Dipper Pines' journal, April 1st. Today is April fools day as you can tell so you must be thinking how it went. Soos did the annual Mystery Shack April Fools special, which consisted of him playing a bunch of pranks on a bunch of the customers which included glue on door knob. Which he accidentally fell for and now has a door stuck on his hand. Me and Wendy played a few pranks on Grunkle Stan by leaving one of the worst episodes of Doctor What on repeat and replaced the current batteries with old batteries. He was angry! Yeah, me and Wendy have been hanging out quite a bit recently. Yeah we hung out before, but not to this extent. Maybe she's just trying to keep me company after what happened with Pacifica, but regardless, I don't think I'll have a crazy adventure without her coming. Is it weird that I said that? Nah. Back to Hunter and Willow, they didn't get in the mood with the pranking, they just worked their butts off all day. I'm not as protective as I was with Hunter before though. I have saved him a few times, but for the most part, he can really handle himself well. Me and Grunkle Ford have neither found the shapeshifter who we found out is named Clyde and Comet. The tracking device I had on Clyde was found in Blub's moustache. Though at first we thought Clyde took the form of his moustache so….Yeah, let's just say I had a night in prison for tearing off a law enforcement officer's moustache off their face which is very illegal in Gravity Falls. Can't believe I have quite the criminal record. Plus, I learnt that Clyde can dig through his victims minds with tentacles which no one knows what they do except make their brain's uncomfortable. Don't know what this means but anywho. We had a few adventures. Hunter somehow became the champion of Dance-a-beat-revolution which must be his training with the Emperor's Coven doing the trick. But turns out the game trapped him and he vowed never to dance again. Until the Mystery Shack party where he joined in on the Macarena at the behest of Willow. Of course. We fought some more dinosaurs that got freed from their sap. Me and Wendy even rode a T-Rex together. And then there was that one time where I went to New York Comic Bust where I got attacked by fans of my work. Heck, one even followed me back to Gravity Falls because he hated my book so much. It was like I was living some stalker movie. Tonight, me, Mabel, Wendy, Hunter and Willow are going out looking for the Big White Wolf. A strange creature that the Manotaurs have warned me about. Ford told me about how he once saw it and he called it the most majestic thing he has ever seen in his life. So majestic he forgot to write about it in his journals. He says it's rare to spot, so let's hope we spot it tonight.
It was rainy nighttime at the Mystery Shack, Hunter and Willow were in their bedrooms packing some stuff for the nighttime walk.
Flapjack handed Hunter a water bottle that he packed in his bag while Clover flew to her owner and handed Willow a pair of gloves for her to wear tonight that she put on.
"I hope we will see this wolf tonight." Hunter said.
"Me too." Willow agreed. "Plus, it'll be the first time I'll be seeing a wolf."
"Mine too!" Hunter exclaimed. "I just hope they're more friendly than porcupines. I think I still think I have a few quills in me."
"I'm still finding them." Clover flew to her owner's hair and pulled out a small quill. "Ow!" Willow rubbed her head.
"I mean, the wolf is probably more mystical than wolves such as Grey wolves or an arctic wolf or maybe a northwestern wolf." Hunter said.
"Probably." Willow said.
"Do you think we should give it some meat just in case it might be hungry?" Hunter asked. "Or maybe it would be full. Because they eat on average between 5-12 pounds of food per day, but are capable of going for days without a meal."
Willow raised an eyebrow at her roommate. "You're into wolves aren't you?"
Hunter shrugged his shoulders. "What? They're some of the coolest animals in the Human Realm. They hunt in packs though sometimes they go solo due to wanting independence."
"They sound pretty cool." Willow said. "Human Realm sure does have a lot of cool things doesn't it?"
"Yeah." Hunter agreed. "Nearly two months. How do you feel?"
"Well, it's still a little scary that there are things about the Human Realm I don't know about, but I'm glad I have you by my side." Willow said. "It gives me some assurance that there's someone who's as confused as me about the new surroundings."
"What about your dads?" Hunter asked. "Do you miss them?"
Clover looked at Hunter with a worried look while her owner just gripped on her backpack and put on a forced smile. "Don't worry about me Hunter. I'm fine. I just need to make sure you're fine. Are you?"
"Yeah. I'm fine." Hunter said before he thought back to something that was bothering him. He had a feeling that he wasn't safe at all. Not from the monsters of Gravity Falls, but a worse monster. "Hey Willow, do you ever get the feeling that Belos isn't truly gone?"
"What?" Willow asked. "He got splattered against a wall. I don't think anyone would have survived that."
"I don't know." Hunter said. "I mean, I know no one could survive that. I just don't know if he truly is gone." In that moment, he began to panic. "And if he isn't, then he'll be after me and hurt the people closest to me! Which includes you, Dipper, Wendy, Mabel, Stan, Ford and Melody. Like he did with
Pacifica!"
Willow walked up to Hunter and placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder. "Hey, don't worry." Willow wrapped her arms around Hunter's waist, causing his cheeks to turn red. "Belos is gone. He will never hurt you again. And not on my watch either." Willow's cheeks turned red as well as she felt the warmth of Hunter.
Then, the door opened to reveal Mabel, dressed in a yellow raincoat and green boots. "Hey kids!" She froze when she saw the position Willow and Hunter were in. She began to grin. "Oookay! Either this is an April Fools prank or you are together!"
"What?!" Hunter and Willow exclaimed before the plant Coven student unraveled herself from her friend/roommate.
"No!" Willow argued.
"No! Me and Willow aren't doing anything!" Hunter argued.
Mabel began nodding her head as she wasn't buying their claims. "Uh huh. Uh huh."
"No!" Willow argued.
"Let's just get downstairs." Hunter said. "I hope Dipper and Wendy are ready."
Downstairs in the gift shop, Wendy, dressed in a green raincoat, brown boots and camo pants, was deciding whether she should take her axe or her hatchet. "Axe? Or hatchet? Axe? Hatchet? Axe adds more of a punch. But hatchet adds more mobility."
Dipper then entered the gift shop dressed in a brown coat, green pants and brown boots. "I think hatchet. Adds more mobility."
"I don't know. Axe is more punchy." Wendy said as she stared at her weapons with deep analysis.
"Are the others here, yet?" Dipper asked.
"They will be." Wendy said. "I hope we'll find this giant white wolf. By the way, what's so special about this white wolf?"
Lightning struck behind them and in a flash, Ford was suddenly standing behind Dipper. "The Big White Wolf is one of the most majestic things you will ever witness. Like, it's so majestic that words cannot be expressed at its beauty." Tears escaped Ford's eyes as he reminisced seeing the creature.
"Okay, not much of a description." Wendy said.
"Yeah. What does it exactly do?" Dipper asked.
"I don't know." Ford replied. "I think it speaks any language. Or maybe it was just howls."
More lightning struck and Stan suddenly appeared behind Wendy. "He's spouting nonsense!"
Wendy screamed and almost hit Stan with her axe. Though, it luckily sliced a bobble head Soos in half. "Mr Pines! Don't sneak up on me like that!" Wendy exclaimed.
"Sorry." Stan reached under the counter and pulled out a can of Pitt cola. "I forgot my emergency Pitt cola."
"Why?" Wendy asked.
"I'm looking after a pregnant woman." Stan replied before walking away into the living room. "So forgive me if I don't join. I just have an obligation to look after my surrogate daughter-in-law while Soos tries to remove that door from his hand. It's mood swings and cravings I gotta deal so thanks a lot, you two!"
"It's not mine or Dipper's fault Ford doesn't label his glue bottles!" Wendy retorted. "Soos had no idea it was super duper wuper glue!"
Mabel, Hunter and Willow walked into the gift shop with their respective backpacks of supplies and Palismans at the ready. "Are you two ready?" Mabel asked.
"Ready as always!" Wendy said.
"Pen, ink bottle and journal at ready." Dipper replied.
Whereas the humans looked excited, Hunter and Willow looked skeptical. "You sure looking for this white wolf in a rainstorm is a good idea?" Willow asked.
"Guys, don't worry." Wendy assured them. "Rain doesn't boil here."
"I know but….Are there any negative ramifications?" Hunter asked. "We haven't been in human rain that much."
Lightning struck and Soos suddenly showed up behind the three. "Here's something my grandpa told me."
"AAAAAHHHHH!" Everyone but Ford screamed since Ford looked to be pondering something.
"The weather has a sense of dramatic timing tonight." Ford remarked.
