From Marucho's house everyone was happy with the return of their old friend Alice. They were sitting in the living room celebrating.
"Alice, I'm very happy to see you again." said Marucho drinking from a glass of lemonade.
Kato handed a glass of the same drink to Alice.
"I feel the same way." Alicia responded.
"And how is your grandfather?" Shun asked.
"My grandfather plans to continue his research here but decided to send me here first." Alicia answered.
"If you want, you can stay at my house, there is plenty of space." Marucho proposed.
"Really? Thank you very much," he thanked Alice. "By the way, Hydranoid didn't come with you?"
Alice wonders looking at Tigrerra and Gorem.
"Well... he's busy in Vestroia," Tigrerra replied.
"I see," said Alice, understanding the situation. "I feel a little tired, I think I should get some sleep."
"In that case, let me take you to your room," Kato offered.
After Alice left, Dan and Drago looked at the two bakugan.
"You mean Hydranoid is busy?" Dan asked.
Tigrerra and Gorem looked at each other and then at the others.
"He's busy training," Gorem replied.
"Since the Vexos incident, Hydranoide realized how weak it was in comparison to the enemy," Tigrerra explained.
"His fight against the mechanical bakugan Hades was one of the factors," Gorem added.
"When we asked him if he wanted to come with us, he said he would come to Earth when he is strong enough for Alice and capable of matching Drago." added Tigrerra.
Everyone understood.
"I understand how you feel," Shun said. "In the past he used to be one of the most powerful bakugans and currently he doesn't compare to Drago."
"Besides, losing against Shadow Prove and Hades must have hurt his pride." Mira said.
"If that is your wish, then so be it." Dan spoke. "I also wish that Hydranoide continues training, so we can face each other one day."
"I will be looking forward to that moment," said Drago.
"But I'm worried about Alice, she seemed to miss Hydranoide," Runo said worriedly.
In the room where Alice was staying, she was sitting on her bed looking at a photo that she had in her hand, in that photo was her and Hydranoide.
"I really miss you... I hope you're happy." Alice said with a sad smile.
Unbeknownst to her, she was being watched by a Genesis spy drone that was transmitting everything to her office screen.
"It's incredible to believe that a girl has been your champion in the past." said Echidna interested.
"She and her bakugan were... until they betrayed me and joined the Dragonoid." Naga complained
"And if she's so good, she can still be useful." Echidna said, leaving Genesis and Naga confused.
"What do you mean?" Genesis asked curiously.
"Not only do I have the power to locate Furies... I can do much more," said Echidna as her red eyes glowed sinisterly.
In the room where Alice was, she had fallen asleep from the fatigue of the trip until...
"Alice..." a voice was heard that seemed to call her. "Alice... Alice"
Hearing someone calling her, Alice woke up still sleepy. He sat on his bed and looked around the room looking for where the voice was coming from but there was no one there.
"I think I need to rest a little more," Alice said to herself.
But then...
"Alice..."
The named one shuddered, she had not realized it the first time due to sleep but now she realized that that voice was like hers...
"Who's there?" Alice asked fearfully.
Then he noticed the dresser in the room. The dressing table was made of expensive wood that was attached to a square mirror.
Alice approached the dresser because she thought she heard that voice from there, although she only saw her reflection.
"How strange..." she said to herself.
When she wanted to go back to her bed, she felt something grab her arm very tightly... Alice turned to see what was grabbing her and saw with horror that it was the hand of her reflection that had gone through the mirror.
"Alice, I have something to show you." Her reflection said with a smile but her eyes were red and the background had become dark and distorted.
Alice let out a loud scream that was heard by her friends.
Soon, Dan opened the door roughly and behind him were everyone else.
"Alice! What-" Dan couldn't finish the question due to the shock of what he saw.
From the torso up Alice's body was being absorbed by the vanity mirror. Dan tried to grab Alice's leg but it was too late, the mirror had completely absorbed Alice and returned to being a normal mirror.
"Alice!" Dan shouted excitedly, hitting the dresser.
"Did that mirror devour Alice? Since when do mirrors devour humans?" Radizen asked from Marucho's shoulder, full of alteration.
At that Roxtor approaches him moaning.
"I'm being paranoid?" Radizen said offended. "My reaction is very normal, and why are you so calm? Do you care, Alice?"
"Enough, both of you." Marucho silenced them, then looking at Dan. "Dan, calm down."
Dan stops from hitting the dresser.
"How can I rest easy knowing that it took Alice away?" Dan claimed.
Then Drago spoke.
"Dan..., I know you're worried, we all are, but hitting the dresser won't bring her back." Drago tried to calm him down. "we'll think of something"
Dan nods still worried about Alice.
