Happy New Year Readers!

It has been a long time since I posted and unfortunately, a lot has happened. My Uncle has been in and out of hospital and my Grandad was ill, resulting in him passing away in October.

On the bright side, I have taken all my exams and am just waiting to hear the result of my last one taken. So will be able to post much more frequently now.

Thank you for your patience.

"Let's see..." Bloom started. "Were you bitten or born? Do you transform on the full moon? Is it a full transformation? Do you still retain your mind and consciousness after? Are there many werewolves in Magix?"

"Woah, slow down," Karel exclaimed raising his hand in surrender. "I will answer all of your questions."

Bloom just grinned at him and remained silent, waiting for his answers.

Chapter 16:

She quickly learned that Karel was bitten when he was 6 years old and since then he had been living mostly on his own. His parents would occasionally check in on him, but Bloom was horrified to learn that he had to raise himself. He transformed on the full moon, however, it is incomplete compared to most werewolves in Magix, who can willingly change between human and wolf. Additionally, he is mostly feral during this time as the wolf is a lot stronger than him.

As he spoke Bloom could hear the resentment and self-hate in his voice and she wondered if this was how Teddy would feel if her dad had not been who he was. He had always been there for them no matter how bad the situation.

Soon the aircraft landed outside of Alfea and the girls hurried to get back on campus before the curfew was over. The redhead could not help but rub anxiously at her now bare wrist wondering how badly her dad would react.

"Where the bloody hell have you been!?"

Bloom felt her heart drop to her stomach as she stared at the black-haired, green-eyed man. He was angry. No, he was livid. She would have been scared at his anger if she did not see how worried he had been from the panic in his eyes.

Then he strode quickly over her, scanning her with his eyes, searching for obvious injuries. Upon seeing none, his face went from worried to angry again.

"Why is it that you have repeatedly been getting into trouble!"

"I'm sorry Dad," Bloom murmured, dropping her head.

"Sorry!" Harry shouted. "Every time your bracelet went off, my heart would stop. Do you know how worried I was thinking you could be dead somewhere? What were you thinking!?"

"I know," Bloom said. "I really am sorry, Dad."

Taking a deep breath to calm himself down, Harry sighed "I know you are." Then ran his hand through his hair in frustration. "It's just that you are so far from home... Anyway, you and your friends are safe and I have decided that for the next week, I will be staying here to keep an eye on you!"

"WHAT!"

"Consider yourself under constant supervision."

"That is not fair, Dad." Bloom moaned.

"I don't care."

The next day, all the fairies had gathered for breakfast when Headmistress Faragonda announced that those who volunteered to go to Earth would be leaving on next Saturday morning. This ended up being a two-week trip in which they had to write a three thousand word report on the difference between fairy and Earth magic. Dad had originally been thinking of a simple one-week trip but Bloom guessed that the Magix student's enthusiasm played a role in the increased timeframe.

After all the preparation, she could finally go to Hogwarts!

Meanwhile at Cloud Tower a Team of Specialists marched into the Headmistresses office, "Headmistress Griffin, we wish to discuss an important issue with you."

"Head Specialist Kyran, how can I help you?" the elderly witch asked as she got behind the desk with her hands folded out in front of her.

"Evidence has been provided showing some of your students attacking fairies in the City of Magix," the head Specialist explained and Griffin's eyes widened in surprise.

"That can not be... My students take these rules very seriously and understand that severe punishment will be made for unsanctioned magic used in the City."

"Whilst you believe that to be the case, we have video proof of the contrary and it is not the first time that we have had complaints about some of your students."

After viewing the evidence and reports made Headmistress Griffin could no longer deny the Specialists and she led them first to the room where Icy, Darcy, and Stormy reside - only to find it empty. Griffin sighed in frustration knowing that it was these three who had been causing most of the trouble.

"It appears they are not currently here but I promise that I will be placing tight restrictions on them from now on," She said hoping that this would be enough.

The Head Specialist frowned, however, given that she was one of the three points of Magic he decided to allow her to correct her student's behavior. "Okay, then for now we will be leaving this matter to you, however, should we hear any other issues being caused by them we will be forced to take more extreme actions - such as power restrictors whilst outside."

"I completely understand, thank you," Griffin said to the Specialists. Casting one last look inside the room she closed the door and saw the Specialists out of the castle.

Just as the Headmistress walked away, the Trix reappeared in their room.

"That was a close one," Darcy commented under her breath.

"Yeah, we need to be more cautious from now on," Stormy said falling onto her bed.

"Cautious," Icy scoffed. "We are so close, we can't be cautious now."

"What do you mean?" Stormy questioned sitting back up.

"I mean I have just figured something out about Bloom and you will never believe it."

