Chapter 15: A beautiful day for a wedding
When Billy black received Elder Quil's phone call, he knew something serious was up.
Especially when he asked him to bring Sarah. He was also surprised to see Leah Clearwater amongst them.
"Leah? What are you doing here sweetheart?" he asked her. " your dad's not back from his business trips is he?"
"hello Elder Black, Mrs black. My dad's not back yet and I am here because Sam asked me to be here."
"how is life in Seattle? The art museum treating you good?"
"yes, sir it's been very good. Um, how is Jake? Is he busy this weekend?" she asked him shyly.
Billy couldn't help but smirk at Leah's interest. She and Jacob had been running circles around each other for years.
Before he could say anything Elder Quil, Chief Uley, and an unknown girl appeared.
However, Elder Quil had the biggest smile on his face.
"Billy! You will not guess who the spirits led to us!"
"Who?"
Elder Quil handed him an old photograph of a group of his old friends. He then pointed to Charlie.
"Now look at her!" he said in excitement as he pointed to the unknown girl.
A growl sounded through the room that made everyone freeze.
"stop pointing Elder, it's rude and you are making her feel uncomfortable.
But to Billy's shock and horror, the girl wrapped her arms around Samuels's waist and said "I'm ok Sam. I just have a lot of repressed memories that are resurfacing. It's a lot to take in."
She then looked at Billy and his wife saying " Uncle Billy? Aunt Sarah, do you remember me?"
His Wife seemed to recognize her first, as she shot off the couch, her hand covering her mouth in shock.
"Bella?" his wife asked with tears in her eyes.
Billy cussed when he finally saw it. This was his goddaughter.
"Well, no one has called me that in years." She laughed. " but it's nice to hear."
His wife was quick to pull her into a bone-crushing hug, sobbing the entire time.
"Oh, my sweet girl! My sweet sweet girl! You have to come over for dinner right away!" Sarah demanded.
"quit hogging the girl Sarah!" Billy boomed as he also pulled her into a hug however a tad bit gently.
"Bella…I don't even know what to say," he told her with tears in his eyes. The last time he saw the swan family crossed his mind. Charlie was his best friend. His brother.
"We should have never let you all go on that trip. we should have gone with you."
" There was nothing you could have done, Uncle Billy. You would have never known my parents wouldn't have returned."
"but where have you been Bella? What happened that night? Sarah asked in concern.
Once again a growl filled the room. All eyes turned to their chief.
However, Elder Quil intervened.
"how about we save this reunion for later? Our chief has to get hitched."
All eyes looked at Samuel in shock and yet no one dared to ask questions. They knew better than to question their chief.
"you all will be my witnesses." Samuel simply commanded. However, Bella lightly smacked his bare chest.
"Sam? You can't just demand them. Ask nicely." Bella corrected.
It was then Billy looked between his chief and his goddaughter. The proximity, Bella correcting him, and the way they kept looking at each other.
"you can't be serious!" Billy exclaimed.
Samuel's deep growl shook the walls as he stared at Billy.
The elder put his hands in the air and craned his neck. A sign of surrender.
" Mrs Black. Leah, Elder Billy. my mate and I would be honored if you witnessed our wedding and signed as witnesses?" Samuel asked with sincerity.
Billy wanted to object but held his tongue. His wife, however, squealed at the question.
"yes! We would love to!" she answered.
"very well, Sarah would you please help Bella get dressed, while I help the chief."
"of course! Come on Leah, we are going to help Bella!"

