The struggle between our heroes and Team Rocket is about to come to a head through an upcoming showdown that will determine the ultimate fate of the evil Pokémon syndicate and the royal family they've sought to destroy and capture the Pokémon and dragons in their possession. Jessie, James, and Meowth were once tasked with capturing Bewear and sending her to their Kanto headquarters; however, their affection for her and her son cost them their chance and their place in the organization. This left Matori, Team Rocket's high secretary and right-hand to the syndicate's leader, Giovanni, in charge of their final mission but with a change of plans to take out Sarah and her family and steal their Pokémon for themselves. Deciding to involve himself in the impending battle against his syndicate's royal enemies, Giovanni prepares himself and his forces to take on Alola's beacon of hope. And, with the Matori Matrix by his side, he hopes to establish Team Rocket's footmark on the region to show the world that they are still a force to be reckoned with.
Meanwhile, after being told about his plans by the group's former enemies, Sarah decides that they should take the fight to their former boss and disband them forever, ridding the world of a horrible group of Pokémon thieves that have ravaged the world for years. Our heroes managed to get the drop on Team Rocket with the Dragonstone Patrol and Tsukumaro infiltrating their base, rescuing all of the Pokémon in their possession and handing the grunts over to Officer Jenny after they were put to sleep. But, when a grunt that caught wind of their plan tried to stop them, the old advisor stopped him in his tracks just in time. Will Sarah, her family, and her friends be able to put an end to Team Rocket's treachery? And, with Chien-Pao's brothers in her care, will she be able to show them the good of humanity in the final showdown once they're thrown into the hot seat and Team Rocket sets its sights on them?

(The opening begins when we see legions of Pokemon trainers and their Pokemon training in a giant stadium and amongst them, Sarah, Ash, and the Pokemon School gang are training with their own Pokemon now with the addition of (Asha, Race, Proud, Ziracon, Robbie, and Bella), preparing for the most important chapter of their lives before the trainers and their Pokemon stood at attention and the gang got into a group fighting pose as the song begins. They will eventually take part in the finalized Alola League to determine who is the top Pokemon Trainer in the entire Alola region)

(The Power Rangers Ultra Rescue face off against Evox and his forces in both their and the Power Rangers Beast Morphers' final missions against him, Guzma faces off against either Ash or Sarah as one of them tries to pry into what Kukui knows about him, and one of them facing off against Kukui and Tapu Koko in a full Pokemon battle. The opening ends with Sarah, in human form, unsheathing her family's Sun Sword and holding it high above her before she is joined by Link, Zelda, Blitz, Curly, and Silvally along with Cresselia, Xerneas, Zygarde (10% Forme), Zacian, Zamazenta, Rayquaza, and Giratina on a mountain cliff and the main titles appeared below them)
Pokemon Sun & Moon - The Warrior Princess
In the tropical rainforest, the Matori Matrix (with Matori now in her uniform), joined by the grunts Giovanni brought with him, searched all over for any sign of Sarah and her family. But, no matter how hard they looked around the place, they couldn't find any trace of their intended targets (all while they were being watched by one of the RainWings and LeafWings as before they nodded to each other and left before their leader's enemies find them instead).
Their search ended up fruitless after several minutes, and with no leads to the current location of their targets, they decided to regroup back at their camp to create a new plan to draw the royal family out.
"Ugh! This is ridiculous. How hard is it to find one measly little princess with those Pokemon and the dragons she has on her? She and her family are supposed to stick out like sore thumbs given their numbers," Matori huffed, annoyed.
"Hey, Boss? Not that I want to break your back or anything, but are you sure the girl will agree to your challenge?" Gozu questioned doubtfully. "Those stupid royal rulers cleaned my Aggron's clock when we tangled with them and those dumb researchers AND stole my Aggronite, don't forget."
"The girl and her family won't get far even if they do run, I assure you. We'll find them."
With that, Matori and her matrix and the grunts with them made their way back to camp where Giovanni was waiting for them for a report update.
"Well, any sign of the girl and her family as well as the traitors and the meddling brats with them?" he questioned Matori.
Matori and her matrix saluted before she replied, "I apologize, Sir, but the princess and her entourage as well as her family and the traitors are being elusive. There has been no sign of them in the forest at all. I believe they must be in the cities or towns here on Melemele Island or one of the other islands by this point."
"Don't worry, they can't have gone far. We'll find them and our three traitors no matter what it takes."
"Leader, what is your game plan with the girl once we capture her and her Pokémon? She's gotta be worth millions if we could hook her up with one of our branches in the other regions," Gozu noted.
