After knocking them into the Human Realm, King was looking at the destroyed door regretfully and tearfully but thankful that they're safe. "Goodbye."
King is suddenly pulled upwards to The Collector, causing him to yell out in fright. Up above, The Collector does a backflip while he is surrounded by stones and colourful ribbon like light trails. "I'M FREE!" They cried. "I'm free! Oh this is the goodest I've felt in forever and ever, it's like the whole world is singing!"
As The Collector speaks, meteors appear behind him and drop to the ground, causing them to explode.
He then grabbed King and spun him around, they then waved his hand, producing multiple stars. Down on the ground, multiple meteors shoot towards the ground and produces smoke and sparkles when it lands.
Down on the ground, a chaotic scene took place of people running around and screaming in terror. "The horror! The horror!"
"Yeah, I wouldn't call that… singing." King remarked.
"So, tell me about your game "The Owl House". They pleaded. "You promised you'll teach me if I stopped the Draining Spell!"
"Well, it's uh… like playing pretend." King began. "We get roles and go on adventures. But this is too crazy!" He gestures towards below. "We can't play if you are freaking everyone out!"
"King!"
The Collector and King looks towards the source of sound. Lilith was coming up carrying Hooty in his backpack, with Hooty acting as the Hootycopter. While Yunan was performing impressive parkour skills while following the two.
They then land somewhere below, with meteors landing all around them. "What are you doing up there?" Yunan asked.
"Who's the little monk?!" Yunan yelled.
"WHAT'S HAPPENING?!" Hooty cried.
Lilith narrowed her eyes sternly at The Collector. "I don't know what you are, but STAY AWAY FROM MY NEPHEW!" As Lilith almost finishes her sentence, she flies upwards with Hooty towards King and the Collector. While Yunan just held on to her leg in order to follow her.
"That's my BEST FRIEND you're talking to. Hands OFF!" The Collector demanded before he took out a crescent moon from his sleeve and flings it towards Lilith.
Lilith gasped at the incoming attack while Yunan looked ready to jump in front to protect her.
"LULU!" Hooty cried before he immediately stopped spinning and wrapped around Lilith and Yunan to protect them, so the crescent moon hits him instead. Consequently, Hooty got turned into a Jack-in-the-box like puppet.
Lilith sees this and gasps. "Hootsifer!" She cried as she fell.
"Ahh! Puppets! My second biggest phobia!" Yunan cried as she fell.
As the two start falling, another crescent moon immediately hits them in the forehead, turning them into puppets. The Collector then lifts up their hand, and the puppet Hooty, Yunan and Lilith disappear in a puff of smoke.
"You can't hurt people either!" King yelled angrily.
"But they're not hurt!" The Collector assured them. "They are safe and sound in our new house." As The Collector speaks, they point upwards towards a U-shaped castle building floating above, which is surrounded by rocks and ribbon-like light trails. King looks up at the building with a worried look on his face. "Now, what part do I get to play?" As he spoke, The Collector wraps their arms around King and pulls him closer. They then grin at King, while the baby Titan looks at them with a terrified expression.
A meteor shoots towards the ground and close to the dead body of Pacifica, whom was still resting peacefully on the Titan's nostril. But then, she suddenly gasped for air as she suddenly came back to life.
She panted as she looked around at her surroundings. She saw the shape of a nostril and gagged. "Ew. Can't believe I'm in a nostril." She lifted up her shirt to reveal that she had a packet of maroon ketchup taped to a book that was taped to her side. She removed it and stared at it impressed. "Can't believe this actually worked. I should apologise to Yunan for…." She looked up and saw the chaos that the Collector was causing and seemed shocked. She also saw the skull of the Titan being decimated thanks to the power of The Collector. She gave a saddened look since the door and Luz were up there which meant her way out and her ally were gone. "Oh no!" She sighed sadly. "I'm sorry Luz and Dipper. I couldn't stop the Day of Unity." She realised something. "Wait, if this is the Day of Unity then why are the witches alive? I gotta get a closer look." She pulled out a grappling hook from her pocket and began to abseil down the head.
Back with Eda and the other Coven Heads. Eda was still kneeling on her knees. She wrapped her only arm left around Raine, with their head resting on her knees.
Osran, Eberwolf, Adrien and all the other Coven Heads are lying nearby, still unconscious. The meteor lands in front of Eda, producing a large puff of smoke, stars, and sparkles.
