The Pokemon School isn't in session today and it looks like Ash and the Professors are going somewhere.
It's a peaceful Tuesday on the 8th of June but this time, Sarah and the others are not attending school for the day as Ash, Burnet, and Kukui are preparing to head out as well. With them gone, it meant that Rotom-Dex and Ash's Pokemon will be left at home alone so they asked Sarah to come over and help babysit them until they return much to the little princess' chagrin after the incidents with Meltan. But, on the promise that the Hex Nut Pokemon is being much better behaved and he has his own meals for him, she decided to take up the offer and come over but only taking Blitz and Silvally with her for the trip instead of her whole family including Magearna as they all opted to pass up on the opportunity, not wanting a repeat of the incidents again.
"Head's up, Rotom, we're heading ou-!" Ash called until Rotom-Dex, Burnet, and Kukui frantically shushed him.
"They're sleeping right now, remember?" Rotom-Dex reminded, directing him to his sleeping Pokemon close by.
"Oh... They're sleeping peacefully, all right. I just hope they'll all be okay while we're gone..."
"We're just going shopping close by so let's not wake them up," Kukui reminded.
"I agree, they'll be fine as long as they get their beauty sleep," Rotom-Dex nodded.
"In that case, maybe you can stay here and watch the house for the day with Sarah when she gets here. By then, we'll be back in no time."
"Hey, guys, Professors."
The quartet turned to find Sarah joined by Blitz and Silvally as expected.
"Hello, Sarah. Now, you know the Nasty Plot; we'll be out shopping for a bit and you and Rotom will be looking after the house and Ash's Pokemon while we're gone," Kukui smiled.
"Well, as long as that metal monstrosity stays as far away from me as possible, I can handle that."
"You're still not over your near miss with Meltan, aren't you?" Rotom-Dex asked, concerned.
"Not, even, close..."
"Well, we better be off. Bye, Sarah, Rotom. We'll be back in a minute," Burnet replied as she, her husband, and Ash left on their shopping trip.
"We read you loud and clear."
"Bye," Rotom-Dex and Sarah called as they left before they went inside and went to check on Ash's Pokemon, all of them sleeping peacefully and not wanting to wake up for the day.
"Well, Mother, we got the whole place to ourselves until the turkey brain and Mr. and Mrs. Braniac get back. Now, what'll we do?" Silvally quizzed.
"I guess we'll just have to relax a bit and do what we always do whenever we're out of school, Silvally."
"How are Pikachu and the others doing, by the way?" puzzled Blitz as the quartet checked on Lycanroc, Torracat, Meltan, Pikachu, and Rowlet, all of them out like a light and snoring as they continued to sleep.
"Aww, would you look at that? Every last one of them is fast asleep like a bunch of logs," Rotom-Dex cooed as he decided to take some pictures of the sleeping Pokemon without waking them up. "The perfect time for a few family pictures."
"Kinda reminds me a lot about you, Mother. Guess you guys somehow got that mutual feeling from each other," chuckled the snarky Synthetic Pokemon.
"I won't mind being your alarm clock again if you end up sleeping like a log," Blitz added cheekily, knowing how much of a deep sleeper his human mother was.
Sarah rolled her eyes at her Pokemon partners/sons as she replied, "Funny..."
She then looked at Meltan sleeping with Rowlet as she could only sigh and relief and brood quietly, "At least, *he's* out like a light. But, I would've preferred it and its buddies didn't exist let alone come to Alola when we least expect it. I can't stand it eating so much metal without knowing when to stop eating let alone seeing it want to eat something that'll satisfy its bottomless pit."
Then the doorbell rang as Rotom-Dex, Sarah, Blitz, and Silvally turned to it, "Hmm?"
"Huh?"
"Now, what?"
"Who is it?"

(The opening begins when we see legions of Pokemon trainers and their Pokemon training in a giant stadium and amongst them, Sarah, Ash, and the Pokemon School gang are training with their own Pokemon now with the addition of (Asha, Race, Proud, Ziracon, Robbie, and Bella), preparing for the most important chapter of their lives before the trainers and their Pokemon stood at attention and the gang got into a group fighting pose as the song begins. They will eventually take part in the finalized Alola League to determine who is the top Pokemon Trainer in the entire Alola region)

Sarah and the gang continue training for the Alola League with the boys prepping at Kiawe's training camp and the girls with Tsukumaro at Lillie's mansion before we see Lillie and Nihilego Lillie standing together as the latter was accepted as part of her family in gratitude for saving her father, Mohn)

Delilah and Doug dance happily together, Tsukumaro and Sarah continue training together in swordsmanship while her family watches on, and she and the gang try to help a golf player and her Toucannon out of a slump they're in)

(The Power Rangers Ultra Rescue face off against Evox and his forces in both their and the Power Rangers Beast Morphers' final missions against him, Guzma faces off against either Ash or Sarah as one of them tries to pry into what Kukui knows about him, and one of them facing off against Kukui and Tapu Koko in a full Pokemon battle. The opening ends with Sarah, in human form, unsheathing her family's Sun Sword and holding it high above her before she is joined by Link, Zelda, Blitz, Curly, and Silvally along with Cresselia, Xerneas, Zygarde (10% Forme), Zacian, Zamazenta, Rayquaza, and Giratina on a mountain cliff and the main titles appeared below them)

"Delivery! Anybody home?"
Sarah and Rotom-Dex turned to each other and went to the door to find a delivery man and a Marchoke with an unexpected package which was a peculiar-looking washing machine.
"Hello, Sir."
"We're here."
The man blinked in surprise before he then smiled, "Princess! Wasn't expecting you to be here of all places, especially with a Rotom Pokedex so this must be knew. Anybody amongst you home to sign this package we're droppin off?"
"If it's alright with you two, I can do that," Sarah replied.
"Sarah and I are the house-sitters while Prof. Kukui and Prof. Burnet along with our friend, Ash, are gone," Rotom-Dex added.
"Well, isn't that sweet? Being a house-sitter must be so grown up but in your case, Princess, you've proven how much of a mature young woman you are."
"It's not like I'm a kid but you got that right for Sarah. Plus, when it comes to house-sitting, we're the experts," Rotom-Dex replied as Sarah signed off on the package delievered while Machoke carefully brought in the washing machine.
"Thank you, Sirs. Keep the change," Sarah thanked as she presented a few gold bars from her family's vault to fill the payment.
"You're welcome."
"Goodbye, Princess," they smiled as they left.
"Whatcha got there, Mother?"
"Did Prof. Kukui order something before he, Prof. Burnet, and Ash had to leave?" Silvally and Blitz asked once they, Sarah, and Rotom-Dex started to examine the strange-looking washing machine.
"They purchased a washing machine?" Rotom-Dex puzzled in confusion.