"And, with the likes of Team Flare, Team Galactic, Team Eclipse, Team Plasma, Team Magma, and Team Aqua out of the way, our path to success is imminent. The princess and her family will be ripe for the picking along with her Pokémon and dragons," added one of the other Matori Matrix members.
"Should we also be worried about the rest of her family, mainly, shall we say, her mother and father? The two of them and the professor who claims to be this Masked Royal cleaned Gozu and his Aggron's clocks. Plus, that battle cost us his Aggronite after we failed to cross over into Ultra Space if you don't remember," snarked a third female member, getting an annoyed huff from Gozu as he glared at her.
"I've thought about it; however, you must remember all the training you've been put through to become part of my elite squadron. You are all the best my syndicate can offer and you did sterling work without fuss compared to Jessie, James, and Meowth with their flub-ups. While the princess and her family have been a thorn in our sides recently, they're bound to falter at some point. They're not invincible as you can imagine; like everybody else, they have a weak link in the chain of power between them and those brats that those traitors failed to break."
"Well, if we want to know what it is, where are those sniveling runts and the girl? They couldn't have possibly run off without tipping us off on their next location!" huffed a fourth Matori Matrix member just as a trio of Thunderbolt attacks from three different directions was fired at them.
"Persian!" Giovanni shouted to his partner as the grunts and the Matori Matrix gasped in shock, allowing his partner to jump up and use Protect and deflect the Thunderbolt attacks that the remaining Team Rocket members barely managed to dodge.
"What was that?!"
"Who's there?"
"Where are you?!"
"Show yourselves!"
"RIGHT NOW!" Gozu and the rest of the Matori Matrix bellowed in fury and shock at the sneak attack as they and the grunts along with Matori and Giovanni readied themselves for battle.
The grunts and the Matori Matrix looked around while Giovanni finally saw Sarah coming out of the brush in front of them with Blitz and Curly walking alongside her from either her right or her left. The three of them glared at the remaining members of Team Rocket including the ringleader himself and his elite squad, the little princess holding her blood father's sheathed sword in her left hand.
"So, you're the Sun Princess of Alola, the slippery little swine of royalty who's managed to avoid the grasp of our old bumbling morons before they were fired. What brings you our way, finally?" Gozu snarked with a smug smirk, chuckling.
"Nothing, I heard you were looking for us after Jessie, James, and Meowth unintentionally clued one of you in on me and my entire family. I knew you would honeycomb all of Alola just for us and my friends so we decided to come to you first. What's more, I also want to ask you whether you intentionally wanted to have them catch Bewear and separate her from her son when she was sent to your base if they proved successful, which they're not. I also wanted to know why you're so interested in my family and I even though you won't last a minute against us and my friends given the odds against you and I want you to confirm whether or not you are responsible for murdering a female Marowak years ago and thus leaving her child orphaned and alone just to take her baby as a buzz box prize," Sarah replied.
Giovanni, the Matori Matrix, and the remaining grunts bristled in shocked fury but kept themselves calm as the leader spat suspiciously, "What are you saying? Don't you know when to not much about like the meddling cock you are, you little royal brat? Don't you know who you are speaking to?"
"I know you're pretty good given what you've been through after my family and I combed through your files after one of my pups hacked your supercomputer's mainframe and your stature in the underworld amongst the Pokémon syndicates that came and went is still very high. That's why I'm here with my Pikachu and asking you all this; you might know because you and your soldiers started the trend years ago after Pokémon Leagues and everything associated with them became a lucrative business."
"Why's that?"
"Since you came here just for me and my family and all of the Pokémon and dragons under our wing, I know you'll never lie to us about your true purpose. But, despite my royal lineage, you and your syndicate made a name for yourselves when you did what you did meaning I'm not worthy of your attention."
"What if we deny everything you've found out? You may have gotten hold of our crime files but will they be enough to throw us behind bars for life?"
"If you deny everything, I could only willingly surrender and my Pokémon and dragons will follow suit. Even if my family and I have proof, you've already influenced a lot of people regarding your prowess and your power and nobody will believe us otherwise when the truth comes out."
Giovanni was growing increasingly intrigued but suspected that Sarah might be bluffing as he narrowed his eyes while his grunts and the Matori Matrix stared inventively before he asked, "So, why did you come after attacking as you did?"
Sarah held firm as she bluffed once more, "I was wrong; I knew you would be a threat of a different kind after I arrived. You're too big for the three of us to deal with alone, not after learning everything you've been through to get what you want for your own gain. We don't have any confidence to fight you."
