She woke up, falling onto her knees. Comet, the former Golden Guard remembered the last thing that had happened to her. She remembered she was about to kill Butcher for betraying the team, but then she felt like she had been frozen in place by someone with a freezing ray. But now, she was on her knees looking up at her saviour with a surprised expression.
"What? How can this be?" She asked in shock.
The person pointed to a nearby cryo chamber. "Clyde is in that cryo chamber for when you need to free him."
"What?" Comet reacted.
"Take this list." The person handed her a list for her to use. "You're going to need it." The figure pulled what appeared to be a tape measure from their pocket and vanished.
Comet was in confusion before she began reading the list. It had a huge list on instructions that she needed to follow. Destroy security camera watching Clyde, free Clyde, cause a rampage to get the Pines family attention, purposely get yourself captured, allow Clyde to cause commotion that gets the family distracted, take full control of the monitor room and so they can tell you the code you and Clyde can escape.
"Okay, there's more but I'll get round to it." Comet said. "Now, which one was Clyde again?"
A few hours later after the plan was perfectly executed, Comet and Clyde ran out of the bunker with excitement on their face.
"Hey Clyde, what was that?" Comet asked.
"Oh, that whole mind reading thing?" Clyde laughed. "It's so I can gain new forms. For example." He shape changed into Belos in his monster form, causing Comet to flinch. "What do you think?"
"That's pretty scary." Comet remarked.
"Now, do I have anything on my back?" He turned his back to face Comet where she saw the small tracking device.
"What is that?" Comet asked.
"Could you describe what it looks like?"
"It's small and blinking." Comet replied. "Oh, and it appears to be doing a beeping sound like this. Beep. Beep. Beep."
The shapeshifter reached over his back and tore it off. He knew instantly what it was. "A tracking device. Well, I'm going to probably shove this little sucker up a cop's moustache. How about you?"
"I have my own mission." Comet replied.
"Okay, good luck." Clyde turned into an owl before flying off into the night with the device in his claws.
"And to you too!" Comet exclaimed. "Now, what was the next task?" She pulled up the list. "Go to the area of the woods with a rock as big as a slitherbeast and wait for an old man to pop out of nowhere and then steal his Time Machine. Wait? Time machine?!"
Later, she was standing by the rock that the person told her to go to, impatiently waiting for the old man to appear with his Time Machine. "What am I even doing? Why am I even trusting you? I mean, when will this old man show up?!"
Suddenly, an old man wearing a lab coat, spiky hair and black goggles popped out of nowhere. He pulled the goggles off his eyes and placed them on his head. "Oh great Marty Christopher!" He pulled the tape measure out of his pocket and began to look at it in anger. "Why isn't this prototype working properly?! I wanted to go to when they had Booster Energy Drink before it got recalled for being unfriendly to the environment. Darn you device and my need to specifically explain my situation out loud while I'm on my lonesome!"
In that moment, Comet smiled as she realised her luck began to turn. "Okay Comet, your luck is about to turn." She picked up a small rock and began to approach the man.
After she knocked out the old man, she stole the tape measure and smiled. "Man, shame I knocked out that old man. I hope he's okay. You know what? I'm not. Now, next item, go back in time to free yourself from your imprisonment." She began to analyse the machine with intrigue and cluelessness. Since she had no idea how this kind of device works. "Uh….Do I just say my location? Or…" When she pulled the tape, it began to glow a bit of writing. It said 'Idaho July 14th, 1889.' "Huh?"
When she arrived, she was caught in-between a shootout between two rival cowboy gangs in the middle of a town. When she appeared out of nowhere, it caused everyone to stop firing their weapons and to stare at her in shock and surprise.
"What in the Sam heck?" One of the cowboy's asked.
"Uh….Hi…Do any of you fine gents know how to work time travel?" She asked.
The leader of the blue shirts looked to his rival. "Waybright!"
"What Pines?!"
"Do you have anything to do with this woman appearing out of nowhere?!" He asked.
"No, do you?!"
"No!"
"What is she and what do we do about it?" Waybright asked. "I'd shoot her but, I need your expertise in case I know she's a danger."
"Wait, weren't you guys fighting when I arrived?" Comet asked. "Why are you asking for his advice?"
"Well, he was my smartest rival." He replied.
"Well Georgie, I believe this woman is…A witch!" He exclaimed loudly, causing everyone else to either panic or snarl at her. Comet looked scared and confused before she pulled out the tape measure. "Shoot her, quick!"
Comet panicked as the gang began to reload. She pulled the measure before vanished to her next location. New York, May 16th, 1976.
She appeared in front a crowd of people in the bustling city. Her sudden appearance made everyone startled and scared. Then, a woman began beating her with her purse.
"It's the Devil! It's the Devil!" She yelled while beating the witch.
"Ow! Ow! I'm a witch not a devil!"
"You're an agent of the Devil!" She exclaimed while she continued to wail on her.
"Ow! Ow! I don't even know him!" She pulled the tape measure again and vanished.
Then, it was June 20th 2006 she arrived at next in Los Angeles. Where a young Mrs Boonchuy was being wheeled out of the hospital by her husband while holding a bundle in her arms.
"So it's settled then?" Mr Boonchuy asked his wife.
"Yes, Anne Savisa Boonchuy." Mrs Boonchuy replied as she looked at her newborn daughter. "How can anyone ruin a perfect day like this?"
Suddenly, Comet showed up behind them and began panting. "Okay, okay. I think I'm understanding this. Random family, what year is this?"
Mr Boonchuy and Mrs Boonchuy turned to the woman who was behind them. They looked befuddled by her question but just shrugged their shoulders.
"It's 2006." Mrs Boonchuy replied.
"Okay, I'm not supposed to be here so…" She pulled the tape measure, causing her to vanish in front of their eyes. The Boonchuys had their mouths wide open in shock as they realised what had transpired.
"Dear, let's not tell anyone about this." Mrs Boonchuy suggested.
"I thought you'd never say it."
Then, at Oceanside on October 17th 2023, Hailey Banks was about to confess something important to her best friend. "Listen Scott, there is something I need to tell you. There's an item on the list that involves you. I have to ki…"
"You have to kick me?!" Scott exclaimed.
"Don't mind if I do!" Beta said while getting his foot ready.
"What?! No! I have to…"
Suddenly, before Hailey could confess, Comet popped out of nowhere. "Okay, no guns, no purses and no confused parents. Good."
"Uh…Can we help you?" The confused Hailey asked while Scott and Beta just stared at her with surprised befuddlement.
"Okay, so, I just found this time travel device and I'm struggling to work it out." Comet explained. "You see, I have to go back in time to free myself from my cryogenic prison from the year 2020 in Gravity Falls, Oregon. But…I'm struggling to work this device."
"That's a tape measure." Hailey said.
"You fools, that's not just a tape measure, that's one of the earliest prototypes of time travel devices." Beta explained as he jumped off the bed and approached the witch. "It was invented by Doctor Emmet Jackson before he suddenly vanished in time." Comet handed the device to the little teddy bear robot which he began to look at. "The early prototype was very untrustworthy. It took you to random locations you didn't want to go to." He opened it up and motioned for a screwdriver to be handed to him. Hailey handed the bear a screwdriver. "Now, lefty Lucy and righty Tighty and voila! Now, pay attention, that means you buffoon."
"Okay!" Scott exclaimed.
"You just pull on the tape to a certain length and it will take you there." Beta explained. "For example." Beta pulled on the tape before vanishing into thin air. Then, three seconds later, he returned with a lollipop in hand. "Do you wanna know where I've been?"
"Where?" Scott asked with excitement. "Was it the future?"
"No, I went back in time to steal this lollipop from you when you were a baby." Beta explained.
"Hey!" Scott exclaimed.
"Oh and be careful not to push the small red button that lies under the tape measure in a glass case." Beta said. "That will cause an explosion as strong and powerful as the Big Bang. Which in other words means the entire universe would be destroyed."
"Okay, thanks little cute teddy bear." Comet said. "And you know, it's strange, you guys aren't even freaked out about me being a time traveller. It's like strange things like this happens to you all the time."
"You really don't wanna know." Hailey said.
"Now, if you excuse me, I'm just gonna take this pen and this paper." Comet stole the pen and paper before vanishing by pulling on the tape measure.
"Did she just steal my pen and paper?" Hailey asked.
"Did she just call me cute?!" Beta exclaimed.
"Did you steal candy from me when I was a baby?!" Scott asked angrily.
"Oh get over it, buffoon." Beta retorted. "And besides, the real issue we should be worrying about is her handling a dangerous device. She could destroy the entire universe if she isn't careful."
"But wait, it's 2023." Hailey pointed out. "What if she pressed the button in 2020?"
"There are other points in time, future genius!" Beta retorted. "So just pray to Moana it ain't gonna be a point where you're alive."
Then, Comet arrived to March 5th, 2020. In the bunker in Gravity Falls, Oregon. The first thing she did was destroy the security camera that was watching her before turning to her Chryo chamber. "Okay me from….Uh…I don't know, five minutes ago? Let's hope you understand this better than I did." She began writing on the piece of paper.
After that, she arrived in middle of downtown Gravity Falls in the year 2012 on August 2nd, 2012. Where everyone was getting for some mayoral election. "Okay, what's going on here?"
Then a blonde girl around 13 years old was walking while talking on her diamond phone. "Yeah, I had one of my credit cards snipped in two because I wouldn't follow my parents wishes….Look, I know I was dirty on the front cover but I just wanted to embrace the real me….Insult me again and I'll sue you."
"Hey little girl!" Comet exclaimed.
"What?!" The blonde asked as she hung up on her phone.
"Hi…I was…"
"Uh, what is that armour?" The girl asked. "What are you trying to represent wearing something so terrible?!"
"I'll have you know this armour represents an important rank where I come from!" Comet argued.
"And where's that?! It looks like something out of Bloodcraft!" She then began to shift her eyes. "Which I've heard about and have not played it! I don't even know what an RPG is! Shut up! Quit asking!"
"Wait, what's an RPG?" Comet asked.
She scoffed. "Whatever. Just keep your greasy hands off of me or else I will sue you."
"Who is Sue?" Comet asked, not understanding the meaning of a lawsuit.
The girl scoffed. "Whatever. You just wasted my time."
"Well, you are very rude!" Comet retorted. "Whoever you are!"
"It's Pacifica!" Pacifica replied. "Pacifica Northwest!" Comet froze when she heard that name and began to see her as her 21 year old self she encountered 8 years into the future. The tween scoffed before walking away to brag and scoff some more.
Comet began staring at her with an intrigued look on her face. "Well, well, well, what do we have here? Hmmm, I think I have a bright idea."
Dipper's journal, September 7th. It has been a week since that disastrous birthday and my first encounter with the majestic white wolf. After my breakup with Wendy, it took us while for things to go back to normal but it lasted for shorter than I anticipated. Just three days. Mabel was disappointed that I missed the party, but I'm glad I had that cake. It was delicious. I still question what the White Wolf meant about Luz's destiny. What will her destiny be? I've been told by Marcy that while she was possessed by Darcy, they exposed that Luz was suicidal. Oh man, I can't believe it. My vision was right. Pacifica's death really messed her up. I should talk to her, but I'm afraid that whatever I will say will only make things worse. What can I do to keep her alive? She has a destiny. What destiny?! I doubt I'll find out until I see it. Anyway, right now, we are just returning from an adventure in a place called Anime-Land. Me, Mabel, Willow, Hunter, Wendy and Stan.
A black door stood in front of Ford as he was typing on his laptop, awaiting for his family to arrive back home. The door opened to reveal Dipper, Wendy, Hunter, Willow, Mabel and Stan coming through one by one.
But they were wearing a different set of clothes. Dipper was dressed dressed in a blue leisure suit, with a yellow shirt, black boots and a black neck tie; Hunter appeared to be dressed in a basketball outfit with number 10 Siren on his vest; Wendy was dressed in that outfit she wore on Halloween; Mabel was dressed in what appeared to be black body armour, while Willow wore black, full-body suit with a pale pink design down the middle of her torso, topped with two black semi-spheres on her chest, pink stripes starting at her midsection, a deep pink choker, and two-toned pink sleeves with cuffs; While Stan wasn't wearing anything.
"What happened to you guys?" Ford asked.
"We briefly got separated." Dipper replied. "I ended up on a ship with a bunch of bounty hunters."
"I was on an intense basketball team." Hunter replied.
"I was at a prestige superhero school." Willow replied with a smile. "But…I didn't like the way one of the superheroes was staring at me."
"Did he happen to be small and drooling profusely?" Ford asked.
"How did you know?" Willow asked before her question got answered. She looked up to see a small boy dressed in a green mask, green body suit and green hair that looked similar to grapes staring at her.
"Oh….That suit looks so good on you!" He said.
"Eww!" Willow groaned before trapping him in a vine and throwing him away.
"Worth it!" He cried as he fell through the air.
"I was on an elite police force." Mabel replied. "I could turn invisible."
"Please tell me it wasn't by stripping." Hunter pleaded.
