Under the blue sky, a pink demon-like creature floated in the air. The being stared at its palms worriedly for quite some time. As sweat slid down the demon's face, relief washed over him. A sky-piercing laughter echoed across the sky as he lifted both fists triumphantly. The demon suddenly flew toward the ocean and twirled as it giggled. He swirled and soared high, bathing in the sun's warm rays.

"I won! That pesky bastard's gone for good!"

Abruptly, the red-eyed demon halted, looking puzzled by something. "That's weird... I haven't transformed yet. Why?" He landed on the nearby cliff and inspected his body.

"Oh well, it doesn't matter! I still absorbed that annoying prick! No one in this world can stand up to me!"

His fierce declaration echoed over the land as he tore off the orange and blue martial arts gi. "I can cause as much death and suffering as I want!" The creature chuckled as the ripped material blew away in the wind.

While the thing responsible for so much agony and torment played around like a child, in the sacred land, the two deities remained frozen on the spot as they watched the creature through the crystal ball. The young one dropped to his knees as all hope got lost. He clenched his teeth and squeezed both fists as he started to dread what might await other planets and galaxies with that monster on the loose.

"It's all over... There's no one left to stand in Buu's way. I have failed..."

While the long-haired deity wallowed, the elder kept staring at the crystal ball. He frowned and placed a hand under his chin. "I wouldn't be so sure... Something's not right there, and if my hunch's correct, then he's a lot smarter than I gave him credit for." A single drop of sweat slid down his wrinkled face as he sat down and hoped he was right.

Upon hearing that, the younger deity rose and noticed something was off. "Elder, you're right! Buu always transforms when he absorbs people; why didn't the same happen when he absorbed him?" He gazed at the older god, who kept silent until it chanted a spell, and the view in the crystal ball changed.

As the fog slowly cleared out, they could see a new scenery. Their eyes widened as a person came into view. "There he is! I can't believe it! He let himself get absorbed so he could save the others!" The old Kai took hold of the ball and moved it around out of joy.

"Of course! That's why he kept provoking Buu! Amazing! The hope still lives!"

Inside the monster known as Majin Buu, a warrior stood still. His teal orbs slowly shifted left and right, inspecting the area. His two bangs moved as he slightly tilted his head to the right. The loud laughing annoyed the golden-haired warrior, who had no choice but to cover his ears.

"Tch! He's so obnoxious! How long is he going to laugh like an idiot!? It's so damn loud in here!"

The flame-haired warrior walked around while clad in a luminous glow. "Looks like the barrier worked well. I didn't get absorbed, but I better not risk it and keep it on." His thoughts shifted to a more important matter: finding his friends and family.

"Now I can go and look for Gohan and the others! Let's see if I can sense them even inside Buu's strange body..."

The fused warrior closed his eyes and focused. After a few seconds, his brows twitched, and he reopened his eyes. "It's faint, but that must be them! They're actually nearby!" He hovered in the air, unwilling to alert the host.

He flew slowly and carefully until he saw several cocoons. A big smile surfaced as he saw Piccolo and everyone else. "Great! They're alive!" He flew from one cocoon to another, making sure everyone was well.

The warm smile was replaced with a devilish smirk as his hand began to glow with golden ki. "Now, let's see if you'll still laugh if I do this!" He detached Gohan's cocoon first and immediately sensed a shift in Buu's strength.

"Great! Let's keep it going!"

The warrior laughed as he tore the cocoons off the Buu's system. "There! How you feel about that, Buu!?" He snickered as he gently placed the last one on the ground.

He approached the cocoons and looked at them with gentle eyes. "Alright, now how are we going to get out of here? Should I try and blow him to bits from the inside out?" The full-blooded Saiyan wondered what to do when he caught a glimpse of something.

"What a... A Buu inside Buu? It's the first one that got turned into chocolate. Maybe the others are still here somewhere!"

Just as he was about to search for the rest, he felt a weird sensation. His ears twitched as a noise from behind him grew louder. As he turned around, the warrior frowned upon seeing the weaker version of Buu.

"Afraid not! He's the only one who got special treatment."

