Chapter 16: Wasted

The school ended as students came out of the front doors with excitement. As well Lincoln, Clyde, and Jesse as they also smiling cause it's Thanksgiving break.

"So glad it's the break, I so gonna get my dad's make a best Indian Headdress," Clyde said

"I can't wait to see my first Thanksgiving parade...Lincoln, I heard your sister be in it." Jesse replied to look at him.

"That's why I gonna bring my poster to the parade to cheer her on. So means you two gonna ride Charles to the parade as Sarah will be there and so does rest of my family, while getting the poster back home." Lincoln said as he ran off at normal speed.

"Okay be careful Lincoln," Clyde said sees Jesse rubbed her arms. "You okay?"

"Yeah, It's just...someone has been watching us," Jesse said looking around.

"Probably a bird or something," Clyde said seeing Charles in the street. "Come on, Charles waiting for us."

Unaware that Princess glared at her with flames in her eyes. 'Let's see how much stronger when I put on the suit...and that hero be mind,'

"Here it is!"

Lincoln is in his room, holding a poster with the sign Lily. "Lily so gonna love this art I made for her...Hmm?"

Lincoln sees behind his desk, he pulls it out revealing it to be his old goggles. 'My old goggles, this is Scan made for me, man I used this all the time when first became Linkage...Scan did everything to help me, wish I could get stronger...to save him, but he is always here with us all the time even he's gone...maybe...my family?'

Suddenly a green dark sludge hits Lincoln's back and pulls him outside from his window, the boy makes a quick move by transforming into Linkage while doing a flip even landing in the backyard.

"That was closed," Linkage said looking around.

"Not close enough...Lincoln."

Linkage froze as he looked up to see other than Toxic, standing on a tree, and jumped down to make a small quake.

"You don't know be scared 'cause we already know who you are because this power was made by hating you." Toxic said as grabbed Linkage and hit him in the garage.

"What are you, what do you mean by made?" Linkage dodges Toxic fast punch, hits the ground, and makes a hole.

Toxic asked as he pulled out his hand. "Do you think Metaxist didn't have a backup plan?"

Linkage's eyes wide and glare. "You created from Metaxist?! You didn't know what it doing to you?!"

Linkage sends a punch by Toxic grabs it in a small effort and slams Linkage in the ground. "Well least he giving me this gift destroyed you!" Linkage escaped as he a flew few feet away from him while Toxic, but Toxic shoots out his sludge to Linkage, one of his legs, and slams him to the ground. spoke. "we carried Metaxist's mission, destroying you as you destroying my life, from now on...we're gonna waste Lincoln Loud and Linkage...WE'RE ARE TOXIC!"

Linkage gets up, glaring at Toxic "You wanna fight? Let's take it elsewhere!" he shouts while materializing a yellow hammer, as he swings at Toxic who just humps up from the ground. Link taps onto his earpiece, but Toxic jumps down behind and smacks him across the grounds, into the woods.

"This is between you and us, Linkage! No more help!" he shouts while holding the earpiece, breaking it.

Linkage gets up from the broken trees. "Just what kind of monster did John create?" he asks himself as Toxic shoots out more of his green goop toward Linkage making him trapped on his feet. Linkage sends out blasts at Toxic who dodges every blast from his attacks by jumping up and down and kicking Linkage in the face, sending him across the river.

Linkage gets up, spitting out vile, Toxic laughs mockingly at him. "The Boy of Tomorrow, you're not so special!" he shouts as he grabs Linkage and kneels him to the stomach. "We will make sure you suffer."

"If...if this is about taking down your master, then I'm not sorry." Linkage told him with a glare "He's a monster and-"

"Oh no, Loud." toxic spoke in a mocking tone "This is more than John Tetherby's problem." he spoke as he held Linkage in a chokehold "You are going to pay for humiliating me, make me look bad, cost my father's job!"

"What...are...you...?" Linkage suffocated as he saw Toxic's face morph from the mouth, and open up a familiar face. This causes Linkage to look shocked "No..."

"Yehehes, Loud," spoke Chandler as he looked different. His skin has lost its tanned color and is now sickly pale, his hair looks grey and swampy, and his eyes are blood-filled. "It's only fair if you know who I am...the one who ends you!" he said as he threw Linkage onto a tree. "But not right now. I'm gonna make you suffer, starting with the one closest to you!" He morphs his face back to Toxic. "First the one weakest...the fossil."

Linkage's eyes are of the last sentence, only to see Toxic flying away by morphing his back into wings. "No...NO!"

Pop Pop looks down, button up his shirt, and someone opens the door. "Whoa!"

A nurse came in. "Oh sorry Albert, didn't mind but the bus is outside, gonna take you to parade."

"Oh thank you, need cheer on my little granddaughter," Pop Pop said putting on his overalls.

The nurse looked for the gift. "Hmm...you got gifts, got any special girl in mind?"

