A/N: Hey y'all how's it going out there? I wanted to take some space to send out a huge thanks to those of you who have taken the time to follow/fave/review. For those of you who are writers - I know you get it. For those of you who aren't - let me explain. This site is broken, irreparably it seems. For months, we writers have not been able to see our stats, so unless you take the time to take one of those 3 actions we have no idea if anyone is reading our stories or not and quite frankly, it's frustrating. I sincerely hope that they get this fixed, but the length of time it's been broken and the lack of communication from the site administrators makes me believe that this forum I once loved is soon going to be a thing of the past.

Morning Glory

The insistent buzzing of a cell phone pulled Lucy from a dreamless sleep, and she smiled as she awoke and recognized that the smooth, sexy warmth surrounding her was the unbelievably beautiful blonde who had so thoroughly violated her the night before. For the second night in a row. Luxuriating in the heavenly embrace, Lucy was reluctant to move even the few inches required to turn off the damn phone, and when Kate didn't stir she decided to just let it go to voicemail. Why the hell didn't I just turn it off last night? When the buzzing blessedly stopped with no indication that a message had been left she sighed in contentment and relaxed into the warm curves, smiling softly when, even in her sleep, Kate hummed in satisfaction and tightened her grip. The phone erupted again as Lucy's eyes drifted shut and, cursing, she sat up and rolled to grab it. Sliding out from under the arm that was possessively wrapped around her waist, she snatched the incessantly vibrating device and turned it off. She wasn't on call, and nothing else on earth mattered enough for her to sacrifice this last, precious morning with the irresistibly sexy and charming woman who had come into her life and so easily turned it upside down. As she silenced the phone and tossed it in the general direction of her gym bag she realized that this was the first chance she'd really had to look at the blonde without fear of making her uncomfortable, and she smiled as her eyes adjusted to the darkness and she thought back on that first time she'd caught Kate staring at her.

Looking back over her shoulder as she shivered in the chilly morning air, she tucked the sheet up under her arms and smiled softly at the blonde. Feeling like even the opposite side of the same bed was too far away, she turned back around and inched closer, allowing herself this rare opportunity to indulge in really looking at the magnificent vision of the woman sleeping beside her. My god, you're stunning. What the hell do you see in me? Brown eyes darkened with desire traveled hungrily across every exposed inch of gloriously suntanned skin, and her fingers itched to reach out and follow the trail her eyes had charted. She was practically drooling as her gaze ghosted across the golden skin of a bare shoulder, then down the toned back to the tempting swell of that sexy bottom, which disappeared beneath the sheet. Her eyes traveled back up across the sun browned skin and followed the smooth arch of a raised arm to see the soft swell of a breast peeking out, and she shivered in remembered pleasure as she studied the elegant hands and perfectly manicured fingers. A quick glance at the clock told her that they had about two hours before sunrise, and she trembled with restraint as she fought the urge to reach out and disturb the peacefully sleeping beauty.

Two nights, three days. Screw restraint. Reaching out with an unsteady hand, Lucy sweetly tucked a stray strand of hair behind a delicate ear. The moment her fingers connected with the silky soft locks she knew that she'd made a mistake, and unable to deny the temptation any longer, she cupped an exquisite cheek with the palm of her hand. Thumb softly stroking the full lower lip, she smiled in awe of the perfection beneath her fingertips. She trailed her fingers across the sun-kissed jawline, down along the curve of the elegant neck and across the velvety soft skin of an exposed shoulder. My god, you're perfection. Who feels this good? Who smells this good, even after a vigorous, sweaty sex-filled night? I can't stop touching you. I don't even want to try. Leaning in and placing a gentle kiss on the bare shoulder as her hand moved lower, Lucy was gratified when her gentle touch elicited a soft smile from the sleeping woman. When the blonde released a sexy moan and started to stir, a guilty Lucy pulled away, but to her delight she was pulled right back in by a hand on her wrist.

