Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS: Reaper of Hanoi
Disclaimer: I do not own Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS, its characters, or any other content that may be traced to other sources found in this story. I do own the OCs and the story itself. Last time on Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS, after obtaining the backdoor to SOL Technologies from Grim Reaper, Playmaker entered to find the truth from ten years ago however the young Knight of Hanoi wasn't finished yet bringing along the crazed Data Ghost, Hanoi's last resort. How will Playmaker overcome this dangerous enemy?

Chapter 4: Prelude to War
Playmaker glared at Data Ghost while said knight just gave a mocking and deranged grin as the others watched.
"Do you think Playmaker can win?" asked Blue Angel
"Can't say." Said Ghost Girl, "As we have just seen this is no ordinary opponent." Staring at Zaizen's unconscious form. "Not to mention there's that red eyed brat to deal with."
Meanwhile, Grim Reaper approached the data core. "Sorry Playmaker but I'm not taking any chances here." He said reaching for the core, but his arm was snagged by a whip made of blue light. He turned to see Blue Angel.
"Don't think I'll let you just do what you want." She said
"Tch. Annoying idol." Reaper said before using his free hand to materialize a blade of red light to cut his arm free.
"Don't you have some concert to do or autographs to sign instead of interfering with other people's business." Grim Reaper said rhetorically
"No, aren't you out past your bedtime." Blue Angel said back
"Cute. But you should learn when to shut your mouth little angel." Reaper said in a murderous tone, before his arms were enveloped in red light taking the shape of razor-sharp claws. "Better yet, why don't I shut it for you!" The boy said before lunging at Blue Angel however a transparent wall of codes blocked and boxed him in.
Data Ghost then laughed, "Temper, temper. As amusing as a battle of the younger siblings would be, you going on one of your little tantrums isn't allowed Reaper." He said in a mocking tone
"Battle of the younger siblings? What is he talking about?" thought Playmaker, "Just for a second, Reaper had a different atmosphere than before."
Reaper then used his data claws the tear through the wall, "Fine."
"Now then back to business." Data Ghost said turning back to Playmaker "Just to show you how high the stakes for this duel is I'll give a little spoiler of what you'll find in the data if you win."
"Spoiler?" Playmaker asked
"Yes, within the data contains the identity of the one in charge of Lost Incident." This statement led to everyone to have a very shocked. "Of course for some here I think its true name is more appropriate, I'm assuming the name Hanoi Project rings a bell Playmaker." Data Ghost continued in a mocking tone.
"Hanoi, as in the Knights of Hanoi." Blue Angel said to herself looking at Grim Reaper who clearly did not like Data Ghost saying that.
"The mastermind of the project." Kusanagi said as an image of his brother flashed in his mind "Jin"
"Data Ghost, who is it!" Playmaker said with fire in his voice demanding the answer
"You want answers than you have to win and on that note let's begin." Data Ghost fell off the edge, landing on a Data Storm with a green board to stand on.
"Uh we're not actually following him right, Playmaker?" AI asked nervously, but instead of a response Playmaker then jumped off the edge to follow.
"Data Ghost I will defeat you." Playmaker declared
Data Ghost grinned, "Bring it on, Playmaker!" The currents of the Data Storm became violent as their surroundings became distorted.
A digital tunnel is shown with a glimpse of the Millennium Eye until it was replaced a duel disk attached to a blue shadowed Playmaker, then multi-colored birds flew into the tunnel as the title showed.
(Continuously running across the universe)
The sun shined then showed Yusaku walking and Naoki running toward him with a wave.
(At the speed of light.)

Go Onizuka in a grey hoodie on a bridge with cars and school buses.
(Open the door of dreams.)
Changes to Aoi Zaizen turning away from watching the sunset, Kusanagi eating a hot dog in his van, and Akira Zaizen leaning on his car at night.

Yusaku stand in the middle of town with lights around him shining brightly.

Changes to a white background showing AI coming toward, a young Yusaku, a duel disk from Playmaker activate before the word INTO THE VRAINS showed.

