Luffy couldn't help but express his utter boredom while being stuck in that barrel. It was as dull as watching paint dry, with absolutely nothing to do. He patiently waited, hoping for something interesting to happen. Finally, his ears perked up as he overheard a conversation about discovering another wine barrel. It was evident from their conversation that these were pirates. Without a second thought, they hauled the barrel into the food storage room, completely oblivious to its contents. Luffy couldn't help but shake his head at their foolishness.

As the voices reached his ears, he caught them in the midst of a heated debate. They contemplated sneaking a small taste of the wine, secretly desiring its intoxicating effects. However, one of the pirates dismissed the idea, claiming that wine was inadequate for achieving a satisfying buzz. Besides, their captain was probably planning to keep the wine all to herself. She always strived to project an image of sophistication and refinement, even though her true nature contradicted it. Nevertheless, the crew members were wise enough not to confront her about it directly.

Luffy's ears perked up as he caught the sound of their departure. Finally, he couldn't bear it any longer. With a burst of his devil fruit powers, he unleashed a powerful punch, shattering the lid of the barrel. Startled, a young man with glasses stood before him. "Oops, my bad! Didn't mean to startle you. I was just so fed up with being cooped up in that barrel. The name's Luffy, and mark my words, I'm destined to become the King of the Pirates. And you?"

The young man stared at Luffy as if he had lost his mind. "I'm Koby, and one day, I'll rise to become one of the most valiant and formidable Marines. Unfortunately, for now, I'm stuck serving as a cabin boy to the ruthless and heartless Alvida Pirates."

With a hearty laugh, Luffy remarked that Koby had a long way to go and needed to focus on honing both his mental and physical abilities if he ever wanted to become a Marine. Koby shot a piercing glare at Luffy and demanded to know how he could possibly know all this, considering that Luffy himself was, as far as Koby could tell, a Pirate. Luffy's response was filled with amusement, "Funny thing is, I happen to be the son of a legendary revolutionary and the grandson of one of the most esteemed Marine officers in history. You might have heard of my grandpa, Monkey D. Garp."

Looking directly at Koby, a smile still on his face, he conveyed a profound truth: the world is not always as it seems. Not all Pirates are wicked, just as not all Marines are virtuous. To truly establish his reputation, Koby must develop the ability to discern the hidden truths and uncover what truly lies beneath the surface. "Regarding the Alvida Pirates, they are nothing compared to the other pirates in the grand line. If I wanted to, I could defeat each and every one of them single-handedly. After all, I have mastered the Fist style through rigorous training with my grandpa. Koby, you could greatly benefit from training with him as well, but there is something else I need to discuss with you right now."

Koby's curiosity got the better of him, prompting him to inquire about what exactly Luffy wanted to know. As Luffy's belly emitted a loud growl, it became evident to Koby that his hunger was the reason behind it. Luffy chuckled while massaging his stomach, explaining that he had been trapped in a barrel for quite some time, resulting in limited access to food. He then requested Koby's assistance in finding a place where he could satisfy his hunger. Koby pondered for a moment before suggesting, "Well, technically speaking, we are currently in the storage room. So, we do have dried meats, fruits, nuts, and berries available. However, if you're looking for a proper meal, we'll have to head to the ship's galley. Although, I must warn you, there are plenty of pirates lurking around that area. Personally, I've managed to survive on leftovers and whatever I could scrounge up from the storage room."

With a hearty laugh, Luffy exclaimed that the items in the storage would make a good snack, but he was in need of a proper meal. Determined, he turned to Koby and asked him to guide him to the galley, where he could satisfy his hunger. Koby was taken aback, cautioning Luffy that those pirates were far stronger than a pair of youngsters like them could handle. Luffy reassured him, urging Koby to be braver and revealing his secret weapon - the devil fruit he had consumed. He confidently declared that none of those losers would pose much of a challenge for him. "So relax, let's grab something to eat, and I'll show you why nobody dares to mess with the King of the Pirates."

As they made their way towards the galley, they noticed a group of pirates inside, their eyes fixed on Luffy. Curiosity filled the air as they questioned who this unfamiliar face was. One of them even suggested that he might just be another unfortunate soul destined to serve them.

