Ch 1

After the defeat of Thanos, the Guardians of the Galaxy had brought Knowhere from the Collector and used it as their base.

Star-Lord (Peter Quill) was too busy drowning himself in wine, trying and failing to soften the loss of his Gamora.

Gamora was brought back but some magic from the Infinity Stones brought her past self to the current timeline as a completely different person.

It was like she didn't know any of the Guardians at all and they were back to square one.

No one was hit hard by that more than Peter.

He knew that this Gamora wasn't technically the same as the one he loved.

They had different lives and different memories.

Plus this past Gamora didn't go through the same things as her main self so she didn't have any connections to the Guardians.

But it still didn't stop him from trying.

And failing, sadly.

One day, they were attacked by Adam Warlock, the ultimate weapon of the Sovereign made by Ayesha to kill the Guardians.

Suddenly, there was a golden burst of light as Adam tackled Rocket, sending him smashing into his room's wall.

Rocket shuddered and spasmed in agony as the electric cyborg systems inside him malfunctioned, causing his vision to get blurry as he blacked out.

Then, Nebula towards Adam with a wingsuit and blasted Adam with her arm cannon, sending Adam into and through a wall.

Adam flew back out and tackled Nebula before throwing her away. Groot trapped Adam with his vines but he was no match as Adam flew Groot around Knowhere, slamming the two of them through buildings and shredding Groot's body until there was only a surviving head left.

Kraglin fired Yondu's arrow but it just spun uncontrollably, then zoomed but bounced off Adam as he still was getting the hang of it.

Adam then broke Mantis' arm and was blasted away by Star-Lord.

Then, Drax charged with a spurt of speed as he and Adam wrestled each other before Adam built up a large energy blast and shot Drax away.

Adam was soon ontop of Drax, then punched him over and over.

Suddenly, Adam was stabbed in-between the shoulders by a glowing energy sword from Nebula and he was forced to fly away.

The team couldn't bring back Rocket as the med-packs only caused Rocket to shudder in pain.

Then there was a white light filling his mind as he was transported into a flashback…