"Sorry dudes." Soos said. "I was busy trying to get the door off my hand…." He showed the group his hand. "….And I was overhearing what you were saying. I don't know if going out into the forest out at night especially in that weather is a good idea. You see, I had or have a cousin named Tom who had a bad night when he went out into those forests in that weather. You see, after we ate some delicious brownies together, my cousin went out into the rain and saw his worst fears come to life, literally. So, I don't know if it's a good idea."
Whereas Soos, Hunter and Willow looked concerned, everyone else not so much. "Soos, the keyword is, he ate a brownie." Wendy said.
"Sounds more like college." Mabel remarked. "Boy, that was a fun two years before better opportunities came about."
"Okay, does anyone need the bathroom before we go?" Dipper asked before Hunter, Willow and Wendy raised their hands. "Okay. Take as long as you need. We are not turning back."
Hunter, Willow and Wendy walked to the bathroom to make sure they didn't need it while out in the dark and sinister night.
"I swear if I find any Stan hair, I'm gonna be pissed." Wendy said.
"You know, I can help you get that door off your hand?" Ford said to Soos.
"Now you tell me?!" Soos exclaimed.
"Yes, yes I did." Ford said before he motioned the current Mr Mystery to follow him out of the gift shop.
Dipper and Mabel had decided to pass the time by waiting for the others. Dipper was going through some photos he had with him and Wendy.
One photo had him and her riding a t-Rex together, another had him and her taking a selfie while running away from what appeared to be an angry Bigfoot while another had a picture of the two comparing their abs.
Dipper laughed at that picture. "I won that, Wendy. Don't deny it." His cheeks turned red for a brief second before he flicked through another picture. But this time, it was just a picture of Pacifica giving a peace sign while giving a kissy face. It was at this moment, he began to flashback.
He flash-backed to when he was 14 and his girlfriend was 15 and they were walking in the forest together during the daytime so she wouldn't complain about the cold of night. It was something they would usually do when hunting monsters, but this time, they were just out walking and enjoying the beauty of nature.
"So wait, he went into the black hole and he turned out to be the ghost?" Pacifica asked.
"Yeah. It's a pretty cool plot twist." Dipper said.
She however scoffed. "That sounds needlessly complicated."
"Hey, you'd love it if you were a nerd like me." Dipper retorted.
"Why would I want to be a nerd when I have a perfect one, right here?" She asked as she wrapped her arm around his side and pulled him close.
Dipper smiled and wrapped his arm around his girlfriend's shoulder while continuing to walk. She pulled her boyfriend close for a quick kiss on his cheek which he returned with a quick kiss on her forehead.
They had been together for a year now and it was impressive how well it was going despite the fact that they would rarely see each other due to the long distance. But it was worth it when they saw each other again.
"You know before we met, I never noticed how beautiful Gravity Falls was." She remarked as she looked off into the distance to see a deer drinking from a nearby river. Seeing this beautiful creature made them stop to admire its beauty. "I never noticed how lively it was. Ya know, being cooped up with all the riches in the world as well as a bunch of fake friends and people who never really cared about me." Then, a peacock appeared and began to drink from the same river as the deer. "But ever since you came along, I can just stand here and admire its beauty without being disgusted or afraid."
But then suddenly, a mechanic bull suddenly came out of nowhere and ran the deer over which caused the peacock to run away.
"Uh….." Pacifica responded while Dipper froze in fear. "Dipper…."
"Don't worry, I'm pretty sure that this mysterious and rampant mechanical bull has nothing to do with me." Dipper said with confidence.
Then, the bull turned to Pacifica and Dipper and snorted angrily, looking ready to charge. Pacifica looked worried as well as Dipper.
"You're not wearing red are you, babe?" Pacifica asked.
"Actually, bulls are colour blind." Dipper replied. "So the reason why they'd usually attack are when they're provoked by…."
"It seems pretty provoked to me!" Pacifica interjected before she began running with Dipper following behind.
As they continued running in the forest with the bull following from behind, Dipper began digging into his pocket for something.
"What did you do to that bull?!" Pacifica asked.
"I don't know!" Dipper said. "Maybe Stan ticked it off or something and is now after blood! Literally the blood of his family which includes me!"
"What are you gonna do, bullfight it?" Pacifica asked.
"No, I'm gonna shoot it!" Dipper replied before pulling out a blaster.
His girlfriend looked surprised. "Woah! Woah! Woah! You're going to shoot that?! And is that a space gun?!"
"Well, it's a robot so it's technically not alive." Dipper argued. "And this is something I invented and I wanted to take it for a test drive!"
"Wait, you invented that?!" She exclaimed.
"Yup! Get behind me!"
Pacifica quickly got behind her boyfriend as Dipper turned to face the incoming mechanical bull. He turned the safety on the gun off and aimed it for the incoming robot that was getting close to them.
"Dipper!" Pacifica exclaimed.
"And fire!" Dipper exclaimed before he shot the bull in the head, causing it to collapse dead while it also caused him to fly backwards, crashing into his girlfriend.
They fell backwards and began to tumble down a hill together. When they got to the bottom, Dipper landed on his back, covered in green, twigs and leaves. While Pacifica landed on her ear on his chest, covered in twigs and a small cut on her cheek.
They groaned after having quite the tumble. "You alright?" Dipper asked.
But Pacifica didn't listen to the question as she was listening to the sound coming from Dipper's chest, his heartbeat. Well, she knew that he had a heart both literally and metaphorically but hearing it beating was very comforting and assuring.
"You are alright are you?" Dipper asked.
Pacifica smiled. "Yeah, I'm fine."
"You wanna stand up and go back?" Dipper asked.
"No. No. Do you mind if we lay here for a while?" She asked.
It didn't take long for him to figure out why she wanted to lay here. It was mainly because of him. But, he didn't care. He liked the way she laid on his chest, listening to his heartbeat.
"Yeah. I'd really like that." Dipper said as he rested his hand on her back and kissed her forehead.
In the present, Dipper had just finished reminiscing the past when he noticed Mabel was next to him. He screamed and fell on his rear and Mabel laughed.
"Mabel jump-scare!" She exclaimed.
Dipper just laughed as he stood up. "Yeah! Yeah."
Mabel's stupid grin vanished and she gave her brother a sympathetic stare. "Bro, are you still mourning?"
"Not much to be honest." Dipper replied.
"Dipper, you can tell me if you're still mourning." Mabel said as she placed her hand on Dipper's shoulder.
"I was just reminiscing." Dipper replied. "I mean, I still mourn for her. But not to the extent it was almost two months ago. The only thing I'm grateful for is that the man who killed her is dead."
"Yeah. Bleak but at least you're grateful." Mabel remarked.
"Because if he were alive, do you know what I would have done?" Dipper asked. "I would have killed him."
"Killed him?" Mabel responded with a surprised expression on her face. She laughed nervously. "You mean like….Punish him?"
"Punishing implies locking him away forever." Dipper said. "Killing him would be the only way for him to not hurt anybody. If he was alive, I would have been the one. For what he did to Pacifica, Hunter and everything he did in the Boiling Isles. People like Stan deserve to go to prison, but Belos deserves death. I would kill him. And I wouldn't do it quick, I would like to hear him scream in pain. It would give me some satisfaction."
Mabel looked disturbed by Dipper's psychotic speech and took a few paces away from him. "Dipper that was a bad joke."
But instead of commenting on what his sister said, Dipper just stared off into the distance with a scowl on his face.
Later, the others finished their bathroom break and were now out with Dipper and Mabel in the pouring rain trying to find the big white wolf.
They were walking in the forest and trying to not slip on the slippery mud on the ground. They had been out for the last 20 minutes trying to find this big white wolf but so far, they didn't find anything but Dipper was confident they'd find it.
While walking, Mabel and Wendy were chatting. "You finished with Miss Mabel or something?" Wendy asked.
"Nah. I'm just gonna film in Gravity Falls for a while." Mabel replied. "It keeps me closer to Dipper in case he needs me."
"Or maybe you'd want him as a guest star." Wendy said.
Mabel grinned. "That's a great idea! He always wanted to be on my show to teach kids about writing. But then I wrote his book and now he's kind of paranoid one of the kids or parents will be pretty angry with him."
"Fair enough." Wendy said.
Suddenly, Hunter slipped on some mud and landed on his rear. "Uh! Was it a good idea to find this creature at night?" Hunter asked before Flapjack landed on his shoulder.
"Well, where else are you gonna find a big white Wolf?" Willow asked as she pulled Hunter up. "It'll be the brightest thing in the darkness."
"There are some wolves that are nocturnal but they're mainly dawn and dusk animals." Hunter said. "It's so they can hunt their prey without any humans or predators after them."
Dipper looked impressed with Hunter. "You seem to know a lot about wolves."
