I Know Who We're Going Out With Today

Danny returned home, feeling very upbeat after the most recent date he had.

As he had dinner with his family, he looked ready to see what he was going to eat.

"So, what's for dinner?" Danny asks.

"Something exotic." Maddie said with a smile as she presented what she brought. "Calamari risotto!"

She had a large plate of rice with pieces of octopus on the table. The sight of it made Danny's smile go away. Being reminded of what he went through today, Danny felt his appetite going away as he pulled away.

"Umm… pass." He said as he got up and walked away.

Maddie was left standing unsure as Jack shook his head.

"Boy really needs to improve his palate." Jack said as he took a plate full of risotto.

"Says the man who has 5 pizza boxes and buckets of ice cream in the Ops Center." Maddie pointed out as Jack took his first taste of the risotto.

"Hmm… not bad." Jack said.

30 minutes later

Danny was rating Bridgette, giving her a 7. She was a nice girl, but after the incident with the ghost octopus, he wasn't sure if she'd handle his secret life. Still, he did like being with her and enjoyed this date with her.

It was then he saw his phone ring and saw who it was.

"So, Tuck...who was it this time and did you finally change your profile?" He asked as he answered.

"Haha. I keep telling you that it's not my profile...as for my date...a six..." Tucker muttered.

"Uh oh. What happened?" He asked.

"Her name is Emma and she is a total babe and a surfer to boot. But she and I weren't really connecting, so we called it a day before anything else..." Tucker complained.

"Shoulda changed your profile..." Danny said.

"Oh, shut it… You just know that if it were you, she'd practically be Mrs. Danny Fenton by now." Tucker complained further.

"Come on, Tuck. You know that's an exaggeration. Plus, it's not like Bridgette and I are a couple now." Danny said.

"Oh, that's her name?" Tucker asks, sounding miffed.

"Uh… yeah." Danny went.

"She was pretty and had a good time with you? She gave you a kiss?" Tucker asks.

"A hug and an email, actually." Danny answered. He noticed how silent Tucker was. "Uh… Tucker?"

He noticed the call ended, suggesting Tucker hung up.

Knowing Tucker wasn't in the mood to talk further, Danny decided to just go along with seeing who his next date was.

He noticed in his email that there were two messages from the website. One read at the bottom "Potential hacking". He opened and read that there was a cyber-attack on the site, though it seemed to have not targeted any of the users, no information was leaked and no one reported any spam or stolen data. Letting a breath of relief out, Danny saw his other email was his next date.

He noticed the date was not there, but a place in Amity Park he was familiar with. With that, he felt his stomach grumble, leading him to groan.

"I guess that octopus rice will have to do…" He muttered.

The next day

Danny was on his way on foot to where he was meeting this girl. For once, he didn't have to fly, as it was the first date in a long time to take place in Amity Park.

He stood on the sidewalk as he looked at the flowers. With a breath, he adjusted his heart sticker and made sure the flowers were neat.

Hope she likes these… He thought as he reached where they were to meet.

The Skulk n Lurk, a store Sam was a frequent customer at.

He did not think much of it as he was almost there. That's when he saw her.

He saw a tall, pretty girl with long brown hair, dark blue eyes, fair skin and she was wearing an all black outfit.

He felt his jaw drop as his heart began to beat faster.

She's… wow… He thought.

With a smile, he put a hand through his hair and made his way.

"Hi!" He went with a smile.

Upon seeing him, she seemed slightly upset before, with a huff, she smiled.

"Hi. You're D-Fenton, right?" She asks.

"Yeah, I guess you're V Doof." He said.

"That's me. I'm Vanessa. Vanessa Doofe-" She paused, looking unsure of something. "So, I'm Vanessa Doof, and you're…?" She gestures to him.

"Danny Fenton. So, I guess you named yourself after your favorite Pokémon, huh?" Danny asks with a smile.

Vanessa raises an eyebrow, looking clueless.

"Huh?" She asks.

Danny's eyes darted left and right as if wondering what to say next.

"You know… cause… V Doof? Rhymes with… Bi…" He paused. "Actually never mind, bad joke." He then recalled the flowers he held in his hands and cleared his throat. "Anyway… these are for you."

Vanessa took the flowers, her mood lifting slightly.

"Nice." She said with a small smile. "So… mind if I look around before we go?" She asks.

"Not at all. I've been here before with a friend." Danny said.

"Neat." Vanessa said as she opened the door, waiting for Danny to follow.

Little did he know, this date was going to take a completely different turn.