Buu detached himself from the ground and screamed before addressing the Saiyan. "But how dare you! You've freed all the people I absorbed! I will make you pay! And there's nowhere for you to run!" The mad Buu charged at the warrior with blind rage.

The fused warrior easily avoided the punch and the kick that followed. As he dodged the attacks, he snorted and spoke to the creature. "I might be stuck in here for now... But it doesn't change that you're vastly weaker than me!" The Super Saiyan caught the fist and countered with a knee to the gut.

Majin Buu got launched across the area and crashed into the wall of flesh. "Ugh! I-I actually felt that one... despite him being the size of a fly! Grr! I need to catch him off guard again!" As he stood up, Buu rushed at the Saiyan again.

The fusion snickered and dismissively shook the head. "Gahh! Don't look down on me!" Buu swung his fist despite being far away. However, a massive fist created out of flesh appeared behind the warrior.

Vegito swiftly turned around and fired a ki blast, melting the flesh. Such a maneuver hurt Buu, who slowed down. The Saiyan faced the slower Majin and let out a chuckle. Vegito crossed his muscular arms and walked over to a pained Buu.

"Give it up, Buu! It's over! You caused so much trouble and proved to be quite a menace. However, your doom was imminent once I was born and put in charge of your fate!"

The Saiyan placed a hand above Buu's head, ready to finish it once and for all, when a giggle caught the warrior's attention. "Got you, fool!" Vegito took a step back as the pink blob surrounded him. "This time, I will absorb you!" While Majin Buu laughed, Vegito squeezed his hands tightly and shouted ferociously.

A powerful golden aura erupted from the fused warrior, blowing away the blob. Buu stared in horror as the radiant aura continued to expand. The creature screamed as the intense light began to disintegrate everything. His inside body melted alongside the nerve system and other flesh.

Despite Buu being gone, Vegito kept it going. The Saiyan gathered the massive ki and condensed it into a small sphere. A smirk surfaced on the warrior's face as he stared at the floating orb. He backed away from it and, with telekinesis, picked up the cocoons. The Super Saiyan gazed at the floating sphere and pointed at it with an index finger. Sparks enveloped it as the light grew erratic. The orb became unstable and detonated, causing lots of damage and destroying anything in its wake.

On the outside, Majin Buu kept screaming as he held his head. "Ahh! It hurts! Damn you!" The back of his head grew larger until it exploded.

With such a massive hole, the fused warrior flew toward the light. The Saiyan emerged from the damaged Majin and laughed as Gohan and the others popped out of the cocoons. Before they could fall, Vegito picked them up and got them safely to the ground. The golden warrior was glad his plan worked in the end. He was sure his creators would have been proud and happy. His thoughts lingered on the two warriors only briefly because he felt something was off.

He flew and saw Majin Buu regenerating very slowly. "Hmph. What's wrong, Buu? Having trouble putting yourself together?" Vegito let out a chuckle while Buu glared at him with blazing hatred.

"Y-You bastard... What did you do to me!? I feel myself slipping away..."

Majin Buu wobbled around and held his head as darkness consumed his consciousness. Cold sweat slid down his temple as he felt himself devoured by the darkness. The demon dropped to his knees and struggled as the unknown changes began to occur in his body. He tried to hang on, but the unknown force was too much to handle.

"N-Noo! I don't want to disappear!"

The cry of agony was so strong that it caused a shockwave. Vegito watched with interest as Buu's body began to morph. The warrior observed the creature go from skinny to muscular within a second. Vegito blinked as he tried to figure out what was going on. He thought his latest attack would weaken the demon, but now the creature's ki rose again. White smoke shrouded the bulky Majin while pink electricity surged around the spot where the demon stood.

Vegito frowned as the smoke started to clear away. The Saiyan uncrossed his arms and carefully observed where a much smaller and thinner version of Majin Buu stood. While the warrior floated in the air and watched for the newer version of Buu to make a move, the long-haired deity trembled with fear in the sacred land of the Kais.

"Oh no! H-He changed back to his original, most dangerous form!"

