'Chicken, check. Onions, check…' Mentally noting down all the ingredients he's acquired, Emiya Shirou with a bag full of groceries in one hand and his old notebook with different recipes in the other, leaves the convenience store with just enough time to make it to Ai's apartment if he rushed it, so he pocketed his notebook and began walking.
But before he could even walk 10 meters, he was stopped by a person he did not expect to see here of all places.
"Yo, Emiya, surprise seeing you here." A man wearing a white jacket with a black shirt and blue jeans stood in front of him, blocking his path with a casual smirk, his bluish-gray eyes looked straight at him with mock surprise, as he ran a hand through his curly blue seaweed-like hair.
"Shinji," Matou Shinji, old master of Rider and someone he didn't expect to meet here, but he would have been fine if he didn't. "What are you doing here?"
"I live nearby, but I could ask you the same thing," Shinji casually replied his corky attitude the same as always. "Last I remember, you and Tohsaka traveled all the way to London after we graduated, so what are you doing here in Tokyo?"
"I'm visiting an old friend." Shirou kept it short as he tried walking past Shinji.
"Hold up, what's the rush," But he was stopped by Shinji holding onto his arm, his smirk a bit more strained. "Aren't you gonna stay, say hello to an old classmate, and catch up?"
A sigh escaped Shirou's mouth as he finally gave Shinji his attention, even if his voice became more cold. "What is it you want Shinji?"
"Quite the hostility there Emiya, can't old friends just talk?" Shinji put his arm around Shirou's shoulder, a small amount of sweat accumulating on his face.
"Sorry, but I have someplace I need to be, and besides," Shirou pulled Shinji's hand off of him, giving him a quick glare making Shinji freeze for a second as Shirou began walking away. "You know why I don't want to talk to you."
"W-wait," But even then, Shinji still called out to Shirou with a small amount of desperation in his voice, yet Shirou didn't stop moving, more or less ignoring Shinji's calls to stop, but Shinji wasn't backing down and ran up to him and grabbed him by the shoulder, forcing him to stop walking or risk falling backward. "Please Emiya, just wait a little."
"Shinji, let go of my shoulder," Shirou looked over his shoulder at Shinji, his voice neutral even when Shinji didn't meet his eyes, looking down towards the ground as none of them moved for almost a minute as Shirou gave him a chance to say something, but in the end Shirou just let out a sigh as he tried to leave again when Shinji stayed quiet. "If you are just trying to waste my time, I'm just gonna go."
Shinji stood still and watched as Shirou freed himself from his grip with relative ease as he didn't fight against it, watching as Shirou disappeared among the crowd of people passing by, a sigh escaping his lips as he picked up his phone from his pocket and dialed up a specific number, waiting for the person on the other side to pick it up.
"Hey, it's me," When the person finally picked the call up and asked who it was, Shinji replied calmly and let out an annoyed huff. "Guess who I just stumbled into on my way to the set?"
"Yeah, Shirou's in Tokyo," Shinji began walking away from the spot he stood at, making his way towards the subway. "He's visiting someone."
A Sigh escaped Shinji's lips. "No, I don't know who it is, he wasn't that interested in talking with me."
"Hey, I tried being nice!" His voice became a bit louder before he cringed a bit at his outburst. "Sorry, but I tried and he wasn't interested, there's nothing I can do about that."
"Right, uh huh, no, maybe I don't know," Shinji walked up to the platform the train he needed to take would arrive at. "I don't know why he didn't call you, maybe he thought of surprising you, but talk to you later, cya Sakura."
"Hope she's okay with me being 20 minutes late," Shirou muttered to himself as he was walking up the stairs of the apartment complex Ai lived at, looking at the note he got from her detailing her address.
His mood was not in the best of places after running into Shinji. 'He may have changed, but that doesn't undo what he put Sakura through, I just can't forgive him for that, even if she already has.' Or he just couldn't forgive himself for letting it happen right under his nose.
A Sigh escaped his mouth as he continued walking up the stairs, getting closer to Ai's apartment, his mood becoming a bit better at the thought of meeting the kids for the first time, even if he still was a bit nervous at the thought. "Hope they'll like what I'm going to ma-"
"Ai!"
"Huh?" Shirou stilled as he heard the scream, he could hear the sheer panic coming from it, but there was also another detail he noted from the scream, the name. "Shit!"