"I won't be anyone's servant, and I certainly won't let anyone boss me around," Luffy declared boldly. "I came here to satisfy my hunger, but if you think otherwise, then let's settle it with our fists. Are you too afraid to face me?"

Koby was taken aback by this unexpected turn of events, causing him to stutter and almost feel the need to apologize on behalf of Luffy. However, as he tried to speak, one of the pirates burst into laughter, as if he had just heard the funniest joke in the world. "You know what, kid? You're absolutely right! If you want to feast on our food, go ahead. Consider it your last meal. But once you're done, we'll have some post-meal exercise by pounding you into a pulp for daring to say such things."

Luffy plopped himself onto the chair, facing a table adorned with an abundance of food that could easily feed a small village for a week. With an insatiable appetite, he wasted no time in devouring every morsel in sight. Surprisingly, he savored each bite, relishing in the flavors that danced on his tongue. As he indulged in the feast, he couldn't help but shower the cook with genuine compliments, leaving the other pirates feeling a pang of remorse. Little did they know, they were about to face the grim reality of having to harm such a delightful and innocent youngster once their meal was over.

After the meal concluded, the pirates in attendance made a unanimous decision to charge towards Luffy, attempting to overwhelm him with their sheer numbers. However, to everyone's astonishment, Luffy displayed an extraordinary ability - lightning-fast punches. With each pirate that approached him, Luffy swiftly knocked them out, leaving them sprawled on the ground. What made matters worse was that Luffy didn't appear tired or affected in the slightest. Koby couldn't help but wear a perplexed expression. Sensing his confusion, Luffy confidently remarked, "What's with that look, Koby? I've mastered the art of fist fighting, thanks to my grandpa's teachings. If I wanted to, I could punch a hole right through the ship's hull and sink it with a single blow, but that would be incredibly foolish, wouldn't it?"

Upon hearing Luffy's words, Koby's memory was instantly jogged about the Vice Admiral's reputation, making him realize that Luffy was dead serious. As they strolled nonchalantly towards the ship's deck, they were taken aback to witness Alvida's audacious attack on a cruise ship. Determined to prevent any harm, Luffy fearlessly leaped towards a group of pirates leisurely seated at the heart of the main deck, swiftly rendering them all unconscious with his powerful punches. The sight of a single individual effortlessly defeating sixteen of Alvida's potential raiders for the cruise ship was more than enough to captivate her attention.

Alvida confronted the person who had effortlessly defeated her top raiders, expressing her confusion and frustration. To her surprise, the person responded with a laugh and approached her with a cheerful expression. "I may not know who you are, but I'm Monkey D. Luffy, and I'm destined to become the Pirate King. I've come here to negotiate, but it seems like your crew isn't keen on following that tradition. Captain Alvida, care to engage in a parley with me?"

Alvida was utterly astounded by the audacity and boldness of this individual. He had openly declared himself as a pirate, yet he had single-handedly dismantled her entire raiding party, completely derailing her carefully crafted scheme to plunder all the valuable treasures from the luxurious cruise ship, along with the pompous wealthy vacationers aboard it. "What on earth is there to discuss? It's crystal clear that you have no intention of allowing me to proceed with my endeavors. You've done everything in your power to thwart our looting of that ship teeming with affluent snobs. As a fellow pirate, have you not the slightest inkling of what professional courtesy entails? One does not go about sabotaging the plans of fellow pirate crews in such a manner."

Luffy approached Alvida, a woman of immense size, and felt a pang of sadness as he witnessed her current state, knowing what she would eventually become. Determined to assist her in achieving that transformation, he realized that she must possess the ability to captivate her crew with her voice, just like the enchanting goddess Aphrodite. It was both ironic and disheartening to think that a goddess renowned for her beauty would have such a legacy, but now Luffy understood the reason behind her constant boasting, as Koby had revealed during their stroll toward the deck.

Koby's fear went far beyond mere fright; it was pure terror. He couldn't bear the thought of what Captain Alvida might inflict upon Luffy, whom he had come to regard as a dear friend, despite their brief encounter. With a sense of desperation, Koby rushed towards her, dropping to his knees as he pleaded with Captain Alvida. "I beg you, Captain, please forgive my naive friend. He doesn't comprehend the gravity of his actions or the foolishness of challenging you. Spare his life, I implore you. Just imagine the immense advantage it would be to have him as a member of your crew, considering he could easily match the entire raider party."