Upon hearing that, the elder gazed at his younger counterpart. "What do you mean?" He didn't like the sound of that.

The merged Kai explained the story, which included wizard Bibidi's creation of Majin Buu and the five Kaioshins. Painful memories resurfaced as he explained how the wicked creature killed and absorbed his fellow Kais.

"I see. So, by absorbing the gentle and kind-hearted Great Kaioshin, Majin Buu gained heart and was easier to control by Bibidi... And what stands before us is the pure essence of evil."

The fused Kai weakly nodded and shifted his eyes to the crystal ball. Neither said a word and hoped Vegito would end this nightmare once and for all.

Back on Earth, the Majin remained still without even blinking. The Super Saiyan wondered what was happening with the little creature when Buu suddenly raised a hand and fired a ki blast toward the ground.

"What the!"

Vegito acted fast, fired a blast that collided with Buu's, and carried it far into outer space. "There was enough power to destroy the Earth with that blast!" Just the thought of Earth exploding filled the Saiyan with anger.

"Hey, Buu! If you're thinking about blowing up this planet, then you will have to face me!"

Despite Vegito's seriousness and steady approach, Majin Buu grinned. "Keh! Keh!" The pure essence of evil lifted an arm and gathered a massive amount of energy. He looked at the Saiyan with no remorse as it fired the attack.

"Tch! You little..."

Acting fast, Vegito materialized mid-air and faced the massive ball of energy. He took hold of it and propelled it high in the sky. The orb detonated out of Earth's atmosphere, but the amount of power was so intense it caused damage to the planet's surface. Witnessing such a thing urged the Saiyan to take this version of Buu seriously.

"Enough of this. It's time to end this once and for all."

Vegito dashed toward an annoyed Buu. His speed surprised the tiny creature who tried to strike him. The fused warrior blocked the punch and countered with a vicious strike to the gut. While Buu coughed blood, Vegtio grabbed the creature by its head tentacle and slammed him into the ground.

The Saiyan was about to strike again, but Buu had other ideas. Majin Buu extended his left arm and wrapped it around Vegito's ankle. As the creature screamed, ki traveled from Buu's leg to Vegito. The Saiyan got set ablaze, which caused Buu to laugh.

However, with a mere swing of his hand, the flames vanished. "Good idea, but such a weak move won't work on me. Hyah!" Vegito swung his ki blade and cut Buu's leg.

"Ackk!"

Buu cried as the pain surged through his body. He was finally free and able to put some distance, but his healing capabilities slowed down. Just as he looked up, Vegito was in his face and slammed him with an elbow. The Super Saiyan didn't stop. Vegito unleashed a strong combination of punches and kicks, sending Buu flying high in the sky.

The golden glow began to surround Saiyan's body. He put both hands up front, and a flickering orb morphed. As electricity traveled across his arms, he brought the hands near his right hip and stared at the disoriented Majin Buu.

"Majin Buu, you were the most dangerous and formidable opponent my creators and their friends had to face. For being my first opponent, you were amazing. I may face you again once you are reborn as a good guy."

A faint smirk surfaced on Vegito's face as he felt their hands on his shoulders. "Final Kamehameha!" A tremendous ki blast shot toward Majin Buu, who stared at it with fear in its red eyes. The creature screamed as it tried to stop it, but it was too much for Majin Buu.

With Majin Buu finally gone, Vegito relaxed and reverted to his normal state. "It's over." With a smile, he placed a hand over his chest and thought of Son Goku and Vegeta. He could feel their presence even now, and that was all that mattered to him.

The fused warrior slowly descended to the ground and landed near Piccolo and the others. He approached them slowly when suddenly he felt a shift in the air. His orbs shifted to the left only to see the young Kai.

"You did it! The terror of Majin Buu is finally over! Thank you!"

Vegito smiled as the crying deity held his hand. The Saiyan scratched his head as he didn't know what to say to the Supreme Kai. His eyes trailed to Gohan and the boys. With Majin Buu out of the way, he wondered how the others would react to him. Would they embrace him or detest him because Goku and Vegeta were gone? For the first time since his birth, he was nervous and afraid. However, the warrior didn't let it be visible to anyone.