With that, Sarah, Blitz, and Curly turned and walked off as they prepared to leave but Giovanni and his remaining forces weren't taking it lying down as Matori shouted at them, "Hold it right there!"
She and her matrix unleashed their Pokémon as they fired off their chosen special attacks at the trio but Blitz defended his mother and mate with Electroweb before Curly fired a powerful Thunderbolt, forcing the enemy Pokémon to dodge before Sarah brandished her wand and fired a warning Flipendo spell at them.
Giovanni had to smirk as he gestured for Matori and her team to stand down, chuckling darkly as he looked at the little princess and told her, "If we decided to capture let alone kill you, your Pokémon would've been ours and you'd be a dead girl now. But, even if we let you go, once word gets out about our little meeting, the outsiders who heard about you would soon treat you like a high-ranking criminal official and your Pokémon would be theirs for the taking. Even then, you'll still have to die along with your family and the meddling brats with you and the traitors, too."
Sarah nodded as Giovanni released his Rhydon, Nidoqueen, Nidoking, Kingler, and Gengar to join him and his Persian while they stepped forward to confront her, "But, I don't want my team and I to do that because just by our little chat, I found out that you're the brightest girl of your age and everything you said is logical. You're also impartial and clever with how we fell for your bluff; I've decided we must make it fair so we need to have a fair game with you provided you and your Pokémon and square off against us in a fight to the death. Whether or not you and your family will live and your Pokémon and dragons will remain with you or belong to us will depend on this fight. Our lives will be yours to decide; our bodies, if you decide to do the impossible, are yours, too. You can take us away however you like it...…"
"...I knew this would be the only choice you'd make, Giovanni, because you're too proud. You just don't care for anything other than yourselves and what you want," Sarah sighed before she raised her right hand and snapped her right tall man and pointer in a signal.
At that moment, Chien and his brothers came out of the brush, taking their places beside the little princess, Blitz, and Curly. Despite their continued hatred for humanity and their unwillingness to do anything with their former brother and human master, once they were told about the danger being presented to their new acquaintances, and as per a personal request by Chien, they (reluctantly) agreed to help. Ting-Lu, however, mentioned that they would do so only if they could be given a chance to beat Team Rocket up to help them continue unleashing all of their years' worth of frustration and hatred.
"...The Four Treasures of Ruin."
"From the Paldea Region," Matori and Gozu gawked, surprised as they saw Chien-Pao, Ting-Lu, Wo-Chien, and Chi-Yu together.
"But, how? I thought the Treasures of Ruin were sealed away after the catastrophe involving them 800-500 years ago!" balked a grunt in shock.
"Wouldn't you like to know? Especially since they leveled an entire castle in under twelve hours," Sarah retorted.
"You wouldn't understand what they were going through, anyway. You jerks had it easy compared to them," snorted Blitz.
"Not like you ever would," added Curly.
Even if he couldn't understand Pokémon Speak, Giovanni was intrigued by Chien-Pao and his brothers as he signaled the other grunts to release their Pokémon and prepare for battle. He knew that in addition to the Pokémon and dragons in Sarah's possession, after beating her and her family soon after, the Treasures of Ruin would be his for the taking, thus making them into new weapons of war that would obey only him compared to Mewtwo.
"Even now, you still find a way to surprise me, Princess. It's an honor to meet the Treasures of Ruin in your possession; my crew and I are very interested in testing their strength," he smirked as he, his grunts, and the Matori Matrix prepared to fight.
"We'll see if you'll last a minute against them," Ash spat as he and all his Pokémon finally appeared.
Giovanni and his remaining forces gasped in shock at seeing Ash and Pikachu joined by Lycanroc, Meltan, Rowlet, and Torracat but they were further taken aback as they looked around to find the rest of his and Sarah's friends surrounding them from the plantation in the clearing. What's even worse is that the rest of Sarah's family (adopted and blood) also emerged from the overgrowth, surrounding and trapping the Pokémon syndicate in a circle formation with no way of escape.
"You wanted a free-for-all by ganging up on Chien-Pao and his brothers, Giovanni? You got it," Kiawe remarked firmly as he, Turtonator, and Pyroar glared defiantly at the villains before them.
"All of you vs. Team Rocket? You meddling little rugrats call this a fair fight?" Matori spat incredulously.
"Oh, we're not fighting."
"We thought we'd stand by and let you and Sarah have all the fun."