His body moved before his mind had even fully processed everything, the bag of groceries forgotten as it was dropped in an instant, all its contents spilling out of it and falling down the stairs making a mess in the process, but Shirou didn't care as he reinforced his legs to move faster up the stairs, more or less skipping all the steps and arriving at the final floor were he heard shouting at the end of the corridor, and the first thing he noticed when he turned his eyes was the blood by an open door, his heart dropping at the sight as he fears the worst
Wasting no time he rushed forward and when he got closer to the door, he could begin to hear the voices coming from the entrance, one he didn't recognize at all and one he did, Ai's voice. "-I still got it displayed in my living Room."
When Shirou finally arrived at the door, his eyes widened at the scene in front of him, as he saw Ai standing protectively in front of a small child that was probably Aqua if he had to guess, one arm in front of him while using her other hand to hold her bleeding abdomen, with Aqua holding a phone in his hand, his voice desperate as he called for the paramedics, and standing in front of them with a bloodied knife in hand, was a young man around the same age as him, looking like he was beginning to have a panic attack.
Yet everyone in the room froze as they heard the sound of his foot stepping on the puddle of blood at the door, all eyes turning towards him as Ai and Aqua's eyes widened in shock, with the stabber in front of him quickly turning around in shock, his eyes full of fear upon seeing Shirou's arrival, lifting his knife in a desperate responds to make himself look threatening.
"S-stand back, don't make me us-" Before the stabber could even finish his sentence, Shirou had grabbed the arm that had been holding onto the knife with a vice-like grip, almost breaking his arm as he pulled him closer to deliver a powerful haymaker straight into his face, making so his head whipped backward as blood escaped his mouth, but Shirou wasn't done and quickly moved closer, turning around and flipped the stabber over his shoulder, throwing him hard onto the ground as the stabber went out cold with a pained groan, lying motionless on the ground.
Shirou let out a breath he had been holding, trying to cool himself down before turning around when he heard Ai fall onto the fall after losing most of her strength, seeing as Aqua was trying to stop the bleeding, pleading with his mother to hang on.
"Well, I let my guard down there, so door chains are for times like this, huh?" Ai was talking to herself, delirious from blood loss as he ran up to help her.
"Don't try to speak!" Aqua was shouting in a desperate plea as he watched his mother slowly dying in front of him, even ignoring Shirou as he knelt right beside him and began examining the damage done.
"Shit, Aqua, get the bandages," Shirou called out to Aqua who froze at hearing his name coming out of the stranger's mouth, his head slowly turning up to watch the man with widened eyes, something Shirou didn't have time for. "Hurry!"
"R-right!" Aqua ran out of the room as Shirou moved Ai to lay more flat on the ground he ripped her dress up a bit to get more access to the stab wound.
"Ah, Shirou, you're here," Ai spoke with a small shaky voice as she watched him with weary eyes, giving him a weak smile.
"Sorry I was late Ai, but don't worry, everything will be fine I promise." Shirou tried to give her a reassuring smile as he held both his hands over the stab wound as he was trying to apply direct pressure to it, closing his eyes as he fully focused on the wound. 'Please, don't be too late.' He slowly breathed in before muttering the words he was most familiar with. "Trace on."
Everything around him still for a second as the air shifted ever so slightly, his mind focusing on the wound in front of him with everything else forgotten or ignored, as a small circuit-like pattern appeared over his hands, traveling down and enveloping the wound with a cyan light, his magic circuits heating up with the familial warmth that he'd become accustomed to over the years as he began focusing on a spell outside his comfort zone, trying to mend the wound and stop the bleeding.
He first focused on closing the hole at the aorta, stopping the worst of the bleeding before it was too late, which took him more time than he would have liked, but in the end, he succeeded in doing it as Ai's condition stopped getting worse, her body still weak from the amount of blood she had lost, her mind going in and out of consciousness, but eyes still looked towards Shirou in awe through it all, even if her mind couldn't fully understand what was going on anymore, she could still feel the warmth coming from her stomach.
When Aqua had been tasked with retrieving the bandages, he had run past Ruby who was in the middle of making her way towards the door, before being startled by his appearance.
"What happened, why are people shouting," But even then, she couldn't help but worry about what was happening out in the hallway, looking between the door and her brother, who had been ignoring her in favor of the first aid kit, where he retrieved the bandages that he was after, something she didn't like the implications of. "Aqua?"
"Nothing, just stay here and wait, and everything will be ok." Aqua didn't give her much thought, his training as a doctor in his past life has been kicking into overdrive, as every second counted in these kinds of situations.