"It was." Mabel replied. "But I didn't use it."
"And I ended up on a boat with pirates." Wendy replied. "Man, that chick was a little feisty. She had quit the sailor mouth."
"Think you'll see her again?" Ford asked.
"Unlikely." Wendy then pulled out a card that read 'You, me and Rocky.' "But I might go back for other unrelated reasons."
"And Stanley, why aren't you wearing clothes?" Ford asked.
"I ate some food that tasted really good." Stan replied.
"So you felt the need to strip?!" Ford exclaimed.
"No, I just lost them as soon as I started exclaiming how good it was!" Stan replied.
Ford sighed. "Okay, so, I assume Animeland was a bust?"
"Meh." Everyone replied.
"So, why don't you get out of those costumes and put on some clothes while Soos prepares dinner?" Ford suggested.
"Yeah!" Hunter exclaimed. "This costume makes me sweaty."
"And I don't like how this costume feels on my butt." Mabel complained while she, Hunter and Willow walked inside the house.
"I'm going home." Dipper declared before he began walking away. "I'll probably see you tonight or something."
"You sure everything is okay, Dipper?" Hunter asked. "It's been a week since…"
"Hunter, let me worry about you." Dipper interjected. "I'll worry about myself. You just stay back so we can talk about that crazy adventure later." He began to walk back to his house while Hunter and Willow watched him on in sadness.
"He's still not over her, is he?" Willow asked.
Hunter sighed. "Unfortunately. Hey Wendy, you coming back in?"
Wendy turned red in the face and began to sweat. "I would…But…I left my wallet back in AnimeLand so give me….Five to six hours." She jumped through the door while Ford sighed.
"She met someone didn't she?" Ford asked.
"She was oddly smitten with that angry lady that really liked to curse a lot." Willow replied. "And I mean human curses."
"Don't know how that relationship will work." Hunter remarked.
Later, Willow had just finished getting changed back into her regular clothes of a yellow shirt with a blue leaf at the centre, a green jacket and green pants. While Hunter was in brown pants and was still wearing the basketball vest now with sleeves.
"You like that vest?" Willow asked.
"Actually, I just finished sewing some sleeves together." Hunter replied. "How does it look?"
"You're getting better at hiding the stitches." Willow remarked.
"Thanks." Hunter said as he approached his girlfriend. He tickled Flapjack underneath his chin as he did. "You feeling okay? We've been in the Human Realm for months."
Willow smiled. "You ask me that all the time. I told you Hunter, I'm fine. I just want to worry for you." She pecked his cheek. "You're okay, right?"
Hunter knew that his girlfriend wasn't okay, but he was worried that prying her might make things worse so he just decided to respond. "Well, Pacifica. I just…Can't accept that she's gone. If it wasn't for her, then I might have been stuck with my uncle or worse, dead. And worst of all, I wouldn't have gotten together with the prettiest girl in the entire Isles if it wasn't for her."
Willow's cheeks blushed. "Awww, Hunter."
"Oh, there you are Willow." Hunter said, acting surprised. "I was just talking to Clover."
Willow playfully shoved her boyfriend. "Oh you little brat!"
Hunter laughed as he landed on his bed with Willow following. They just laid in place and stared at the ceiling with their respective Palismen doing the same thing as them.
"Makes you wonder what would happen to the future if things were different, huh?" Hunter asked.
"Not really." Willow replied. "I just want to be happy in this moment, together." She wrapped her arm around his.
"Yeah." Hunter said.
Suddenly, the two heard a knock on the front door, causing the two teens to groan. "That's the pizza. Hopefully."
When Hunter arrived down the stairs, he opened the front door to be greeted by an old man with a great white beard a fancy suit and tie.
"Why hello there young man with a very cool distinct scar." Said the old man. "I'm Old Man McGucket. You wouldn't happen to know a Hunter? He is said to be a teenager with a distinct scar, blonde hair and an annoying voice."
Hunter narrowed his eyes at the old man. "I'm Hunter."
"You are?" McGucket asked. "Nah, I thought your voice would be more irritabble. Anyway, some cooky lady from eight years ago asked me to record a little something I transferred to this little doohickey." He showed Hunter a DVD disc. "Or maybe it's my wedding video between me and my beaver ex-wife. She ran away and became decoration."
Later, Hunter set up the DVD player and placed the disc in. Soos and Willow walked in the living room with the grown man holding a bowl of popcorn.
"What movie is this, little dude?" Soos asked.
"I don't know." Hunter replied. "Some crazy old man gave me this saying some cooky lady wanted me to watch this."
"McGucket is a filmmaker?" Soos reacted. "Man, that dude has a lot of secrets I wish I knew of. I wonder if this is award worthy?"
"Why would you get a movie?" Willow asked.
"I don't know." Hunter smiled. "But I hope it's about wolves." Hunter sat down in-between Soos and Willow just as the movie started.
When he put in the movie, he was greeted to the sight of a blonde haired girl around Gus' age tied to a chair and gagged around her mouth in some abandoned building. But the girl herself looked all too familiar to Hunter.
"Wait, who is that girl?" Willow asked.
"Why does she look familiar to me?" Hunter asked.
"Oh dudes, that's Pacifica." Soos replied. "Though why she's tied up is a mystery to me."
"Did she tell you she did movies?" Willow asked her boyfriend.
"No." Hunter said. "But I didn't expect it to be intense."
"Wait, are we recording?" The voice of Comet asked.
"We sure are!" McGucket replied.
Comet ran in front of the camera. "Heyo, Hunter."
Hunter froze in horror at the sight he was witnessing while Soos smiled. "Oh hey, that's the witch that escaped. Remind me, wasn't she trying to kill you?"
"So, you're probably wondering what I'm doing in this video from eight years ago." She laughed. "Well, as you can see, I am holding your sister hostage from the past. Well, I wanted to hold her hostage from your present day but Clyde informed me that she unfortunately died. So, ya know, bummer. What I'm trying to do is prevent you from joining the little group that is against Belos. And she appears to be the reason. So, I suggest you either come back in time or otherwise your sister will have her throat slit on camera." Pacifica made a muffled cry as tears fell from her eyes. "Aww, she's crying. You better hurry Hunter or however time travel works because you have two hours until you do. Tick tock."
The video ended and the reactions said it all. Hunter, Willow and Soos were in shock. Hunter especially was scared and angry for Pacifica. Even though she was dead, he was scared what might happen to him if she did die.
"Hey Hunter, could we watch a different movie?" Soos asked. "I don't think Melody would like this."
At the Pines home, Dipper had just finished getting out of the blue suit and was now dressed in a casual brown shirt and green pants. As he walked to his seat he walked past blue prints for something called Operation Last Resort, a robotic hand on display and a book about how to control nanotechnology.
He sat down on the chair by his desk and began to type on his typewriter to write his next book which he planned it on being about the Manotaurs and a message about masculinity. But he was currently suffering a writer's block due to the white wolf and what that message about destiny meant.
"What is Luz's destiny?" Dipper asked himself out loud. "And what did the Wolf mean about our meeting being the last?" He looked to his phone and picked it up. He looked at the list of numbers he dialled and they were all sent out to Luz. He wanted to say something to her, he wanted to help her but he was still terrified he would make it worse if he said something about this. "What are they going to do with you?" He then turned to his right and began to stare at a picture of him and Pacifica at some birthday party, holding each other in their arms.
"How can I save her when I couldn't save you?" Dipper asked the picture. Then, he looked towards a picture frame of what looked like a piece of paper with red lips on it and a phone number with three X's, two drawings of lips, five more X's and a drawing of a mini drawing of Pacifica blowing a kiss. It was at this moment, he was beginning to flashback.
It was the end of the second summer and Mabel was saying goodbye to everyone. Mabel was saying her goodbyes to Candy and Grenda. "I'm gonna miss you girls so much!"
"Please come for Winter Break!" Candy exclaimed.
"AND IF YOU GUYS DECIDE TO HAVE A VACATION IN AUSTRIA! LET ME KNOW SO I CAN SAY HI!" Grenda cried.
While Dipper was saying goodbye to his girlfriend. They held their hands together staring at each other with sadness. "Are you sure we can make this work?" Pacifica asked.
"Of course we can." Dipper said. "If we follow our consistent timetable on when to call each other! Just pray that my parents don't listen to me while I speak to you since we have a landline."
Pacifica grinned. "About that." She reached into her pocket and pulled out a black cellphone. "And in case you were wondering, this is what I spent the bribe money on."
Dipper looked surprised as he took it. "A cellphone? But…."
"Don't worry the contract is under my name until you get your own account." Pacifica assured him.
Dipper was surprised by this. "But…."
"You'll be surprised how much Susan pays me." Pacifica said. "She really feels sorry for me."
Dipper sighed. "I don't know your number."
Pacifica facepalmed herself. "Of course! I knew I forgot something." She reached into her pocket and pulled out a paper and pen. She began writing on the paper. Then, she pulled out some lipstic that she quickly applied on her lips and then kissed it. "Here."
Dipper took the paper from her and saw that it was her phone number. Along with three X's, two drawings of lips, five more X's and a mini drawing of herself blowing a kiss. And one distinct thing about it were the red lips on the paper.
"I mean, lips are a little too much but…Thank you Pacifica." Dipper said. "Thanks for being amazing this summer."
Pacifica smiled at her boyfriend. "And you as well." Tears began to fall from her eyes which caused the eyeliner to smear. "Oh god." She tried wiping them but that only made things worse. "Sorry, I'm sorry. I should…"
"Hey, it's okay." Dipper assured her. "I'm going to miss you too." He himself was about to tear up as well. "But, I promise I will call you as soon as I can. Because…I love you." He panicked as he realised what he said. "Oh crap! Oh crap! Was that too soon?! I am…" But before he continued to panic, Pacifica surprised him by pressing her lips against his.
He was at first surprised but then he returned it. They stood as if they were floating in midair. They pulled out of the kiss and began to stare at each other.
"I love you too." Pacifica admitted.
The two pressed their heads against each other before they kissed again. Everyone else just watched on loving every minute of this. "Awww." Everyone cooed just as the bus to California arrived.
As the driver opened his door, Ford aimed his gun at him. "If you leave before my nephew and his girlfriend are finished, then you get the point." The driver nodded his head nervously.
Dipper was snapped out of the flashback when he heard panicked knock on the door and got off his chair. "Grunkle Stan, what did you do now?"
But when he opened the door, he was greeted by Hunter and Willow with their Palismen in hand. "We found Comet!"
"You need to watch this!" Willow exclaimed while holding the DVD.
About a few minutes later, Dipper finished watching the DVD and was mortified by what he was witnessing. That witch has his girlfriend, well, not yet at that point in time; Hostage.
"Dipper, what do we do?" Hunter asked.
Dipper narrowed his eyes at the TV. "I don't know. On the one hand, she just wants you. But on the other….What if she does kill Pacifica? Then the future would change. Me and her would never get together and you'd be attached to your uncle."
"Well, we can't leave her!" Hunter exclaimed.
"I never said we were." Dipper replied.
"So, what do we do?" Willow asked.
"There's two problems that Comet did not anticipate." Dipper explained. "One, we don't have a Time Machine and two, we don't know the date."
"The old man must know!" Willow exclaimed.
"Old Man McGucket isn't good with dates." Dipper said. "Like, he still can't get the correct date for mine and Mabel's birthday."
Suddenly, a brick crashed through the window. "Happy day of birth, Dipper! Have a brick!" Old Man McGucket exclaimed.
"My birthday is on August 31st." Dipper sighed. "I don't even know how to invent a Time Machine."
"So, what do we do?!" Hunter exclaimed. "We can't just stand here!"
"Or what if we don't go back in time?" Willow asked. "If Comet is back in time and she kills Pacifica then she creates an entirely a new timeline but if we stay here then our timeline would still be intact because if we went back in time at that point in time and go back to our present…." Willow began to go cross eyed.
"Willow, you're overthinking this." Hunter said.
"Willow does raise a convincing argument about time travel." Dipper remarked. "But, I hate Comet is messing with the past and she needs to deal with the consequences."
"And how do we get through time?!" Hunter exclaimed. "Do we just expect a time traveller to fall out of the sky?!"
Suddenly, the door burst open, startling everyone. They looked to the destroyed door to see a figure in a white suit spacesuit and helmet with a laser gun in hand.
"Oh great, now we're dealing with armed and dangerous astronauts." Dipper remarked.
Hunter and Willow summoned their respective Palismen while Dipper pulled out his laser blaster. The mysterious figure just aimed their weapon at the three. For a few more minutes, there was a standoff between the four, waiting for the first throw to be thrown.
Then, the figure gave a chuckle and put the weapon away before removing their helmet to reveal a biracial woman in her mid 40's with frizzy hair and red lipstick. "Hello boss." The woman said to Dipper.
"Um….Hi?" Dipper responded questionably.
The woman stared at Dipper like she were meeting her idol for the first time. "Wow, this is….Wow! Wow! Permission to say wow again?!"
"Uh…Granted?" Dipper replied.