"Careful, I think Flapjack's jealous you might have a new favourite animal." Wendy commented.
"Flapjack is irreplaceable." Hunter said while stroking Flapjack under his chin. "I got inspired after I got bitten by one."
"I thought you said you were bitten by a dog." Wendy said.
"I thought it was a husky, but turns out owning a wolf as a pet is legal in Gravity Falls." Hunter said.
"You haven't been waking up naked in random places by any chance, Hunter?" Dipper asked with worry.
"No. I've just been waking up in bed." Hunter assured him. "Usually with clothes on but one time I didn't have any on besides my underwear. But that was mainly because it was hot."
"Sure was." Willow agreed as she looked away blushing.
"So, how do we lure this wolf out?" Mabel asked. "You brought meat didn't you?"
"There are other animals that eat meat so that would be a stupid idea." Wendy replied. "So we're looking for tracks instead. Let me know if you find any tracks."
"Just so you know, wolf tracks are about 5 inches long by 4 inches wide, with four symmetrical toes and evident claws, and a single lobe on the front of the foot pad." Hunter said.
"But the wolf is said to be big." Dipper pointed out.
"Then multiply it by six?" Hunter suggested.
"We don't know how big the wolf is, but keep an eye out for big foot prints." Dipper said.
Then, Mabel got her foot stuck in a very thin flooded hole. "Uh! My foot is stuck!"
Dipper shined his flashlight on the hole Mabel was stuck in. And it looked very big and almost human like. It looked like a human footprint. "Huh, that's a funny shaped hole." Willow remarked.
"It looks like a footprint." Wendy remarked. "A human footprint. A very big one."
Mabel pulled her foot out. "Bigfoot?! Are we dealing with Bigfoot?"
"Probably." Dipper said.
"Hey look, there's another funny shaped foot print." Willow pointed to the other huge print which Dipper shined his light on. But it wasn't a footprint, it looked to be a huge human shaped handprint.
"It's a handprint." Dipper said.
"Huge one." Wendy remarked.
"What kind of animal is that?" Mabel asked.
"Maybe a Wendigo." Dipper theorised as he pulled out his second journal and opened it up to look at his information on such a creature. "But the hands are a lot smaller. This, is an entirely different creature."
Hunter began staring at the prints with intrigue before they turned into fear. Because he recognised these prints. They belonged to none other than to someone he thought could have been dead. His uncle Belos.
"Have you seen anything like this?" Mabel asked.
"No." Dipper replied. "But maybe Grunkle Ford might have. He could know something about it. Maybe it's some sort of alien or maybe a creature from Bill's realm that…"
"Dipper!" Wendy interjected. "Something's up with Hunter."
The author turned to see Hunter sitting in front of a tree with Willow by his side, looking like he was having a panic attack. While the Palismen were on each of his shoulders, nuzzling him.
"Hunter! Breathe!" Willow exclaimed.
"He's here! He's here! He's here!" Hunter panted.
Dipper, Mabel and Wendy ran towards him, causing concern for everyone. "Hunter!" Dipper exclaimed. "Mabel, Wendy, give him some space. Willow, do what you're doing." Dipper, Wendy and Mabel walked away to a further distance to give the former Golden Guard some space.
"Dipper, we have to help him." Mabel pleaded.
"Mabel, I think we should give him some space." Dipper said. "Might help him a lot better if it's just him, Willow and the Palismen."
"He said he's here." Wendy said. "But who exactly?"
They then heard a terrifying roar that made Hunter scream in fear and the Palismen fly away in terror and onto Mabel's shoulders. "He's here! He's here! He's here!" Hunter screamed. "Belos is here! Belos is here!"
"Hunter! It's not Belos!" Willow assured him.
"Yeah, it's probably Bigfoot." Wendy theorised.
"Or Stan." Mabel said. "You know what he's like when he's hungry."
Dipper however pulled out his laser. "I think we should find out what it is. Wendy, with me, Mabel, keep an eye on the kids and Palismen."
Mabel gave her brother a nod. "You got it, bro." And so Dipper and Wendy ran off to investigate the roar while Mabel watched the kids.
"I mean, it's probably just a bear, right?" Mabel asked Hunter, Willow and the Palismen. "I mean, do you want me to check?" She took a deep breath. "Hey Belos! You're old and witch hunting is dumb and your fashion of the time look more like the clothes female office workers would wear!" There was no response, only just the rain and Hunter taking a few gentle breaths and Willow gave her a judgemental stare. "Okay. Guess the last insult wouldn't make sense to him and neither would office. Okay….Uh….How would he feel if I said the stuff that was illegal back in those times aren't anymore here?"
Meanwhile, Dipper and Wendy were walking up a hill to trace the roar. During the walk, Wendy managed to find some tracks on the ground and began to analyse them.
She touched the mysterious track which looked similar to the last one and found a strange familiar white gooey substance. "Huh, strange."
"Hey Wendy, you coming?" Dipper asked from further away.
"Yeah." Wendy looked skeptical about the white substance before following Dipper. "Do you think that growl was Belos?"
Dipper chuckled. "Wendy, how could a huge gooey monster sneak past airport security? I mean even if he was alive?"
Wendy shrugged her shoulders. "Possession?"
"Wendy, he hasn't been to the Human Realm for over 400 years." Dipper reminded her. "I bet he'd struggle to understand the concept of airports and airplanes in general."
"I don't think he'd live to understand cars." Wendy said. "Because the first time he'd see a car would be his last."
Dipper laughed. "Sorry! Sorry! That was just so funny. Plus, if Belos was here then I would have noticed him by now and deal with him myself."
"You sure this guy is worth freezing and studying?" Wendy asked. "I mean, freezing would be it. Freeze him so he can never hurt anyone ever again."
Dipper shook his head. "Belos is dead Wendy. If he were alive, I'd make sure he'd be dead."
Wendy seemed surprised at first before laughing. "Dipper! That's a funny joke, dude! You, a killer?!" She laughed harder. "No offence dude, but while you are a bit of a badass, you are no killer."
"I killed General Yohan." Dipper reminded her.
"Eh, he was a cyborg with no feelings." Wendy said. "He was no O'Bailey."
"True, true." Dipper agreed. "But Wendy, I am honest. Belos is dead and I'm glad. Glad that some form of justice against him has been served after what he did to Pacifica. Because if he was alive then he wouldn't last a second with me around."
Wendy gave a nervous laugh since a part of her still wanted to believe that he was joking. "Uh…..Boy, that ab flashing contest the other day, right?"
Dipper looked mildly confused by Wendy's reaction and just shrugged his shoulder. "Uh…..Oookay. Is this a best time to discuss it? I mean not that your abs were amazingly ho….I mean, bulky…." Dipper's cheeks turned red. "….I mean…." Then, the sound of a twig snapping was heard which caused Dipper and Wendy to be alarmed.
Dipper pulled out his blaster while Wendy pulled out her axe in case of any creature. They stood back-to-back and moved further into the forest.
Dipper surveyed the forest to see just an owl hooting with Wendy doing the same but only seeing a rabbit which was strange since rabbits weren't nocturnal.
While walking, Dipper began to see something strange in the distant. He swore he saw some very distinct blonde hair in the darkness of the forest.
This sight caused Dipper to look at it with intrigue before he felt someone grab him by the collar. He looked behind him and saw Wendy had caught him by the collar.
"Hey, look where you're looking." She motioned Dipper to look in front of him. She thankfully saved him from falling off the edge of a cliff. "Ya know, you may be smart, but you can be reckless sometimes."
Dipper's cheeks turned a flash of red and stuttered a bit. "Y-Y-Yeah." He coughed. "Well, I guess we can go back to the others. Creature must have been a bear."
"But what about those prints?" She asked as she and Dipper started to make their way back to the others.
"They were probably just Old Man McGucket again." Dipper said while a rabbit began to approach them. "He probably built a mechanised monster suit just to spite someone."
Then all of a sudden, the rabbit got grabbed by a monstrous claw, causing Dipper and Wendy to stop in their tracks in fear.
The monster walked out of the shadows to reveal itself as the monster that Luz, Hunter, Amity, Gus, Willow, Sasha, Marcy and Grime had described when they arrived. It was none other than Belos in his monster form as it devoured the rabbit.
Whereas Wendy seemed terrified by its presence, Dipper was narrowing his eyes at him. "Hello, Dipper!" Belos said.
"So you know my name?" Dipper asked.
"But of course, I have been watching you and your family for almost a month." Belos explained. "Another bunch of witch loving humans." He snarled viciously at the duo. "Ah yes. Now we meet at last."