Soon, Raine wakes up, and both them and her stare at each other lovingly. They notice Eda's missing right arm and becomes sad, reaching out their hand to touch it.
Both of them then turn their heads and look up, noticing The Collector grabbing onto King's arm as he does a backflip happily, producing more light trails and stars as he does so.
Eda and Raine then look at each other. They give Eda an approving nod and she smiles. Immediately, she activates her harpy mode and turns into harpy Eda in front of Raine, causing them to stare in admiration.
Eda then takes off, leaving Raine behind to check on the other Coven Heads whom were all starting to recover.
The Collector began looking all around him in amazement as he surrounds himself with meteors. Somewhere below, Kikimora climbs out of a hole in her Abomatron with a flash catches her attention. She looks up, and immediately becomes shocked at what chaos she was seeing.
She looked down and saw Pacifica abseiling down which made her look annoyed. "What?! How are you alive?!" She immediately became angry.
Pacifica looked up. "Book, ketchup and a device that stops my heart for a limited amount of time." She replied smugly. "What you gonna do about it?"
"Well, how about we stopped your heart permanently?" Kikimora suggested before she suddenly fell through the exit while still on her Abomatron.
The screaming demon screamed past Pacifica, who dodged the suit and continued to abseil down. She looked down at the demon and shrugged her shoulders. "If your offer still stands, I'd rather not."
A large star exploded in a bright flash, disappeared and then exploded again which sent a large wave filled with sparkles across the entire Boiling Isles.
Harpy Eda flew upwards towards King and The Collector, dodging meteors and rocks along the way. As she gets nearer to them, her beast form suddenly starts to take over, forcing her to land on a piece of rock nearby. She takes out a bottle of elixir, only to find it empty.
The Collector then comes over and presses his hand on Eda's bottle. "You look fun! Wanna play?" The Collector grins at Eda.
Upon seeing him up close, Eda's inner Owl Beast immediately takes over her and it screeched then pounced towards The Collector.
Back on the ground Raine could see what was going on and gasped. "Oh no."
Darius and Eberwolf looked up with the same amount of concern. "What's going on?" Darius asked.
"Why is Eda fighting the cosmic monk?" Eberwolf asked.
"I don't…." Darius then realised something. "…Wait, you could speak?!" Eberwolf didn't speak back leading Darius to be annoyed. "I can see why we didn't speak much during Hexside."
"Guys, we have to rescue Eda!" Raine said as they prepared their violin.
"Rescue her?!" Darius exclaimed. "Whispers, are you mad?! We are going to go against that!"
"I have to agree with the traitor here." Terra said. "We can't face them!"
"Traitor?!" Darius exclaimed in offence. "We tried to save you!"
Terra tried to fight back against the comment but relented. "Okay, you make a good point."
"But still, we're not going to face that!" Adrien argued.
"We have to try!" Raine protested. "I have to rescue Eda!" They jumped off the platform and began running towards the direction of the Collector.
"Whispers!" Darius cried. "Oh for Titan sakes, they're going to get themselves killed."
"Then we better hurry!" Osran of the Oracle Coven said before jumping off the platform with the other Coven Heads following.
Darius was reluctant at first but then shrugged his shoulders. "Okay, I guess I'm coming!" He summoned an Abomination slide that he slid down while Terra and Adrien were left behind, being reluctant.
"Are they kidding?!" Terra asked in anger.
"Well, might as well do something productive with my life!" Adrien exclaimed before sliding down Darius' slide.
Terra was about to argue but then sighed. "Alright fine. Guess I'm coming." She summoned a vine that she slid down.
Meanwhile, Raine was running straight towards the direction of where Eda was being taken by The Collector. They didn't know how they could stop the person they accidentally helped Belos gain but they had to do something to save their girlfriend even if they turn into a puppet.
They tapped their violin and licked their lips to whistle as loud as they could. They could see The Collector spinning King about but Eda was gone. They narrowed their eyes angrily at the cosmic kid, ready to take them down.
Then, all of a sudden, The Collector popped up in front of Raine with a smile on his face. "Hello! Wanna play?"
Raine narrowed their eyes at The Collector just as the other Coven Heads arrived and stopped in the kid's path.
Pacifica, whom had ran from the Titan skull to the location of the Heads, hid behind a rock to see how the confrontation will turn out.
