Chapter 11

Quick Catch-Up Before Class

After everyone was introduced, a bell rang. Valerie's Ex-Students/Guests remained in the hall with Valerie, Head Mistress Faragonda & Griselda while the students and some of the other staff went to prepare for classes. There was still a bit of time before actual classes started, so Valerie thought it would be a great time to run through what was going to happen today and what to be aware off. Head Mistress Faragonda stood by to express her delight of having Phoebe, Keesha, DA and Wanda at her school and that her door is always open while Griselda explained the rules (even for adult visitors who were not students) in her stricted way. "We will leave you all to catch up, still got a couple of minutes before the workshops start!" informed Faragonda with a smile as she and Griselda leave the room.

"Workshops?" questioned Wanda "I thought we were going to help with your classes Professor Frizzle!", "Don't worry Keesha! You are, we just decided to call them workshops as it sounded better, it was to get the students more excited for today!" informed Valerie as all 5 of them went to sit at one of the long tables that the students were sitting at before. All the kitchen staff were busy clearing left over plates and cutlery that had been left on the students tables. "Don't they use magic to clear the tables?" asked Keesha, "Not everything is dealt with magic here Keesha, somethings they do here are still the same like back on Earth! Anyway...its so good to see you all!" Valerie says to the girls happily.

"Same to you, Professor Frizzle! We have missed you!" DA tells her old Professor, "I've missed you all too! and Phoebe! I haven't seen you since you left Walkerville Elementry to return to you old school! How have things been?" Valerie answered back. "I've been fine thank you Ms...ah Professor Frizzle, i am still getting my head around calling you that!" Phoebe says softly, "That's alright Phoebe! I'm presuming that Keesha, DA and Wanda told you why i decided to become a Professor?" Valerie questioned softly back. Phoebe smiled and nodded along with the rest of the group.

"So what's on the agenda today Professor? DA asked politely, Valerie pulled out a lesson plan and went through all her ideas for the day. There were 5 topics today as the day was a bit of a test/workshop day for the students too. As the 4 young adults examined the lesson plans there was one question they all wanted to ask. They all asked together in an excited and hopeful way to their old Professor "Will there be a Field Trip today?". Valerie smiled as her earrings lit up like they use too when Wanda, Keesha, DA and Phoebe were students right before a Field Trip was about to begin.

"Hey, speaking of which, where is The Magic Bike?" asked Wanda, Valerie kept smiling and stood up from the table shorty before she called out "Ohhhh BIIIIKKKKEEEE!" snapping her fingers in the process. The 4 girls looked around as if they were expecting something to happen. Valerie was excited to see that they remembered, it brought back memories of when Valerie (Ms Frizzle back then) use to use that call for the Magic School Bus only now she says "Bike" instead of "Bus". Just then an insect like object come flying through a window almost in the form of the large glowing christmas moth."Bike!" they all shouted jus as it landed on Valerie's chest to form a necklace infront of them "Wow cool!" they all shouted in amazement. Valerie giggled "Wait till you see what else Bike can do!" she happily stated.

She was just about to tell them about her new fairy form but suddenly another bell rings, "Oh dang! We need to go, meet me in the courtyard at recess, i've got something to show you all!" Valerie said happily as she got up from her seat while DA, Wanda, Keesha and Phoebe did the same. They followed Valerie to her classroom who was way ahead of them while observing their surrounding through the corridors of Alfea almost losing site of her "What do you suppose Professor Frizzle wants to show us?" Phoebe curiously whispered to Keesha, DA and Wanda, "Unsure Phoebs but i bet its something exciting and magical knowing our Professor Frizzle!" Keesha stated in hope.

They eventually find the Professor starting outside a door to a classroom now spotting a new dress covered with question marks along with matching earrings and shoes. "How did she do that?" Keesha yells, "Still the same Professor Frizzle! Wonder if this was what she wanted to show us originally?" asked DA, "No, no, no i bet you, she has another surprise waiting for us! Just you wait!" Wanda tells everyone using her initiative. Phoebe just nods with a hopeful and excited smile.

"Ladies, i'll enter first, then i'll introduce you!" Valerie tells the group as she proceeds to turn the doorknob. Valerie enters while DA, Keesha, Wanda and Phoebe take a deep breath shortly before they could hear a "Good Morning Class" and the students responding "Good Morning Professor Frizzle!". It was just like old times the four girls thought.

It wasn't long until Valerie asks them to come in. The Professor introduces each ex-student individually by name "Class, please welcome four of my lovely ex-students from when i taught at Elementary school back on Earth, Keesha, Wanda, Dorothy-Ann and Phoebe!", the class of fairies were all "Oooing and ahhhing" along with a few whispers. Valerie immediately spotted the girl who was whispering the loudest, "Clarice! Have you got something to share with the class!" she called out to the girl in blonde pigtails "Ah...No...Professor!" the girl said in responce. This made DA jump as she use to wear her blonde hair in pigtails too when Valerie taught her.

"Gee" Phoebe whispers with her hand covering her mouth to Keesha, DA and Wanda "Professor Frizzle seems more stricker then i remember!". "Rightio class! Today is going to be a little bit of the test day to see how much you remember and as you can see we are very lucky to have Keesha, Dorothy-Ann, Phoebe and Wanda here to help us!" Valerie formerly told the class as she made her way to the middle of the room where all the students desks were. The class groaned apart from Roxy who just smiled sweetly.

Authors Note: A Christmas Moth is a big moth usual found in Gippsland, Australia. Similar looks to a butterfly.
