Chapter 50 - Bella

A/N: I can't believe this is chapter 50. I never expected this story to be this long. There's a time jump for this chapter. I was originally going to do two chapters on the wedding. One from Bella then one from Jared but as I was reading through this chapter, I decided something. This will be the only time this happens in this story. This chapter will be Bella and Jared. It's them getting ready for the wedding. Next chapter will be the wedding.

Summary: Takes place 3 months after the last chapter. It's Bella and Jared's wedding day.

A lot had happened in the last three months. After Jared and I had announced our engagement and pregnancy, we realized that we didn't want a long engagement. We knew how it would look to outsiders but it didn't matter. The pack, the council and my Dad knew the truth, that I was Jared's imprint and I knew that he was my forever and destiny. Why wait? Jared and I settled on a date and decided that we wanted a simple tribal wedding, especially since neither one of us were religious.

Renee had made her feelings clear that she wouldn't be attending the wedding. She clearly thought that I was making a mistake. It didn't matter much, I'd always been the adult when it came to she and I. I just hated that Renee didn't want to be a part of my wedding or a part of my child's life. Ellen had been a huge help with the wedding planning. She reassured me that if Renee didn't want to be involved that she would be honored to help me with anything that I would have asked Renee to help with or any mother-of-the-bride duties. I'd startedcrying at the fact that Ellen was already treating me as her daughter.

Ellen had asked Jared and I what we wanted for our wedding. When we told her that we just wanted a simple tribal wedding, she nearly cried and told us that she'd handle everything.

Jared and I had gone for our first ultrasound appointment with Sue. It had been determined that we didn't know what to expect during the pregnancy since there hadn't been a shifter pregnancy documented before, and because of that Sue would be handling all of the prenatal care as well as the delivery. As soon as I'd heard the heartbeat, I turned to look at Jared and saw that he was crying. That in turn caused me to start crying.

Since most of the wolves were imprinted couples, Jared and I had decided against traditional bachelor and bachelorette parties. Not to mention that I couldn't drink. Instead we decided to have a bonfire. We didn't feel the need to force the imprinted couples apart for a night, thus putting the wolves on edge. Uncle Quil had gotten the rest of the council members to agree to let us use the community center for not only our bachelor/bachelorette party, but also our rehearsal dinner. The bachelor/bachelorette party and the rehearsal dinner both had gone down completely drama free, thank god.

It was finally here. The day that I was going to marry Jared. I just hoped that everything would go smoothly. Jared and I had opted against being apart last night, knowing that the separation would cause the both of us to hurt. Opening my eyes, I woke to rose petals all over the bed. On Jared's pillow was a single red rose and a note. I picked up the note to read it.

My love,

Today's the day. I can't wait to see you at the alter today. Enjoy your day with the girls, my mother and Sue. Just think, this is another beginning that we'll share together. Something that nobody can take away from us. I love you so much. Make sure you eat a good breakfast and don't forget to take your vitamin.

All my love,

Jared.

Sitting up, I folded the note and stuck it in my nightstand drawer with the other notes that Jared had left me before. Then I grabbed the rose and laid it on top of my nightstand. Getting up from the bed, I grabbed my robe and put it before heading to the bathroom for my morning routine. After completing my routine, I headed downstairs to see that my house was already full of people.

"Morning Bella." Ellen said.

"Morning." I said walking into my kitchen. "I wasn't expecting everyone to be here so early." I said to her.

"Well, there's a lot to be done." Ellen said.

I nodded as I poured myself a glass of orange juice from the fridge. "So, what's everyone doing?" I asked.

"Let's see…Emily will be in here in a moment to fix your breakfast. Leah, Rachel, Kim and Angela are in the library getting their hair and makeup done. Sue is steaming your dress. And I'm about to go run you a bath while you eat." Ellen said as Emily walked in.

After I ate what I could of my large breakfast, I headed upstairs to soak in my bath that Ellen had ran for me. Sitting in the bath, I thought about everything that Jared and I had been through. Before and after we'd gotten together.

When I got out of the bath, I put my robe back on and walked out to my bedroom. Still sitting on my dresser was the envelope that had come from Renee that had arrived a few days prior. I grabbed the envelope and sat on the edge of my bed. I opened it to see a letter from her.

Bella,

I know that you are upset with me because I haven't been supportive of this wedding or the fact that you are going to be a mother. Despite that, I know that you will be a great wife and an amazing mother. How do I know? Well, I should know because instead of being the mother that you deserve, you ended up being the mother between us.

I hope that you wedding day will be full of happy memories. I love you Isabella Marie Swan. You have always been and will always be my pride and joy.

Love always,

Mom (Renee)

Ugh! I couldn't believe this. Renee had somehow tried to turn this day into all about her. But I knew what I had to do and I knew that Jared would understand.

Jared POV

The boys and I had gone for an early morning run before we started getting ready. We decided to make it a tradition for any wolves getting married. Sam and Emily were next. There wedding was in three weeks.

I was worried about Bella. Things with her mom weren't great and I knew that despite Bella mostly being the adult growing up, she hated that things were strained.

I had just stepped out of the shower and wrapped a towel around my hips when Seth burst into the adjoining bedroom. "What's wrong?" I asked, really hoping it wasn't a Cold One.

"Bella's gone." He said.

"What do you mean, gone?"

"She left." Seth said. "She somehow managed to get passed your mom and Leah. They don't know where she went."

I nodded. Was she leaving me? Was she gonna run away and I'd never see my child? I needed to get to my house. I quickly kicked Seth out and got dressed and headed over to my house.

When I walked into my front door, I made a beeline for my bedroom. She definitely hadn't been gone long. Her scent was still really fresh. I started making my way around the bedroom and bathroom, trying to find any type of clue that would let me know where she might have been. With no luck, I leaned against Bella's dresser, facing it. I looked down and that's when I saw it. The letter from Renee. It was gone. I knew where Bella had gone. And I knew that it was something that she had to do by herself.

Bella POV

By the time that I got to Jacksonville, it was getting dark. It didn't take me long to find their house.

When I rang the doorbell and Renee answered, she looked shocked to see me. Before she could say anything; I said, "What is this? What the hell is this supposed to mean?" I glared.

A/N: Surprise?
