Kallen struggled not to blush and entirely failed to keep the amused grin off her face due to her and her Prince's predicament. They were racing at full speed back towards the Purists who even now were pressing into E.U. territory in hot pursuit of the Geth, and unofficially of course racing to try and capture the Beacon for the Holy Britannian Empire. As the duo inside her Knightmare sped on, Kallen kept Lelouch in the safest possible spot she had, which at this moment was sitting across her lap in an approximation of the classic Princess carry which left Lelouch trying to adjust his position and wrapping his arms around his Knight while trying and failing to look as manly as he could eyes focusing on every possible screen and display in the Knightmare, and decidedly away from his Knight.

Still it made her happy to have him like this, if only for the moment. Between power thirsty noble women, Nunally's possiblely incestuous obsession with Lelouch, and Lelouch's own twisted personality that was always so goal oriented and self-judgemental, Kallen seldom had a moment with him even like this. Of course the influences of Euphemia and Milly certainly couldn't be denied and Kallen smirked at Lelouch ready to tease at the Prince's expense. "You know your highness, you seem to make for a far better and prettier Damsel in distress than a gallant Prince riding in to save the day"

Kallen struggled to avoid chuckling to herself as she navigated the hills of Eden Prime still looking to make visual contact with the Purists while communications were spotty at best due to the interference. "Well to make up for my feminine beauty I decided to acquire the manliest Knight I could, but then she turned out to be one that grew a rather large pair of breasts rather than the expected beard. It's almost like nature made a mistake."

"Wha...L-Lelouch!" Kallen shouted as the Prince's jab back hit Kallen making her blush and think of her own relationship with her rather feminine figure. "Well if you think that maybe I should just shove you in a dress and claim you as my trophy!"

"You know that's not going to work, Milly's already done it." Lelouch deadlanned back.

The Gloucester nearly fell out of Kallen's control. "W-what? When did that wen... when did she get you in a Dress?"

"Don't you remember the crossdresser's ball? Oh I think Euphemia saved you from that, seems you got lucky." Kallen could swear Lelouch first sounded bitter but then switched to teasing at the end. But now Kallen felt she might need to keep a better eye on Milly, after all the woman had forced Lelouch into a dress and she never knew about it.

Still Kallen felt as though Lelouch was mulling over something and didn't like his silent brooding. "Hey, Lelouch, is everything alright? Those terrorists didn't... do anything did they?"

The Prince seemed to startle at that, with most people that usually wasn't a good sign right after a ordeal like what Lelouch had been through, but Lelouch's grin, one full of dark glee was far more worrying to Kallen. "Yes everything is fine, I'm planning on what to do with the rest of the Purists after we win this battle."

"Do you think affiliating with those trash is going to be good for us? I mean, I think that Villetta woman might be agreeable but they're going to ruin our image, and they're already not on friendly terms with the military or any of the other Knight Orders." Kallen reasoned, or tried to with her Prince. Lelouch's position within the Empire was weak, perhaps one of the weakest of his siblings. Cornelia virtually owned the military and had several Knightly Orders sworn to her, Schnizel was the Prime Minister and had multiple research groups, and clandestine paramilitary organizations under his command by one means or another. And every other one of Lelouch's siblings either had a regional military under their thumb or a Knight Order sworn to them and some major position in the government openly or secretly under their command. Lelouch had his Royal Guards, Kallen, and Jeremiah, and through Nunally technically he also had the Ashfords for their disgrace and fall they still had buisness dealings in the Terminus systems at least, but all of that meant he was almost as lowly as Marybelle and should anyone target Nunally, well Lelouch would be sure to fall apart.

"Those that survive, I'll need to filter through them one at a time, those who prove valuable we'll keep, those who aren't will be discarded." Lelouch answered his voice flat, save the arrogance that spoke as if everything was predetermined fact.

"Lelouch..." Kallen didn't know what to say, she wanted to shield Lelouch from whatever may hurt him, but she also wanted to support him with this and she wanted to know, to force the truth out of him. However before the Knight could think of how to press Lelouch for answers the IFF system flashed with notifications that at a glance indicated Britannian forces, specifically a squad of Purist Sutherlands and a pair of APCs.

Swiftly Kallen switched the Comms system of her Knightmare on and was quickly met with the voice of Kewell Soresi. "I repeat stop yout approach and announce yourself."

