Chapter 48 – Bella

A/N: Just a short chapter.

When Jared and I walked into Sam's house, we were greeted by everyone before Jared handed me the shirts and headed out back with the rest of the guys. I headed into the kitchen with the girls. Angela was the first one that I saw. I immediately went over to her and pulled her into a hug. "I'm so sorry that I haven't been to see you since, I've been back. It's been crazy busy." I told her.

"It's fine. I do want to get together though." She said.

"Of course." I said. I turned to the rest of the girls that had all piled into the kitchen. "I brought presents." I told them.

"What'd you bring?" Rach asked me.

I set that stack of shirts on the counter and began handing them out. As I handed each girl their shirt with the picture of their wolf on the front, they all gasped. But Emily was the first one to speak, "Bella, this is incredible."

"They look like them." Kim said.

I leaned against the counter and watched as they took in the details of the shirts. "That was the plan." I said as Rach handed me a bottle of water. "I somehow managed to take pictures of all of the imprinted wolves. I then used a program on my computer and turned the pictures into watercolor paintings. Then I sent them to a lady I met that runs a bookstore in Port A that does shirts. Majority I ordered before my trip but when I found out about Angela and Leah's imprints, I called and added their's." I told them.

"There wonderful." Angela said.

"I'm glad you guys like them." I said.

I walked over to the table and sat down. "So, Bells, what's the occasion for me and Sam hosting tonight?" Emily asked.

I shrugged. "Why do you think that their needs to be an occasion?" I asked her, calmly.

She raised an eyebrow at me. "Well, considering that you just had us all at your house a couple nights ago, we figured you and Jared would have wanted to get settled back in or you might have wanted to spend some time with Charlie." Em said.

"I think Jared and I are planning on having all of our parents over at the house this weekend." I told them casually.

"So there is something?" Rach asked.

"You'll just have to wait and see." I said, winking at her. I stood up from my chair and made my way outside. Jared and Sam were standing by the grill. I looked around noticing that the others weren't here. "Where's everyone else?" I asked.

"Went to get Billy, Sue, Old Quil and your Dad." Sam told me. I nodded, slowly. "I thought it might be a good idea to involve the council for this. Then I thought about your dad."

"I appreciate that. I was gonna invite Charlie and Jared's parent's to the house this weekend and tell them. This might work out better. Just gotta figure out how to involve Renee and Phil." I said. They both nodded.

Jared wrapped his arm around my shoulders. "It'll be fine." He told me, kissing the side of my head.

A little while later, we were all standing around the kitchen when Sam cleared his throat. "Thanks for coming on such short notice. I know that we all have lives outside of this pack, but I am sure that everyone understands that everyone in this room is family." Sam said and there were cheers throughout the room. "I'm gonna turn this over to Bella and Jared." Sam said and everyone turned to look at us.

"So, Jared and I have some news. Now one piece of news wasn't exactly planned but either way we are still excited about it." I said and looked over at Charlie who had a confused look. I suddenly felt nervous. "Jared and I are engaged and we're having a baby." I blurted out.

There were cheers throughout the room and everyone came over and congratulated us. The girls all wanted to see the ring, pulling my hand in different directions. Once everyone had started to dispersed, I made my way over to Charlie.

"Dad?" I said, as I could feel tears building up in my eyes. He hadn't said anything yet and I was starting to get worried that he was going to be upset. Maybe even try and shoot Jared. "Can you say something?"

"I'm gonna be a grandpa?" Charlie asked with tears in his eyes.

I nodded as I felt a few tears fall down my face. "Yeah, you are." I said.

Charlie quickly wrapped his arms around me and pulled me into a tight hug. "Have you told your mom, yet?" He asked me.

I shook my head. "Not yet. We wanted you, the pack and the council to know first. You guys are our primary family." I told him.

"Well, I'm glad you told us first, Bells." Charlie said. The only thing I could do was smile at him.

After we finished making the rounds and received blessings from the council, we all sat down to eat. By the end of the night, everything felt perfect.