But before he could leave through the door, Ruby stopped him by standing in front of the door, blocking his way towards the hallway, her expression serious. "What's going on?"
"If you want to know, why aren't you going in there yourself?" Aqua couldn't help but question her decision of continually asking him instead of just checking herself, but after asking her the question, he had an idea as to why that was the case just by looking at her face, she was scared, her eyes moving back and forth between looking at him and trying to look behind her, becoming more pale as they were talking, but it didn't matter, he didn't have time for this as he slowly let out a sigh.
"I don't have time for this, if you want to know, look for yourself." He walked past her as he opened the door, Ruby hesitated a bit before trying to follow him, only to be blocked by him as he stopped right by the door, confusing her greatly.
"Aqua?"
"Shh, look," whatever it was that he was pointing towards forced Ruby to look at what she feared the most when she saw the blood on Aqua's hand, Ai's laying on the ground in a pool of her blood, Ruby's eyes widening as she began hyperventilating at the sight, a hand quickly covering her mouth as she was about to scream at the sight, stopping her and pulling her back to reality as she looked back towards her brother who still had his eyes turned towards the scene in front of them. "Be quiet, whatever he's doing, it's working."
Ruby turned her eyes slowly as she finally noticed Shirou hovering over Ai with his hands on her stomach, her eyes focusing on the cyan light that glowed from those very same hands onto their mother's stomach, her eyes widening in awe at the display of what she could only believe was magic being performed right in front of her eyes.
But before Ruby could ask any questions, the man in front of them began gasping for air as the cyan light disappeared, pulling Ruby back to reality with Aqua using this as a que to step forward with the bandages, silently trying to hand them over to Shirou, surprising him by his appearance.
"Thanks, help me put these on," Instead of accepting the bandages, he instead asked Aqua to help him apply them, something Aqua did without much complaint, doing exemplary work on applying them even surprising Shirou with how well he did it. "You're good at this, you've tried this before?"
"I have." Aqua kept it short as the sounds of sirens could be heard getting closer, indicating the arrival of the paramedics and the police too from the sound of it.
"I see, looks like they'll be here soon," Shirou didn't think too much about it and instead looked out the door as he stood up, rummaging through his jacket and pulling out a towel, wiping his hands clean of blood before handing it over to Aqua who did the same. "Here, go inside and get yourself properly cleaned up, both of you, I'll handle this."
"What're gonna do?" Aqua asked as he watched Shirou walk over to the knock-out man on the ground.
"I'll call someone to come pick you two up," Shirou let out a sigh as he scratched his head. "After that, I'm not sure, it depends I guess."
"Depends on what?"
"On whether or not I would be allowed to leave, but for now I want you two to leave, the police will arrive shortly," Shirou replied bluntly as he crouched down beside the man and pulled out some rope from his jacket and used it to tie up the man's arms, before checking his pockets.
"Sure, let's go, Ruby." Aqua understood the underlying meaning of his request and tried to leave with Ruby.
"But-" But Ruby didn't, unsure as to why she had to leave her mother lying on the ground alone, but a shake of the head from her brother and she understood that this wasn't the time.
"We would only get in the way, it better to just let him do his thing." Aqua gave one last look towards Shirou as he pushed Ruby into the living room, seeing as Shirou emptied the man's pockets, placing them on the shelf closest to him.
When Shirou finally heard the door closing and he was finally alone, he took the man's phone, doing a quick structural analysis on it, before typing in the password flawlessly afterward.
"Let's see what you have." A quick search through his phone revealed to him who he was. 'Kaihara Ryosuke, 22 years of age, and goes to college in Tokyo School of Business.' Looking further through the phone, he looked through messages where he found something interesting.
"Someone's leaked Ai's apartment, but who could it be?" Shirou wasn't as shocked by it as he thought he would be, having gotten the feeling that Ryosuke couldn't do it himself, but from the looks of it, the person who had helped him had already deleted their account, the only evidence left was the messages between them.
Shirou hummed to himself as he stood up, turning his attention to the lights that were getting brighter outside as he placed the phone with the rest of Ryosuke's stuff, before looking back towards Ai whose chest slowly moved up and down, indicating a slow but steady breathing, before a sigh escaped his mouth as he moved outside to meet the paramedics, taking his phone out and typing in the number of Ai's agency. "This is going to be a long day."
Waiting in a hospital wasn't exactly one of the things Shirou foresaw would happen today, but here he was, sitting in the waiting area and watching the news on the television station by the wall, waiting for any news from the doctors about Ai's condition.