Wendy pulled out her axe and aimed it at the monster with Dipper doing the same with his blaster. "What do you want with us?" Dipper asked.
"Isn't it obvious?" Belos chuckled. "I want Hunter. I want to kill him. He was the latest Grimwalker that had failed me after all. I might as well finish what I started with him. And while I'm at it, I shall kill Willow as well." He laughed sinisterly.
"He at least took the time to remember her name." Wendy remarked.
Dipper narrowed his eyes angrily at Belos. "You are out of line Belos! If anyone deserves to die, it's you!"
"And how will I die?" Belos asked. "Just like when I stabbed Pacifica?"
Dipper shot Belos on his shoulder, causing him to squirt out some dark green blood from his shoulder and to scream. "YOU TOOK IT TOO FAR!" Dipper screamed angrily before he began charging towards Belos.
"Dipper!" Wendy tried chasing after him.
But then, Belos stretched his arm out, causing it to hit Dipper and Wendy so the two fell off the cliff. The monster looked down at his falling victims to see that they were crashing through a ton of branches which was breaking their fall.
He snarled, causing foam to spit out of his mouth. "I'll come back for you later." He sprinted away like a panther while Dipper and Wendy continued to fall.
Meanwhile, Hunter and Willow were sitting next to each other taking deep breaths together. "Breathe in…." Hunter breathed in. "…..Breathe out." Hunter exhaled. He repeated it a few times before he stopped. "There, there, well done Hunter."
"Thanks Willow." Hunter said. "Glad you're by my side."
"Me too." Willow nuzzled Hunter's face, causing him to turn red in the cheeks. "You okay?"
"I'm fine thanks to you." Hunter said. "And how are you? You still feeling alright after being gone from your dads for nearly two months?"
Willow tightened her grip on Hunter. "I'm fine, Hunter. Really, I am."
While Hunter just shrugged his shoulders, believing her. Flapjack landed on his shoulder, giving her a concerned look.
They then heard the sound of someone clicking a pen. They turned and saw Mabel writing on a notepad.
"This is impressive." Mabel remarked. "Wow. You sure you don't want to be a psychiatrist when you grow up?"
"What were you even writing down?" Willow asked.
"Oh, I'm deciding to focus more on mature topics for my next season of Miss Mabel's Emporium of Wonder Station." Mabel explained. "Such as anxiety and panic attacks and I was meaning to study ways of dealing with it when I got back but you just showed me a way. Why am I dealing this this topic you might ask? I tackled divorce last season and it gave me a ton of acclaim and also, educational shows that touch on mature topics were what we call hip with the modern generation."
"Why do the modern generation compare something cool to a body part?" Willow asked with confusion.
"It's something people did in the 90's." Mabel said.
Willow then noticed something was wrong. Specifically, the lack of a big bee Palisman on her shoulder. "Hey, where's Clover?"
"Oh, she heard a noise and I think she told me that she would investigate." Mabel said. "At least I think she did."
Willow stood up in fear. "Clover!" She ran towards the direction Mabel was pointing in, which was her
left. "Thanks!"
Hunter then gave Mabel a judgmental stare. "So you just stood there and watched me have a panic attack and Willow trying to calm me down?"
"What was I supposed to do?" Mabel retorted. "Wait until Clyde decided to put some ugly tentacles in my brain?"
Meanwhile, Willow was running through the bushes and plants to find her Palisman. "Clover! Clover!" She exclaimed worryingly. She has abandoned her dads in the Demon Realm and she doesn't wish to lose her Palisman next. "Clover! Come here girl!" She then heard some scared buzzing coming from behind a huge bush.
She smiled happily. "Clover!" She ran through the bush and found her Palisman shivering on a rock. "Hey, what's wrong girl?" She got down on her knee and patted her. "What's wrong? Do you see something?" She looked forward and froze in fear at what she was seeing.
Because right in front of the green thumb student was none other than her dad, Gilbert Park. He gave her a small smile that made Willow tear up.
"Hello sweetie." Gilbert said.
Willow looked surprised by his appearance. "Dad?" She shook her head. "No, Willow! It's just an hallucination. Maybe human rain makes you hallucinate."
Gilbert's smile vanished and he stared at his daughter with a sad look. "Sweetie, how could you say that about me?"
Willow looked horrified about what she did and held on to her shivering Palisman as she stood up. "Dad! Dad! No, that's what I meant!"
"You left me and your Papa alone in the Demon Realm to deal with The Collector and yet you think I'm not real." Gilbert said as tears fell from his eyes. "How could you say that?"
Willow began to back away in fear. "Dad! No! That's not what I meant! I thought…"
"What would your Papa say?" He asked before his head span in 360 degree direction and turning 8th Harvey Park.
"I would ask, do you feel the same way about me, Willow?" Harvey asked his daughter whom was now backing away in fear. "Is that why you abandoned us? Because you don't think I'm real as well? Willow, how could you say that about me?"
Then Harvey spun his head and turned back into Gilbert. "And me?"
"Do you have any idea how horrified I am?" Harvey asked as his head slithered out of his husband's back.
"You have upset us, Willow!" They both said simultaneously as their eyes turned pitch white and their teeth turned into fangs.
The terrifying sight of her dads caused Willow to run away in terror and fear while carrying her terrified Palisman.
Back to Mabel and Hunter, the two were busy talking about Mabel's show. "…I was also thinking of doing an episode about trauma and death. But I should probably stick to some child friendly stuff like art and colours. Hey, how early do you think it would be to teach kids about s…."
But before Mabel could finish her question, the two heard very loud panting coming towards them. Once Hunter stood up they saw that it was Willow and Clover running towards them.
"Willow?" Hunter responded. "Is everything…." Willow didn't say anything and instead tackled him in a hug that he returned once he saw how scared she looked. "Woah! Woah! Woah! What happened?" She was panting and tears were falling down her face as Hunter held on to her.
Mabel approached the two and gave them a concerned look. "Willow. What happened? Is everything okay?"
Willow just sobbed in Hunter's shoulder while he held on to her, tightening his grip. "I….I….I….I wanna go back." Willow sobbed. "I wanna go back to the Shack."
Instead of ignoring her request, Mabel gave her a sympathetic stare and smiled since she could figure out she saw something that must have terrified her. "Okay Willow. We'll go back. But we'll go back when we find Wendy and Dipper. Is that fine?"
Willow sniffled and nodded her head. "Okay."
"Do you wish to talk about what you saw?" Hunter asked her.
"Not right now." Willow replied as she held to Hunter more tightly and cried into his shoulder. Flapjack flew to her shoulder and began nuzzling her to give her some extra comfort.
"Do you think the others are okay?" Hunter asked.
"It's Dipper and Wendy." Mabel replied. "Them two have survived worst."
Meanwhile, Dipper and Wendy were unconscious in a bush together after falling from a cliff. The two were covered in a lot of sticks, mud and scratches due to surviving such an impossible fall.
Wendy was the first to stir awake and looked where her arm was, which happened to be around Dipper. Her cheeks turned red as she unraveled her arm from Dipper and tried to stand up.
But she unfortunately felt some pain right in her abdomen. She looked at down and saw that a branch had impaled her abdomen in the front but thankfully it wasn't sticking out in the back. She removed the stick from her body and took off her coat and lifted up her shirt to look at her wound.
Thankfully, it wasn't at all severe but it was still bleeding. She tore the sleeve off her long sleeved flannel shirt and tied it around her where the wound was so it would stop the anymore bleeding.
She put her raincoat back on and stood up on her feet where she noticed something in the distance. It looked to be a wolf but it appeared to have a glow and was white. But before she could try and figure out what it was, she suddenly got grabbed by Dipper.
She looked at Dipper and saw there was blood coming from his mouth and his right arm looked to be limp. Probably, dislocation.
Before Wendy could help him, he used his left arm to put his dislocated arm back in place and narrowed his eyes at Wendy.
"Dude, you won't believe what I just saw!" She exclaimed before Dipper grabbed her angrily and shoved her against the wall.
"Why didn't you stop him?!" He shouted angrily to Wendy who was surprised. "Why didn't you?! And why did you try and stop me?!"
"Dipper, Belos got you angry!" Wendy argued. "He was about to use it as a weakness."
"You should have stopped him!" Dipper argued as he tightened his grip on Wendy.
The woman was terrified of what Dipper was doing and stared at him in fear. "Dipper, dude, you're hurting me." Sure, if it was someone else she would have talked them down, but seeing Dipper like this was too scary for her.
"We could stop him from hurting anyone else and you blew it!" Dipper said as he let her go and began stomping up the hill.