Alvida couldn't deny that he single-handedly defeated the entire raiding party, proving his exceptional skills. Moreover, his audacity indicated that he possessed the same level of ambition as she did. Strangely though, her feminine allure, which had always captivated men with just the sound of her voice, had no effect on him. This made him an incredibly unique individual. Not only that, he displayed remarkable bravery by standing up to her, while most men would tremble at the thought of opposing her.

With her massive mace firmly in hand, she glared at Koby, exuding an aura of pure intimidation. Luffy, however, approached her with an air of nonchalance, seemingly unfazed by her presence. "Let me reiterate, I've come here to propose a deal. We'll engage in a battle, and the victor shall earn the unwavering loyalty of the defeated party. If you emerge triumphant, I'll join your crew without hesitation. But if I emerge victorious, you and your entire crew will become part of my Armada, no questions asked. So, what do you say? Are you up for the challenge?"

Alvida was displeased with his attitude, so she inquired about what would persuade her to accept the proposition. Without uttering a single word, Luffy conjured a colossal heap of money on the ship's deck, pointing at the mound and casually stating that it amounted to fifteen billion berries. If the offer of him joining her crew wasn't enticing enough, then this substantial sum of money would certainly make the deal more appealing. "So, what's your decision? Will you seize the opportunity or not?"

She couldn't help but drool at the thought of getting her hands on such a huge sum of money, and having him join her team would be incredibly advantageous on its own. "Alright then, let's settle this with a fight. But remember, once you're part of my crew, I'll push you to your limits. You'll have to worship me just like the rest of my crew does. So, Koby, tell me, who's the most stunning lady sailing these seas?"

Koby wasted no time in proclaiming that the captivating woman standing before them was none other than Captain Alvida. However, his statement was met with a burst of laughter from Luffy. "Koby, you must be kidding! If you're familiar with the Marines, then you surely recognize that the true epitome of beauty on the seas is none other than Nico Ophelia. This individual here is far from embodying the essence of a lady; a genuine lady is someone who exudes grace, kindness, poise, and respectfulness. Some qualities of being a lady may include possessing good manners, elegance, empathy, self-assurance, and the ability to handle situations with dignity. On the contrary, her behavior resembles that of a barbarian, and her appearance resembles that of a cavewoman who has indulged excessively."

Alvida's blood boiled with fury as Luffy dared to insult her by mocking her weight and appearance. Unbeknownst to her, Luffy had been casually stretching his arms behind his back while he spoke, adding to her rage. Determined to put him in his place, she charged towards him with a fiery determination. "If you truly aspire to be a refined lady, you must cultivate both your inner and outer beauty. At this moment, you resemble a primitive cave-dweller, and that's the most endearing comparison I can make. Allow me to enlighten you about your misguided ways," he jeered. With those cutting words, Luffy unleashed his elongated arms, which had extended all the way to the opposite end of the pirate ship, hurtling toward Alvida like colossal fists. The sheer velocity of their approach left her with no chance to evade. However, Alvida swiftly encased herself in an impenetrable shield of Armament Haki, preparing for the impending impact. In a thunderous voice, Luffy announced the name of his attack, "Gum Gum Bazooka!"

The impact was thunderous, sending shockwaves through the air. Alvida was sent flying, and her plans of revenge shattered in an instant. Luffy stood tall, victorious, as the crew watched in awe. It was a powerful reminder that true strength lies not in appearances, but in the heart and spirit of a person. And in that moment, Alvida learned a valuable lesson about the true meaning of beauty and respect.

The two companions made the decision to continue their voyage on their boat towards the closest town. Surprisingly, the Alvida Pirate crew graciously offered them a small ship that the pirates typically used for scouting. Although it was just a modest sloop with limited defensive capabilities, the crew members warned anyone foolish enough to challenge Luffy that they would regret it. They still vividly remembered the excruciating pain caused by his powerful punches. Luffy playfully remarked that he merely guided them toward becoming honorable pirates, using nothing but his fist of love. While it might have been a painful experience, it was ultimately for their own benefit.

Koby burst into laughter, finding it absolutely hilarious. It was a phrase Vice Admiral Garp frequently used, and now they were embarking on a journey together. They were informed that the closest port would be located near a town called Shell Town. However, a warning accompanied this information - the marines in that area were not just oppressive, but led by an officer who made Alvida appear pleasant in comparison. Whether they chose to believe it or not, the decision was entirely up to them.