"Oooooh! More players!" The Collector clapped. "My best friend, King was just explaining the Owl House. Do you wanna hear how you play it?"
"How do we handle this?" Darius asked Raine with a whisper.
"Look, this thing looks to be a kid." Raine said. "All I have to do is speak to their level."
"You don't have kids." Darius argued.
"I've had cousins." Raine said.
"Ooooh, sounds fun." The Collector had suddenly appeared in-between Raine and Darius. "Where do they live?"
Darius screamed while Raine gave The Collector a gentle smile. "Listen Collector, my name is Raine Whispers. I'm a very good friend of King can we talk?"
"Uh, talking's so boring!" The Collector groaned as they started to fly. "I wanna play. Hey, can I explain The Owl House? I'm only getting some portions of it but it sounds like a fun game. And after, can we play?"
Adrien laughed. "No! I will not play your game! You're turning everyone into puppets! Why would I wanna play with some spoiled, destructive, child with the powers of a god?! Ha! Only a suicidal maniac would play with you!"
The Collector narrowed his eyes at the disheveled Adrien while King covered his eyes. "You're not being nice!" The Collector said before throwing a moon crescent to his head, causing him to turn into a puppet.
The Coven Heads stared at him in fear while Pacifica hid behind the rock, shocked and scared of how much power this kid has.
The Collector chuckled. "More collections for my trophy room. Heck, I say he'll probably be better as a guard for the Owl Beast." He tossed Adrien into the castle.
The Coven Heads stared at what had happened to Adrien with fear. Even Terra Snapdragon of all people was afraid.
"I have to say that the new look is far more better." Darius said to try and break the tension.
The Collector zoomed to Raine's face. "Now, what did you want?"
Raine stuttered a bit. "Collector, I'm a friend of King." The Collector narrowed their eyes at Raine. "Not best friend! But like…..Uh….12th?"
"Am I number one?!" King gave The Collector a thumbs up, causing him to cheer.
"And all I want is to see the Owl Beast." Raine explained. "I know a lot about her and I could be able to help control her." They gave King a wink to give them assurance.
"And after you help deal with the Owl Beast, will you play with me?!" The Collector asked.
Raine shrugged their shoulders. "Yeah I will. But it might not be instantly."
"It will never happen." Said a voice that made Raine and Darius' blood boil. Odalia Blight forced her way through the Coven Heads.
Pacifica gagged. "Uh, her again. What is she planning?"
"Odalia, what are you doing?!" Darius exclaimed.
"Stopping you from ruining the Collector's playtime." Odalia replied before turning to the Collector. She took a knee. "Greetings Collector, my name is Odalia."
"Do you wanna play?" Collector asked.
"Well, unfortunately I don't play due to my age." Odalia replied.
"I thought it would have been because of that big ass." Pacifica mumbled.
"But, you can trust me Collector because I know what these Coven Heads are doing." Odalia said. "They want to take the Owl Beast from you."
"What?!" The Collector screamed angrily.
The Coven Heads backed off in fear and shock over Odalia's sudden want to be an ally to the Collector.
Raine stuttered in fear. "C-C-C-C-Collector…You….You….You don't believe her right? Come on, we're pals."
Odalia laughed. "The Collector shouldn't trust a friend, they should trust a mother figure. Because, who is going to take care of them once they're done having so much fun?"
The Collector pondered the suggestion. "Hmmmm…She is right. I need someone to make me and my best friend King some meals and clean up the palace when I've been too messy. Because I don't know how to cook and I don't like cleaning up my mess."
"Well my dear Collector, you have yourself a deal." Odalia said as she shook hands with the child from the stars.
King walked up to the Collector. "Collector…I don't know if Odalia can be…."
"My mind's made up." The Collector said as they aggressively approached the Coven Heads who began to back away in fear.
"Collector, you can't trust her!" Raine argued.
"You know what Whispers, he doesn't trust us!" Darius formed his hand into an axe. "We'll hold him off!"
Raine barged their way out of the Collector and before they could try and reach Eda, they were suddenly trapped by a bunch of vines.
"What?!" Raine reacted in shock.
The other Coven Heads try to attack the Collector, but one-by-one, The Collector turned them all into puppets.
Raine was horrified by the sight they were witnessing, their new allies and old allies had all Ben turned into puppets by a powerful child. Well, all except for one.