"Dude, you're injured!" Wendy said.
"I don't care!" Dipper argued as he continued walking up the hill with a small limp in his leg. "I'm going to kill Belos no matter how long it takes."
Wendy just watched on in fear. Her level headedness vanished in one swoop. Dipper was filled with blood lust and that was a sight Wendy never thought she'd see and it was terrifying coming from Dipper.
She rushed up to Dipper with a nervous grin on her face. "Dipper….You are joking right?"
"Wendy, there are better places for me to joke!" Dipper argued. "Right now, Belos is dead!"
Wendy didn't want to believe it. Dipper, the man who she knew as a 12 year old boy who'd kill in self defence has rage in his blood.
"Dipper, this isn't you." Wendy said. "I mean, Yohan…."
"Was a newt who died due to being loyal to a monster!" Dipper interjected. "And Belos is going to suffer the same fate! No mercy! No trial! No imprisonment!"
"But Yohan was just self defence!" Wendy argued.
"Was it?" Said a familiar voice once the two got to the top. The sight of this familiar person made Dipper freeze in surprise at the sight of someone who he'd never thought he'd see again. Out from the shadows was none other than the supposedly dead General Yohan with his wrist blades out. "Because it looked like a straight up murder to me."
"Yohan?" Dipper reacted in surprise. "But I killed you!"
"My death was exaggerated at best." Yohan said.
Dipper was still busy trying to process everything. Every plausibility and every logical explanation. How was he alive? And if he was, shouldn't he be stuck in the in-between realms?
"But, you were stuck in the in-between realms." Dipper said.
"You didn't think I had a backup?" Yohan responded before he showed his sharp tail at the ready.
Dipper pulled out his laser sword and Wendy pulled out her axe. "Enough of the small talk!" Despite the small limp in his leg, he was charging towards Yohan with Wendy behind him.
He sliced his sword lengthways, going down but Yohan performed a backflip that made him avoid the blade. Wendy then jumped on Dipper's back and jumped off of him so she can raise her axe high and tried to slice Yohan.
The cybernetic newt used his tail to hit Wendy, who luckily landed on her feet. Dipper tackled Yohan to the ground and tried stabbing him but then the newt kicked him off.
The newt jumped up high and tried to stab Dipper before the author performed a roll. Wendy soon got up and tried to hit the general with the axe.
She almost hit the newt, but he caught her by her wrists and disarmed her of her signature weapon and kicked her backwards into a tree.
He raised the axe high in an attempt to kill her, but then Dipper stopped the blade by deflecting it with his energy sword.
This caused Dipper and Yohan to engage in an energy sword/axe fight. The two deflected each other their respective weapons from hitting each other.
Dipper tried slicing his legs but Yohan jumped upwards and kicked Dipper in his face, sending him backwards a bit.
Before Yohan could bring the axe down on him, Wendy grabbed him by his legs. He kicked her off before he got the chance to see Dipper coming at him with his energy sword.
The authors sliced the handle of the axe, disconnecting the blade from it. Yohan stared at his smoking weapon in confusion.
"Okay…Your energy based weapon can cut through wood but it can't cut through metal?" Yohan asked
Dipper was about to stab Yohan instead of getting into a conversation with him, but the newt performed a roundhouse kick on his head, knocking him to the ground.
The armoured newt raised his foot high, ready to crush Dipper's head. But then, he got shot in the shoulder by a laser gun.
He roared in pain as he traced where the shot came from. He looked forward and saw Mabel, Hunter, Willow and the shaking Palisman with the female twin holding the smoking laser pistol.
Dark green blood squirted from his shoulder as he snarled at the group before jumping away in anger.
Hunter looked at Yohan with a raised eyebrow. "Wait, was that Yohan?! Dipper, I thought you said you killed him."
A bruised Dipper stood up and narrowed his eyes at Hunter. "He's not the only one! He doesn't matter at the moment!" Dipper turned around and began stomping. "We have to find Belos!"
Hunter and Willow froze while the Palismen froze in fear. "Belos?!" Willow and Hunter screamed in terror.
Mabel gasped. "He is here?! Dipper, that might have not been Belos!"
"No Mabel, that was Belos." Wendy informed her.
Mabel looked terrified by that statement. Even though she has never met Belos, the stories Willow and Hunter told her of this character were enough to make her shiver.
"And we're going to find Belos!" Dipper said as he continued marching forward. "It's best we split up so we can find him!"
"In teams?" Wendy asked.
"We won't find him faster if we do teams!" Dipper argued before marching off.
Hunter narrowed his eyes at Dipper before he took Flapjack and teleported in front of Dipper with anger and terror in his face. "Are you kidding me?! After what me and Willow went through with him! You want us to split up to find him?!"
"I can't let him get away, Hunter!" Dipper argued.
"Listen Dipper, two people who cared about me are dead because of him!" Hunter argued. "Need I remind you Butcher, lost his head to Malsacc because that heartless beast was listening to him! And Pacifica…"
"Don't!" Dipper interjected. "Don't you dare bring up her name! We will find Belos and when we do, we will signal each other so we can take him down. And by take him down, I mean we kill him!"
"So, you're just going to have us split up?!" Wendy asked angrily as she ran up to Dipper. "Dude, what about keeping Hunter safe?!"
"Plus, Willow went through something traumatising!" Hunter argued.
"The forests are messing with us, Dipper!" Willow exclaimed. "I saw-"
"You think this forest is messing with us?!" Dipper asked angrily. "Who do you think gave me these marks?! Because I sure as hell didn't! Now, do me a favour and shut up and find him!" He activated his energy sword and began walking through one side of the woods. "BELOS!"
The others just stared at him with terror on their face since they had never seen Dipper like this before. Sure, he was angry at them but he wasn't to this extent.
"Wait, so Dipper saying he was going to kill Belos, wasn't a joke?" Mabel asked Wendy.
"Dude, Dipper's jokes are terrible." Wendy reminded her. "Dipper is in a place I never thought he'd be. Murderous intent."
"Should we stop him?" Mabel asked. "I mean, I know Belos is a genocidal maniac but….Should we…I don't know, more like, imprison him?"
"Apparently prison is not good for him." Wendy said. "Right, I suggest we do what Dipper says before he starts accusing us of sabotage. Hunter, Willow, you make sure your Palismen are with you at all times just in case. Got it?"
"Got it!" The witch and Grimwalker said before they split up.
"How are we going to know that we find Belos?" Mabel asked Wendy.
"I think the most appropriate response would be screaming." Wendy replied before she split up with Mabel, leaving her alone.
When the female twin was on her own, Mabel was standing in place looking unsure of where to go. "So, do I just stand in the pouring rain?" She shrugged her shoulders before walking. Then, she heard the sound of a howl in the distance and looked up. There, she saw the sight of a white glow that looked wolf shaped.
It caused Mabel to raise an eyebrow with curiosity at the sight of the white wolf before hearing the sound of an owl. She yelped and looked up at the owl which flew away before turning to where the wolf shaped figure was which had now vanished.
This baffled the female twin. "Huh?" Mabel responded before shrugging her shoulders and went to look for Belos. "Belos! Belos! Come out! People like witches nowadays and women have the right to vote! That's right! I can vote! I CAN VOTE!"
Meanwhile, Wendy had heard Mabel screaming. She laughed despite the all the stress that was going through her body. "There she goes again."
When she walked deeper into the forest, she found the trail of Belos, specifically his footprints. She smiled before she saw the other tracks caught her attention.
In front of Belos' prints were to be prints of some kind of humanoid newt in armour, causing her some confusion. "That's….Inconsistent." She began to follow the tracks that soon changed into the tracks of what looked to be the tracks of a grown woman. This caused further confusion with Wendy. "Very inconsistent."
She then noticed some white stuff on one of the footprints and picked it up in-between her thumb and finger to analyse it. It was similar to the same white substance she found before.
"I hope this is mayonnaise." Wendy said before putting the slime in her mouth and then spitting it out. "Nope! Definitely not!"
Meanwhile, the rage-filled Dipper was walking through the forest, cutting some trees and vines with his laser sword as he walked on.
"Come out and fight!" Dipper demanded. "Belos! You're never going to live to see your messed up Utopia!" He stopped at a small pond, dropped down on his knees and began to pant with exhaustion. He stared at his reflection with a hint of skepticism on his face as he began to think back to the last 36 minutes. Then, he splashed his face with the water. "What if Willow was right? What if the forest is just messing with us?" He splashed his face with water again. "No! She's wrong. Why could I feel every impact of the hits from Yohan and Belos?" He splashed his face in water again and looked at the reflection on the pond where he saw something horrifying.
