Marcy's journal, August 31st. Where do I even begin? For starters, the green shared is still with me despite the fact the Core has me possessed so I guess that's a good thing. But everyday, I feel them getting stronger. I'm doing my best to suppress them but I know it's a losing battle. I don't know what I'm going to do. I mean every fun thing we did over the summer I felt was losing myself. Theatre, at home writing FanFiction and family reunions, I felt the Core was slowly taking over. I don't know what I'm going to do today. But since it's very hot in Gravesfield today, maybe things might be better? Oh wait, they live in Amphibia. Noooooo!
In the living room of the Noceda residence, everyone was having their own reactions to the hottest day in all of Gravesfield.
Luz was rubbing a popsicle all over herself, Amity had dunked her head in a mini pool, Marcy was laying face first in the carpet, Vee was laying on the couch with a cold drink by her side, Masha has tied their shirt into a knot in order to cool themselves off but it wasn't doing them favours while K was busy investigating some random case despite the heat and the fact he was wearing a long sleeved shirt.
"Uh….." Luz groaned.
"All in favour of dying, say 'uh…..' and raise your hand." M everyone but K did what Masha said and made loud groaning noises.
"Why is the Human Realm so hot?!" Amity exclaimed.
"Amity…..I need another popsicle!" Luz pleaded.
"Luz….I'm overdressed….I can't move." Amity cried.
"Babe, you're wearing a short sleeved shirt and ripped jeans." Luz pointed out.
K arrived from the kitchen with a popsicle in his hand. "Here you go."
Luz snatched it out of his hand and instantly tore the wrapper off and began to rub it all over herself again.
"Luz….Could I have a bit?" Amity asked her girlfriend.
"Sorry Amity…" Luz looked at the empty stick. "….There's nothing. Just lick whatever's on my face."
"Okay." Amity began to lick her girlfriend's face in order to taste the popsicles that were still on her.
"Oh boy, I hope Camila doesn't come in." Masha chuckled. "She could take it the wrong way."
"How are you handling this K?" Vee asked. "Aren't you sweating?"
"Oh I am." K lifted up his shirt causing a bucket load of sweat to drop out. "But I've been in Death Valley for 24 hours before for a mission."
"What kind of missions require you to go to the hottest desert on the planet?" Marcy asked.
"Drug deal." K replied before taking a bite out of a donut.
Marcy groaned due to the heat while Darcy laughed. "Wow. This place is as hot as Amphibia. Man, it makes you just wanna kill everyone in this room doesn't it?" Marcy just tried to ignore them.
Marcy groaned. "Why did I decide to wear a jumper on a hot summer day?!"
"Oh come on, take it off and then choke someone to death with a sleeve." Darcy whined while Marcy took off her jumper to reveal her Anime shirt of a character who looked like a humanoid frog.
"Man it's so hot!" Masha whined.
"You know whining about it being hot isn't going to make things better." Marcy said.
"Well, what am I supposed to do when it's this hot?!" Masha asked. "Am I supposed to have a nice conversation with someone while it's this hot?! Or am I supposed to just bask in this heat that is causing me to sweat buckets?!"
"Do you know what I want?" Marcy asked.
"What?"
Then, Marcy leaped off the couch and grabbed them by their neck. "Woah! Marcy!" Vee exclaimed before Marcy jammed their fist right into Masha's belly, causing everyone to gasp.
"Masha!" K cried.
Marcy laughed sinisterly as the Core took over their mind, body and soul until…..She suddenly snapped out of it.
"Marcy? Marcy?" Masha snapped their fingers. "You okay? What would you do?"
"Huh?" Marcy reacted.
"You okay, Marcy?" Luz asked. "You just spaced out."
"Sorry." Marcy said. "You know, the beach. We could go to the beach."
"Yeah, we could." Luz agreed.
"Finally!" Camila had planted her head face first into a bowel of ice cream in an effort to cool herself off before she pulled it back up. "I have been waiting for someone to say something!"
"I would have suggested it, but I was far too busy to do so." K said.
"Well come on everyone, let's pack our swimsuits and have a magnificent beach day before September starts!" Luz exclaimed.
"Yeah!" Everyone agreed while standing up and raising their fists.
"Yeah, let's go!" Vee exclaimed before trying to pull herself off the couch. Turns out, she had been sitting on the couch in the hot sun for so long that her skin had managed to stick to the couch. "Uh….Mom."
Camila saw what had happened and sighed. "Don't worry Mija, I got you." She grabbed her daughter's wrists and began to pull at her but that didn't work.
"I got it." Amity summoned an Abomination knife and managed to cut through the fabric that had glued on to Vee's skin.
Later at the beach, Amity was inspecting Vee's back. She was currently in her human form in a yellow one piece swimsuit with a bit of couch still stuck on.
"You think you can get them off?" Vee asked. "There are some people here and I don't want them to get suspicious."
"It's hardly noticeable." Amity said. "Trust me, people will barley notice anything as weird as that." Amity then put an inflatable water ring around her waist. "Now if you excuse me." She began running toward the ocean to swim to her girlfriend.
Marcy, dressed in her green and orange swimsuit, was running a long the dock to perform a dive. "Move aside people, Marcy Wu is about to perform a record shattering dive. But while running, she accidentally stumbled. "Ow, splinter!" She suddenly tripped and tumbled into the ocean with a mighty splash. Marcy soon resurfaced and raised her fists in the air. "Wooo! Did anyone see that dive or…Was no one watching at all?" She looked to see that everyone in the sea weren't even watching at all, they were just doing their own things.