Finally, Vanessa Doofenshmirtz. The character you hinted at a few chapters ago." Deadpool said.

"Although, I wasn't gonna use her yet." NeoMark said before shrugging. "Okay, a bit of a confession time, I was gonna put someone else here… but, I replaced Debbie with Melissa, so I realized I should replace the other Klasky Csupo character with another character by the duo of Povenmire and Marsh. Hamster & Gretel is too recent for my rules to allow, so I stuck with Phineas & Ferb. Since Candace has her boyfriend, I went with Vanessa. Plus, FP11 suggested I put a female villain or "femme fatale" type character since I am not using Black Cat… problem is that there weren't that many characters and Vanessa barely fits that."

"And the best part is that this doesn't interfere with the timeline of either show like Debbie and Angelica did… which reminds me." Deadpool said as he took out a phone.

"What're yo-" NeoMark was cut off by a hand being raised.

Deadpool put the phone in speaker, allowing them to hear the ringing until it was answered.

"Hello? Guys?" The voice of Flower Princess11 was heard.

"Hey, FP! How's it goin'?" Deadpool asks.

"For the last time, Wade, I'm not inserting a subplot in Danny and Kara where Wonder Woman, Jean Grey, Shego and Cammy from Street Fighter become your harem. Not only because I don't want to do that, but I'm pretty sure they'd rather tear your limbs off over and over again instead of agreeing to do whatever you have in mind." She was heard saying in disapproval.

"Ha! Cute but I vow to wear you down. Anyway, that's not why I'm calling. So, Neo's just put Vanessa Doofenshmirtz in to replace Angelica Pickles." Deadpool said.

"He finally put her in there, huh? Called it." FP11 said in a knowing tone.

"I know… anyway, been curious about something for 5 years now." Deadpool said.

"Yeah?"

"You are aware of Rugrats Go Wild, right?"

"The crossover with Rugrats and Wild Thornberrys."

"Cool, so… y'know Angelica and Debbie are both in there, sharing plenty of scenes together?"

"Yeah?"

"And Angelica was still too young to know where babies actually come from?" Deadpool asks.

"Y-Yeah?" FP11 asks, sounding like she wasn't sure where he was going with this.

"So… how can they both be dates for Danny in the original if Debbie's not too old and Angelica is suddenly in the same age range? Did the Thornberrys enter some kind of time portal or something?" Deadpool asks.

'Look, I figured it would be no big deal at the time. Besides, plenty of people take chances like that in fanfics but for the sake of convenience, let's say that Rugrats Go Wild happened in another timeline, universe or whatever that isn't connected to Many Dates..." She said.

"Gotcha, thanks FP." Deadpool went.

"Whatever. I'm still NOT giving you a harem, be tee dubs!" FP said.

"Peace!" Deadpool said before hanging up, allowing them to continue.

20 minutes later

Vanessa and Danny were now seated at a table inside the Skulk n Lurk where they ordered some drinks.

As they waited for their orders, they tried to talk and get to know each other.

'So, Danny? Uh… I would like to learn about your likes and dislikes in a way to get to know how compatible we are as teenagers..."Vanessa said in a stifled, unnatural sort of way.

Danny raised a brow at that.

Why does it sound like she rehearsed that? He thought before thinking he was looking too much into it.

"Oh, well, I go to school here at Casper High, I like to go bowling and I'm aiming to be an astronaut." He answered her.

"That so? That's something you want? Not your dad?" Vanessa asks.

"No… I think he'd rather I be more like him." Danny admitted.

He has no idea how much more I'm like him than he thinks… Danny thought before looking at his date.

"So, what about? You got a dad who wants you to follow in his footsteps too?" Danny asked.

Vanessa seemed to relax a bit.

"It's nothing serious, my dad is just kind of embarrassing to be around but I know he cares for me..." Vanessa said.

"I know that feeling. My dad can be pretty embarrassing too...but I doubt yours runs around in a jumpsuit..." He guessed.

"No, but he wears a lab coat..." Vanessa said.

"Sounds more appropriate to wear in public." Danny said jokingly.

Vanessa cracked a smile at that, almost as if starting to like being around him now.

This might go better than I thought… She thought.

After Lunch

The two walked together, Danny talking about incidents in Amity Park.

"And that's where my folks caused a city-wide blackout." Danny admitted sheepishly.

"Whoa… your parents and my dad might actually get along then. He's a scientist too." She said.

"Oh, what does he do, exactly?" Danny asks.

"Oh… uhh… build… robots?" She responded as if unsure if she said the right thing.