Quickly Kallen began to transmit back to the Purist squad. "This is Kallen Stadtfeld, Knight of Honor of Lelouch Li Britannia. I have his Highness onboard my Knightmare after rescuing him from Terrorists."

"What is the Prince's condition?" The reply was of course immediate and slightly eager with a natural tinge of concern, after all the Purists were deluded enough to think Lelouch was their ticket into higher station.

"I'm fine Lord Kewell, if you have a command vehicle or a Command Knightmare I'm taking it to take direct command of the situation. All your forced are to obey my every order and you are to say my and lady Stadtfeld's full name, understood?" Lelouch reached across Kallen immediately using his most authoritative voice and as he spoke he seemed to focus his gaze on Kewell's Knightmare, and he then winced as Kewell replied.

"Yes your Highness, We have a command vehicle towards the back, however I think it'd be best if we kept to the code words you had prepared." The Purist Lord stated as Lelouch scowled, causing Kallen no end of confusion. Just what was the Prince expecting?

"Good, now contact and recall your forces we need to coordinate our strike, let the Geth and E.U. weaken each other for now. All we need it to reach the Beacon, I want to concentrate our fire power on grid twelve of the defense. Once I'm in the command vehicle and can assess our forces I'll give orders on how to launch our strike, have your men forward any suggestions and observations to me through Villetta or Kallen. If you and your men can form a full battleplan before I'm in place forward it to me for review." As Lelouch gave these orders Kallen pulled her Gloucester into the center of the Purists position and then opened her cockpit, the railed pilot seat sliding back allowing Kallen to prepare the winch to lower her prince gently to the ground where two squads of Purist infantry fully equipped in the best gear their small political faction could afford then took positions around Lelouch ready to give their lives in his defense.

As they waited Kallen's energy filler was replaced and she was able to inspect her machine. The armor was damaged reducing the effectiveness to approximately seventy-eight percent of what it should be, and the shield emitters were still operational but the power lines seemed to have some bleed reducing the machine's shield capacity to ninty-four perfect. Her Knightmare was still better than any of the Sutherlands, but the gap in performance wasn't as wide as it was before and with the enemies they were facing there might be a need to reassess the designs of the current Knightmares, some minor adjustments might be necessary.

As Kallen did her inspection of the Knightmares her Omnitool chimed seven times, and each time she inspected the information forwarded to her, four of those times she rolled her eyes as the Purists dared to push useless observations and plans to Lelouch, but the last three were items of note, the E.U. and Alliance forces were collapsing and their Knightmares were then seen moving in towards the Space Port suggesting that the Geth were in possession of the Space Port.

After everything was done and Lelouch entered into the recently arrived command APC of the Purists, Kallen mounted her Knightmare alongside the four Purists of Kewell's squad. As Kallen's machine powered on, Lelouch's voice came through the Purist command channel. "The Geth have seized the Beacon in the E.U.'s Star Port and have begun to fortify their position. The Majority of the Geth forces are turned to address the Alliance and E.U. garrison forces attacking from out direction. Kallen you will take charge of detachment Q1 from the battle plan I'm forwarding to you now, Kewell take command of R1, Villetta you will take command of K2 we'll be taking advantage of Villetta's suggested plan of striking deeper into E.U. territory and circling around the Geth'd prepared positions, no need to get mixed in with the European and Alliance forces. We will then strike the Port from the Europia colony side of the port likely striking the Geth reserve forces. Follow the timetable I'm uploading to your computers and we should be able to take advantage of the ongoing battle to capture the Beacon and withdraw. We do not need to take the Space Port, leave it's recapture to the Alliance."

"Yes your highness." Multiple voices responded, and Kallen looked over the provided battleplan, Villetta's suggestion must have been good because the plan Lelouch forwarded seemed impeccable. Kallen then identified the Q1 team and dropped her land spinners taking off for the eaiting force. Lelouch's timer was already running and she didn't have long before they were all to be pushing fairly deep into E.U. territory.

It was then nearly fifteen minutes later and Kallen met up with her detachment and they sped off into the Europia colony lands. Swiftly the situation turned into one of tense yet dull progress, over comms Kallen could hear of several short and sudden engagements, Purists finding Geth scout forces or encountering retreating or reinforcing E.U. or Alliance forces. Still those engagements were short and decidedly in the Britannians favor, the Geth scouts were small groups or drones simply trying to track the Alliance and E.U. forces, and the Alliance and E.U. forces they encountered were tired remnants still trying to reorganize after the Geth had hammered through the Space Port defenses.

