#Hey man. I am done. As soon as I give you back the control, I will pass out for a couple of days in your head. So, head back home immediately. Okay. I have retained your pendant's scent hiding ability in the band so you don't need to worry about monsters. You can test the weapon out if you want but try not to break anything. Also while I am out, don't touch anything in this vault. We will return again when needed. Also, give the weapon a worthy name.#
Saying so, I gave the control back to Percy and promptly passed out.
Ch. 4 I meet the Trainer of Heroes
It took two days for Alexander to return to 'consciousness'. In those two days, Percy had spent a lot of time admiring the weapon, swinging it around to test its balance and thinking up names for it. The weapon was a work of art. The sword and the trident looked even more beautiful after the two weapons were combined. Percy could make the weapon appear with a thought in any form he wanted and even change the form from sword to Trident and vice versa in the blink of an eye.
Also, he had found out that if he removed the band, it returned to his wrist in 3 seconds sharp. If he left it in the Trident form or Sword form it returned in band form after 15 seconds unless he didn't want it to return.
#Percy. You there?#
'Obviously I am there. You are in my body if you forgot.'
#Geez. Anyways, did you see and test the weapon? Have you named it?#
'Yup. The weapon's awesome man. I checked it out, it is perfectly balanced. Even the sword changed its length after I picked it up to suit me.'
#That's cool. What have you named it?#
'I haven't named it yet but I have thought of a name: Storm Rider.'
#Storm rider? Hmmm... I like it. You just need it in Greek. θύελλα Καβαλάρης#
'It sounds cool.'
#That is good. Take out your sword and say: I name you Storm Rider in Greek#
'Ok' Percy obeyed the instruction and as soon as he finished, the words θύελλα Καβαλάρης appeared on the blade. He converted it into the trident form and saw that the name was already engraved on it.
'This all is nice, but whom am I going to practice with?'
#Me of course.#
'You are a voice in my head currently and have no form. How am I going to spar with you?'
#That won't be a problem. Go and lie in your bed. I will show you how.#
Percy blinked twice at the odd command before shrugging and going to lie on his bed. #Close your eyes.# Alexander said and Percy did. For a moment, he saw darkness before he was suddenly standing in front of a mansion. A huge mansion, three stories high, with a Garden and a pool. At least that is what Percy could see.
"Do you like it?" A voice asked from behind him. Percy spun around and saw a black haired, golden-black eyed man walking towards him. He was cleanly shaven and wearing a t-shirt with the image of a clock on it saying, 'TIME'S RUNNING' with black jeans. Percy didn't recognize the man but he recognized the voice.
"Alexander?"
"The one and only. Alexander, the God of the God of time, Storms, Night, Swordsmanship, Battles and the Patron of Heroes at your service."
"Oh. This is not how I imagined you would have looked." Alexander gazed at him for a moment before he smiled.
"I am a god kiddo. I can appear in any form I want. All gods can. Though they usually keep a fixed form so they are recognized easily." Alexander told Percy and he nodded.
"So, where are we?"
"In your head, of course."
"Last I checked, there wasn't a mansion in my head, Alexander. And as far as I am aware, there aren't supposed to be houses and gardens in ones head."
Alexander chuckled. "True. But most people don't even have a god living in their heads, do they? This is where I stay in your head. I don't actually need it, but I made it for my comfort."
"... Fair enough. So, what do you do in here when I am not talking to you?"
"I sometimes go swimming, watch TV, or play video games in the game room."
"You have a whole game room in my head and you didn't invite me?"
"In my defense, I made it recently." Alexander said putting his hands up.
"Sigh. So, how are you going to train me?"
"I have made an arena. Come, I will give you a tour of the house." Alexander lead him through the house showing him everything he had. Percy loved the pool and the gaming room. Even the Arena was impressive.
