(Hey everyone! I hold no rights to any Harry potter, Don't know how that little speech is supposed to go, but this is my little take on the HP world. What would have happened if Ron Died the first Halloweens night? Also thank you for taking the time to read these. i don't know how often ill upload but ill be working on them. They will be shorter than i would like but that is due to just wanting to write and send it out. Don't be afraid to write, compliments or criticism)

They were already too late, Harry dragged Ron here to warn Hermione. But just as they got to the girls loo, they watched as the troll strolled into the room where the young witch was supposed to be.

Harry looked toward the redhead next to him, who was obviously trembling at the sight of the twelve foot creature. "Come on mate, we don't even know if she's in there." Ron said in a shaky voice, the fear clear as day on his face.

"And if she is in there and gets hurt? That will be on you. Beside's between you and I, we can take it." Harry said, smiling trying to reassure his friend as he was already moving toward the loo.

With the little added reassurance Ron started to follow Harry down the hall but as the two got near the Loo, they heard an ear piercing screech followed by a loud crash. Harry rushed the rest of the way into the girls loo. Just to see Hermione crawling under a sink as the one next to her was smashed to pieces, water flowing out of the pipes.

The Giant Troll had its back towards the duo, it was hefting its club up for another swing at hermione. When Harry started to act without thinking. He picked up a piece of the sink that was destroyed, about the size of his fist. And chucked it as hard as he could, which wasn't much as he spent most of his life malnourished.

But it had the desired effect. The throw landed hitting the troll on the back of the head, the club was lowered back to rest against the floor as the troll turned around to see who threw it. As the beast turned around it was greeted with the sight of two boys, an empty handed raven hair boy, and a Redhead who still had a piece of porcelain in his hand. It started to take a few steps toward the two leaving Hermione alone.

"What now?" Ron asked, trembling to his bones.

"Keep throwing." Harry said as he reached down and picked up one of the handles to the sink and threw it again as hard as he could, hitting the troll's chest. Though this time it just bounced off. Harry went to go pick up another piece of the sink but as he was doing it Ron finally built up enough courage and threw his piece at the Troll.

At the time the thow seemed really lucky as it nailed the troll right in it's left eye. The troll dropped it's club a thud resounding throughout the loo, Hermione still in the corner trying to hide from the giant beast as best as she could. Its right hand went up to it's eye, as it lets out a loud grunt.
"Look Harry, I got it!" Ron exclaimed looking toward Harry, his limbs were visibly shaking but he smiled from ear to ear like he just won the biggest prize ever possible.

But the Troll recovered already, who backhanded Harry, flinging him into the wall, making him lose all his breath. Harry's vision went dark but he could still see Ron. The trolls meaty hand wrapping around him already.

His screams barely registered with Harry as there was a loud piercing noise ringing throughout his head.

Ron got hefted up to the troll's head, who proceeded to roar at the terrified boy. Ron went quiet after that, his struggling stopped, the only thing that was moving was his trembling lips. Harry could tell he was trying to say something but couldn't hear it over the ringing noise.

Harry tried to get up, but proceeded to trip over his own feet, landing on his stomach. Though the Troll nor his friend ever noticed. As the Troll grabed Ron's foot with his other hand, and to Harry's horror the troll swung Ron's body back behind him, over his head and slammed his friend down onto the bathroom floor.

It didn't stop there, the troll just kept on swinging and slaming, swinging and slaming Ron down against the floor. On the third swing there was a loud crack and pop sound as Ron hit the floor and his head caved in on itself. After the fifth swing the troll stopped, leaving the body on the floor as it roared again at Ron's limp body.

The troll then turned its attention towards Harry who was still laying down on the ground. Harry tried again to get back on his feet again just for him to lose his balance and fall backwards. Though just as the troll started to reach out toward Harry. Three large green Panthers leaped upon the troll clawing and biting at the big creature.

Harry looked to the left to see that the wooden stalls were gone, but Hermione was still in the corner, watching the troll as well. Harry turned his head to the right, where the entrance is to see his Transfiguration Professor standing there rage in her eyes. Her wand waving in even more intricate patterns, her lips moving slightly. The troll's wooden club started to disintegrate, but to Harry's amazement it was turning into a colony of tiny ants. Swarming up the trolls arm.

Soon following behind her was the Charms Professor, Flitwick. His wand was trained at the troll but was not casting a spell as it would more likely hit Professor Mcgonagall's transfigurations. He made his way toward Harry, his eyes more on the troll as it fought the panthers and ants but ultimately losing the fight.

Finally as Flitwick got to Harry his attention shifted to the boy. His wand was already moving by the time Harry realized it. Luckily for Harry the light blue hue that came from his Professor's wand didn't hurt him in fact it cleared his mind so much that he started to feel the pain all over his body. "Mr. Potter, we got to go now." Flitwick commanded the young boy.

Harry got up, this time not falling over again. "Hermione." Is all Harry said, already sliding along the wall not wanting to get closer to the battle than he already is.

