At Metropolis
As Superman & Wonder Woman reach Metropolis where they Batman & Green Lantern were at Superman & Wonder Woman saw with them other people who were fight the creatures in the air thanks to their wings however they weren't the creatures that Superman and the other heroes have been fighting instead it was a man and a woman with bird wings wearing armor and they were each wielding a mace which she was using against the creatures.
"Hey look down there fellow warriors" Diana said seeing gathered heroes fighting against the creatures.
"I think I've heard about them from the Daily Star newspaper, they call themselves Hawkman & Hawkwoman just like original ones and they even look like the original ones" said Brandon.
"Are they perhaps related to the two allies that my mother had when she was in Man's World? Are these the allies you were speaking of?" Diana asked.
"Originally it was just the two others, Batman & Green Lantern but it's good to see that there are others who are fighting these things as well," said Brandon.
Superman then saw a red blur with a yellow lightning trail attacking the creatures and it finally stopped revealing it to be a man in a red suit with yellow boots and yellow lightning and Superman knew that this was the hero known as 'The Flash' the Scarlet Speedster of Central City.
Just as Superman & Wonder Woman got closer to them Superman was able to hear more of the creatures coming and soon enough more of the creatures flew down at Batman, The Flash, Green Lantern, Hawkman & Hawkwoman.
"FOR LORD DARKSEID!" The creatures cry out at them, preparing for battle.
However Diana changed straight at them letting out a war cry and as she attacked them. Her initial landing created an explosion that sent several flying, An elbow and punch to one sends it reeling back, and another moves to punch where she stands. Jumping back, Diana throws out a gold lasso she's been holding, roping the one that tried to attack her, before launching it with barely more than a flick of her wrist into a nearby building.
"Holy-..." The Flash mumbles in shock next to Green Lantern.
"Nice," Green Lantern said with a grin.
"Not bad, she's definitely Hippolyta's daughter," Hawkwoman said impressively.
"She's got skill, Hippolyta has trained her well " Hawkman said impressively.
"So this is who the media is calling Wonder Woman" Batman thought curiously as he watched Diana.
More of the creatures charge at her and so Diana sent the one that she lasso'd into the fray with a pull of her arm, destroying it and the other three, She then draw out her sword and began cutting each of them down with green blood soaking her arms and sword, electricity zipping through the jade drippings.
"Greetings, warriors!" Diana said as she gave them a salute with her sword before she put it away.
"Dibs" Green Lantern whispered to the Flash just before he floats away towards Diana who was gathering up her lasso however just as Green Lantern got closer to Diana that was when Superman levitate to the ground, landing in between her and the Green Lantern where he gave the Green Lantern a protective stare, as if telling him to stay away from her.
"Men" Hawkwoman said as she rolled her eyes.
"Oh, it's good to be back in the heat of war," said Diana.
The remaining creatures all flew away "YEAH, YOU BETTER RUN!" Green Lantern shouted at them confidently.
"No, they're assembling, waiting for whoever is behind this to launch their main attack" Batman said as he stepped forwards.
"Okay then, now what?" Superman asks curiously.
"... I don't know," Batman said uncertainly.
But just then Green Lantern saw something was rocking towards them.
"Incoming!" Green Lantern yelled as he pointed his ring at whatever was coming at them while Superman was ready to change at it, Wonder Woman ready her sword, Hawkman and Hawkwoman ready their maces.
It first crashed into a building before crashing to the ground and out from the dust was a man who seemed to be mostly a machine.
"This one is mine!" Wonder Woman said as she changed at the man/machine hybrid who when saw this his left arm reformed into a cannon, and fired a beam of energy, sending Diana back into a car behind them.
"You're done!" Superman said ferocity as his eyes were glowing red from his Atomic Vision ready to blast apart this new enemy.
"No wait, I'm not with them!" The man/machine hybrid pleaded.
"Hey hold on Supers" The Flash said using his Super-Speed where he looks like a red blur with yellow lightning to get between Superman and the man/machine hybrid "I can vouch for him, His name is Victor Stone, he was at S.T.A.R. Labs when it got attacked by these creatures and was the one who stopped them".
Suddenly there was thunder erupted from above and then a man appeared dressed in red, gold and white, descended from the sky and once he landed he pulled down his hood.
"Hey there! What's up?" He puts a hand over his chest which had a large lightning bolt "I'm Captain Marvel, I'm with him," he said, indicating to Victor.
"Yeah he's ain't with me" said Victor.
"And who the hell are you supposed to be? Mr. Roboto?" Green Lantern asks impatiently.
"Considering what I am now you can just call me Cyborg but right now you need to hear what I know" said Cyborg.
"How do you figure that?" Green Lantern asked.
"Well, for one thing, the water's on fire" Batman said pointing past him at the Harbor where the remaining creatures had formed a giant circle of fire around the sea.
"Well shit" Green Lantern muttered under his breath.
"Do you know what these creatures are?" Hawkman asks Cyborg pointing at one of the creatures' dead bodies who he had killed with his mace.
"They're called Parademon's, they're shock troopers that are created in laboratories from a world known as Apokolips," Cyborg explained.
Suddenly large Black and red pillars emerge all over the city, the Parademon's flying around and almost arbitrarily picking people up at complete random, carrying them off to the pillars where they disappear.
"What are they doing with them?" Superman asked.
"Can't be sure but I know this, they're not killing anyone they're harvesting them" said Batman.
"This isn't an isolated incident either, It's happening across the world" The Flash added.