The news talked about the usual, about different events happening around Japan, one being Ai's stabbing and the cancellation of B-komachi's concert at the Tokyo Dome because of it, with a fan being interviewed about the topic, voicing his concerns about Ai's condition and well being, the news distorting the story a bit by stating it was one of her neighbors who heard the commotion and came to help, something he was more than happy with, as it meant he wouldn't be in the limelight.
When Ai was taken to the hospital by the paramedics, Shirou talked with the police when they were arresting Ryosuke, answering some of their questions, keeping it vague what his relation was with Ai, only telling them that he was an old friend visiting and that he had already called Ai's agency to pick up the kids, getting permission to leave afterward.
When Shirou left, he didn't immediately go to the hospital where Ai was located but instead made his way to Ryosuke's apartment, entering with a traced key to try looking for anything that could help him find the person who had leaked Ai's address to Ryosuke, but instead, he was met with a mess of a room with trash everywhere, scary amounts of posters and merch of Ai everywhere, almost scaring him by how obsessed the man was about her, but
he couldn't find anything that could lead him to the person who had leaked Ai's apartment, leaving him empty-handed when he left, visiting Ai in the hospital the day after.
A sigh escaped Shirou's lisp as he zoned out the rest of the news anchor's speech, leaning back into his seat as he tried brainstorming for whoever it could be that had done it, but nothing stuck out to him at all, not having talked to Ai in the last few years, he didn't know how many people Ai could have been in contact with, it could even be some of his enemies targeting Ai in a way to get to him, but the thought sounded very unlikely as he hasn't been in contact with Ai after his debut into the bigger world of magecraft, but it couldn't hurt having Rin look into it.
" ?"
"Hmm, yes?" Shirou's train of thought was interrupted by a man in blue scrubs and a doctor's coat, indicating his status at the hospital. In his left hand, he held a wooden tablet with medical documents.
"Please come with me." Shirou stood up from his seat as the doctor indicated with his right hand for Shirou to follow him, Shirou obliged his request with no hesitation.
"How is she?" Following the doctor, Shirou couldn't help the anxious feeling in his stomach, getting impatient to know if Ai would live or not, but the doctor took it in stride, used to this situation, and could understand his worries.
"She's stable for now, but it was a close call," The doctor said professionally while looking at the report of the incident. "If the bleeding hadn't been stopped, she would have been dead before the paramedics arrived."
A Sigh of relief escaped Shirou's lips as he felt the weights on his shoulder becoming a bit lighter.
"But…" But it was short-lived.
"What is it?" Shirou couldn't stop the churning in his stomach as the doctor hesitated for a second before he let out a sigh and stopped in his tracks, turning his eyes to Shirou.
"I don't know how to put it gently, so I'll be frank with you," Shirou gave him the nod to continue as he stopped in front of him."From the amount of blood she had lost when she had been stabbed, her abdominal aorta should have been hit too, but from the scans that have been done, there are no signs of any damage done to it."
"Which means…"
"Which means that either her aorta was hit, but has magically healed on its own, or there's something else that has gotten hit which hasn't been shown on any of the scans we have done." A drop of cold sweat ran down Shirou's chin when he heard this, getting more nervous at the thought, something that the doctor could see, as he put a hand on Shirou's shoulder.
"No need to be nervous, it doesn't change anything for now, she's stable and we just have to do some more testing to see if we can find anything," But he had ended up taking it the wrong way as Shirou scratched his chin while looking away from the man, turning back when he heard the doctor let out a humous laugh. "Besides, maybe this is a sign that gods do exist out there, after all, looking out for us in some manner."
Shirou couldn't help the awkward chuckle that escaped his mouth as they made their way down the hallway again.
The rhythmic sound of the heartbeat monitor beeping along was the first thing Shirou heard when he entered, the doctor right behind him as they walked closer to Ai's bed, her face serene as if nothing had happened, the only thing that disturbed it was the tube running through her nose.
"She looks less pale now, that's good," Shirou commented casually, placing a hand on the side rail, and turning to look at the doctor. "How long till she wakes up?"
"We don't know," The doctor gently shakes their head from side to side, before letting out a sigh. "In cases like this, it all depends on the patient and how long the oxygen to the brain was cut, it could be just a few days, but it could also be weeks before she wakes up."
"I see," Shirou's shoulders sagged a little as he replied, turning to give the doctor a small but thankful smile, raising his hand for a handshake. "Thank you, doctor."