It was Pacifica but there was blood coming from her shirt. Specifically, around the stomach area. The area where she was stabbed. The sight of her made Dipper stare at her with a terrified expression.
"Why didn't you come Dipper?" She asked anger.
"I-I-I-I-I was busy." Dipper replied.
"With what?!" Pacifica grinned. "Repairing your hand?! Well, you could have repaired that stupid hand in the Demon Realm!"
"Pacifica….Please." Dipper pleaded.
"You could have saved me!" Tears began to fall from her eyes. "But instead that monster killed me! Do you have any idea what getting stabbed was like?! Do you have any idea how much guilt Luz has over my death?! You know she blames herself, right?!"
"Luz should not blame herself!" Dipper argued. "It was my fault and mine alone!"
She smiled. "You're right. It is." Then, she grabbed Dipper by the head and began to dunk his head into the pond. She smiled with psychotic glee as she continued to suffocate him in the water. "I should have done all those years ago!"
During the struggle of trying to get his head of water Dipper managed to use his free hand to squeeze his deceased girlfriend's body in order to get her to let go of him.
"Dipper darling, you're getting a little touchy!" She exclaimed.
Suddenly, she got knocked on the head by a rock that Dipper appeared to be using with his other free hand.
The author pulled his head out of the water and began to pant for air before looking at Pacifica's dead body. He knew this wasn't real but seeing his girlfriend's dead body right in front of him was still a terrifying sight, especially since he just put her down with the dark green liquid soaked rock. He tossed the rock away before running away to find the others still with terror and fear on his face.
Meanwhile, Willow was looking around a part of the forest while sniffling her nose. She had been looking around for a few minutes and had developed a cold due to the weather.
"Still better than Boiling Rains." She said before Clover buzzed in her ear. "I'll be okay though. I've had common mold."
As she continued to investigate the forest, she suddenly noticed a ball. But it wasn't just any ball, it was a Grudgeby ball.
This baffled her for a second before the ball rolled away into a nearby bush. She walked through the bush and found someone she thought she wouldn't see in this world. It was none other than her arch nemesis, Boscha.
"Well, well, well, well." The three eyed witch remarked. "If it isn't none other than the half-a-witch herself?"
Instead of being offended, Willow just began to walk away. "I don't have time for this illusion."
"Did you really think you'd fix things with Amity?" She laughed.
"Not listening to this fear." Willow said before noticing Clover shaking in fear. "Clover, why are you shaking it's just Boscha. She's pathetic."
"Pathetic?!" Boscha laughed. "Says you! You're a half-a-witch who couldn't even save her own dads! I mean, you say you care about your about people but you didn't even save your dads."
In that moment, Willow was beginning to get frustrated by Boscha's insults and gripped her fists. "Shut up, Boscha."
"Do you wanna know why…" Willow suddenly felt heat from behind her and turned around to see her holding a flaming Grudgeby ball and Boscha had a flaming head. "…..BECAUSE YOU'RE A PATHETIC HALF-A-WITCH!"
She threw the Grudgeby ball towards Willow, who quickly ran to avoid it. She dived out of the bush and landed on her front.
Once the ball flew over her, she looked over the bush to see that Boscha as no longer there which means that this of course was just an illusion.
She smiled with relief. "Yup, of course it was an illusion. Though I don't understand why you were shaking, girl?" Once she began to walk away, she began to leave a trail of flowers. "Let's go and find the others."
Meanwhile, Hunter was walking in another section of the forest with Flapjack by his side. His Palisman was hiding behind the collar of his shirt in fear and terror.
Hunter turned to his Palisman with an assuring look. "Don't worry Flap. Belos won't hurt you." He tweeted with concern. "I'm scared as well." Flapjack tweeted again. "I'm scared but something seems off. Like, where is the logic? How did Belos get here without anyone noticing? I mean, I'm pretty sure someone would notice a monster travelling across state. It just doesn't make sense! Even that crazy conspiracy theorist would know! I mean, it's baffling my head!"
"Least it's still attached to a body." Said a voice that made Hunter freeze. He turned around to see none other than one of the former Golden Guard, Butcher. Still a head on a stick.
Hunter screamed and fell on his rear as he had completely forgotten about that horror he saw in Amphibia until now. "Butcher?!" Flapjack on the other hand, was shaking in terror.
"Hello Hunter." He said. "I see you couldn't keep ahead on what transpired in Amphibia." He laughed sinisterly. "Because of you, I died at the hands of Malsacc. Because of you! And now, you're going to die at the hands of Belos!" He laughed hard. "And the funny thing is, I'll be watching when it happens!" He laughed as blood began to leak from his eyes. "I'll be laughing!"
Hunter, terrified by the sight, turned and ran away in fear over this sight. As he ran for his life, he suddenly bumped into Willow and crashed to the ground.
They groaned for a bit before they sat up to notice the respective fears on their faces. They panted to a bit before they stood up.
"What happened?!" They simultaneously asked.
"I saw Butcher's head!" Hunter replied.
Suddenly, Wendy showed up behind the two. "Guys! I don't think Belos is the only problem we're facing! I found a trail of very inconsistent tracks."
Dipper then showed up. "I saw one of them! I almost drowned at the hands of zombie Pacifica."
"I saw my worst enemy." Willow replied.
"I saw Butcher's head!" Hunter exclaimed.
Then Mabel arrived, yelling things that would make Belos angry. "BELOS! SLAVERY WAS ABOLISHED IN 1865! AND EASTER NOW HAS A BUNNY AS A MASCOT WHICH HAS NOTHING…."
"Mabel!" Dipper interjected. "Please! I know we have to find him but how is yelling all the moments in history meant to weaken him."
"Anger is a very weak emotion." Mabel said. "I said that on episode 16 of Miss Mabel's Emporium of Wonder Station."
"And wait, a zombie Pacifica?!" Wendy reacted.
"Yes. Did anyone else encounter anything else that might have disturb you?" Dipper asked.
"I did. Being underestimated." Willow replied.
"Butcher's head." Hunter said.
"Hold up, did you say she tried to drown you?" Mabel asked.
"Yes."
"But how?" Wendy asked.
"You remember how Soos told us a story about this forest showing us our worst fear?" Everyone nodded their heads. "Well, I think these hallucinations are more powerful than I thought. Not only can others see them, as proven by Wendy and I seeing Yohan, we can feel them as well."
"And the footprints." Wendy said.
"Wait, is Yohan really your worst fear?" Mabel asked her brother.
Dipper looked at Mabel with a perplexed look. "Not really. I mean, he was intimidating but I didn't fear him like anyone else."
"But you must fear me!"
They looked to a nearby log and saw Belos jump out in his monster form. He stood on his hind feet and performed a powerful roar that shook the entire forest.
Dipper narrowed his eyes at Belos while Hunter and Willow stared at him with the trauma of their bridge battle coming back. While Belos just narrowed his eyes at the group.
"Time for you to die, Pines!" His hand shape changed into an axe and tried to bring it down on Dipper, but then the author activated his sword causing him to back up a bit. He used his other hand to try and hit him before someone wrapped his wrists in vines.
He looked and saw Willow with her Palisman out. He used his strength to yank her forwards, causing her to fall on her face.
Then, Wendy jumped on his back and began hitting him with her hatchet. He grabbed her and tossed her aside. But she was saved by Hunter who caught her and placed her down gently.
Mabel began screaming and charging at Belos while blasting him with her laser blaster. Despite all the hits, he was still standing. He eventually knocked Mabel with a slap, causing her to tumble to the ground.
Dipper then sliced Belos by the arm causing him to scream in pain before backhanding Dipper into a tree.
Luckily, he wasn't put down for long as he pulled out his blaster and began shooting. He was about to fight back but then he felt like that his legs were incapable of moving.
He looked behind him and saw that Willow had her vines around his ankles and pulling him down to the ground.
But before he could fight back against Willow, Wendy managed to hit him in his side with her hatchet, causing the beast to scream in pain.
He tried to hit her back with his hands but then, Hunter suddenly appeared in front of him and hit him in the face.
He was about to hit Hunter again, but more vines coming from the ground that wrapped around his wrists prevented him from doing so.
But unfortunately, Willow didn't have enough strength to keep him down. She tossed three of the vine handles she was using to hold her vines to some of the group. Mabel, Wendy and Hunter; With assistance from Clover and Flapjack. They each held on to make sure that he was kept down.
"Okay Mabel, whatever you do, do not tell him about all the historical events that would blow his mind because pissing him off seems to make him powerful." Wendy requested.