Then Kallen's detachment reached their destination and after a quick check in with Lelouch they were given a two minute break before the signal for the next phase of the operation was sent. Now five seperate detachments were sent going at full speed towards the Space Port, and it seemed maybe only Kallen out of all of them saw the importance of how Lelouch had timed and pathed their assaults. Kewell's R1 detachment and the R2 detachment would both meet and throw themselves into the Geth defensive line meant to stall any reinforcements that may be coming from the E.U. colony tower and both units would take the brunt of the fighting. Villetta's K1 unit would work at flanking the Synthetics while B1 should be arriving in time to stop any reactionary force from intercepting Villetta. And then lastly Kallen would be delivering the final blow with Q1 detachment.

But she would have to see if this was how the battle played out, or if the enemy was a match for Lelouch. Two minutes and the first confirmations of R1 and R2 making contact arrived. Kewell and his Knightmares skirmished with the Geth their weaponry picking apart the slower and smaller Geth Destroyer units but suffering damages and at least one loss to the Geth's rockets. Meanwhile the infantry rushed in taking cover and exchanging adequate fire with the Geth. Then Villetta's unit reported coming under fire and a Geth dropship moving to intercept, causing Lelouch to change his plan ordering B1 to rush for the space port to achieve the needed flank and Kallen also noted as her guidance system also adjusted her path as per Lelouch's new plan.

And after a little over a minute Kallen lead a squad of Knightmares along with several transports into a headling rush of a wall leading into the space port. Of course her Knightmares launched their slash harkens and began their ascension up the sides of the Space Port walls, guns already destroying geth who tried desperately to slow their approach, but the Geth found themselves vulnerable on two sides thanks to the R1 and R2 teams frontal assault and the B1 flanking force. If Kallen could take the lip of the Stat Port her infantry could use the high speed cargo elevators to reach the elevated platform in safety, and she was finding that with the Purists support and sacrifice her team's approach was made safe and easy.

Kallen crested the lip of the star port and was able to directly see the scene of chaos before her, taking in details neither her IFF system, nor the reports from the forward assault teams could convey. Kewell's knightmares were darting in erratic patterns always trying to push forward in the typical frontal Britannian fashon but forced back by the sheer volume of counter fire from the Geth opposed to them. Deeper into the star port the B1 detachment was locked into a number of crates their Knightmares and infantry ducking for cover while firing in nearly every direction trying to thin the Geth on the front lines, support Kallen's approach and exchanging fire with Geth coming from the train station where the Beacon stood alone on a platform as if it was waiting for the victor to claim it. Near the Beacon, hiding from the Geth and only noticed thanks to a IFF beacon, the Camalot team of Lloyd and Cécile along with the robed scientist with them lay as close to the Beacon as they could manage still trying to acquire any data they could from the device.

Kallen was met with light Geth resistance, their numbers insufficient with the severity if the battle, and the sheer number of approaches Lelouch's forces had taken. Swiftly the Knight gunned down several Geth that were exposed to her holding her ground until the cargo elevators arrived and infantry began to pour into the battle. Now Kallen and her Knightmares had one goal, the capture of the Beacon.

Then the comm systems chimed with a new contact, the Camlot team. "We need to get out of here!" Lloyd's panicking voice shouted.

Kallen shot a destroyer killing the exposed machine. "What is this?"

"They've got Nukes set up at the station, their going to vaporize the entire Star Port to cover their tracks!" Lloyd's panic was now replaced by Cécile's more calm and professional explanation. "Unless we have someone who can defuse warheads we have only a few minutes before detonation."

Now Lelouch came onto the comms. "Kallen get Lloyd and the Beacon out of there!" As Lelouch spoke the IFF GPS system identified the nukes signiture.

"I will clear a path!" Now Kewell pushed forward both trying to help and seeing a chance for glory as he and his Sutherlands pushed forward heedless of the danger, two already drolling but breaching the Geth line neverless.

"Q1 team, we're moving for Professor Lloyd." Lloyd was the easier objective to secure and every second mattered. Though as Kallen spoke, one of the Nuclear signitures changed, the bomb becoming inactive.