Luz and Amity were splashing water, Vee was exploring the sea creatures while Masha and K were floating on their backs. Masha in a pair of swimming trunks and a cropped shirt while K was strangely dressed in his regular clothes.
Masha looked to their cousin with a baffled look. "Uh K, not that I'm judgemental but why are you dressed in your regular clothing?"
"I'm not in my regular clothes." K responded. "These are my swimming clothes."
"But they just look like your regular clothes."
"I don't know what you're talking about." K said.
Meanwhile, Luz and Amity were currently splashing water on each other while laughing. "Luz! You're getting water in my hair! You're gonna expose my ears!"
"Okay, I'll go easy on you." Luz said before getting a wave of water splashed on her face. "Blight!"
"Catch me if you can, Noceda." Amity said before swimming away from her girlfriend whom was getting very competitive.
On the shore, Camila was resting on a deckchair watching everyone just getting along and hanging out with each other. She smiled at the sight of what she kind of considered her kids. They come here so often that she considered them family in a way.
K walked on the shore and sat down on the sand next to her. "So K, what case are you working on? Is it the animal case?"
"If it were any other state then I would have assumed it was hunting." K said. "But, last I checked, it was wrong to hunt for strayed dogs. So I don't think these are the works of some hunter…."
While K was explaining the disturbing case, everyone was having a good time in the ocean. Amity had decided to take a break from splashing Luz and went to relax with Masha and Vee by chatting to each other about romance.
Luz and Marcy were just floating together splashing water on each other's faces. "Okay, Luz!" Marcy got water in her face as she laughed. "Okay! You win!"
Luz gave a smug smirk as she flipped her messy hair. "Sure did."
"Hey, you're smiling again." Marcy remarked.
"I am?" Luz asked as she touched her lips. "Yeah. I guess I am."
"I mean, I'm surprised you are." Marcy said. "I heard from Amity you were feeling very down. You were barley your enthusiastic and energetic self."
"Well, it's just been a bit rough." Luz said. "You know, everything is just so intense and scary."
In that moment, Marcy's friendly smile suddenly began to have sinister undertones. "Of course it is. I mean, willingly leaving the Demon Realm to fight for Amphibia, gaining my powers and then abandoning the Demon Realm in its time of need. What kind of selfish person are you?"
Luz stared at Marcy in shock over the words that were coming out of her mouth. She always knew that Marcy was good natured and would never hurt her like that. Especially saying something like this.
"What are you saying?" Luz asked.
"Come on Luz, I know the guilt you feel, I know of the pain you feel like you're causing everyone on the Isles misery, I know you feel like people don't particularly feel happy to be around you and I know you feel like killing yourself everyday."
Luz stared at Marcy in horror and terror as tears fell from her eyes. "Marcy, why are you saying these things?"
"You know, if you're so desperate to die, how about I give you a nice quick death?" Marcy then grabbed Luz by her shoulders and began to put pressure on to them.
When Marcy dunk Luz into the sea, she began to struggle to breathe as Marcy forced her deeper into the sea while no one on the surface was helping her since they were too busy doing their own thing.
As Luz struggled to catch her breath due to the water filling up her lungs, she saw for a brief moment Marcy's eyes glowing orange but that was probably a hallucination she was seeing as she drowned.
She closed her eyes as she felt her conscious lose herself while Darcy just grinned. Suddenly, Darcy got scratched in her arm by Amity with an Abomination sword.
While Darcy held on to her bleeding arm, Amity carried her girlfriend back to the surface. Vee and Masha swam to where Amity was carrying her unconscious girlfriend.
"Is she okay?" Vee asked.
"Get Camila, fast!" Amity yelled. Masha and Vee nodded their heads before swimming back to shore to get Camila and K's help.
Back on shore, K and Camila were still talking about the case. "…..Something like this happened around nine to ten years ago and the suspect to that was…."
"Camila, K!" Masha yelled as they ran up to them with Vee following behind.
Camila and K noticed the panicked looks on their faces. "Masha, Vee, what's wrong?!" Her heart dropped as soon as she looked over the couple's shoulders to see Amity carrying Luz to shore. "Luz!"
She ran toward them with tears falling from her eyes, fearing the worst. K soon followed looking as concerned as Camila.
"Luz!" Amity exclaimed to her unconscious girlfriend, trying to wake her up. "Luz!"
When Marcy came to shore, she felt disoriented and like she had fallen off a speed boat. For the last few minutes, her memory was a blank. "What even happened?" She noticed the cut on her arm and sighed. "Dang it! I hope it isn't a stingray." She looked up to see everyone surrounding the unconscious Luz, causing them to panic. "Luz!"
K was busy performing CPR on Luz while everyone around her stared at her fearfully with Camila and Amity's tears already playing up.
K performed 30 chest compressions and then two mouth-to-mouths. "Come on, Luz! Come on!"
Then, some nosey beach goer with a camera took a picture. "What's going on?" He asked.
"She got a cramped and got saved by her girlfriend." K said. "Now leave!" The man left the scene.
"Why are humans so nosey?" Vee asked Masha.
"Some people, I suppose." Masha replied. "Hope he wasn't a journalist."