The Saiyan snapped out of it when he felt a presence nearby. He shifted to the right and saw Dende and Satan emerge from the bushes. The warrior was glad to see the young Namekian alive and well. He couldn't help but be surprised that Satan, of all people, survived Buu's terror.

"Supreme Kai! It's a great honor to meet you!"

Dende bowed while Satan hid behind the short Namekian. "H-Hey, bud... Are you sure these guys are good? That one's got pointy ears and pale skin!" Satan trembled while Kai frowned and mumbled something.

"Show some respect! We're in the presence of a higher god!"

While Dende and Satan went back and forth, the others finally began to wake up. Vegito stepped back while Dende and Supreme Kai helped the others get on their feet.

"Ugh. What happend? Dende!?"

Gohan shook his head as he got up with Dende's help. "Easy, Gohan! You guys got absorbed by Majin Buu, but there's nothing to worry about anymore! Majin Buu's dead!" The teen hybrid wore a shocked expression, just like Goten and Trunks.

"Buu's gone? But if we weren't here to beat him, who did!?"

Vegito took a deep breath and stepped forward. "I did. Let me introduce myself. I'm Vegito, the result of Son Goku and Vegeta merging." The warrior crossed his arms and stood firm while feeling quite nervous.

Their shocked faces and silence made the fused warrior even more uneasy. He clenched his teeth and waited for one of them to say anything. His dark orbs trailed to Piccolo, the only one to make a step forward.

The strongest Namekian approached the fused Saiyan and inspected him from head to toe. "I'm surprised Vegeta agreed to merge bodies with Goku. Even for someone as stubborn as him, he must have realized combining was the only choice to defeat Majin Buu." Piccolo's cape swayed as the wind blew over the land.

"Well, since Buu got all of our strength on top of his own, fusing was the only way to defeat someone as powerful as him. Tch! I let my guard down, and the unlocked power got into my head! Just like against Cell!"

Gohan squeezed his fists as he looked away, ashamed that he had let it happen again. The powerful hybrid snapped out of his thoughts when he felt a touch on his shoulder. He looked forward and saw the fused warrior standing in front of him.

"Don't let it get to you. Majin Buu was an unpredictable opponent, and you did your best."

The half-Saiyan looked surprised. Gohan could have sworn his father had just spoken to him. A smile surfaced as he felt that his father was still here despite having no physical body.

"Ahem! If our dads fused to defeat Buu, why aren't you wearing clothes like Gotenks? And shouldn't you separate by now?"

Vegito and Supreme Kai looked at each other, unsure who to explain. The Saiyan took a deep breath and spoke. "I'm the result of a different merging method. The Potara earrings allow warriors to fuse and create a new entity with a unique mind, emotions, and strength. Unlike your way of fusing, this is permanent..." The Saiyan halted as he saw Trunks's stunned and dreadful expression.

"What!? What does that mean!? Are you telling me I won't see my dad ever again!?"

Consumed by anger and grief, Trunks shouted at Vegito, who kept his head high with a serious expression. The fused warrior remained silent, which drove the young hybrid to let his emotions run wild and transform.

"Trunks! Stop it!"

Piccolo's words got brushed aside. Trunks launched himself at Vegito and punched the warrior. Vegtio stared at Trunks, who was in mid-air, and waited for the boy to do it again. However, instead of striking, Trunks flew away while crying.

"Trunks!"

Goten went after his best friend despite Gohan trying to stop him. "Let him go after Trunks, Gohan. They need time to process everything, and they should do it together." Gohan gazed at Piccolo, who let out a sigh.

"I'm sorry, but something like this will take a while for Trunks and, later on, Bulma to process."

While Gohan sat on the nearby stone, Vegito approached the hybrid. "Gohan. You don't seem bothered as much as Trunks. Why?" Vegito approached the hybrid, who looked at him with gentle eyes.

"Well, because I never thought or had any notion that dad would come back to life. He only got permission to visit us for a day, and not even once did I think he would stay with us forever. As for Bulma and Trunks, it's going to be different. They lost someone who was there every single day... Although, it doesn't feel as if they are dead."