"I don't know why they would need another one. He didn't tell us about his old washing machine packing it in after it broke down somehow," Sarah replied as she looked it over and noticed something off about it when she noticed the coloration and its looks. "And, something tells me it's more than just a washing machine, really. Didn't you see how it's colored and how it looked before the delivery man brought it here? This one's orange and it's not white."
While Sarah and her Pokemon sons were distracted with the strange washing machine, however, Rotom-Dex's train of thought would soon be derailed as at that moment, they heard Torracat and Lycanroc waking up as the Fire Cat Pokemon was now awakened by Lycanroc as he was being nuzzled by his brother-in-arms.
"Dude, could you stop? Like, I mean it! Could you not?" he grumbled as he jumped away and batted Lycanroc's nose in annoyance.
"Not what, I'm only just giving you a friendly 'Good morning'," retorted Lycanroc cheekily as he mimicked Torracat, irking the little Fire Type as he also playfully patted him on his back which caused him to yowl and land on his stomach.
"Stop it! Calm down! Come on, both of you! Cut it out!" Rotom-Dex shrieked, his screams unknowningly waking up the washing machine as it opened a pair of eyes and blinked in surprise with an agape mouth, prompting an awkward moment from Sarah, Silvally, and Blitz as they looked at the machine and paled from its eyes and mouth.
"Uh... Hello?" the washing machine greeted slowly which got startled screams out of Silvally, Blitz, and Sarah as they fell back after an awkward moment of looking at it.
"Rotom, guys! The washing machine the man and Machoke from earlier brought, it's alive!" Blitz panicked and pointed a frightened finger at it, calling for the others to see what they're seeing as the surprised Rotom looked around curiously and wondered where it was.
"What is that thing?!"
"I knew it! That's no ordinary washing machine, that's a Rotom in Wash Form!" cried a flustered Silvally and Sarah.
But, the others paid no attention to this startling discovery as Torracat finally had enough of Lycanroc's playfulness as he jumped back and fired an Ember attack at him, prompting the Rock Type to dodge it but also consequently result in Rowlet being hit by accident as he slept.
"GAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!" Rowlet screamed in pain.
"Oops/Sorry!" Lycanroc and Torracat paled fearfully.
Hearing his brother's screams of pain also shook Meltan awake as he then turned and saw Rowlet scorched by Torracat's Ember, causing him to scream worriedly as he rushed over to him, "Big Brother, Big Brother! Are you alright?!"
Rowlet could only groan in pain as he twitched a little but immediately after he got his bearings, he glared hard as his assailant and Lycanroc and wanted payback for them interrupting his beauty sleep.
"WHY, YOU LITTLE-! I'LL TEACH YOU, HYYYYAH!" Rowlet roared fruiously as he took to the air and darted forward before pulling himself up to land a kick with his right claw, scaring Torracat and Lycanroc as they dodged and a poor still-sleeping Pikachu ended up taking the brunt of the kick.
"DAAAAGH!" Pikachu screamed in pain as his cheeks soon began to spark.
"Hu-OOPS!" Rowlet cooed with a nervous sweatdrop, realizing his mistake too late which got Silvally, Blitz, and Sarah's attention as they saw what had happened.
"W-W-W-Wait!"
"No, don't you dare, you muppet!" spluttered Blitz and Silvally to Pikachu after seeing his cheeks spark.
"NOOOOOOOOOOO!" Sarah screamed in a moment of slow-motion as she tried to stop Pikachu from using Thunderbolt to shock everybody.
But, it was too late; at that moment, Pikachu ended up shocking everybody in the room save for Blitz as he took in the attack with his Lightning Rod ability. But, the same could not be said for Rotom-Dex and the Wash Form Rotom as they both screamed in pain from the electricity they were taking in and they felt themselves pulling away from their desired forms.
"I'M STARTING TO GO NU-U-U-U-U-U-UTS!"
"ME-E-E-E-E-E, TOO-O-O-O-O-O-O-O!" Rotom-Dex and the Wash Form Rotom exclaimed before they were soon expelled from their desired machines and they zipped and bobbed around the room before they crashed into each other, causing the Wash Form Rotom to end up in the Pokedex while the heroes' Rotom became the washing machine by the time Pikachu stopped.
On the other hand, while Blitz seemed perfectly fine thanks to his Lighting Rod ability and Meltan a safe distance from everybody as he came over, he looked awkwardly at the others as Lycanroc, Rowlet, Torracat, Pikachu, and Sarah were knocked out with the princess charred all over and twitching.
"Uh... Mom, Silvally, guys...?"
"Big Brother, um... Are you okay?" they asked awkwardly as they sweatdropped with Meltan poking at his unconscious brother-in-arms, unsure of what to say as they only got pained groans from everybody.
A couple of hours later, Ash, Burnet, and Kukui returned home from their shopping trip as Ash called out, "We're home!"
As they went inside to see if the others are doing okay without them and let them know they returned, they suddenly noticed the Rotom Washing Machine in the house, unaware that the Rotom they're all familiar with having bonded with it because of Pikachu's Thunderbolt.
"Hang on, what's that?"
"Hmm, a washing machine?" Kukui puzzled as Burnet went over to it and examined the machine in surprise.
"That's funny, I don't remember buying this, especially since our own washing machine was working perfectly. And, what happened to Sarah?" the female scientist quizzed curiously.
"Excuse me," called the delivery man from before as he and Machoke returned. "I semeed to have delivered a package to this address by mistake."
The washing machine was soon loaded back onto the truck he and his Machoke were driving and it was ready to be taken to the correct address this time as the delivery man apologized for the mix-up, "Sorry for any trouble I might've caused to you and the princess."
"No harm, no foul. And, don't worry about the gold, keep the change. You earned it for your delivery efforts," Kukui reassured as the man and his Machoke left.
"Sarah, Rotom! We're back, are you in here?" Ash called as they went back inside while Pikachu and his Alola family were now playing with each other until... "WAAAH!"
Ash screamed in bewilderment and even Kukui and Burnet were startled when they saw a groaning Silvally and Sarah, both of them still knocked out from Pikachu's accidental Thunderbolt while Blitz sighed in defeat, having tried everything he could think of to wake them up.
"What on earth happened here?!" Kukui asked worriedly, prompting Blitz to point at Pikachu, Lycanroc, Rowlet, and Torracat (not counting Meltan as he pointed at him while he was busy eating his lunch the Alolan Pikachu managed to prepare for him and shook his head), causing said Pokemon to suddenly freeze up in surprise and turn sheepishly to the glaring trio.
"Oh, no! What did you do?!" Ash groaned at his Pokemon before he looked at Meltan and smiled softly as he went over to him. "Well, at least you didn't make any trouble for her this time. Right, Meltan?"
"Pikachu, would you all care to explain what Blitz means by this?" Burnet asked expectantly, showing Sarah and Silvally still knocked out and leaving Ash's entire Alola Team (sans his hungry Meltan) to wince and look at each other sheepishly as they tried to think of an excuse.