Playmaker appear in LINK VRAINS on his D-Board before drawing his cards, Decode Talker and Firewall Dragon floating alongside Yusaku. Before flash glimpses of Specter and an army of Hanoi Knights to Revolver and Grim Reaper back to back.

A glimpse of Topologic Bomber Dragon appears then changed to a data storm expanding as Playmaker rides.

Blue Angel twirls around as her three Trickstar monsters stood behind her, Go Onizuka riding his D-Board with his two Gouki monsters.
(No matter when,)

Emma jumps off her motorcycle before transforming into her VRAINS alter ego. A pillar of fire revealing Perdition Crisis Dragon, Grim Reaper was in front of it as their dragon let loose a stream of fire.
(Strive for hope,)

Playmaker draws a card, Revolver orders Borreload Dragon to attack and clashes with Decode Talker.
(Oh Yeah!)
Shows Yusaku's Cyberse monsters, then shows Playmaker and Revolver ride on their D-Boards along with Grim Reaper, Go Onizuka, and Blue Angel before disappearing into various colored lights before changing into a bird flying up the skies.

"I hope you're more of a challenge than your friend was Playmaker." Data Ghost said in a mocking tone "Or else you'll be losing everything."
"Zaizen fought hard to stop this guy but he was countered every single turn. I should precede with caution. But what did he mean before? Could Grim Reaper have familial ties among the Knights of Hanoi." Yusaku thought, "Thinking back to when we first met, he gave a hostile reaction when Ai brought up Revolver's defeat. However, for now I must focus on this duel and this opponent, I cannot afford to be distracted the answers I seek are right in front of me."
"Oi, Playmaker focus." Said Ai
"Speaking of distractions. I know."
"Let's get started shall we!" said Data Ghost
SPEED DUEL!
Playmaker: (LP: 4000) (hand: 4) (field: 0)
Data Ghost: (LP: 4000) (hand: 4) (field: 0)
"I have first move." said Playmaker as he looked at his cards, "Probably best to start slow and see what he does."
"I summon Cyberse Wizard." A young man in cybernetic wizard outfit appeared. "Turn end."
Cyberse Wizard: (LVL 4/LIGHT/CYBERSE/ATK 1800/DEF 800)
Data Ghost asked, "Is that it? I expected more from the one that defeated Reaper and Revolver. My turn. Since you control more monsters than I do, I can special summon A.A. G Wizard from my hand!" A mage with the letter 'G' hovering over their head appeared.
A.A. G Wizard: (LVL 6/LIGHT/SPELLCASTER/ATK 2100/DEF 0)
Data Ghost continued, "Next, I normal summon A.A. E Eel!" An eel with stripped patterns appeared, the letter 'E' appearing over its head.
A.A. E Eell: (LVL 4/WATER/FISH/ATK 1000/DEF 500)
Data Ghost laughed, "Appear, my circuit of codes! Summoning conditions are two A.A. monsters! I set G Wizard and E Eel as the link arrows!" The two monsters crashed into the bottom left arrow and right arrow.
"He didn't waste any time." said Ai
Data Ghost shouts, "Link Summon! Appear, Link 2, Alternate Line Trigger!" A rift opened, before a robot gunslinger appeared, an 'ALT' appearing above its head.
Alternate Line Trigger: (LINK 2/EARTH/MACHINE/LINK/ATK 1200/Arrows: Bottom-left, Right)
"That monster is too weak to defeat Cyberse Wizard, what's he up to?" said AI
Data Ghost grinned, "I activate Alternate Line Trigger's effect! Once per turn, by forfeiting its attack for the battle phase, I can take control of a monster you control with the lowest ATK! Since Cyberse Wizard is alone, I can only choose 1 monster!"
"So, he's stealing monsters again." Said AI
"Thought he'd try that." Playmaker remarked in his head
Data Ghost shouted, "Appear, my circuit of codes! Summoning conditions are at least 2 monsters with less than 2000 ATK! I set Cyberse Wizard and the link 2 Alternate Line Trigger as the link markers! Circuits combine!" The circuit appeared, the right, left, and top right arrows glowing. "Link Summon! Appear, Con-Troll!" An orc dressed in a suit and fedora appeared, the letters 'CTRL' appearing over its head.