After the tour, Alexander lead him to the arena. "Today we will begin your training in sword fighting. I will teach you basic sword maneuvers first. Okay. And one more thing. Whatever you will practice here in your mind won't leave you drained in the real world. But, if you get injured, it will sting on your real body too. It won't leave scars or bleed, but you will feel the pain. This is because we have to ensure that your muscles also develop according to your training so you won't face an issue while fighting in a real situation."
"Ok." Percy replied before the storm rider appeared in his hand in Sword form and they began.
CLANG!
CLANG!
"OW!"
12 year old Percy Jackson was sparring with Alexander in the arena in his head. He had been training with Alexander in sword fighting and trident fighting since the past two years. Alexander had also started training him Hand to hand combat.
Percy got up from the Arena floor rubbing the spot that Alexander had kicked him. Since the last two years, he was yet to get an upper hand in any of their spars. "Come on you big crybaby. Show me what you can do." Alexander taunted Percy. Percy scowled before he stretched his hand out and the Trident which was lying on the arena floor flew into his waiting hand. Percy lunged and started attacking Alexander relentlessly, who effortlessly evaded the attacks.
Percy's Storm rider had developed a few abilities in the past two years. It was due to the fact that Percy bombarded it with his own divine energy almost every night before he went to sleep. It was something that Alexander had taught him to do. It was a tough process to learn initially. Percy had wasted a lot of energy for the first 7 to 8 nights before he had got the hang of how to make his weapon absorb and hold the energy he was bombarding it with. After the first successful attempt, it became quite easy though. By now, it was a daily ritual for him to do.
Now, he could summon the storm rider back to his hand with a single thought when in Trident or sword form. He didn't need to wait for it to appear back on his wrist in band form. It also served the advantage of hitting anything that came in the weapon's path while coming back. Also, the trident and the sword had became an extension of himself. He could flawlessly move around with it in spars. The weapon also made it much easier and much less tiring to channel his powers. It wasn't quite at the level to enhance the strength of the power he was using though. Alexander had assured him that give it a few years and the weapon will be doing that too.
Another power was that now, Percy could shoot water from his trident like a powerful fire hose by putting hardly any power into it. It was a very useful ability.
"Do you yield?" Alexander asked Percy who was lying on the floor at sword point. Percy sighed before he nodded. Alexander helped him up before saying, "You are doing quite well with the sword and the trident. Much better than I expected"
"But I still can not defeat you. I am not even a challenge for you" Percy said and Alexander rolled his eyes.
"Kid you have had two years of experience with a sword. I have had two thousand. Plus, I am the god of Swordsmanship and battles. You can not expect to defeat me so soon. But, I assure you that you are doing much better than any other demigod I have seen. Even Achilles and Herakles needed around four to five years of practice to reach where you are now with only two years of practice. Believe me when I say that you are doing very well Percy. Very-very well. And never think that you aren't a challenge. I may not be going all out but I am not toying around either with you. You pose a challenge to me, I assure you. But, my experience simply is much greater to be fazed by it."
Percy just nodded. He was at least decent enough to kill Hellhounds and dracaenas who had caught his scent in the past year and tried to hunt him with laughable ease. Percy hadn't even received a scratch from them. Alexander had warned him that a Satyr would probably come to school now that the scent hiding enchantment was overpowered due to Percy's power a few months ago. The band still reduced his scent to that of a child of Athena or Ares instead of a son of big three though. But, it wouldn't last long before the enchantment erodes away completely due to the overload as Percy grew powerful by the day.
True to Alexander's predictions, a Satyr, Grover underwood had joined school as soon as the new school year had started in September. Grover had 'managed' to befriend Percy soon afterwards. It was good to see the shock on Grover's face when he realized that Percy was almost a normal student. Percy didn't face any problems like demigods did at school according to Alexander. He was above average in classes and could control ADHD pretty well. He was also quite popular amongst the students at school due to having won several tournaments on behalf of Yancy academy in the past three years.