Sweet Dreams Are Made Of This

"Lucy wait," a breathless Kate called out from the center of a very large bed, "please don't go."

Smiling coyly over her shoulder, Lucy smiled and winked and said, "I'll see you soon."

"No!" Kate exclaimed, reaching for the elusive brunette who had vanished into thin air, "Please Lucy, I can't breathe without you."

The melodic sound of the tiny Texan's laughter invaded the silence, and from somewhere behind her Kate felt a tentative, exploratory touch moving across her naked flesh.

"Where are you my sweet?" Kate whispered, the fleeting touch setting her on fire even as the brunette remained mysteriously hidden from her view, each desperate turn eliciting that sexy chuckle as chocolate orbs darted in vain to land on the only woman who had ever made her feel truly alive.

"You're leaving."

Turning toward the sound of that beloved voice, Kate's eyes landed on the ethereal vision of Lucy in that sexy, sexy white dress.

"Not yet," Kate growled, launching herself across the bed and completely missing the brunette, who had dodged the lunge and was now leaning over top of her. "God, I'm going to miss this," Lucy drawled as she ran a finger across the warm skin of Kate's neck and shoulder, then wandered along her back, fingertips ghosting over the soft swell of her breast as soft lips pressed sweetly against the exposed skin. It felt real, so real, and Kate's body responded violently to the gentle caress. When Lucy backed away she reached to pull her in again, and capturing a wrist she pleaded, "Please baby, don't-" Wait, why did I catch you this time? That must mean -

Eyes flying open, Kate was ecstatic to find Lucy leaning in close, her wrist still in her grasp. Urging the brunette to fall into her embrace, she groaned in pleasure as every gloriously naked inch of Lucy's body collided with hers.

"Mmmm, morning," Kate smiled, her voice a sexy, gravelly whisper.

"Good morning," Lucy breathed as she settled in against the silky soft skin, "I'm sorry, did I wake you?"

Reveling in the feel of five feet, three inches of naked sleepy warmth on top of her, Kate buried her hands in thick black hair and nibbled along the strong jawline, whispering, "I'm really glad you did."

The throaty whisper and languorously roaming lips were too much for Lucy's overstimulated body, and she struggled for control as Kate's hands and mouth created the most sensational wake up call she'd ever experienced. The brunette was so turned on and so ready that a stiff breeze could have thrown her over the edge, and she groaned when she felt strong hands kneading her bottom and an insistent knee urging her legs apart. "Kate, don't, I-"

"God Lucy, you're so wet," Kate exclaimed when her thigh collided with the pulsing, dripping center, her voice a lower register than Lucy had ever heard it, "it's the hottest thing I've ever woken up to." As the words hit her ears the blonde's fingers hit her aching, quivering core, and she cried out as the intimate contact instantly threw her into a shuddering, shaking release. Oh my god, what have you done to me? How the hell did that just make me come so hard, so fast? I'm going to be a mess without you. Please don't leave.

Kate slid her hands up to embrace the intoxicating beauty who had just come undone under her loving touch, and inhaled deeply as she nuzzled into the hollow of Lucy's neck. "Hey," she whispered, loathe to break the contact but also thinking practically now that her travel day had arrived, "do you know what time it is?"

"Time?" A sex-stunned Lucy repeated, her brain not quite engaging with her mouth as she struggled to understand the question. You just blew my mind and your first thought is to ask me for the time? Who does that? Why do you need to - wait, what are you saying?

"I just, I can't see the clock and I really don't want you to move, but I also don't want to miss the sunrise, so..."

"We have about an hour and a half until sunrise," Lucy, brain finally engaging, replied.

"Ok good," Kate sighed. I just need to imprint this memory in my brain, the way that it feels to wake up to you, to have the weight of your sleepy warmth on top of me and be surrounded by your scent. God, wake up sex with you is hot. Everything about you is hot. How the hell am I going to leave you? Reaching for Lucy's hand, she raised it to her lips and sweetly kissed the fingertips. God I love these hands, love how these fingers feel inside of me. Steering the captive hand down between their bodies, she whispered, "Touch me," and groaned with pleasure as their joined hands slid into the warm silk between her thighs. "Harder," she whispered as she spread herself wider, her own fingers pushing Lucy's deeper into the pulsing heat. Reality shattered as Lucy complied, and Kate came undone under the brunette's eagerly thrusting, masterfully stroking fingertips.