At the same time, as soon as Alice crossed the mirror, her reflection disappeared and she began to fall into what seemed like a tunnel full of mirrors in the walls of blurred dark colors. It looked like it would never land until it landed on a floor of gray-purple and black checkered flagstones.
"Ouch..." Alice complained about the fall.
She got up in pain and dusted herself off. She looked around fearfully, fearing that he was no longer in her world.
"Hello? Anyone here?" Alice shouted, hoping someone could help her.
She moved forward, repeating the questions, crossing the path that had several mirrors on the walls, without realizing that something was following her.
Alice stopped to rest because she didn't know how much time had passed since she arrived.
"This passage seems to have no end," Alice said tiredly.
Tired, she decides to sit on the floor and think about what to do.
"Don't you know how to do anything?" A mocking voice was heard behind her, identical to hers.
Alice quickly got up and turned to see who it was that was making fun, she could see that it was her reflection again.
"You..." Alice was afraid but determined to confront that reflection. "You brought me here! Return me to my world with my friends!"
"Impossible," responded his reflection, cheekily placing his hand on his cheek. "Someone like you can't come back"
"How?" Alice asked without understanding.
"As if you really belonged to their group." spoke another reflection with crossed arms from another mirror.
"You always act like the good girl, don't you get tired of pretending?" a third reflex asked her maliciously.
Now Alice was surrounded by three reflections of herself that only judged her.
"What do they want from me?" Alice demanded to know.
"What more can you offer me?" A new voice spoke, but it wasn't Alice's, it was a strange and feminine voice.
Alice turned and saw a giant mirror that showed a large, deformed black silhouette that seemed to be that of a woman but with the lower part of a snake.
"Who are you?" Alice asked, stepping back a little.
"I am your new owner," the creature responded.
"Owner? First of all, where am I? What do you want from me?" Alice asked while on guard.
"You are in a dimension that was created based on mirrors... Some humans believe that reflections connect with other worlds and they are not wrong. For my part, I can control it," the creature responded.
With a wave of his hand, the creature caused the mirrors in the place to begin showing every location on Earth from a mirror's perspective.
At that Alice saw her friends through a mirror.
"Dan!" Alice shouted as she ran towards that mirror, starting to hit it in the hope that they would hear her. "Guys, I'm here! Help!"
However, on the other hand, no one was listening to her.
"I finished analyzing but there is nothing out of the ordinary," Mira said after passing a detector through the dresser. "This is a normal piece of furniture."
"What's normal about a piece of furniture that absorbs people?" Shun asked while standing with his arms crossed.
"A haunted piece of furniture!" answered Radizen in a dark way, earning blank stares from everyone. "What? It's a possibility."
Roxtor approaches Radizen hitting him a little and starts complaining.
"Genius, what explanation do you have?" Radizen spoke, very annoyed.
So both of them started fighting.
On the other side of the mirror Alice was still shouting to get his attention.
"It's useless, no one can hear you here," the creature spoke. "The best thing for you is to accept being loyal to me."
Alice turned terrified towards the creature.
"what did you say?"
"I know who you were, before you were the most powerful and feared Fighter 'Masquerade'" said the creature
Alice gasped, she didn't think anyone else knew she was Masquerade.
"I'm no longer Masquerade," Alice said firmly.
"And that's why you give up battles and choose to be a coward?" a reflection asked maliciously.
"You're so pathetic," another reflection mocked.
"Maybe that's why Hydranoid doesn't want to see you." said another reflection.
"Shut up!" Alice shouted tiredly before running away.
But as he continued to flee, his reflexes increased and his torment worsened.
"HELP!" Alice screamed desperately, still running as tears welled up in her eyes.
What she didn't know was that her call was heard by someone.
Alice ended up tripping and falling to her knees. In front of her appears the mirror where the creature was shown.
"Are you done yet?" the creature asked. "There is no way for you to escape so give up and become my partner."
"Partner?" Alice looked up. "So you're a bakugan?"
"precisely," the bakugan stated. "and you Alice, I'm going to make you my partner and give you the power that will make you superior once again."
At the bottom of the mirror the image of Masquerade was displayed.
"No!" Alice shouted, wanting to run in the opposite direction.
But something grabbed her by her hands, she saw that they were long green snakes that were dragging her towards the mirror. He was now two meters away.
"Resisting is useless, accept your fate." said the bakugan.
Alice was still resisting being dragged but she wasn't strong enough to move away. Now that he was a meter away from the mirror, his hope began to fade and he thought about giving up.
"Guys... I'm sorry..." Alice said, closing her eyes ready to accept her fate.