Belos struggled to get out of his vines but he couldn't due to how weak everyone made him. Dipper then approached Belos with anger on his face and his energy sword out. The same thing he was going to use to kill him.
"Now I have you down, I'm going to kill you." Dipper declared.
Everyone whom was holding Belos down was giving each other contradicting looks over Dipper's irrational way of dealing with Belos.
Hunter and Willow seemed to be the only ones who looked to be on board with it while Wendy and Mabel were skeptical.
"Dipper, this isn't you!" Mabel argued.
"Mabel, he should do it!" Hunter protested. "He has brought nothing but pain to all of us!"
"And because of him I am torn from my dads!" Willow exclaimed.
"But we should probably lock him away for eternity!" Wendy suggested. "No need for any kind of execution!"
"He almost killed hundreds!" Hunter argued.
"I agree." Dipper said before narrowing his eyes at Belos. "Give me a reason to spare you."
Belos stared at Dipper sinisterly. "Do you wanna know what it was like killing Pacifica?"
"Dipper!" Willow yelled. "Whatever he's about to say, don't! He'll only do it to rattle you up!"
"When my blade went into her gut, I swore I felt I hit a vital organ." He said to the already angry Dipper. "Maybe the gallbladder, the spleen, the liver, but believe me, there was a lot of blood." He gave a mocking laugh to try and anger Dipper. "You should have seen the look on her face. The pleading, the shock, the sadness. A good for nothing witch lover."
"Belos, shut up!" Wendy demanded.
"Don't make me tell you all the historical advancements that happened!" Mabel exclaimed. "Do you want me to explain how women got the right to vote?! Because I will!"
"And do you wanna know something? I would have done it again! And again! Just like I do with Hunter!"
In his anger, instead of killing him, Dipper wanted him to suffer so he instead began to punch him in the face repeatedly.
"Dipper!" Willow exclaimed.
Suddenly, Belos used his strength to free himself from the vines and scratched Dipper lengthways, causing his coat and shirt to be torn.
But the vines being pulled did cause Wendy, Mabel and Willow to quickly let go, but Hunter wasn't exactly quick enough.
The former Golden Guard tried to hold his uncle down with every ounce of strength he had, but his uncle was unfortunately stronger and flung Hunter off the vine, causing him to crash into a tree.
"HUNTER!" Willow screamed.
Belos snarled in anger before he narrowed his eyes at the group that tried to finish him off. He looked to the blood that was oozing out of his sides. He touched it with his hand and flicked some of the blood in Wendy's direction, causing some of it to get in Wendy's face.
Then, the monster ran away after a loud monstrous roar while Dipper narrowed his eyes back while Wendy and Mabel were just in shock.
"Should I tell him about all the types of marriages?" Mabel asked.
"Guys!" Everyone turned to a tearful Willow, whom was holding the unconscious Hunter while their respective Palismen were nuzzling him. "Hunter isn't moving!"
Wendy and Mabel ran toward the unconscious Hunter while the rage filled Dipper looked at his torn clothes and noted how damaged they look so he took them off.
Wendy checked the pulse on his wrist and neck before she began to listen to his breath. She sighed with relief. "Don't worry. Hunter's alive, but he probably needs some tending at the shack."
"Later, we got to find Belos!" Dipper argued.
"Finding Belos?!" The tearful Willow exclaimed. "Finding Belos?! Haven't you seen what has happened?! Hunter is hurt because of you!"
"That was Belos!" Dipper argued.
"He was hurt by Belos because of your rage against him!" Wendy argued. "What good do you think will come if you kill him?!"
"Everyone will be safe!" Dipper argued. "He won't hurt Hunter, he won't go back to the Demon Realm to finish what he started and most importantly, Pacifica will be resting in piece without him roaming about!"
"So this is what you're going to do?!" Willow asked in anger. "You're just going to be so obsessed with killing someone that it's hurting people you care about! Including Hunter! You're just becoming Belos!"
In that moment, Dipper punched a tree in anger, causing it to shake like it was hit by an earthquake tremor. "DON'T YOU COMPARE ME TO BELOS! Clearly Hunter is out of commission while you two clearly don't wish to come with me. Mabel?"
Instead, Mabel narrowed her eyes with disappointment at her brother. "Dipper, if you want to hunt Belos, you go ahead. You broke Pacifica's promise to keep him safe anyway."
The author looked to the unconscious teen with a hint of guilt as he remembered the promise Luz relayed back to him. Pacifica's last words specifically.
But right now, Dipper was so caught up on his revenge that he didn't say anything about his guilt. So instead, he ran off to find Belos.
Wendy and Mabel were narrowing their eyes at Dipper while Willow was hugging Hunter's unconscious body.
Wendy broke the uncomfortable silence. "Man, Dipper lost himself. But he can making standing in the rain without a shirt on kind of hot." Mabel narrowed her eyes at Wendy, not really liking her inappropriate timing.
Meanwhile, Dipper was running in the forest, hunting for any sign of Belos. His rage was overtaking him and there was no turning back this time. He was angry and out for vengeance, he was ready to kill Belos.
He jumped over rocks, vaulted over logs, ran through mud and swung on branches before landing firmly on his feet.
He continued running where he began to see hallucinations of things he was haunted by. One of them was Preston Northwest. "You couldn't even protect my daughter! I knew she was never good for you!"
"Beat it Preston!" He shoved him out of his way and continued running in the rain.
Suddenly, he ran into zombie Pacifica again who looked angry and upset with her still alive boyfriend. "Dipper, why didn't you save Hunter? He is seriously hurt because of you! Do you want this to happen to Mabel or Wendy next?" She lifted up her shirt to reveal her stab wound on her abdomen which was leaking blood. Dipper was shocked but he quickly got back to chasing after Belos.
A few minutes later, he was now sliding down a hill where he heard the sound of metal clanking. He looked to the right where he saw Yohan sliding down next to him.
The supposedly deceased newt General caught a knife in his hand before he threw it at Dipper, causing it to hit his shoulder.
He crashed at the bottom of the hill without Yohan following for whatever reason. He pulled the knife out of his bare shoulder and began to apply pressure on to it to stop the bleeding.
He used his free hand to tear off a part of his jeans and tied it around his bleeding shoulder which luckily helped stopped it get any worst but he would still need some medical attention.
When he stood up, he saw Luz with her scar on her eyebrow. She looked depressed and appeared to be narrowing her eyes at Dipper.
"Why didn't you come Dipper?" She asked. "You realise that I blame myself for Pacifica's death?" Dipper got a look at her arms and saw that there appeared to be some scars on each one. This sight made Dipper worry with fear. "Because of your lack of help, I blame myself for Pacifica's death. Look at what that's caused." He saw that there was also a scar on her neck, causing him a massive amount of worry before he felt someone tap him on his back.
He turned around and stabbed the person in the front. But this person turned out to be a beast. And not just any beast, it was Eda in her Owl Beast form. The same one who gave him the scratches on his back.
The beast snarled as it oozed dark green blood before it backhanded Dipper into a tree. He crashed hard into the big tree, causing a huge amount of scratches and splinters all over his body.
He stood up, blood coming from his mouth as he did. He walked forward and stopped after a few paces where he saw Belos in his monster form, narrowing his eyes at him.
"I have waited too long, Dipper." Belos said.
"So have I." Dipper retorted.
"I'll finally kill you." Belos said as his hand turned into an axe in one hand while he held the dagger in the other. He grinned sinisterly whereas Dipper looked tired and determined.
Dipper unsheathed his energy sword and activated it. He and Belos had a bit of a stare down before the two gave a loud and mighty roar and began charging towards each other.
Back at the Shack, Willow was sitting next to Hunter, whom had just woken up from his slumber and was wearing a bandage on his head.
Willow handed Hunter a nice cup of warm cocoa to heal himself and to warm himself up. "Here you go." Willow said as Hunter took it from her hands.
"Thanks." Hunter took a small sip from his cup. "Is Dipper okay?"
"He's still out there hunting Belos." Willow replied. "He'll be back home in a moment."
"And you let him?" Hunter asked.
"We would have chased him." Willow said. "But he took it too far after you got hurt."
"Yeah….Okay." Hunter wanted to be worried about Dipper finding Belos but for some reason, he wasn't. "I'm worried for Dipper, Willow. But not as worried as I am for him for some reason." Flapjack flew on his shoulder and began tweeting.
"What do you mean?" Willow asked while Clover landed on her shoulder and began buzzing in her owner's ears.
"Yeah Flapjack, I agree." Hunter began thinking. "It's weird that he didn't try to kill me when he had the chance. I wasn't a target to him but more like a distraction for Dipper."