"So," Lucy whispered as she luxuriated in the satiated blonde's embrace, "where did you hide the good snacks?"

The unexpected question had the desired effect, and Kate's laugh at the comical timing caused Lucy to laugh out loud as well. Once the spontaneous fit of laughter had run its course Lucy raised her head and asked, "Seriously though, no secret stash of m&m's? Snickers? Sour patch kids?"

"No," Kate laughed, "I told you, I don't do junk food."

"Ouch," Lucy pouted, "just when I thought we could be friends."

"There's still some pizza in the fridge," Kate replied, "unless you wanted something sweet?"

"I already had sweet," Lucy winked, causing Kate to blush. "So," she continued, pretending not to notice the fire painting those beautiful cheeks, "did you want to get ready to go now?"

"Could we just stay like this for a few more minutes?" Kate responded, and the almost pleading tone in her voice had Lucy tightening her grip and forgetting all about anything outside of their room.

"Yeah, of course," Lucy soothed, "we don't have to move until you say we do."

"Unfortunately that's not up to me," the blonde wistfully sighed, "the sunrise won't wait, I have to check in for my flight and soon this will no longer be my room."

"Wow, somebody needs coffee," Lucy chuckled, then laughed out loud when Kate rolled on top of her and she heard the coffee pot start to gurgle. "Seriously Kate?"

"Like clockwork," the blonde admitted with an embarrassed smile.

Replaying the previous night in her mind, Lucy crinkled her nose and asked, "When did you find the time to set that last night?"

"I set it yesterday afternoon," Kate admitted with an adorable eye roll, "right after you left to get dressed."

Lucy's responding laughter was infectious, and Kate realized that even when the brunette was laughing at her ridiculous quirks it wasn't malicious, just adorable.

"I should have known," Lucy chuckled, staring into the amused brown eyes above her. You're so cute, I love that you're trying so hard to just go with the flow when it's obvious that you are all about routine and structure. I wonder if I would even like you if I had met that version of you? Of course I would, just look at you. There's no way I could keep my hands off of you, any version of you. Wait, what's wrong? "Why are you so tense?"

"Can I ask you a question?" The blonde shyly asked, the thought of Lucy's solo trek home the day before triggering a reminder of the mysterious phone call the brunette had taken on the way back to their room later that night. When I was so turned on I could barely function and you just nonchalantly, breezily carried on a full blown conversation with your ex and your child.

"Anything," Lucy replied, curious as to what could have possibly caused the sudden shift in the blonde's mood.

"Look, I know it's none of my business and I have no right to ask," Kate admitted as she settled in on top of the brunette, the smooth silk of her legs shifting to entangle with Lucy's, "but-"

"But what?"

Burying her face in Lucy's neck she quietly asked, "Who's Jessie?"

Lucy stiffened in her arms, her eyes flying open as she urged the blonde to look at her and she queried, "Did you say Jesse?"

"I'm sorry, I wasn't trying to eavesdrop, I swear, but last night, when you stopped to take that call, I turned around to see where you were and I, uhm, I heard -"

"You heard my private conversation and jumped to some massive conclusions," Lucy chuckled, her thumb tracing the blonde's pouty lower lip as she reveled in the fact that Kate was clearly jealous of what she thought she knew. "You're cute when you're jealous," she smirked.

"I'm not jealous," Kate replied.

"Yeah you are," Lucy drawled, her lips briefly replacing her thumb. And it's hot.

Shivering in response, Kate drew in a shaky breath and admitted, "Fine, I am. But-"

"But what?" Lucy whispered.