Terra grinned ear-to-ear at Raine. "Sorry sprout, but I'd like to try this deal thing. Hey Collector, the friend stealer is here."
The Collector narrowed their eyes at the terrified former head of the Bard Coven while King watched on, feeling helpless. Pacifica on the other hand was scared to deal with The Collector due to the fact that he seemed far too powerful to take on by herself.
"You are not nice, Whispers." The Collector said.
"Says the one who took my girlfriend in as their pet!" Raine retorted.
The Collector stamped his foot on the ground. "You want that beast?!" They threw a moon crescent on Raine's head, causing them to turn into a puppet. "You and the others will be guarding her!" They threw Raine and the other puppet Coven Heads into their palace.
Terra retracted her plants back underground and smiled at the annoyed Collector. "Well Collector, what might I be of service of? I, Terra Snapdragon, could possibly play with you if you like."
The Collector's anger quickly vanished and it turned into a smile. "Yes Terra, that would be nice. Now, who wants to go to the palace? Mama Odalia, do you cook?"
Odalia cringed. "Well…I could try pizza bagels."
The Collector grinned as he threw a flying star on the ground. "Oooh! Sounds delicious!" The Collector, Terra, Odalia and a reluctant King jumped on the shooting star. "Now! To the palace!" The Collector declared proudly before the star took off.
While on the way back to the palace, King was looking down on the ground with sadness plastered all over his face. He regretted what he had done but in hindsight, it was kind of better than being killed.
"I'm going to miss you Luz." King said sadly.
Back on the ground, Pacifica had just walked out of the rock was looking up, feeling intimidated by the childlike god. Sure she had faced Bill Cipher but The Collector was another story. He was a spoiled child with the powers of a god.
She knew this was bad and that it could only get worse. She had to find a way to stop this kid and fast. But first, she needed somewhere to hold up. So, she began to run straight into Bonesborough.
She ran for who knows how long. She wasn't exactly counting at all. She could have ran for minutes, hours even but she knew she had to get Bonesborough to find some help.
But help was never going to come. She hid behind a few trash cans as she saw many residents of Bonesborough being abducted by the Collector's soldiers of laughing stars and dark half moon and suns.
The residents that were abducted included Gilbert Park, Tinella Nosa as well as Morton. Pacifica couldn't do anything to save them, fearing she herself would be turned into a puppet. She was now starting to regret faking her death.
"Why did I leave the heart stopper on for 10 minutes?" Pacifica asked herself in annoyance.
She began to run to a crate but when she made it, she accidentally knocked over a box. Which caught the attention of one of the Collector's spies which quickly flew over to where she was. But when it got there, she wasn't there anymore.
It then flew away to find some more toys for The Collector to play with. Once that thing was gone, Pacifica suddenly appeared thanks to an invisible glyph.
But the funny thing was, she didn't know who had wrapped their arm around her and told her to hold her breath. She looked up at who saved her who turned out to be Alador Blight, still alive.
"Mr Blight?" Pacifica reacted in shock.
"Had to use a lot of invisibility glyphs to hide from those things." He explained. "Come on. I know a safe place."
He lead Pacifica toward a small cave underneath the Blight manor which she was rather unimpressed by. "A small cave?" She scoffed. "You want us to get caught?"
"No." Alador replied. "This is a shortcut." He pushed an out of place rock to reveal secret door that he walked through with Pacifica following. He grabbed a nearby torch from the wall that was lit for whatever strange reason and just shrugged his shoulders.
He lead her up a spiral staircase which lead to a hatch attached to the ceiling. He span the door knob revealing what appeared to be some kind of bunker that appeared to reside in the basement.
Once him and Pacifica climbed up the ladder and into the bunker, he closed the door and locked it tight.
Pacifica looked around the small bunker with intrigue. There were shelves filled with tinned meat, griffin eggs being kept fresh by a warm light, bottles of apple blood, canisters of water, amongst miscellaneous items. Plus, there were board games which included Snakes and Killer Ladders, Twist, Tangled Up, Who's Who and Mocknopoly.
"Is this a bunker?" Pacifica asked.
"My wife requested that I prepare this in case of an apocalyptic situation." Alador replied. "Which is now."
"Don't you mean ex wife?" Pacifica asked.
"Not official due to there not being a trial." Alador replied. "Plus my lawyer's been turned into a puppet."