After another thirty chest compressions, Luz coughed up some water and began panting so she could get her breath.
"Luz!" Amity exclaimed with relief.
"Mija!" Camila yelled. "Are you okay?!"
"Give her some space!" K demanded as he pulled Luz up to make sure her back was straight. "Are you okay, Luz?" He began to pat her back as means to make sure she was coughing up the remaining water in her lung.
"Yeah." Luz coughed. "I think so."
"What happened?" Camila asked. "Did you get a cramp?"
"No." Luz replied. "It happened so fast. I was talking to…."
"Marcy!" Amity exclaimed angrily while narrowing her eyes at her.
"Guys, what happened?" Marcy asked. "Also, did you bring a first aid kit? I think a stingray got me." But when she got to close to everyone, Amity stood up on her feet and punched Marcy so hard that she flew backwards.
"Amity!" Camila exclaimed in shock. "What is this?!"
"Marcy attacked Luz!" Amity replied angrily.
"What?!" Camila, Vee and Masha exclaimed in shock.
"Marcy?" Vee responded.
"That's unlikely." Masha remarked.
"How can you be so sure?" Camila asked. "Mija, was Marcy attacking you?"
"I don't know." Luz replied. "I mean physically it was Marcy but it didn't feel like Marcy." K raised his eyebrows at that statement. "But before she began to drown me, she was saying some things she wouldn't say."
"Luz, at one point, did Marcy's eyes glow orange?" K asked.
"Yeah, why?"
Suddenly, they began to hear the sound of Marcy screaming. They looked to see her flaying her entire body about while holding on to her head. Sand flew everywhere as her body continually lifted and crashed on the ground. "Aaaaaahhhhh!"
The group stared at her with worry and fear as she screaming in what sounded like very agonising pain. "Aahhh!" When she opened her eyes, they briefly glowed a sinister orange.
"What's happening to her?" Vee asked with worry.
"I don't know." Luz replied. "But we should definitely take her home."
"You read my mind, Mija." Camila remarked before running toward Marcy.
The comment about Luz apparently reading Camila's mind raised Amity's brow. "Wait Luz, you can read minds? Humans can read minds?!"
On the car journey back to Gravesfield, Marcy was relatively quiet as she laid in the backseat, staring out the window looking as dead as a corpse.
Luz sat in the front seat so Camila could keep her on her and to keep her close. K and Amity were in the back seat sitting close to Marcy while Vee and Masha were in the very back.
"This seems like a great idea, one hour car ride with Marcy." Amity remarked sarcastically.
"Amity, we don't know for sure what's going on with Marcy." Camila chided the girl. "But she's been quiet for the last 20 minutes." Then Marcy made a groaning noise.
"Well, until now." Masha remarked.
"K, after you saved me, you asked me if Marcy's eyes glowed orange?" Luz said. "Why does that worry you?"
"Because I noticed her eyes glowing orange." K replied. "I might be stretching, but I have a hunch that Marcy is possessed."
"Possessed?!" Camila exclaimed in shock.
"It's a stretch." K said. "But I have noticed her eyes glowing orange a few times, she blanks out a few times and now after hearing what Luz says, seems to raise my suspicion."
"She can't be possessed again." Amity said. "And if she is, then it can't be the Core because Anne destroyed them."
"But Marcy told us that the Core was made out of the greatest minds in all of Amphibia." Luz pointed out. "What if they're a lot smarter than we thought?"
"Again Luz, it's just a theory." K said. "Not all of them are true."
"So you don't think it's likely?" Vee asked.
"I don't want it to be likely." K said. "Marcy, are you by any chance possessed?" Marcy just stared at him in silence.
"Marcy, he asked if you were okay." Masha said to her.
But instead of responding, Marcy just turned their head to them and just stared like them and Vee were very far away. Then, in an unexpected turn of events, Marcy threw up black vomit in their direction.
This caused Camila's car to swerve in a crazy direction which made other drivers almost drive off course. One of the cars belonging to a family. One, a man of Hawaiian descent, the other a Caucasian woman and their eleven year old daughter with red glasses.
"What was that?" The husband asked. "Hailey, you okay?"
"I'm sorry dear, did you say, if we had twin boys, you want to name them Dwayne and Johnson?" The woman asked.
Later at the Wu residence, they had put Marcy in her bedroom and Camila and K sat down in the living area to explain the situation to the parents.
Masha walked downstairs dressed in a dressing gown and with a towel on their head since they had a shower. "Anyway Wus, thanks for letting me use your shower." Masha said.
"Our pleasure dear." Mrs Wu assured them.
"So, do you want to explain what happened?" Mr Wu asked Camila. "Our daughter lost her mind?"
"I don't know." K responded. "I'm just praying she's just sick. But…My logic doesn't like to stick with my gut feeling."
"So my daughter is possessed?!" Mrs Wu exclaimed.
"But….The Core is dead!" Mr Wu pointed out.
"Yes, there's a 50% chance that the Core might have possibly found a way to survive." K said. "If I were assimilated to the Core it would have made sense."
"But if Marcy is possessed, what do we do?" Masha asked. "We can't perform an exorcism."
"Oh I have." K said. "I've had encounters with a bunch of priests in the Vatican who have told me very detailed stories about exorcising. Some of them had a few errors when they retold me a few times. But…." He pulled out his laptop and began typing. "Huh, that's funny. I don't remember my profile being open. Hmm, I'll get back to that later. I learnt how to be an exorcist during my stay in the Vatican and all I need is holy water, anything that resembles a cross and a bible. But….Different religions have different ways of performing exorcisms. So….This is going to be difficult to narrow down."