"If you have a son, you don't have to -"

"I don't have any kids," Lucy interrupted, ending the line of questioning before anything more was said, "and Jesse is a co-worker whose little boy has a massive crush on me."

"Oh."

"Yeah, oh," Lucy repeated, "and I'm really sorry if I did anything to make you feel like there was someone else."

"No, I'm sorry," Kate replied, relieved that she had completely misread the situation. "I-" Kind of sort of technically have a girlfriend in DC who I really did mean to break up with before I met you, but she was cheating on me all along so really, I don't think she's even my girlfriend? "I uhm, I know that there is no future for us beyond today and that tonight we return to whatever normal looked like before we met, but -" I don't want it to go back to what it was before you. I can't stomach the thought of touching anyone else, or of anyone else touching you.

"But?" Lucy prodded, curious to see where this particular train of thought was going.

"But," Kate concluded, "it isn't fair to either one of us to ignore the reality that my life is on the mainland and your life is here."

"Right," Lucy agreed as she rolled out of the bed and her walls shot up, "keep it simple."

"It's the emotionally responsible thing to do," the blonde affirmed, "and I'm sorry I stepped out of line and questioned you about your personal life." Take it back, tell her you're sorry.

"Two nights, three days, all good, right?" Lucy declared.

"Yep all good," Kate heard herself agree, "did you want to get a shower before we go?"

Standing just out of reach of the temptation that could easily lure her back into the bed, Lucy stretched and responded, "Definitely, and if we hurry we still have time for you to catch some waves before we catch that sunrise."

The obvious shift in the brunette's tone had Kate lamenting her decision to insist that they keep things simple, but truth be told she knew it would be devastating for her in the long run to try to maintain a connection in the impossible situation they were in. Do you have any idea what you've done to me Lucy? Until you, I don't think I was capable of emotion. At least not since Noah died. Wait, what are you saying?

"...so I was thinking we could just grab some breakfast at Barefoot Beach unless you can't wait until eight?"

"I think I can wait," Kate smiled, "how about you?"

"Oh I have leftover pizza," Lucy winked, "so I'll be fine while you surf."

"I'm not surfing today."

"What? Why?" A perplexed Lucy asked.

"Because it's my last day with you," Kate explained.

"But you love surfing."

"I do," the blonde agreed, "but-"

"But what?"

But I love you more. "But I love spending time with you more."

Lucy's mouth dropped open, her hand rising to cover the blush staining her cheeks as she replied, "I love that, and I love that you would make that sacrifice for me. But Kate," she smiled, "I was planning to sit on the beach and watch you until you joined me for the sunrise."

"Lucy who hates the beach and all things water related is willing to do that for me?"

"Well I did agree to a surfboard sunrise," Lucy said with a nervous smile, "and I don't think I'll be able to keep my word on the surfboard, but the sunrise? I'm in."

"Well then," Kate beamed, "I guess I'm surfing."

Hang Ten

Once they had been fortified by coffee and a quick shower - separately, much to Lucy's grudging dismay - they headed to the beach. While Kate rented a board Lucy set up to watch at one of the hotel's oceanside dining tables, which was so surreal to her because she would have never believed, before Kate, that being this close to the ocean was something that she would have voluntarily subjected herself to. "So by beach you meant the lanai at the Hau Tree?" Kate smirked, smiling adorably at the gorgeous woman who was sipping her coffee and eating her leftover pizza.

"Actually the lanai is over there," Lucy said, pointing behind her, "and this table is in the sand so I am, technically, on the beach." Her self-satisfied, smug little grin and shoulder shrug were so cute that Kate laughed out loud, her smile radiant as she replied, "Well I guess there's no point in letting a perfectly good, empty table go to waste."

"I'm just sayin'," Lucy laughed in response, her mirth cut short when Kate stripped off her coverup and dropped it on an empty chair.