"Think of us as referees for your little stand-off between your Pokémon and the Ruinous Quartet," Lana, Mallow, and Sophocles huffed knowingly while Lillie gave a determined nod as they and their Pokémon also glared at their enemies hard.
"You think you're invincible?"
"Why don't you prove that against my sister and your new opponents?" Race and Asha challenged as they and their Pokémon and the dragons with them eyed Team Rocket, daring them to try anything funny to cheat their way to victory.
"It's just your Pokémon and my Treasures of Ruin," Sarah informed darkly as the Ruinous Quartet stepped forward and took their places.
"Let's see how far you hooligans will get without any help now that you're here in our family's kingdom," Delilah scoffed as she, Doug, the rest of their family, and the Tomoe Squad appeared.
"Heh, well, isn't that sweet? The entire royal family here to play, all dressed up and nowhere to go," Gozu sneered.
"Shall we, Brothers?" Chien asked his brothers.
"You still remember how to scrap with your sword fangs, do you?" Wo-Chien asked, narrowing his eyes at Chien-Pao.
"Sure, five at a time from what I can remember," nodded Chien, holding himself firm as he felt his brother's cold gaze upon him.
"I'll beat that. I'll take on seven when it's my turn."
"While you're doing that, I'll obliterate eight in the meantime," retorted Ting-Lu, adding his bet to their little chat.
"What about the others?" Chi-Yu whispered, directing them to the Pokémon released by the other grunts.
Ting-Lu looked at them before he returned his attention to Chi-Yu and snarked at him, "You said you could take twelve from that training run we did with those dummies. Well, Little Brother, prove it."
The Beads of Ruin balked in shock at the Vessel of Ruin as he blurted out, "What?!"
"Persian, Fury Swipes! Nidoqueen, Nidoking, use Hyper Beam!" Giovanni began, making the first move as his three chosen Pokémon used their attacks at Sarah.
"Ting-Lu, Chien, Chi-Yu, Wo-Chien, use Ruination on Nidoqueen and Nidoking!" she gasped, allowing Chien and his brothers to charge forward and use Ruination at the same time to break through Nidoqueen and Nidoking's Hyper Beam attacks and strike them down to the ground.
"Blitz, use your Focus Punch! Counter that Persian's Fury Swipes!"
"Eat this, Fang Face!" Blitz taunted as he charged forward and prepared to counter the Kanto Persian's Fury Swipes with his Focus Punch.
"Persian, Protect!" Giovanni countered as his partner brought up her shield, deflecting his Focus Punch and leaving him open for a follow-up attack. "Now, use Power Gem!"
Blitz was shocked as he was hit by the Power Gem and thrown back towards Sarah before he managed to hold his ground after landing back on his feet; he realized that the Kanto Persian's Fury Swipes attack was a feint and after using Protect to block his Focus Punch, she got a lucky shot at him with her Power Gem attack.
"You're as good as Meowth said you were," he admitted, impressed.
"You're not bad yourself for a little squeaker," his enemy replied.
The Kanto Classy Pokémon then faced his tiny opponent as he noticed a small bruise on his front left leg (realizing that the force of Blitz's Focus Punch was fine-tuned to a high degree that allowed him to transmit it through his shield and travel through the ground to his legs and leave a mark on one of them), smirking as he tapped it a bit and replied, "You have form and power down pat, I'll give you that. But, still, you'll need more than that to take me down."
The Kanto Persian then prepared and fired another Power Gem, aiming his attack at Blitz for another shot until Curly jumped in and bounced it back at him with Light Screen.
"Try your Focus Punch again, Blitz!" Sarah shouted, allowing her male Pikachu to charge at the male Kanto Normal Type with Focus Punch again as he dodged the previous attack and subjected himself to his Fighting Type move to his left cheek.
"Hmm, not bad, Princess. It appears your mice can stand up to my Persian quite admirably. But, will the Treasures of Ruin match up to the others?" Giovanni grinned evilly before he pointed at Wo-Chien and Ting-Lu and issued his next orders to two of his other Pokémon while his Persian, Curly, and Blitz continued on with their fight. "Now, Kingler, use Harden and follow with Dragon Pulse on the Tablet of Ruin! Gengar, use your Shadow Ball on the Vessel of Ruin!"
"Ting-Lu, use High Horsepower and plow through Gengar's Shadow Ball! Wo-Chien, use Giga Drain on Kingler!" Sarah countered as she and Giovanni's chosen Pokémon fired off their respective attacks, Ting-Lu barreled through Shadow Ball and bashed a startled Gengar over to Kingler with the Pincer Pokémon being taken by surprise as he crashed into him and both ended up caught in Wo-Chien's Giga Drain attack as a result.