Vegito looked puzzled, which caused Gohan to smile. "I can feel Dad's presence within you. And while you might be your own person, Dad's inside of you, just like Vegeta is. So, I guess that would make you my brother? half-brother?" While Gohan brainstormed about the correct term, Vegito laughed.

Piccolo and the others laughed, too, while Satan looked confused. Vegito closed his eyes and hoped the rest would be as accepting of him as Gohan. He opened his eyes and shifted his focus on the young Namekian. However, before he could address the Earth's guardian, a powerful yet familiar ki alerted his senses.

"Mr. Satan! You're here!"

Everyone gathered besides Satan immediately shifted into their battle stance as the fat Majin Buu emerged from the bushes. "B-Buu!? Is that really you!?" Unlike the others, Satan rushed to the kind Majin and hugged the pink creature.

"How's Majin Buu still alive!? I thought Vegito killed him?"

Gohan gazed at the flame-haired warrior while anxiously observing Buu's and Satan's weird display. "He did, the evil side of Buu, I suppose. Somehow, this version of Buu survived." The hybrid looked at Piccolo, who relaxed like Vegito, who laughed at Satan's and Buu's dancing.

"Exactly. This version of Buu is not that bad—besides, these two really like each other.

Gohan couldn't believe what he was hearing. "It's true! Please, don't do anything to Buu! He only did bad stuff because he didn't know better and was told wrong things! The only reason all of this happened was because a human shot his puppy! Please, let Buu go; I will take care of him!" The hybrid was surprised to hear a person like Satan defends Majin Buu.

"Gohan, it's true. This Majin Buu has the heart and kindness of the Great Kaioshin within him. With good friends, there won't be anything to worry about."

Reluctantly, Gohan eased up upon hearing Supreme Kai vouch for Buu. "I guess so." The hybrid sighed, knowing this would be another delicate and complicated matter to discuss.

"However, Buu being on Earth might be a problem. Everyone on Earth would be afraid of him, no?"

All eyes fell on Dende, who had a point. The merged warrior had an idea of how to deal with that. "Well, Buu can stay hidden for half a year in Satan's place until the dragon balls revive. We'll ask Shenron to erase everyone's memories of Buu." Vegito smirked as he patted the confused Buu's shoulder and leaned onto him.

"You'll behave and listen to Satan, right Buu?"

Confused, the fat Buu tilted his head until a large smile morphed. "Yeah! Buu will listen and be good! You want some candy?" Buu pulled candies out of his pants, but the Saiyan politely declined.

Vegito approached the young Namekian and placed a hand on his shoulder. "Dende, it's time to undo all the damage the evil Majin Buu has caused. Want to come with me and visit planet Namek? I'm sure you miss everyone." He smiled once he saw a glint in Dende's eyes as the guardian grabbed his hand.

"Da... Heh, I mean Vegito. I'll go and find Goten and Trunks. Once I find them, we will head to Kami's place and wait for you there with the others."

Vegito nodded and watched Gohan fly away. His eyes drifted to Piccolo, wondering if the Namekian would like to join them. Almost as if Piccolo read his mind, the strongest Namekian warrior already had an answer for him.

"Next time. I will take Satan and Buu and head to Kami's place."

Vegito's gaze drifted to Supreme Kai. "Well, I guess that's it. Thanks for everything, Supreme Kai; if you ever need someone to deal with trouble, you know where to find me." The Saiyan gave the deity a thumbs-up before he vanished.

The long-haired deity smiled and took one last look at the Earth before returning home. "Son Goku, Vegeta. You produced an ultimate warrior; I know you'd be proud. I'm sure Vegito's strength and talents will always be here to protect your home." The Supreme Kai disappeared and returned to the sacred land of the Kais.

Vegito's and Dende's mission was a success. The Namekians and their Grand Elder foresaw the duo's arrival and had the upgraded dragon balls ready. Once they summoned Porunga, they brought back the good people of Earth who had been killed ever since Babidi's arrival on the planet. The two stayed for a bit as Vegito saw it fitting for Dende to spend time with his fellow Namekians. After a few hours, the pair said farewell and returned to Kami's place.