"No need to thank me, I'm just doing my job," The doctor accepts the handshake, returning both hands into the pockets of his coat before walking out through the door, stopping just by it and turning to give Shirou one last look with a small smile. "I have some other things to do now, so I'll give you some time alone with her, to do your thing."
"Thank you again, doctor." With a final nod to Shirou, the doctor closed the door and left, giving Shirou the time alone with Ai that he wanted, yet when Shirou tried to say anything, nothing came to mind now that Ai was still unconscious, he had hoped he could've talk with Ai about the incident and ask if she had any clue as to who the leaker could be, but in hindsight he should have known that the chances for her waking up so soon after the incident were very minimal, but there were nothing else he could do to further his investigation.
A sigh escaped Shirou's lips as he found himself a seat near the bed, his hands folded together in front of his mouth as his elbows were supported by his knees, his eyes never leaving Ai, and when he was about to say something, he got interrupted when the door opened up, revealing Saito Ichigo and his wife walking in, Aqua and Ruby right between them.
Ichigo's eyes narrowed in on him immediately upon seeing him, a scowl appearing on his face as he walked closer to him, Shirou meeting him halfway as he stood up from his seat.
"How did you get in here? Only family members are allowed to be here." Ichigo walked up to him, standing right in front of him with a piercing glare that could probably scare most people, but Shirou wasn't like most people and took it in stride.
"I have my ways," Shirou replied casually as he folded his arms, his eyes turning towards Miyako, her body instinctively putting herself between him and the kids, blocking them from his view, earning a sigh from Shirou. "Besides, I'm just an old friend."
"Old friend you say, who do you think you are," Ichigo grabbed him by the color, shocking everyone in the room with the reckless action, Shirou's eyes rose in surprise upon seeing the anger in the man's eyes. "Showing up when Ai is like this, thinking you have any right to return into her life just like that!"
"I think anything of the sort!" Shirou pulled his hands up, trying to defuse the situation, but it didn't change anything.
"Don't take me for a fool, you asshole, I know who you are," Ichigo pulled Shirou's head closer to his, his voice dangerously low as they looked each other in the eyes. "You're the bastard that knocked up Ai and then disappeared out of nowhere, leaving her alone with two kids, so cut the crap."
The revelation surprised both Miyako and Ruby, their eyes widened in disbelief, while Aqua already had an inkling suspicion that that was the case, more surprised that it was Ichigo who confirmed it, something Shirou was shocked to find out, not thinking that the man in front of him already knew.
"Surprised?" And Ichigo noticed it with a cruel grin on his face, enjoying the shocked face. "I suspected it when you called yesterday after Ai had been attacked, I remembered hearing your voice from somewhere before, but I wasn't certain from where, but seeing your face here confirms it, you're that kid Ai recognized during the fan meeting in Fuyuki, you were there with your sister, the time frame even match."
Shirou looked away, his brows furrowing as he processed everything that had been said, a sigh escaping his lips as he turned back to the man, his eyes downcast.
"You're right, I am an asshole, I may not have known, but that is not a good enough excuse for leaving her as I did," His voice got hollow the longer he talked, but his eyes hardened as he raised his head to look Ichigo in the eyes, his voice getting more determined. "But she wanted me to at least meet them, to give them a chance to meet their father, and even if I don't deserve it, we shouldn't punish the children because of the parent's mistake, they didn't ask for this."
"Tch, fine," Ichigo let go of Shirou's shirt, pushing him away in the process as he folded his arms afterward, his anger fizzling out a little, overshadowed by the worry he had for his surrogate daughter, his worried eyes looking at Ai unconscious form. "How is she?"
Shirou looked at Ai with a small frown upon hearing the man's voice sounding so tired, a closer glance at Ichigo's face, and one would've been able to see the bags under his eyes, even if he hid them well. "She'll survive, but they don't know when she'll wake up, it could take weeks from what they said."
"Right," Ichigo muttered slowly, his hand slowly moving under his chin in thought, before turning to his wife. "Miyako, call the office and tell them to cancel any plans regarding B-Komachi until further notice, and take the kids with you."
"O-oh, right." Miyako looked hesitant between her husband and the man beside him, before deciding to do as he requested, picking up her phone and leaving the room, taking the kids with her.
"Now tell me, why are you here?" Ichigo sent a glance toward Shirou before looking back at Ai, his voice more neutral than before.
"I had some questions I wanted to ask her.".
"And that would be?" Ichigo looked at the man with suspicion.
