(Scene fades to the next morning. King Chalcodon, Prince Gallus, Soranus, Cameo, and Khloe walk through the castle halls until they reach the tower room. The two guards stand at attention at the sight of them)
Soranus: Anything happen last night?
Guard #1: No, sir. Nobody came in or out.
Guard #2: Nothing at all. We were here all night.
Soranus: We'll see. Open it.
(Guard #2 nods and unlocks the door. The door opens and Soranus, Gallus, and the King look inside to see Ida standing in the room surrounded by towering piles of gold. Their eyes widen and everyone else gaps as Gallus grins at Ida)
Prince Gallus: (runs over to Ida, wraps his arms around her, and twirls her around as they laugh. They stop and look into each other's eyes lovingly) I knew you could do it.
King Chalcodon: My Gods! Amazing, incredible, phenomenal! Miss Ida, you've done it!
Cameo: Sweet mother of Zeus.
Khloe: Leaves me shook every time.
Soranus: Wha? Sh-she did it? But-but-but I-I… I… (faints as the guards rush to his aid)
(Ida and Gallus laugh before he falls to one knee)
Prince Gallus: Ida, will you be mine?
Ida: Yes, of course I will. On two conditions.
Prince Gallus: Whatever you want.
Ida: One, you ask my family for permission.
Prince Gallus: Of course. (turns to Cameo and Khloe, who smile and nod enthusiastically. He turns back to Ida) And two?
Ida: And two… I never have to see another spinning wheel ever again.
Prince Gallus: (laughs) You got it. (stands up straight. Ida then leans in and kisses Gallus full on the lips. They part and blush) Whoa.
Ida: (hushed) I can't believe I just did that. (grins)
Prince Gallus: (chuckles and pulls Ida close) I can.
King Chalcodon: Wonderful! We'll make the wedding arrangements at once! This is sure to be the celebration of the century!
Ida: Oh! (turns to the King) Before I forget, Your Majesty, there's something you should know.
King Chalcodon: And what's that, dear?
Ida: I suggest you take a look in Soranus' room. I think there's something in there that you just have to see.
Soranus: (sits up and regains consciousness) W-what?
(Scene cuts to Soranus' room. Everyone enters and Soranus is looking very anxious)
Soranus: I don't understand. What's all this about?
King Chalcodon: Hmmm, everything seems to be in order.
Ida: (glances in the direction of the curtain) Just a second, Your Majesty. You'll see. (walks over to the curtain and thrusts it open, revealing the hidden room of treasure. Everyone else gasps in shock)
King Chalcodon: (turns to Soranus) …After all these years, and it's been YOU. You werethe thief all along.
Soranus: (stutters incoherently, unable to find the correct words) Uh… taxi?
Ida: And that's not all, Your Majesty. What if I told you Soranus here was behind the Queen's death? AND that he's been planning on killing you and the Prince and using this money and more to take over the kingdom? (Soranus stares at her in shock while she gives a smug smile) …A little bird told me everything.
Soranus: You little witch! I ought to— (reaches out to grab Ida, but Gallus and Cameo quickly step in the way)
Cameo: Take one more step and you'll end up with a broken face!
Prince Gallus: I always knew you were trouble, Soranus. But I never would've expected this.
Khloe: None of us would have! You greedy, slimy, lying, no-good, flimflamming snake!
Soranus: Stay away from me! Back off, all of you! (to the King) Your Majesty, I can explain!
King Chalcodon: Not another word, Soranus. Guards, get him out of my sight.
(Scene cuts to outside the castle. Soranus is seen being dragged out by the guards as King Chalcodon, Prince Gallus, Ida, Cameo, and Khloe follow close behind)
King Chalcodon: Traitor! You've betrayed me and our people! I should've listened to Gallus when he told me his suspicions about you long ago! You, Soranus, are fired and banished from this land! I never want to see you again! You hear me?! And don't you dare show your face around here again! Understand?! If you do, you'll be immediately sent to the chopping block! Now GET OUT!
Soranus: Chalcodon, please! You can't do this to me! People adore me! You need me! (the guards take him outside the gates and throw him as hard and as far away as they can. He lands in a large mud puddle as everyone else laughs at him. He's now covered in mud)
King Chalcodon: OUT!
(Soranus grumbles something under his breath, then he picks himself back up and sulks away, never to be seen again)
King Chalcodon: (sighs) Well, that's over with. Now where were we? Ah, yes! (turns to Gallus and Ida) Send a proclamation throughout the land! Within a fortnight, we shall celebrate the wedding of my son, Prince Gallus, and his beautiful bride, Ida.
(Gallus and Ida smile at each other as they hold hands)
Prince Gallus: Now about that first date…
(Ida giggles)
(Scene cuts to the night two weeks later. Ida is seen wearing a beautiful white gown, a veil, and a golden tiara and watching fireworks explode in the sky from a castle balcony; she has a huge grin on her face. Gallus, who's wearing his own wedding garb, walks up to her)
Prince Gallus: Something wrong?
Ida: No. Every year when I was growing up, I used to watch these fireworks from afar. I knew what they meant: something special is happening at the palace. Now they're for me, for us. For our wedding.
Prince Gallus: It really is an amazing day.
Ida: I know. I still hardly believe it, though. (turns to Gallus) Are you sure this isn't just a dream? (smiles sheepishly at Gallus)
Prince Gallus: More like a dream come true. (smiles back at Ida) Cheesy, I know. But it's true, Princess Ida. (they lean in and share a passionate kiss)
(Scene cuts to the castle ballroom. Gallus and Ida enter together arm in arm as everyone applauds. Music starts playing and various couples are seen dancing)
King Chalcodon: My dear Ida, I am so thrilled to have you join our family.
Ida: Thank you, Chalcodon.
Khloe: I'm so happy for you and my granddaughter, Gallus. I'm sure you'll be very happy together.
Prince Gallus: Thank you, ma'am. I think so, too.
(The King and Khloe start dancing with one another before Cameo walks over to his daughter and holds her hands)
Cameo: Ida, sweetheart! This is fantastic! What did I tell you? I always knew you'd be a royal bride.
Ida: Dad! (blushes)
Cameo: You know I mean it. Come here. (hugs Ida and she hugs back) I love you so much.
Ida: I love you too, dad.
Cameo: Your mother would be so proud of you. (kisses her forehead) I know I am. (winks at Ida and walks off. Ida smiles)
Little man: (taps Ida's shoulder from behind) I'm proud of you, too. (smiles slyly)
Ida: (turns around and her eyes widen in surprise at the sight of the little man) It's you. (reluctantly starts dancing with him) What are you doing here?
Little man: I just wanted to give my congratulations… and make sure you were happy with your end of the bargain. Did you get everything you desire?
Ida: Yes, I did… and I guess I have you to thank for that.
Little man: (chuckles creepily) I wouldn't thank me just yet if I were you. You know you still owe me something, dearie.
Ida: Then what do you want? What's your price? Riches? My jewels? Name it; I'm sure we can work something out.
Little man: Oh, no, no, no. None of that. Keep your baubles; they're of little use to me. What I want is something you don't yet possess… but something I know you'll have.
Ida: (nervously) …And what's that?
Little man: Nothing. Just… (pulls her close and whispers in her ear) …your firstborn. (twirls Ida around and disappears into the crowd)
Ida: (gasps silently as she stands in shock) M-my firstborn? (wraps an arm around her abdomen) …What have I done?