"Huh… neat." Danny said.

"Heh… yeah." Vanessa said as she took a step forward.

Danny pulled her by the wrist.

"Watch your step." He said, pointing to a pothole on the ground.

"Whoa. Thanks, I didn't even see that." She said.

"No problem." Danny said before he noticed he was touching her wrist and didn't react the way he usually did.

As he let go, he looked to his hand for a moment and smiled.

Huh. I didn't get the usual weak knee reaction. I guess… I'm getting better at talking to and interacting with girls than I used to be. He thought.

Vanessa, meanwhile, kept a smile as her mind spoke something different from what she appeared to be.

Stupid! I can't believe you didn't see a pothole! You're turning into Dad! Pay attention to your surroundings, even if you have a job to do! She thought.

10 minutes later

The two teens were now walking together , trying to figure out the next spot for their date.

"So, where do you wanna go next?" Danny asks.

"Got any hotspots in mind?" Vanessa asks before the sounds of sirens buzzing caught their attention.

Danny saw they were speeding to Axiom lab and realized one thing.

Really? I can't go on one date before something like this starts happening? He thought with an unamused look on his face.

He knew that he had to help.

"Uh… why don't we meet up at the Nasty Burger? I'll meet you there soon." Danny said.

"Okay." She said quickly.

Danny paused before taking a step away, surprised to hear her say that.

"Uh… really? You sure?" Danny asks.

"Totally." Vanessa said.

"Oh… okay." Danny said, unsure but also not willing to take a risk.

He left to go deal with the emergency. Once he was gone, Vanessa dropped her smile and groaned.

"Finally… now to get to work…" She said.

At Axiom Labs

The entire building went into lockdown and inside was the perpetrator behind it.

"Ha! Wonderful! Now, I, Technus, have access to all this powerful machinery! With it, I will find a suitable weapon to be rid of that accursed ghost boy!" He declared as he hovered away from the console, going towards a large crate. "And let's start with this strange energy signal I keep picking up from their little donation from…" He looked to the crate's return address. "Annie Nymus. Interesting name…"

Before he could open the crate, a blast of energy knocked him down.

"That's not yours! Didn't your mom teach you not to open someone else's presents?!" Danny called out as he appeared and flew towards Technus with fists forward and clenched.

"You leave my mom out of this!" Technus shouted as he fired a blast of electricity from his hand.

Reacting fast, Danny avoided the attack when he did a barrel roll

"Do a barrel roll!" Deadpool went with a snicker.

"Shut up." NeoMark said.

Thinking fast, Technus used his power over machines to turn some nearby equipment into a 10 ft robot.

"Deal with him!" He ordered.

Complying, the robot with a monitor for a head ran at Danny, swinging its fist at him. Danny caught the fist with ease.

"I see Technus has been watching anime… unfortunately, he's too fool to be cool." Danny said.

With that, he swings the robot over his shoulder, slamming it into the floor.

Meanwhile, Technus opened the crate and pulled out a large blaster-like weapon.

"What is this?" Technus asks as he looks to the small instruction booklet. "The blaster-inator?" He asks upon firing at Danny.

Reacting fast, Danny swung the robot to take the blast. The Robot stood silently for a moment, not moving. Danny wondered about it until it suddenly started break dancing and the robot dance of all things before it burst into flames a second later.

"Uh… what just happened?" Danny asks.

"Wow… that was kinda cool." Technus went as he took aim at Danny.

"Uh oh…" Danny said as he flew around the room, avoiding shots from Technus.

"Hold still!" Technus shouted as he fired once more.

Despite his attempt, Danny wasn't quick enough. He was hit in the back.

"GAH!" He yelped as he was sent flying through the wall, knocking him out and turning him back into his human form.

"Neat! I gotta go around town and give this puppy a go!" Technus said before leaving.

Little did he know that someone found Danny and pulled him away.

After a few minutes

Danny slowly stirred awake and groaned.

"Ow, my head..." He hissed as he regained consciousness.

"Easy there. You took a nasty hit..." A familiar girl's voice was heard.

Danny's and saw that it was Vanessa, who was currently bandaging up his hand.

"Vanessa?!" He exclaimed.

"Easy, you took a nasty hit..." She said as she nursed him to health on the floor.

Danny blinked, reaching for his forehead to feel the bandage around it before noticing his ungloved hands.

Wait...I was in… did I change back? He thought, nervous and afraid.