"Oh and speaking of your ex wife, she manipulated her way into being the Collector's mama." Pacifica said.
Alador sighed. "Of course. She was a suck up to a genocidal maniac and now she is the suck up to a spoilt brat with the powers of a god. By the way, what's with the red on your shirt? Is that blood or ketchup?"
"Ketchup." Pacifica replied. "Really maroon ketchup. I used it to fake my death and stopped my heart so I can get the jump on Belos. But…He threw my lifeless body on to the Titan's nostril."
"What about my daughter?" He asked. "She and the others were heading there to save you and Luz. Where are they?"
Pacifica didn't know what happened to Luz, Amity, Sasha, Grime, Gus, Hunter, Marcy or Willow but she was fearing that it could be the worst. She gave Alador a saddened look.
"The skull was being destroyed." Pacifica replied. "I'm sorry. But I think they might be dead."
Alador appeared to be heartbroken. His daughter was most likely dead and he wasn't there to save her. Tears began to fall from his eyes as he turned to not look at Pacifica.
"My daughter didn't deserve this." Alador said sadly. "I felt we were just fixing things." He began to walk up the stairs and stopped midway to look at her. "Oh, by the way, I'm cooking dinner. I have made an extensive list of things that humans can digest here so you don't have to throw up after consumption." He continued to walk up the stairs while Pacifica stayed behind.
She decided to give Alador some space as he mourned the supposed loss of his daughter while she was grieving for something else. She thought back to Hunter, he surrogate little brother and the fact that the door to the Human Realm was destroyed which meant she'll never see her boyfriend again if that's the case.
Plus, they might have no idea what happened to them or if they'll ever get back. Or, they could be waiting for them to get back without knowing what happened to them.
The mere thought of her friends and real family in the Human Realm made her sob as she thought back to Mabel, Wendy, Soos, Stan and Ford. She soon dropped to her knees and began to cry.
Meanwhile in The Collector's palace, King was now dressed in a new outfit similar to The Collector's at the behest of them since to him, he looked naked. He walked down the corridor as he looked at himself in the mirror.
He was disgusted by the outfit. "Uh. I look too adorable." He then noticed the huge ginormous crack on his skull and touched it. He cringed at how much it hurt. "Ah!"
He then heard the sound of a growl, a familiar growl coming from a prison made specifically for the Owl Beast AKA her mother, Eda.
He ran towards the prison which was being guarded by the puppets of the Coven Heads which was just being set up by Odalia and Terra.
"No!" Odalia yelled to Terra. "Darius should be next to Raine!"
"I feel Darius should be on their right." Terra said. "Makes them taller."
"I can't believe The Collector wants these mindless puppets to watch them." Odalia said. "I mean, what are they going to do to the Owl Beast? Marionette dance it to death." Then puppet Raine performed a spell that made Odalia slap herself. "Okay, I can see."
King approached the two. "Hey, what's going on in here?"
"Our dear Collector's trying to control the Owl Beast." Odalia replied. "But unfortunately they aren't doing so well. I think there's the chance he might destroy her."
King gasped. "What?!"
"It probably is for the best sprout." Terra said. "I mean, she has been a thorn in my side for years. Her and her lover. I think The Collector is intending to destroy her."
King gasped. "No! No! I can't let her die!" King ran into the cell made specifically for The Owl Beast, fearing for his mother.
He had just lost a lot of people today. His surrogate sister has been blown into the Human Realm while his aunt was turned into a puppet, he couldn't lose his mom.
Inside the cell, The Collector was trying to shoot the Owl Beast with moon crescents but it only kept avoiding it.
"You're being difficult!" The Collector yelled in frustration. He threw some more crescent moons that Owl Beast dodged. "Why won't you play with me?! Uh! Maybe I need to convince them harder!" He summoned the puppets of Lilith and Yunan and threw them on the ground. "Oh Owl Beast! Look what I got!"
The Owl Beast poked their head out of a rock and saw the puppet version of Yunan and Lilith. At the sight of puppet Lilith, it just growled and narrowed its eyes at them.
"What? You don't want to play with them, you animal?" The Collector asked in annoyance. "I mean, just chew on them!"
"Eda!" The voice of King cried.
"King!" The Collector cheered loud and proud. "Oh! Can you help me control the Owl Beast? I want her to be a part of my game!"