"I'll be back in a bit," the blonde promised, her amused grin telegraphing the fact that she knew exactly how her bikini clad body affected the practically drooling brunette. Transfixed by the sight, Lucy stared with her mouth open as the statuesque blonde grabbed her board and headed for the water. My god you're breathtaking. Nothing on heaven or earth could rival the image of you stripped down to that little two piece that hides nothing. I just had you, and I'm so thirsty to have you again I can't even stand myself. Grateful that nobody was there to engage in what she was certain would be a stuttering, stammering mess of a conversation, she sat back and tried to indulge in watching the fluidity of motion that was Kate on the water. Panic gripped her as she watched the blonde slide up on the board, her heart beating faster the further into the abyss the woman paddled. As she watched she saw Kate sit up on the board, too far out to see details but close enough that even in the pre-dawn she knew that it was her. Lucy frowned as another surfer paddled up beside the tall, sexy blonde, irritation creeping in as they exchanged greetings and something Kate said made the other surfer laugh.

Then the ocean swelled and the two surfers leaned forward, paddling in as the force of the rising wave propelled them toward the shore. Lucy's mouth dropped open when she saw Kate stand up, the tall, athletic body sexier than it had a right to be as she expertly navigated the surf. The brunette snickered when the other surfer, seemingly distracted by the vision of the blonde in motion, wiped out. Apparently oblivious to her counterpart's dilemma, Kate finished her run and popped up out of the surf, flashing Lucy an exuberant, triumphant smile before mounting her board and paddling out once again.

Oh my god that smile. Do you have any idea what that smile does to me? I want to hate watching you out there, but I can't. Your enthusiasm is infectious. Lucy polished off her last slice of pizza and sipped on her rapidly cooling coffee as Kate completed another dozen runs, her stomach lurching a little less each time the gorgeous woman confidently paddled out.

Here Comes The Sun

True to her word, as soon as the light started creeping across the horizon Kate emerged from the water and headed toward the sexy, sultry brunette who was watching her from the beach. My god you're gorgeous Lucy. Do you have any idea how turned on I am every time I so much as look at you?

"Hey," the blonde said as she approached the casually lounging brunette.

"Hey," Lucy replied, peering up at Kate with absolute adoration on her face. Do you have any idea how sexy you are? Do you know how much restraint it's taking for me to not throw myself at you right now?

With a slight hitch in her voice, Kate observed, "You're looking at me like the chicken hawk."

"I don't think the chicken hawk has ever been this hungry," Lucy drawled in her thick Texas accent.

Oh my god that accent. You're going to be the death of me. Inhaling a deep and shaky breath in response to the combination of Lucy's words and accent, a ridiculously turned on Kate deflected, "Ok so, now that you've survived watching me surf, are you sure I can't coerce you into getting out there yourself?"

"Nope I'm good here," Lucy replied, tightening her grip on the arms of her chair.

"Aww come on," Kate cooed, her voice husky from the salty workout as she leaned in close and suggested, "another first for our list?"

"That's one first I'll gladly skip," Lucy replied with a shiver, "but-"

"You were awesome out there!" the barista with the short, spiky hair from yesterday morning interrupted, talking to Kate like they were old friends, "Did you see me wipe out?"

"I didn't," the blonde replied, and Lucy realized that the other surfer was the woman she'd seen flirting with Kate at the coffee cart the previous morning. Jealousy flared as she watched the interaction, the taste of bile rising in the back of her throat as she realized that she had no right to feel any of the emotions that were raging inside of her right now.

Sensing Lucy's discomfort, Kate placed a hand on her shoulder and explained, "I was too busy looking over here."

Realization dawning as her gaze landed on Lucy, the other woman chuckled and skeptically asked, "Better than the North Shore? Really?"

Offended by the insinuation that Lucy was anything less than perfection and emboldened by the fact that the brunette had been hurt by the scathing words, Kate grabbed a fistful of shirt and hauled Lucy up out of the chair. Lucy gasped at the sudden, un-Katelike movement, then her brain turned off and she gave into the desire that Kate's hungry lips had ignited. "Mmm, better than anything," Kate confirmed, pulling away with a satisfied smile as she allowed Lucy to slide slowly back to the ground.