"Danny… I have a confession to make." Vanessa said with a serious look on her face. "You're not the only one hiding a secret. I didn't come to Amity Park to blind date. I came to get a superweapon my father sent me to uncover. I'm part of a secret elite squad of spies to apprehend a powerful weapon that was sent here because my job was to get it while playing the role of long distance watcher." Vanessa explained.

Danny blinked upon hearing that.

"You are? Did you know a ghost like Technus would be after it?" He asks.

"I didn't know that ghosts were actually real. Still, help me and I promise not to share any information about this..." She said.

"You mean you'll help me?" Danny asked, surprised to hear this.

"Without question..." Vanessa said as she gave her hand to him.

Looking at it quickly, Danny smiled and took her hand.

With Technus

The ghost of technology grinned darkly as he fired the blaster on the Axion Labs' sign.

"I haven't had this much fun since I got that excellent replica of the Enterprise!" He said with a big grin.

Unknown to him, a certain duo were watching from afar.

"Make sure not to damage the blaster-inator, it's made with an explosive core. It might blow if you break it." She said.

"Got it." Danny said.

"I'll distract him..." She said.

"Be careful..." Danny said.

Vanessa nodded as she went behind Technus and thought fast

"Hey...ghost with the shades!" Vanessa called out.

Technus turned his head in time.

"Yes? Other girl I've never seen before?!" Technus asks.

"Are you planning to use that thing to take over the world? Because I'd love to hear what your plan is!" Vanessa went, feigning curiosity.

"Ha! I'd never fall for that again!" Technus declared. "...this time." He said quietly.

"Y'know, you got a lot of competition! Like this one guy in Danville, for instance!" Vanessa went, seeing Danny turn invisible from the corner of her eye.

"That so?" Technus asks, putting the blaster-inator down.

"Sure is. He's got all sorts of tech… that sometimes works as it should…" Vanessa said, adding that last one sheepishly.

With Technus distracted, Danny grabbed the device before he noticed.

"Got it!" Danny cheered.

That is when Technus notices him and becomes angered.

"YOU AGAIN?! Don't you ever take time off or go on dates like a normal teen?!" Technus snarled.

"I'm actually on a date right now. Maybe you should find a date too? Someone who'd tell you that ponytail you're rocking is a dud..." Danny quipped.

"It's a mullet!" Technus shouted in anger, only to be blasted because he was too angry to see Danny's finger aiming at him.

Vanessa, who was too close, was spotted by Technus.

"Oh darn..." She said.

Technus grabbed her by the arm and lifted her up.

"Another twerpish partner of his?!" He asks as he readied to attack her before a knee to the face made him let go of Vanessa and fall to the ground.

"Back off!" Danny shotued before looking at Vanessa with a more worried expression. "You okay?" He asks.

"Y-Yeah..." Vanessa said with her cheeks turning pink slightly.

With Technus down, Danny pulled out the thermos.

"Seriously, dude. You can't make a ponytail work!" Danny quipped as he fired.

"It's a mullet!" Technus yelled as he was trapped inside.

With that done, Danny landed on the ground next to Vanessa.

"That was quick." She commented.

With a nod, Danny turned around.

"Now… to take this back to Axiom Labs." Danny said.

"Actually…" Vanessa said.

Danny looked back with a smile.

"Actu-" He paused when seeing a blaster at him.

"I'm taking that. It's what I came for." She said, having a cold look on her face.

"Huh?" Danny asks.

"Just give it like you're supposed to." She ordered.

"Vanessa, what are you doing?" Danny asked.

Vanessa sighed.

"Look Danny, it's nothing personal...but I had to get this for my evil father..." She said.

"Evil father?" He questioned.

"Who do you think sent me?" She asks.

"So… you were planning this from the start?" Danny asks.

"Please Danny, just give it to me and I promise not to hurt you..." Vanessa said, trying to sound sweet.

Danny mentally rolled his eyes but sent her a fake smile.

"Sure..." He said, as he handed it to her.

She smiled.

"Now… to show you what it's really capable of..." She said as she tried to test it out by firing at a nearby tree.

To her shock, it fell apart as soon as she pressed a button.

"Guess your dad should have gotten the extended warranty on the parts." Danny said with a smile.

"How?!" Vanessa questioned before noticing the parts inside had looked frozen. "Wait… is that… ice?"

"I had a feeling that it that so called core needed to chill, along with all the other parts..." Danny said.

"You did this?" Vanessa questioned.

"I did it before you pulled out your little toy. Which reminds me." Danny said before he fired from his finger, causing Vanessa's blaster to break in half.