But to Harry's luck, one of the wooden Panthers got thrown against the wall right in front of him. Harry looked toward the Troll battle, but was relieved to see that the Troll was still preoccupied with the other panthers and ants. Harry's mouth dropped, hanging low as he watched a swarm of what looked like woodpeckers start to fly around the trolls head pecking at it randomly.

"MR. POTTER WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" His charms professor yelled from behind. Which caused Harry to come out of his aww, and started to move again toward Hermione, still unmoving.

"Hermione!" Harry called out to the girl still tucked in a ball under a sink. As expected she didn't react at all to her name.

With no more interruptions from the fight that the professors were having with the troll. Harry finally got to the girl, but upon closer inspection she was a wreck. Her eyes were wide with fear, her skin wet with sweat. She wasn't going to be moving anytime soon. Harry kneeled down and tried to pick her up.

But as soon as his hands touched her she finally came out of her daze. "Don't touch me!" Hermione almost screams at the young boy.

"We need to get out of here." Harry almost shouted back at the girl. To his surprise she actually listened. And started to follow him back around the edges of the loo. They reached their Charms professor who looked less than pleased at his actions, but nodded at him.

"Now Filius!" Mcgonagall shouted from the entrance way, as soon as she saw that the children were out of the way.

Without further warning a flame whip erupted from Professor Flitwick's wand. And with a simple and quick snap of the little professor's hand it started to spiral around the troll's leg.

But to Harry's and Hermione's amazement it wasn't the whip that was going around its leg, the professor only ignited the ants made of wood that Mcgonagall was controlling. The line of them continued to circle and circle around the troll wrapping around its waist and torso, finally up its face. To the students' discomfort the trail of fire ants disappeared inside the troll's nose.

But the fire didn't go out as they watched as more ants kept coming, adding fuel to the fire. The troll didn't have a choice but to try to put the fire out as the wooden cats who were now on fire were still attacking it with more furosity. Finally able to cut small but many gashes into the trolls thick hide.

Flitwick didn't stop though He kept on wiping at the troll's legs and ankle trying to make the tall beast fall. One of the Panthers got a foothold on the troll long enough to sink it's wooden teeth into its chest making the troll yell out in pain rumbling the entire room as it did.

Though Professor Mcgonagall didn't falter, utilizing the new development to get two of the birds to dive bomb straight into its mouth and into its stomach.

Harry turned to Mcgonagall in time to see her smirk, and mutter a new spell. "Acio maul." Harry was confused but a grunt from the troll made him turn back to the troll to see its stomach bulge for a few seconds. And to his surprise a long stick broke through his stomach followed by a chain of wood, and finally a spiked ball covered in blood, and acid. What followed was the troll falling to the ground grabbing at its stomach knowing that it was going to die. The panthers clawed onto its shoulders and started gnawing at its head.

The fight was over but flitwick moved in closer the fire whip was gone but he cut the hands off the troll with two cutting curses, and aimed his wand inside the hole. "Bombarda!" The small professor yelled. Not even a second later the troll's stomach and chest exploded from the inside out. Splattering both flitwick and the two students behind him, with troll blood and flesh.

"It worked, Filius! Magic from the inside has more effect." Mcgonagall said with a small smile on her face at the achievement of killing this beast.

"Not to mention that physical attack from the inside, almost no resistance." Flitwick replied back as he looked at the corpse of the troll, the animated animals going to the corner to burn silently.

A loud cough from behind them got them to straighten up. "Professors, I do know your love for combat, and knowledge but Minerva you have two Cubs to take care of." Dumbledor said in a calm voice as he strode past Mcgonagall, Snape coming in behind him but stopping at the door.

A shocked face as he took in the scene of the bathroom. Though Dumbeldors face was stony and impossible to read as he examined the room. His eyes stopped as he looked at the remains of Ron, whose legs were covered by one of the troll's arms. The back of Ron was smoldering, and sprayed with troll blood.

Madame Pomfrey came bustling in a bag of potions over her shoulder. Her breathing was heavy and her face was red. "Seriously Dumbledore? Go to the common rooms?" She yelled at the old man not really paying attention to the room. "I have eight students with broken bones, and one was trampled so bad I had to knock him out. And give him a dreamless draught. Honestly, two of our common rooms are in the dungeons. Why did you frighten them all, and force them to leave the safety of the great hall. And then hunt for…" The plump mediwitch finally noticed the room and state of the room that everyone was in, including the troll. "The troll." She finishes off sheepishly, her anger at the headmaster gone as she starts to scan the people in the room, mainly Flitwick, Hermione and Harry. Who were covered in blood.

She pulled out her wand and started to mutter, waving her wand around the three of them. Flitwick just shrugged and moved off. Not wanting Pomfrey to waste time on him as he knows he wasn't hit. Though as he moved out of her range, she gave him quite a meaningful and deep death glare for not letting her do her job.