"Someone leaked Ai's address to the stabber, and I want to know who." Shirou silently said, watching Ichigo from the side as he did, seeing the man's eyes widen in response to the answer before narrowing again.
"And you wanted to know if Ai had given it to someone?"
"Yes."
"And what would you do if she did, not like you could do anything with that information." Ichigo scoffed at the idea.
"I don't know, I just don't like the idea of doing nothing when I don't know who targeted Ai and the kids." Shirou glanced over at the door, something Ichigo noticed if the grunt from him was any indication.
"I'll move them to a new address as soon as Ai's out of the hospital then, in the meantime they'll stay with us," Ichigo said in an even tone, yet Shirou shook his head in response. "What?"
"Moving their address won't change anything if it's not secure enough to protect them while the perpetrator is still out there."
"You have any better ideas?" Ichigo asked in frustration.
"I have a place in Fuyuki where they can stay, should be secure enough for the time being." Shirou faced Ichigo as their eyes met, Ichigo's narrowing in response.
"And what if it isn't?"
"Then I will make it so it is."
"And how can I be certain that I can trust you, you may be their father, but you have never done anything for them, you even made Ai's life harder with what you did." Ichigo stabbed a finger into Shirou's chest, silence falling between the two as tension filled the air, none of them backing down as neither of the two broke eye contact.
"Heh, you're right, I haven't done anything to deserve your trust, and you would be a fool to give to someone blindly" Yet in the end, it was Shirou who broke the silence with a sarcastic chuckle, giving the man an humorous smug that rubbed him the wrong way, but before he could say anything, Shirou demeanor changed back to something more serious and determined, his eyes looking straight at the man with a hardened gaze. "But even so, I give you my word that I will do anything in my power to protect them, no matter what happens."
Hearing the words from the man in front of him, the first thing Ichigo thought of saying was 'Bullshit', but something inside him stopped him from uttering that word, he couldn't place the reason why, but just looking at the man in front of him made Ichigo feel like he could actually trust him, that what he was saying wasn't just some bullshit spiel to try and win him over like everyone else he had heard in his line of work, but something that he meant with all his heart.
And he fucking hated it, he couldn't understand why he felt like that, but he did and he knew when to listen to his gut feeling, so in the end he just let out a sigh of frustration, pinching his eyes while doing so.
"Fine, fine, you win, they can stay with you while the situation gets handled," Ichigo more or less shouted, throwing his hands up in the air as he said those words, frustration evident in his voice, but he wasn't done talking as he pointed a finger between Shirous eyes, speaking through gritted teeth. "But I swear, if anything happens to them while they are in your care, then I will personally make you pay, you hear me?"
"Loud and clear," Shirou replied with a chuckle.
"Good, if you don't have anything else you need, leave, but take this with you," Ichigo gave him a small business card with his information on it, but when Shirou took it he noticed another number written on the back. "That's my private number, call me later and we can figure out the details."
Shirou didn't say anything in return, only giving the man a curt nod before leaving, passing by Miyako and the kids on the way out, watching as they walked in and closed the door, and with nothing else to do, he left the hospital.
Preparations on the to-do list.
Let's go, I finally got second chapters out, 10k words down, another 10k to go, and I have how long before the competition ends? a month, well shit. XD
Jokes aside, hope you liked this chapter and found the way Shirou handled Ryosuke satisfying, as I wanted it at least be something that Shirou would actually do and not something over the top like beating the man to a bloody pulp while he's down, something actually I try my best to do most of the time, even if some people in the comments say I don't and is just using his name as a easy slap on for a gloryfied OC, trust me, if I did, this story would have been completly different, but eh, I can understand that sentiment to an extent, and just wanted to say this before continuing.
Now moving over to some of the comments.
Gilgamesh50: I sadly can't promise you that as you already have read, but now the question is how deep down the rabbit hole they will go.
whopper028: That does sound about right, and would actually also fit the time frame of the actual show to some extent, which is nice.
NTMkensei03: Yeah, dead is really blunt, but I felt like that was something Shirou could say, as he is more accustomed to death even from a young age.
Guest with Plothole question: I can see what you mean about the plot hole of who leaked her location on multible occasions, but that is something I have had into consideration, and I will be honest, that is something I am uncertain of wether I should keep him as the perpetrator, or it should be someone else, which is why I hope to get an opinion from some of you in the reviews, what do you guys think?
I think that's about it, if I missed anyone, sorry I just don't want this to fill more than it already does, also a lot of people wanted Ai to live, don't worry, she will, I have plans for her :]