Koby's face turned sour upon hearing the derogatory remarks about the Marines. "Come on, Luffy, doesn't it infuriate you that they're treating your grandpa, a legendary Marine, as nothing more than mercenaries?" Luffy, steering the sloop, glanced at Koby with a hint of sympathy. He understood Koby's frustration all too well. The world had placed the Marines and the World Government on a pedestal while vilifying anyone who dared to challenge them. This perception wasn't a coincidence; it had been carefully cultivated since the establishment of the World Government, spreading its influence strategically across all the islands.

He glanced over at Koby and made a firm decision to be completely straightforward, "Listen, Kobi, not all Marines are saints, and not all pirates are devils. This world isn't as simple as black and white; it's filled with countless shades of gray. Some Marines can be more ruthless than pirates, while some pirates can surprise you with their compassion and decency. You can't blindly believe everything you hear or read. It's crucial to question everything because ultimately, your own choices will shape the way you live. I grew up in a small coastal town and encountered numerous pirates, even an old bandit. Surprisingly, many of them were kind-hearted and caring individuals who would risk their lives to help those in need. However, at the end of the day, they were still pirates."

Since Koby seemed to have some jumbled thoughts, Luffy made up his mind that instead of wasting time on their journey to Shell town, he would use it to enlighten Koby. "Let's begin by delving into the organization of the world government. At the very bottom, we have the Marines, who are responsible for enforcing the laws established by the government. Above them, we find the Seven Warlords, seven fearsome pirate captains. These captains and their crews possess bounties that could rival the wealth of a nation. However, as long as they serve the government and carry out their assigned tasks, their bounties remain frozen. Surprisingly, any crimes they commit are overlooked and permitted by the very same government. It's quite ironic to label pirates as the epitome of evil when seven of the most dangerous pirates are actually serving the world government."

Koby's face fell upon hearing Luffy's words, but he decided to hold his tongue and let Luffy finish before expressing his own opinion. Luffy began explaining, "Above them are the Celestial Dragons, these are the noble families that initially came together and formed the World Government. Their position grants them the power to do things that most people wouldn't even dare to consider. In theory, they are responsible for devising ways to aid each region of the world, governing those regions, creating laws that benefit the people, and ensuring the greater good. However, in reality, they view anyone who isn't a Celestial Dragon as insignificant as bugs. I once heard a story where a Celestial Dragon visited a town and accidentally stepped on dog feces, staining his pristine shoes. Can you guess what he did? He called for a devastating Buster Call on the entire island."

Koby's eyes widened as Luffy mentioned the dreaded Buster Call. The mere mention of it sent shivers down his spine, for it was a force that could strike fear into the hearts of anyone. If an island was targeted, the full might of the Marines would be unleashed, raining down cannon fire and artillery until nothing remained but destruction and despair.

"There are indeed celestial dragons who fulfill their noble duties with care and compassion," Koby explained, his voice filled with a mix of frustration and disappointment. "They genuinely care for the people under their rule and the lands they govern. However, there are many others who abuse their power in ways that make even the most notorious pirates seem tame in comparison."

He paused, his eyes burning with determination. "But should anyone have the authority to unleash a Buster Call upon an entire island simply because they were angered or refused to pay for a meal ordered by a celestial dragon? These individuals are well aware of their immense power and yet they choose to exploit it without remorse. They even go as far as wearing helmets with filtered air, believing themselves to be above breathing the same air as you and I."

Koby's words carried a weight of frustration and a desire for justice. He knew that the abuse of power had to be confronted, for the sake of those who suffered under the tyranny of the celestial dragons.

Luffy made up his mind to press on, his eyes fixed on Koby as he flashed a warm smile. "Up there, above us, are the five individuals who hold the reins of the entire world government and its various divisions. They even control the spies of Cipher Pol. These five individuals are known as the five elder stars, the highest-ranking members of the celestial government. Each one of them holds the power to shape our very existence. And at the pinnacle, there is a king, a mysterious figure whose name remains unknown. Those who have encountered him never live to tell the tale."