Later in the week, the Winx were preparing for their first time in Professor Paladium's simulation room, which they had been looking forward to and today was finally the day they could be tested.

The exterior is a dome and Wedgewood color with skobeloff outlining. The entrance was located in the auditorium and had a thick rectangular arched doorway and green rectangles above it. Inside, the walls were orange with broken dark orange arch patterns. One end of the room was connected to the other by a large metal bridge and everything underneath was just an ample space.

"This is it!" Announced Professor Palladium. This is the simulation room."

"What is it exactly?" One of the students asked as everyone glanced around in awe.

"Well it is the product of the most powerful magic and the most sophisticated technology," the Professor began. "The light being produced by these amber panels allows our powerful computer to create all kinds of virtual realities and environments. The replications are floorless.

"Aah, can it be used to simulate virtual dates with boys?" Stella giggled.

"You will be sure to get one then," another girl countered.

Stella blushed in embarrassment as a few girls laughed at her expense.

"Yes... Well," Professor Palladium said getting everyone's attention. "Why don't we simulate your final exam instead? In anticipation of your upcoming midterms next month, I set up for you a simulation of some of the things that you will be on the test."

With that said, the Professor led the girls into another room, it was the control room. "From here we oversee everything that goes on in the simulation room."

"This is you, right?" Stella whispered to Tecna.

Tecna nodded with shining blue eyes as she glanced excitedly around the room. "Yes, it is wonderful," and then rushed to Professor Palladium's side to watch him demonstrate.

"You will be able to choose between two tests, look." Everyone's eyes turned to the window showing the simulation room as each arched pattern lit up yellow.

"The first test is to use magic to counteract the unfortunate results of evil spells cast by a group of witches turning people into toads. Test two is to use magic to produce positive results from a damaged environment."

"That is my strong point," Flora smiled looking at the destitute, desert-like area in the simulator.

"We will all meet here for your mock mid-term. Please come well prepared and ready to go tomorrow morning, believe me, this will be an experience you will remember for a long time..."

With that, the Professor released the girls to self-study.

Later that day after dinner Brandon came to Alfea. Of course, Timmy, Sky, and Karel were with him but they stayed with the others.

She asked him how things were going and as they walked out of the building he began graphically telling her about learning how to rid a dragon.

"I fell off the first few times but I did it in the end," he said. "How about you? How was your day?"

Bloom smiled, "Me, hmmm let's see. I found out we have a practice exam to prepare for the midterms tomorrow."

"Oh yeah, what kind of test is it?"

"It is in the simulation room and will test us on how well we solve problems in certain scenarios."

"Really!" Brandon said looking a bit surprised. However, he said, "We have to take those kinds of tests too sometimes."

"That makes sense," Bloom muttered. "I chose to do the scenario in which I use magic to help a damaged environment."

"And do you feel ready?" Brandon asked.

"Not really, but..." Bloom paused unsure how to finish.

"Yeah, I know what you mean. I don't always feel ready before an exam. At least it will give you an idea of what you know and what you don't know."

"That is true, all I can do is try my best," Bloom said.

"Eh, hem!" a deep-throated sound came from behind Bloom.

"And what are you doing wandering around in the dark," Harry scolded as he stepped closer. "And with a boy no less?"

"Dad," Bloom exclaimed blushing almost as red as her hair.

"I said I would be keeping an eye on you, why act so surprised when I'm right where I said I would be?"

"That is not it and you know it," Bloom shot back only to see her Dad grin at Brandon.

"Nice to see you again Brandon," Harry said.

"You too sir."

"Come along now Bloom," he said whilst holding his hand out to his daughter.

Bloom smiled at Brandon before saying goodbye and running over to her Dad. Then as the black-haired man was guiding her away, Harry's green eyes glared into the tree that was not far from where Bloom and Brandon were speaking. He had sensed the boy's presence in the trees and he was sure it was Riven.

Deep in his gut, he knew that there was something wrong with the situation. He had been eavesdropping on his daughter for the duration of her conversation, which fortunately meant that he knew the same information as the spy in the tree. Therefore, Harry decided he would be attending the simulation exam.

The next morning saw Bloom and her class in the control room of the simulation. Professor Palladium was sitting at the controls and Harry was in the back keeping everything and everyone in sight.

"Alright, ladies in a few moments we will begin. You will go one at a time," the Professor announced.

Everyone looked at each other nervously except for Stella who had already taken this test one before.

"Which one of you ladies is willing to go first?"

Glancing around Bloom noticed not even Stella was willing to go first, so in a burst of unforeseen confidence she raised her hand.

"Excellent Bloom, which test did you choose?" he asked.

"Erm, the second choice Sir. I would like to work in a damaged environment." Bloom muttered.