Before he enters the mirror. The ceiling shattered like glass and three purple orbs destroyed the mirror as a result of which the snakes disappeared.
Alice fell back without understanding what had happened.
"It's been a long time, Alice." said a new voice that Alice knew perfectly well.
He looked up and saw his former bakugan partner Hydranoide.
"Hydranoid... it's really you," Alice said as she cried with happiness.
"damn," the mysterious bakugan cursed as he emerged from the pieces of the mirror. "you're going to die."
In that instant it turned into a deformed black snake that seemed to be made of smoke. She headbutted Hydranoide and caught Alice with her tail.
"Release her!" Hydranoid roared furiously.
The snake began to wrap around Hydranoide with great force and bit him in the middle of the neck.
Hydranoid roared in pain while Alice didn't know what to do.
"Hydranoid!" Alice shouted, looking at the other bakugan. "Please stop!"
But the snake was determined to finish him off. With effort, Alice manages to free herself from the tail's grip and grabs a piece of the broken mirror glass and forcefully stabs it into the snake's tail.
The snake screams in pain, stopping biting Hydranoide. The snake looks at its tail seeing Alice ready to stab it again.
"Let Hydranoid go!" Alice demanded.
"Alice... run away," Hydranoid said with difficulty.
"I'm not going to run away and abandon you," Alice said with determination. "You're going through this because of me... to help me, that's why I'm not going to leave your side!"
Just when the snake was about to give the final blow to Hydranoide, from the hole in the ceiling that Hydranoide made when he arrived, a purple light with the Darkus symbol quickly crossed and collided with Hydranoide's body.
The snake instinctively lets go and lets Alice fall. Just then the light disappears revealing Hydranoid in dark purple armor with glowing gray edges.
"Hydranoid..." Alice said in amazement.
At that new cards of power appear in front of her.
"power cards..." said Alice.
"Alice." I call it Hydranoid
Alice nodded and grabbed a power of attorney.
"Tesla darkus," Alice said, activating the power card.
Hydranoide's body becomes covered in dark electricity and the three heads fire three bolts of darkus electrical energy at the snake.
The attack caused great damage but did not knock the snake down. It launched itself towards Hydranoid but Alice reacted first.
"not so fast, power activated 'Black mist!'"
Hydranoide's body turned into smoke before the snake reached him and then ended up passing through him harmlessly.
"Power activated 'Noctis Triad'"
Hydranoid's eyes shine brightly, each head shoots a purple beam that turns into a head and hits the snake, destroying it.
"We won..." Alice said, breathing tiredly.
Just then a mirror begins to shine, Alice approaches and sees that it was the mirror on the dressing table.
"It seems to be a way out," said Hydranoide.
Alice nods.
On the other side, Dan was already desperate.
"This is annoying!" Dan shouted. "We've been here for three hours and no progress so far!"
"Calm down, Dan." Shun tried to calm him down but he remained serious about the matter.
"Yes, calm down," Runo said annoyed.
"That's all, Alice is not going to get out of that mirror that easy." Dan said more frustrated.
At that moment, the mirror shines and Alice comes out of it, falling once out and holding something in her hands.
"Alice!" everyone shouts, surprised and happy to see her.
"I've had a lot of falls today," Alice said, getting up.
"Alice!" Julie hugs her. "You had us very worried, even Dan wanted to break the dresser."
"I see she hasn't changed," Hydranoide said, reaching Alice's shoulder.
"Hydranoid!" everyone said in surprise.
"Now I don't understand anything," said Marucho, scratching his head. "Was he also inside the mirror?"
"I also wonder how you got there," Alice asked, looking at Hydranoide.
"When I was training in Vestroia, I thought I heard your voice Alice," Hydranoide responded.
"my voice?"
"Yes, that's when I saw you in the reflection of a nearby lake and then I heard Exedra..."
When Hydranoide mentioned Exedra, everyone gasped in surprise.
"Your partner is in danger... are you willing to save her?"
"I accepted and jumped directly into the lake, thus reaching that strange dimension and managing to save you in time." Hydranoide finished explaining
Alice cried with happiness and brought Hydranoid to her forehead.
"Thank you Hydranoid... I thought you didn't want to see me because I was weak..."
"Weak? I was the one who thought I was weak, that's why I trained all this time to be a suitable partner for you." Hydranoid replied
"You mean?" Alice looked at him.
"I don't want to interrupt this touching moment, but what happened in there?" Julie asked impatiently.
"It's a long story," Alice said before explaining.
At the same time in the Genesis office. Echidna was furious.
"Damn Bakugan... everything was going well until his appearance..." Echidna complained.
"This time it was a 'Darkus Armor'" Genesis said to himself. "This is getting more and more interesting."