"Wow!" She exclaimed before turning to Hunter and Willow. "Oh and Hunter, Willow look at you! I never met you when you were like this. Oh and Hunter, it's so weird seeing you with less scars on your face."
Hunter began to panic. "Wait! What do you mean?!"
The woman froze. "Oh, sorry. Spoiler alert. Sorry, I promised I wouldn't do this."
"Uh…Who are you?" Dipper asked the woman.
"Oh, right." The woman flicked her wrist and summoned an ID card. "Dr Lake Singer. Dr of chronophysics and a protector of the multiverse." She and Dipper shook hands with each other.
"Uh….Sorry do we know each other?" Dipper asked.
"Not yet." She grinned. "For this moment is your first meeting with me."
"Wait, you're from the future?" Dipper asked.
"Always caught on quicker than most." Dr Lake said.
"Wait, if you are from the future, what happens today?" Hunter asked.
"I don't know, but I can show you my Time Machine." She said before pulling out her tape measure and vanishing and then returning five seconds later dressed in a white jump suit. "Wanna know where I've been?"
"Where?" Hunter asked.
"I went to my time to get out of that stupid space suit." Lake replied. "Oh and Uh…Sorry about the door. I like dramatic entrances."
"Look, we'd love to talk but we're in a bit of conundrum right now." Dipper said. "My…."
"….Deceased girlfriend has been captured by a witch and we need to rescue her." Lake interjected. "I know."
Dipper and the witches were both surprised by this. "Wait, who sent you?"
"You did." Dr Lake replied.
"And why did I? You're not my…"
"Oh no." Dr Lake replied. "No, I'm not Evelyn."
"Who?"
"Your daughter."
Dipper tried to process this fact. "Wait, I have a daughter?"
Dr Lake realised this mistake. "Whoops, spoiler alert. No, I am not your daughter. I am your apprentice."
"My apprentice?" Dipper reacted.
"Why do you think I called you boss?" She asked.
"I thought for a moment it was a nickname for the dominant master in the relationship." Hunter said.
Dr Lake laughed. "Oh boy, you really were naive back then."
"Wait, if you're from the future." Willow said. "Do we get back to the Boiling Isles?"
Dr Lake grinned. "Spoiler alert. So, the reason why I was sent to the past was because I'm here to help you save Pacifica."
"Wait, you are?" Dipper asked.
"Who else has the Time Machine?" She retorted with a smile.
"Great! So start it up!" Hunter exclaimed. "We have to save Pacifica."
Whereas Hunter was excited to save his sister, Dipper didn't look convinced by Dr Lake's intentions along with Willow.
"Willow…"
"I feel it too." Willow replied. "Something about her feels off."
"It's like rescuing Pacifica's going to be easy. Too easy." Dipper said. "I don't know if I can trust Dr Lake just yet so I'm going to keep a close eye on her. And you, keep a close watch on Hunter."
"You got it, boss." Willow said.
Dipper just stared blankly at the witch. "And no, don't call me that. No. Definitely not. Please don't. No."
When he approached Dr Lake, he saw that she was using some device that appeared to be tracking something. "Okay, she appeared to be using the first prototype for the Time Machine invented by Dr Emmet Jackson whom vanished as soon as he arrived in Gravity Falls on March 5th 2020. Well, now we know where he went."
"Sorry, what's that?" Dipper asked.
"It's a tracking device that can track any time machine's location history. You just put in the zip code and model and Bob's your uncle." Dr Lake explained.
"Dipper, I don't remember you having an uncle Bob." Hunter said.
But this bit of info made Dipper a bit more suspicious of Dr Lake knowing what to do by tracking the machine. "Okay, how did you know the zip code and model? There's no way you'd know."
Dr Lake grinned at Dipper. "You told me."
Dipper sighed. "Okay, that's a good excuse."
"Okay everyone, gather around me." She declared. "In order to find her, we have to go through all the known locations it went travelling through. It's just nine jumps so….Hold on tight."
"So, where will we be going?" Hunter asked.
"Don't you mean, when will we be going?" Dr Lake laughed at her joke. "Oh boy, you definitely had an effect on me, boss."
Though he admired that she was willing to help them, Dipper still wasn't so sure about her character or whatever her true motives are. But no matter the risk, he will find out what she is after.
"Okay, let's go." Dr Lake declared before pulling on the tape measure.
It was, June 6th 6,000,000 BC. The early human primates appeared to be screeching at each other over a watering hole. They growled and hissed at each other and tried attacking each other with their claws.
The fight briefly stopped when Dipper, Hunter, Willow and Dr Lake arrived in the middle of that same watering hole. The apes looked terrified by what they were seeing in front of them with Dipper, Hunter and Willow and the Palismen looking shocked as well.
"Where are we?" Willow asked.
"The dawn of humanity." Dr Lake replied. "Okay, interesting start."
One of the apes began pulling on Willow's skirt, causing the plant witch some discomfort. "Hey, get off my skirt." She kicked the ape off of her, causing it to begin to snarl.
"Willow!" Dr Lake chided.
The apes snarled aggressively at the four and looked like they were going to attack them. But luckily, Hunter picked up a bone. "Hey Stan ancestors, fetch!" He threw the bone, causing it to hit one of them in their face.
"Hunter!" Dipper chided.
"This better not have a lasting effect!" Dr Lake said before pulling the tape measure and disappearing.
Once they left, one of the rival apes picked up the bone and looked between the bone and its leader. In that moment, it put the pieces together and realised what this bone was capable of. He ran towards the rival tribe and began to beat the other ape to death with it.
It cried and howled as it finished beating the rival ape to death while its other tribe members did the same. Then, it began to smash random skeletons into dust before they tossed the bone high in the air, spinning as it did.
Meanwhile, the time travel group arrived in the middle of a forest at night, somewhere in Gravity Falls by the looks of things.
"Where are we now?" Dipper asked.
"July 6th 2013. A week before you and Pacifica Pines…Sorry, Northwest, got together." Dr Lake replied. "Sorry, I know you're still mourning."
Dipper sighed sadly. "Yeah."
"You're telling me." Hunter said sadly.
"Okay, I should tell you the rules of time travel because they are important." Dr Lake said. "Hunter, Willow, you remember that episode of Cosmic Frontier…."
"It's okay, we know the consequences of time travel." Willow assured her. "We're well aware of the Bloodyfly Effect."
"Don't you mean Butterfly Effect?" Dipper asked.
"The what?" Willow asked.
"Huh?" Dipper reacted.
"We just have a different saying of explaining the concept of how small changes affect our reality." Dr Singer replied. "For example, you pathed the way for improvised weapons over 6,002,013 years ago so expect a cave drawing of you to be found at some point. So, that's not a bad change, nothing bad happened as far as I'm aware of."
Suddenly, they heard the sound rustling coming from a bush. "Admit it Dipper, you like Pacifica!"
"Mabel, I told you once, I'll say it again, I don't like Pacifica that way."
Dipper froze as he recognised that voice. "Lake, we need to get out."
"Don't need to tell me twice." She quickly pulled the tape measure just as 13 year old Dipper and Mabel emerged out of a random bush.
"Look Mabel, Pacifica is beautiful…."
Mabel gushed at her brother. "Ha! You said she's beautiful!"
Dipper just sighed in annoyance. "But that doesn't mean anything. I mean….Hey, what's that?"
They saw a bright light engulf four people and two animals. The twins only got a look at one of them, which happened to be Hunter just as he vanished.
Mabel's cheeks turned red and her heart sank at the sight of Hunter. "Dipper, did you see an older boy with blonde hair and a cool cheek scar?"
Dipper sighed. "Here we go again."
Then, they arrived on March 5th, 2020, the last location of Emmet Jackson. "Alright, if I remember correctly this is where Dr Emmet Jackson disappeared. I think it's clear from that bloody rock Comet eliminated him."
"Then where's the body?" Willow asked.
"That we don't know." Singer replied.
"How do you know he was here?" Dipper asked.
"Spoiler alert." Dr Singer replied with a grin before she pulled the tape again.
They arrived in the middle of a shootout between the Pines gang and the Waybright gang where they once again stopped to stare at the people who intruded on their shootout.
"Oh not again!" Waybright exclaimed. "Pines! Are these strangers witches?!"
"I think the two teenagers are but the two regular folks standing with them are most likely witch sympathisers." Pines replied.
"So, what do we do?!"
"Shoot them!"
Dr Lake panicked and quickly pulled on the tape just as they began shooting. Just before they vanished, one of the bullets scraped Willow's green jacket but didn't hit her skin.
Then, they arrived in 1970's New York in the middle of the streets where the same woman that was beating on Comet screamed at their sudden appearance.
"Oh my Lord! The Devil has more agents!" She began to beat Hunter with her handbag.
"Ow! Ow! Ow!" Hunter cried.
"Okay, next!" Dr Lake pulled the tape measure and arrived outside a hospital in 2006.
"Ow! Handbags hurt." Hunter said.
"Okay, what as that?!" Dipper asked the doctor, accusingly.
"What?"
"That?!" Dipper exclaimed.
"It's not my fault Comet ended up at those locations." Dr Lake argued. "It was just random coincidences. It's not like I'm planning to kill you."
"As far as I'm aware of." Dipper muttered.
"Do you think anyone saw us arrive?" Willow asked.
Hunter shrugged his shoulders. "I don't see anyone so we'll be fine." Then, Dr Lake pulled the tape measure and vanished.
But unbeknownst to them, Mr and Mrs Boonchuy happened to have seen what had happened as they were 15 feet away from it. "Do we…."
"No!" Mrs Boonchuy interjected.
In Hailey's bedroom, Hailey was finally going to confess to Scott. "Scott, that list of things I need to do."
"Yes?"
"There's one that involves me ki…"
"Killing me?!" Scott exclaimed.
"Nah, I enjoy seeing you in pain, buffoon!" Beta exclaimed.
"No Scott, I need to…"
Suddenly, the time travel crew arrived. "Oh now what?!" Beta exclaimed.
"Where are we now?" Dipper asked.
"In some random girl's bedroom I think." Willow replied. "As well as some strange looking human and a cute teddy bear."
Beta tensed up at being called cute. "Witch, you wouldn't know the definition of cute even if it hit you in your pointy ears!"
"They're not weirded out by us." Hunter remarked to Dipper and Willow.
"Yeah, weird stuff happens all the time." Hailey said.
"But, I didn't expect Mason Pines in your room!" Scott exclaimed to his best friend.
Dipper sighed. "Let me guess, you hated Merman in the Pool."
"Actually, I thought it was your best." Scott replied with a smile.
"Of course you do." Beta retorted.
"Also, who's that woman you're with? Are you cheating on your super hot out of league wife?" Scott asked.
"Wait, I'm married?!" Dipper exclaimed.
"Scott!" Lake exclaimed. "Spoiler alert! Can't believe the Professor has to deal with you. You buffoon."
Beta grinned. "Least I'm not the only one."
"Okay, enough of that, Hailey, did a witch come through?" Dr Lake asked. "Specifically, one's that look like those two?"
"Oh yeah, Beta fixed her Time Machine and she stole a piece of paper and my pen." Hailey replied.
"Thanks." Dr Lake replied while the girl realised something.
"Wait, how do you know me?" She asked.
Dr Lake grinned. "Spoiler alert." She pulled the tape measure and vanished with the others.
"What was with the way she was saying spoiler alert?" Hailey asked. "Is that like her catchphrase?"
Beta sighed. "Catchphrase."
Meanwhile, the time travel team arrived in the bunker and were standing by the Chryo chambers. They saw one of them was open. Specifically, Comet's.
"Why was she here?" Willow asked.
It didn't take long for Dipper to figure this out. But so did Dr Lake. "It's because she went back in time to free herself from her prison and set about the chain of events that caused this incident to happen." They said at the same time.
Dipper was shocked while Dr Lake was smiling. "Awww! I missed doing this."
Dipper was a little caught off guard by that comment. "What do you mean you missed doing this?"
"Spoiler alert." Dr Lake responded before pulling the tape measure and arriving in downtown Gravity Falls on August 2nd.
Everyone looked around to see what was going on. There was excitement in the air from the townsfolk as they were chanting 'Vote for change. Vote for change.'
Dipper gave a small smile as he remembered. "Oh I remember, it's that time Stan ran for mayor."
"Did he win?" Hunter asked.
"No, he was disqualified for his extensive criminal record." Dipper replied.
"Burglebezzelment I tell ya." Dr Singer remarked. "It's a huge problem in the future."
"So what's the plan?" Willow asked.
"Well for starters we have to find McGucket." Dr Singer replied. "Dipper, do you remember where McGucket was during the election?"
Dipper shrugged his shoulders. "I don't remember seeing McGucket at the election. Actually, I don't think he was there at that point."
"So, what do we do?!" Hunter asked with desperation. "We can't just stand here and expect him to show up!"
"I mean, it is McGucket so…He might." Dipper said. "But what I think we should do…"
"Is split up." Dipper turned to his so-called apprentice with a bit of a glare over her interrupting him. "Sorry, boss. You go ahead."