"If I may offer a story since I've witnessed the whole thing, quite entertaining given I had front-row seats to the show, really," a voice called and Discord popped up from the TV, spooking everybody as they reeled back and screamed at him.
"DON'T DO THAT!" shrieked a frightened Burnet, Kukui, and Ash.
"Sheesh, everyone's a critic. But, to get to the main event before you waddled home, your Torracat and Lycanroc were bantered and playing after they woke up until Fire Breath burned your Rowlet with Ember in order to get Rock Fang here to stop. Then, as payback, Leaf Owl tried to go Karate Kid on them but 'accidentally' ended up kicking Pikachu which made quite a shocking impression on everyone including your Pokedex and the living washing machine. Although Blitz made it out unscathed, your other two guests of honor are gonna be feeling that tomorrow morning."
Ash, Burnet, and Kukui groaned and facepalmed as the Kanto trainer and the Alolan Professor rounded up on the former's Pokemon while they all flinched from their disappointed glares, "You guys have done a lot of crazy things like this but blowing things out of proportion like that was beyond wild!"
"Look, rough-housing each other through with a little Play Rough is fine enough as long as it's not intentional and it's for fun but what you've done because of a simple misunderstanding while we were gone is very irresponsible! Now, when Sarah and Silvally come to and we start treating them, I think you'd best give them a good apology. Do you all understand?"
"Yes..." Pikachu, Lycanroc, Torracat, and Rowlet whimpered knowingly with remorseful bows.
"Hold on," Ash then said once he looked for Rotom-Dex and found the Pokedex lying on the floor inoperational before he picked it up and examined it, seeing that the Rotom inside it was somehow gone or sleeping. "That's weird. Rotom, hey."
"What's wrong?" Kukui asked as he and Burnet approached him.
"It's Rotom, look," Ash replied, handing him the Pokedex for him to see.
"Let's see."
Kukui looked Rotom-Dex all over to see if either there was any damage done to him or he somehow turned himself off unexpectedly, still unaware that the Rotom they all know and love was missing and the Rotom that's inside the Pokedex wasn't their close friend. He then tapped the screen to see if he can wake him up and when he finally got the Living Pokedex back up and running, what they were met with was a surprise and nothing like the original Rotom-Dex.
"Hey," he said as the three of them saw the Pokedex booting itself up as it buzzed in a different and much more mechanical voice tone, "...Rebooting, Rotom Pokedex."
"Sounds like he's rebooting," Burnet remarked.
"Do you think Rotom's broken after he got shocked?" Ash asked worriedly about their friend.
"I'm not sure," Kukui answered as it finished rebooting and...
"Alola, nice to meet you. Wash!" Rotom-Dex greeted as he floated in front of them but with a more robotic kind of voice, unlike his regular voice.
Ash and the married researchers looked a little baffled by this and even Discord was taken aback watching the scene before him as the Kanto trainer commented, "Hey, Rotom's acting really weird."
"My name is... My name is... My name is... My name is... Rotom Wash! My name is Rotom Wash!"
"Hey, Rotom, you know me! Ash, Ash!" Ash called, trying to get the oddball Rotom-Dex's attention and have him remember without realizing the truth behind its new personality.
"Audio settings complete and ready. Alola, my name is Rotom Pokedex Wash, I greet you."
"Boy, Rotom really is acting weird today. I wonder why," Ash stated awkwardly as he was scanned.
"Confirming user: Ash. Alola, User Ash. Wash!"
"Yeah, uh... Alola," Ash meekly replied as Sarah and Silvally started to come to, trying to get a grip of themselves after the shock they got from Pikachu's Thunderbolt.
"Oh, man... What hit me...?"
"Ugh, I'm so gonna kill Pikachu and bring rubber gloves with me next time if I'm gonna fall for that..."
Then, the oddball Rotom Pokedex flew over to his Pikachu, Lycanroc, Torracat, and Rowlet as they continued playing and began to pull on his cheeks, something the original Rotom-Dex never did the first time he met Ash and Pikachu.
"Ow! Huh?! Hey! Wha-Ouch! Quit it, stop...!" Pikachu yelped in pain.
"Well, he appears to be working well again."
"I guess. But, don't you think he's acting weirder today?"
"I think it might be because his systems were set back to default after he rebooted," Kukui, Ash, and Burnet thought.
"You're not even close..." groaned Sarah as they turned to her and Silvally while Blitz tended to them.
"Sarah, Silvally, you alright?" Ash asked worriedly as she rubbed her head and Silvally glared at his playing Pokemon, making them flinch before they sheepishly apologized.
"Sarah, I'm so sorry this happened to you two at the worst possible time," Kukui replied, giving her and Silvally an apologetic frown as well.
"Sarah, we're hoping you can confirm what Discord told us just now. Is it true that the Rotom in the Pokedex is actually a Wash Form Rotom and not our Rotom?" Burnet asked.
Sarah looked at the oddball Rotom Pokedex and upon hearing its "Wash!" phrase and seeing how strange he acted compared to the normal Rotom-Dex, she could only confirm what Discord explained, "Yeah, that's a Wash Form Rotom inside the Pokedex and believe it or not, it was from the washing machine that was delivered here by mistake."
"Wash Form Rotom?" puzzled Ash before the surprisingly unaffected Rotoscope reappeared.
"Yeah, it's Rotom Elementary 1-0-1, dude! Don't you know that we Rotom have many forms such as Heat, Wash, Frost, Fan, and Mow? As it turns out, after hearing all that jazz earlier, we must've been handed a Rotom Washing Machine by mistake," he confirmed as he showed off the different Rotom Forms on his screen.
"Ooh, I almost forgot to mention the good part! Just as Pikachu shocked everybody, your Rotom and the Wash Form Rotom bounced about before they ended up switching places!" Discord cackled.
"WHAAAT?!" Ash gawked in horror.
"Seriously, Ash? And, you told me you knew about the different forms of Rotom when you mentioned that story about how you, Brock, and Dawn ended up crossing paths with a prank-happy Rotom in the Sinnoh Region," Sarah groaned as she gave him a leveled glare of disappointment. "That Rotom inside the Pokedex now is the Wash Form Rotom and your Pikachu's Thunderbolt got both him *AND* our Rotom in a Freaky Friday repeat after we heard what happened to Nate and Steel before we destroyed Evox! Sheesh, can't any of us at school ever trust you to know anything about Pokemon for future group projects?"
"Hey, don't be mad at me! I didn't think something like this could actually happen!" Ash snapped back, annoyed.
"So, this Rotom here is the one in its Wash Form!"
"Which means, our Rotom..."
"IS IN THE RETURNED WASHING MACHINE!" Ash, Burnet, and Kukui exclaimed in horrified shock while all Sarah and Silvally can do was sigh and Blitz shook his head in subdued exasperation as he shrugged.