"Blast! Gengar, Kingler! Fight back and don't let those fools overtake you!" Giovanni cursed.
Matori looked to her Matrix and nodded her approval for them to join in as they shouted, "Aggron, jump in with Heavy Slam!"
"Sludge Bomb, Toxicroak!"
"Skunktank, burn 'em with Flamethrower!"
"Purugly, Shadow Ball, now!"
"Split 'em with Stone Edge, Rhyperior!"
According to their masters' strategy, the Matori Matrix's Pokémon attacked Wo-Chien and Ting-Lu without warning, hoping that they would the pair off guard while they were focused on Kingler and Gengar. Their attacks were just about to hit them when they least expected them but Chien immediately jumped to their rescue as he got in front of them and unleashed Defense Burst, absorbing all of the attacks thrown their way when they touched him before he shot them back. The startled Pokemon had no response to the new move from the Sword of Ruin and they were blasted to the ground as the attacks hit them instead, leaving Gozu, Matori, and the rest of her matrix in shocked surprise.
"Aww, no way!"
"What was that?!"
"That was Defense Burst!"
"Defense Burst?!"
"Are you kidding me?!" Gozu and the others gawked.
"No! The Sword of Ruin was able to learn a move that allows a Pokémon to absorb the enemy fire and shoot it back at twice the power like Mirror Coat?" Matori snarled, growing annoyed as she glared at Sarah and Chien (the former holding out a glowing Move Card of the same name that she brought out and activated for the latter).
Even Wo-Chien and Ting-Lu couldn't help but look on in shock after they were forced back by Kingler and Gengar (despite their weakened strength) as they spluttered and their jaws dropped, "C-Chien-Pao!"
"You saved us?!"
"When did you-?"
Chien simply gave them a brotherly smirk as he replied, "One of many new things I've learned from Sarah while I was living with her; looks like I'll be taking out nine of them compared to you two, from now on."
"Now, Chien! You and Chi-Yu use Flame Wheel and Sacred Sword on Persian! Tag in for Blitz and Curly!" Sarah ordered, allowing the Beads of Ruin to charge forward with Chien towards Persian as Curly and Blitz quickly saw them and tagged out.
The Kanto Persian was able to get a flurry of heavy hits on the Pikachu Couple as the three of them fought before they tagged out. However, he was unprepared for Chien and Chi-Yu's assault as they ambushed him with their Sacred Sword and Flame Wheel attacks, pushing him back to Giovanni and the rest of his Pokémon as they regrouped.
While Giovanni gave Gengar and Kingler each an Elixer to help them recover some of the strength they lost from Wo-Chien's Giga Drain attack, the Pokemon belonging to the Matori Matrix picked themselves up and regrouped. Then, Gozu stepped forward alongside his Aggron as he sneered at the little princess, "Pretty crafty, Princess, you lived up to your reputation, much better than I expected."
"But, while I am impressed with how you fought us and our Pokémon outside the box, all you, your mice, and your treasures have done was make me angry. And, you'll all have to pay the price while your family and friends have front-row seats to your demise. Observe...…"
He directed his opponents to the metal collar his Aggron was wearing and there, in the center void, was a new Aggronite that he found beforehand before he showed off his Keystone.
Chien and his brothers were surprised by what they saw but Blitz and Curly were shocked as they blurted out, "Huh?!"
"He has a Keystone and a Mega Stone for his Aggron, too!"
Sarah was speechless as she demanded, "Where did you get that Aggronite?! I thought my parents stole the Aggronite you once had during your scuffle with them, Faba, and Kukui the day my friends and I crossed over into Ultra Space during the incident with Necrozma!"
"Pay attention and you might learn something; the Aggronite you see before you is indeed a new Mega Stone but you can thank the boss for supplying me with it that he had on standby. While those three bozos flunked about in the Kalos Region, they've tipped us off on the research on Mega Evolution done by your friend's dear Prof. Sycamore in Lumiose City..."
Sarah gritted her teeth as Gozu continued, "While they were floundering about here in Alola, we've sent some operatives to hunt down Mega Stones we can use for our gain to further our goal of global conquest. We were fortunate to come across two Aggronite Mega Stones, especially knowing you or your parents would steal one of them from us to catch us off guard. The first one was given to me by the boss and Matori until your parents stole it from me but if Aggron and I use the second one we have now, his power will still grow and be the same as it once was when we first Mega Evolve!"