"Okay, I do think Dr Lake had the right intention of splitting up." Dipper replied. "I'll go with Dr Lake, Willow and Clover will try and keep an eye out for McGucket while Hunter and Flapjack fly around Gravity Falls."
"And in order to keep touch, we use these ear pieces." Dr Lake handed the witches and Dipper ear pieces. "If one of you finds him, contact us. Got it?"
"Got it." Willow and Hunter responded.
"Alright, see you when we see you." Dr Lake gave Dipper a grin. "Come on, boss." She began running while Dipper gave Willow a nod that she returned. The male twin began to follow Dr Singer so they could find McGucket, leaving the teenage couple on their own.
"Hunter, have you noticed that his rescue mission has oddly been easy?" Willow asked her boyfriend.
"Yeah but at least we don't have to deal with any kind of conflict." Hunter replied.
"No, I mean, that woman just came out of nowhere and suddenly she had the resolve to our problem." Willow said. "Do you think that's a little bit suspicious?"
"Willow, you don't think she's shifty do you?" Hunter asked, looking worried.
"I don't know." Willow said. "I don't want to believe it but…What if she has some ulterior motives?"
"Why is she trying to help us then?!" Hunter asked his girlfriend. "Do you think you might be paranoid?"
"I hope I am, but please Hunter, be a little careful." Willow said. "I know you want to save Pacifica but please be cautious, for me."
Hunter sighed. "Okay, I'll try." Flapjack turned to staff mode and Hunter jumped on before they began flying around Gravity Falls to find McGucket.
Willow watched as her boyfriend flew away with a surprised look. "Huh, that went better than I thought." Clover buzzed. "Yeah, I thought he'd be more angry at me for being paranoid."
In the sky, Hunter was talking to Flapjack. "You don't think she's being paranoid right?" Flapjack tweeted. "I know she's looking out for me, but what if Dr Lake really does wanna help us save Pacifica?" Flapjack tweeted. "What else could she want with Pacifica?" In that moment, Hunter began to feel like Dr Lake was rather untrustworthy. But that was something he'd have to come back to as he was focused on something important.
And so the search for McGucket began. Willow was perched on one of her vines in the forest, looking out for anyone who remotely looks like McGucket. Hunter had been flying around Gravity Falls looking out for McGucket. But all he saw was someone who looked awfully Tad Strange.
Two of the townsfolk saw the teen flying on his staff, each with perplexed expressions. "Should we tell someone about this?" A townsfolk asked.
"Nah, he ain't casting a spell on us."
Meanwhile, Dipper and Dr Lake were walking to McGucket's junkyard to see if the crazy old man was there. But throughout the walk, Dipper was staring at the woman with an accusing stare. He still thought her intentions were untrustworthy and ulterior but he had to find out.
"So, how did you and I meet?" Dipper asked.
Dr Lake grinned. "Spoiler alert."
Dipper groaned. "Okay, so if you are my apprentice, then name an invention?"
"Sonic tool." She replied while showing one that looked similar to his. "Always a favourite of mine."
"Alright, what is the name of my first girlfriend?" Dipper asked.
"Pacifica Northwest. Duh."
"What is my favourite song?"
"Disco Girl by Baba." Dr Lake replied.
Dipper froze. "I never tell anyone that."
"Oh everyone knows." Dr Lake replied. "You even wrote that in your biography and it becomes your ringtone. Oh, spoiler alert."
Dipper groaned. "Will you stop saying that?! What is that your catchphrase?"
"It was originally spoilers but I was going to be sued by a British Broadcasting Company." She replied.
"I'm sorry, what?" Dipper reacted. "Okay, you know what? Forget it. If you are my apprentice then what is going to happen next?" She turned and to stare at him with a deadpan stare with Dipper doing the same. "Same response?"
"Same response, boss." Dr Singer replied.
"Right." He looked over her shoulder to see McGucket feeding baby raccoons by regurgitating. "We found him." Said the disgusted Dipper.
McGucket looked to the baby raccoons. "There you go Tammy, Jammy, Hammy and Kammy. I know you want more of my delicious regurgitations, but I should eat some more stuff. Now you go on to your mother." The baby raccoons ran away to their mother.
"McGucket!" Dipper said.
"Dipper, is that you?" McGucket asked. "Did I give you my aging potion?"
"No I'm from the future." Dipper replied.
"And I'm his apprentice from a far further future." Dr Lake said.
"Possibly."
"But I am." Dr Lake retorted.
"Could be lying." Dipper retorted.
"But I'm not."
"What was it you wanted to ask me?" McGucket interjected. "If it's about those raccoons, they're my step kids."
"There's a video you recorded with a witch named Comet and a captive Pacifica Northwest." Dr Singer said.
"Oh, that intense movie." Old Man McGucket said. "I don't know why but I was told to give this little moving picture to someone named Hunter in eight years. Do you want it?"
"Where did you film it?" Dipper asked.
"At the old mudflap factory over yonder by that hill." McGucket replied. "Ya know, the one that's been dumping that funny drinking water." An extra arm poked out of McGucket's overalls and scratched his beard.
"Thanks McGucket!" Singer said before she and Dipper ran toward the factory.
"Hunter, Willow…" Dipper said to them in the ear pieces. "…We got her. The old Northwest mudflap factory."
Once they were gone McGucket smiled. "Well something important was going on today. But I can't remember what it was. Was someone having a statue of them erected?" He laughed. "That's a funny word. Statue."
Meanwhile at the mudflap factory, main room where the mud flaps are made, Comet was talking to the tied up Pacifica about everything. "So…You know, gotta kill Hunter to appease my master so he could create another one. I mean, the least he can do is give him another voice. His voice is so annoying."
Up on one of the platforms that looked over the factory, the time travel group was watching her. "Why does everyone think my voice is annoying?" Hunter asked.
"Okay, has anyone thought of a plan?" Willow asked.
"I have it, Dipper and Willow will hand Hunter to Comet while I stay on this platform and take her out." Dr Lake said. "Sound like a plan?" But instead of agreeing, the group narrowed their eyes in suspicion.
"Why don't we just sneak up on her?" Willow asked.
"Because that's what she expects we do." Dr Lake replied. "She'll probably see you teleporting from a mile away."
"I agree with Willow." Hunter said. "Highly suspicious you want to use a classic misdirection trick."
"Why?" Dr Singer asked. "It's not like I'm gonna shoot you."
"Don't worry kids, I believe her." Dipper said.
She smiled. "Thanks boss. Wait, now you do?"
Dipper suddenly cuffed her to one of the bars. "Did I teach you this?"
"You did, yes." Dr Singer replied. "But I never expect it and you always expect it when I do it."
"Gotta always prepare them when they least expect it." Dipper said while searching through her pockets to finds all her weapons. "Hunter, Willow, you rescue Pacifica, I'll stay here and watch her."
"Yes Dipper." Hunter said and Willow vaulted over the railings and landed in front of comet.
"Oh, when did you two get in?" Comet asked.
"We just arrived here the wipe the dirt with you." Willow said.
"Oh, that's clever." Comet remarked. "Because we're in a mudflap factory."
Hunter spun Flapjack in his hand. "Don't worry Pacifica, we're gonna get you out."
"Oh so you're Hunter?" Pacifica asked. "Hand yourself over so she can kill you or otherwise I'll sue you!"
Hunter froze. "Okay wow, Dipper was right about her being mean."
"So you're friends with that cu…I mean, dork! Who I am in no way attracted to!" She denied while blushing.
"Okay enough talk." Comet summoned some sparkles that exploded like fireworks. "To the death." She began charging towards them. She fired some sparkles right towards them and Hunter quickly avoided it by teleporting while Willow shot a vine straight towards her.
Comet fired some sparkles that caused the vine to catch fire. Willow thankfully used it to her advantage as she tried to hit the witch with her vine. Hunter appeared besides Comet and hit her over the head with his Palisman.
"Ow! That hurt!" Comet cried before shooting Hunter with some sparkles, sending him flying.
He hit the wall and quickly stood up while Willow wrapped a vine around her waist. The former Golden Guard used the sparkle power to free herself from her trap. Then, she got hit in the stomach by Hunter and then blasted her backwards with powerful energy blast from his staff.
Up on the railing, Dipper and Dr Singer were watching the fight with intrigue. "Who do you think will come out on top?" She asked.
"Okay Dr Singer, if that is your name." Dipper said. "I mean who has the name of Lake Singer?"
"I do." Dr Singer retorted.
"How are you my apprentice?" Dipper asked.
"Spoiler-"
"And don't say spoiler alert!" Dipper demanded. "Please for the sake of everyone. Why did I send you?"
"To save Pacifica."
"Why does it sound like a lie." Dipper said. "It sounds more ulterior than anything else."
"How is saving a life ulterior?!" Lake asked.
"And if I knew that Pacifica was kidnapped, why didn't I tell you the location in the future?" Dipper asked.
"Look, do you want to save her or not?!" Lake asked angrily.
"How can I trust you?!"
Suddenly Comet jumped up on the platform with Hunter and Willow following behind. The former Golden Guard fired some sparkles at them but Hunter quickly deflected by spinning his staff. But once he stopped, Comet was running towards them with rage in her eyes.
Willow shot some vines from the ground that tried to grab her but she quickly avoided it and hit Hunter and Willow in the face.
Dr Lake and Dipper just stared at the incident with Lake looking on in desperation. "Dipper, we have no time to argue, you have to trust me."
"Why should I trust you?! Why would I trust someone like you?! And besides, Hunter and Willow have it." Dipper said.
Hunter and Willow tried to hit her with their staffs but then she caught them in her hands and shot the two with her pinkies.
Willow was about to stand up but then, she kicked the plant witch in her face, causing a crack to appear in her one of her glasses lenses. While Hunter got kicked off the railing and crash landed on the floor.
"Hunter!" Dipper exclaimed.
"Dipper….Listen to me because I'm gonna say this once and fast!" Lake Singer pleaded. "Just come close."
Dipper was about to protest and help Hunter but he was also curious to what she had to say. He quickly shot Comet in the arm, causing her to scream in pain. "Ow! Ow! That really hurt!"
Hunter quickly stood up and grinned at Dipper before standing up and running towards Pacifica. "It's okay, I got you." He freed her from her restraints. "Yeah, I got you." Hunter briefly wiped away some tears, causing Pacifica to stare at him in disgust.
"If you get any tears on me, I'm gonna sue you!" Pacifica chided. "This coat is worth more than your dumb red bird!"
Hunter narrowed his eyes at Pacifica. "You and I are gonna care about each other a lot in the future. So understand that I am really sorry for this. Flapjack!"
Flapjack began landed on her head and began pecking and pulling her hair. "Ow! Ow! My hair! My beautiful natural hair! Okay! Okay! Okay! I'm sorry! So tell your dumb bird to stop pecking me!" Pacifica's demand got the Palisman to stop.
Meanwhile, Dipper was at ear length with Dr Lake Singer. "What do you wish to tell me?"
Dr Singer sighed. "Understand that I am sorry for telling you this."
Willow woke up from her unconscious state and looked forward to see what was going on. What she saw was the woman whispering into Dipper's ear. She appeared to be looking mischievous while Dipper was shocked and surprised.
"No. Only two people know that secret." Dipper said.
"Well now you know the third." Dr Singer said. "You told me that you would be untrustworthy of me and to use that secret as a last resort."
Dipper exhaled and smiled. "I guess I chose my apprentice well. Here, let me free you."
"No need." She showed used her free hand to reach into her hair to pull out a laser gun and used it to disintegrate the cuffs.
"Why didn't you use that in the first place?" Dipper asked.
Dr Singer grinned. "I had to gain your trust."
Suddenly, they heard groaning and saw that Comet was standing up. Hunter knew that she was going to get up and had gotten into position for when that was inevitable.
Comet was about to attack again until she got shot from above. Hunter was stunned for a moment until he saw who did it. Dr Singer gave him a wave while Dipper did the same.
When, he, Singer and Willow got downstairs they were greeted by Pacifica. "You better have a good explanation to what was going on?! I was listening to most of it but…I only got to the part where scarface over there was the target."
"Hey!" Hunter chided before turning to Dipper. "Why did you release her?!"
"Is that how you said thank you?" Dr Singer asked.
"She whispered something into his ear." Willow replied.
"It was proof that I trust her." Dipper explained.
"What was it?" Willow asked with intrigue.
"Well…."
"Hey!" Pacifica exclaimed. "I'm still here!"
The four turned to Pacifica each with their own feelings. "I'm assuming this was what she was like back then?" Dr Singer asked.
"Oh yeah, very intolerable so far." Hunter replied. "Scarface? Seriously, that hurt."
Willow walked to her boyfriend and patted his shoulder. "It's okay, Hunter."
"Thanks babe." Hunter smiled at his girlfriend and kissed her.
Pacifica just chuckled. "Wait, you're actually dating her? Dear, you can do better than someone who wears broken glasses and is a tad chubby." She poked Willow in the stomach, causing her to hold it.