Though she never stopped and just continued her diagnostic charm on both of the students. Both of them just stood there not sure what to do. Harry in front of Hermione, still between her and the Troll.

Soon the air around the two turned green, but neither cared as they were both trying to process what just went on. After a minute more Pomfrey stopped and started to dig through her bag and tsks as she only pulls out just one lightly blue potion, with a silver smoke inside of it. "I only have one more calming draught potion left." Pomfrey said, looking between the two students.

It took a few seconds but Harry was the one to speak up. "I'm calm!" Harry blurts out, almost yelling. He made fists to try to stop and cover up his shaking hands. This made Pomfrey smile sadly as she moved over to Hermione who still hadn't spoken yet, her eyes still low, on the ground her entire body shaking every once and awhile.

Pomfrey Finally came face to face with Hermione, but she was still unresponsive, her eyes were now on Pomfrey's feet. She only responded as soon as Pomfrey touched Hermione's chin to lift it up to give her the draught.

Her hands came up defensively still shaking her eyes dart upwards facing Pomfrey's big caring eyes. Reluctantly her hands moved down to her side, Pomfrey popped open the draught, tilted the small girl's head back and put the draught into her mouth. Hermione took a while to actually swallow the draught but as she did the effects were almost instantaneous.

Her eyelids covered more of her eyes, her body stopped shaking and her eyes finally were able to move around. Her mouth moved almost as she was trying to speak but not even air came out. "It's alright, You're safe now." Pomfrey said as she grabbed ahold of the young witche's hand and started to pull her toward the door. "Mr. Potter you come with me too."
Harry did as he was told, moving away from the dead troll. Flitwick and Minerva was more in the corner now, talking to each other like they were school children talking about a passion they shared. Where Snape and Dumbldore were closer to the entrance talking in quiet voices to each other.
"Hold on Pomfrey, I need to talk to those two about points." Dumbledor said as he noticed that the mediwitch was taking the two students away.
At this Pomfrey dropped Hermione's hand who just stayed in front of Harry. Harry turned to watch Pomfrey as she moved back past him toward the headmaster. "POINTS!" Pomfrey screamed at the headmaster. "You have a student dead and multiple injured both mentally and physically. And you want to talk about points?" Madame Pomfrey screamed at the old man.
"I was going…" Dumbledor tried to say but was cut off by Pomfrey.
"One hundred points from Dumbledore!" Pomfrey said cutting him off. Harry could see a slight amusement in Dumbledore's eyes.
"That's.." He was cut off again by the witch.
"Two hundred!" She yelled.
He tried to say something else as well but the witch just yelled "Three thousands points!"

Harry couldn't help but smile at the encounter, never thinking anyone could shut up Albus Dumbledore yet a squat old Medi witch was able to do it in just three sentences. Without him even realizing it he started to respect the old witch that is trying to take them to the infirmary.

Dumbledor's gaze moved over toward both Minerva and Flitwick who were now silent looking at the two older people, like they were watching mother and father fight. After he realized that even his Deputy headmistress wasn't even going to back him up Dumbledor let out a sigh letting Pomfrey have her way.

Pomfrey let out a humph and guided the two students out of the bathroom, letting the other professors deal with the dead troll and the dead student. "Come on Mr. Potter." Pomfrey said as she was guiding Hermionie in front of her Harry didn't say anything as he looked back at the dead red head who might have become something like a brother, given time. But listened to the medi witch, and followed.
Soon all three were in the infirmary, Pomfrey led them to the far back where only two beds were open, a meter apart but still beside each other. Pomfrey put Hermione on the bed in the corner, Where Harry took the last available one. "I Hope you can just lay there for a while Mr. Potter." She said as she started to wave her wand around Hermione.

Harry relaxed as he knew she was going to help Hermione. And soon, her blood, and intestine covered robes got replaced with a thin white gown. The blood and gore that was also on Hermione's face and hair, also disappeared. "Better." The medi witch said quietly as she turned to Harry to find that his eyes were watching her closely and intently.

The medi witch has seen this kind of look only a dozen of times throughout her life. She probably had this look herself once and a while when she was making sure her family and some of her patients were safe and making sure others were treating them right.

"Gossip earlier in the day says that you and the other boy were the reason our miss granger was in that bathroom." Pomfrey says quietly as she moves closer to Harry as she starts to cast the same spells to remove his clothes and replace them with the gown.

"More because of the other boy." Harry said defensively. But after he felt his robs turn to the hospital gown he started to speak and Pomfrey stayed quiet. "I wanted to help her, I know what it's like to be bullied." Harry said even quieter, almost whispering. "But I just wanted to fit in too." Harry said as he felt tears starting to fall down his cheeks.

Pomfrey smiled sadly down at the boy. "You can't change the past, Harry. But you can learn from it. I'm pretty sure after this you both will be needing somebody. Be there for her then." Pomfrey said to him. "Now try to get some sleep." She said calmly. Harry nodded at her, trying to get used to the not so soft hospital bed.
