Chapter 11

It was now time for the giant restaurant after the first day of battles Ash was about to enter his room to change when Insey tapped him on the shoulder.

"Hey Ash, I need to talk to you for a moment..." Insey seemed hesitant, but Ash just turned to her with a smile.

"Sure Insey, what seems to be the problem?" Ash questioned, as Insey showed this indigo blue dress, and explained how this was the one she spent months making and wanting to be worn by one of the participants in the Contest/Showcase competition during the giant five-star feast, but sadly no one picked it as their outfit for the competition, and due to the fact there's only an hour left to sign up, she was feeling really hurt by it. "I don't want to force it, but I really would like you to use your Scarlet self to wear this if that's alright..." Insey explained, as Ash sighed, he wasn't the biggest fan of being Scarlet, but it was to make Insey happy with her hard work.

"Alright, I'll do it, but you owe me afterward." Ash groaned as Insey began hugging Ash tightly, Pikachu decided to help out too, since he and sometimes Sceptile and Dragonite were the main ones for Contests. Lillie was having her fur in a few braids behind her head by Minami, mostly to conceal who she used to be more easily. Serena decided to not participate in the Contests/Showcase since that would not be fair considering her status as Sevestar's Showcase/Contest Queen! Goh was wearing this black suit, dark gray, and red tie that he had worn to Ash's wedding. It was his most formal outfit. Chloe decided to participate as well and was finally able to call Lucina their detective and lawyer friend from the Paldea region, she was a bit late still. Trenor was taking a shower, as for Golly, well no one was really sure where she went, it was like she was taken into another dimension when she was getting ready...oh well, she'll probably show up later at the party. Lillie and Snowy were called to where Ash was, so they went over there.

Delia was at least feeding some of their Pokémon, while the children were in their separate rooms getting ready too, Ash said that he would catch up later. So, Delia, Insey, Minami, Trenor, Mark, Serena, Goh, Chloe, Chase, Sarah, and Susanna. Plus any Pokémon partners they have, started making their way towards the giant banquet area. Serena also had her hair in a braid to make it a lot harder to recognize her. When they got there, they were an hour early but did notice Max, Dawn, Brock, Iris, and Bonnie helping the staff finish up the final preparations.

"Hey everyone!" Serena greeted her friends, and Bonnie gave Serena a hug as the others were greeting the others, "I see you want to help out with the banquet preparations."

"Yeah, figured that we might as well do something since a large amount of people is going to make a lot of effort needed from the RPA company!" Max explained, as the group decided to help out as well, Lillie wanted to help, but the fact she's only really able to sweep things by using her tail as a duster was not that helpful...

At last, the feast had started, and Golly managed to show up in a dark purple dress, while also having this necklace that had this star-shaped Fairy Tera Crystal on it.

"Wow, that looks nice Sis!" Minami gasped as she looked at it in awe, "When did you make this?"

"Well, I wasn't the one who made it to be honest..." Golly chuckled, leaving her family confused, "I'll explain after the party, it's a long story. Where's A-I mean Red?"

"Red's helping me with that dress I made that no one picked out for the contests..." Insey explained while blushing a bit from being a bit embarrassed, as the group all understood what she was talking about.

When around 95% of the people attending were seated, Delia/Aurora told everyone that while the food was being handled out, there was going to be a Pokémon Showcase/Contest competition happening as most of them knew, only May wanted to do it out of the traitor group. Dawn also decided to join as well.

In the back, this girl who also seemed similar to Ash, but had golden blonde tips at the back of her hair while wearing a blue dress was in this waiting room, with Lillie as a Flareon with braids behind her head, Snowy, and Pikachu who's now a female with a black-heart in her tail wearing this pink pop-star outfit!

"Alright, you three." The girl whispered, "We're going to be performing in contests with people from other regions, so do try your best tonight, alright?"

"Scarlet, we've practiced Contests a lot." Pikachu groaned, "As long as you don't rely on me to carry everything we'll be good!"

"Also, since I have the time to, I know that my hair would give it away normally, but did we have to put my hair in braids like this?" Lillie whined, "This isn't that great of style to have my hair in when it comes to feeling nice..."

"It's just one performance, girl." Scarlet sighed, "Besides, this is May's specialty, can't we at least try this fur style, if it hurts so much I'll undo it after the party, okay?"

"Fine, but did you have to have me go by 'Flareon' and Snowy by 'Vulpix', I get why, but we couldn't come up with a name." Lillie groaned as Scarlet gave her some pats to the head, saying she couldn't come up with a name to even temporarily replace their names.