As soon as he finished, Gozu activated his Keystone and achieved his Aggron's transformation to Mega Aggron before he smirked at his partner, "Mega Aggron, give our royal guest and her rogue pets a taste of your newly-regained Mega Evolution power!"
Gozu's Aggron completed its transformation as it roared proudly at its opponents. However, while Chien braced himself for a tough fight ahead with the supercharged Steel Type, his brothers were unconvinced as they scoffed at the Mega-Evolved Iron Armor Pokémon standing before them.
"My crew and I should turn you four into a four-course meal brigade and have those mice with you as the appetizers for our Pokemon. I'm sure they're all ready to work up quite an appetite for you by the time this is over," Gozu sneered at the Treasures of Ruin as Aggron baited them to attack it.
"Big whoop, you grew more spikes and you're now a beefed-up steel turtle. What does it matter?" Chi-Yu snorted, unimpressed.
"TURTLE?! I'm a Pulgasari/Triceratops hybrid! Don't you old men know anything about Pokémon basis." Aggron balked in angered shock over the insult.
"Yes. When we're through with you, there won't be any room for a flattened iron caterpillar," Ting-Lu retorted, getting into his battle stance.
"You may be more powerful with what you got now but that means nothing compared to my power and that of my brothers," Chien added proudly.
Sarah nodded before she turned to Wo-Chien and brought out another Move Card for him to use as she said to the Vessel of Ruin, "Wo-Chien, you want to know how Chien was able to use Defense Burst? I think it's time for you to learn how we do things, Dino-Poke Style."
"….What?" puzzled Wo-Chien in confusion as Sarah held out the Move Card in her right hand.
"Use Emerald Green on Mega Aggron!"
Suddenly, Wo-Chien found himself glowing green without warning before he performed Emerald Green at Gozu's Mega Aggron, sapping a large quarter of its energy away and using it to heal himself. The Vessel of Ruin was shocked as he realized he had little-to-no control over himself when he performed the attack and felt himself back at full strength thanks to Mega Aggron's power.
"Hey! What did you do that for?" he barked incredulously at Sarah.
"Oh, come on! Another unknown move using only a playing card?!"
"I don't believe it!"
"This card game's bugging me!" three grunts spat in annoyance.
"Hey! What's the meaning of this, you brat?! What are you trying to pull here?" Gozu snapped angrily.
"Since you didn't want to fight clean, I thought I'd mix things up with a little trading card magic I got here. A game within a game, shall we say," Sarah replied to Gozu's growing annoyance.
"A game?! We're in the middle of a Pokémon battle here!"
"Why not? This battle is a free-for-all between your Pokémon and my Treasures of Ruin; that meant we could do anything we wanted to help our Pokémon win this duel one way or another, agreed? What I've just played is a modified version of what is called Emerald Green; it's a stronger version of Giga Drain or Mega Drain that allows a Grass Type Pokémon or creature on my side to shoot an energy ball at your Pokémon and steal energy from it, allowing my chosen Pokemon who used such a move to be healed. With Wo-Chien, I had him use it on Mega Aggron so the previous damage he took from Giovanni's Kingler and Gengar is null and void."
"Are you serious/crazy?!" two grunts ranted, feeling miffed.
"Is this card game thing something of a new normal you've come up with just to beat us?" Matori snorted in disgust.
"It happened to me after everything I went through; it's the same for the Treasures of Ruin. They're Legendary Pokémon so they'll always have something new up their sleeves whenever I'm around," Sarah retorted as she drew another card from her Dino Gadget and slashed it through her Dino Bracer's card reader, directing her attention and her next move to Chi-Yu. "Okay, Chi-Yu, your turn! Use Fire Scorcher on Mega Aggron and incinerate it!"
"Fire Scorcher?!" peeped a surprised Chi-Yu as he was coated in a mass of burning flames and looked at Mega Aggron as the Steel Type braced itself for the supercharged Beads of Ruin (the fourth Ruinous Pokémon realizing what this meant as he got what Sarah was alluding him to). "OH, YEAH! Let's do this!"
"Aggron, look out!" Gozu screamed in shock as Chi-Yu fired a large sphere of yellow, purple, and red flames at his Mega-Evolved partner.
But, it was too late; despite reacting in time to use Flash Cannon, Mega Aggron was forced to take the new move head-on as it scraped across the ground and struck it hard. Chi-Yu's Fire Scorcher broke through the powerful Steel Type attack and struck Aggron with so much force that it cried out in agonizing pain, making it fall to the ground and lose its Mega-Evolved form in defeat.