Alexander dismissed Percy, having ended the combat training for the day. He had learnt a lot about weapons and combat in the past two years. Alexander had also introduced a combat strategy lesson twice a week to be added to his divine training a year ago. He had learnt war strategies, group formations for attack and defense etc. His training also included learning to combine his powers with his weapon combat. Like using water to distract enemy or trip them while fighting, make his enemies slower by increasing the flow of time around him, using shadows and darkness to teleport around and attack unexpectedly among others. Another technique that Alexander had taught him was channeling his divine power in his limbs to become faster and hit harder than humanely possible.
Percy woke up in his bed at Yancy academy with a stretch and greeted Grover who bleated in fright on the sudden greeting. Percy resisted the urge to roll his eyes at the slip up. (They now had to stay at Yancy and could only go home at weekends or in vacation since they were old enough to take care of themselves)
It was around November end that the scent enchantment completely eroded. His scent was now very powerful and he had to be on guard at all times. Till the Christmas holidays started, he had been attacked by several low level monsters like Hellhounds, cyclopes and dracaenas each of which Percy had flawlessly killed. Grover still hadn't had a wind of the monster attacks but he was on edge.
Once he returned from the Christmas holidays, Alexander and he had felt some mist enveloping the school. Due to Alexander protecting Percy's mind, the mist didn't affect him like it would have otherwise. They found out that their Maths teacher had been fired and the history teacher went on leave for the year. They were replaced by one Mrs. Dodds and Mr. Brunner respectively. It wouldn't have been so shocking if Mrs. Dodds wasn't the fury Alecto, Alexander's half sister and Mr. Brunner wasn't Chiron, the trainer of Heroes and Alexander's half brother.
Chiron was playing the part of a handicap teacher with a disability in his legs. But the wheelchair was actually a magical artifact that housed his horse legs.
Another thing of note was that the weather in New York had taken a turn for the worse a few days after the Winter solstice. Alexander had grimly informed him that Zeus's master bolt, the symbol of power of the king of the skies had been stolen on the winter solstice and Zeus was blaming Poseidon. And apparently, Percy, the son of Poseidon, the first one born after nearly a century due to the oath the big three had sworn in the aftermath of the WW2, was about to go to camp half-blood and introduced to the divine world. Wonderful.
In addition, a fury was at the school confirming that Hades, the lord of the underworld was after him already. Alexander had told him how the child of Zeus, one Thalia Grace had been chased by hordes of monsters sent by Hades after her. She had two companions with her, a daughter of Athena and a son of Hermes. They had almost reached the half blood hill, but the monsters caught up with them. So, Thalia had stood in front of the horde of monsters to give her friends time to escape. She had fought to the best of her abilities but, she was eventually overwhelmed. To save her from death, Zeus converted her into a pine tree on the hill, where her spirit guards the camp till date. She was a true hero.
Alexander had increased Percy's training immediately. Now, Percy practiced till he was bone tired every night. His phone time was also cut off since using phones was like sending a beacon to the monsters around.
Chiron was an excellent teacher about the Greek mythology even if Percy knew everything already. Chiron had high expectations from Percy and as far as Percy could gauge, he was meeting his standards quite well. He hadn't failed to answer a single question correctly in the Greek mythology class. He also got an consistent A+ in the assignments, making Chiron proud of him already. He was his star student in the school.
Mrs. Dodds, or Alecto the fury, whichever you prefer tried to cause Percy problems in class but Percy never slacked in his work and was good enough in mathematics to answer the questions almost flawlessly in class. So, the fury was so far, unsuccessful in cornering him.
Another problem with Percy was that the girls in his class were behaving weirdly around him. Okay... he understood that he looked hot with his tall, lean, muscular body, six pack abs, sea green alluring eyes and his black hair, which was as untamable as the sea. But, to stutter and blush while talking to him was ridiculous to boot.