"Please don't poke me." Willow pleaded. "I feel self conscious."
"Oh come on, Pacifica!" Dipper interjected. "Please stop being the worse."
Pacifica froze when she recognised that voice. "Dipper?" She turned to the grown man who just gave a tearful smile.
"Hey Pacifica."
Pacifica's cheeks turned red. "Why are you suddenly hot?"
Dr Singer just gagged. "Oh thank goodness I wasn't choking."
"Look Pacifica long story short, your life is in danger because you improved Hunter's life in the best way so this witch over here is trying to kill you because of it." Dipper explained.
"Wait, how do I improve his life?" Pacifica laughed. "Did I tell him to date better girls?"
Willow narrowed her eyes at the girl and was about to summon a vine but then Hunter stopped her. "I know. I know."
"Oh, you want to hurt her?" The group turned to the right to see Comet getting ready to pull on the tape measure.
Pacifica just scoffed. "What are you going to do? Measure us to death."
"Were you even listening?!" Comet asked. "Uh, Titan you are the worst!" She was about to vanish into thin air.
"Oh no you don't!" Hunter teleported on her back and vanished.
"Hunter!" Willow cried.
Dr Singer pulled out the tracker and grinned. "It's okay. He hasn't gone far in the past. He only went to eight years in the future."
"Well let's go then!"
But instead of accepting things, Pacifica needed more answers. "Hey! What's going on?! I get the fact that she's trying to kill me but why?! And how do I help the scar boy? Also, I noticed Dipper looked sad at seeing me. Why's that?! I feel like a ton of information is being thrown at me all at once."
"Oh crap." Dipper groaned.
"Yes, I see the problem." Dr Singer remarked.
"She knows." Dipper said.
"Remind when this is done that I need to go back to my time to retrieve the forget-it-stick."
"Okay." Dipper said.
"So does her knowing have any consequences?" Willow asked before another blinding light appeared.
The light revealed none other than an angry Blendin Blandin. "Oh great, Blendin Blandin." Dipper complained.
"That's not even a proper word!" Pacifica exclaimed.
Blendin took a deep breath. "Oh of course you're messing with time again." But instead of an annoying voice, he spoke with a posh British voice. "Pines, how come every time I have to deal with a time travel shenanigan you're always at the centre."
"Blendin, I will get the forget-it-stick as soon as we save Pacifica from Comet." Singer assured him.
"Okay then." Blendin said. "But if I find out what you did to damage the space time continuum, you are in deep trouble, Pines!" He disappeared in a bright flash, leaving Dipper shocked.
"Singer, are you sure Pacifica knowing the future has any cons?" Dipper asked. "Because I'm looking at a pro."
"Boss." Singer chided her boss.
"Kidding!" Dipper assured her.
"And your jokes are still terrible." Singer said. "Okay Pacifica, you're coming with us."
"What?!" Pacifica exclaimed. "No way I'm coming with you! It's not even my fault I know the future!"
"But what will you do with that information?" Dipper asked. "Spread it? Do everything to prevent it? You know I've been to the future and you don't want to be locked in time prison."
Pacifica laughed. "Time prison? You're still coming up with ridiculous stuff, Pines."
"Need I remind you the house incident and Mr-What's-His-Face?"
"You know what?" Willow summoned a vine that shoved her towards them.
"Hey!" But before she could run, she was hit by the light and began to travel in time with them.
Gravesfield, March 5th, 2020. Masha had exited the store with a bag of ingredients for cake. "Okay, I definitely have everything on the list."
They turned to a random ally where they noticed Hunter and Comet were fighting one another. Hunter was deflecting an array of sparkles that Hunter deflected by spinning his staff.
Masha just sighed. "Mayhem as usual." They said before walking back to the Noceda residence.
Hunter and Comet were now engaged in a fist fight. They deflected each other's hits and kicks. Hunter then tried to knocked her on her back by hitting her legs with his staff but she jumped over and kicked him in the face.
Hunter quickly teleported and appeared behind her before hitting her in the back of the head, causing her to crash into the wall. Before Hunter could hit her, she dodged the attack and grabbed him by his collar and slammed him on the ground.
She tried to stamp on him but then, Hunter blasted her in the chest with Flapjack. Comet fired some more sparkles in retaliation that he deflected but then, she saw her opportunity and slammed him against a garbage can.
He was about to stand up, but then, she started to press on his chest with her foot while Flapjack tried to save his owner.
"Now, I will complete what Belos couldn't." She said before she began to put pressure on Hunter's chest with her foot. "Terminate you!"
But before she could continue, the rest of the group arrived behind her. Hunter just grinned at her misfortune. "You were saying?"
Before Comet could react, Singer held her by the arm, Hunter held her by the legs, Dipper held her by the stomach, Willow held her by the other arm while Pacifica put no effort and just held her cape in-between her finger and thumb.
Comet struggled to break free from her grasp while Singer aimed a gun at her head. "It's over Comet. You have lost."
Comet gritted her teeth in anger. "No! No! No! I have not lost!" She suddenly pulled out the tape measure and then pulled it, sending everyone back into the past with her.
When Dr Singer woke up, she was falling from a great height and then landed on the roof of an office building. She looked down to see her weapon had landed in a nearby junkyard. She looked around the rooftop to see if anyone else was there but unfortunately, she couldn't see anyone else. "Guys?!"
"Okay, I know what this looks like." Said a guy on the ledge of a rooftop. "But I swear I'm just trying to do a stunt!"
"I have more important matters." Dr Singer said before she began walking.
Meanwhile, Dipper, Willow, Hunter and Pacifica were somewhere in a random empty street. The first thing everyone did was look around for any sign of her. "Dr Singer? Dr Singer?" Dipper asked as he looked around.
"Where is she?" Hunter asked.
Pacifica just narrowed her eyes at Dipper. "If we don't find her soon, I will…."
"Sue us." Willow interjected with sarcasm in her voice.
"Exactly!" The young heiress said before turning to Hunter.
"Keep an eye out for either Comet or Dr singer." Dipper said. "Comet could appear from anywhere."
Dipper, Willow and Hunter began to look around the empty street for any sign of either of the women. But Pacifica had her own motive.
"Okay Scarface, spill it!" Pacifica demanded. "What do I do that helps you?!"
Hunter sighed. "Look, you already know too much. If I reveal the future right now, it could change things."
"Uh!" Pacifica groaned.
"Look Hunter, I think you might as well tell her." Dipper said. "She isn't going to remember it anyway."
"Yeah!" Pacifica said. "You might as well tell me."
Hunter sighed. "Dipper, what if there are more consequences?! Who knows what could happen?! What if the sky turns blue? Or what if…."
"Look, if you don't start telling me then I will damage the future!" Pacifica said.
"You dare!" Hunter chided. "Because I've seen every episode of Cosmic Frontier and so I know what happens."
Pacifica scoffed. "You actually like that nerd crap?!"
"Says the person who plays Bloodcraft."
Pacifica froze in shock. This was her dark secret. How did that nerd know? "W-what? How? You know what?" She then noticed a snail on the ground and was about to stand on it until Hunter stopped her.
"Alright, look, I don't come from around here as you can tell." Hunter said.
"Yeah, I was wondering what an elf was doing here."
"Hey!" Hunter exclaimed while narrowing his eyes at her. "Me and Willow aren't elves. She's a witch and…I'm a Grimwalker."
"Grimwalker?" Pacifica remarked. "That sounds kind of badass. It's like something out of Bloodcraft. Which…Is something I never heard of and never played." Her cheeks turned red as she shifted her eyes. "I didn't say my level status! What are you talking about?! Shut up!"
Hunter was at first surprised by this response but then just shrugged his shoulders. "Anyway long story short, you helped me get out of my bad spot. You helped me realise that he was not a good person."
"Who?" Pacifica asked.
"My uncle. My guardian." Hunter's response made Pacifica look down in shame. Since she at this moment, understood why she and him connected and why she wanted to help him. It was because he went through something similar to her. She then looked at his scar and exhaled.
"And I assume he gave you this?" Pacifica asked.
"Yeah." Hunter said as tears fell from his eyes.
In that moment, Pacifica felt a strong sense of guilt over calling him Scarface repeatedly when she realised where that name came from. "Hunter, I'm so sorry."
"It's okay." Hunter laughed as he wiped his tears. "Titan, why am I crying? He's gone now. He won't come back."
"Least you escaped from your guardian." Pacifica said. "I'm still stuck with mine."
Hunter grinned. "Don't worry, you won't be." He then walked away from Pacifica before more information could come out.
But one thing that bothered Pacifica, was the fact that Dipper somehow knew about her secret of being a fan of Bloodcraft. That she was going to find out herself.
Meanwhile, Willow was busy keeping a lookout for the Golden Guard. But besides the fact she was looking for her, there was something else on her mind. How Dr Lake managed to get Dipper to trust her.
She walked up to Dipper with a suspicious look on her face. "Dipper, are you still sure that Dr Lake can be trusted?"
"I'm sure she can be trusted." Dipper replied.
"You seemed so untrustworthy of her before but then suddenly, you start talking to her like she is someone you can trust." Willow said. "What did she whisper in your ear?"
"Look Willow, I…." Dipper replied.
"Found you!" Comet said, getting their attention.
They turned to see her a further distant away, grinning like a psychotic idiot. "Man, you will not believe the traffic in this part of the Human Realm. Like, it's stupid." She began firing some sparkles straight towards Pacifica.
Thankfully, Hunter tackled her out of the way by teleporting. The sparkles instead, hit a car, causing it to explode.
She tried firing some more sparkles but then, Willow quickly summoned a vine from the ground that protected her and Dipper the blast.
Dipper quickly pulled out his blaster and began shooting from round the corner of the vine in an attempt to hit her. But the witch got behind a newspaper box and began suppressing fire.
Hunter arrived with Pacifica beside him. "Get close to me, okay?"
"Okay!"
Hunter then poked his head out of the corner and shot some orange energy from Flapjack that Comet avoided but they just hit a random bush, setting it on fire.
Dipper and Hunter continued suppressing fire back towards Comet who just did the same thing as well. But each of their shots either hit a fence, cars, window, street lights and even some buildings.
"You guys seem to be causing some property damage." Willow remarked.
"So is she." Hunter retorted.
"Again, convenient these streets are empty." Pacifica remarked.
Then, Comet got bored of using the newspaper box as a cover and vaulted over so she can charge towards the group in an effort to terminate them.
Dipper and Hunter tried stopping her and even Willow summoned a vine to stop her but she somehow avoided it.
Then out of the junkyard, Dr Singer arrived with her laser in hand and shot the former Golden Guard with a powerful blast that sent her flying backwards into a store.
Everyone poked their heads behind the vine. Dipper just huffed and grinned. "You took your time."
"I ended up on the roof and had to snatch my weapon out of a strange toad man." Dr Singer replied.
"Did we get her?" Willow asked.
"I hope so." Dipper replied.
But they were greeted to Comet waking up and standing up. "Shouldn't have hoped!" She pulled the tape measure before vanishing.
"Where's she gone?!" Willow asked.
"You mean when and where?" Dr Singer retorted.
"No, I did not." The annoyed Willow responded.
Dr Singer typed in the tracking device. "December 18th 1998." Pacifica froze at the mention of that date.
"Oh of course, the continuing Y2K catastrophe." Hunter remarked.
"It was just paranoia." Dipper said. "Also, that event never happened."
"But you know what did happen?!" Pacifica exclaimed. "That's the day I was born!"
"She's trying to kill you as a baby?!" Hunter exclaimed.
"Titan, she couldn't try to adopt you!" Willow exclaimed.
"Why the hell are you saying Titan?!" Pacifica asked angrily while her eye twitched.
"It's an obscenity in their world." Dr Singer replied. "Okay, I think I might have a plan as to how we can stop Comet. We just hope everyone's patient."
"What?" Willow asked.
"We arrive few minutes earlier." Dr Singer replied. "Before she arrives in the baby room."
"So, we're going to see me as a baby?" Pacifica asked.
"Yup."
Willow gushed. "Aww, we're going to see you as a baby. I bet you were cute."
"No…I was a hot baby." Pacifica retorted.
In that moment, everyone began to stare at her in disgust. "Oh my god!" Dipper exclaimed.
"What?!"
"You should never call a baby hot even if it's you!" Dr Lake exclaimed.
"My Titan! I forgot how insufferable you were!" Dipper groaned.
"That is just so wrong!" Hunter said before Dr Lake pulled the tape measure and then vanished with everyone.
In the corridor of the Gravity Falls hospital. An older Purse Lady from New York was there looking through the window where all the newborn babies were in their cribs just moaning and sleeping peacefully.
"Aww! My little grandchild! How can anyone ruin a day this perfect?" But the day was ruined when the five arrived in a blinding flash, causing the woman to clasp on her chest. "Oh my Lord! The Devil's Agents have returned!" She ran away to get help while Pacifica was baffled.
"Uh…Who was that?" Pacifica asked.
