Chapter 12
Ta-DA!
Finally it was lunch time and Valerie was super excited. It was finally time to show her ex-students her new transformation. Valerie was now spotting a dinosaur bone and prehistoric plantation printed dress (she had mysteriously changed it from her space dress between breakfast and her first class for the day). Keesha, Phoebe, DA and Wanda were exhausted from all the mini field trips they took with Valerie and the students in the space of 3 hours! Magically of course! "I think if i get transformed into something or shunk one more time i am doing to be sick!" Keesha stated, "Ha ha, you sound like Ralphie but how fun was it through to experience that again", "Yeah you weaselly wimp!" DA & Wanda commenting how it brought back fun memories from when they were students with Professor Frizzle, "True!" Keesha answered back.
Class was dismissed and all the students filed out of the room "See you all after lunch" Valerie happily told the class. "Well what do you think?" Valerie asked Keesha, Phoebe, Wanda and DA "I'm open to your honest opinions!", "Going on a magical field trip without the use of their magic must be hard!" DA addressed "I know but i wanted them to experience my field trips without the use of fairy magic while giving them the full learning experience!" Valerie added.
"Fair enough! Must admit i had missed your field trips Professor Frizzle!" Wanda says as she was squeezing mud out from her hair. One of the quick field trips they just took was to a prehistoric jungle and Wanda had slipped into a pile of mud. She got laughed at by Professor Frizzle's students which Professor Frizzle was not impressed with all but one girl who came to her aid. Keesha, DA and Phoebe also run to her aid. The girl introduced herself as Roxy and explained that she was from Earth too but a fairy.
They all left the classroom and headed to the courtyard with the Professor leading not saying a word. Keesha, DA, Phoebe and Wanda were following while observing their surroundings "This place is amazing!" Keesha comments to the other girls who also agreed with her. Valerie noticed Daphne standing beside the main door way. "Hello there Professor Daphhe!" Valerie kindly greeted "Have you met my ex-students?", Valerie introduced them all again individually.
Daphne smiled and introduced herself too. DA, Keesha, Wanda and Phoebe all examined the blonde professor all thinking she looked very young to be a professor. "Do not judge a book by its cover ladies!" Valerie pointed out, the girls were stunned! Valerie was up to her old tricks again, how did she know what they were thinking?. She was heading to the courtyard too "Mind if i tag along?" asked Daphne, "Of course the more the merrier!" Valerie excitably told her. Daphne smiled and began chattering with Valerie's guests, getting to know each girl. They were stunned to find that not only was she a Professor and a fairy herself but a crowned princess of a planet that they never knew existed!
They all found a bench to hang out on "Sorry everyone i forgot to ask if anyone was hungry?" Valerie asked the group. Everyone shook their heads and said they were not hungry, they were more interested on what Valerie wanted to show them "Hope we will get to see some fairy forms!" whispered DA to Keesha, Wanda and Phoebe. Valerie had heard "Oh you will!" she told them giggling mysteriously "Yikes! She defiantly hasn't changed!" Keesha said in a split second.
"Hi Everyone!" a voice called out, Keesha, DA, Phoebe & Wanda all noticed the purple haired girl with the paw print shirt who was in Valerie's class come towards them. "Is that the same girl from class earlier?" Wanda asked, Valerie had ignored Wanda's question "Roxy! How nice of you to come!" she shouted towards Roxy. Roxy smiled as she reintroduced herself. "Hi everyone!" Phoebe responded and got up "Its amazing to meet a fairy up and close, what kind of fairy are you?". Roxy giggled and told Phoebe that she was the fairy of animals. Phoebe, Keesha, Wanda and DA lit up in amazement.
"So what are you all doing out here?" Roxy questions as she looks more towards Valerie "Roxy you could've come at a better time! I was able to show them!" Valerie says to Roxy while giving her a wink with a slight twinkle in her eye. Roxy immediately knew what it was that she was going to show them, "So Professor Frizzle, what was it you wish to show us?" Wanda asked.