As for Rotom, the delivery driver and his Machoke were continuing on their way to deliver the washing machine to the correct address and even they were none the wiser regarding the unexpected switch. In the back of the van, Rotom began to wake up but he noticed that he was in the returned washing machine and he was in his Wash Form.
"W-Where am I?" he questioned in bewilderment just as the delivery truck stopped at the Pokemon Center before the delivery man and his Machoke unloaded him and placed him inside the washroom at the back where Nurse Joy does the laundry.
It turns out that Nurse Joy was the one who ordered the Rotom Washing Machine in the case of the old washing machine breaking down after some time of faithful laundry service or the fact she needed one to help her cope with the laundry she had to do alone prior to it being mistakenly delivered to Prof. Kukui's home. And, like the delivery man and his partner as well as Ash, Kukui, and Burnet before the three heard everything from Discord and Sarah, she was also unbeknownst of what had happened to the Wash Form Rotom and Rotom-Dex.
"Thank you so much for your help, Jake," Nurse Joy thanked the delivery man, Jake.
"You're welcome, Nurse Joy. And, thanks again for your service!"
"See you later!" Jake and Machoke smiled as they left to continue their delivery rounds.
"What's happened to me? What's going on? I'm now in a washing machine. Okay, think, Rotom. Think," Rotom thought, trying to recall everything that happened. "Let's see, I was also shocked by Pikachu's Thunderbolt earlier and when I woke up, I was already in Wash Form Rotom. But, where's my Pokedex? What happened to-MMPH?!"
Suddenly, Rotom found himself being enveloped by clothes which is the excess laundry from passing trainers that stayed for a day or two that Nurse Joy had to do but the Pokemon Nurse was so eager to try out the new Rotom Washing Machine she got, she still didn't know that the Rotom that was in it wasn't really the Wash Form Rotom.
"Phew! Now, that I have my new Rotom Washing Machine, I can finally do all the laundry that's been piling up around here as of late," she smiled, wiping her brow as she looked over the instructions on how to use the washing machine she ordered while still not in the know that it was actually a Wash Form Rotom. "Now, let's see... First, turn it on. Second, hit the wash button, and away we go!"
As she worked on her new "washing machine", she followed the instructions to a tee as she pushed the "On" button which was one of his eyes, making Rotom flinch in pain. But, his suffering and worries continued as he screamed in fright with the clothes inside being jostled about while they were being cleaned, the sight of it spooking Nurse Joy as well as she looked on. This was not a pleasant experience for Rotom as he was most inexperienced with his other forms and he didn't know how to control himself in any of them, the soap suds inside of him building and building from the washing machine's interior before the leaked out and he screamed in panic. It was too much for him to bear and he was immediately expelled from the washing machine after glowing blue, making Nurse Joy yelp again as he zoomed around the laundry room in a panic and entered the power circuit.
After that, Sarah, Ash, Burnet, and Kukui, joined by Wash Form Rotom, Silvally, Blitz, Pikachu, Rowlet, Torracat, and Lycanroc, arrived seconds later and found a flustered Nurse Joy in the laundry room.
"Nurse Joy! Are you alright?" gasped Kukui as he helped her out of the ocean of soap suds.
"Yes, I'm fine. But, I don't understand, is this thing brand new or something?" she quizzed.
Sarah quickly brought out her wand and used her Wind Manipulation to clean up the mess that was made before the Oddball Rotom Pokedex noticed the original source for its Wash Form and grinned happily at the sight of it.
"Rotom Wash!" he cheered before he expelled himself out of the Pokedex (which Sarah caught as he did so) and reentered the washing machine, regaining his Wash Form. "Rotom Wash!"
"Oh! I was wondering what happened to that little Rotom!" blinked Nurse Joy blinked in surprise.
"Nurse Joy, we're so sorry! Our Rotom got switched with the Rotom that was in the washing machine you ordered and we gotta find him, quick! Have you seen him?" Ash asked worriedly.
"Oh, I'm sorry, Ash. But, I have no idea where he went."
"Oh, man! The electrical current, he must've somehow got himself expelled from the washing machine after it was first operated and he must be in the power system via the wires!" Sarah realized, seeing the electrical current.
"That means he could be halfway through the island before we could catch him!" Kukui realized.
"How are we ever gonna track him while he's inside the electrical currents?" Ash fretted as Rotoscope then appeared.
"Never fear, honch-pockets! You leave the search and rescue to Good Ol' Rotoscope," Rotoscope declared as he activated his GPS and configured it to hone in on Rotom's location. "I'm reworking my GPS to have it hooked on to my old guy's location so wherever he goes, I'm sure we'll be right behind him. And, right now, I'm seeing that he's heading for...Lana's house!"
"Lana's house?!"
"Let's go!" Sarah and Burnet gasped as the group all headed out to find Rotom and get him back in his original place.
With Rotom, he was blazing through the electrical currents in the wires at a blistering rate as a series of ions started gathering around and moving in sync with him as he could only whine, "My Pokedex! Oh, moving around in these wires feels kinda uncomfortable! WAH! I'm getting sucked in, HEELLP!"
At the Water Type student's house, Little Sarah and Harper were having fun using a fan in the living room while Primarina and Sandy looked after them, the two of them cooing in awe and breathing into it as they liked how it made them sound funny, switching the fan between them.
"Hmm..." The Soloist Pokemon could only smile along with Sandy at the two siblings being up to their usual comedy antics while Lana does the dishes.
"Now, girls, play nice and try not to break the fan, okay?" she called as she could hear Harper and Little Sarah starting to squabble over the fan's position in front of them.
"This way!"
"This way!"
"This way!"
"This way!" This went on and on as they were unaware of Rotom being sucked into the fan as he arrived at the trio's house until he eventually turned to his Fan Form.
"WAH! Oh, great, now I've changed into the Fan Form Rotom! But, where am I?" he quipped, looking around before he saw Little Sarah and Harper turning him on between them. "Harper, Little Sarah? Zoinks, I must've followed the currents to Lana's house!"
"Rotom!"
"Whoa, dude! What are you doing in that thing, where's your Pokedex?" Primarina and Sandy gawked in bewilderment at seeing their friend in his current predicament.
"Primarina, Sandy! Boy, am I glad to see you! I don't know what's happened to me, I lost my Pokedex this morning after being hit by Pikachu's Thunderbolt while Sarah and I are house-sitting! And, now, I'm trying to get back to them before anything crazier happens to me like being a Wash Form Rotom at the Pokemon Center!"
But, his troubles began again once Harper and Little Sarah noticed his arms and began pulling them as they went on squabbling, cutting the conversation off as he yelped in pain.
"This!"
"This!"
"This!" Then, Rotom finally had enough as he pulled himself free and flew around in a panic as the twins chased after him.