"Some woman whom we've terrified 22 years ago." Dr Singer replied. "So if she starts throwing holy water…Just stand there to let her know how ridiculous she's being. Right I'm off." She began walking down the corridor, causing Willow and Hunter some suspicion.
He teleported in front of her while Willow readied her magic. "Where are you going?" Hunter asked.
"You better not be going where I think you're going." Willow said.
"You mean the vending machine?" Dr Lake asked.
Hunter and Willow lowered their staffs. "Oh."
"I mean, all that time travelling is making me famished." Dr Lake explained. "Do you lot want anything?"
"I'll have a soda." Dipper said.
"I'll have a candy bar." Hunter replied.
"I'll have a pack of N&N's." Willow said.
"Vending machine food make you fat." Pacifica scoffed. "Just get me a protein bar."
"Coming right up." Dr Singer began walking toward the vending machine and checking her pockets for money.
During the wait for both Singer and Comet, Willow and Pacifica were looking at the window at the newborn babies. "Aww, human babies look so adorable." Willow remarked. "Which one's you?"
"The one that came out flawlessly." Pacifica replied.
Willow looked at the babies with squinted eyes. "Uh….You mean the ugly blonde one?"
"No, the gorgeous blonde one." Pacifica retorted.
Willow squinted her eyes. "Uh….I only see one blonde baby."
"What?!" Pacifica exclaimed as she pressed her face against the window. "We're in the wrong hospital!"
"But I see your name." Willow said.
"No, you were actually born as a bit of an ugly baby." Dipper informed her. "Your parents just took pictures of a more flawless blonde baby which is lucky because only 2% of the human population are born blonde. But that baby was actually a boy so…"
"What?!" Pacifica exclaimed. "Uh! Why does my family suck?!"
"They just do. Believe me." Dipper said.
Hunter then walked up to Dipper. "Listen Dipper, we are meant to trust each other right?"
"Of course we are." Dipper said.
"And you trust me and Willow, right?" Hunter asked as he narrowed his eyes at Dipper.
"Of course I do." Dipper said.
"Then what did she tell you to get you trust her?" Hunter asked.
"A horrifying secret I don't wish to share with you or Willow." Dipper replied.
"What?!" Hunter and Willow exclaimed.
"Do you not trust us?!" Willow asked angrily.
"I do trust you, but not enough to keep this secret." Dipper replied.
"Is it the location of the shard?!" Hunter asked. "Because you've been very unclear about its whereabouts."
"Yeah! Yunan and Grime need it to get home." Willow said.
"Look, I'd love to tell you but…I'm afraid that somehow you might give up this information." Dipper said.
"We wouldn't!" Hunter argued. "We would have kept our lips shut."
"Yeah!" Willow exclaimed. "Unless we were injected with truth serum. But still, we would have kept it!"
"Look guys, I do trust you, just not with a few secrets!" Dipper argued. "Hell, I don't even trust Grunkle Stan and Mabel with a few secrets."
"But could you at least give us a clue as to what did she tell you?" Willow asked.
Dipper groaned. "I can't. I'm so deeply ashamed about what I did. Understand that in 13 years on this year, I do something I will forever regret and be ashamed. Only three people know about this. Singer, Mabel and Pacifica."
"I don't!" Pacifica exclaimed with her hand raised.
"Not yet so don't ask her." Dipper said.
"I am curious as to what this secret is though." Pacifica said.
"You won't know till we're…." Dipper froze. "….Spoiler alert."
"Till we're what?" Pacifica asked. "I mean, I am going to forget about it anyway. Plus, you know about my embarrassing secret. I play an RPG."
"Isn't an RPG a dangerous Human weapon?" Willow asked.
"No, Bloodcraft is an online role playing game. Or RPG for short." Dipper said.
"Shouldn't it be ORPG?" Hunter asked.
"That acronym doesn't work apparently." Dipper replied. "Look, Pacifica….Oh boy, I can't wait to see your reaction."
"Why?" Pacifica asked.
"Well, since you will forget about it as soon as this mission is done and you can go back to being spoilt and rich."
Pacifica scoffed. "Well, you haven't changed in the years."
"Well, the reason why I knew that dark secret of yours was because you and I dated." Dipper response made Pacifica's jaw drop. "I was also your first kiss." Her jaw dropped wider. "And you were also mine."
Pacifica was still in shock over this revelation. "What?! No way! That's impossible!"
Suddenly, Dr Singer arrived with the snacks in hand. "Okay, I'm not sure what soda you wanted, boss. So I got you…" She turned to the window and gasped, causing her to drop the snacks. "I got you, you witch!"
They looked at the room to see Comet drawing a spell circle and causing the door to lock. "Ha! Glad you guys were distracted."
Dipper and Singer pulled out their respective weapons, the couple pulled out their staffs while Pacifica didn't have any weapons so she just aimed her phone.
Comet grinned as she picked up the baby. "You can't stop me now." She then began to stare at the sleeping baby while Dr Singer and Dipper were hesitant to shoot the glass.
"Well, shoot the glass!" Pacifica demanded. "I'm in there!"
"We can't risk getting the babies hurt." Dr Singer said. "That witch got us by the throat."
"Not for long." Hunter was about to teleport through the wall but then Comet put the baby down.
"You know what, on second thought." Comet said. "I can't kill a baby."
"Wait, what?" Hunter and everyone else reacted in surprise.
"Look, taking a look at the baby made me realise that I can't kill a baby." Comet explained. "I mean, you gotta agree that's messed up, right?"
"Oh yeah, totally." Dipper said.
"Really horrendous." Dr Singer said.
"Come on, that is fudged up." Willow agreed.
"But what if the person grows up to be evil?" Hunter asked.
"Ohhhhh!" Comet groaned. "Now you're giving me a conundrum! You know what, I know I'm a messed up individual but I'm not that messed up." She put the baby down. "Man, that is one ugly baby." She pulled the tape measure and then vanished.
"You know for a psychopath, least she has standards." Dipper said.
"Okay…I found out where she is next." Dr Singer said. "Gravity Falls library. August 15th, 2015. I wonder what she's doing there. Didn't think of her as a library person."
"Okay, let's go!" Dipper said before Dr Singer pulled the tape measure and then vanished.
Gravity Falls library, August 15th 2023, 15 year old Pacifica was in the library reading a book while on the phone to her boyfriend.
"An author?" The young Pacifica asked. "You want to be an author?" She sighed. "Well, I guess I could try law school but getting into it is expensive. So, I'll stick with working at Susan's. Maybe I'll get a yoga instructor job as well. Maybe on the weekends."
While young Pacifica spoke, Dipper, Hunter, Willow, Dr Singer and younger Pacifica suddenly showed up behind a few book cases.
"Okay, remember this a library, so we must be quiet." Dr Singer said.
"What?!" Pacifica screamed wildly. "What do you mean you and I dated?!" She narrowed her eyes at the grown man.
Dipper, Willow, Hunter and Dr Singer hushed her angrily. "Please hush, we don't want any interference."
"But I'm shocked because I go on dating this dork!" Pacifica yelled.
"Hey! Be quiet this is a library!" The older Pacifica demanded.
"Why don't you mind your own business!" Pacifica demanded.
"Mind my own business?! You're the one causing a scene!"
"And you're acknowledging me instead of ignoring me!"
The older Pacifica scoffed. "God, she sounds so familiar." She went back on the phone. "Sorry Dipper, someone was being a nuisance."
Dipper snapped his fingers. "Huh, so that's who she was yelling at that day."
Pacifica pointed her finger aggressively at Dipper while twitching her eye. "I can not be dating you at some point in the future!"She whispered. "You're weird, you're a dork and I bet the only person you kissed is an alien! Maybe if you're the way you are now, then maybe!"
"Pacifica, unfortunately, it's inevitable." Dr Singer said.
"What?!" Pacifica said. "But I don't even like the way he was at 12! Like, what proof does he have that we got together!"
Dipper pulled out his phone and began to show Pacifica photos of him and her together. He showed a photo of them at some school dance, a photo of them sleeping on the couch together while Mabel took a selfie and one of her and Dipper on a boat together.
The 13 year old Pacifica stared at the photo album in shock. She snatched the phone out of Dipper's hand and began to swipe every photo in the phone while Dipper just gave a smug look. "No!" Pacifica threw the phone over the bookshelf, causing it to land on the older Pacifica's head, causing her to be knocked out.
"And that explains why she had a bruise on the back of her head." Dipper sighed. "I'm gonna get my phone." He walked towards the unconscious Pacifica and took the phone. "Sorry." He then took one last glance at the unconscious teen and sighed sadly. "I'm so sorry."
The younger Pacifica rested her back against the shelf and held on to her head. "No. No." She said in denial.
"It's inevitable." Willow said teasingly.
"Shut up." Pacifica retorted.
"You'll forget about it." Dr Singer said. "When I remember the Forget-It-Stick."
"But how did I fall in love with Dipper?!" Pacifica asked. "Did he put some love spell on me? Did I drink some strong chardonnay? Was this what happened when I first tried caviar?! How did I end up with him?! Hunter, do you know?!"
"Well, when he appeared in your life, he made you happier." Hunter said.
"Is that what he told you?" Pacifica asked.
"Well, that's what you told me." Hunter replied.
"Yeah, right." Pacifica scoffed in denial.
"Okay, what was your last adventure with Dipper?" Hunter asked.
"Well, me and him had to get his sister's face back because I kind of had it stolen by a monster known as Mr-Whats-His-Face because I got my first wrinkle and I wanted to be pretty." Pacifica replied.
"Vanity much?" Dr Singer retorted.
"You keep out of this!" Pacifica demanded. "And after that adventure, I accidentally texted his sister saying that I hugged him. And she keeps insisting that I'm in love with him. I'm not in love with Dipper."
"Right." Hunter said with a smug smile. "Okay, if you're not in love then how does Dipper make you feel?"
Pacifica just scoffed. "Oh I could write a list! Okay, when he's being a dork I feel indifferent and intrigued at what stupid yet insightful stuff he learnt about the paranormal. His retorts make me offended yet impressed at how he has a comeback for every insult I hurl at him. When he says something nice about me…." She began to play with her hair while her cheeks turned red. "….I don't know what I feel. I feel my stomach turn. Pfft, but he's not attractive as the boys in my private school. But then again, they don't have that messy brown hair, they don't have that cute little blush at the end of his nose and how he's always genuine with his comments about me, even the mean ones; They just…." She realised something important. "…I'm in love with him."
Hunter just laughed. "You are."
Pacifica shoulder nudged him. "How did you do that you jerk?!"
"I learnt from someone close to me." Hunter replied.
"I guess I taught you that trick so you could teach me." Pacifica said.
"No, it was Wendy."
Pacifica raised a brow. "Who?"
While Hunter and Pacifica spoke, Willow approached Dr Singer whom was looking at the books on display. She flipped through the pages of a book called God, Margaret's Wondering If You're There and put it back. "Too many pages."
"Listen Dr Singer, what did you do to make Dipper trust you?" Willow asked.
Dr Singer sighed. "Uh, you two have spent too much time with him."
"But what did he do to make him trust you?" Willow asked. "Because we need more than that to make us trust you."
Dr Singer sighed. "Look, Mrs Park…Sorry, Ms Park. Spoiler alert. Dipper's secret is very regrettable. He can't even bring himself to admit it. His sister, constantly reminds him of this disaster in his life."
"Well, thanks for letting me know I get married." Willow said before realising something. "Wait, we've met?"
"Oh yes." Dr Singer replied. "You and your spouse."
"Is it me?" Hunter exclaimed in excitement. "Not that it's possible but…Are we living together with Clover and Flapjack."
Dr Singer took a sad glance between Flapjack and Clover and looked back towards Willow. "Spoiler alert." But the way she said her catchphrase was kind of sad. "But, I guess he's not here so…I guess I can show you what he did. And Pacifica, don't forget the Forget-It-Stick."
"Got it." Pacifica said.
Dr Singer began reached into her breast pocket to pull out a small piece of paper but was interrupted when Dipper returned. "What's going on?"
Dr Singer quickly put the photo back in her pocket. "Doesn't matter. How is she?"
"She's okay." Dipper said. "She just has a bruise on the back of her head. Which might explain how she got that mark on the back of her head."
Suddenly, they heard the sound of Comet appearing. "Let's go, she's here." Dipper said.
They ran from the corner of the shelf and saw Comet about to kill the unconscious teenager until Dipper shot her in the hair.
"Ow!" Comet began to fire off some sparkles, but they dodged the blast, causing it to hit the window which shattered.
Then Willow summoned a vine and whipped the witch in the stomach, causing her to fly backwards into a bookshelf. She stood up and was about to attack but then Hunter teleported and held her by the arms.
Comedy just elbowed him in the stomach and managed to free herself before Dr Singer fired her with a soundwave that sent her backwards into a wall. Then, as she was getting up, she was punched in the face by Pacifica.
The witch narrowed her eyes at the tween whom now realised her mistake as she backed away slowly. "Sorry."
Then Comet gritted her teeth. "You're a real pain in my neck." She picked up the tape measure and then vanished.