Wendy walked in, tending to her wound on her stomach which she just finished stitching up. "Trying to get him out of the way in order to get to you, probably. And that blood was hard to clean off. It also looked like Clyde's blood."
"But he seemed very interested with Dipper." Willow said. "And Clover said that Belos never felt like Belos and neither did Boscha or the illusion of my dads."
"Flapjack says the same thing about Butcher's head." Hunter said. "Like, it didn't feel like an illusion but they were there but not there at the same time."
Mabel entered with a can of soda in her hand. "Is this one of these riddles? I'm way too dumb for those."
"Come on Mabel, don't say that about yourself." Willow said, trying to give some confidence to Mabel.
"You must be good at something."
"Arts and crafts; Yes. Presenting an Remy nominated Kids Show; Yes." Mabel said, listing stuff. "I mean, you'd have to dig through my brain to find out what I'm good at."
In that moment, Hunter began to realise something shocking. Something horrifying. Something that was starting to make sense.
He began to think back to Dipper writing out loud in his journal and talking about Clyde digging through his friend's minds. Then, he remembered the white stuff Wendy found and then remembered the colour of Clyde's skin. Then, he remembered Belos and Yohan bleeding dark green blood which was the same colour as Clyde's as Wendy mentioned.
He thought back to when Flapjack and Clover shook in fear over Clyde when he had taken the form of Willow and how they did the same thing over Belos, Butcher's head, Boscha and Willow's Dads.
Then, he remembered Wendy mentioning the inconsistent tracks and thinking of Clyde shape changing into the people they encountered. Plus, how Clyde shape changed into Boscha before moving on to Hunter and changing into Butcher's head.
Then he thought to how Belos had this obsession with Dipper but he quickly remembered that Dipper knocked Clyde into a cryogenic pod many years ago. "Time for you to die, Pines!"
Hunter shot up from the couch in fear and panic. "Dipper isn't fighting Belos!"
"What?!" Everyone reacted.
"It's Clyde!" Hunter yelled.
"And it's also a pregnant woman trying to get some SLEEEP!" Melody shouted from upstairs, startling everyone.
"Sorry." Everyone said quietly.
Meanwhile, 'Belos' was throwing a disarmed, bloodied and Bruised Dipper about. Dipper tried throwing a punch but the monster only tore off his fake hand and tossed it aside before kicking him backwards.
He grabbed him by the back of his hair and began dragging him on the ground and tossing him into a log that shattered once he made impact.
Dipper stood up weakly and used his only hand to pull out his last laser blaster before he got disarmed by 'Belos' who snatched it out of his hand and crushed it in his hand.
Dipper tried throwing a punch but he got his fist caught by their hand and got slammed on the wet ground.
Once the monster let go, Dipper coughed up some mud and stared weakly at 'Belos' with exhaustion and sadness.
'Belos' grinned as he lifted Dipper up by his hair. "Listen here Dipper, I'm going to kill you. After everything you've done. Any last words?"
In that moment, Dipper began to grin as he realised something very important. "Hunter." He said.
'Belos' looked rather confused. "What?"
"Hunter. Your nephew."
"Yes, what about him?"
"You're meant to kill him after he betrayed you, right?" Dipper asked.
"What's your point?" 'Belos' asked.
"You had every opportune moment to kill him." Dipper said. "Right then and there! But you never did, except, it was always me. From the beginning, it was me! It was me, all along! And you act like I had ruined your life? What about Luz? Hunter? The Collector? Or all the other witches? Why am I suddenly so special?" 'Belos' looked baffled and awkwardly looked to his side while Dipper grinned. "Then I thought about how you bled dark green blood, how Yohan bled dark green blood and how the Owl Beast bled dark green blood. And then I remembered, someone else who bled dark green blood. A certain shapeshifter. A certain shapeshifter who I've been looking for." He grinned a mocking grin while 'Belos' looked shocked and surprised. "Hello Clyde."
'Belos' in his anger tossed Dipper in anger before he shape changed back into Clyde, whom was snarling in anger. "So you figured it out?"
Dipper smiled. "I did. Should have noticed it sooner. But I must say, you played me good. Nice job with all those illusions. The Pacifica zombie, Belos, Preston and Luz."
Clyde looked confused about the last one. "Yeah…."
"And I suppose that mind violation you did to my friends and sister, was a mind reading thing so you can gain new forms?" Dipper asked.
"Precisely!" He replied. "It's an evolutionary thing. But enough talk, it's time for your demise! Unless you wish to continue to fight?"
Instead of continuing to lay there on the spot, the heavily beaten author slowly stood up and clenched his fist. He narrowed his eyes at Clyde. "I can do this all night." He said.
Clyde narrowed his eyes at Dipper before he snarled. "This is going to be fun. You do realise you're going to die?"
"It's okay. I know I'm not gonna make it." Dipper said before he noticed something funny behind Clyde. "You know I'm dead anyway. I can see the light."
"Huh? Light?" The confused shapeshifter turned around and saw something horrifying. "No! No! Not you! Not you!"
In front of the two, was a giant glowing white wolf. It was the great white wolf that shined as bright as the sun.
"No! No!" Clyde tried to run away, but it appeared to have froze in place. "NO! You can't do this to me! You will never do this to me!" Then, Clyde's veins started to glow a very dark green before he screamed in pain before he blew up into dark green.
Dipper was baffled by the sight but was also tired after fighting and chasing after someone whom he thought was Belos and collapsed.
As his vision faded, he saw the White Wolf approach him. He wasn't so sure what it was planning to do, but it suddenly spoke to him with a soft and gentle voice.
"We will see each other again, Pines." It said in a soft and gentle voice before he passed out.
A while later, Dipper woke up back in the Shack. As soon as he recognised where he was, he shot up from the couch.
He painted as he tried to assess his surroundings. He saw that he was in the living room and it appeared to be bright outside, possibly morning.
He removed the blanket from himself and saw that there was some stitches on his shoulder from his stab wound and he had a bunch of bandages and band aids wrapped around himself. He looked at his hands and noticed that his fake hand was back on. Before he was about to touch the palm of his hand Wendy, Mabel, Hunter and Willow suddenly walked in.
"Dipper!" Mabel instantly ran to her brother and gave him a hug which he returned.
"Mabel!"
"Hey dude, you okay?" She asked. "You were quite beaten last night."
He groaned as he held on to his side. "Not really. But I'll be fine. Hope I don't have damaged ribs. How did you find me?"
"We were lucky." Wendy said.
"Yeah, we spent hours looking for you." Willow said. "But surprisingly, we did find you. Covered in mud, injured and unconscious. And thankfully, we found your hand."
"That's all that matters." Dipper said.
"Wait, why?" Hunter asked.
"Hunter, I just want to say, I'm sorry for letting you get hurt." Dipper said. "I was just so caught up in my vengeance that I didn't think of you and Willow. You aren't hurt, right?"
"I understand your anger and rage." Hunter said. "I would have done the same if I were in your shoes."
"But we do apologise for leaving you out in the rain." Willow said. "We shouldn't have done that."
"Yeah dude, it was harsh on our part." Wendy said.
"But where's Clyde?" Mabel asked. "We found a blob of dark green liquid."
"He blew up." Dipper replied. "The big white wolf did it."
"How?" Wendy asked.
"Did it have a bazooka?" Mabel asked.
"A wolf with a bazooka?!" Hunter exclaimed. "That sounds awesome! What's a bazooka?"
"No, I think it blew him up with its mind." Dipper said. "I don't know. I think I might have been losing my mind due to the blood loss."
"Well, I think you need to have a rest." Mabel said. "So go ahead Dipper. We'll leave you alone in privacy."
"Thanks guys." Dipper said.
His three friends and sister began to walk away to let Dipper rest. "Hey, a bazooka sounds cool. Can I have one?"
Wendy froze. "Uh…..We'll think about it."
Once everyone left, Dipper began to think back to last night and all the things Clyde took on. He couldn't believe they were the work of one shapeshifter. But then, he thought back to one distracting moment. He remembered seeing Luz with scars on her neck and arms and then being attacked by Clyde as the Owl Beast.
In that moment, he began to wonder, how could he be at two places at once? Let alone, right near him. Then he remembered what Soos said about the forests showing anyone their worst fear. But how was Luz his worst fear?
She doesn't exactly scare him. But then he remembered how Pacifica said it was his fault she died and Luz now feels guilt because of his lack of involvement in the Demon Realm.
This made Dipper realise, he had a fear he didn't know he had. It was Luz's guilt and the consequences that could come across of it. And it was all because of him.