"Lana! Lana! Hey, Lana, you home?!" Sarah called frantically, knocking on the door.
"Sarah?" Lana blinked in surprise before she heard her sisters chasing after Rotom, "Now, what are you two do-WAH!"
"WILL YOU TWO STOP CHASING ME AROUND, ALREADY?" Rotom screamed as he flew past her and startled her, making her fall.
"Hey, Lana! Are you there?" Ash called, surprising Lana as she turned to the door and heard him as well.
"Hmm, Ash?" she blinked before Primarina and Sandy went over to the door and opened it to reveal Ash, Sarah, their Pokemon, and the married professors on the other side as Lana joined her partners.
"Hey, you two, how's it-huh? Professor Kukui, Professor Burnet, what's wrong?"
"Hey, Lana. Long story short, we were wondering if Rotom's inside your house; he accidentally got himself mixed up with a Wash Form Rotom earlier this morning and we're trying to find him before we can get him back to his Pokedex," Sarah panted hurriedly, showing her second best friend Rotom's empty Pokedex.
Lana gasped as she looked at the fan her sisters are chasing and gasped in shock and horror as she recognized him right away while he continued to be tailed by the excited Harper and Little Sarah, "Oh, no! Harper, Sarah, stop! That fan's our Rotom friend, wait!"
"SOMEBODY HELP ME BEFORE THEY TRY TO TUG-O-WAR ME AGA-D'OH!" Rotom screeched in panic before he eventually hit a wall and expelled himself from the fan in a pained daze before he recovered and made his way back through the electrical currents, missing his party as they saw him leave. "Being inside a fan can be so dizzy! That was much worse than being in that washing machine, I've got to my Pokedex! I've got to get back to being Rotom-Dex!"
"Rotom!"
"Stop!"
"Come back!"
"Wait!"
"Oh, man!"
"Great, now what?!" Kukui, Blitz, Pikachu, Ash, Lana, and Silvally gasped, disgruntled.
"Do you think he'll be okay?"
"He's much harder than solid granite with that radical Pokedex shell of his or that squishy electrical body of his. He's fine," Blitz and Sandy remarked.
"He's not gonna make it easier for us if he can't hear us!" Burnet replied, knowing that they were in for a wild goose chase before she turned to Rotoscope. "We've got to hurry and get him back in the Pokedex! Rotoscope, where's Rotom heading right now?"
"By my advanced and state-of-the-art GPS system, it looks like our resident Rotom is blazing his way all over town to...to Lillie's house, at this point!" Rotoscope informed, showing the coordinates and the path he was taking to Lillie's house.
"You think he'll end up there with how he's going through the electrical currents?" Lana asked worriedly for Rotom's safety.
"If we go now, we'll be able to catch him quickly before he floats off!" Ash decided.
"And, if our wild goose chase doesn't bear fruit with his continuing to return to us?" Blitz quizzed.
"I guess we'll have to keep on tailing him until we do catch him before he's hurt but we'll need to anticipate where he's going based on the electrical currents pulling him over or wherever he's going just to get back to us," Sarah told him before they rushed off.
"Wait for me!"
"We're coming, too!"
"Wait up!" Lana and her partners shouted as they joined in the chase.
Rotom was still having it rough not being in his Pokedex; since he realized he had somehow traveled to Lana's house via the electrical current, he realized he can go back to Prof. Kukui's place the same way but instead of returning to his Pokedex and his party, he ended up in the TV set where he inadvertently "starred" in a news program and an episode of Alolan Detective Laki where he believed he was being framed as the criminal when Laki "pointed" at him and started fretting what would happen if he didn't get back to his Pokedex which would be Ash and the others dumping him in the trash.
"WAAAAHH! DON'T DO IT! I have to go and find them!" he panicked as went back to the electrical current and went off to find his friends. "ASH, SARAH, EVERYBODY! WHERE ARE YOU?!"
"I can't believe we're spending the best part of our day off from school scrambling after Rotom because you, Rowlet, Torracat, and Lycanroc were having a field day when you ganged up on each other after your naps over something trivial and shocking yourselves along with Mom and Silvally and made us lose Rotom in the process!" grumbled Blitz to Pikachu as everyone continued their hunt for Rotom on their way to Lillie's house.
"Are you kidding me?! What happened this morning was beyond our control!"
"How were we supposed to know this was gonna happen?!"
"If you warned us ahead of time about this, we wouldn't be in hot water right now!"
"Yeah! Have some sympathy for Arceus' sake, man! We already feel like fools for what we did to them!" Pikachu, Torracat, Rowlet, and Lycanroc snapped angrily in response.
"Well, you better pray that losing him couldn't be any worse given how much of a big baby he's being since he's on his own wild goose chase for us!" Silvally barked as they all continued on their way, keeping their eyes peeled for Rotom.
"Just try not to worry about it too much as long as we find and get him back safely before he hurts himself!"
"Yeah, dudes! Eyes on the prize, Cool Dude Rotom needs us, fast!" Primarina and Sandy remarked, trying to get the arguing Pokemon to remain on the big picture.
But, while they continued on their way with Sarah, Kukui, Lana, Ash, and Burnet to Lillie and her family's estate, Rotom appeared out of a light post until he spotted what looked like a new Pokemon that looked like a small smokey humanoid being with a headgear-like area around its face, two curled horns/ears with a wispy horn between them, orange-red eyes with yellow pupils with a yellow oval marking above it, a small bump on both its wrists, a smoky neck collar, and a trail of shadows on both feet: a Marshadow.
"Is that, a RARE POKEMON!" Rotom gleefully said before it vanished in the light post's shadow, much to his dismay.
In fact, missing his only chance to take solid evidence of the Gloomdweller Pokemon as it disappeared made him realize how much he had taken being a Living Pokedex for granted as he moaned, "Aww, man... I want to return to my Pokedex, maybe then, I could've taken a few good pictures of it before it vanished. But, where could Ash, Sarah, Kukui, and Burnet be?"
But, Rotom immediately let out another yelp as he found himself sucked into the electrical current again, and this time, he was heading uncontrollably to Lillie's house.
At her family's estate, Lillie was spending her day off from school with Snowy and Magearna beside her having tea and cakes from Hobbes while she read her diary (Snowy taking a nap as she did so while her Secret Princess read with her charge), recounting everything she had written in it including the time when she finally remembered Gladion's Silvally and how he saved her from both Nihilego years ago and Faba years after which resulted in her amnesia finally being cleared and her being able to touch Pokemon again. While she read, however, the four of them had no idea that Rotom had appeared and he went inside the lawnmower one of the family maids was using to mow the grass for the day.
"Uh... Where am I?" Rotom asked worriedly as he discovered that he was now a Mow Form Rotom before one of the maids in question came over and grabbed the handle, started his engine, and mowed the lawn again before he saw Lillie, Snowy, and Magearna as he was turned to his right.
