Previously:
Our protagonist found himself, after an unceremonious drop into a pile of trash, in a world, that resembles his old one more than he'd expect.
After trying to spot any differences between the two worlds, he found what he was looking for in a defenetly magical portal, and a bird like girl that likely opened it.
Now:
"Really. I don't need someone that tells me what to do here."
This is one of the many complaints i got in the short time i tried to teach the bird girl the basic workings of how to not get yourself killed in the US.
"You know what, fuck it. Let's start at point zero.
I may have overdone the whole 'don't do this' thing a bit, and we haven't even introduced ourselfs"
This got a reliefed sigh out of the girl.
"I'll begin. I'm Deus. Nice to meet ya."
"Octavia."
It was shorter than I'd hoped but oh well. gotta keep the conversation going somehow.
"So, why exactly are you here? i don't presume that you came here not knowing what you were looking for."
The question got a sad and distant look out of her almost Immediatly.
"Ah perfect. It made her sad. Great job you moron."
Before i could say anything, she began to speak, although more quietly. If I were any further away, I bet i would have missed it.
"Tonight, there will be a... meteorshower.
When I was little, my Dad promised me that we would go there together, but after he and Mom divorced it's like he'd rather spend his time screaming at her. It's like he forgot it completely."
Ah, yes. the age old disfunctional family. Truely the best way to make someone suffer.
Maybe i can salvage this situation.
"Although i can't help in the matter of Family, i can help you with the meteorshower.
There should be a good spot on an observatory outside the City."
And voilĂ , she isn't looking like someone just hit her puppy anymore.
"Before you ask where, it is quite a walk there, and i gotta check something first. Don't worry though, we will get there in time."
A slightly annoyed, but somewhat happy "Alright" was what i got.
You may ask 'Why didn't you bring her to that observatory directly' or 'what is so important that you had to check'.
It is simple. I had to check if there were differences in smaller things like the money.
As of right now, i am both broke and unregisterd. At least i think i am unregisterd.
The first thing isn't that much of a problem, but the second one could be an unimaginable pain in the ass if someone asks the right questions.
Finding out the currency was fairly easy. I just had to go around and find a bit of money, and as luck would have it, it is the standard US dollar.
"So, can we go now? You said it yourself. It is quite a walk to that spot."
An understandable question, but i already have something planned.
I have a Drivers license that should work in this world if I'm lucky.
My access to the expanded creative inventory should allow me to get a Car, and a random license plate can do the job for now.
I already got a specific car in mind as well.
It is an oldtimer that i once drove with my Father.
"Wait here for a second, and I'll show you why i said that we will get there in time."
Before she could retort, i was already in a conveniently placed Alleyway.
"Now, let's find my car."
With that i opened the creative inventory, and with a quick search i found it and a fitting license plate.
"Finally, after so many years. My 124 Spider Pininfarina."
Without hesetating, I placed it down.
the Keyes for it already were inside, and the doors unlocked.
Only the license plates were missing, and then It is ready to go.
As I rolled up with it, i noticed how impatient Octavia looked like.
"Come. The drive to the observatory won't be nearly as long as the walk."
"For your sake, i hope you tell the truth." She said with a small glare.
The drive, except for the occasional road rage, was fairly uneventful.
The perfect time to engage in some small talk.
"So, where are ya from?"
Maybe this way i can find out more about this world.
What i didn't expect was for her to stay silent.
A quick glance to her was all i needed for an explanation.
Somehow, this one question made her extremely nervous for some reason.
"Is everything okay?"
"Hell. I'm from Hell"
we were silent for a few seconds as my brain rebooted.
"Like the literal Hell, or Hell in the metaphoric way?"
"The literal one."
Well, that explains some things, but opens a whole lot more questions.
If there is a Hell, then there must be a Heaven.
Is it like the typical eternal torture or, what would be more likely, is it just another kind of afterlife?
Is Santa real here as well?
All of these questions, and the only thing i could say is:
"Oh."
The rest of the way was spent in a somewhat arkward kind of silence, with Octavia occasionally making photos of the surrounding.
What we didn't know was, that someone was tracking her movements via the posted Sinstagram stories.
Another chapter done.
Also, merry Cristmas from my side.
As always, if you spot anything like gramar issues or simular, please comment what and where so i can correct it.
Also, I plan on finally incorperating some more commands (there will be some original commands).
If you have Ideas for commands, comment them as well and I'll try to fit them into the story.
I'll begin writing chapter 4 shortly.
