Where does Stephanie's heart lie?

Here is the next chapter in this story.

Monday night was in Hartford, CT, and Vince knew that Stephanie would be at RAW. He told John, who decided to bring AJ and Lilian with him to spend time with their mom.

"So, how is school going?" She asked as they were in Vince's locker room.

"School is a good mom. I finish my classes on Wednesday," he replied.

"And you, Lillie girl?" she asked her daughter.

"School is a good mom. However, I do not finish my classes on Wednesday," she replied sadly.

"Oh, Lillie girl, it cannot be that bad," she said.

"Yeah, well, it's not bad, Mom, but it will not be fun knowing AJ does not have to go to school."

"Hey, Mom, can I ask you something very something?" He asked.

"Sure, what is that you want to ask me," she replied, looking at her first-born, her only son.

"Lillie and I know how this works and everything that goes on, but why is Dad always being dominated in most of his matches lately? After RAW went off the air lately, Dad is involved in a three-on-one handicap match against the sellout Big Sho, David "The Loser" Otunga, and Laurinaitis?"

"Well, that is how the storyline is written, sweetie," she replied.

"Then change it, Mom; it's not fair to Dad. I hate to read on the internet that Daddy was in another three-on-one handicap matches after RAW went off the air."

"That is on the internet?" She asked

"Yes, Mom, watching RAW and seeing Daddy get beaten up is not fun, especially when he is probably one of the best wrestlers in the WWE."

"I agree with Lillie's mom. It's just not fair how dad took a beat, or someone is interfering in his match, costing him the match; it is getting a little boring."

"That's just not boring, Mommy. This whole Laurinaitis thing is beyond boring. It looks like last week, AJ and I were looking forward to Michael Cole getting beat up by Dad, and what happened was Dad had to fight Tensei first to get his hands on Michael Cole. He then added the stipulation of no DQ to help Cole."

"Yes, Mom, that is very, very boring. We love to watch RAW and SmackDown, but since Luarinaitis has taken over, Lillie and I'd rather watch something else."

"Yes, Mommy, we loved the WWE, but not him being in charge of RAW and SmackDown."

"Well, I will see what I can do," she said as they nodded.

Later in the evening, Stephanie agreed to take Anthony and Lilian to her mom because John had to go to Manchester, New Hampshire, so Anthony and Lilian were going to stay at Grandma Linda and Grandpa Vince's house for the night. That was where they always stayed when John went on the road. But before Stephanie could leave the arena with her two older kids, she had a heated argument with her husband, Paul.

"I do not like this, Steph," he said.

"I do not care what you do not like right now, Paul. I have visitation with my two oldest kids, whom I had long before you came into my life. I will take them to my parents, and then I am going home," she said firmly.

"Stephanie, I am your husband, and you are supposed to care about what I think."

Stephanie looked at him and said, "I do not have time for this right now. Lillian and Anthony have school in the morning, and my mom is waiting for them," she said, walking away from him and toward her dad, who was talking with John.

"Everything okay, Steph?" he asked as she approached them.

"Everything is fine."

However, Vince was not buying it. He knew exactly who was responsible for her foul mood.

"Where are AJ and Lillie?" the locker room door opened, and out walked AJ and Lillie.

"You too ready to go to my house?" he asked his two oldest grandkids.

"Yes, Grandpa," he said as Lillie leaned against her dad. She was tired. She had a long drive to school and Hartford, Ct.

"Tired, Lillie, girl," she said as Lillie nodded against her dad's arm, and they smiled.

"Yes, Mommy," she yawned.

"Well, let's get you to grandma and grandpa's house so you can go to sleep."

"Night Dad"

"Night, son"

"Night, Daddy and Grandpa, she yawned as John kissed her on the head.

"Night princess"

"Night, sweetie," he said as the three walked toward the parking lot where Stephanie's Mercedes was parked.

When they arrived in the parking lot, Stephanie pressed a button to lock the car. AJ got in the passenger seat, Lillie got in the backseat, and Stephanie got behind the wheel. They buckled their seatbelt, and then she slid the key into the ignition, turning it and starting the car. After a few minutes, she backed up, turned the wheel, drove out of the XL Center, and headed for the highway. Then, I got on the road and headed toward Greenwich Ct. During the ride to Grandma and Grandpa's house, AJ looked out the window while Lillie fell asleep in the backseat. Stephanie looked into her rear mirror and noticed Lillie fast asleep in the back seat. She smiled.

"Mom"

"Shush, AJ, your sister is sleeping," she said softly, as AJ looked in the backseat and saw her sound asleep.

"Oops"

"It's okay, AJ, just keep your voice," she said softly as she drove up to the fates that opened up in the driveway of her parent's home.

She drove through them up the circular driveway to the house, turned the key, shut off the car, and then unbuckled her seatbelt while AJ unbuckled his.

"Mom, I will grab her school and overnight bags," he said softly

"Okay," she said as they got out of the car.

Stephanie walked around the car and quietly opened the door. Anthony grabbed Lillie's bags and walked toward the house, where he rang the doorbell. A few minutes later, the door opened, revealing his grandma Linda. Stephanie unbuckled Lillie's seatbelt.

"Lillie girl, wake up. We are at Grandma and Grandpa's house," she said softly as Lillie slowly woke up.

"Mmm, mommy," she said

"Yes, Lillie girl, I am going to put you to bed," she said softly as Lillie stepped out of the car and Stephanie closed the door.

Stephanie and Lillie walked toward the house together and up the stairs to the front door, where Linda awaited them. They walked inside the house, then to the staircase, and climbed the stairs to Lillie's bedroom. When they reached the top of the stairs, they walked to the bedroom and went inside, where Stephanie helped her daughter get changed out of clothes and into her PJs. Lillie went into the bathroom to brush her teeth and then rinse her mouth. Stephanie pulled the covers back as Lillie exited the bathroom and climbed into the bed. Stephanie pulled the cover over her and kissed on the head.

"Mm, night, mommy, love you," she said before drifting back to dreamland.

"I love you, too, Lillie girl," she said before leaving the bedroom.

"Night, Mom, love you."

"Night, son. I love you too," she said as he entered his bedroom.

"Lillie fell asleep on the ride here," she said

"Yes, Mom, she said as they walked down the staircase

"You okay, Sweetie?" she asked her daughter

"Yeah, I am okay. I only had another fight with Paul over AJ and Lillie."

"Why is he fighting with you over them?" She asked

"Why else, Mom? He does not like that I have visitation with them and that I have to pay child support for them when he feels that John should care for them only."

"Stephanie, you are the mother and want to pay child support because they are your responsibility, too."

"I know, Mom, but my husband feels different. I am reaching my breaking point with him. I am frustrated with him and these constant fights over AJ and Lillie. What am I supposed to do, Mom? I forgot about my two oldest kids with another man I loved." She just admitted to still loving John.

"No, of course, not Steph, but he has to deal with it whether he likes it. Because of AJ and Lillie, John will always be part of your life."

"I know, Mom. I am tired too, and I am going home. Bye, Mom," she said, kissing her mom on the cheek before walking out of the house and down the stairs to her car.

Linda watched from the doorway of her home as Stephanie got in her car and then drove down the circular driveway out of Linda's sight. She sighed and closed the door, and relocked it.