The train pulled into the station and Hana stepped onto the main platform to a surprising sight. While Susaku was already firing on Geth on the plaforms above, Kaiden was announcing the sight right before Shepard for the others to know. "Demolition charges, the Geth must have planted them!"

Already Shepard was on her knee working the controls of the bomb with her Omnitool as the interface. Fortunately the Geth had made the weapon very straightforward in its design. However the implication was frightening enough.

"Is that a nuke?" Ashley stated in surprise looking away from her rifle sights to where Shepard was just finishing her work with the bomb.

"I think they intend to eradicate any evidence of what they were doing here." Shepard stated in a tone vastly more calm than she felt. Maybe it was something to do with Synthetics but working with a nuclear bomb with such easy controls unnerved her almost as much as a bomb with various fail-safes layered onto it.

After firing a burst to help surpress some of the Geth overhead the Pink Marine checked on her Omnitool. "Fuck! There's three more!"

Shepard stood having finished defusing the first bomb and removing the detonator charge to prevent any rearming of the bomb. "I'll defuse them, Ashley, Alenko cover me! Susaku clear the Geth!" The sounds of battle were thick, all around the Star Port the E.U. and Alliance forces must have been pressing in from every direction, which made the possibility of nuclear detonations even more horrifying, how many good soldier's would die if Shepard couldn't get to the bombs in time? And with the timer she had seen, she had minutes to defuse these bombs, only good news was that these were fairly low yield bombs, about eight kilotons worth of materials.

Shepard still had to work to stop the bombs and couldn't afford to be slowed down or distracted. She wrapped herself in a biotic barrier and set to running for the next nuclear signal. Her pistol ready, but her focus on the bomb. A burst of fire caught her in the back staggering her, but Ashley met the gunfire with a burst of her own and Shepherd kept running. Another large Geth with Green and Grey paint stepled forward to meet Shepard Head on but teo rounds form Susaku's remaining arm cannon blew through it's shields, and turned the synthetic into scrap. She then slid to the bomb and immediately set to work on disabling the detonator charge for the bomb.

As she worked, now on the second level and more in sight of the Geth, Shepard was a island among a raging sea of battle. Kaiden's biotics sent Geth soaring through the air with various pulls, lifts and pushed, while Ashley lay out a near constant stream.of gunfire, whenever a weapon overheated she'd already have it's replacement in mid-draw and firing within a second. Meanwhile Susaku endured the Geth his waist machineguns laying into the Geth while the one cannon arm blee apart the Synthetics cover or blasted the more powerful of them into parts.

"Done! Moving to the next bomb!" Again Hana engulfed herself in a biotic barrier, thr batrier itself so thick it felt like she was breathing through a tube as she rushed across the bridge through the waiting guns of the Geth and towards her next target.

As Shepard ran, mass accelerated rounds impacting her shields and detonating in micro-blasts of plasma, Kaiden and Ashley worked hard to cover the N7 Vanguard. But before Hana could reach the next bomb her shields and barriers were broken and a single round clipped her leg, the N7 fell her momentum causing her to slide and roll to the bomb where she immediately ignored the pain and set to work. All around her thr battle still raged, but now it felt as though the Geth were weakening and even the distant sounds of gunfire were slowly fading.

Then there was only one bomb left, Kaiden forcibly applied medigel to Shepard as she worked but now Hana had little time, she couldn't even reinforce herself with her barrier. Instead she took off sprinting for the final bomb, as a Geth stepped out of cover to try and gun her down Hana reached out, her biotic power then throwing the Geth over the railing of the station while Hana's pistol snapped forward sending six shots into the chest of a final Geth breaking its shields before it could fire and impacting with enough force to stagger and then kill the synthetic.

And then Hana was at the final bomb and working. The clock was ticking away and she would not allow the Geth to nuke a human world, and especially not allow them to steal or destroy the Prothean Beacon. She worked the device, sorting through the commands the Geth had uploaded into the bomb before removing the failsafe detonators and finally the primary detonator from the bomb and then Hana Shepard sighed allowing the tension of the moment to wash past her, the timer had read three minutes and twenty-four seconds before the detonation. If she had been amy slower on the train, too caught up talking or anything before now they could had well died in a nuclear explosion.