Pop Pop looked at her. "Well, a new woman looking in eyes, others from my daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughter, even my dear grandson...although one card came only says...Guess who?"

Unaware of both of them, Toxic comes to the window, about to burst open to end the old man's life, but stops by a blur of speed causing both Pop Pop and the nurse to look. Outside, Linkage grabbed Toxic, having a deep glare, he shouted angrily. "Stay away from him"

Linkage throws him to the ground, causing him to make a hole, the Boy of Tomorrow lands on the ground. Both exchange blows, but Toxic has little trouble fighting Linkage's fast-speed attack. So he throws a punch, morphs his other hand into a hammer, and sends it down, Linkage creates a living forcefield, blocking its attack. Just that Toxic jump-away, Linkage looked up and realized Toxic tried to get his grandfather, so he flew to him, and grabbed his back. "You not going near him!"

Linkage does a high spin around and slams Toxic to the ground, Linkage goes down ready punches him but Toxic jumps away as spoke. "Fine, he's not the only target that is weak,"

"What?!" Linkage shouted saw the sludge hit his face, burn it off with his energy, and saw Toxic was nowhere to be seen. He took off flying, hoping he not be there too late.

In Royal Woods, during the Thanksgiving parade, Clyde, Jesse, and Charles walk the people until the parade floats.

"Okay, this is the place of others will come," Clyde said as smiled.

"Hope Lincoln comes to cheer Lily on," Jesse said as Charles barked in agreement.

Linkage keeps flying until he lands on the building, he looks through his goggles to see Clyde and others at the front of the parade and sees Loads at the food stand including Pop-Pop and Aunt Ruth.

"Great, going after someone that close to me, and I got a lot of people that close to me." Linkage said to take a breath. "Calm down, I see them all from here, if something goes wrong my high senses will trigger to find Chandler."

Suddenly Linkage's senses alarmed him, its spot on the turkey's nose. Linkage flies on the building, once he gets the view of the problem; he's eyes go wide with horror.

"No..." Linkage whispered in horror.

Hanging from the turkey's nose happens to be Sarah who is tied up by a sludge goop even stick mouth.

"HMM-HM-HMMM!" Sarah screamed in panic.

Linkage is about to save her but then is caught by the goo rope by Toxic, who swings him back to hit a radio pole. "Yowch!" he winced as he glared at Toxic "Stop this right now, Chandler, what would your mother think?"

"Screw her! She's been against me for too long! And now she's going out with some punk, she's considering leaving my dad!" Toxic cries out which sounds like a whine.

Linkage got up as he flew up, he thought of a plan. 'Clone yourself, Linkage. Once you're out of Toxic's sight.' he thought as he sent out a blast towards Toxic whose arm creates a shield to block it. The shield blocks Toxic's vision, giving Linkage the perfect opportunity to clone himself to sneak away from the scene to save Sarah.

The clone was gonna save Sarah but a blast hit the clone as it's disappeared, coming from Princess who holding a futuristic sniper.

'Sorry Linkage, but I wanted her to show up to have a rematch.' Princess thought wanna take on the little fairy hero.

The Loud Family was waiting for Lily to come in with her class, Lana looked up to see the big balloons until she found something interesting.

"Hey, looks like the big turkey doing King Kong this year," Lana said with a smile.

Luna rolled her eyes as spoke. "Hundred times Lana, Turkey doesn't carry-" she looks at the turkey then gets a shocked expression at seeing Sarah tied up. "SARAH!"

"Sarah? That's weird?" Lana asked seeing Luna run off.

Gar seems helping place food on Lynn Sr's food stand, while Leni company him.

"Thank you for the help, Mr. Logan." Lynn Sr said with a smile.

"No problem, I have not been so busy since Leni asked me to help you," Gar said finishing the work.

"He's the best," Leni said sees Luna ran to them. "Hi Luna, have you seen-"

"No time for that! Sarah is in trouble!" Luna shouted in panic.

Gar grew serious. "I got to go! Wish me luck!"

Leni called out. "Be careful!"

While running Gar touches his earpiece. "Glow come in!"

Jesse receives Gar's call "Yeah, Gar?"

"Sarah, she's tied up on the turkey float! Wish for her to safely land on the ground somewhere, or by where I'm at!" Gar told her.

Jesse saw the turkey float come in, shocked to see Sarah was about to fall "I wish Sarah could float down safely where Gar is!" Jesse wished.

Sarah's rope breaks as she's about to fall, but then she stops falling as she is now floating. She floats all the way to behind the stand where she lands in Gar's arms safely.

"Sarah, you okay?" Gar asked removing the mouthpiece.

"Yeah, I'm alright...thanks to you and Glow. Where Lincoln?" Sarah asked

"Fighting...a monster," Gar answered pointing to the battle.

Linkage punches back at Toxic, making him slide back. Linkage looks at the turkey float, seeing that Sarah's safe with Gar. 'Glad she's safe.'

Toxic looks as he scoffs "Great, Morebucks should've done a better job in preventing her rescue!"