"Ok well," The dejected surfer replied as she averted her eyes from the clearly enamored pair, "I need to ah, I need to go set up so-"

Realizing that the couple only had eyes for each other, the would be lothario simply walked away.

Turning to face Lucy as the other woman trotted away, Kate's hands were in the air in surrender as she stated, "Look, I know I had no right to do that, but she just -"

The words were swallowed by Lucy, who threw herself at the apologetic blonde as soon as she had started speaking. "That was such a turn on," the brunette admitted between delicious, languorous kisses.

"Turned on enough to get on a surfboard?"

"No," Lucy countered, "but turned on enough to skip the sunrise."

"Oh yeah?" Kate husked.

"Mmm, definitely," Lucy affirmed, "protective Kate is hot."

"Tempting," Kate whispered as she indulged in a few more sweet, sensual kisses, "but I really want to see that sunrise. With you. On a surfboard."

Lucy's mouth opened, closed, opened again. You can't be serious Kate, you know how deathly afraid I am of the water. Just when I thought you could be the perfect woman, you go and do this to me. I'm sorry, I can't - wait, what are you doing?

Kate, smiling in that way that made Lucy feel so damn special, was spreading her towel open on the surfboard, which she had laid flat on the sand. Turning around and offering her hand, she proudly declared, "Sunrise on a surfboard, Lucy style." Taking a seat on the board, Kate urged the brunette to sit in front of her, then sighed in utter contentment when Lucy scooted back and leaned into her embrace.

"Hey, you're gonna get all wet," Kate exclaimed, her tone apologetic as she explained, "I should have dried off before I laid the towel down. I-"

"Hush now," Lucy said, placing her fingertips on those soft, soft lips as she admitted, "I've been wet ever since you stripped off that cover up."

Squirming as the illicit words hit her consciousness, Kate tried very hard to focus on the rapidly lightening sky.

"It's beautiful," Lucy breathed, her eyes on the horizon.

"Sure is," Kate agreed, though her gaze was solidly on the woman in front of her.

"Wow," Lucy observed, "that sun makes it awful hot awfully quick. Are you hungry?"

"Starving," Kate replied, pressing her lips to a mocha temple.

"Well then," Lucy shivered, "why don't you go wash off that icky salt water and I'll wait right here? Then we can head for the cafe."

Kate laughed as Lucy stood and offered her hand, then allowed the smaller woman to pull her to her feet. "I didn't hear you complaining about the salt when you were sucking on my face," Kate mumbled as she shook out the towel and grabbed the board.

"You said what?" Lucy asked, so transfixed by the sight of Kate in that ridiculously tiny scrap of material that the words weren't even registering.

"Be right back!" Kate brightly announced, leaving a befuddled Lucy in her wake.

Avocado Toast and Egg Lust Sandwiches

"Really Kate? The avocado toast?" Lucy questioned, rolling her eyes as she expounded, "I mean I get it, it's healthy, but you're in paradise for just a few more hours and *that* is what you're having for breakfast?"

"I like it," Kate defended, "and what about you there, Texas? All of these choices and you're going for the breakfast burrito?" Tapping her chin and scrutinizing the tiny woman in front of her, the blonde surmised, "I think Coral's right - cowgirl."

Glaring at the taller woman, her adorable eyebrow furrow appeared as Lucy challenged, "You know what?" Turning to the counter she exclaimed, "Excuse me! Can I change my order to the sweetbread French toast?" Looking smugly at Kate she smirked, "What?! It comes with fruit."

"And I'll take the egg lust sandwich," Kate added, "and two bottles of water. But," she amended, "I'll still take the avocado toast."

Staring skeptically, Lucy's gaze finally broke the blonde who turned and said, "What?!"

"Two breakfasts to prove your point? Bold. But," she smirked, "I have my doubts about whether you'll be able to finish even one."