Con-Trol: (LINK 3/EARTH/FIEND/LINK/ATK 2300/Arrows: Left, Right, Top-Right)
"That's a random looking monster." said Reaper
"So, judging from the stink eye you were giving Ghost early you're not too happy with him name dropping the Hanoi Project." asked Ghost Girl
"To be completely honest anything Playmaker would learn here won't be a hindrance to us now. I just came here with the goal of eliminating him." Reaper answered
"When Playmaker and Revolver dueled, he mentioned an incident ten years ago and Revolver seemed to know what he was talking about. Now it all makes sense, it was the Lost Incident or rather the Hanoi Project. Care to elaborate." Zaizen said waking up
"Oh, you're alive great." Reaper said rolling his eyes
"Brother don't push yourself."
"Answer the question Grim Reaper." Zaizen said
"We have reason to believe that Playmaker is one of the six children that vanished ten years ago. It was an event known as the Lost Incident. Six children were kidnapped and used as test subjects for a mysterious project related to dueling. Oddly enough all of them were the same age of six."
"That's horrible who would do that to children?" said Blue Angel
"Sorry but I'm not that nice to tell you. After all, SOL Technologies covered everything up."
"I remember Revolver mentioning that during his duel with Playmaker." Said Zaizen
"You want to know more look in the core yourself." Reaper replied before jumping on his D-board to follow the duel.
"So rude." Ghost Girl commented, "In the meantime let's see if there is anything left in the database that can tell us anything." She said walking to the core
Data Ghost glared at Playmaker, "Con-Troll cannot be destroyed in battle when there's a monster with a level in your graveyard. I set a card. Battle! Con-Troll, attacked Playmaker Directly!"
Playmaker: (LP: 4000-2300=1700)
Data Ghost finished, "Turn End. At this moment, the maintenance cost of Con-Troll activates, returning your Cyberse Wizard to the top of your deck."
"So now he's stacking the deck against me. My turn draw! I summon Cyberse Wizard again and since you have an extra zone monster, I can special summon Backlinker." A small robotic dragon appeared. "With its effect, I can tribute it to send Con-Troll to the graveyard."
"How annoying." Data Ghost remarked as his monster disappeared
Backlinker: (DARK/CYBERSE/LVL 3/ATK: 1600/DEF: 0)
"I activate Cynet Draw and send one Cyberse monster in my hand to the graveyard and draw 2 cards. Next, I banish 2 Cyberse monsters in my graveyard to summon Dual Assembwurm. Next, I activate the banished Dimension Gadget's effect allowing me to summon Stack Reviver from my deck. Appear! The circuit that leads to the future." A circuit appeared in front of Playmaker, "Arrowheads, confirmed! The summoning conditions are at least 2 or more effect monsters! I set Stack Reviver, Dual Assembwurm and Cyberse Wizard in the Link Markers!" Playmaker's three Cyberse monsters flew toward the top, bottom-left, and bottom-right markers, glowing red. "Circuit Combine! Link Summon! Appear, Link 3! Encode Talker!" Digital data started pulling themselves together as they materialized into a warrior with light blue armor and yellow outlines along with a shield. The warrior let out a battle cry as it left the Link Gate.
Dimension Gadget: (DARK/CYBERSE/LVL 3/ATK: 900/DEF: 1600)
Dual Assembwurm: (DARK/CYBERSE/LVL 8/ATK: 2800-1400/DEF: 1000-500)
Stack Reviver: (DARK/CYBERSE/LVL 2/ATK: 100/DEF: 600)
Encode Talker: (LINK 3/LIGHT/CYBERSE/LINK/ATK: 2300/ARROWS: Up, Down, Down-Right)
"And with Stack Reviver's effect Cyberse Wizard revives in defense mode."
Data Ghost's eyes glowed red briefly before blinking green as he grinned, "Data collected."
"Battle! Encode Talker will now attack you directly"
Data Ghost shouted, "I activate the trap Escape Route! By returning G Wizard in my graveyard to the bottom of my deck, this negates the attack and ends the battle phase!"
"Turn End."