"It could be Boiling Isles." Masha theorised.
"What makes you think that?" Mrs Wu asked.
"I saw Amity taking your candles when I got out the shower." Masha replied.
In Marcy's bedroom, Marcy was unconscious while tied by her limbs with a circle drawn on her forehead and a line of candles around her bed.
Amity stood in front of Marcy's bed drawing a magical circle while Luz and Vee stood beside her. Vee being in her basilisk form and constantly drying herself with a towel and spraying all sorts of perfume on her.
"Uh, I swear I'm never gonna get that stench off." Vee complained.
"Sweet Potato, are you sure a Bodywalker exorcism is going to work?" Luz asked her girlfriend. "We don't know what's wrong with Marcy."
"Also, I wasn't the circle supposed be drawn by the midriff?" Vee asked.
"If it's a full possession, then it's head." Amity explained. "They're usually the hardest since they need to be silent and unresponsive. Thankfully Marcy is."
"Okay Mi Amor, good luck." Luz kissed her girlfriend on the cheek.
Amity closed her eyes, inhaled through her nose and drew a spell circle. "Out of the body, Bodywalker. Walk away to bother someone else no more. The power of Titan, compels you! Out of the body, Bodywalker. Walk away to bother someone else no more. The power of Titan, compels you! Out of the body, Bodywalker. Walk away to bother someone else no more. The power of Titan, compels you!" Amity chanted but nothing was happening. The head wasn't pulsating as a sign that they weren't being freed.
"What makes you think Marcy was even bitten?" Vee asked Amity.
"Because I was searching Marcy's head and I noticed the bites on her head."
Vee jumped on Marcy's bed and looked through her scalp and exhaled. "Amity, those are just mosquito bites. Not Bodywalkers."
"Oh." Amity chuckled nervously. "So, not Bodywalker?"
"I don't know." Vee replied. "Maybe Marcy's actually sick."
While Vee and Amity spoke, Luz looked at Marcy's calendar and saw what today was. It was August 31st, Dipper and Mabel's birthday.
"Huh, I forgot it was Mabel and Dipper's birthday." Luz remarked. "We were about give them a FaceTime call." Luz pulled out Marcy's laptop just as the girl began to wake up.
Vee quickly slithered off the bed in case she was going to attack. "Uh oh."
"Uh….Guys?" Marcy reacted. "Why am I tied to my bed?"
"Just in case." Luz replied. "A bunch of people think you might be possessed."
"What?!" Marcy exclaimed. "Who thinks that?! Is the Pope here?"
"Actually, K says so." Vee replied. "Though he claims it's just a theory."
"Hey Marcy, it's Dipper and Mabel's birthday, do you mind telling me the password to your laptop?" Luz asked.
"NoneYerBusiness2." Marcy replied.
"Okay, that's fair." Luz said.
"No, it is the password."
Luz typed in the password and smiled. "Ha! It is."
"Okay Marcy, if you aren't possessed, why did you try and drown Luz?" Amity asked.
"I tried to drown Luz?!" Marcy exclaimed in shock. "What are you talking about?!"
"You did Marcy." Luz responded. "You started saying some mean things to me, things that made me really upset."
"What did you say?" Amity asked with a stern expression that made Marcy sweat.
"I don't know what you're talking about!" The distressed Marcy exclaimed. "Ask Luz."
"Luz, what did Marcy say to you?" Vee asked.
Luz clenched her fists. "I…Don't wish to say."
"I'll make you say." Amity made an Abomination fist in an effort to punch Marcy, until Vee intervened.
"Amity, this is not going to work!" Vee said.
"Maybe we might knock whatever's inside her, out." Amity argued.
"But it won't work." Vee said. "Unless, it's some kind of magical being." Vee tried to suck whatever magic was inside of Marcy but there wasn't any. "No magic."
"We'll try this again." Amity said. "What did you say to Luz, Marcy?"
"I don't quite remember." Marcy replied weakly. "I said to her that she abandoned everyone and left them to suffer at the hands of a powerful tyrant." Luz hung her head until Marcy suddenly turned her eyes at Vee. "Oh wait, that's Vee. Least you haven't had thoughts about killing yourself." This mention of suicidal thoughts in her girlfriend made Amity gasp.
Luz stood up and narrowed her eyes at Marcy. "Marcy! Shut up!"
Amity turned to Luz. "Luz, why does Marcy say you've been wanting to kill yourself?"
Vee however was horrified by what Marcy had said. "Marcy?"
"Look, I'll get back to Luz in a minute, Vee, what about those other basilisks? The ones that were left behind in the Demon Realm?" Marcy chuckled as she had her eyes shut. "Number Four, Number Three, Number Two and Number One. What happened to them? You left with them right?" She chuckled. "Why didn't you tell them about the door to the Human Realm when you had the chance?"
Tears began to fall from her eyes as Marcy continued to talk. "I….Never thought….Of them."
"Well, survival turns us arrogant." Marcy laughed. "Doesn't it Vee?"
"You need to shut up, Marcy!" Amity demanded.