During the rest of the school year, both Chiron and Alecto were keeping an annoyingly close eye on him. Grover was growing frantic and nervous by the day. Monster attacks had lessened after Chiron had entered the academy but not entirely ceased. Percy still had to kill some odd Cyclops or hellhound once a week or so when he was at Yancy. Another reason may have been the fact that Artemis and her hunt had been in the area around Yancy as they had heard of the excessive monsters there and proceeded to wipe out every monster in three mile radius, according to Alexander.
He was thankful that Poseidon had put up protection around his home in Manhattan against monsters and other gods to protect his mother and him, without even letting them know, around a couple of years ago. He really cared about them.
#Percy, I think we should visit the vault once again. It is already mid-April. By the start of the summer, that is mid-may, you will have to officially join the divine world by going to the camp. So, you need some things. Plus, Alecto will most likely attack soon as I think that she is getting desperate to see what you are.# Alexander said out of the blue as Percy was sitting in the English lecture.
'Oh. So, when do we go?'
#Today. You can go to the swimming pool and water-teleport or just shadow travel there and back. I say, water teleport there first and come back by shadow travel.# Alexander suggested. An ability that Percy had developed from his sea powers was that he could teleport from one water-body to another, as long as he had been there before and remembered the location. While, with shadow travel he could go a distance in any direction or go to a specific place(as long as he had been there before) if he wanted.
'Hmmm... So, after classes end. What are we going to take?'
#Things you will be needing to begin your journey in the Greek world. Like a special bag, tent, medical kit, drachmas, ambrosia and nectar, and some other nick-knacks.# Alexander replied.
'Special bag?'
#You will see kid.# Alexander replied.
After the classes for the day ended, Percy told Grover that he was going to the pool to rest. As soon as he reached the pool, he dove in and immediately teleported in the lake in central park where the vault was. Percy swam to the vault door and unlocked it before stepping inside. Then he put the password on the inner door and entered the vault.
'Where now.'
#Start touring the vault, but don't touch anything till I tell you to pick it up.# Percy nodded and started touring the vault and taking in the sights. He was first stopped at a rack of shoes.
'Shoes?'
#Yes, extra grip, wear and tear proof, waterproof, padded on the inside for softer landing but hard toes for more impact of kicks, silences footsteps for stealth. Also, won't hinder channeling of power from your feet if you need. It also has space for keeping a knife. They are known as combat shoes, invented by Hermes. There is even an advanced combat version, with addition of blades that pop out and wings to fly like the Talaria of Hermes... but you don't need that one.#
'Cool.' Percy thought back and started searching for an appropriate size and colour. He ended up taking Blue coloured Nike shoes of appropriate size (yes, they were even branded with all big brands like Adidas, Reebok, Nike etc.). 'Now, what next?'
#See that bags to your right? They are enchanted to be much bigger on the inside and weight only one kilogram regardless of whatever you put inside it. Also, it can shrink to fit in your pocket. In addition, it is also fireproof and water proof and has anti thievery enchantment and a retrieval enchantment like your band. So, you can't loose it.#
'Cool. You know what? I have a feeling that I will be saying cool a lot of times today.'
#That's correct kid. everything in here is awesome.# Alexander said with pride.
Half an hour later Percy was finally done picking up everything he may need. He had taken several fascinating things. A lighter- electric torch which never ran out of fire or battery, an uncuttable rope, a pocket knife made of steel (which was the most normal thing he had picked), a tent with a apartment inside it, a demigod first aid kit, extra ambrosia and nectar, a magical compass which could even point to the direction of the location one wanted to go apart from showing the general direction, a map-book and finally and an canteen with unlimited water.
Percy took ten more minutes to arrange everything he had taken in the bag properly, before he closed the vault and shadow travelled back to his dorm at Yancy, only stepping out of the shadows when he made sure that there was no one else in there. It had been a busy day, and he still had homework to do.
Percy was sitting in the school bus beside Grover, gazing out of the window at the passing sights. His class was heading to the Metropolitan Museum of Art to look at ancient Greek and Roman stuff as a part of Mr. Brunner's/ Chiron's class activity-cum- field trip.