"Where's she gone now?!" Pacifica asked.
She looked at the tracking device. "In the middle of Lake Gravity Falls on The Big Dipper. June 16th 2019."
"Oh yeah, mine and Pacifica's boat trip." Dipper said.
"What's so special about it?" Pacifica asked.
"Oh, you got attacked by a werewolf and I had to deal with you being very hairy for a while." Dipper replied.
"Wait, what?!" Pacifica exclaimed.
"Don't worry, you're no longer a werewolf." Dipper assured her but then got sad which Pacifica noticed.
"Okay, we arrived few minutes earlier." Dr Singer said. "Let's go." They vanished into thin air and into the future.
When they arrived on the boat, which happened to be a really nice yacht, that had blue and pink stripes.
They stood on the stern looking out to the shiny yet filthy waters in front of them. "Okay, how long till Comet shows up?" Hunter asked.
"In a few minutes." Dr Singer said. "And by our luck we get into scuffle and then we go back to the past or the future and rinse and repeat."
"It's sounding repetitive." Hunter said.
"She could catch on to it." Willow said.
"Well let's hope it doesn't come to that conclusion." Dr Singer said. "Right, what's the plan Boss?"
"Why don't you and Willow and Hunter go into the cabin and wait around for my signal." He clicked his fingers four time while looking around the lake. "And judging by this time me and you are on the bow."
"The what?" Pacifica asked.
"The front." Dipper said. "You learn about a lot of ship etiquette from me. Speaking of, you're coming with me to the bow." Dipper motioned her to follow him which she reluctantly did.
"Alright you two." Dr Singer said. "Down the cabin ye go." She laughed at how she talked like a pirate and then cringed. "Yup, I'm his apprentice."
"I don't get the joke." Hunter said.
"Me neither." Willow said as she and Hunter followed her into the cabin. "Maybe it's an inside joke among humans."
But unbeknownst to them, Comet was hanging on the chain that connected the anchor listening to every word. "So, that's how it works. Good thing I kept track of their pattern and went back a few minutes as soon as I arrived."
Meanwhile, Dipper and the tween version of Pacifica were walking along the the deck as quiet as possible straight towards the bow.
"Okay, okay, there is no way I gotten together with you." Pacifica said. "How did you make me fall in love with you?"
"I don't know, you just did." Dipper said.
"I did?!" Pacifica exclaimed. "I just admitted my feelings to you towards Hunter. Well, your younger self not your adult self. As hot as you are, you're too old."
"You don't think I have standards when it comes to dating?" Dipper asked. "I've only dated two women."
Pacifica scoffed. "Two?! Wow! Guess I dodged a bullet and dumped you." In that moment, Dipper froze in place, causing Pacifica to stop as well. Instead of questioning, she just scoffed. "What? Don't tell me you saw something interesting."
"No, I just need you to be quiet." Dipper said before he grabbed Pacifica by her arm and pulled her in the cockpit.
"Hey, why are we in the captain's room?" Pacifica asked.
"Cockpit." Dipper corrected her.
"Wait, that's what it's called?" Pacifica scoffed.
"Come on, don't think that, look." Dipper pointed to him at laying on a deckchair in his Pine tree swimming trunks letting the sunbathe. "We don't wish to draw attention to ourselves." Dipper whispered. "I may look relaxed right now but my ears are always on high alert." But Pacifica wasn't listening and was instead staring at future Dipper while blushing.
The sun was shining on his abs causing them to glow in the sunlight. But then, he picked up a cold can of Pitt cola and began pressed it to his head.
Present Dipper began sweating as he felt the heat. "Wow, I forgot how it was that day."
"Take it off." Pacifica said.
"No." Dipper said.
"Knew I was asking for too much." Pacifica said. "So anyway, where am I?"
"Oh, you're out swimming in the lake." Dipper replied.
"Why aren't I joining you?" Pacifica asked.
"Well, you always liked to make an entrance." Dipper replied.
"Huh?"
Dipper looked at his watch. "In five…four…three….two….one. Look at the ladder."
Pacifica in that moment, dropped her jaw at what she was seeing. A woman possibly in her mid twenties and dressed in a pink bikini, was climbing up the ladder on to deck with water dripping from her body and long and natural blonde hair.
The younger version of Dipper sat up on his deck chair and began to stare at his girlfriend who just squeezed her hair to get some water out. She gave her boyfriend a flirtatious look, causing him to cross his legs.
Younger Pacifica was still in shock with what she was seeing. "Dipper?"
"Yes?" The stunned present Dipper responded.
"Is that me?" Pacifica asked.
"Well, you're the only person who I've ever met who has natural blonde hair." Dipper replied.
"I mean, I knew I'd grew up to be hot but this…." She was still in disbelief at how attractive she was going to get when she grew up. "…And I'm dating you in the future?"
"Yes."
Pacifica was still stunned. "I mean, how could I date someone like you? I mean, with looks like that and skin as shiny and hair as naturally hot….It just makes me realise you are just a lucky son of a bitch."
The much older Pacifica held her hand out. "Hey dork, towel."
The stunned 19 year old Dipper, whom was still staring at her managed to reach for her towel and walked towards the deck.
She took the towel out of her hand and wrapped it around his back, pulling him close towards her. She pulled a flirtatious grin as she smiled at her smitten boyfriend. "What you staring at Pines?"
"A beautiful sight." Dipper replied.
"Describe it." Older Pacifica pulled him in closer.
The nearly twenty year old stuttered. "Well, it's blue. So, it's definitely not you."
"Don't be embarrassed Pines…" She leaned in close to her face. "….My eyes are blue."
His cheeks brightened up before his girlfriend dropped the towel and then wrapped her arms around his back and began kissing him on the lips. He returned it, still flustered by her little flirty act.
"Why you….This is unbelievable." Pacifica said. "Like, you have to be in control of me."
"I swear I'm not." Dipper said.
They continued watching and saw the couple pull out of the kiss. "So, assure me Pines, you aren't controlling me by any chance?"
"I'll assume you're aware of the love potion in the journal." Dipper said. "But I didn't use it. I used something more powerful and more productive."
"Mmm, what's that, Pines?" She asked as she wrapped her arms around him.
"My intellect and dorky personality and your thing for supernatural investigators." Nineteen year old Dipper replied.
"That better be the response Pines." She rested her head on his bare chest while Dipper wrapped his hand on her bare back. But then, Pacifica looked off into the lake with a worried look on her face. "Dipper, you ever get the awful feeling that this isn't real?"
Dipper's smile vanished as he looked at his girlfriend. "Why would you say this?"
"I don't mean to sound expository, but I don't live with my parents any longer, I have a career I actually like, I have friends that are real and I'm in a relationship with you and you've been amazing for six amazing years."
"Do you feel so happy that you're scared this world isn't real?" Dipper asked.
"Yeah." Pacifica replied. "I want this to be real Dipper. Is it?"
Dipper smiled at his girlfriend. "Well, if it were perfect then we wouldn't be dealing with paranormal incidents every few weeks or have had those arguments or wouldn't have Mabel interrupt us. If you ask me, a flawless world isn't a real world, but a flawed one is perfect enough."
Pacifica smiled at her boyfriend. "You say some of the dorkiest things yet they always make me feel better."
"And how happy are you?" Dipper asked.
"Very." The two went back to kissing each other while a tearful future Dipper watched on while tween Pacifica was in surprise at how happy she looked in the future.
At the moment, the tween felt tears falling from her eyes as she continued to see her future happy self. She smiled at the sight. "Oh my god. I'm happy. I don't believe it. I was afraid that being separated from my parents would cause me some form of unhappiness. I guess being in love with you…." She saw that Dipper was crying which caused her some concern. "Dipper?"
"I'm so sorry."
"For pulling me through time?" Pacifica chuckled. "Don't worry, I'm gonna forget it."
"Not that." He looked at his deceased girlfriend sadly while the tween stared at her in confusion.
But then, she quickly realised something. "Wait, you said we dated. I may not be smart but I know past tense. Dipper, what do you mean we dated?"
Dipper gave Pacifica a sad look and sighed. "Pacifica, I know I'm revealing too much about your future. But at some point, you go to Hunter and Willow's home to stop their tyrannical leader from killing everyone in their Realm. Then, you tried to protect someone named Luz. She's a human who wants to be a witch who was trying to take down Belos. You two fought the monster but then you died protecting her."
Pacifica gasped. "I died?"
"I wasn't there because I was having my own issues…" He showed her his prosthetic hand. "…So I couldn't make it. But I wish I was." He wiped his tears away. "I wish I could have saved you but I didn't! And now, Luz is reeling from the guilt of being unable to save you that she is interesting in committing suicide. It's my fault. If I was there! If I was there! Then, you wouldn't be dead and Luz would be willing to live. I…" Dipper wiped more tears. "….I'm so sorry."
The horrified Pacifica was at first shocked and terrified with what was being told to her but seeing Dipper cry over her demise was what got her the most. She then, wrapped Dipper in a hug and began to gently shush him.
"I forgive you." She said. "I forgive you." She hugged him tighter than before instead of being angry like she usually would.
Meanwhile in the cabin, Dr Singer gave the kids some Pitt Cola as a refreshment. "Here you go. You're going to need this."
Hunter and Willow began drinking the soda with Singer following behind. She then froze as she felt something in her throat. She spat out the pit that was in the cola and smiled as if she realised something.
"Oh yes. I forgot they didn't recall the pit till 2029." Dr Singer said. "Oh and sorry, spoiler alert."
But Willow and Hunter were still staring at her with suspicion as they still didn't trust her. Dr Singer did not ignore that and instead just sighed. "Okay, I guess you wish to know about what the secret is."
"We do!" Hunter exclaimed. "What is it?"
"Did he commit genocide?" Willow asked.
"Does he know the meaning of life?" Hunter asked.
"Dipper's not his real name?!" Willow exclaimed. "Wait, we already know that."
"No, Dipper didn't do anything bad." Dr Singer replied. "It's just a really embarrassing moment in his life that he has regretted more than that one time his girlfriend found him hanging with the Manotaurs." She reached into her breast pocket to pull out what looked like a polaroid photograph. "Now, I want you to understand, that this is a stupid decision he made. And I don't want you to tell anyone about it. Or otherwise, I will use the Forget-It-Stick to forget that your own existence."
"Understandable." Hunter said.
"Go ahead." Willow said.
Dr Singer showed the witch and Grimwalker the polaroid of a young Dipper giving a merman reverse CPR. This sight just made Willow and Hunter confused.
"This is embarrassing?" Willow asked. "He's just kissing a Merman."
"No, he's giving him reverse CPR even though the lake was like 10 feet away from them." Dr Singer replied.
"This is his secret?" Hunter asked. "I thought he committed genocide or something!"
"Wow, jumping to a harsh conclusion." Dr Singer said. "He showed me this photograph and told me the whole story as a way to show me that he trusts me with his life. It was after our adventure on the Singing Towers of Drundum. We fought someone who wanted to sell those towers for profit and ridding a native tribe of their sacred artefact. But after that mission, he told me that he trusted me with his life and told me that secret. He had unique ways of telling people he trusted them." She seemed saddened as she told her story that the couple swore there were tears that were about to fall down her face that she quickly wiped away. "Sorry."
"It's fine." Hunter said. "Do you need anything?"
Suddenly, they heard the sound of four knocks coming from outside, causing people some alarm. "That's the signal!" Dr Singer said before she, Hunter and Willow ran out.
Hunter was the last to run out but in that moment, Comet jumped down above him and grabbed him by his chest and mouth.
Dr Singer and Willow quickly turned around and readied their weapons. "Comet!"
"You think I wouldn't see the pattern by now?" She asked.
Then, Dipper and Pacifica arrived back. "What?" Pacifica reacted.
Dipper pulled out his laser blaster and aimed it at the witch. "Let him go Comet."
"No, Pacifica has been a thorn in my side for too long." Comet explained. "I knew that if I kept going after her throughout time then my mission won't come to fruition. So, I'm giving up on that and moving on to kill Hunter."
Hunter tried to struggle from the grasp of his predecessor while Flapjack began pecking her. "Ow! Ow!" She grabbed the Palisman and tossed it aside. "Stupid bird."
"Flapjack!" Hunter screamed through her hand.
"He's fine!" Dr Singer assured him. "He's fine. It's not his time."
"Now, if you excuse me, I'm going to go back to a point in time where me and him can have a nice chat and you better not follow." Comet was pulling out the Time Machine from her pocket. "Now, where should I go? Or when, shall we go?" She laughed at her little joke. "Now, I want all of you to go back to your time so I can teach this little brat a lesson!"
"You think we'd back down that easily?" Dr Singer asked.
"Okay, I'll go back." Dipper said.
"What?!" Dr Singer exclaimed.
"What?!" Willow asked angrily. "What are you doing Dipper?!"
"Is this because of the photograph?!" Hunter asked. "You petty…"
"Hunter, you and Willow were going to find out about it eventually." Dipper said.
"Boss, what are you doing?" Dr Singer asked with desperation.