"Marcy isn't here right now…" She opened her eyes revealing them to be orange. "….Would you like to leave a message?" She laughed sinisterly causing Vee, Amity and Luz to stare at her with fear in the eyes. Then, Marcy got out of the straps and tried to attack Luz and Vee until Amity grabbed her from the arm and began wrestling with her.
"Do not provoke me!" Marcy exclaimed. "Do not provoke me!"
"Go!" Amity commanded to her girlfriend and future sister-in-law. Luz and Vee ran out the room to get help from everyone downstairs.
In the living room, K was talking to the Wus about Masha's pronouns. "….Though their parents sometimes get their pronouns wrong."
Suddenly, Luz and Vee arrived, panicking. "Mom, Vee!"
"It's Marcy!" Vee yelled. "She's gone crazy!"
Camila and K gave each other concerned looks before running up the stairs to deal with Marcy while the concerned Wus tried to follow.
"Mr and Mrs Wu, stay here." Masha commanded. "I don't think your presence might help right now."
Upstairs, Camila and K barged in to see Marcy choking Amity with her hands. "Do not provoke me! Do not provoke me! Do not provoke me!"
"Marcy!" K and Camila grabbed the possessed girl before tossing her on the bed in an attempt to restrain her.
"Amity, what's going on?" Camila asked her possible future daughter-in-law.
"Marcy's possessed." Amity replied. "But I don't know by what." Suddenly, she heard a call coming from Marcy's laptop and ran to answer it. "It's Ford and Anne!"
"Talk to them!" K commanded while he and Camila restrained the rabid Marcy.
"Do not provoke me!" Marcy screamed in a cybernetic voice. "Do not provoke me! Do not provoke me!"
"What are you?!" K asked. "If you are not Marcy then what are you?!"
"Come on K, you're meant to be smart right?" Marcy laughed. "You're the smartest one in the room. Or are you? Because if I recall, you can't solve the death of your parents."
K instead of being provoked, gripped on to her a bit tighter. "Nice try, you think provoking me is going to help you escape?!"
"This might." Suddenly, Marcy contorted her body and managed to free herself from the respective adults grips and kicking them in the face.
K tried to grab her but then she grabbed his head and slammed his head into the bed. Then, she jumped on her wall and began to crawl on it like a spider.
She then turned her head to 90 degrees to look at Amity whom was communicating with Anne and Ford on the computer. When she saw Anne, she hissed angrily and lunged at Amity.
She tackled the witch to the floor, causing the laptop to shatter on impact. She tried to strangle Amity with her bare hands but then, Amity kicked her off of her.
Marcy snarled like a vicious animal as she grabbed a nearby glass of water and smashed it on the table. But instead of a bit breaking, it completely shattered.
"Ow!" Marcy looked at her bleeding hand and then grinned. "You know, back when I was just a hive mind stuck in a machine, I didn't need to worry about pain."
In that moment, Amity froze in fear as she finally put the pieces together. The orange eyes and the mention of being a hive mind, this could mean one thing. This wasn't Marcy, it was the Core.
"No. Anne destroyed you." Amity said.
"Well, a computer always has a fail safe. So why can't I?" Darcy was about to attack Amity again but then got knocked out with a vase to the head.
Darcy collapsed to reveal Luz to be the one that did the deed. The human witch panted as she quickly moved to Amity and hugged her.
"Amity? Are you okay?" Luz asked her girlfriend.
But instead of responding, Amity gave her girlfriend a worried look and asked, "Are you okay?"
Vee, Masha and the Wus entered the room to see their daughter unconscious on the floor. They gasped at what they saw.
"Marcy!" Mrs Wu exclaimed.
"That's not your daughter anymore." Amity said.
"What do you mean?" Mr Wu asked.
"She's under the control of the thing that took over her in Amphibia." Luz replied.
"The Core?!" The Wus exclaimed.
"No! But it was destroyed!" Mrs Wu exclaimed in disbelief.
"Apparently it survived." Masha remarked. "K, what do we do?"
"Hmmm, I never dealt with possession via cybernetic hive mind before." K replied while Camila checked on Marc. "But….We're going to try."
"How do we even know Marcy is still in there?" Vee asked. "What if they have taken over her?"
"I don't think so." Camila said. "Look, in her iris." The group looked into her iris to see a message written in it. There was a message glowing. It read 'Help me.' In some way, Marcy was still inside them.
"Marcy?!" Mrs Wu exclaimed. "Marcy!"
"She can't communicate, but she's probably listening." K theorised. "We need to give her some encouragement to fight it."
"Do you expect some encouraging words from everyone around her to help?" Masha asked. "Well, least it isn't the power of love."
Later, Marcy was cuffed to the bed only Marcy wasn't in control, it was Darcy. They laughed as they struggled to break out of K's cuffs.
"You think these cuffs can hold me forever?!" They laughed sinisterly while K, Luz, Camila, Amity, Vee, Masha and the Wus watched on.
"Well, these are my toughest ones so the only way you'll get out is by chopping off your limbs." K replied.
"Well, I can just dislocate my limbs before sticking the bone back in." Darcy said.
"I anticipate that idea." K replied. "So, you're going to do as I say."
"Nope, I think I'd rather talk to Masha." Darcy laughed.
"About what?" Masha asked with their arms folded.
"Masha, they're going to try and get in your head." Luz warned them.
"They can try." Masha retorted.
"Don't let them provoke you dear cousin." K said.
"Your parents love you right?" Darcy asked.