"So, you knew all along?" Vanessa asked in surprise.

"Not at first but I had a feeling from the start since you were trying to sound all stiff, like it was the part of the script that bored you the most. You knew the device's name when you warned me not to destroy it. Plus, if you were part of some team, it wouldn't make sense for just one of you here, much less having no idea this place had ghosts..." He said.

Vanessa sighed in irritation.

"I guess I can cross being an actress off any potential career paths..." She muttered before she saw the stern look from him.

"What's the story?" He demanded.

Vanessa sighed again.

"Okay, I guess we should start. I'm not a super agent, I was sent by my dad to retrieve a weapon of his that was stolen by a rival. We hacked into the dating service last night in order to give me a cover for why I was here. I didn't want to, I'd rather expose him to the authorities, but I couldn't let his work be used by someone else. You just happened to be one of the only eligible choices since the other one, this TooFineTuck, looked a bit shady with his description..." She began.

"That explains the second email, and I can't blame you for thinking that about him… Still, who exactly are you? Is Vanessa even your real name?" Danny asks.

"My real name is Vanessa Doofenshmirtz, daughter of Heinz Doofenshmirtz..." She revealed.

"Never heard of him..." Danny said..

"Wait, really? You have never heard of my dad?" She asked.

"No...should I have?" He asked.

Vanessa groaned.

"I guess there was no point in using a fake name then..." She muttered.

"I mean… you used your actual first name." Danny pointed out.

"True…" Vanessa admitted, realizing she's taken more from her dad than she wants to admit.

"There is something I just don't get..." Danny said.

"What is it?" Vanessa asked.

"I thought you said you hated the fact that your dad is evil and you wanna bust him..." He said.

"I do..." Vanessa insisted.

"Then why are you helping him with his evil plot if you are against it?" Danny asked.

Vanessa blinked before frowning.

"It's a family thing..." She said.

"Aren't you being a hypocrite?" Danny asked, arms crossed.

"Excuse me?!" She demanded, feeling insulted.

"You say you are against what he does, but you are actively helping him commit a crime. Hacking a website and breaking into private property..." Danny pointed out.

Vanessa frowned, not liking being called out like this.

"He is my FATHER! Even if I think he's kind of a few fries short of a full combo, I can't just not do what he asks when he asks...besides, he promised me a special something for helping him out..." She added.

Danny rolled his eyes.

"I see..." He muttered.

"Okay… so… I guess this plan was a bust." Vanessa went.

"So...about my secret? Any chance you can forget what you saw?" Danny asked, worried about being exposed.

Vanessa thought about it before nodding.

"Well, since you save me from that creep who stole the blaster-inator, who I do admit is a terrible name, I owe you. How about this? We continue our date and my lips are sealed..." She offered.

Danny smiled in relief and nodded.

"Deal..." He said.

2 hours later

It was a slightly awkward interaction but Danny agreed to take her on a pleasant date for the rest of the day so that she would keep his secret.

Vanessa, despite what happened, seemed like a decent girl.

She explained that her father wasn't so much Justice League level dangers as he was more neighborhood troublemaker level dangerous. The only reason the government keeps any tabs on him is because despite his plots for world domination being rather comical, his tech is still somewhat dangerous.

"Seriously though, why do you help him if you're not into the whole world domination thing?" Danny asks as they walk with ice cream cones in their hands.

"Okay… I'll admit… he can be obsessive, childish, overzealous, overemotional, unbearable, ridiculous…" Vanessa, realizing she wasn't painting a good picture of her father, cleared her throat loudly. "... but he still does a lot to show he loves me."

"Apparently, he went through the effort to find that oddly named Mary McGuffin doll years after you gave up looking for one." Danny said, recalling something she said.

"Yeah. He's not so bad a dad…" Vanessa admitted.

"I kind of wish my dad would do stuff like that instead of being obsessed over hunting ghosts. Granted, I wouldn't help him with evil stuff." Danny said. "Still, why do you help him and not convince him to stop?"

"Again, I don't like doing evil but he is my dad. Even if he can be annoying and embarrassing, I don't wanna see him get all mopey by turning him down...again. He might be a doof... but it doesn't mean I don't care about him. It's kind of weird but it's become my norm..." She explained.

"Kinda like my powers." Danny said.

"So… to clarify…" Vanessa said as she finished her cone. "That portal machine your parents made is the reason you're… y'know." Vanessa went, gesturing to him.