Smiling politely, Kate simply stirred her coffee and waited for her order to be served. As they moved across the dining area to find a table, Lucy was still chuckling trying to imagine Kate consuming both meals. "You're very competitive," she smirked, her tone full of humor to soften the blow of the unexpected question, "aren't you?"

Silently studying the shorter woman, Kate considered answering the question. I am competitive, to a fault, but that's not what this is about. Should I tell you? No, I'm leaving today, deep conversations would just waste a perfectly lovely send off. Taking a seat at an empty table, Lucy was surprised when Kate took the bottled water and indulgent sandwich and said, "I'll be right back." Watching in awe, Lucy was touched to see Kate take the food across the dining area and out to the apparently homeless vet sitting on the retaining wall in front of the restaurant. The brunette's expression softened as she watched the blonde approach, then kneel and speak to the man. After a brief conversation she was amazed when Kate, clearly asking for permission, patted his dog on the head. She then handed him the food and water and headed back into the seaside courtyard.

As she took her seat at the table and took a bite of her toast, Kate was surprised to see that not only was Lucy not making fun of her fare, but that she was actually looking at her with such adoration that it took her breath away.

What compelled you to do that? Do you know that I work for the Navy? That I fight to right the wrongs of men just like him every day? God Kate, I just fell a little more in love with you.

"You're staring," Kate whispered. Please don't ask me about it, because I'll tell you about Noah and this will turn into a very unsexy morning. Please don't ask.

"You're amazing," Lucy replied, thinking that there was definitely more to the story but knowing that after this morning the details wouldn't matter. Don't fret sweet Kate, I won't pry. Without further conversation about what the blonde had done, Lucy groaned in satisfaction as she dug into her French toast.

"I know you're taking the high road," Lucy teased, "But just take a bite."

Eyeing the tempting treat on the end of Lucy's fork, Kate leaned forward and captured it between her teeth. "Oh, my god," she mumbled, "that might be better than-"

"Don't finish that sentence," Lucy warned, "because not even this sinfully delicious treat is better than sex." As Kate stared slack-jawed at the bold proclamation, Lucy continued, "At least not sex with you."

Lucy's naughty words and sexy little wink set Kate's cheeks on fire, and she struggled to focus on finishing her breakfast as she looked around to see if anyone had heard the inappropriate comment.

"Relax Kate," Lucy advised, wiping her mouth as she finished her meal and looked across the table at her obviously uncomfortable companion. "Nobody heard me, and even if they did, so what? You're leaving soon and will never see anyone here ever again." Including me. My god I'm going to miss looking across the table and seeing you. Are you going to miss me at all? "Ready?" She asked brightly as the blonde drained the last of her coffee.

Too brightly. Eyeing her skeptically, Kate replied, "Yeah, let's go."

"So," Lucy started as they exited the cafe and began the short walk back to the hotel, "how was your breakfast?"

"Delicious," Kate replied, "and a much better start to a day that will see me on a plane for twelve hours than that very heavy, sugary start you selected."

Narrowing her eyes as she peered up at the lecturing blonde, Lucy tapped her chin and declared, "I think I'm glad I met Fun Kate and not her alter ego who just lectured me on my breakfast habits. Lucky me, she's leaving today."

Trying to cover up te fact that Lucy's words actually struck a nerve, Kate side-eyed her and suggested, "Wanna see what else Fun Kate and her favorite cowgirl can get into before she leaves?"

"I'm not a cowgirl!" Lucy groaned.

"All evidence to the contrary, I'm going to have to disagree," Kate smirked. Leaning in close she whispered, "I've never seen anyone ride bareback as expertly as you."

Blushing at the unexpectedly erotic comment, Lucy grabbed the blonde's hand and pulled her to a stop and asked, "Are you as turned on as I am?"

"More," Kate husked.

"Race you back to the hotel?"

"Eat my dust," Kate replied as she turned and sprinted away.

"Hey it's only fun if both of us-" Lucy called out, watching the taller woman rapidly putting distance between them, "get there at the same time!" she finished, then rolled her eyes and hurried to catch up.
