Chapter 2: Blue Mask

"Welcome to Total Drama: The Red Island! My name is Chris McLean and I'll be your host for this season." He was standing at the red island's dock. In his hand was the Multiversal Staff. "This season is going to be special because I'm going to be using this staff to summon the contestants from different universes! Isn't that awesome?!" Chris laughed. "Now, you might be wondering, what if the competitors don't speak English?"

Chef walked up to Chris and dumped a large brown bag on the ground. Chris stuck his hand in the bag and grabbed several silver bracelets. The bracelets were robotic looking.

"These bracelets were engineered by some of the smartest scientists ever in Canada," said Chris. "It detects languages and automatically translates the language to English as you're speaking. We'll make sure all the competitors are wearing these bracelets on their wrists, so you and I can understand what they're saying! And these bracelets will help the competitors understand English too. Everyone is required to wear these, even if they know English, because it's also a useful tracking tool for me to keep an eye on everyone. Let's move on!"

The cameraman followed Chris and Chef to two wooden cabins.

Cabins

"This is where the competitors will be sleeping for the next several weeks," said Chris. "To the west of these cabins is the outdoor elimination ceremony area. And to the east is the amazing dining hall! Chef cooks some of the best food ever," said Chris with an evil grin. "There's also a few confessional booths scattered around the island. Let's head back to the dock of shame!"

Dock of Shame

"Oh, and one last thing," said Chris. "Take a good look at this red island."

The cameraman slowly turned the camera from left to right. Almost everything on the island was completely red. The grass was red, the leaves were red, the trees were red, the animals were red, and even the water on the island was red. There was also red pollen floating around everywhere in the air too.

"As you can see, the island is almost completely red. Unfortunately, I don't know why the island is red because this is our first time filming Total Drama on this island. But don't worry! We'll find out why the island is red. There's a team of environmentalists studying the island as I'm speaking. They'll report back to me soon," said Chris with a wink. "Alright! I think it's time to summon the contestants." Chris closed his eyes, and the Multiversal Staff began to emit more dark blue energy. "First up, is Swiper from Dora the Explorer's universe!"

Dark blue energy released from the Multiversal Staff, which caused Swiper to appear.

"Where am I?" asked Swiper as he scratched his orange head.

"This is an island!" said Chris as he attached a bracelet to Swiper's wrist.

"Huh? I shouldn't be here. Send me back so I can steal Dora's backpack and map for the millionth time!"

"Nope."

"Oh, man!" said Swiper.

"You gotta win Total Drama and then I'll let you return to your universe," explained Chris. "Next up is Ellie Williams from The Last of Us universe!"

Dark blue energy released from the Multiversal Staff, which caused Ellie to appear.

"What the fuck? Where am I exactly?" asked Ellie.

"Canada," said Chris with a smile. He walked over and tried to put a bracelet on Ellie.

But suddenly, Ellie jumped backwards and pulled out a pocketknife from her blue jeans. "Don't you fucking touch me!"

Chris sighed. "Chef, a little assistance please."

Chef walked over to where Ellie was standing. She tried to stab Chef several times, but Chef used his fast reflexes to dodge her attacks. Chef snatched the pocketknife from Ellie and tossed it into the ocean.

"God damn it," said Ellie as she crossed her arms.

"You'll be competing in Total Drama. If you want to return to your universe, you gotta win Total Drama," said Chris with an evil grin. He put a bracelet on Ellie's wrist.

"This is fucking messed up," said Ellie as she walked over and stood next to Swiper. "Abducting teenagers is sooo fucked up."

"Nice to meet you. My name is Swiper."

"Don't talk to me, you orange-looking freak of nature," murmured Ellie.

Swiper's facial expression quickly changed from annoyed to mad.

"Hehe, I love the adorable bonding between the two of you. Next up is Jason Todd from the Titans' universe!" said Chris.

Dark blue energy released from the Multiversal Staff, which caused Jason to appear.

Jason's face was in disbelief. "This is fucking crazy. The Titans and I were fighting Mother Mayhem. And now.. I'm at a red island."

"I know right? It's crazy," said Chris. He walked over and tried to put a bracelet on Jason's wrist.

But Jason resisted and took a step backwards. "Wait, what is this shit you're trying to put on my wrist?"

"A voice translating bracelet," said Chris.

"And what if I refuse to put on the bracelet?"

"Then, I'll disqualify you and you'll have a zero chance of seeing the Titans ever again," said Chris with an evil grin.

Jason sighed. "Fine."

Chris placed the bracelet on Jason's wrist. Then, Jason walked over to where Swiper and Ellie were standing.

"Nice to meet you. My name is Swiper."

Jason was quiet for a moment. "You seem like a wimp," he said in front of Swiper's face.

This caused Swiper to get even madder.

"Next up is Misty from the Pokémon universe!" said Chris.

Dark blue energy released from the Multiversal Staff, which caused Misty to appear.

Misty quickly got angry and began to shout at everyone in Japanese. But nobody understood what she was saying.

Chris walked over to Chef and gave him one of the bracelets. "Chef, I'm going to need some more assistance from you."

Chef nodded. He aimed for Misty's wrist. Then, he perfectly threw the bracelet at her wrist. Click!

"WHAT IS THIS BRACELET?! Wait a second, I'm speaking English?" asked Misty.

"Yes you are," said Chris.

Misty scratched her orange hair. "And I can understand that ugly guy's English? That's so weird.."

Chris frowned. "I'm not ugly. Just go join the others over there." He pointed to where Swiper, Ellie, and Jason were standing.

At first, Misty was hesitant, but then she slowly walked over to join the others.

"Just so you know, we got abducted by this psychopath too," said Ellie.

"Wow.. You know, I really want to PUNCH him in the face for abducting me," murmured Misty.

"Same, I want to punch him in the face too. My name is Ellie by the way."

Ellie and Misty shook hands.

"Anyways.. Next up is Mario from the Super Mario Galaxy universe!" said Chris.

Dark blue energy released from the Multiversal Staff, which caused Mario to appear.

"Hellooo! Wahooo!" said Mario with a friendly smile. His mustache was perfectly trimmed.

"How's it going Mario?" asked Chris.

"Good! I was fighting against Bowser Jr. in the Art Galaxy. I broke Bowser Jr.'s arms and legs using a paintbrush and paint palette!"

Chris scratched his chin. "Hmm, that sounds cruel and intense."

"He was trying to destroy and rule the universe with Bowser! I had to kick his butt!" explained Mario.

"You know what Mario.. I like your way of thinking!" said Chris with a grin. "You're perfect for Total Drama!"

"Cool!"

Chris put a bracelet on Mario's wrist. "Go join the others over there!"

Mario nodded. He walked over to join the others.

"Hi! My name is Swiper, nice to meet you Mario!"

"Hello!" said Mario. "I like your blue mask, Swiper!"

Mario and Swiper shook hands.

"Thanks! But I'm surprised you like my blue mask because I haven't washed my blue mask for twenty-five years," explained Swiper.

"Oh-" said Mario with a surprised look on his face.

"Interesting," said Chris.

All of a sudden, a commercial break appeared..