"Of course they do."
"And they respect your gender pronouns?"
Masha was quick to see what they were doing. "I know what you're doing. You may be smart but even the smartest can slip up. Yes, they get my pronouns wrong but they still love me. They're just getting used to it."
Darcy laughed. "You're in denial. You feel every time they get your pronouns wrong you feel like you aren't respected. You feel as though….Wait, are you on your phone?"
Masha chuckled. "Oh, you don't think it was going to work on me did you? After upsetting my girlfriend, I'm not even going to attack you, because I know that's what you want."
"Still can't believe you're dating that thing."
Masha's eyes narrowed and they clenched their fists. "What did you say about my girlfriend?!" They tried to lunge toward them but then Camila grabbed them. "Let me at them! Let me at them! I'll kill you!"
"Camila, Vee please escort Masha out. They are not helping." K said.
Camila and Vee did just that and escorted Vee's partner out of the bedroom. "Well, least I got rid of them." Darcy said. "They honestly creeped me out with how well they could read people."
"Okay Darcy, I'm going to start asking you questions before we try and free Marcy." K said. "Sound fair?"
"Why?" Mr Wu asked. "We should try and free her."
"I want to know things about the Core and how long they had Marcy in their grasp." K replied. "We might even have information."
"Great!" Darcy laughed. "Because there is so much I wish to tell them!"
"Explain, how long have you been in Marcy?" K asked.
Darcy shrugged their shoulders. "Well, I had a thought that Marcy might break out of my control. So, I placed a little chip in her brain with my conscious inside and I also uploaded a bit of my conscious into a random robot."
"Chyro?!" Luz exclaimed with worry.
"Who?" Darcy asked with confusion. "Is that the name of the robot in the Demon Realm?"
"Wait, there's one more of you in the Demon Realm?!" Amity exclaimed in shock. "What is it doing?"
"You'll see." Darcy laughed.
"Marcy, can you hear me, sweetie?" Mrs Wu asked with worry. "You need to fight back!"
"Mr and Mrs Wu, let me do the talking." K said. "Okay, why did you wait long to attack us?"
"Oh, taking her body was a slow process." Darcy replied. "But, I got stronger and more powerful than her. Not even the power of friendship from Anne and Sasha could save her."
"Marcy!" Mr Wu shouted. "Get out, please!"
"Mr Wu!" K retorted. "Please!"
"How is learning about this thing inside my daughter supposed to help?!" Mr Wu asked angrily while Vee, Camila and Masha entered the room after they calmed down.
"Mr Wu, you just have to trust him." Masha said to him. "He is one of the FBI's best."
"Do you have any questions you want to ask them?" K asked everyone in the room.
"How about I ask the questions this time?" Darcy suggested. "Firstly, Mr and Mrs Wu, do you think your daughter feels loved by you?"
"Of course she does." Mr Wu said. "We're her parents."
"Don't you think that this possession is in sort of way, your fault?" Darcy asked them.
"Wus…." K chided them. "Don't let them mock you."
"Mock?!" Darcy laughed. "I'm just asking them question."
"No! It's your fault!" Mrs Wu argued. "You were the one that possessed my daughter!"
"Haven't you heard of the domino effect?" Darcy asked. "If daddy didn't accept that job about of state and didn't just sprung it out of nowhere then Marcy wouldn't be so terrified and run away to motivate Anne to steal that box that landed them in Amphibia where I took over Marcy after Andrias stabbed her and then Anne wouldn't have died. So everything that has happened, happened because of you two."
Mr and Mrs Wu were about to argue but the longer they thought about what they said, they realised that they might be right.
"Wus, don't let them get to you." K said. "You had no idea it would lead to this."
"You're right, the world almost ended because of them." They laughed. "Now, they'll lose their daughter."
Tears began to fall from the Wus eyes as their possessed daughter's words began to stick to them. "Oh, Marcy." Mrs Wu cried.
K just narrowed their eyes at them. "Enough!" K shouted in a rare moment of anger. "You're making everything worse!"
"Am I?" Darcy laughed again. "Just like how investigating your parent's death will make everything worse?"
In that moment, K stood up. "Do not say their names!"
"Martha and Jonathan Bratton." Darcy gasped. "Oh no, I said them." They laughed harder. "You know you can solve your parents death but you just don't want to because you don't want to relive that day again! I looked into your files. Really detailed stuff. And for someone who looks dead on the outside, you appear to have some sort of emotional side."
"Why won't you shut up?!" K exclaimed angrily as tears fell from his eyes.
Luz held him back with a sad look of her own. "K…You told us before…."
"Don't let me mess with you." Darcy just grinned. "Let's see, I told people your suicidal thoughts and your guilt. What else is there to say? Oh wait a tick, do you wanna know why Marcy never told anyone about me?"
"Why?" Luz responded. "We probably would have dealt with you sooner."
"It's because, I told Belos about the CATs plan." Darcy said.
In that moment, Luz stared at them with shock in her eyes. For months Luz never got an answer as to who betrayed the CATs but now she knows it was Darcy.
Amity narrowed their eyes at them angrily. "You….Monstrous beast!"
"Oh, I'm doing a good job at pissing you off." Darcy remarked. "But I know I'm going to piss you off the most when I get to you! But first, haven't you ever wondered about the shard?"
"You stole it?!" Vee exclaimed in shock. "Where is it you demon?!"