Once they got there, Vegito could feel the stares and the tension. Sweat slid down his temple as he stared at the group. He didn't know what to do. His brain was working overtime and finding proper words to start the conversation. He clenched his teeth and cussed mentally at his incompetence as he looked elsewhere. Suddenly, Gohan's and Goten's mother, Chi-Chi, stepped forward and approached him.

The fused Saiyan stepped back and uncrossed his muscular arms while Chi-Chi walked around him. Vegito didn't know what to say as he observed the black-haired woman who suddenly grabbed his face and stared into his eyes.

"Hm. Gohan was right. You do look a lot like my Goku."

Vegito remained frozen and continued to blink while Chi-Chi squeezed his cheeks. "I already said goodbye to Goku when he returned to the afterlife, but I think I'm okay with this... I can actually feel his warmth and presence, unlike when he was gone." The Saiyan's eyes were wide open as he stared and listened to Chi-Chi.

"See, I told you, Mom. Although dad's not here psychically, there's no denying that his spirit lives within our reach."

The flame-haired warrior gazed at Gohan, who approached with Goten. "Y-You guys aren't angry? Don't you wish for me to be..." Before he could finish, Chi-Chi pinched his right cheek so strong the Saiyan whinced a bit.

"Don't you dare finish that sentence! There's nothing to be angry about, especially not at you. If anything, it's that monster's fault, not yours, Goku's, or Vegeta's... Although, what that man did at the world tournament was..."

A new feeling arose from within, accompanied by pain. Vegito placed a hand over his chest and felt the prince's regret for the inflicted pain and suffering. The warrior's dark orbs trailed past the Son family. His eyes locked onto Bulma, who tightly held onto Trunks and acted tough for the boy's sake. His attention shifted to Goten, who kept pulling his blue gi.

Upon seeing the small and young copy of Son Goku, Vegito couldn't help himself but smile. The warrior crouched and looked into Goten's gentle eyes as the wild-haired boy fidgeted.

"None of us are angry at you, mister. I get why Trunks and his mom are upset, but it's not your fault. Deep down, I know Trunks thinks the same. If I can feel my dad, he can feel Uncle Vegeta."

Vegito patted Goten's head and did his best to remain composed. The Saiyan thought they would put the blame on him and cast him away. He was glad his worst thoughts didn't come to be. However, his eyes moved on the group, more precisely on Bulma and Trunks. The warrior took a deep breath and rose. He stepped forward and slowly approached Bulma and Trunks. His focus remained on the two who were hurting the most. He halted before them, observing from above as Bulma stood on her knees while comforting the lavender-haired hybrid.

The warrior's eyes softened once he saw Bulma's watery eyes. Vegito immediately dropped on his knee. He threw away all the thinking and doubts and instantly hugged her and the boy. The Saiyan could feel the shaking and the whimpers coming from them, but he remained strong.

"Bulma, Trunks. I know it will not be the same, but I will always be here for you whenever you need me. I want to let you know he is still here, watching you from within me. He regrets what he did but knows you are strong and too stubborn to let these harsh circumstances consume you. Especially you, Trunks, who inherited the blood of a Saiyan prince."

Upon hearing such words, Trunks turned around and tossed himself on the fused warrior. "It hurts, but Goten and Gohan are right... I can still feel Dad and hear his voice!" Vegito immediately hugged the boy and remained silent while the hybrid wept. His eyes drifted to Bulma, who didn't say a word; instead, she weakly nodded.

Silence prevailed on the lookout. The terror of Majin Buu was still fresh and lingered in everyone's mind. Realizing that the fused warrior would stay and be a part of their lives didn't seem to faze the Earth's warriors. All they cared for and hoped was for Bulma and Trunks to heal as soon as possible. After a few hours, the group separated, and each went home.