That was when Nancy Bobofit, a kleptomaniac red-head-who-bullied-everyone-except-Percy got bored and started throwing chunks of Peanut-butter-ketchup sandwich at Grover's head. 'Who combines peanut-butter and ketchup that's just Eww' Percy thought to himself and could feel Alexander nod. Percy turned to Nancy. "Hey, Nancy! I know that you have a big heart and want to give poor, hungry Grover your lunch as you feel bad for him. But, the problem is, he can't catch a single piece of sandwich you are throwing at him with perfection. So, kindly hand it over to him instead of causing a mess. Won't ya?"
Nancy started stuttering and blushing, obviously not picking up the sarcasm in Percy's statement. Percy merely rolled his eyes. Chiron looked amused at the exchange and winked at Percy while Mrs. Dodds/ Alecto watched him with a neutral expression.
They soon reached the museum and started looking around the pictures, statues and all as Mr. Brunner led them while sitting on his wheelchair.
"Mr. Jackson, perhaps you can tell us what this picture represents." Chiron asked pointing to a picture.
"That is Kronos eating his kids, sir."
#He wants to hear more. He won't be satisfied with a one word answer.#
'I know, let him ask it though before I show off.'
"Yes," Chiron said, obviously not satisfied. "And he did this because..."
"Kronos was the Titan king, the son of Gaia and Ouranos, also known as Saturn, if you take the roman side of it. Anyhow, After Kronos, along with the aid of his brothers and mother, Gaia had cut his father Ouranos into pieces with his scythe and overthrew him, it was prophesized that one day his own children will overthrow him in a similar way." Percy began
"Kronos became paranoid and when Rhea, the Titaness of Earth, Motherhood, Fertility and abundance; birthed his children starting with Hestia, the goddess of the hearth, family, home and fire; Kronos swallowed them all to end their threat or so he thought. Hestia was followed by Hera, Poseidon, Hades and Demeter. Seeing this saddened and angered Rhea, and when Rhea's sixth child, Zeus was born, Rhea tricked Kronos into swallowing a rock instead of Zeus. After a few years, Zeus secretly infiltrated the palace of the Titans and fed his father a concoction of mustard and wine, resulting in Kronos barfing out the five children that were still growing up inside his stomach."
"Eww..." A few girls said while the others listened to him with rapt attention.
"The six escaped that day and later waged war on the Titans for 10 years along with their allies, some of them who were previously imprisoned by Kronos like the Elder Cyclopes and the Hekatonkheires. The Gods won in the end, after slicing up Kronos with his own scythe in a similar way that Kronos did to Ouranos and casted his remains into Tartarus. This period of wars between the gods and the Titans is known as the Titanomachy." Percy finished and everyone applauded including Chiron.
"As if we are going to use this in real life. Like it's going to say on our job applications, 'Please explain why Kronos ate his kids.'" Nancy muttered to her friend but Chiron heard her.
"And why Mr. Jackson, to paraphrase Ms. Bobofit's excellent question is all of this applicable in real life?"
There were some snickers among the group. Percy also grinned before replying, "I think that these all Greek myths, well, not only Greek but Norse, Indian, Roman, Shinto Mythologies too; are lessons in morality for us. We learn that no one, not even gods and heroes are perfect and they make mistakes. We should learn from their ingenuity and their mistakes in order to better ourselves."
"Full credit, Mr. Jackson." Chiron proceeded to go through the pictures of some other Greek myths.
'Hey Alexander, shall we mess with our resident monster?'
#Well, go ahead. I never liked the furies anyways. They are too sadistic for my tasted. Also mess with Chiron, I say.#
Percy walked faster till he was besides Chiron and near his painting too. "Hey, Chiron." Percy said while innocently pointing at the picture but keeping an eye on the real guy. Chiron's head whipped towards me so fast that he might have gotten a whip-splash due to it.
"That's Chiron right? The trainer of heroes?"
"Y-yes Mr. Jackson, you are indeed correct. That is Chiron." He said.