Playmaker: (LP: 1700) (hand: 3) (field: 2)
Data Ghost: (LP: 4000) (hand: 2) (field: 0)
"Not bad Playmaker, I'm going to enjoy eating your data. What I got from the incident was bitter in taste."
Playmaker gave a look of shock and disdain, "You know about the incident. Were you there as well!?"
"Oh no, I just ate some leftover data."
"What are you anyway?" asked A.I
Data Ghost giggled, "That's something I want to know myself. But enough talk, my turn draw!"
Data Ghost grinned, "My turn, I draw! I activate the effect of A.A. E Eel from my graveyard! If I control no monsters, I can special summon it from my graveyard! However, it's banished when it leaves the field." The eel reappeared. "Next, I normal summon Gale Dogra!" a small winged insect monster then appeared.
Gale Dogra: (EARTH/INSCET/LVL 2/ATK: 650/DEF: 600)
"That's not an A.A card, what does Data Ghost plan to do with that?" said Reaper who had caught up to the duelists, "It's a pretty old card too."
Data Ghost declared, "Gale Dogra's effect! By paying 3000 life points, I can send Delete Reaper from my extra deck to my graveyard!"
Data Ghost: (LP: 4000-3000=1000)
"Delete Reaper. That's the card that defeated Zaizen. Why does he want it in the graveyard?" thought Playmaker
Data Ghost grinned as he went to a Data Storm, "I activate the spell Ctrl, Alt, Delete! This card can only be activated when the monsters Con-Troll, Alternate Line Trigger, and Delete Reaper are all in my graveyard! Every other card on the field is banished! Then, I gain 1000 life points for every monster banished this way!"
"What!?" Playmaker said as the field was pulled into a void.
Data Ghost laughed as his life points rose to 5000. "Now, time for me to get serious! I activate the spell Recycled Circuit! By returning up to 4 Link monsters in my graveyard to my deck, I can Link Summon a link monster whose link is equal to the number of returned monsters! I return Alternate Line Trigger, Con-Troll, and Delete Reaper! Three monsters will now make my circuit of codes! "Data Ghost declares, "Link Summon! Appear, Link 3, T.A. Undertaker 2!" A cloaked ferryman appeared, the boat having the arrows incorporated into its design.
T.A. Undertaker 2: (LINK 3/DARK/FIEND/LINK/ATK 0/Arrows: Left, Right, Top-Right)
"0 ATK. That can't be good." Ai remarked
Data Ghost declared, "While I control Undertaker 2, I cannot link summon or attack directly with non-Link monsters. Also, during the end phase, if the only monster I control is Undertaker 2, then both my hand and field are all destroyed. That's why, I'm using Undertaker 2's effect! Once per turn, I can summon a link 3 or below monster from either players' banished zone!"
"Wait then that means."
Data Ghost grinned, "Come, Encode Talker!" The monster reappeared on Data Ghost's field, linked to Undertaker 2. "Just to let you know, while I control another monster, Undertaker 2 cannot be targeted for attacks."
"He took one of Playmaker's ace monsters." said Blue Angel
"If the attack lands it's over." said Reaper, "If he loses here then I guess Playmaker just isn't worth striving to beat."
"Seems this the end of the show, oh well. Battle! Encode Talker, attack Playmaker directly!"
"I activate Lockout Gardna's effect to special summon it to the field in ATK position and it can't be destroyed in battle this turn."
Lockout Gardna: (LVL 3/EARTH/CYBERSE/ATK 1000/DEF 1000)
"But where's the fun in that? I use my Skill! Requiem of Codes! This negates the effects of all monsters currently on the field for this turn! "Encode Talker! Redirect your attack to Lockout Gardna!" Data Ghost shouts, white binary codes appeared, streaming about as Encode Talker destroys Playmaker's monster.
Playmaker: LP 1700-1300=400
Data Ghost grinned, "Now, Playmaker, I hope you have a backup plan! Remember your identity is on the line here. So no pressure your next will only determine the rest of your life." The jester said before laughing
"Even so, you're going down!"
A data storm then appeared.