"You trust me don't you?" Dipper asked.
"What?" Dr Singer asked.
"Do you trust me?!" Dipper gave his apprentice a serious glare before he pulled her in and began to whisper something in her ear. She froze and gasped at the information he was giving her.
"Why will this work?!" Dr Singer asked through her gritted teeth.
"Just trust me." Dipper said before he pulled on her Time Machine and then she vanished into thin air, causing Willow and Pacifica to gasp.
"What the hell Dipper?!" Willow exclaimed.
Comet was even impressed. "Okay, that was unexpected. Like, I did not anticipate that you'd stupidly gave up your way home."
Suddenly, Dr Singer showed up behind Comet. "Yeah, how stupid can you be, Boss?"
Comet turned around and got punched in the face by the scientist, causing her to release Hunter. "What?!" Willow exclaimed.
"You think I didn't have a plan?" Dipper asked with a grin.
"Yes, it was a little convoluted." Dr Singer explained while Hunter ran up to his girlfriend to hug her while Flapjack snuggled his owner. "Dipper whispered a plan into my ear. So, he pulled my Time Machine and I ended up at the point a few minutes before they arrived. When I arrived, him and her were watching his younger self and her older self play Dungeons, Dungeons and More Dungeons together. They didn't have graph paper so they were drawing on their bodies which was kind of an uncomfortably awkward watch."
"Tell me about it." Pacifica said.
"Yeah, now I'm embarrassed to know that there were people that were there." Dipper said.
"Anyway, after I stopped getting distracted, I explained to them the plan that he told me so that way he could relay it back to me." Dr Singer explained. "And then, I knocked her out."
"So wait, Dipper sent you back in time to tell him to tell you the plan that you just executed so that way we could beat her?" Willow asked.
"So you told her to tell you to tell her to tell you to do that plan?" Hunter asked.
"I know, time travel is a cruel and tipsy mistress." Dr Singer said.
"I couldn't agree more." Comet agreed before grabbing Dr Singer.
"No!" Dipper exclaimed as he aimed his weapon.
Comet pulled out her Time Machine and grinned. "You're coming with me."
"Dipper…." Despite struggling with her grasp, Dr Singer managed to throw Dipper her Time Machine that he caught. "…Go back to your time and meet me on the mountains!"
"What?" Dipper reacted.
"Trust me!" She said before vanishing with Comet.
Dipper, Pacifica, Hunter and Willow froze. "Where did they go?" Pacifica asked.
"When." Willow corrected her. "When did they go?"
Turns out, they arrived at Yucatán Peninsula, Mexico, in the year 64, 977, 977 BC where a bunch of dinosaurs such as velociraptors and T-Rexes were running in fear.
Comet stood up and cracked her neck before Dr Singer tackled her to the ground and began to punch her repeatedly in the face. "I'm seriously getting sick to death of this!"
Then, Comet fired some sparkles into her stomach, sending her flying backwards. She shot back up off the ground and showed her her Time Machine. "You want this don't you? Only way you'll get back home."
Dr Singer pulled out her blaster and tried blasting the witch but she only fired some sparkles straight at her that the good doctor avoided while running towards her.
Comet quickly tried to hit her again with more sparkles but she avoided every single one of them while the exhausted Comet struggled to defeat her.
So instead of continuing, Comet and Dr Singer engaged in a fist fight. The doctor hit her in the face then with a super punch before the witch retaliated with a head butt that knocked the doctor to the ground.
The doctor kicked her in the stomach region, causing her to drop to her knees. The doctor tried to hit her in the face but then, she quickly caught the wrist. "Ha!" She exclaimed before Dr Singer hit her in the face again, knocking her to the ground.
The managed to reach for her Time Machine but the doctor quickly disarmed her and took it from her. "Nice try. I'd take you with me but…You'd just continue to try and kill Hunter so….Enjoy your life for 50 minutes." She said while looking at the sky.
Comet was baffled. "What?"
"Spoiler alert." Dr Singer said before vanishing.
Comet stood up angry and confused. "What do you mean 50 seconds?!" She looked up at the sky and saw not just giant bugs and pterodactyls, but a ginormous asteroid about to hit the planet. "Oh." She just smiled. "On the bright side, I don't have to face the wrath of Belos." Tears fell from her eyes as the asteroid made impact on the planet. Not just wiping out the dinosaurs, but Comet as well.
Dr Singer arrived on top of a mountain in Gravity Falls on September 7th, 2020. She gave an exhale relived that the mission was finally over. "We did it boss. We did it."
Dipper arrived where Dr Singer was and grinned. "Thank god you were at the first one I climbed."
Dr Singer smiled. "Well this was always your favourite. I mean look at that view."
The teacher and his future apprentice looked at the view of Gravity Falls in the distance, amazed by its sheer beauty. "Yeah. It's amazing." Dipper took a glance at Dr Singer and sighed. "I'm not even going to ask why you sometimes refer to me in past tense."
Dr Singer chuckled. "Of course." She then pulled out a pen and paper and wrote something down. "Here." She handed Dipper the model number of the Time Machine and it read A-113.
"A-113?" Dipper asked.
"Dr Jackson was an admirer of animation." Dr Singer replied.
"So, now what?" Dipper asked. "You gotta return to your own time."
"Yes." Dr Singer replied. "The Forget-It-Stick and my husband and kids. Or at least I should."
Dipper stared at her in confusion. "What do you mean?"
Dr Singer pulled out the Time Machine from her pocket and showed that it was now set to a timer. It said there were six minutes left on it.
This caused Dipper to be alarmed. "Dr Singer?"
"It's a self destruct sequence." Dr Singer explained. "If it blows up, it will cause an explosion as strong and as powerful as the Big Bang. Which means it would destroy the entire universe when it explodes."
Dipper pulled out his sonic tool to try and deactivate it. "Can it be deactivated?"
"Dipper, I know you probably don't want to believe it, but it can't be deactivated." Dr Singer replied.
But Dipper was in denial that he couldn't do it. "No! No. I can do it. Lake I can do this."
"Boss." Dr Singer looked like she was about to cry. "You can't."
Dipper stopped using his device and quickly narrowed his eyes at her. "There's gotta be a way, Dr Singer. Please tell me there's another way!"
Dr Singer gave a sad look. "There isn't. I'm sorry Boss. But you know that if this bomb has the power to cause a blast as powerful as the Big Bang then that means…"
"No!" Dipper tried to pull it out of her hand but she quickly kicked him on to his rear. He was about to stand up, but stopped when she aimed her weapon at him.
"Dipper, listen, I know you want to save me." Dr Singer said. "But you can't. You know you can't."
"Lake, there's gotta be a way!" Dipper exclaimed.
"Dipper, if you wish to help you have to do two things for me." Dr Singer said. "There is a way back to the Demon Realm. A rebus lies in the cabin at the back of the Noceda house. Amity is the one that finds it and she and the others figure out the puzzle so be careful not to interfere."
Dipper froze. "What? Why didn't you tell me or Luz at first instance?"
"It just didn't suit the timeline." Dr Singer replied.
"But what Luz dies?" Dipper asked. "What if she dies before she gets back to save everyone?!"
"Dipper, she needs to be in the Demon Realm to die." Dr Singer said.
Dipper froze when he heard that statement. "What?!"
"Dipper, I know this might sound harsh but Luz needs to die in the Demon Realm." Dr Singer explained. "Her death is the only way she can save the Demon Realm from destruction."
"What do you mean she needs to die?!" Dipper asked with desperation in his voice. "How will her death bring a positive outcome to the Demon Realm?!"
Dr Singer smiled. "Spoiler alert." She pulled the tape measure to go back to the very beginning leaving Dipper saddened and horrified. His future apprentice vanished right in front of him to save the universe even though it will kill her.
As Dipper walked down the mountain, he began to think back to the last things she told him. The rebus in the cabin at the back of the Noceda residence and the fact Luz is going to die. He wondered how he could help find the rebus and bring Hunter and Willow to Gravesfield without interfering in some kind of timeline. But worst of all, he was going to have to let Luz die. Was this her destiny?
When he got to the bottom, he was greeted by the White Wolf who looked saddened. "You learnt her destiny?"
"Yeah." Dipper sighed. "How? Why?! Why does she need to die?! How does her death save the Demon Realm?!"
"I can not give that away." The Wolf replied.
"Is there another way?"
"No." The White Wolf said. "I know you feel bad for failing to save Pacifica and Dr Singer but their deaths weren't your fault. It is the way the universe decided their fates. Even Luz's."
"Why?! Why does she need to die?!" Dipper asked as tears fell from his eyes. "She is going through so much right now how is death gonna make things better?! I've watched her Dad die right in front of me and now I have to watch her die?! I can't allow it!"
"But you know it is inevitable." The White Wolf said.
Dipper sighed. "Yes. It is." He began walking back to the Shack until he realised something important he missed. "Wait a sec. You said you'd tell me."
"No, I said we'd meet for the first time." The White Wolf explained. "And I also told you from my perspective I have already told you and you were to learn it."
Dipper stared at her in confusion. "I must have missed like 60 minutes of my life. What do you mean you've told me? When have you told me?"
"Six minutes ago before I vanished to create the Big Bang."
In that moment, Dipper realised who this White Wolf was. He backed away in surprise and disbelief. "No. It can't be."
The White Wolf, now revealed to be Dr Singer reincarnated smiled. "Hello, Boss."
Dipper just smiled. "What about the Forget-It-Stick?"
The White Wolf laughed. "Spoiler alert." It laughed even harder before running away. "See you when Evelyn is born."
"Remind me is she my daughter?!" Dipper yelled.
"Spoiler alert!" The White Wolf called back.
Dipper just smiled and laughed as he walked back to the Shack. When he arrived he was seeing the tween Pacifica talking to Wendy and a man and a woman who appeared to descend from some sort of Asian heritage.
"So….You two are like a thing?" Pacifica asked.
"Yeah, me, Rev and Rocky are a thrupple." Wendy explained.
"Doesn't that seem like a lot of work?" Pacifica asked. "I mean, that means more anniversaries and more birthdays and more Christmases."
In that moment, Wendy's new girlfriend got angry. "Do you wanna die you little brat?!"
"Rev!" Wendy and Rev's boyfriend, Rocky interjected. "Why don't we go to Wendy's place?"
"Sure, why not?" Rev responded before she, Wendy and Rocky began to walk back to her place.
"How do you two feel about a bad movie marathon?" Wendy asked.
Dipper arrived to the young Pacifica with a baffled look. "Is Wendy now in a polyamorous relationship?"
"A what? What?" Pacifica asked.
Dipper snapped his fingers. "Oh yeah, 2012. Not relevant yet. So, you know what's going to happen to you in the future, how do you feel?"
Pacifica looked at the ground. "Well, I'm scared of my inevitable death at the hands of Belos?" She shook her head. "But I guess the bright side to it all is, I was finally happy. Though I'll unfortunately forget it. But regardless, Dipper, thanks for showing that my future will be better."
Dipper smiled. "You're welcome. Hey, where are Hunter and Willow?" But she didn't answer the question as she suddenly wrapped her arms around Dipper's leg in a hug.
"I hope I make you happy as well." Pacifica said.
"I always told you every week." Dipper said to the tween.
Then, Hunter and Willow ran out of the shack with a stick in their hand. "Dipper!" Hunter exclaimed.
Dipper saw the stick in Hunter's hand and raised a brow. "What's this?" Dipper asked.
Hunter shows Dipper a black stick that said 'Forget-It-Stick.' It kind of looked like a black baseball bat. "Huh, not as futuristic as I thought it was. How does it work? Do I just hit you over the head with it?"
"If you do, I'll sue you!" Pacifica exclaimed.
"Who gave you this?" Dipper asked.
"McGucket said that some old woman gave it to him eight years ago." Willow replied. "She told him to give it to Hunter on this exact day. She also said, the button helps activate an energy beam that shoots out the tip after you type in the specific memory."
"She also wanted to give you this." Hunter handed a piece of paper to Dipper. "I didn't open it because."
"Okay." Dipper said as he took the letter out of his hand. "Okay you two, you know how the machine works?"
"We saw you use it." Willow said. "We have the right idea."
"You sure?" Dipper asked.
"Don't worry about us, we got it." Hunter assured him. "We'll be back two minutes after we leave. You ready Pacifica?"
Dipper handed Willow the bat while Hunter prepared the Time Machine. He pulled the tape before he, Willow and Pacifica vanished.
Once they were gone, Dipper opened the piece of paper and began to read the writing. It read 'Thought you could use this stick. Good luck getting back to the Demon Realm. I'm waiting.' The message ended with three X's, two drawings of lips, five more X's and a drawing of a mini drawing of Pacifica blowing a kiss.
In that moment, Dipper froze in shock and disbelief. His heart beat faster than ever before as he stared at the message from the woman whom he wasn't so sure was his deceased girlfriend. No, this has to be a joke. She's dead. She's been dead. But how is this message from her?
Dipper put the message in his pocket and walked back into the Shack, still trying to get his around everything that has happened.