"You said that these 'Parademon's' were made in laboratories, what if they were the people from the other worlds that have already terraformed and were made into more Parademons?" said Hawkwoman.
"Then we have to do something before they turn anyone in, " said Hawkman.
"We're already too late. He's here" Cyborg said as he look towards the giant circle of fire around the sea where another Black and red pillar emerged and from the top rise an large muscular man who look like a Human being but he had red eyes, he had black hair and a goatee, he was wearing black and red armor and was holding a large battle ax revealed himself, flying over the water towards the mainland.
(This version of Steppenwolf looks like the comic book version where he looks like a large human in black and red armor)
"I'm guessing that's their leader," said Green Lantern.
"Lucky guess" Batman answers.
"So umm who is that exactly?" The Flash asks, a bit worried.
"That's Steppenwolf, he's the General of Apokolips army and he is known throughout the Universe as 'The End of World's' because of the amount of world's he has conquered for his master" Cyborg explained.
"Who's name is most likely Darkseid considering all of their soldiers keep on shouting it" said Batman.
"So that's the guy we got to beat" Superman said as he slammed his right fist into his left palm ready to end this invasion.
Just then three fighter jets were overhead, launching missiles at Steppenwolf who was floating ominously toward them. Steppenwolf saw them so he placed both hands on his battle ax where the blade part of it began to glow a reddish-orange color, and once he swung it at the three jets it unleashed a reddish-orange slash of energy which destroyed them completely.
"No!" The Flash said in horror seeing the three fighter jets destroyed with their pilots killed.
"My name is Steppenwolf, hear me humanity as you should rejoice for you have been chosen by the great and all powerful Lord Darkseid to become a part of his great kingdom" Stepppnwolf announced.
"Go back to where you come from! This planet is protected!" Superman said firmly.
"How amusing, why do you, a Kryptonian who's race was once one of the most advanced civilizations in the Universe, care about a weaker race like this?" Steppenwolf asked curiously.
"I care because this is my home! And you shouldn't underestimate it" Superman said firmly.
"It doesn't matter as I will hand you over to Lord Darkseid once I conquer this planet and he'll perhaps use your Kryptonian DNA to enhance our army to make them stronger or perhaps he'll break you and reform you into a loyal soldier of Apokolips" said Steppenwolf.
"That isn't going to happen because you ain't conquering Earth" Superman said firmly.
"Good speech Supers but stand back and watch the light show, Green Lantern's got this" Green Lantern said confidently before he flew straight at Steppenwolf.
Green Lantern uses his ring to create a later green fist around his actual fist and he punches Steppenwolf across his face however while it did move his face it didn't move his body.
"Pathetic" Steppenwolf said with a grin before he punch Green Lantern in his chest sending him crashing into a nearby car where he was now attack by more Parademon's until the Flash race over and save him and once he brought back to the others Green Lantern then pointed his ring at the Parademons and blast them apart.
The remaining Parademons flew at the heroes so Superman fire his Atomic Vision, Captain Marvel unleashed lightning, Wonder Woman cut them in half with her sword, Batman use his martial arts skill to dodge them while throwing explosive batarang at them, Hawkman and Hawkwoman used their maces and Cyborg turn his arm into a cannon and fired a blue energy blast at them.
Green Lantern glace angrily at Steppenwolf "Is that you got? That ain't all I got" Green Lantern said as he flew at Steppenwolf again but this time he formed a green train around himself. However Steppenwolf used his battle ax to shatter the green train causing Green Lantern to hit the ground.
"Hmph how disappointing I'd expected far better from a member of the Green Lantern Corp" Steppenwolf said as he ready his battle ax to cut Green Lantern in half.
However just then Hawkwoman and Hawkman came in and swung their maces hitting Steppenwolf in the face which managed to make him bleed from his nose but before he could retaliate he was then hit in the face again by Superman which managed to hurt the New God even more. Superman began to repeatedly attack him until he unleashed his Atomic Vision at Steppenwolf hitting him in the chest which sent him flying back to the sea and as Steppenwolf flouted out of the water he wipe his lip he saw blood which enraged him.
"YOU DAMN MORTAL SCUM! HOW DARE YOU DO THIS TO ME A NEW GOD!" Steppenwolf shouted angrily before he changed back at the superheroes at great speed and he changed up his battle ax before swinging it at Superman who managed to block it but he was sent flying backwards.
"Hey I'm not through with you" Green Lantern said before he flew again at Steppenwolf and created a green sledgehammer to hit Steppenwolf with but the evil god use his battle ax to break it and grab Green Lantern by his right arm which had his ring and break it causing the lantern to scream in pain before Steppenwolf threw him away.
Both Wonder Woman and Hawkwoman then flew at Steppenwolf and they began to swing their weapons at him but Steppenwolf block their attacks with his battle ax until he punch both of them sending them flying but Wonder Woman was caught by Superman while Hawkwoman was caught by Hawkman and then Captain Marvel flew at Steppenwolf.
"Hey black heart death eater or whatever your World of WarCraft name is suck on this" Captain Marvel said as he changed his magic lightning and threw it at Steppenwolf who used his battle ax to absorb the power surprising Captain Marvel and Steppenwolf then sent it back Captain Marvel which sent him crashing into a building.
"Now what do we do?" Cyborg asks Batman, seeing that their heavy hits be taken down.
"Now you die!" Steppenwolf said as he lifted his battle ax up that it was glowing in the air before swinging it at the ground which caused a massive explosion.