"Ah! It's Lillie, maybe she can help me!" he beamed, quickly hitting the gas to meet up with her and dragging the startled maid along for the ride. "Lillie, LILLIE! It's me!"
"Huh, a Mow Rotom? But, why is it...uuuuh, AAAAAAHHHHH!"
"EEEEEEEEEEEEE!" Lillie blinked before she and Snowy screamed and her Magearna let out a few frightened beeps of her own before they ran away from him, just as Sarah and her party appeared and saw what was going on.
"There he is, and Lillie, too!" Lana called in alarm.
"AHHHH! Why is there a Mow Rotom chasing after me?!" Lillie wailed as she, Snowy, and her Magearna continued to run for their lives.
"Now, he's a Mow Rotom!" Ash gasped, seeing what became of Rotom.
"Sarah, Ash, Lana! Professors! HELP! A Mow Rotom's after me!"
"Lillie, wait! You got it all wrong! That's *OUR* Rotom friend in that lawnmower!" Ash cried out as Hobbes rushed back out and saw his charge in danger.
"What?!"
"Unbelievable! Don't worry, Ms. Lillie, I'll help you! Oricorio, come out and use Revelation Dance!" Hobbes bellowed, sending out his partner who chirped happily while doing her cheerleading dance and shocked Rotom with her species' signature move.
"Hobbes, wait! That Rotom's our friend you've hit!" Kukui yelped.
"Wah! I'm going-NOT AGAAAIIIINNNNN!" Rotom cried as he was expelled out of the lawnmower and zipped away again, causing Lillie and her two Pokemon to fall on the ground in relief and everybody went to check on them.
"Are you alright, Ms. Lillie?"
"I think so."
"Sorry about that, Lillie, but that was our Rotom friend. He got mixed up with a Wash Form Rotom Nurse Joy got along with a washing machine for the Pokemon Center and now, he's looking for his Pokedex and we're trying to find him before he gets hurt," Ash explained as Rotom was on the move once more.
"Oh, dear!" gasped Snowy while Lillie's Magearna beeped in surprise.
"Chop-chop, dudes and dudettes! No rest for the weary as he's going for a meal at Mallow's family restaurant!" Rotoscope cried as he showed Rotom heading for Aine's Kitchen.
"Mallow, Shaymin, and Tsareena must be working with her Dad today!" Lana realized.
"Oh, boy... I hope Mallow and her Dad won't be too mad at him if they found out he's there and with all the ruckus he'll unintentionally cause," Sarah winced, now worrying over how Mallow, Tsareena, Shaymin, and Abe would handle Rotom due to his inexperience with his other forms.
Sarah had every right to be worried along with the others because, from the electrical currents, Rotom soon found himself at Mallow's family's restaurant as he entered a microwave and became Heat Form Rotom, "Whoa! Oh, man! Now, what happened to me?!"
"Sorry for the short notice, Kiawe!" Mallow called as Rotom heard her speaking with Kiawe who made a MooMoo Milk delivery for her family, gasping and blinking in surprise.
"No problem, Mallow. Here's your order," Kiawe replied as he gave her the MooMoo Milk she and Abe ordered for the restaurant.
"Those voices... Mallow, Kiawe!"
"Thanks so much. I'm glad we could help Dad order some on a day like today."
"We very much appreciate it, especially with all the trouble you had to go through with this one."
"Yeah, you're lifesavers, Mr. Charizard!" Tsareena and Shaymin thanked Charized.
"It was nothing, I'm just glad we're able to restock you when we heard about your milk shortage," smiled Charizard.
"Yeah, that's rather unusual now that I think about it. I mean, running out of MooMoo Milk like that, I wonder what could've happened?" Kiawe pondered.
"I know, right? We just had a lot of cream stew and gratin orders which were surprisingly popular when we dished them out after they were completed," Mallow concurred. "As a token of my appreciation for your efforts, have some custard! I'm just making it right now, hold on!"
Rotom gaped happily as he saw Mallow and her partners entering the kitchen to give Kiawe and Charizard some custard and thought to himself, "Here she comes! Now's my chance and I can't mess up this time!"
He opened the microwave door on his own which threw Mallow, Tsareena, and Shaymin off as they stared at him in confusion, not recognizing him at all in his Heat Form, "That's funny, it opened on its own."
"Strange, I don't remember the microwave being like that before."
"Is it finished? But, it hasn't set..."
"Why did it open the door, then?"
Unfortunately, Rotom made another big mistake because, as he was in his Heat Form when he opened his microwave door to try and speak with the three girls, he moved on his own and got closer to them and frightened them as they ran back out into the dining room, screaming with fright.
"IT'S ALIVE!"
"RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!" Tsareena and Shaymin shrieked, puzzling Kiawe and Charizard as they saw them coming out.
"Girls?"
"Mallow, what's wrong?" they asked before they saw the girls coming towards and then joined them as Mallow pointed at Rotom as he appeared, startling the Fire Type student and his ride Pokemon as they flinched.
"The microwave just moved on its own!" she screamed.
"Could that actually be a Heat Rotom?!"
"GUYS! Can't you see that I'm here?! IT'S ME! ROTOM!" Rotom exclaimed, causing Charizard, Shaymin, and Tsareena to do a double take and gasp in shock at their friend as they recognized him.
"ROTOM!"
"What in Akala happened to you?!"
"You're not inside your Pokedex!"
"Are you okay?" cried the three Pokemon in surprise and bewilderment as their trainers just screamed in panic (since they can't understand Rotom in his current form) and huddled together.
"Am I okay, AM I OKAY? NO, I'm not okay! Most certainly, NOT, OKAY! I lost my Pokedex after switching places with a Wash Form Rotom this morning, I can't find it anywhere!" Rotom ranted as he flailed in exasperation and continued panic just as Sarah, Lana, Lillie, Ash, their Pokemon, Kukui, and Burnet entered the restaurant.
"Pyroar, let's go! Iron Tail!" he shouted, bringing out his Royal Pokemon.
"Kiawe, wait! That's not a-!" Sarah cried in alarm but was too late as Rotom was struck by Pyroar's Iron Tail and he was forced out of the microwave before he was sent back into the wiring. "Heat Form Rotom..."
"Mallow, Kiawe! Are you alright?" Lillie asked and she and Lana tended to their friends.
"Yeah, we're fine."
"What was that all about?" they replied.
"That was our Rotom friend who was originally the microwave. He was separated from the Pokedex this morning so we're trying to get him back before he hurts himself somehow," Ash replied.
"AH! Rotom?!"
"Did I just hit our friend back there?!"
"Are you sure that was him?!" Mallow, Kiawe, and Pyroar gasped in horror and bewilderment.
"The one and only, dudes and dudette! As Ash noted, he was swapped for a Wash Form Rotom by mistake which was a laundry job delivery for Nurse Joy, and now, he's trying to find us and his Pokedex we have here," Rotoscope informed as Burnet showed them, Charizard, Shaymin, and Tsareena the empty Pokedex.
