About three things I was absolutely positive. First, Edward was an alien. Second, there was a part of him - and I don't know how potent that part might be - that thirsted for my blood. And third, I was unconditionally and irrevocably in love with him.
I can't believe it, I thought, sucking in a breath sharply. I'm in a room with a real alien, an extraterrestrial, and to make matters worse, I'm in love with said extraterrestrial
"What do you wanna know?" He said smoothly as if he'd been expecting and planning this conversation for ages
But that was what he was like. Smooth, alien Edward Cullen, for as long as I'd known him had been smooth and sweet-talking, also known as the opposite of me.
"W-where are you from? What planet I mean"
"It's not easy to explain," He said thinking for a moment "I'm from Earth, we all are, well except for Carlisle"
WHAT I mentally yelled, the most human appearing of them all wasn't even from Earth? Edward must have seen my visible shock as he started grinning but then quickly turned serious again as he began to brace himself to feed my innocent mind
"We were all born here, but from birth, we were infected by this sort of virus. The virus works in different ways, for example, the virus gave me the power to read minds, Alice to tell the future, and Jasper to manipulate people's moods"
"So the virus gives people powers?" I asked
"No," he said sternly "Not everyone, and don't you think for one second that this is something you want, because it's not. It turns even the best people into horrible human-eating monsters"
I had never seen him this mad before. His eyes had turned dark red, and I could hear the faintest sound of a growl coming from his mouth.
I wanted him. While he was talking about some scary foreign virus that ruins people, I wanted him. God, I must be one sick girl.
"Does one have to be born with the virus?" I couldn't let him close this conversation on me, I needed to hear the truth
"No," He said but this time softer "But it is torture to anyone who gets infected by it. Carlisle says it's the most painful experience a person can go through. Besides, anyone who has the virus eventually stops aging and becomes immortal"
"But if you and the others were born with the virus, how are you?.."
"Not a baby?" He chuckled
I nodded. I must sound so stupid, I thought.
"We stop aging when we meet the host. The host is a person, in my case, Carlisle, who was born on the mother planet and bears a special connection to us, Jasper, for example, has another host, a vial woman by the name of Maria,…She treated him badly."
My head was spinning, everything I thought I knew was wrong. Actual aliens were walking on Earth with us right now and the boy I thought I knew, the charming, meet-your-mom type was actually a real-life alien. Was the word alien offensive? did they prefer something like another world-living human?
"So... Have you ever been to the mother planet?" I asked innocently
"No, Carlisle says there is no need, the rulers of our planet reside here in a town called Loket in the Czech Republic"
"Y-your rulers?"
"Yes, Aro, Caius, and Marcus Loket, they're kind of our unofficial rulers. The reason for that is because they had the strongest galaxy of them all"
"Galaxy?"
"A collective noun for a group of aliens," Edward said with a smirk
I scoffed
"Alright, show off. So their's is the Loket galaxy, what's your galaxy's name ?"
"It's kind of lame… The Olympic galaxy," He said showing me his all too famous embarrassed grin "Can you guess why?"
"I don't know, because we live in the Olympic peninsula?"
He nodded slowly
"Oh my god!" I laughed "Carlisle got real creative with that one, huh?"
"He sure did, we don't use it anyway, we're more of a family"
After hours of explaining, laughing, and having everything I ever knew become completely flipped on its head I can now finally breathe a loud breath of relief as I accept that my boyfriend, Edward Cullen, and his family are aliens. While I didn't get all the answers I wanted I realized one important thing.
There is nothing more I want in life than to be infected with the virus and live my life with Edward forever.
A/N: I have never done anything like this before so apologies if it doesn't make sense. I got this little Twilight alien AU idea after listening to E.T. by Katy Perry. In this AU I mixed in a bit of the Xenomorphs from the alien series ( the fact that they are meat eaters ) and a bunch of alien facts from the internet so if this sounds similar to any other story/Book/ movie that was not my intention.