"Why were you looking at me like I called you, sir? You aren't Chiron, are you? Like in disguise?"
"No-no, Percy, I assure you that I am not Chiron in disguise."
"Aww... sir, I am messing with you. You of course aren't Chiron. I always visualized him like a guy who loves to listen to 1960's lounge music and wearing tail curlers. Also, having a secret pleasure for Root beer. That is if he was still alive. You don't do anything like that? Right?"
"I do enjoy 1960's music, but I unfortunately do not have a tail." Chiron replied calmly but Percy saw that he was beginning to sweat at the fact that his cover had been blown. Horribly.
Percy just laughed before he fell back with Grover. As they neared the picture with the three furies, Percy loudly asked, "Mr. Brunner, those three ugly, bat-like hags in that pictures are the Furies right?"
Grover's eyes widened and so did Chiron's, for a fraction of a second before he replied in the affirmative. Mrs. Dodds was glaring daggers at him.
"If they look anything like this picture shows, I wonder why Hades keeps them around. Like he is the god of riches. Shouldn't he have hot models instead of three ugly bats?" Alecto's glare increased.
"Mr. Jackson, the furies are Hades chief enforcers in the underworld. They are not his consorts."
"Oh. Then I completely understand. Hades wishes to torture souls by making them see the furies ugly faces every day!" Percy concluded and everyone laughed. If looks could kill, Percy would have been dead ten times over due to Alecto's glare.
"On that humorous note, let us go outside for lunch. Mrs. Dodds, please lead the kids outside. Percy, can I have a word?" Chiron said, wanting to get her away from Percy as fast as possible.
Mrs. Dodds nodded and took everyone outside. Only Percy and Mr. Brunner/ Chiron remained behind.
"Mr. Jackson... Percy, I must say that you are doing extremely well. I am very proud of you. I hope you continue doing so as it and remember the answer to those questions. Also, a word of caution, It would do you no good by insulting these mythological figures like the furies, or the gods. So, kindly refrain from doing so. Now, let us go and have lunch. I am starving." Percy had raised an eyebrow but the trainer of heroes paid it no heed, instead rolling his wheelchair towards the handicap ramp that lead outside.
#He wasn't wrong, you know? But, seeing as the fury is already after you, it did no harm. Now, I can tell the attack will be within a few hours. So, you don't have to keep waiting. Also, try not to reveal your weapon to Chiron, Grover or anyone yet. Atleast not until you get claimed by Poseidon at the camp. Except of course, if you are in a life or death situation.#
'You just said that Alecto will attack in a few hours! I am going to be in a life or death situation. How on Earth am I going to defeat a Fury without a weapon?'
#Chiron has placed an alert spell on you and Alecto as soon as you insulted her. As soon as Alecto would corner you, he will come to your aid. And as I have taught you, centaurs are very fast travelers and can cover great distances in very less time. So, he will help you. If he fails to do so, you can use your powers or the storm rider to defend yourself.#
'Alert spell?' Percy questioned as he walked towards his friends.
#It is a simple enchantment that divine beings put on their children when they are very small and unable to use their powers properly. It notifies them where they are or if they are in danger. It is a short term spell and this one would wear off in about 12 hours.#
Percy gave a mental nod before joining his friends and engaging in their banter and games while sharing their lunches. A short while after Percy finished eating, suddenly Nancy fell down on the floor. Mrs. Dodds rushed to her and made sure that she was all right before she turned to Percy. "Now Honey." She said with a triumphant fire in her eyes. "Come with me."
"Why?"
"Honey, I saw you push poor Ms. Bobofit. You must be punished."
"I didn't do it Mrs. Dodds." Percy said.
"Yes ma'am, Percy was with me the whole time." Grover supported him. Several of his friends nodded in agreement.
"Yes ma'am, I wasn't pushed." Nancy affirmed.