"Great choice," Flora whispered under her breath and Bloom glanced at her dad who gave her a reassuring smile.

"Come on then," the long-haired Professor said. "You can choose the environment. What would you like?"

"Anything is fine Professor, although I was thinking about something that is very desolate with little greenery?"

"Okay, how about we try Domino then?"

That name was familiar to Bloom, however without thinking too much about it she nodded her head in agreement.

"Okay," the Professor said. "As soon as you enter the simulator room Domino will appear around you. You will have 30 minutes to do what you can to help the environment."

"Professor Palladium," Harry called before Bloom could leave. "If you do not mind I would like to accompany all students into the simulation room. I promise I won't interfere in the test unless needed."

"Unfortunately Mr Potter, I cannot allow that. Since you are Bloom's Father you cannot guarantee that you won't do anything to improve her grade. We also don't know what might happen if an Earth Wizard would enter."

Harry was in deep thought, nodding his understanding. His being inside may negatively affect the simulator. "Then please grant me permission to interfere if the situation is called for."

"I can agree with that," the Professor smiled.

Once Bloom was in the room, the panels lit and she gasped as the metal room melted away and became the barren, ruined land of Domino. The ground beneath her feet was nothing but dried out dirt and there was no grassland for as far as the eye could be seen. Even the air was as cold and lifeless as the ground.

As she walked around the land, Bloom stuck her hand into her bag to look at the items she had prepared. However, she instantly felt something soft and furry. It was Kiko! The redhead shook her head in shock assuming that the little rabbit had wandered into her bag looking for snacks in the morning when she was not looking.

"Honestly, Kiko!" she exclaimed pulling out the rabbit and looking it in the eye. "You better not have eaten anything I would need for my exam." The rabbit squeaked a negative, shaking his head so Bloom put him down and let him explore the simulation area whilst the teenager pulled other things out of her bag.

She pulled out a bag of Breaded Iris's. These plants store moisture and nutrients in their rhizomes, so they prefer dry places compared to damp, lush conditions. This means that insects would be able to have access to the moisture pools, which should help the environment move along. The next thing to do is plant trees since the trees have the benefit of helping to improve the soil around them. However, it will need to be artificially stimulated to start with.

After doing some research, Bloom knew that Dogwood trees, Willow, and Birch trees grow well together with Breaded Iris's she decided she would place these in three separate areas near more Irises. Once done she cast a simple spell to water them and another to increase growth. It was not long before she had grown a meadow full of flowers surrounded by a thick forest.

"Professor," Bloom requested in the room. "Are we allowed to request a time-lapse?"

"Of course my dear," The Professor responded. "After all you cannot help something with only half an hour."

"Great, can you advance the time by two days," Bloom requested.

Just as she finished her sentence, she could see the sky changing from morning to midday and then night, and shortly after two days had passed in seconds. She then checked on a watered the flowers and trees once again before moving on to the outskirts of her thriving meadow. Around this, she planted Mimosa trees giving them a span of around 50 feet for the root. These trees are said to do well in drought areas.

Just as she was about to cast her spells there was a rumble in the sky and the Trix appeared out of nowhere. The three witches were behind the clueless fairy.

Amongst the onlookers, Harry watched his daughter proudly as she methodically tried to show her knowledge and use her powers to complete the task given. However, that all changed when the witches appeared. Immediately, his face went dark and grim as he strode over to the screen and demanded, "Is this part of the simulation?"

The Professor fiddled with the computer and shook his head, "These images are not even in the database for the test type selected."

"Is there a way to determine if they are part of the simulation or if someone had interfered?"

"It has to be the Trix messing with the test. They are probably casting a spell from Cloud Tower," Stella announced.

Harry's magic flared in anger once again annoyed at the irritating Witches who did not know how to leave people alone when threatened. He watched his daughter struggle with the test that was now ridiculously more difficult than it should be, not knowing if the witch's magic could hurt her or not. He was furious! In his life, he had suffered all kinds of unfair, unjust, and unsafe situations at Hogwarts and he was not going to allow this.

"Stella, do you know where Cloud Tower is?" Harry asked the blonde as calmly as he could.

"Well, yes... but," Stella said unsure of where he was going with this.

"May I ask for your permission to look into your mind for the location?"

"You can do that?" Tecna asked in surprise.

"Yes," Harry said shortly.

"Oh, um sure, I guess," the girl mumbled.

"Thank you," Harry smiled and placed his fingers on her temples. "Just relax and think about the tower. I won't look at anything else."

Stella nodded and Harry whispered the spell. Instantly, he was transported into the memories of the girls breaking into the Tower. Then the moment he had a good image of a room in the tower he left Stella's mind and disappeared with a CRACK.
