Hello friends,
I was trying very hard not to have to do this, but after much consideration, I've decided to stop writing. My carpal tunnel symptoms have cleared up, however for the past several months, I've struggled with a type of thumb tendonitis in both hands that has made it increasingly difficult and painful to write, play games, and even drive. While the pain is nowhere near as bad as it used to be, I seem to have hit a point where physical therapy is no longer helping. Likewise, the cortisone shots I got did nothing. So, my plan now is to give up writing and video games for the next few months and see if that helps. If not, then my next option is probably surgery.
Originally, I had considered going on hiatus and then picking this story back up once everything was back to normal. However, at this point, I have no idea when – or even if – that might be. And since it's been almost a year since my last update, and since I don't want to leave everybody in the lurch, I have instead decided to post my notes for the rest of this story. It'll take some time to get them into a more legible/understandable state, but I plan to start posting them within the next few weeks.
Thank you so much, everybody, for sharing this story with me for so long, and I truly am sorry that I won't be able to finish it for real.