Bella smiled at Sam as they stood in the forest under a giant tree. Her hair had been braided back and she had been painted with different symbols in black body paint.
It was supposed to represent Sam's wolf.
She had been given a beautiful beaded dress and no shoes. Sam stood before her, his hair also braided with black body paint and a simple loin cloth. A multicolor blanket had been placed over her and Sam's shoulders.
Old Quil said a prayer over them before he began. He looked at her, with serious eyes.
"Do you Isabella Marie Swan bind your heart, body, mind, soul, and spirit with the man and wolf before you? To honor, serve, and submit to him? To love him in sickness and in health.
"I do." She said as she gazed into Sam's yellow eyes.
"And do you Chief Samuel Uley bind your heart, body, mind, soul, and spirit with the wolf before you? To honor, serve, and submit to him? To love her in sickness and in health."
"I do," Sam said as his eyes seemed to glow even brighter.
" do you both promise to serve the people of Lapush to the best of your ability? Promising to protect and cherish the people of the Quielute tribe?"
"we do." They said in unison.
It was then old Quil pulled the blanket tighter around them and turned them to face their witnesses.
"Everyone I present to you the new Mr. and Mrs Samuel Uley."
Sarah, Billy, and Leah clapped.
While Sam was signing their marriage certificate, Leah approached her.
"So you and the chief huh.." Leah said awkwardly.
Bella smiled at her.
" yeah, we met when we were kids years ago and we just couldn't let go. But what about you, Sam mentioned that you were his manager for his art?"
" yeah uh! Before I left for Seattle I phased. I'm the only female member of the pack. However, the chief fought tooth and nail for me to be able to go to college and not have to stay here on the reservation. He was only 16 at the time but I couldn't have been any more grateful. I hope you'll be good to him. You must be special if he kets you in like this."
"What do you mean?" Bella asked.
Leah sighed and said, "he's a great chief and a great alpha but the man…"
Leah let her words trail off and pulled Bella into a hug.
"I am just so glad you're here."
"Izzy," Sam called out. Bella pulled away from Leah and headed over to her husband.
His body language went from stiff to softening at her presence.
" You'll have to sign your name on our marriage certificate. And you know Leah's right. I can be a good alpha and I can be a good chief but a man… you'll have to fight for him, Izzy."
Bella took his face in her hands. Looking him in the eyes.
" I have been fighting for you since the day we met. I won't stop now."
With that said Sam picked her up and the newlywed disappeared into the forest.

Samuel hovered izzy, eyes glowing yellow.
They were in a meadow. The shadow of the trees covering them. They had stripped their mate naked. They could see every scar and vampire bite and even then she was still beautiful.
" do you trust us?"
" with my life.." she told him.
With passion he kissed her, his hands roaming all over her body. Electricity sparked as they touched. His mate wrapped her legs around his waist.
" saaam…please" she begged.
Sam chuckled. His wolf right on the surface.
" our mate all you have to do is ask."

Bella groaned when she got up from bed. She had no clue how they came back home anyway. She was in a room with a huge bed. brown blankets and pillows surrounded her. There was a brown dresser and a giant full-body mirror but other than that the room was pretty bare.
This must be Sam's room or our room now. Maybe I can add some throw pillows or plants to brighten up this place. I'll have to ask him. She thought.
There was also a connecting bathroom to their room and it had a huge tub! With jacuzzi settings too. As Bella turned on the tub, she turned to look at herself in the mirror.
On the skin between her neck and shoulder was a huge deep bite mark. Sam had marked her and oh man did it feel good.
She felt a wave of euphoria hit her when she touched it. Bella shivered.
As she looked at herself in the mirror, she noticed her hair was tussled and her body a little bruised. And yet she felt good. She felt beautiful and sexy. The way her husband panted her name when they switched positions was addictive.
But it wasn't just the sex that had her feeling on cloud 9, it was the vulnerability they shared last night. The hard truths they didn't want to say. Like how Sam had a fear of his father and was terrified of what his father would do if he discovered her. However, Sam wasn't afraid to fight his father if it came to it.
Bella ignored those thoughts and got in the tub. She and Sam were married now and they would have to take it one day at a time. Just as Bella was getting out of the tube she felt a presence.
She turned quickly and jumped back.
Standing naked was a teenager she did not know. He had long matted hair which was full of leaves and branches and his eyes were yellow and seemed somewhat scared.
"What are you doing in here? Get out!" she told him.
He stepped back but he wouldn't stop staring at her. He was shaking.
" you... you smell like a wolf." The teen told her. " I don't know what happened I was playing with my friends and then I got angry and then I- I went poof! All these voices in my head!"
The teen was in full-blown tears now and Bella felt bad.
Without thinking, she walked closer to him with slow and gentle footsteps.
" Hey. Hey, it's OK. What's your name?" she asked as she continued to approach.
"Kai, my name is Kai I- I can't breathe!" he panicked
Once again Bella acted purely on instinct and pulled Kai into a hug.
The shakes stopped immediately.
"Everything is going to be ok Kai." She reassured him.
" you smell like home." Kai sighed into her neck.
A howl was heard outside and the bathroom door burst open. The whole door burst into splinters.
Her husband stood tall with yellow eyes. He didn't say anything, all he did was stare. It was as if he was assessing the situation.
He then growled lowly, not uttering a single word.
Kai pulled away from her as he locked eyes with Sam, his nostrils flaring, pupils blown wide.
" alpha.." He whimpered.
" calm pup. Come." He ordered.
Immediately Kai's body locked and seemed to move without his consent.
Sam cuffed the back of the boy's neck and ushered him out of the bathroom leaving Bella alone.
She wanted to follow but she was only in a towel and she didn't have any clothes either. She had her black dress and Sam's sweater.
Black dress it was.