Revolver is seen watching the duel from base, "Sorry Father but keeping this individual will cause more problems than it will solve. Besides I can't risk that Ignis collecting any data Data Ghost might be holding on to." He said as he released a data card into the air.
A golden data card then appeared before Grim Reaper. "What the?"
"Reaper can you hear me?" Revolver said appearing on a small screen above Reaper's arm
Reaper. "What is it?"
"Throw that card into the data storm." said Revolver
"What, why?"
"That's an order." Revolver said in firm tone
"Alright." Reaper said speeding up his D-board
The two duelists then rode inside the data storm, after they entered Grim Reaper soon followed, "Wait a minute this card, isn't it? Well brother, so you're deciding to thin the herd then." Reaper said before throwing the card within the winds.
"Draw a comeback card Playmaker." Said AI
"Storm Access!" As Playmaker activated his skill the light of the data card Reaper threw appeared before him.
The duelists then exited the data storm.
"So, you got a new card, did you? No matter what you do I will delete you!" said Data Ghost
"Data Ghost why do you fight for Hanoi?" said Playmaker
"I mainly just fight for them because I get cause mayhem in the network and eat all the data I wish. Those are the things that give me pleasure. For someone who only exists in the network the screams of his victims are something that never gets old." Data Ghost said with a sadistic grin, "You know how I always talk of deleting. Well when I eat someone's data, I purge their minds. Leaving them as hollow shells with no personality or independent thoughts, real world or otherwise."
"Destroying people's lives gives you pleasure! You're sick!" A.I said in anger
"Your evil." Playmaker remarked
Data Ghost sighs and looks ahead, asking, "Then answer me this, Playmaker. What qualifies as 'right' and what qualifies as 'wrong'?"
"Don't try and justify the atrocities you commit for your sick sense of enjoyment!" Playmaker proclaimed
"Then come, Playmaker! Show me your resolve!"
Playmaker: (LP: 400) (hand: 2) (field: 0)
Data Ghost: (LP: 5000) (hand: 0) (field: 2)
"My Turn DRAW! First since I don't control any monsters, I can special summon Linkslayer." A warrior in golden cybernetic armor appeared "Next I activate the spell Link Hacking! Now by sacrificing Linkslayer, I can select one link monster on your field and take control of it so long as it is the same type as the tributed monster. I choose Encode Talker."
"WHAT!?" Data Ghost exclaimed as Encode returned to Playmaker
"Now I activate the spell Cynet Offering, with its effect I can tribute one Cyberse link monster I control in order to summon Cyberse monsters with different levels from my GY in DEF mode equal to the tribute monster's link rating with their effects negated. So, in exchange for Encode Talker; I summon back Stack Reviver, Dual Assembwurm, and Linkslayer." Encode Talker vanished and the three listed monsters appeared in its place.
"Appear! The circuit that leads to the future." A circuit appeared in front of Playmaker, "Arrowheads, confirmed! The summoning conditions are 3 monsters! I set Stack Reviver, Dual Assembwurm, and Linkslayer in the Link Markers!" Playmaker's three monster flew toward the top, bottom, and bottom-right markers, glowing red. "Circuit Combine! Link Summon! Appear, Link 3 Virus Breath Dragon!" A black robotic dragon with golden highlights appeared. It had large wings, four arms and yellow orbs scattered around its body.
Virus Breath Dragon: (LINK 3/DARK/CYBERSE/LINK/ATK: 2000/ARROWS: Up, Left, Down-Right)
"So, you have a new monster so what, I have 5000 LP. Meaning I'll survive the battle and when my Undertaker 2 gets destroyed you take 800 points of damage which is more than enough to drop you from 400 to 0. So, you can either attack and lose right now or wait for me TO SIMPLY RAM MY MONSTER INTO YOURS!" Data Ghost said sounding increasingly deranged.
"Then I'll simply end this in one attack." Playmaker said getting Data Ghosts attention
"WHAT ARE YOU ON ABOUT. HAHAHA! YOUR MONSTER ISN'T STRONG ENOUGH. JUST FACE IT YOUR DATA IS MINE!"