Hana could feel tears from the stress running down her cheek. Now that the nukes will not explode killing everyone, they needed to find the Beacon. With hands that trembled with relief before returning to her practiced cold effiency Shepard drew her pistol and lead Kaiden and Ashley towards the loading bays. "Susaku wait here, we need to confirm the Beacon's status." Hana ordered the Japanese devicer.

Hana lead her team towards the Beacon leaving the Train station and taking cover overlooking the loading bay for the star Port. On its own the Prothean Beacon stood out a green glow encapsulating the ancient device. Meanwhile as Shepard watched a Redheaded Britannian devicer pulled a white haired man in a lab coat into her Knightmare before her machine sped off, at her sides two other devicers pulled an military looking woman and a man in religious robes into their machines before they too took off after their leader. This left only two squads of Britannians, and three Knightmares on the platform guarding the Beacon. As Shepard watched one of the Knightmares opened it's cockpit and a man in the clothes of a Britannian noble with brown hair climbed out of his Knightmare and stood staring at the Beacon.

Shepard looked at the back of the man's head and could feel her heart rate quicken, the troops and the man if she didn't act soon they'd take or destroy the Beacon. If she didn't act...

'...she would still be a slave. Meat didn't have a name, once it had a name, but the whippings were intent on making her forget it. She knew the name, but until she was free she had to accept that she was meat, the master could hurt meat, use meat because meat was just that, meat, meat wasn't a person. She had the pistol clutched in her hand, it was massive in her tiny hands with her frail tiny arms.

The boy before he had said he had a name, it was a weird name but since he had a name she didn't laugh, meat couldn't laugh at what was funny. He then offered her something she couldn't remember what, but she said 'No' to him and the world was dark. When she could see the pistol was in her hand, and the master called from over the speaker demanding that meat come and serve him.

When meat arrived she hid behind the couch, pistol in her hand her grip trembling. In the master's office was a blood soaked monster, and a demon. The monster sipped it's tea pretending to be human, while the demon chuckled and offered the monster a deal. It had taken time, but meat had learned Batarian, that way she could avoid getting beat by them when they were angry, but the monster would beat her even when it was happy.

The demon checked the clock impatiently before asking where meat was. And then meat decided to kill the monster first, even as it sipped tea, it was still more deserving of a quick death than the demon. So meat stepped out from behind the couch, her tiny shaking hands aiming at the monster and catching her tormentors off guard. She fired, the first shot impacted the monster's shield at the shoulder, the second went wild but still struck his knee breaking it's shield, the third punched through the Batarian's shield causing him to drop his tea as he died.

That's when the demon stood pulling a sword from it's sheath at his side. "Damn brat think you can rebel against ME, It seems i have to remind you whi is the master here!" Meat thing switched targets to the demon, the Britannian noble and opened fire, and Hana Shepard full of wrath and hate for her tormentor returend from the void, she existed once again.'

Shepard had moved before she knew it. With a expert shot she downed the first Britannian soldier a man unlucky enough to not have a active shield. Her biotics had thrown another off the ledge and down the drop to his death on the ground beneath the Port. At this moment Kaiden and Ashley joined them and shortly after Susaku's Knightmare was coming over the divider wall firing it's lone cannon into the first Sutherland the heavy explosive rounds shattering the Knightmare's shield. It was with her team's support that Shepard charged towards the dismounted Knightmare and its devicer.

The man was shouting orders while drawing a pistol and sword aiming both at Shepard. The man fired at Shepard but she ducked the first shot from the man while firing her pistol that she held two handed. The shots flaired the man's shield and as the pair closed on eachother his own shots impacted her barrier and soon the pair were so close that the Knight swung his sword only for Shepard's biotic barrier to block the sword strike causing the blow to rebound as if the man had struck stone.

In response Hana fired more into the man until his shield broke, and then she kicked him, the blow landing just under his ribs. Next she brought up her knee which struck the man's diaphragm which toppled him over just as she then reaimed her pistol and with a single squeeze of the trigger put a hole through the Britannian's brain. The man immediately dropped, his corpse hitting the ground in a single solid thud as his life and brain matter leaked out of the hole in his head.