Luz checked the box where Marcy kept the shard and exhaled with relief. "Phew, it's still here."
"No it isn't." Darcy laughed. "That shard belongs to a jewellery store I robbed. I gave the real shard to someone special so they could watch over it."
"Who?!" Luz asked angrily. "Who are they?!"
Darcy smiled. "Wouldn't you like to know?"
Amity jumped on the bed and summoned an Abomination fist. "You better tell us!" K was about to grab Amity, but the witch girl just knocked him on his back by punch to the face. "Tell us now!"
"No." Darcy said. "But I can tell you about what I did to your Dad."
Amity stopped what she was about to do and froze in fear and worry. Sure her Dad allowed her mother to abuse and manipulate her, but they were just fixing things.
"Mija, they're trying to mess with you, don't let them!" Camila exclaimed.
"Sweet Potato…"
"What did you do to my Dad?!" Amity asked angrily.
"Oh you see, I captured him, I tortured him by making him put his back into it, I had him fight my robots and General Yohan…"
Luz froze. "Yohan? But he's dead."
"Don't interrupt me Luz, this is the best part." Darcy said. "And now Amity, your daddy is what Marcy is, a new host. And I will invade the Demon Realm once the Collector is done having his fun. And then, I will execute your siblings first, then your girlfriend and just to make you suffer, I will keep your mother alive! And maybe, I can give Yohan his own physical body."
"Enough!" Amity summoned an Abomination blade and was about to stab them. But then, they grabbed Amity by her head and then snapped her neck, causing everyone to gasp in horror.
"Amity!" Luz screamed.
Turns out, Darcy had managed to break out of their handcuffs and was now standing on the bed with their arms out like they were presenting themselves. "Guess who's back, bitches!"
K was about to tackle them, but then, they used their broken handcuff to impale him in the jugler, causing him to bleed out from his neck.
Vee then leaped toward him like a big cat but then, they jammed their fist in her mouth and pulled out her heart.
"Vee!" Masha screamed in horror. "No!"
Camila tried to restrain the possessed girl but then, they kicked her backward towards the corner of the desk, causing it to puncture the back of her head.
"Mami!" Luz screamed in horror.
Then, Darcy performed a superhuman jumped and landed in-between Masha and Luz then smashed their heads together, causing their demises.
They turned to the terrified Wus whom were hunched in the corner holding on to each other in terror and fear. "Marcy, please don't hurt us." Mrs Wu pleaded.
"Oh, I'm afraid Marcy will never come to the phone." Darcy laughed.
"Please don't kill us!" Mr Wu pleaded.
Darcy bent their head forward so they were making eye contact with the Wus. "I'm not going to kill you. I want you to witness your mistake walking about and killing everyone around them. I will even force you to bow before me and to others so that way people will know whose fault it is that their home was destroyed and enslaved."
They left the bedroom while the Wus cried even harder as they feared the horrors that were about to come to the world all because of them.
Downstairs, Darcy chuckled to themselves. "Now, on to Phase 2. Gravity Falls." In that moment, they saw a knife holder holding a bunch of knives on the kitchen counter.
They grinned at the sharp cutlery as an idea came to their head. "On second thought." They picked up a knife and grinned. "Maybe one more kill for the road will do." They walked back up the stairs for one more kill.
Then, their rampage across America began. They started in Gravity Falls where they killed Mabel by throwing her through the window, Wendy; Impaling her with her axe, Willow; Smashing her head to the ground, Ford; Disarming him before shooting him, Soos; Shooting him with Ford's laser, Hunter; Setting him on fire, Stan; Breaking every bone in his body and Chryo; Tearing his head off.
She finally got to Dipper, whom was wounded from their attack. They tried arm themselves but then, Darcy grabbed him by his neck and choked him to death. Then, they tore off his fake hand and smashed it to retrieve the shard. "There we go. Now Los Angeles."
When they got to LA, they had killed Grime by smashing his head in with his warhammer, Mr Boonchuy; Tossing his head into the TV, Mrs Boonchuy; Shoving a spatula in her chest, Gus; Impaled with cutlery and Mr X; Throat slit with a knife.
They stood by the defeated Anne and Sasha whom had both been impaled by Sasha's swords. They weakly struggled to hold on to what life remained in their system.
Darcy snatched the necklace from Sasha's neck and opened it to retrieve the red shard. "All too easy."
"Marcy…." Anne tried reaching out to her possessed friend as more blood oozed out of her body.
"Actually, Marcy's no longer with us." Darcy said. "She's been assimilated into me."
Anne and Sasha weakly held their hands out to Darcy in a last ditch effort to reach out to Marcy but they collapsed dead on the floor.
Darcy laughed as they regained the red shard. "It's time!"
Then, they arrived in the Demon Realm where they transferred the conscious of themselves in Alador into them while also gaining new armour similar to the one they wore on Amphibia.
Then, they destroyed the Collector with a powerful disintegration ray before moving on to King and then Yunan. "The last of the Titans is no more."
Then, finally, they made it to Amphibia where they killed Lady Olivia by slitting her throat with her scythe.
Then, they took everyone from the village of Wartwood and turned them to slaves. The robots whipped the Plantars as they carried the parts that were needed to build an ultimate doomsday weapon of some kind.
Hop Pop fell on his knees due to being weakened. His grandson tried to help him up, but then the robots just forced them back up and put them back to work.