Valerie's earrings lit up "I thought you would never ask Wanda!" Valerie happily answered "Class...ah...ladies! Be ready to be amazed! This is a little project i've been working on!" she informs the group. Wanda, Keesha, DA & Phoebe couldn't help notice not only her earrings were lighting up like usual when something was about to happen but the pendant was lighting up too. Valerie went to hold the pendant in her hand and spoke a familiar but slightly different command "Bike do your stuff!" she shouted.
Soon there was a flash of green light "Ha? What's that?" Wanda asked worriedly, "It kinda looks familiar, Professor Frizzle are you ok?" DA shouts towards the professor. Little did they know everything was going to be fine. In seconds the light died down, everyone but Roxy and Daphne were covering their eyes due to almost being blinded by the light of Valerie's transformation "You can uncover your eyes now girls!" Valerie asked them using a kindly voice while Roxy and Daphne smiled with a thumbs up.
Eventually Keesha, DA, Wanda and Phoebe uncover their eyes slowly. "Ta-DA!" Valerie shouts and all they could do was gasp in shock and amazement in seeing their old elementry school teacher now a winged glittery fairy hovering in the air. They had seen Valerie in all kinds of forms before like in a form of a frillneck lizard, a bee, a racoon and even a sea anemone but nothing like this before "Profess, Professor Frizzle! Your a fairy!" Phoebe yelled excitedly. "Yep! That's correct Phoebe! I've managed to program Bike into turning myself into a fairy...to help blend in!" Valerie said while whispering the last part so others in the courtyard couldn't hear.
The questions began to roll in like "Can you really fly?", "Do you have magic?" and just as Valerie was about to happily answer their questions and tell them everything is a work in progress, suddenly there became a sudden chill in the air. "Do you feel that?" Daphne asks Roxy, "Yes i do!" Roxy answers, the sky turns dark and wind started to pick up. "This does not feel like an ordinary storm!" Roxy examines while looking up into the sky, "No it does not, Valerie, get yourself and your guests to get inside, so you all will be safe! Alert Head Mistress Faragonda! Something evil is arising!" Daphne shouts to Valerie.
Valerie, strugging to control her wings in the strong winds, agrees with Daphne and transforms herself back to normal. She takes a deep breath and knew she to follow Daphne's request and also keep her ex-students safe "Ladies, we need to do what Professor Daphne says and hurry, single file please!" she informed them. "But what about Roxy and Daphne and the other students who are out here?" asked Phoebe, "Don't worry Phoebe, they will be fine maybe you will get to see some more fairy forms after all!" she amazingly calmly tells the group as they quickly head inside. Then Valerie looks up into the sky and notices 3 figures "The Trix!" she whispers "The Trix? What's that?" Wanda asks, Valerie looks at Wanda seriously "They are 3 evil witches and something tells me that they are not here for a general visit...".
Valerie managed to get everyone inside in the nick of them before, she turns round to find the 3 evil witches standing a few meters behind her "So we meet again! How can a puny little human like you get wings!" a voice shouts out. It was Icy the leader of the group, "I heard that she doesn't have any magic!" the brunette girl shouted. "Oh is that so, thanks for the info Darcy!" Icy thanks Darcy, "Your welcome sister! Darcy responds.
You leave Professor Frizzle alone!" Roxy shouts, "Oh we are not here for your little professor! We are here for the Winx!" Icy informs. "They are not here!" Daphne shouts angerly, "Well that just will not do, we have a new spell that we wanted to show them but since they are not here we can show you! Stormy! Turn up the wind!" Icy shouts, "With pleasure sister!" Stormy answers.
It wasn't long until Stormy began to use magic as the winds began to pick up. Everyone from the school had come out and started to transform into their fairy forms. Faragonda and found out what was happening and informed everyone to defend the school!. "Who are the Winx?" DA asks Valerie, feeling an instinct that she had to help out Valerie tells Keesha, DA, Wanda and Phoebe to remain inside "Ahhh i'll explain later! Now please you all remain inside for safety! When evil arises, a battle begins!".