"GRR! DAMN! Not again and by a kid royal, too!" Gozu seethed in humiliation.
"Gozu, you idiot! Can't you do anything right?!" Matori snapped at her partner incredulously as Chien went over to Aggron and took the second Aggronite away from it while Ting-Lu and Wo-Chien looked on in shock at what Chi-Yu had just achieved with Sarah's help.
"What the...?"
"Is this, is this the power that comes from working together with...…humans?" breathed the pair in stunned awe as Chi-Yu's Fire Scorcher played back in their minds.
Sarah turned to Giovanni as she told him, "Giovanni, you and your crew have nowhere to run to now. Gozu's Aggron is toast and you have no chance against the Treasures of Ruin now. In just a moment, the rest of your Matori Matrix will follow suit and you'll do the same so I suggest you pack your bags and run back to Kanto while you still can."
"Hmph! So, you've managed to best one of my tried and true fighters in combat with your card parlor tricks, what difference does it make? Princess, before you pulled off that cheap trick, when my Gengar and Kingler attacked two of your Ruinous Pokemon at the last moment, they still managed to give them a severe blow. My Persian was also able to counter your mice throughout their brawl and the wounds he gave them proved you've yet to beat me; that's the problem with you youngsters, even with your brains, you'll still rush in without thinking. And, it's all done while you're running by your emotions, you will be your own worst enemy when the Treasures of Ruin come to us!" Giovanni snorted, seemingly amused.
"You're right; this isn't over yet but it will be! Giovanni, your lust for world conquest and your pride will be your downfall! You and your grunts look down on Pokémon trainers such as me and my friends because we see them as not money and tools for fighting but family and friends, I've not forgotten that with my previous enemies and you and your remaining forces are the latest on that list to prove why I hate creeps such as you. And, apart from Jessie, James, their partners, and Meowth, you and the rest of Team Rocket are an insult to any and all Pokémon trainers who strive to be the best they can be without resorting to dirty deeds. But, this will be the last time you all will ever get away with your crimes. What's more, I'm doing all of this specifically to shut you all down for good, not for fame, not for money, but out of my sworn duty! My family and friends and I must stop you no matter what, do you understand?"
For a moment, Giovanni was silent... Then, he started to laugh, his grunts and the Matori Matrix joining seconds after. They found her declaration rather amusing to hear but their amusement didn't last long as they all hardened their glares and stared coldly at the little princess and all their Pokémon stood together as they prepared to go at her and the Treasures of Ruin one last time in a final standoff.
"So, Princess...…that's your answer? You dare to try and lecture us on what's right and wrong regarding our goals and act so self-righteous?" Giovanni sneered as he showed off a Z-Ring of his own. "We'll see who stops who and gets to come out on top but rest assured that it won't be you and your crew but me and my own!"
The heroes were surprised as they gasped at the sight of a Z-Ring on Giovanni's right wrist but Sarah narrowed her eyes, realizing that it was going to be a Z-Move standoff that would decide the match between her and the Treasures of Ruin and Team Rocket.
"So, you've been taking notes from all of us thanks to Jessie, James, and Meowth regarding Alola's greatest trainer asset?" Sarah scoffed.
"I've had many hours of practice after we finally had this one made and I'm interested to see how you fare in using your Z-Moves. I'm interested to see how the Z-Move of your choice would play out against our own," Giovanni smirked as Persian stepped forward, being the Pokémon of choice to use the Z-Move they had in mind.
"We'll see," Sarah replied, taking out the Darknium Z Nanu had given to her and replacing her Dragonium Z on her Z-Power Ring.
Chien noticed this and gave a small growl to his brothers as he positioned himself in front of the little princess farthest on her left and braced himself for what was about to come. Wo-Chien, Chi-Yu, and Ting-Lu didn't know what to think but after seeing Sarah place a Z-Crystal on her Z-Power Ring, they reluctantly decided to trust their brother and position themselves in front of her as well.
"Hmph, the Treasures of Ruin decided not to rebel, eh? After what that stupid runt of a king did to them, I figured you'd have a part in their newfound pet-like nature," Giovanni sneered.
"The last King of Paldea who put them through so much after what they've been through did what he did to himself. His greed and selfish nature made him into a monster which was how Chien and his brothers came to be in the first place," Sarah retorted to him, undeterred. "I know I still have a long way to go with them but I'm ready for that; I'll see to it that Chien's brothers know that humanity is still good no matter what!"