"Can you just shut him up now." Ai commented
"It's true there is a huge LP gap between us Data Ghost but that is why I will win. With VirusBreathDragon's effect, it gains ATK equal to the difference in our Life Points." Playmaker explained
"IMPOSSIBLE!?" Data Ghost said clutch his head with a maddened look.
Virus Breath Dragon: (ATK: 2000+4600=6600)
"6600 ATK! HAHAHAHAHA! MARVELOUS! SIMPLY MARVELOUS! SO, THIS IS THE POWER OF YOUR RESOLVE. COME ON THEN PLAYMAKER!" Data Ghost screamed psychotically
"BATTLE! VIRUS BREATH DRAGON ATTACK T.A. UNDERTAKER 2! VIRAL EXTERMINATION!" Playmaker's monster fired a purple ray of light that went right through Data Ghost's monster and struck him. The resulting explosion knocked Data Ghost into the data stream dissolving him as his crazed laughter faded into echo.
Data Ghost: (LP: 5000-6600=0)
"It's over." Playmaker said as he returned to where the data core was but not before crossing Grim Reaper again.
"I must say that was impressive Playmaker."
"You caused Virus Breath Dragon to appear in the data storm didn't you. Why?"
"Huh it was him!?" said Ai
"You'll have to ask Revolver about that. The data, or whatever is left it is yours for the taking, it's not a concern for us now anyway. But this is the last time you'll be using one of our cards" Reaper said before the Virus Breath Dragon card disappeared from Playmaker's disk.
"T-The card vanished." AI said
"Should have figured it was a one-time card." Playmaker remarked as Reaper rode off
"Shouldn't we go after him?" said AI
"No, there is no point now." Playmaker said riding in the other direction "When Reaper attacked Blue Angel it was almost like he was some kind of vicious beast. Does that mean he was holding back in our duel?"
Playmaker arrived back at the data core seeing Zaizen, Ghost Girl and Blue Angel standing in front of it.
"So what now, we gonna duke it out?" A.i asked while shadow boxing.
"I'm taking the data regardless of what you say Zaizen." Playmaker said in slightly stern voice
Zaizen sighed before speaking, "Very well Playmaker. I've already failed to stop the Knights of Hanoi and had to once again rely you to deal with said problem. If you want answers so badly I won't stop you." Zaizen then stood aside and let Playmaker pass. A.i then promptly went into the core, searched and ate all data he could find retaining to the incident.
Just as Playmaker was about to leave, "Before you go Playmaker I do have one last thing to say." Zaizen said prompting Playmaker to stop.
"I'm not going to pretend I understand what exactly the lost incident do to you. Ten years ago Aoi's and my parents were lost in a terrible accident and I did everything I could to provide for her, including some less than legal things. If someone took Aoi back then I doubt my heart could've taken it. So I do know what it means to suffer and fight for ones survival."
"And this is relevant how?" Ai questioned
"I'm just saying that you're not the only one that's haunted by the ghosts of their past, Playmaker. Just don't waste your whole life chasing revenge. You only have the one."
"Zaizen, while the words are appreciated, you said it yourself that you can't fully understand my plight because you didn't suffer the same thing I suffered. I must settle this matter, no one else." With that Playmaker logged out with Ghost Girl soon doing the same.
"In the end I couldn't do anything" Zaizen said
"I don't think that's true" Aoi said to him "If nothing else I understand a you bit better now." She continued with a smile.
-Meanwhile-
As Reaper arrived at Hanoi HQ, Revolver appeared in front of him.
"How did it go?"
"Playmaker won the duel and all the remaining data in SOL Technologies core is in his grasp. On top of that Data Ghost has been terminated. So you know not great. But of course you already know all that. Why did you help the enemy anyway? Not to mention have that card infect Data Ghost's avatar so he would be purged from the system permanently when he lost? You know Dad isn't going to be happy about this."
"I refuse to let that clown have the privilege of beating Playmaker and he was too dangerous to keep around anyway. Besides that, that certain side of your personality is all the crazy I can handle."
"Yeah about that, when will I finally be allowed go all out?"
