumbles. Roxy could see some flutter beginning to happen in the Professors wings as she continued to coach "Thats it, now think of yourself lifting into the air". Valerie still had her eyes closed and continued to mumble encouraging words to herself "Open your eyes Professor!" Roxy shouts. As Valerie excitedly begins to open her eyes, she sees Roxy still facing her smiling with her wings also fluttering "Look down Professor!" Roxy informs the Professor. "What?" Valerie answers has she slowly looks down "Hey...HEY I"M FLYING!" she shouts. "Ready to try yourself?" Roxy asks as she lets go of Valeries hands. Valerie at first was a little nervous (not often she gets nervous) but within seconds accepts to try flying by herself. "Follow me!" Roxy says as she flys over the lake "Ok, here i come!" Valerie shouted "Its just like being a bee or a butterfly!" she thought to herself as she flew over the lake too. Then she could hear something, like, like almost an applause! She looked down and noticed that everyone below as applauding her. Valerie blushed as she also noticed that Head Mistress Faragonda was also watching along with Daphne. It wasn't long until Daphne transformed into her Sirenix form (another type of fairy form) to also join Valerie and Roxy. "Well how does it feel?" Roxy asks as she flies beside her along with Daphine on Valerie's other side "Amazing, absolutey amazing!" Valerie happily told them "Just call me Fairy Frizzle!".
