"Homeschool, huh?" Travis asks as he turns the corner into the gym. Aphmau messes with her hands, quickly following behind the two slightly taller freshmen. You glance at her as she struggles to answer the question. She just satisfies it with a "Yeah!"

"That sounds awesome!" He turns around to face you two, which causes him to walk backward. You agree.

"It seems fun for a while in theory, but after so long it seems tiring.." You sigh, reminiscing on the effects of quarantine back in your world. You guess since it didn't happen back then in mystreet, it shouldn't happen here either. That gives you a small sigh of relief.

Aphmau's amber eyes widen at your obtuse response. She nods her head quickly, which causes her raven hair to follow loosely after her head. Taking a closer look at Aphmau, her hair does seem different than in the show. It's tied back into a ponytail with a small bow instead of the huge ass one originally. Which is, personally, a nicer upgrade you think. Her amber eyes also have a tint of green around the pupil, what is that for? She didn't have that in the original web series. You go to observe her skin, a warm hue reminiscent of toasted almond, with bandaids scattered around most of the visible skin on her uniform. It hasn't even been the first day and the poor girl seems tired.

"It kinda depends on how you go about it…" She turns her attention back towards Travis who looks confused. "I just honestly wanted to be alone and play my online games. I kind of regret doing that because I don't really have any friends in real life." She shrugs.

"Real life?"

"Well I mean, I have a couple of online friends and such, one of my best friends is online!" Her face immediately lights up when speaking about video games, Travis and you give a sideways glance and smile at her.

"I'm glad you weren't alone then."

"Plus now you have us, yeah?"

Aphmau pauses briefly before nodding, "Yeah! You're both right! I'm not alone anymore huh? At least not anymore irl. What about you Travis? We both know about (Y/N)."

"I have one friend that attends this school. He's a sophomore and he's really cool! He dated two girls at one time!"

Both you and Aphmau look concerned at this comment. You honestly forgot about how Dante was presented in the show, you really just remember his Minecraft Diaries version, which was nothing like this sort. Maybe you can snap him out of it? Irene did say to change things, maybe Dante can be one of them…

"Wow, uh, two girls? You think that's cool? He sounds like a total player." You nod along with Aphmau.

"Not just a player, a total Jerk. Unless they all consented to the relationship, that's just an asshole move." You grimace. "It sounds like he was just taking advantage of him…"

Travis thinks about it for a moment and looks to the side. "I never thought about it that way…"

You feel the wind blow nearby, which is very weird in a closed, indoor gym. Before you ask about it, you hear it. The wind begins to murmur a soft, delicate whisper through the air, brushing against your skin with a gentle touch. "Due to your acknowledgment, you rewrote the script of destiny."

What? What the hell was that?

"(Y/)-"

"(Y/N)!" You hear a voice away in the crowd, footsteps quickly following the voice. It's (B/F). You feel yourself instinctively smile.

"You should be careful, Volleyballs are going rogue and I'm not athletic enough to catch them all!"

She says and stops to catch her breath.

"What do you mean Volleyballs are going rogue?"

She points behind her. "The volleyball club is practicing their skills to impress the freshman and possible new recruits for the team. Which is good for them but bad for anyone near the stray balls." She pushes herself off of her knees to stand up properly. "Now it's my job to make sure that nobody gets hurt around here."

Aphmau peaks out from behind you.

"Are you another teacher's aid?"

"Another? Oh, you must mean Teony. Yeah, she convinced me to help her for the rest of the year." (B/F) sighs tiredly.

"You must have had one hell of a first day." You smirk down at your friend, who just waves your comment off dismissively.

"Anyhow, nice to see you making friends (Y/N)~!" She puts both of her hands out towards the two. Noticing it now, (B/F) and Aphmau are around the same height, funny cause of how big of a deal Aphmau made about it in the web-series.

"My name is (B/F), Good to meet you two~!" She smiles brightly. If you didn't know her any better, you would say that (B/F) would fit this series perfectly, again if you didn't know better.

Travis and Aphmau introduce both of themselves, quickly getting embarrassed about the spotlight being on them. While they were all distracted, you see from the corner of your eye, a blurred figure zoom towards the group. A volleyball. Before you can do anything, call out or warn anyone, the ball goes to hit Travis.

But was stopped last minute by a hand, a few centimeters in front of him.

"Are you okay?" A voice asks.

Travis blinks his eyes open and is met with cyan ones, and a green ring circling the iris. He doesn't know those eyes.

Finally coming back to his senses. He backs away, feeling the death grip on him release. He exhales.

"Are you okay Travis?" You ask.

He nods, looking down sheepishly. "U-Uh yeah! I'm okay! I swear!"

You turn your attention from Travis to who saved him from his fate.

You spot someone with cool blonde hair that falls around his face, a slim short to be in his eyes. Said eyes, with a slight droop, were cyan with a brighter, almost glowing green ring around his iris. Similar to what you saw with Aphmau. Most importantly, his smile, while relaxed still seemed forced. Due to worry? Or something else of the sort. Yeah, this is Garroth Ro'meave alright.

Garroth catches your eyes looking at him, he goes to say something but is caught off guard by a slap on the back and a pat on the shoulder.

"Way to go Mr. Prince Charming!" Laurence grins beside him, albeit struggling to stand next to him due to the height difference.

Garroth shakes his head and waves his hand lightly. "Prince charming? I wouldn't say-"
"Stop trying to humble yourself!" (B/F) grins now standing on the opposite of him. "That totally looked like something out of a shojo anime!"
"Shojo..?"

You chuckle to yourself before stepping over to the two gawking freshmen, still not over their hero in blonde armor. You can see the blush covering Travis's face slowly starting to subside and start to turn more into admiration. You debate to ask him about his romantic orientation right now, but…. either way, it's quite clear now. Aphmau, on the other hand, is full-on blushing, muttering to herself about something. Thinking about it, Aphmau was also saved by Garroth earlier, so this would be the second time in her book.

The teasing session between Garroth, Laurence, and (B/F) was broken up by loud footsteps running over. You see a blue-haired girl step onto the scene, her eyebrows furrowed together, her face a mix of worry and anger.

"Shit! Are you guys okay?" She looks between the ground, putting her hands up in caution.

"Yeah, we're good Katelyn! Mr. Prince Charming was able to stop the ball before it hit the poor freshie over here." Laurence points at Travis, who is quivering under Katelyn's gaze.

"Can you please ask your team to be more careful? We don't want any more incidents." (B/F) asks, putting her hands on her hips.

Katelyn nods briskly and yells back at her team. "Yo! Chillax with the balls can ya? We don't want to hurt any more people."

She turns back to (B/F). "That good?"

"Perfect."

She smiles lightly and points at Garroth. "You. Keep an eye out for any more stray balls, kay?"

"But I…Alright." He sighs, "I can do that."

"I'd hope so pretty boy."

With that last note, the entire group disbanded, going to help around with all the clubs. You look back towards the other freshmen, who are looking at you.

"Do you want to go look at some clubs?" You offer, pointing in a direction. Aphmau's mood automatically changes.

"Do you think they have an anime club?"

"Most likely, let's look." Travis nudges her shoulder, and motions towards the booths. Speaking about Clubs, you might want to join one yourself. That was if you didn't have more pressing issues at hand. What was that whispering earlier? Who is Flynn exactly? What does Irene want you to change? Why isn't everything the same as the web series?

The questions bounce around your mind, as you half-heartingly walk around the booths in tow of Aphmau and Travis who seem to have more fun not being alone. Your lips curl up into a small smile, taking another step.

You'll figure it out later, won't you?