"Morebucks? How is she involved in this?" Linkage asks him.

"Wouldn't you like to know!" Toxic mockingly laughs as he is suddenly blasted by a high green beam. "UGH!" he shouts as he is flying across the buildings.

Linkage turns to see Glow by his side. "Glad you're here to help."

"Why didn't you contact me earlier? And who's the muck man?" Glow asks him.

"Long story short, my comlink is broken and that monster is Chandler." Linkage told him.

Glow is shocked that the green bulk monster is Chandler. "Make sense, let's take him-AHHH!"

Linkage sees Glow getting blasted at the back. "Glow!"

Glow looks back to see Princess wearing a golden-end black bodysuit. "You?!"

"Yes...ready for round two?" Princess questions Glow glares at Princess Morebucks "I wish for a pair of boxing gloves." she says as boxing gloves appear in her hands. "Bring it on, %#$&!"

Princess grew angry as she launched herself towards Glow, who stood by. As Princess is about to punch Glow, her suit stops her. "W-What?!" Princess exclaims as she feels her suit gaining control on her own as it hovers down the roof of a building. The suit ejects Princess Morebucks off of her. "What's the big idea!?"

"Due to violating the user's agreement, you are barred from using Atoms Lab property after breaching the contract." Sarah's voice spoke, "After Garfield Mark Logan did a background check on you, your father never mentioned your past criminal activities like fighting the PowerPuff Girls and terrorism."

"Hey, I wanted to be-" Princess said cut off by the suit flying away. "Come back here!"

"I wish Princess Morbucks was asleep."

Suddenly Princess fell asleep and drop to the ground, Glow next to her while smirking.

"Too easy..." Glow said with a smile.

Linkage smirk. "Guess you outnumbered-"

Toxic only smirk. "We have not wanted to fight you now Linkage, we are just a little distraction."

"A what-AHHH!" Linkage said just hit in the face by the goop.

"Don't worry, we will meet again and we promised to take back everything you've done to me."

Linkage finally burns out the goop, to no Toxic in sight. "Chandler."

Glow goes to Linkage with Princess in her arms. "Are you okay?"

"Fine, feeling this only the beginning." Linkage response

Inside the Royal Roods Prison; The Lock, Johnny is seen in his prison uniform looking out through the bars of his window.

"Dammit that Linkage, and damn that wife of mine filing a divorce." he curses as unknown to him, a sap of sludge comes down from the bar window. It gurgled which made Johnny look and see the creature "What in the-" the sludge splat onto his chest as it grew and wrapped all around his body "GAAAAAAHHHH!"

The two guards heard Johnny's screams, as they marched down there. "What's going on, Joh- oh lord." one guard spoke as the two saw in shock.

Both of them see a Johnny who has sludge all over his left body as the green color turns dark red.

"J-Johnny?" Prison guards question in fear.

The man began to chuckle and then laugh crazy, turning them with the eyes of a killer. "Called me...Massacre." Johnny said as charged into the prison who was screaming.

In Atoms Lab, Lincoln with Jesse, Clyde, Sarah, and Gar talk about what happened.

"So Chandler is Toxic, having sludge thing like a symbiote," Gar said

"Yeah, but that thing is killing him can tell of his face," Lincoln answered crossing his arms.

"I wonder how he knows who you are and what ability you do," Jesse said

"John made that sludge to kill me, Chandler likely got the job," Lincoln replied

Sarah gets angry. "Well he gonna get there through us."

Clyde nodded. "I agree, no one messed with my best friend!"

"Thanks, guys, but I'm worried...since he knows who I am, I think gonna get someone to get me," Lincoln states

They're shocked at the realization of that fact. Clyde and Jesse know how much of a jerk Chandler is but going after the people close to Lincoln terrifies them. He could be going after the Louds.

"This city has security cameras all around, especially around your family's street, Lincoln." Gar assures "As well as all the friends and people closest to you, they won't get hurt without our notice."

"And there's something else he said, that everything was a distraction," Lincoln states, feeling a tense feeling on what is gonna happen next.

"Thanks for helping me out, girls,"

Lilla is seen in her red jersey shirt and black short-shorts with tennis shoes at the park stapling missing person posters for Chandler, along with Jodi and Bloom.

"No problem, Mrs. McCain," Jodi replied, wearing a black jacket over her white shirt, blue jeans, and black boots. Bloom is next to her wearing a green mini dress and sandals.

"A friend of Lincoln's is a friend of ours," Bloom responds

"You know, you girls are so nice...I hope you two get adopted...perhaps-" Lilla said

"Think that Mom,"

Suddenly three of them get wrapped around by a green and red sludge. All of them see Toxic and shocking Massacre with a sinister smile.

"Y-You!" Lilla said in fear.

"Hi...honey..." Massacre replied with a sinister smile.

Oh man, looks like the ladies in trouble can Linkage and other fellow heroes stops them...stay tuned tomorrow to find out!