When they heard the voice of their son, the Owl Beast began charging towards them. "Mom!" King cried as he ran up to the Owl Beast.
"King! I don't want it to hurt you!" The Collector cried in distress.
But instead of attacking, the Owl Beast just stopped at the sight of King. Though it appeared it wanted to attack King, it didn't for whatever reason.
"Eda!" King cried. "Are you still in there?"
"Eda?" The Collector asked. "Is Eda in the Owl Beast's tummy? Do you want me to get her out?" The Collector was about blast Eda but then King grabbed his mother's face and began to hug it.
"No! Don't destroy them please!" King pleaded. "Please Collector! They're not dangerous!"
"They tried to attack me and they don't want to play with me." The Collector said in disappointment.
"No Collector, I can't let you hurt her!" King pleaded. "This thing….This thing is my mom!"
"Your mom?!" The Collector laughed. "That's no Titan!"
"I know but she adopted me!" King said.
"Well, it tried to hurt me so…I think I might have to destroy it so, back-off please." The Collector requested.
"What?"
"Don't worry, it will be quick and painless." The Collector assured his newfound best friend. "I'll just give her one shot and she'll…" The Collector stopped talking when he heard King sobbing. "Huh?" The Collector stared at his best friend, whom was crying as he held on to the Owl Beast, who still wouldn't attack the baby Titan. "What's wrong? Why are you crying?"
"Because…Because…You want to kill my mom." King replied. "I know she's stuck in Owl Beast form and she might never escape it, but I can't have her die on me Collector! Please don't kill her!"
"Why?" The Collector asked. "What happens if I do?"
King then came up with a brilliant excuse and reason as to why The Collector couldn't kill Eda. "Because if you do, we will not be friends."
The Collector gasped. "For how long?"
"Never again! I will never be your friend!" King cried.
"What?!" The Collector gasped, horrified. "No! No! I don't want to lose you!"
"We'll make up your mind, Collector!" King demanded. "Keep me as a friend or lose me forever!"
The Collector panicked. "Okay! Okay! Okay! I won't kill her!" The Collector flew to King and picked him up. "If it makes you not hate me or not lose you as a best friend, then I'll let her live. But we do need an Owl Lady for our game."
"Terra! We have Terra." King said.
"Yeah. She's old." The Collector said. "We just need her to have grey hair but I think she can find that for herself. Now we just need someone to keep an eye on her. Maybe Mama Odalia could help."
King tried to think of a way to have someone, anyone else but Odalia to watch Eda. He then looked to Lilith and Yunan and instantly came up with an idea.
"Hey Collector, you can reverse the puppet spell, right?" King asked.
"Oh yeah." The Collector replied.
"You see those two toys over there?" King asked. "They know how to handle her."
"They do?" The Collector reacted in surprise.
"Yes. But whatever you do, no matter how they react, don't turn them back into puppets." King requested.
The Collector thought about his decision before shrugging his shoulders. "Okay." The Collector snapped their fingers and turned Lilith and Yunan back into their physical forms.
Once they were back, they began to pant to try and catch their breaths. "Ahhh!" Yunan screamed. She looked up and saw The Collector. "Ahhhhh!" She looked to the right and saw the Owl Beast before panicking. "Ahhhhh!"
"What's going on?!" Lilith asked as she tried to catch her breath. She looked up and saw The Collector and narrowed her eyes at them. "What have you done with my nephew?! Did you give him that broken skull you beast?!"
"Okay! Okay!" The Collector said, trying to defuse her anger. "I might have turned you into puppets…."
"Might have?!" Yunan exclaimed. "You just recreated my third biggest phobia! Being turned into a puppet!" She activated her wrist blades. "I could slice you to pieces you meddling monk!"
"You sure you don't want me to turn this one back into a puppet?" Collector asked.
"Listen Lilith and Yunan, as the Collector's best friend he demands you keep guard of this ferocious beast!" King demanded like he was their ruler.
Lilith gasped. "King! How dare you speak to your mother like that!"
"That's Eda?!" Yunan exclaimed in shock.
"Don't you dare defy The Collector!" King demanded. "He is not merciful!" He gave the two a wink which was a signal to play along, he had a plan.
Lilith was the first to figure it out and she got to her knee. "Oh great and mighty King, I shall do The Collector's bidding and take care of this wretched beast!" The Owl Beast growled at the insult with Yunan growling back at her as a response. Lilith gave the newt General a stern look. "Yunan! Don't you dare defy our Collector!"