Up in Darcy's throne room, them and General Yohan were watching everything go as planned. "Everything is going as planned, my Lord." Yohan said.
"Excellent." Darcy chuckled.
"Where will we go next?" Yohan asked.
"Well, I was thinking we go to that one universe, you know, Brighton?" Darcy smiled. "They seem defenceless so they will be quite easy."
"Speaking of easy, have you noticed that taking over has been a little too easy?"
Yohan's question made Darcy think. They hadn't noticed that things have been easy until now. "Taking down team Gravesfield was easy, taking down team Gravity Falls was easy and team Los Angeleswas the easiest. But I guess they were little too relaxed."
"You never explained how you got the green shard." Yohan said.
"I have memories of getting the blue and red shard." Darcy said. "I killed Dipper and Sasha and the green shard….Wait, did I kill them? Or did I spare them? What happened?"
"Your memory seems to be a blur." He remarked. "How did you even take control of Earth, The Isles and then Amphibia? But more importantly, how did you get to the Isles and retrieved the box to Amphibia?"
Darcy quickly realised something and grabbed Yohan. "How did I conquer something so fast without resistance?! It was easy but it was too easy! What are you getting at, General?!"
Yohan laughed. "Because you never took anything."
"What?" Darcy ran toward the window to look at outside and instead of seeing Amphibia as a Hellscape it was back to the thriving world with nature and wonder. "How?! How can this be?!"
They looked at their body and saw that they were back in Marcy's physical form with orange eyes. "What?! No! How?!"
They then turned to Yohan and saw that they were now turning into Marcy, whom was pulling a smug grin.
"Welcome to my mind." Marcy said before the throne disappeared into a dark and black void that left the hive mind confused and scared.
"No! What is this?!" Darcy asked.
"You thought you assimilated me." Marcy began to approach the terrified Core, whom snarled in anger and tried to punch Marcy. But their fist went through her like she were nothing. "But I assimilated you into me. I did this by showing you what you wanted to see while I took over every last bit of you."
"How?" Darcy asked.
"You're in my mind remember?" Marcy replied. "I have full control of it."
"But…..I wanted power!" Darcy exclaimed. "Don't you want that?!"
"I have something greater than that." She said while flashes of Sprig, Hop Pop, Polly, Yunan, Olivia, Grime, Dipper, Pacifica, Hunter, Willow, Gus, Camila, K, Masha, Vee, Amity, Luz, Sasha and then Anne. "While you, will be trapped in here alone." She grabbed them by the neck and threw them in a jail cell that they locked up.
"No!" Darcy screamed as Marcy bolted the door. "No! No! Marcy, please! Please! Please! Let me out!" They cried as them and the cell they were trapped in sunk into the darkness forever. "Noooooooo!"
In the real world, Amity was close to attack Marcy until Marcy grabbed her by the wrists and made a groaning noise.
"Hey guys." Marcy said.
Amity froze as she pulled her fist back. "M…Marcy?"
"Is everyone okay?" Marcy asked.
K sat up with his nose bleeding. "I have a broken nose but I'm fine."
"Marcy…" Luz was in disbelief. "….Is that you?"
"One hundred percent!" Marcy exclaimed happily. "I've assimilated the Core into me."
Everyone cheered with her parents hugging her. "Oh baby, we're so sorry!" Mr Wu exclaimed.
"We're so sorry we brought up the moving far too soon!" Mrs Wu cried. "We should have let you in far earlier than we did. We…"
"Mama, dad, I forgive you." She said. "I've always forgave you. But I will forgive K quicker if I'm freed. Because my limbs being cuffed to my bed are making this situation feel weird."
K reached into his pocket to pull out a pair of keys. "Right away."
Later, everyone in the living room were sitting down together having some tea after quite a stressful day. Camila was busy tending to K's nose, Luz and Amity were cuddling each other, Vee and Masha were also snuggling each other while Marcy was being given a ton of affection hugs from her parents.
Vee couldn't get what Darcy said about her leaving her basilisk friends behind. Somehow, Masha sensed this and stroked her head. "Hey don't worry, Vee. They're probably alive as well. If you stuck together then you would have been captured again. But when the door to the Demon Realm is open again, who's about we look for them?" Vee smiled at her partner before the two shared a kiss.
The fact them two were kissing still weirded out the Wus. "I will never get used to this." Mrs Wu said.
While this was going on, Amity was giving her girlfriend concerned looks knowing that she was having suicidal thoughts. But not just Amity, Camila as well. While she was healing K, she looked to her daughter with a worried look, knowing that she was having these thoughts just broke her heart.
In that moment, Luz realised something. "Wait, Marcy, when you were in the Core's mind, did they show you what they did with the Shard?"
"No." Marcy said. "But….I feel it's still here. It's still here in Gravesfield. Wherever it is, I have a feeling we're going to find it."
Meanwhile, in the deep dark forest a deer was being devoured by something monstrous. Its guts disembowelled, its legs were gone and all that remained was the petrified look on its face.
The monster itself was none other than Belos whom was at full strength for now. He snarled sinisterly. "I'll get those other shards." He looked to his gooey chest to see the green glowing shard that he retrieved from Darcy whom promised they'd give him the rest once they gained full control of Marcy's body. They snarled sinisterly before continuing to devour the deer. "I will kill all witches, no matter what. NO MATTER WHAT!"
