Annebeth sighed as she sifted through her blueprints for the reconstruction of Olympus. Being the Architect of Olympus was no easy task, especially when each god or goddess had their own preferences or complaints. And her love life was no less stress inducing. Percy recently, well, like for a month, has become more distant with her. He moved to New Rome, telling her he can't tell her why and that it's a surprise. It didn't help at all that whenever she went to Aphrodite, she had this look that said, 'I know something you don't'.

She was heading to her own cabin when she bumped into... pencils? An intoxicating smell of wood and pencils hit her, and she vaguely noted that she likes that smell.

"I'm so sorry! Are you ok? Oh my gods, is that you?! One of the Seven!"

When Annebeth backed up to see into who she bumped into, she noticed that it was Jake Mason, who still had some of his bandages from when he was hunting Festus. He was the temporary counselor for cabin 9 until Leo took over. Oh my Goodness. Leo. Never mind, she guessed he was the counselor again unless that fiery dumbass comes back alive. But as a daughter of Athena, she can logically say that there was no way he could have survived that explosion, even with fire immunity.

"It's ok" she said as she brushed herself off. She looked into his eyes and realized she had been staring.

"Umm, I guess I'll keep going" she said awkwardly. Why was she awkward! She barely knows the guy!

He picked up one of her blueprints. "Here you go. By the way, this looks very nice. But see this colunm? I think it will be better like this" he pointed out

"Thanks? Bye!" She turned around and continued walking. When she got to her personal working corner at cabin 6, she looked into his suggestion and noted to herself it did look better that way. How did she fail to notice that detail?

She looked at the time. Percy was supposed to IM her any minute now. She didn't understand why Percy couldn't tell her what he was doing in New Rome. They had already shared so many near-death adventures and secrets. She had confessed much about her 'runaway' days, and she had seen his evil side in Tar-That Place, and many more examples that are just too much too name.

A rainbow appeared. And in it was a face she recognized. The only way she would not be able to do so if she had amnesia. And even then, she would always feel her soulmate as her love (A/N yeah right 😉) and he would do the same. Heck, he still remembered her name when everything about his own life was erased.

"Hello wisegirl. How's Olympus going?" he asks, his green eyes shining with the question

"Just fine. Aphrodite is freaking me out right now though" only for a second did anger and recognition sweep through his eyes. Just as fast, though it disappeared. Annebeth wondered if she was seeing things

"Maybe she's planning your love life right now or something. You know how she is" he chuckled

"But why would I need a love life right now? I already have one." Annebeth somewhat joked back

"I know. I will always be your seaweed brain. Well maybe not for long..." he muttered the last part

"What was that?"

"Oh, just me complaining about being an idiot"

"But you're my idiot who conviently is keeping secrets from me"

He looked sheepish as he rubbed the back of his neck "look, sorry, but I have this quest that was asked to keep quiet-"

"And since when do you listen or keep secrets?"

"Since you" he said, smiling. Then he realized what he said "I mean the listening part. The secrets just come as a package"

"Anyway" he continued "In a couple months I'll come back. I promise, not on the Styx though because what if another Olympians steals me, knocks my head hard on a table, and drops me off-I don't know? A Norse camp?" He joked

" 'kay. See you later then. Same thing same time tomorrow?"

"Yep. See you later Wisegirl"

"You too, Seaweed Brain" she laughed and swiped through the Iris Message.

She wondered what was up. She was worried that Percy might be cheating on her or something, but his fatal flaw is loyalty, part of her argued. That didn't stop her from worrying though.

Nancy Bobofit was not your average girl. Take her sixth grade for example. Mrs. Dodds always creeped her out, but since the teacher always took her side, she didn't argue. And Mr. Brunner, the way his eyes just had thousands of years of knowledge, not even her gramps had those kinds of eyes.

And Underwood just had this weird 'animal' vibe around him. Jackson was one of the weirdest though. That one time at the field trip near the fountain, she still wasn't sure what happened. The way everyone just thought Mrs. Dodds just disappeared. She just played along because she didn't want to seem crazy, after all there was a reason she was in that class in the first place. She had seen many weird animals that no one else saw, and she made a mistake. She told her teacher about it in 4th grade.

Anyway, that one field trip in 6th grade unnerved her. The weather, Mrs. Dodds, Mr. Brunner and his weird wheelchair. And the way he was so focused on Greek myths like they were real or something! And they said she was crazy!

