Episode 20: Wishful
Sophie opened her eyes and blinked annoyed at the light.
"SOPHIE."
She looked over at the door and saw it was Hugo at the door, "come on. Dinner's ready."
As he left Sophie sat up. She looked around. Where was she? She noted the bookshelf full of sci-fi and fantasy books, oh she must be in Emma's room.
She must have fallen asleep hanging out.
As she moved to leave the room, she paused looking at the white and blue sheets before shaking her head.
There just sheets, why is she weirded out?
She jogged down the stairs and glared as she saw Iris at the table holding the hand of a familiar looking black haired girl.
Sophie coughed breaking up their soft talking.
They turned around and looked confused at Sophie.
"Yes?"
Sophie glared at them, motioning to their sitting and hand holding, "do you mind?"
The green eyed girl looked confused as Iris rolled her eyes, "yes. This is my Agreste, You have your own Agreste."
"Huh?"
As she said that she heard feet on the stairs as a girl identical to the one at table, except for her glasses and hair, came down the stairs, "Hey, dinner ready?"
"About," Iris replied, "Can you control your girlfriend?"
Emma raised her eyebrow as she wrapped her arm around Sophie, "What? You okay?"
Sophie felt her head twinge but she waved it off and relaxed in Emma's arm, "Sorry, for some reason I thought Emilie was you."
Emilie raised her eyebrow and motioned to her twin, "Me? This doofus?"
"Rude," Emma replied playfully.
"Who's rude?" Louis asked, as he and Hugo entered the dining room placing the salad and bread on the table.
Iris laughed and explained, "Sophie must still be sleepy from her nap and mistook Emilie for Emma for a second and we're making fun of Emma for it."
Louis looked over amused and pointed, "Guess, she still isn't used to your dye job."
"Ruder, this looks great," Emma ran a hand through her blonde hair.
"Blonde siblings rule," Hugo ran over and gave Emma a high five.
A voice called out from the kitchen, "Can you 4 actually come help us?"
Louis and Hugo walked in the kitchen as Emilie got up, giving Iris a quick kiss on the lips.
Emma removed her arm and gave Sophie a kiss on the forehead as she followed her siblings into the kitchen.
As she left Sophie looked around the room suddenly feeling out of space, "Iris, where are we?"
Iris looked up surprised from her cellphone, "Huh? The Agreste house?"
Sophie wandered to the table and took a seat, "Does something feel wrong to you?"
The red-head looked at her confused, "Like what?"
Like what? Like….what does feel wrong? Emma is her girlfriend, that's right right? Emma has a happy family right?
"You never dated Emma right?" the blonde asked confusedly.
"What? Where did that come from?" Iris replied incredulous, "No, she's my best friend. Just like Emilie is yours."
No, her best friend is- What? No Emilie is her best friend. God, why is she so uneasy and confused.
SOPHIE.
Sophie looked around confused then looked at Iris, "Did you say my name?"
"Okay, I'm starting to get really concerned. Do I need to call your mom? I know she was in England with your father but…" Iris trailed off as the Agreste siblings came in carrying in spaghetti more vegetables.
Followed by Adrien and Marinette carrying in cups and drinks, "Sorry, that took a while."
As Sophie looked at Marinette and her hand went up to her ears. They were empty. Why is that a surprise? Why do Marinette's earrings look familiar? Why is she so uneasy?
She felt a hand take hers. Emma's concerned green eyes meet Sophie's confused blue.
"You okay?" She asked.
Looking down at Emma's hand and the smiling table she repiled, "Yeah of course."
….
SOPHIE!
Sophie shook her head and focused on Emma taking her hand as she moved to walk her home.
"Hey, you want to stop and get ice cream for dessert?" Emma asked, smiling at her.
"Emma, does something seem...wrong to you?" Sophie asked the girl as she noticed her white button up shirt. Why is that not good? Why did she think it should be black?
"Um, not really," Emma replied as she pulled her closer and wrapped her arm around her shoulder, "Is it something I did?"
"No, no, no. You're being perfect," she replied, which she felt was the problem? But why would her life being perfect be a problem?
They continued walking and saw some heroes, Rena Rogue and Carapace maybe, jumping in the distance.
SOPHIE!
Sophie stopped and held her head. Emma immediately stopped and looked at her concerned, "Sophie?"
The way Emma was saying Sophie was wrong. Something was wrong with how she said it. It didn't sound right.
Emma gently kissed Sophie. It took a second but Sophie kissed back before gripping her in a hug. This is what she wants. So why does it seem wrong?
SOPHIE!
….
"Sophie!"
Emma pounded on the crystal like tomb Sophie Leon was trapped in.
"Fuck, Sophie!"
God, Emma did not understand why today had to go down like this. Emma was supposed to be meeting Sophie for Boba tea. But by the time she got her an akuma villain had appeared. Some Wish Godmother that was trapping people in crystal and going on about how everyone needs their dreams to be true. Emma had reached to grab Sophie and pull her out of the way when she got zapped.
Emma stood up and looked around and saw everyone had run from the area as had the akuma to follow the crowd and stood up, "Plagg, let's go! We have to meet with Ladybug to rescue Sophie and everyone."
Plagg floated out of her pocket looking sheepish, "That's not going to happen. Em. We have a problem."
The heroine looked confused at the kwami, "Problem? What are you talking about?"
Suddenly from Sophie's discarded purse a familiar kwami floated out, "A big problem."
As Emma saw Tikki a panic and fear swept through her body. As pieces came together in her mind, "No."

Next Chapter- Emma have to come out with a plan to get Sophie out of the wish crystal with Tikki and Plagg but can see deal with Sophie's wish world?