"He's also accidentally switching to his different forms depending on the electrical currents in the wiring connecting all of the buildings on the island so he could be anywhere if it wasn't for Rotoscope and his GPS," Lillie added.
"Where's he going, now, Rotoscope?" Lana asked, turning to Sarah's Rotom Phone as he activated his GPS again.
"I can't say for sure since he keeps moving about trying to hunt us down but our main man is now heading for Sophocles' house at the speed of light!"
"Oh, I wonder how he's going to deal with Rotom should he accidentally find himself in a nearby electrical appliance like our microwave!"
"Or, a fan!"
"Or a lawnmower!"
"Or, a washing machine!" Mallow, Lana, Lillie, and Ash fretted.
"Let's see if we can help them should they meet up with each other!" Kiawe suggested.
"Good idea, let's go and make a Quick Attack over to Sophocles' house and fast!" agreed Kukui as they rushed out to Sophocles' place.
At his place, Sophocles was enjoying his day off from school as he, Togedemaru, and Vikavolt focused on his personal inventions while getting the occasional meal/snack whenever they get hungry. What they didn't know was that they were about to have an unexpected guest in the form of Rotom as he appeared in the kitchen and became a Frost Form Rotom via his family's refrigerator.
"Oh, dear... This time, I've changed into my species' Frost Form. Oh, this is so embarrassing but I do feel kinda stuffed as well," Rotom thought as he looked himself over and rubbed his makeshift "stomach" from the food Sophocles and his family had inside his compartments.
Speaking of the devil, the Electric Type student in question and his partners entered the kitchen as they prepared to have a snack after some tinkering on his computer in his laboratory for Pokemon data and what else he might be looking into.
"Ah... All of that computer programing has made me hungry which means it's time for a well-earned meal of some ice cream," he grinned as he looked at his refrigerator, not realizing that the refrigerator was actually Rotom.
"Let's eat!"
"Yeah, I'm starving!" Togedemaru and Vikavolt cheered as they made their way to the fridge.
"It's Sophocles along with Togedemaru and Vikavolt!" Rotom gasped, seeing his last chance for help as he held himself still while they went over to the freezer to get the ice cream.
"Now, which kind should we eat?" Sophocles grinned, drooling with delight at the sight of all the ice cream in the freezer and not knowing which kind of ice cream to choose before he turned to his partners. "Want some, Togedemaru, Vikavolt?"
"Yeah, give me one! Please, partner?"
"Definitely! I won't mind having an ice cream bar!" Togedemaru and Vikavolt cheered again, eagerly wanting to choose their own ice cream treats.
"Come on, Sophocles! Notice me," Rotom begged as his growing panic and frustration grew which drew the Stag Beetle and Roly Poly Pokemon's attention for they were the only ones to notice and recognize their flustered friend.
"Huh?"
"Hey... Rotom, is that you?" They puzzled in surprise, staring at Rotom in his Frost Form as Sophocles' attention only went to them and not to the Plasma Pokemon.
"Huh? What's wrong, you two?" Sophocles asked when he turned to them again.
That was the last straw for Rotom as he grew red with fury at Sophocles not recognizing him save for Togedemaru and Vikavolt as he unleashed Powder Snow and froze the three of them (just as the two Electric Types panicked and tried to warn him to stop but failed) in solid ice, causing him to gasp in shock and horror as he saw what he did, "Oh, they froze! I'm sorry, Sophocles, guys!"
He quickly expelled himself from the refrigerator but just before he could be pulled by the electrical currents again and make his way back to the Pokemon Center and the washing machine for Nurse Joy (thinking he had no other place to go and he can't find nor understand his friends in his other forms and not knowing about the Wash Form Rotom back in his rightful place), he was suddenly pulled by another source of electricity and he yelped before he found himself in Sarah's hands as she and the others arrived just in time to stop him before he left (even if they were a little too late to save Sophocles and his Pokemon from a little frostbite).
"I got him! Hurry, Burnet, the Pokedex!" she called to Burnet as she brought the Pokedex over and she tried to keep Rotom from running away from them again.
"Here's the Pokedex, put him in!" the female scientist nodded, allowing her to put him in the Pokedex again.
"He's back in!"
"We did it!"
"That's wonderful!" cheered Mallow, Lana, and Lillie.
"Did we do it?" Ash pondered.
"I hope so, we got Rotom back where he belongs safe and sound so we'll have to wait. In the meantime, I think we better break Sophocles, Togedemaru, and Vikavolt out of the ice before they get hypothermia," Sarah replied as she held the Pokedex.
"I'll do it, come on, Pyroar," Kiawe replied as he and Pyroar got to work on thawing the Electric Type student and his partners out just as Rotom-Dex turned himself on.
"Rotom Pokedex, on. Audio Settings, complete," he buzzed as his arms grew back.
"Rotom... Hello, are you okay, buddy?" Sarah replied carefully.
Everybody watched on as Rotom-Dex returned to his normal self and he blinked before he saw all of his friends before him and recognized himself in his old body again, grinning with joy and delight as he buzzed, "HI, GUYS! ALOLA! I'M FINALLY BACK WHERE I BELONG!"
The entire group cheered as Kukui and Burnet smiled in relief as they all took in the sight of their friend finally back in the Pokedex, Sarah smiling on behalf of everybody as she said to him, "Welcome back, Rotom! We missed you as your old self!"
"I'm so happy to see all of you as my normal self again and have I go so much to tell you!"
"Yeah. But, why don't we crash back at my place so you can tell us everything? I'm sure we've all had an off day with everything that happened to you and we could use a break. Who's up for some spa time in my family's spa or video game madness in the game room?!"
Her friends all cheered as they all raised their hands and their Pokemon gathered gave their own happy cries while Kukui and Burnet laughed, also deciding to join them for some time off of the day's excitement. Rotom-Dex was only too happy to agree as he needed a break as well, feeling glad to finally have some downtime after his wild trip through the electrical circuits and all of his species' different forms and that he wanted to apologize to them for spooking his friends as he did.
At Sarah's family's castle, while Mallow, Lana, Lillie, and their Pokemon along with Burnet and Munchlax were getting themselves pampered in her family's spa by Blossom, Persian, and some of the female dragons with them, Sarah, Kukui, and Ash were told everything that had gone on with Rotom-Dex while he was separated from his Pokedex including his first-ever encounter with the Marshadow he saw before it left. Needless to say, they and their Pokemon gathered were amazed at what happened but Ash's Pokemon (Meltan included after the group picked him up) were even more remorseful about being indirectly responsible for his off day.
"Whoa, so you and the Wash Form Rotom from Nurse Joy's Washing Machine were switched?" Ash gaped in awe as Kiawe, Charizard, Pyroar, Sophocles, Togedemaru, and Vikavolt were playing TLOZ: Tears of the Kingdom on Sarah's Nintendo Switch.