"Yeah. Although, I don't recommend trying it for yourself. My sister, Jazz, thinks it's because of something in my DNA that made me survive the full on blast and get powers. You tried it… well… you probably won't be nearly as pretty." Danny commented.

"Good to know. But I doubt my dad would ever do that to me." Vanessa admitted with a small smile.

She thought of how her father bid her goodbye this morning and to make sure her date went smoothly.

Flashback

"Bye, Vanessa!" Doofenshmirtz called out to her as she walked out of the building. "Have fun and remember what we practiced!"

"Okay Dad!" She went, falling into embarrassment as she left, hiding her face behind her hands.

Flashback Over

Vanessa was still smiling until she noticed Danny, smiling at her after finishing his cone.

"Uh… something on my face?" She asks.

"Yeah. A smile. For a girl brave enough to stand up to a ghost, you have a pretty smile when you're genuinely happy. You must be close to your dad." Danny commented.

"Really?" Vanessa asks, raising an eyebrow. "What makes you say that?"

"Well… look at you right now. Despite the punk way of dressing-"

"Thank you for not mistaking it for Goth." Vanessa briefly interrupted him.

"... you're not mean or whatever. You're actually… a lot nicer than most girls at my school. If you ended up like this, it means your dad can't be a bad dad. The fact that you're willing to help his plans for world domination, which likely still fails seeing as we're not one nation under Doof, means something. It must mean something for him if he wants you to go along with it. If anything, I think he thinks that you're the best thing he's ever made." Danny said.

Hearing that put a smile on Vanessa's face.

"Thank you, Danny. That means a lot to me." Vanessa responded.

With a playful shrug, Danny smiled back at her.

Vanessa looked away, finding herself enjoying herself more than she thought.

This was not part of the plan… but I kinda like it. She thought.

It was then they noticed the time.

"Uh oh… I promised my dad I'd be home soon." Vanessa said as she walked to the side and hailed for a cab.

"So...I guess this is it..." Danny said as they were about to part ways.

"Yeah, looks like it. I had fun. And I promise not to reveal your secret to anyone, even my dad..." Vanessa said.

"Yeah...despite my secret getting discovered in a weird way...I had fun too..." Danny admitted.

Vanessa smiled at that.

"Glad to hear it..." She said, as she planted a light peck on his cheek.

Danny was surprised and blushed deeply.

"Uh..." He paused, unsure what to say.

Vanessa giggled a bit.

"Later ghost kid. It's been fun and look me up wherever you're in Danville..." She said as she left, waving goodbye as she entered the cab.

Danny stood there as he watched her leave. He touched his cheek and smiled a bit.

At Doofenshmirtz Evil Inc

Vanessa walked inside and saw her father trapped underneath a cage.

"Oh, Vanessa... Uh...how was your date?" He asked in a sheepish tone.

Vanessa rolled her eyes.

"I see that Perry the Platypus paid you a visit..." She snarked.

"Please help me get out of here..." Her father begged.

Vanessa did so, pressing a button. With her father now free, he hugged her.

"You'd be platypus food without me sometimes…" She muttered with a small smile.

"So, how did it go?" Heinz asked.

"It went off without a hitch...that ghost kid had no idea he was the real target." Vanessa said.

"See?! I told my operation: "set up the blaster-inator in that lab to make them think it's a donation and trick the ghost boy into thinking you're a spy sent to recover it while giving obvious hints that you're second cover story of retrieving it from someone who stole it from me" was a good plan!" Doofenshmirtz said before gasping for air. "Wow… that was a really long name… I should probably have shortened it to at least 5 words."

"Is it really a name when it was the exact thing I was supposed to do?" Vanessa asks.

"Well, you got to show off your acting talents, didn't you?" Doofenshmirtz asks.

"I did. I made him think I said your doohickey's dumb name by accident. Plus, he was so interested in me, he didn't seem remotely untrusting of me or question the idea you already knew his secret." Vanessa said.

"Perfect. Now… all we have to do it let him let his teenage boy hormones do the talking so that we can lure him in here for a trap and I can begin operation: learn h-"

"Dad. It's not a name when you're just saying what you're doing, examining him and learning how his powers work." Vanessa said.

"Alright, alright… well, at least you're home. Let's get dinner… Slushy Dogs?" Doofenshmirtz asks as he walked to get his keys.

"Sure Dad… sure…" Vanessa said as she looked away and smiled at the thought of Danny.

She told him that Danny fell for it and is clearly enamored with her. What she didn't tell her father is that a part of her was startling to like Danny too.

And that part was genuinely looking forward to seeing him again.