Yunan got down on her knee and bowed. "Oh great Collector, leave us to defeat this wretched beast so it won't interrupt….Whatever it is you do!"
The Collector smiled. "That's more like it! Now do your best to take care of this beast so that way I can play with her when you're done. Okay, thanks byyeeeeeee!" The Collector and King vanished to have a bit of fun.
Once they left Lilith and Yunan stood back up in a state of confusion. "Uh…What was that?"
"I don't know, but we have a bigger problem." Lilith replied.
Lilith turned to face her sister, whom was looking rather hungry while staring at Yunan. Lilith knew what this meant and reached into her handbag to pull out an elixir.
"Edalyn…." Lilith said to her feral sister like she was a savage pet. "…Sit."
The Owl Beast just snarled while Yunan activated her wrist blades. "I distract, you feed?" Yunan asked.
Lilith turned into harpy mode. "You read my mind!" The two began to charge towards the Owl Beast, who began charging as well.
Meanwhile on the ground, Pacifica and Alador were both eating a sandwich filled with either griffin eggs or peanut butter as a dinner since Alador wanted to eat everything they had in the fridge and cupboard before moving on to all the food they had in the bunker.
Pacifica was feasting on a p&j sandwich, something that surprised her. "So wait, you guys don't have bananas yet you have peanut butter?"
"You also have peanut butter in your world?" Alador remarked in surprise. "I mean, what else is there that you have? Peanut juice?"
"Eww!"
"You don't have that?" Alador asked.
"Why would we? That is disgusting!"
Alador looked embarrassed by the question. "I should really stop asking questions about the Human Realm to the Owl Lady."
"She really doesn't sound like a reliable source." Pacifica said. "Do you know how to build a door to the Human Realm?"
"No." Alador replied. "Even if I had a Titan's blood I wouldn't be able to figure out how the door works. I can build a door, sure. But a door from point A to B would probably take a lot of research and time." He munched on his sandwich as he looked at the family portrait above the fireplace. He narrowed his eyes at it before firing an Abomination at his wife's face. He then got sad when he saw the picture of his daughter, whom he sure was dead.
Pacifica could figure out what the man was sad about and gave him a sympathetic look. "I'm really sorry, Alador. I would have saved her if I had the chance."
"You seem like the kind of person that would." Alador remarked.
"What was it like when you first had Amity?" Pacifica asked. "If you don't mind me asking."
"I won't mind talking about my daughter." Alador said. "Would make me feel better. When Amity was born, I was really happy to have her as a child. Plus, my other kids Edric and Emira were happy to have someone else to torment besides me and Mom. When she was young, she used to get cold hands all the time. Even when the weather was hot, her hands would somehow get cold all the time which was why we gave her the nickname of Mittens."
Pacifica chuckled. "That's a really cute nickname."
Alador then appeared saddened. "I just regret not leaving my wife when I had the chance. I want to fix things with my kids. I can probably fix things with the twins, but I'll never get the chance to fix things with my daughter."
The human woman could see the sad irony in this. She saw how similar she and Amity were when she told her about her life. But seeing one of the parents, the dad especially, feeling some kind of regret, was surreal yet sad.
"I'm so sorry Mr Blight." Pacifica said.
"You don't need to apologise for that kid's actions." Alador assured her. "I just hope he gets a good punishment from his cosmic parents if they exist."
"If not them, then me." Pacifica said. "Or maybe the Boonchuys. They seem rather strict. Especially the mother."
"What's your life on Earth like?" Alador asked. "You must have a family that adore you."
Pacifica smiled. "My family….Is not exactly biological. They took me in after my dad got locked away and my Mom abandoned me for someone richer."
"You were a rich?" Alador remarked.
"Yeah, I was." Pacifica replied. "My dad wanted me to be some kind of perfect daughter. All rich and all style. They told me what to wear, how to look and what friends to have."
Alador have a look of guilt. "That sounds familiar. What were they, inventors?"
"Nah, my dad was part of the mudflap business."
Alador seemed befuddled by the name. "Mudflaps?"
"Yes."
"As in mud that flaps?"