When Bella came out of the bedroom, and into the kitchen she found Kai chowing down at the breakfast table.
However, Sam was nowhere to be found.
"hey, kai. Where's Sam honey?" she asked.
Kai gestured toward the backdoor where snarls and growls could be heard.
She headed towards the back door but a hot hand grabbed onto her wrist.
" you shouldn't go out there. The pack is back there and the alpha is angry." Kai told her with fear in his eyes.
Bella held Kai's hand and said "Well you will just have to come with me."

When they reached the back porch, Bella was met with a shock.
Nine wolves sat in their backyard. All of them are in a circle with their heads bowed.
However, in the middle of the circle was a black wolf. His jaws were locked around the neck of a cream-colored wolf, pinning him down.
Bella gasped. She knew Sam was a wolf but she had never seen him. All she knew was that he was black.
But looking at him now, her wolf was huge, bigger than the rest.
Kai made sure to stand by her side, his arm stopping her from moving forward.
Bella jumped when Sam's wolf slammed the other wolf into the tree, a crunch and a howl of pain echoing in the October wind.
No one moved.
It was then Sam retreated from the group and gave one long howl.
It carried in the wind.
And then the wolves were gone. Two of them help the injured wolf up and disappear into the forest.
Bella waited with baited as Sam turned towards her. sitting on his haunches, with yellow eyes following her every move.
She made her way slowly towards him, Kai stepping back when Sam crooned.
His tail wagged at her presence.
Bella couldn't help but laugh.
It didn't take long for her to get to him.
"Sam." She greeted. Her fingers trailed through his long fur. He gently licked
her fingers.
"Something serious happened? In your pack I mean?" she questioned.
Sam looked at her with yellow eyes and then she heard it. Sam was speaking to her telepathically.
Yes, our lieutenant was disobedient. We knew Kai was showing signs of phasing but I wanted to give him a little more time before his life changed. I gave my lieutenant strict orders to watch Kai and if something seemed out of place, he was to take Kai out of harm's way immediately. However, my lieutenant decided to go do what he wanted to do instead of following my orders. Therefore Kai, having no clue what was happening to him, phased right in front of his friends and then found his way here.
Now I have to go talk to the elders and calm down some of the parents the day after my marriage. I wanted to show you my studio before you left today. I apologize for the inconvenience. What time do you have to be home?
"let's go for 11:00 tonight. And it's ok Sam, you warmed me that the tribe and the pack would always be involved. It's funny talking to you like this. I can hear you but your lips are not moving. How is that possible."
Sam snorted as he put his head in her lap. She continued to thread her fingers through his fur. Scratching behind his ears and under his chin.
"it's because of the bond. Eventually when I introduce you to them. You will be able to communicate with all the pack telepathically when we phase."
"Will I meet them? The pack I mean? Do they know about us?"
"They know I have a women in my home but they don't know who you are. I have never allowed a pack member into my home. Any time we gather, we gather at one of our private beaches. I keep my pack at a distance. It's what my father did and what his father did…but…parts of me are starting to doubt those methods."
Bella bit her lip as she listened to Sam talk.
"Kai is now the tenth member of our pack. And he's so young, he's only eleven years old. it's not supposed to happen like this. He's supposed to be playing with his friends and enjoying life, not sitting on my porch looking like a kicked puppy."
"Maybe you can start small when it comes to bonding with your pack. Let Kai stay with you?" Bella suggested.
Sam sighed deeply, as he closed his eyes.
" I'll scare him, Izzy. I scare everyone."
"oh, sam." Bella said as she buried his face in his fur. " you don't scare me. and Leah seems fond of you. She told me, how you fought for her freedom and helped her to move to Seattle. And Kai seems reliant on you when he sees you. so give yourself a chance and don't beat yourself up. now, have you eaten? You cooked a really good breakfast and I would hate for Kai to eat it all."
"We have big appetites. It wouldn't surprise me if Kai ate all the food. I made you a veggie omelet."
"Thank you, Sam. Now let's go eat."
And before her eyes, her husband seemed to smoothly phase back into a man. Seeing him naked made her blush once again.
He chuckled at the look on her face.
"see something you like butterfly?"
Bella ignored him and ran away.
Sam laughed after her.
It was going to be a long morning.