However, after that year, her hallucinations only got worse. Big furry dogs with red eyes, flying horses, one eyed people, like they had an eye in the middle of their forehead! There were many weird things, but when she was 16, things were the most interesting. Weird storms, but she saw a huge monster. Or the time everyone in New York fell asleep, and she didn't. There were armies of monsters, they were looking at her a lot, but oddly enough, they left her alone. Or maybe she just had wild dreams.

Her life had always been harsh. Her mother was always disappointed in her. Every time she saw her, she scowled at her, like life itself had disappointed her. Many times had Nancy heard her mother crying in the master bedroom when she though everyone was asleep.

When she was younger, she had asked her mother about her father. It was before Nancy was a kleptomaniac, so her mother was not as disappointed yet. Her father was described as a mischievous, funny lad. They married, had her, and one day he just disappears. Weeks later, his mangled body was found, covered in weird, animal-like scratches. Nancy guessed her mother became bitter after that, though she can't really say since she was 3 at the time of her father's death.

Anyway, when she was 15, her mother kicked her out to learn to fend for herself. Yes, harsh, but Nancy understood that she was just a nuisance with bright red hair. She went to her Aunt and begged on her knees to take her in. She doesn't know whether it was out of pity or not, but she did. And to make sure that it didn't look like she was taking advantage of her aunt's kindness, she started to do chores and took up a job.

And one night, when she was 25 or something, something world changing happened. It was dark as she finished her shift. When she did, in that one creepy alley she saw blood red eyes. Those eyes wanted you to run for your life. And she did just that. As she ran, that... thing whatever it was followed. She didn't know if she was seeing things or not but seemed so real this time.

As she crisscrossed through the unknown alleys, it was catching up to her. When she looked back to see how close, she ran into a wall. It was a dead end. And a dead end for her. When she closed her eyes to accept death, she thought about her mother. Would she care? Is she going to become even more resentful? Would anyone care?

She waited a moment. Nothing. Is it supposed to be this quiet? She slowly opened her eyes to reveal her savior. It was a translucent human figure. His face was blank. In his chest there was a slight glow, as if to show that at one point, it used to be alive. He was holding a semitransparent sword, and there was golden dust everywhere. In his throat, there was this rumble as if he was trying to talk, but it wasn't working. That noise was somehow comfortable, left her feeling safe around that ghost. He made a gesture that beckoned her to him. He wanted her to follow her. Yep, she was crazy, but she found herself hoping this was all real.

She moved closer to him and an unnatural wind smelling like the sea blew all around her. She looked around to see that somehow, they were somewhere else now. It was a forest. She saw the sign 'Delphi's strawberry farms' and then bit further down the path, 'Camp Half-blood', whatever that means. She was holding the ghost's transparent hand as he led her to a huge pine tree. His rumblings became clearer than ever before, until she can make out words.

"I leave you here"

"What?" Is he going to just leave her in the middle of nowhere?

"Walk down this hill and find the biggest house. You'll find someone in there. Tell them that The Ghost found you" his deep voice rumbled. Then his already transparent body became limpid until he faded from existence.

Nancy looked down the hill and was amazed. Is that a lava climbing wall?! Maybe the dark shadows are playing tricks on her. She walked past all the magnificent cabins until she reached the biggest. Well, that's a big house, she thought. She walked in, and she was surprised at who she saw.

She thought she left him at Yancy. "Mr. Bunner?!"

In front of her was a half-horse, waist up her old Latin teacher

He smiled warmly at her. "I was expecting you to come here sooner or later, Ms. Bobofit. Though with their oath I was expecting sooner" he muttered at the end "So, what happened?"

"Well, I um was in this alley, and this super weird dog with red eyes almost attacked me, and this ghost thing saved me, brought me here, and now I'm here. He left me at this pine tree, told me to find the biggest house, and tell you to that a ghost found me" she rambled awkwardly

He introduced her to Chris, her relative apparently. He had this weird buff girlfriend who started yelling at the sky when she saw her.

"You promised! On the Styx that you will claim your children by 13, not 25!" Chris calmed her down as Mr. Bunner, apparently Chiron, came towards the couple.

"Clarisse, calm down" the now identified Clarisse reluctantly but calmed down

"They promised to claim their children by the age of 13, not grandchildren" Chiron added

Suddenly a bright light appeared above her head.