"Calling Scarlet Ketari and May Maple to the stage!" They heard Scarlet's Mom call for, as the four walked to the stage, soon facing May and her three Pokémon: Blaziken, Glaceon, and Beautifly.

"Flareon, you're going first!" Scarlet exclaimed as Lillie/Flareon jumped into position.

"Alright then, Glaceon, you're up first, let's show them who's the best of Eevee's Evolutions!" May declared as Glaceon jumped on the stage.

The Eeveelutions stared down each other, as the judge told them to start.

"Flareon, start with Sizzly Slide!" Scarlet ordered as Lillie cloaked herself in flames before rushing at Glaceon, who despite being confused about what this move was, managed to evade the attack and launch a Chilling Water right into Lillie's face, lowering her attack.

(UltimateGoomba: before this contest battle to make the moves logical: *Looks up Glaceon's move set.* "Wait, Glaceon learns Chilling Water?")

"Dang it.." Scarlet growled a bit, "Flareon, use Flamethrower!"

"O-okay then..." Lillie gulped as she tried using Flamethrower, which hit Glaceon, but Lillie started coughing up smoke, "Still haven't mastered that move yet ever since we got rid of Fire Spin..."

"Flareon, come back for now, Vulpix, you take the spotlight now!" Scarlet called out, a bit concerned for Lillie, Snowy took her spot, as May stuck with Glaceon, "Okay, get in close Vulpix, make sure to keep an eye out for any attacks."

Snowy started to switch approach Glaceon, so May ordered to use Iron Tail to knock her back, but Snowy jumped over as Scarlet smirked.

"Use Freeze Burn!" Scarlet ordered as Snowy enveloped herself in a bit of flames before slamming herself into Glaceon who got knocked to the floor, as a Swifty Snow caused more points to be lost by May.

Soon, both switched out for Pikachu vs Blaziken, which May instantly chose to Mega Evolve Blaziken, so Scarlet used her Tera Orb to Terastalize Pikachu into a Water Type to even the playing field! Blaziken started with a Sky Uppercut & Blaze Kick combination, only for Pikachu's Floaty Fall to block the attack, followed by an up-close Splishy Splash, which damaged Blaziken a lot, then Speed Boost activated to increase her speed.

"You think speed will help? Think again, use Thunder-Slash!" Scarlet ordered, as Pikachu started to use Thunderbolt, but grabbed her tail and swung it around, causing these electric slash waves to go flying everywhere, while the speed helped out, it wasn't enough to dodge them all, which allowed Pikachu to take down Blaziken with Zippy Zap. May then sent out Beautifly which was a major disadvantage as it was weak to all three Pokémon on Scarlet's side.

"Alright Flareon," Scarlet whispered, "I know you're still recovering from failing Flamethrower, but I want you to at least try to get a win in this contest, so at least try. It's one of May's weaker Pokémon as well."

"Alright, fine." Lillie groaned, "But I'm going to struggle you know."

"I know." Scarlet sighed as she soon called Pikachu back and had her Flareon back on the field, May knew for a fact she was already lost, but figured she could take out one Pokémon.

"Beautifly, use Air Cutter!" May ordered, as Lillie did a back flip to dodge the incoming strikes, before throwing a Shadow Ball from her tail towards the Bug/Flying Type, but a Bug Buzz blocked that attempt, which caused both to lose points, so Scarlet had her Fire Type Eeveelution to use Iron Tail to use the shockwave to launch her towards Beautifly and land a Sizzly Slide with more momentum, which worked, but Beautifly started to use Leech Life to gain some energy back while causing Lillie to wince, before using a bunch of Air Cutters to knock her into the air.

"Don't give up, Flamethrower!" Scarlet yelled out to Lillie/Flareon, as she sighed to herself, and started to fall downwards while spinning to avoid the Air Cutter attacks, and started spinning while using Flamethrower like it was a Counter Shield, which started to deflect attacks until hitting Beautifly as the two Pokémon both hit the ground when the dust cleared, Beautifly was down, which left May with only her tired Glaceon. Scarlet seemed happy about this, but then noticed Lillie starting to stumble a bit, thankfully the timer went off at the moment so Lillie didn't have to use any more energy.

The points were Scarlet - 75/100, and May - 5/100. Since Scarlet had the most points, she was declared the winner! She took her three Pokémon after shaking hands with May, and once out of everyone's sight, Scarlet twirled around, transforming into Ash after changing into his suit for the party that is, Pikachu also changed back, while Lillie turned into her Espeon form for the party, still forced to keep those braids, as they soon headed to where their family was sitting.