The only ones left on the lookout were Dende, Piccolo, Vegito, and Mr. Popo. Despite being invited to join the Son family, the fused Saiyan politely declined, at least for now. The flame-haired warrior walked around the edge of the Kami's place, looking down. He halted as he made the full circle. His eyes closed as he took a deep breath and, shortly after, exhaled. The man dropped to the floor and crossed his legs as he thought of everything that transpired. A smirk surfaced as he reminisced how he pummeled the terrifying Majin Buu and how easy it was to defeat the demonic creature. However, his thoughts shifted to Son Goku and Vegeta. He couldn't help but wonder if this was right. Despite being able to feel their spirits and encouragement to go forward, he questioned if his existence was a valid one. He felt something was off even if the families and friends supported and understood. The troubled warrior bit the flesh inside his mouth and glared at the passing cloud until he heard footsteps from behind.

"Hmph. Looks like even the strongest warrior in the universe can be troubled by something."

Vegito cracked a faint snicker as the tall Namekian approached him. "Piccolo. Tell me, how did it feel for you when you merged with Nail and Kami?" The Saiyan stared up front while Piccolo stood behind him.

"I see... The methods might be different, but I can tell you it felt strange. Sometimes, I felt like I wasn't myself and thought it would drastically change me... However, after reflecting on it by meditating, I realized I was overthinking it and felt more in touch with who I am."

The fused warrior remained quiet and only responded with a nod. Piccolo could tell the Saiyan was bothered by how he came to life and what it cost. The Namekian closed his eyes for a second and continued to talk.

"Don't let the doubts cloud your mind. You are a person created by a fusion of two souls. You are a unique and powerful warrior with a mind of your own, a soul that belongs only to you. What's left of them is their spirits that will always be there to support you."

Piccolo got closer and put a hand on the warrior's shoulder. "You have the ferocity and brutality of Vegeta, as well as the kindness and curiousness of Son Goku. You have both pride and humility. Vegito, embrace who you are and keep pushing yourself to new heights; it's what they would've wanted... You know that, right?" The Namekian smiled as he heard the Saiyan chuckle.

Vegito rose from the ground and faced the supportive Namekian. "Thanks, Piccolo. You don't mind if I stay here for a night?" The two warriors started to walk toward the temple where Dende awaited them.

"The one you should ask for permission is Dende, not me. I was thinking of finding a place of my own."

Vegito nodded and, with Piccolo and Dende, entered the temple. They walked to the dining room, where Mr. Popo prepared a large dinner for the starving Saiyan. For now, the fusion of Son Goku and Vegeta has put aside the troubled thoughts and, for the first time, enjoyed a good meal.

.

A short man ran through the forest under the night sky on the galaxy's edge. Sweat blew off his face as he ducked under the branch as he rushed somewhere. The bang that hovered over his forehead swayed with each movement as he leaped over the river. As he landed, the young man clad in battle armor grunted as he continued to run.

After what seemed like hours, he finally reached his destination. He emerged from the forest and leaped over a small hill. Once he landed, he lifted his head and dashed toward the nearby cave. With a frantic look in his eyes, the flame-haired man suddenly shouted.

"Gure! Gure! Are you still here!?"

He raised his hand and created a small orb out of his energy so he could see. His pupils trembled, fearing the worst until he saw a small person hiding behind a rock.

"Oh, there you are! I'm so glad you're alright!"

The man rushed over to the pale person and hugged Gure, who couldn't stop weeping. "I'm sorry, Gure. It's all my fault! If I had never landed here, your friends, family, and entire species would still be alive! I-I'm so sorry!" Tears slid down the man's cheeks as he held tightly onto Gure, who cried as well.

"It's not your fault, dear! Please, don't blame yourself for what those evil people did!"

The black-haired man nodded but couldn't fully accept that. However, he couldn't dwell on it for far too long. "Come! We have little time to leave our home and head elsewhere!" He stood up and picked up Gure, who was startled by the sudden movement.

"B-But where will we go? Won't the bad guys chase after us?"

He remained silent as he got out of the cave while carrying Gure. "I'm counting on them to follow us. However, that's going to be their biggest mistake. As for where we are going, it's a world called Earth, and supposedly, my older brother lives there." A drop of sweat rolled down his temple as he hoped his brother would listen to him and help him deal with the enemies chasing him and his wife.