"No, it's those little flaps that are on most vehicles like hummers." Pacifica explained to Alador who nodded his head yet seemed still confused as well. "And because of my parents influence, I became mean and shallow. It was more of a coping mechanism since I was unhappy and depressed. Even when people were doing their best to be friendly, I shot them down like they were nothing."
Alador looked angry and saddened by Pacifica's story. He gave a sympathetic sigh. "Your new family. What are they like?"
"Chaotic." Pacifica replied. "Very chaotic. I was still stuck in that life for a while. While I was in it, I met an amazing dork. At first, I disregarded him, thinking he was lower class trash. But then, because of some random chain of events, I fell in love with him." Alador gave her a small smile. "And to think, a rich heiress like me, falling for some lower class dork like Dipper Pines. Who's all mysteries and aliens. Yeah, I fell in love with that idiot."
"That reminds me of how my daughter fell in love with Luz." Alador remarked. "Like, it's eerily similar."
Pacifica thought about her story and realised the same conclusion. "Yeah. It does sound similar. Very eerie. We eventually got together one night. Which, strangely enough wasn't because of some random mystery or life threatening situation. It was a rare peaceful night." But the more Pacifica began to reminisce about her boyfriend, the more tears that began to fall from her face. "We had all our little dates, I was his date to prom and we were the best Sumerween couple's costume many years running. He was always great to me. Yeah, there was the odd fight. But, he was usually honest, he was brave, he was loving and he really supported me after I came out. I don't know what he'll do if he finds out I'm trapped here with no way of going back." She already began sobbing her eyes out over the possibility of never seeing her boyfriend again.
Soon that sobbing turned into crying and she had her hands on her face. Alador could only watch as he felt helpless about Pacifica's situation and wished he could do something about it.
Instead, he approached her and gently wrapped her in a hug. The human woman was at first surprised by the affection from Alador but she returned it.
"Did you want a hug?" Alador asked. "Sorry if this is making you uncomfortable."
"No, it's okay." Pacifica assured him as she hugged him harder.
"I honestly had no idea what to do." Alador said. "I thought it might comfort you."
"I needed it." Pacifica said. "You know, if you weren't with that wife, then I think you would have been an amazing dad to your kids."
Alador smiled at Pacifica's comment. "Yeah. I hope I get that chance again." He looked to the portrait of his supposedly deceased daughter and gave it a determined look. "I will be a better dad."
After dinner, Pacifica really needed to sleep. Luckily, she had managed to find a pair of Odalia's pyjamas that fit. Well, it was more of a nightdress which made her feel like she was rich again.
Alador lead Pacifica to one of the twin's bedrooms, which was Amity's. "Now, I would let you use the master bedroom or the twins….But since my daughter is dead…I'll just let you use that. Look, you don't need to if you-"
"It's fine Mr Blight." Pacifica assured him. "Thank you. I think I'll settle in fine. What about you? You need sleep ya know."
"Not without knowing what happened with my children." Alador replied. "I can't rest until I find Edric and Emira. All you need to worry about is yourself. You've been through a lot today."
"So have you." Pacifica said.
"I just need a little hope that my family isn't all gone." Alador said. "If you need to go out then take the entrance to the bunker. If we take the front then there's a chance that they'll notice us. Oh and keep all the curtains shut and go easy on the food."
"You're saying it like we're never going to see each other again." Pacifica remarked.
"Well, I'm laying some ground rules." Alador replied. "I don't know how long this will go on for but we need to survive. So keep your sights."
"Got it." Pacifica got into Amity's bed and managed to make herself comfortable. "Night Alador."
"Goodnight, Pacifica." Alador responded before closing the door. "I'll be back."
Inside the bedroom, Pacifica struggled to get to sleep due to thinking of all the horrors she'll have to face. Besides surviving on limited food, there was the Collector and their spies as well as Odalia and Terra Snapdragon. But at least Alador will be by her side.
Then, Pacifica thought of everyone in the Human Realm, including her boyfriend, which made her sad and worried that she'll never see him again.
Meanwhile, King stood on the edge of the Collector's palace staring at the 'improved' Boiling Isles which was in a chaotic mess with people being snatched by the Collector's spies. He looked scared and worried for what the future could be or how long he'll be the Collector's prisoner.
He looked to the distant which seemed like an unsure future for him. "I wish you were here Luz. But I'm glad you're safe." He patted on the band aid that was stuck to his broken skull before walking back inside the palace to get some needed sleep.