"Hail Nancy Bobofit, granddaughter of Hermes, god of boundaries, roads, crossroads, thieves, etc." Chiron seemed to recite

Clarisse and Chris filled her in about the gods, her many uncles and aunts, who some are still children, which she found odd. Chris was the current counselor of her cabin, since the apparently famous Stoll brothers were gone to pursue life or something. She also found out that since many of the Olympian Cabin counselors were in both wars, which freaked her out that there were wars in the first place, they and their mates were made partially immortal.

All the weird stuff in New York? It was a war. Greece? Also, war.

"You know, there is an illegal story night tonight if you want to. This might be your only chance." Chris whispered to her

"Illegal story night?"

He looked around to make sure no body's listening "The gods recently banished a great hero. Now if you even say his name, you will be punished. Forget about story"

"And somebody's willing to go against the gods for a story?!"

"Shh, yes. He was a good friend of his. If not for the hero, many of us wouldn't be here if not for him, especially me."

"So, what's his name?"

"Sorry, I'm not the one to go against the gods. You might find out at the story night" he whispered and left her alone around the campfire, where many other children were gathered. Towards the middle, there was a very pale boy of about 14-15, but since there were several immortals around here, maybe he's older. He had dark hair, and darker eyes. Next to him there was a blond boy, with blueish-gray eyes. They looked like they were exact opposites, but they seemed together.

The dark boy clapped his hands, and whatever chatter there was cleared out.

"I'm still stiff from being a tree, so whichever of you little shits are going to snitch on me might not get to see Apollo's chariot again." Tree?

"Last time someone snitched on me, I got turned into a tree for 5 years as a punishment, and the guy that did that didn't live another year. But nearly nobody missed him, he was a jerk. Anyway, the Forbidden tale. Ok guys, you wanna hear how he got banished or some of his deeds?"

Nancy braced herself and asked, "What's his name?"

"Ahh, you're that new camper who apparently in her 20s and the dear gods still don't fully keep their oaths. Sure, some argue that legacies don't count, but come on! The monsters don't care if it's a legacy or not! So, his name. His name is Percy Jackson."

With that sentence, Nancy's world stopped. The Percy Jackson that she used to bully? Maybe to confirm she can ask about his friend.

"Wait. Percy Jackson who's friends with Grover Underwood?!"

"How do know that?"

"Long story" she mumbled

"So, banishment or deeds?"

"Banishment!" somebody yelled in the crowd

"When the Giant war was over, he grew more distant. But Tartarus can do that to people. So far there are only 3 recorded mortals who were able to go into Tartarus and live. Me, Annebeth, and him. Annebeth and him were boyfriend and girlfriend. Percy later went on a secret quest for Athena to earn her blessing because he wanted to propose. He was blinded by his love for her that he didn't notice that Annebeth acquired another lover. I'm fine with the fact that she loved another one, but not with the fact that she cheated on the day he was going to propose to her. He was heartbroken. I don't know if he was going to trust or love anyone again. The worst thing was that he already knew, or at least suspected.

All his friends were scattered around the world, or in my case, under the world. He felt truly alone. Then the gods finally realized that the world was saved from the world from someone other than themselves. They decided to offer the Seven godhood, or maybe Percy brought them to their senses via sass and/or threats. I always suspected he had a secret death wish, but nonetheless, it worked. Aphrodite informed the council beforehand that Annebeth and Percy were no longer one. They thought he had nothing connecting him to the mortal world.

I honestly have no idea whether he did or not, but he didn't accept it. He said that me and Reyna also contributed a lot to the victory. He had offered his own godhood in exchange for partial immortality for me and a couple more people. They refused. Then, that kelp head somehow got an argument worthy of Athena and was able to convince the council.

A couple months later, Zeus decided that he was too dangerous and when he realized that if godhood is to be forced on him, it's going to be easier to control him" he scoffed

"Yeah right. Nobody except his mother and loyalty could control him. Annebeth could at one point, but she broke that privilege. Anyway, Percy refused to become a god. Maybe he was afraid to become like them. The rest of the story is simply rumors from other minor gods. Rumors that he escaped his chains, or that he became a ghost. There are many theories that The Ghost is actually him. But with no evidence, we can only guess"

"Ok, good night children, while I do my grand escape from the wrath of Zeus" And he disappears into a shadow

A couple days later, Nancy hears that a new dolphin joined the ocean.