"I had the privilege of meeting the five elder stars, thanks to my grandfather's assistance. Together, we devised a plan to rectify the numerous flaws within the world government. However, if we were to destroy the government without having a suitable replacement, chaos would ensue. The loss of life would be catastrophic. Therefore, we devised a solution to counter the tyranny of the Celestial Dragons. That solution is an independent military force, capable of aiding the people and putting an end to the abuse of power granted by the world government. That force is my armada, the Straw Hat Armada. Once everything is in place and I have gathered all the necessary individuals, the Armada will be ready for action. And then, I shall be acknowledged as the King of the Pirates. Because my goal is to preserve this world, to keep it in one piece."

Koby was not expecting this at all, he was shocked to hear that Luffy a guy who was almost the same age as he was, had such grandiose plans, and goals. "So what would prevent you from using that armada who can stand against the Marines from conquering everything, and you becoming an ever worse tyrant than those you wish to stop?" Luffy began to laugh as he heard Koby and looked at him with a big smile on his face. "Koby, do you not understand what the King of the Pirates is? I don't want to conquer anything at all, as Pirate King, I have the most freedom on these seas, that is one of the things I want to protect, the right for people to enjoy the freedom to live and live as they choose to, they will have to live with the consequences be they glorious or not it will be their choices that make this happen."

Koby inquired about his motives and questioned why he would willingly engage in activities that posed such a significant risk to his life. "Koby, this world is filled with numerous deities, belonging to various pantheons. Some of them do good, while others bring harm, just like people. I choose to undertake these endeavors because those who oppress and exploit others have the audacity to call themselves the Celestial Dragons. In contrast, I embody something celestial, the very essence and principles of the Sun God Nika. Personally, I consider them parasites. However, I am determined to reclaim my full power and ascend once again as a god. As the God of Liberation, I will champion freedom and bring joy to those who have been enslaved or taken advantage of."

Luffy glanced over at Koby, a warm smile spreading across his face as if it were a permanent fixture. "You know, Koby, the decision is entirely up to you. You can choose to join the Marines and serve the World Government, even though they may ask you to do things that go against your conscience. Or, you can join me and become a part of my Armada. Ultimately, it's your call, and yours alone. That's why I'm heading to Shell Town, you see. I believe a dear friend of mine is waiting for me there, and it wouldn't be fair to keep him waiting." Curiosity piqued, Koby inquired about this mysterious friend. Luffy's smile widened as he thought of his loyal first mate and right-hand man. He revealed to Koby that his friend was none other than Roronoa Zoro.

Koby couldn't believe his ears when he heard those words, "Are you insane? Roronoa Zoro is renowned as one of the most fearsome pirate hunters in history. He's merciless when it comes to capturing the most notorious pirates, and he's always after the bounties that offer a fortune. You're a pirate yourself, so why on earth would Zoro choose to team up with you instead of eliminating you for any potential bounty you might have?"

Isn't it risky, though, that Roronoa Zoro might target you for your bounty? Nah, it's all good, Kobe. Wait a second, I just had a thought. Aren't the gods supposed to be in control of the government? How does what you said make sense, Kobe asked. Well, Colby, the truth is, that's just one of the timelines that my devil fruit allowed me to see. I was simply sharing with you a similar timeline that exists in this world. However, the thing is, the gods only have a twenty percent influence in this world, but over the span of eight hundred years, that twenty percent can make a significant impact. That's why the void century is referred to as the divine age in our world. Unfortunately, after they had their power strip the celestial dragons decided to seize power and decided to rebel against the gods, leading to the creation of an army. Would you like to hear about similar events that are still occurring in this world, based on the timeline I mentioned?

Isn't it a bit risky, though, that Roronoa Zoro might have you in his sights because of your bounty? Oh, don't worry about that, Koby. Hold on a moment, I just had a thought. Aren't the gods supposed to be the ones controlling the government? How does what you said even make sense, Koby asked. "Well, Koby, the truth is, my devil fruit allows me to see different timelines. I was just sharing with you a similar timeline that exists in this world. However, the gods only have a twenty percent influence here, but over the course of eight hundred years, that twenty percent can have a significant impact. That's why the void century is known as the divine age in our world. Unfortunately, after the celestial dragons had their power stripped, they decided to seize control and rebel against the gods, forming an army. Would you like to hear about other ongoing events in this world based on the timeline I mentioned?"
