Episode 18: 2 Years Ago

Bridgette looked down at the tiny scars on her arm.

Jason entered the room, "Bridgette, Luna Moth said her new akuma is processing well."

"Hmm. I'll go check on it later . Have Cat Noir and Ladybug shown up at all?"

"No, hope they didn't get hit by it so soon."

….

Sophie groaned and leaned up to look at the girl that had shaken her away. It was a very pretty girl with black hair, and very bright green eyes. She was talking to her in english and Sophie shook her head and replied in French, "Sorry, I don't speak English."

The girl paused then replied in accented French, "I speak French so I think we're good."

"Oh."

The black haired girl helped the blonde up and stared for a minute, "Wait, why are we in this hall way, how did I get here? Who are you?"

Blinking the girl replied, "all I can say is I'm Emma and I'm just as confused. Last thing I remember I was in my class, in New York."

Sophie reached for her purse but found it was around, and without it she had no money or phone, "I'm Sophie and crap this is confusing."

"Yeah," Emma muttered as she glared at her phone, "It won't open at all."

"We should probably try to contact our families or something," Sophie told as she reached for arm and started leading her down the stairs to get out of the building.

The girl blinked as if surprised but let her continue as they reached outside and we're meet with a slightly overcast day.

Sophie made a face and pulled the hoodie on her jacket up.

"That's my jacket."

"Huh?" Sophie asked, confused.

Emma pointed to a small logo on the black jacket of a panther roaring above the words Papenbrook Academy, "that's my school hoodie."

Sophie stared at it, "Why am I wearing it? You have a different jacket on. So…"

This seemed to stress Emma out as she started fidgeting.

"Hey," Sophie rubbed Emma's arm, "Relax, I'm sure this has an explanation."

Emma breathed a sigh and started relaxing as they noticed someone nearby watching a news report.

"-The current akuma is calling itself MemoryWipe. It is erasing people's memories of the past 2 years. We ask that the citizens of Paris remain calm as we expected the Heroes of Paris to fix the issue and for Ladybug to fix all the damages since this is an akuma-"

Sophie and Emma looked at each other in shock.

….

Emma looked up from her doodle as Sophie sat two boba teas on the table and was surprised, "Lychee? I asked for peach."

The blonde handed her debit card back and sat across from her, "Apparently, we come here a lot according to the cashier. You always order that."

Emma looked at the tea and took a sip anyway, "Damn, that's good. But the cashier knows us? So, we must be friends?"

"I say so Ms. Agreste."

Emma froze and looked at Sophie in shock.

"It's on the card," Sophie pointed out, "I'm Sophie Lèon. Chloé 's daughter and you are Emma Agreste like Louis's older sister Agreste right?"

That threw Emma for a loop, "Um. Yeah. Wow, so…"
"We must be friends. Our families are friends after all. Heck, I'm already friends with Louis," Sophie insisted as she glance down at the doodle Emma had been working on and stared, "Wow, is that me?"

Emma wadded up the napkin, "Um, I'm not that good drawing people-"

Sophie fought and stole the napkin, "I say your pretty good, Em." She unfolded it to show a realistic drawing of her.

Emma blushed and noticed a necklace around Sophie's neck that was a yang symbol around her neck, "Hey, that necklace…"

The blonde pulled the necklace up, "Yeah? It is new."

Emma pulled the necklace around her shirt up to show Sophie's that she had the matching yin symbol, "Um…"

Sophie blinked, "We must be very close friends, I hope Ladybug solves this soon so we can remember each other."

The older girl fiddled with her necklace, "Maybe we were on a date."

"Huh?" Sophie asked confused, "Date?"

"Well, um," Emma pulled out her phone and showed her phone background, which was a picture of Emma and Sophie smiling at the camera cake in their hands, sitting very close together, "I think we could be dating…."

Sophie stared at the picture then at Emma, the older girl was very beautiful and she found her eyes fascinating. Gosh, her 14 year old brain is so confused, Emma seemed nice so far but she didn't really know here. But the more she waited to respond to Emma the more anxious she looked so she smiled and took Emma's hand, "Well, if we are dating. I think I'm very lucky. You seem great. You know what regardless, let's go grab lunch. Your treat."

Emma relaxed and smiled. She stood and motioned with her arm, "My lady, lead the way. I will get very lost."

The blonde couldn't help but laugh as she stood handing Emma's tea into her right hand and taking her left as they left, "How's Italian sound?"
"I don't care, as long as your happy."

"Smooth talking already?"

"I assure you not. Just honesty"

They both smiled at each other as they couldn't help but feel a confronting warmth from their combined hands. A feeling of belonging and familiarity. The blonde leaned over and kiss Emma lightly on the cheek and Emma blushed and smiled brightly back.

….

The cashier sighed and look as blonde and the black haired girl left, "Why are they always so cute when they're here?!"

The other worker hit him in the head, "The lesbians are not for you, Jun stop looking!"

...

Meanwhile on the other side of Paris a panicked Plagg and Tikki were searching for anyone to help them find Emma and Sophie.

Author's Note 2

I'm just imagining Plagg flying around Paris with a post of Emma going have you seen my human? with a face palming Tikki. Anyway, I got the vaccine today and my arms is burning now so if I loose an arm it's been real guys.

Also, I'm need puns guys. Like think of animal name puns for like the miraculous heroes I need 'em. Its for a later chapter.