"Patience my younger sibling, your time will come. In fact, I look forward to seeing you when you unleash everything you have on Playmaker." Revolver said as Grim Reaper's eyes then flashed red as he gave a bloodthirsty grin showing his sharp teeth like that of a beast.
"Don't worry brother, when the tower rises Link Vrains will become a battlefield of hellfire and the Ignis will burn." Reaper said manifesting a claw as if to make a statement.
"Looking forward to it. Only question now is, what shall we do for our declaration of war so that it gets our enemies' attention. It will be a while before we are ready for the endgame."
"Well I'll leave that up to you I'm logging out, I need some real world." Reaper said before logging out.
"So much like Mother." Said Revolver as an image of a white-haired woman flashed in his mind, "I need to remember to keep my other vow as well."
-Real World-
A flash of light is seen from behind a door, a thirteen-year-old girl with tanned skin then enters the main room. She has long messy white hair that ran down her back and blue eyes. She wore a black shirt with a red fox head pattern underneath a dark red hoodie with fox like ears, she also dark pair of pants and a dark-red pair of boots with white panels on the front that seemed to have wheels built in above the heel. On her left hand, she has a tattoo of a red triangle. The girl walked out to the patio to see a full moon.
"The battle for humanity's future will start soon. Those who stand in the way of Father's plan, will be burned to ash by me. Although, what he is planning to do could cause irreparable damage to society as we know it. And since Revolver is the leader of the Hanoi, he will receive full blame." The girl thought to herself, "There is still time. If I can capture Playmaker's Ignis before the tower is ready it may not be needed."
-A Few Days Later-
Yusaku and Kusanagi had the food truck parked by the ocean having slow business. Yusaku was glued to a laptop.
"Take a break you've been at that nonstop." Said Kusanagi "If Dr. Kogami the one in charge of the Hanoi Project is dead than what else is there to do."
"There must another lead out there." Said Yusaku, "By the way why are we all the way out here? You won't find any customers."
"This is a famous spot in Den City, Stardust Road."
"Stardust Road?"
"When luminescent plankton gather together at night the sea glows. It's very rare."
"I bet the people living in that building on the cliff have seen before." Kusangai said pointing at the building. As he did, he saw a white-haired girl wearing a red and white helmet with fox like ears coming towards them on roller blades.
"Told you we'd find customers here. Hey, kid want to buy a quick…" Kusanagi said but the girl simply zoomed past. "…meal?" he finished in dejected tone
"Well that was kind of rude." Kusanagi said, "Something wrong?" the man asked Yusaku who was staring in the direction the girl went
"I don't know why but I feel like I've seen that person before." Said Yusaku
-Den City Hospital-
The white-haired girl pulled up next to the hospital building where a woman with brown and orange hair, wearing a lab coat was outside waiting for her. As the girl stopped the wheels clicked into the back of her boots.
"Well now someone is certainly enjoying her roller boots ." The woman said in an amused tone as the girl took off her helmet.
"Always a pleasure Dr. Taki." The girl greeted
"And keep telling you that you don't have to so formal with me Mirei. You may call me Kyoko I don't mind. Regardless lets talk inside." With Kyoko led Mirei inside to her private office where the two promptly sat down on opposite sides of a desk.
"So this visit is a little out of the blue. Is something bothering you Mirei?"
"Kyoko I don't know if you've been made aware of this but Father and Brother have decided to go with their final contingency plan."
"The tower."
"Yes, if that happens Revolver will go down in history as the world's biggest cyber criminal and I rather that not happen." Mirei explained
"I see, to think they thought it necessary to go that far. So what to you want to do about it?" Kyoko inquired
"The way I see it the only purpose for the tower is destroy the Ignis held by Playmaker as well as the other 5 hiding in the network. However, if we can capture Playmaker's Ignis who hid the Cyberse World we can use its code to find the others like we did before."
"There's just one tiny flaw in that plan, a little issue called Playmaker. He was skilled enough to defeat Revolver after all and besides you'd have to find him first."
"That is why I'd like to enlist you, Faust and Dr. Genome in helping me draw him out."
" Draw him out how exactly?"
"We'll simply use a similar tactic we used before and take the Another virus off the shelf."