Ashley had already gunned down four of the twenty remaining Britannian soldiers while Kaiden had thrown one off from the platform while gunning down two others. As this happened Susaku managed to penetrate the cockpit of the first Sutherland and now rushed the second Knightmare ducking under a stream of fire by switching off the Knightmare's autobalancer and bending the machine back far enough the cockpit scrapped against the ground before aiming his Slash Harken and firing it from the Panzer-Beine's chest. The shot knocking the head off the machine as Susaku brought his cannon point black with the machine but before Susaku could fire the other pilot engaged the ejection system launching his cockpit away by nearly half a kilometer.

With both Knightmares destroyed and Ashley and Kaiden already tearing through their ranks the Britannians broke, their infantry fleeing the battle looking to regroup. But now the Alliance was in charge of the Beacon. Immediately Shepard opened her channel to the Normandy.

"Normandy the beacon is secure. Requesting immediate extraction before the Britannians can regroup, their going to push for it again as soon as they can." Shepard reported, Joker would have to fly fast and Susaku and the cargo team would have to load fast because their window to get the Beacon out of here was certainly going to be short.

As Shepard made her report to the Normandy she could barely hear Ashley and Kaiden speaking to one another about the Beacon. "Something must have activated it." Ashley stated stepping closer to the device.

Shepard turned back to look at the Beacon just as some sort of pulse went out from the Beacon and she could see Ashley being pulled towards the tower like device. Acting on immediate impulse Hana ran and grabbed the other woman throwing her aside, only to be caught by whatever force had been reaching out to Ashley before. In a instant Shepard was ripped off from her feet and held suspended several feet in the air as pure information poured into her. Images flashed across her mind, words without meaning, symbols without form, so much that she couldn't understand. And then the Beacon exploded and Hana's world turned black.

Federated Systems Alliance:

Created by an initiative started by the Ninty-seventh Emperor of Britannian upon his ascension to the throne. While the intent for the creation of the Federated Systems Alliance is disputed the mission statement agreed upon by the signature nations that formed it was straightforward and decisive. To prevent the possibility of a catastrophic space war between the Human Superstates, and to combat any forms of space piracy or privateering the Superstates of Earth would combine their space assets to form a supernational organization with the express power to protect space trade and to defend the human colonies from space born threats.

The Federated Systems Alliance also possessed a number of representative seats both in the form of a representative Parliament where various seats are granted to a wide array of interest groups, ranging from the Superstates themselves, to the representatives of humanity's 'spacer' population, to the largest and most influencial corporations in human space. To check the Parliament a Consulate of four Consuls and a Chancellor serve as the executive authority of the Alliance and work with a military judiciary committee to ensure the enforcement of the Federated System Alliance dictates which are limted by the Charter of the Federated System Alliance to be for the protection of Human Trade and humanity's colonies and to not interfere with the sovereignty of humanity's superstates. However this still permits a broad number of powers to the Federated Systems Alliance and there are both voices calling for further limitations on its powers and those wishing to broaden the scope of the Alliance's powers.

Holy Britannian Empire:

The second oldest of humanity's superstate entities, the Holy Britannian Empire, or Britannia is a Imperialistic Absolute Monarchy ruled currently by it's Emperor Charles Zi Britannia. Often called the rogue state of Earth, the Holy Britannian Empire does not recognize the authority of the Citadel Council and as such operates independently often having to support and protect their own colonies. However Britannia exists in a unique position out of all the governments that refuses to recognize the Citadel Council, as they still, even after significant restrictions had been placed on the superstate, hold representative positions on the Federated Systems Alliance Parliament, and are allowed to take one Consul seat in the Consulate each electoral cycle.

As the Federated Systems Alliance does recognize the Citadel Council and Britannia is a recognized member of the Federated Systems Alliance their state often can use this distinction to bypass the standard Citadel trade restrictions. Britannian-Citadel relations are particularly sour as Britannia is seen as the chief instigator of the Continuation War and even after the war holds onto some territories that had originally belonged to Citadel Council species, despite the territories being of little value for colonization, possessing no known archeological sites, and being relatively poor. Still the Holy Britannian Empire even after their defeat in the Continuation war remains humanity's primary instigator of hostile exchanges and has been caught several times providing port to pirate bands.

Van the Rogue Soul Drinker: Its still going to take a little while for Lelouch and others to start gaining traction, poor prince isn't even being given the cool "black prince" moniker yet instead being given a less respectable version. And as for groupings breakdowns that taken quite a lot to decide on.