"Silence! I know what I saw. Now honey, come with me." Protests rose among the group but Percy just assured them that he will be fine and went with Mrs. Dodds. From the corner of his eye, he saw Chiron looking at the scene with alert eyes. Percy took a deep breath. If things went out of hand, he would slow time down and unleash the storm rider in its trident or sword form and kill Alecto immediately.
Alecto led him to the Greek and Roman section, deeper inside the museum, a part that the group was yet to visit. They were alone there. 'Good. no mortals would be caught in the cross-fire.' Percy thought to himself and he felt Alexander nod.
"You've been giving us problems, honey," she said as she stood in front of a frieze of the Olympian gods.
"Excuse me? What problems?" Percy asked.
She tugged on the cuffs of her leather jacket. "Did you really think you would get away with it?" The look in her eyes was beyond mad. It was evil now.
"Get away with what?" Percy couldn't for the sake of his life figure what the fury was talking about. Alexander had told him about the master bolt being stolen but why would a fury, the chief enforcer of Hades accuse him of a crime?
"We are not fools, Percy Jackson," Mrs. Dodds said. "It was only a matter of time before we found you out. Confess, and you will suffer less pain." I had no damn idea of what she was talking about? "Well?"
"But, what have I done?" Percy half-yelled. If Hades wanted to kill him, why would he accuse him of stealing the master bolt of Zeus of all people as Hades hated Zeus.
"Your time is up," she hissed and dropped her disguise. Her fingers stretched, turning into talons. Her jacket melted into large, leathery wings. Percy prepared himself.
He was about to take storm rider out but that was when, Chiron arrived on his wheelchair through the door, shouted "What ho, Percy!" and tossed a ball point pen at him before disappearing.
Percy dodged a strike from the fury's talons with practiced ease before snatching the ball point pen out of the air, knowing it was a weapon. As soon as it hit Percy's hand, it turned into the celestial bronze Greek Xiphos.
Mrs. Dodds turned to Percy. "Die Honey." She snarled before lunging again.
Percy swung the sword, cutting off her talons and scoring a cut on the left wing. She screeched in pain. Before she could do anything more, Percy cut her head off with another swing of the sword. He had to admit that the sword was perfectly balanced like the storm rider.
The fury exploded into yellow powder, vaporized on the spot, leaving nothing but the smell of sulfur and a dying screech and a chill of evil in the air. The same way that all monsters died.
#Success.#
'Yes, for now atleast. What was the fury talking about though? What is Hades blaming me for? I get it that he wants me dead due to the oath and all... but why accuse me of stealing something that doesn't even belong to him?' Percy asked as he examined the sword-pen in his hands. It had converted back into the pen but as soon as Percy uncapped it, it turned into the three feet long Xiphos. 'Anaklusmos- Riptide.' Percy translated the name on the blade. The tide that takes one by surprise.
#I don't know Percy. I don't know... but we will find out.#
'Should I keep this pen and confront Chiron?'
#That would be for the best. You anyways have a fortnight left for the term to finish anyways. This summer we join the divine world by going to the camp half-blood anyways. So, he might reveal it to you or delay it. But, hold the pen hostage till he answers the question.# Alexander said. #He may even give you the sword if he feels like it. Do you sense anything from the sword?#
'Yes, I do. It is a weapon of the sea.'
#And almost as powerful as the original trident your father had given you too. It will be an excellent secondary sword or to dual wield in your off hand as it is lighter than the storm rider.#
Percy just hummed before nodding and proceeding outside to confront Chiron. They needed to have a talk even if Percy didn't need it.
PrinceSusanoo: No... they just use Olympian silver weapons. They don't have monopoly over it. It is just a metal to be used by demigods. The huntresses use it the most though as most demigods (Greek ones) have celestial bronze weapons. It wouldn't make a difference if Percy uses a weapon made of it.
.
For the weapon summoning, think how Thor summons his Mjolnir in MCU. Percy does that for his trident in the same way.
.
Stay Happy! Stay safe! Keep smiling! Keep reading!