"That's right. I'm not sure how Pikachu was able to do it but the power of his Thunderbolt attack somehow caused me and the Rotom inside of her washing machine to swap places by accident. And, when I tried to find you in the others' houses everywhere I looked, you weren't there and I ended up spooking everybody by mistake until you found me at Sophocles' place," Rotom-Dex nodded, making Pikachu, Rowlet, Lycanroc, and Torracat feel guiltier than ever.
"It's a good thing we were able to track you down and Sarah was able to use her Elemental Manipulation of electricity to save you before we lost you and Sophocles' place," smiled Kukui.
"Rotom, I'm sorry. I didn't realize you and that Wash Form Rotom had switched places until it was too late."
"We should've been more careful back home..."
"Yeah, it was our roughhousing that got us all into this mess."
"I guess we should've kept ourselves in better control while Ash and the professors were gone," Pikachu, Lycanroc, Torracat, and Rowlet sighed sadly with Meltan comforting his big brother figure with a gentle hug.
"Yeah, me too... Sorry, Rotom, I shouldn't have been so distracted by Nurse Joy's Rotom Washing Machine and paid more attention to their scuffle."
"We're sorry, man."
"Ditto," Sarah, Blitz, and Silvally replied, feeling sorry about their part in the mix-up as well.
"That's okay, Sarah, Pikachu, guys. I should've done more on my end to keep you all calm and happy as well as handled the unintentional mix-up regarding the Rotom Washing Machine better and I should've known better than to act unintentionally as I did in my other forms when I tried to call you guys for help. Can you all forgive me for the unintentional scares?" Rotom-Dex smiled.
"What are you talking about, Rotom? We're all friends and we'd be lost without you and your knowledge about Pokemon. Plus, you were just as worried for everybody you know and love just by looking out for us as you did," smiled Ash, knowing that everybody forgave him for what he accidentally did to them while trying to find them with Sarah and Kukui nodding in agreement.
"Thanks, Ash, you guys are all the best," Rotom-Dex smiled before he became confused about something. "There's one thing I don't get, however; how did you all manage to find me?"
"I gave them a much-needed helping hand, Roto-Dude. My GPS was able to find out where you're going via the electrical currents so I honed on to your electrical patterns in your Plasma Mode and we followed your signal everywhere we went until we blazed over to Sophocles' pad," Rotoscope replied, leaving Rotom-Dex rather impressed by what his successor had done.
"Wow... You actually went that far just to rescue me?"
"Of course, we're all one family, are we? You know what they always say, 'Ohama means family, family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten'. My buds and I weren't about to throw you in the dump and leave you for broke by hauling your Pokedex to the junk heap if we didn't look for you."
"Really...? Gosh, that might be the nicest thing anybody's ever done for me let alone you," Rotom-Dex replied in amazement before he fiddled with himself and sighed as he turned to his successor and replied, "Rotoscope, I'm sorry about being mad at you at points and not thinking much of you. I guess I was jealous that you were so much more advanced than I was ever since you were given to Sarah and I've been trying to prove myself thinking I could be better than you at anything."
Rotoscope chuckled as he replied, "Hey, come on, Roto-Man. Don't be such a sad sack about it; in fact, I'm amazed by what you could do. I admire you for all the hard work you've done as a Pokedex and, well, I was jealous of you, too."
Rotom-Dex blinked and beeped in shock as he replied, "You were?!"
"Heh, sure, I was! There are tons of things you can do that I can only ever dream about! My kind and I are the latest additions to the era of what people in this world call 'Rotom Technology' but dudes and dudettes didn't think an actual talking and breathing Pokedex capable of human speech and emotions was ever possible until you were invented. You started the whole buzz of actual Rotom Pokedexes including the Pokedex App we Rotom Phones have in our systems and if you weren't here, I don't know where we'd be today. So, for making us possible and for doing the job that came with your arrival... Thanks, bud! What do you say, knock the rock?"
Rotom-Dex felt touched by Rotoscope's words as he then shared a fist bump with Rotoscope and smiled brightly, "Yeah, knock the rock, man! And, don't worry about it, I'm glad I was able to have a friend like you helping Sarah, Ash, and the others whenever you can... In fact, being inside this Pokedex, it suits me perfectly! And, I realize now how much I've taken being our world's first-ever Rotom Pokedex for granted with your arrival. From now on, I'm going to work hard and dedicate myself to being the best Pokedex I can possibly be for all of Alola, the world, and the next generation of Rotom Technology!"
"That's the spirit!"
"Yeah, you go, Rotom!"
"We'll be with you all the way."
"Yeah/You bet," Kukui, Ash, Sarah, and their Pokemon with them cheered in support of their friend.
"Hmm. That's strange, speaking of which, I did mention something about a rare Pokemon that I don't recall having in my databanks. But, I do remember seeing one that's in the shadow of one of the light posts I exited from but since I was in Plasma Form, I must've-AH!" Rotom-Dex cried as he remembered the Marshadow he saw. "That Pokemon's the one I haven't taken a picture of yet and it still must be around Melemele somewhere! I'll be back, I've got to find it right away!"
"Yo! You mind this dex givin' ya a hand with the memory recordin', bro?" Rotoscope called to Rotom, getting his attention as he smiled at his successor and friend.
"Of course! I'm more than happy to have you join me! After all, we're friends, aren't we?"
"Sweet, this Pokemon's gonna be a banger to snap a shot of! See ya 'round, buds! We'll be right back with the new Pokemon data entry of the day!" Rotoscope told everybody as the two of them went off to find the Marshadow while Kukui, Ash, Sarah, and the Pokemon with them laughed happily, figuring that with their newfound friendship, Rotom and Rotoscope are going to have the time of their lives.
As soon as the two of them left, however, Discord reappeared and smirked at the group, "So, I see your little floating calculator is returned to his rightful body with no further chaos, eh, Sarah?"
"Yes, Discord. And, before you ask, we've had enough chaos that's out of your hands or in yours in a way to last us even a day or two," Sarah replied, not in the mood for any nonsense he wants to dish out.
"Well, that's a shame and the show was just getting to the good part. But, since we're in need of some fun to liven up the place a bit after such a hectic day, I hope you won't mind Rotom giving off another transformation mishap to cap everything off before you all turn in and head home for the night, like say...Making our boy of the hour any one of your houses or the castle?"
Everybody involved in Rotom's misadventure paled as they heard what Discord wanted to unleash until they all let out a panicked scream as they cried, "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO/AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!"
*Rotom had quite a day inhabiting different appliances and his various forms and unintentionally giving everybody a rough time with the wild goose chase he ended up putting them through. Hopefully, with the help of them and Rotoscope as his newest friend, he'll always be able to return to the Pokedex safely as the journey continues!