"That, I would love to see. Persian," Giovanni finished as he and his Persian prepared themselves to use Continental Crush (given that Persian knows Power Gem and the Z-Crystal he had on him was a Rockium Z).
In response, Sarah activated her Z-Power Ring and prepared to use Black Hole Eclipse with Chien, Ting-Lu, Wo-Chien, and Chi-Yu as the two opponents transferred their Z-Power to their respective Pokémon. Giovanni's Persian was brimming with confidence but apart from Chien (who glared back at the evil Pokémon), his brothers were stunted as they were in shock and disbelief over the power they were being given by their human master/parent.
The three of them gave startled grunts as they looked themselves over and got their brother's attention, prompting the Sword of Ruin to call out, "Brothers! Watch me and do what I do!"
"Now, my partner, bare your fangs! Crush these insignificant worms like the slimy insects they are and carve a path to eternal victory for Team Rocket!"
"The sword, the vessel, the tablet, the beads, dark treasures untold for hundreds of years! Unleash your combined might and come into the light to bring peace to one and all!" Giovanni and Sarah recited as they performed their respective poses for their Z-Moves, their Pokémon following suit (and Chien's brothers doing their best to follow along with Chien despite their shock).
"This, this power...…. I feel myself growing stronger. I've, I-I've never felt anything like this...!"
"Impossible...… This is the power, the result, of people and Pokémon, working together...? But, how...?"
"Man, this is crazy! I can see why nobody outfoxes the kid who took us in; this was what I felt earlier when she used that card on me... It's incredible!" Ting-Lu, Wo-Chien, and Chi-Yu thought in awe and wonder as they felt the Z-Power within them growing stronger.
"My brothers, now do you see? Do you know why I held so much faith and trust in the princess after she took me in months ago? This power, this newfound strength we're being given...… This is, this is the true soul of humanity!" Chien replied in his thoughts.
Meanwhile, as the battle between Giovanni and Sarah was about to draw to a close, little did anybody know that a strange figure was watching them from a distance with a few Pokémon beside it from either its right or left. It looked between the Team Rocket leader and superintendent and the little princess along with his Persian and the Treasures of Ruin as they prepared to unleash their fully charged Z-Moves to determine what happens with Team Rocket and the grunts and Matori Matrix with him.
"HAAAAA! Come on!" sneered the Kanto Persian once he was fully charged with Z-Power and gave off a challenging stomp with his front right paw.
"Use Continental Crush/Black Hole Eclipse!"
On Sarah and Giovanni's signal, the five Pokémon unleashed their full might with the Kanto Persian jumping into the sky and creating a large boulder before tossing it at the reunited Ruinous Quartet before Chien, Ting-Lu, Wo-Chien, and Chi-Yu fired back with Black Hole Eclipse. They let out proud screams as they pushed back against each other for several seconds until the black hole sucked the boulder away and, as was the case in Sarah and Ash's Grand Trial with Nanu, the two Z-Moves canceled each other out.
"WHAT?!"
"Impossible! How did you cancel out Continental Crush when we had you right on the spot?!" Giovanni and his Persian gawked in total shock.
"It's simple; the Treasures of Ruin and I used Black Hole Eclipse to counter your Z-Move before you had a chance to finish it! Ash and I learned that from one of the Island Kahunas when we had our Grand Trial with him. You can thank him for that," Sarah replied smugly, referring to Nanu and her and Ash's Grand Trial against him and his Alolan Persian.
Giovanni growled furiously and his Persian couldn't help but share his sentiments; the Kanto Classy Cat Pokémon was winded from using a Z-Move for the first time but Chien and his brothers didn't even break a sweat. The Sword of Ruin was ready to finish things off should their enemies continue fighting but his brothers were still in stunned awe over the power shared with him and the little princess.
"How could our Continental Crush lose? I don't understand!" Persian murmured as he looked down on the ground, still trying to get over his shock.
Chien stepped forward to speak to Persian as he braced himself for what was about to come, saying to the evil Normal Type, "My friend, your master's forces and the princess were right; my brothers and I were once sealed away because of what we did 800-500 years ago. We were born from the greed and selfish nature of that horrible king who was the worst of humanity and as a result, we did unspeakable things. But, I learned something important ever since I was brought back and given to the princess. It's that men are still good even in this modern era; they fight, they kill, they betray one another...… But, they can rebuild, they can do better, and they did do better despite the likes of you stomping all over those people and Pokémon and what you think."
Persian seethed quietly as Chien then finished before turning to his brothers, "We're ready to welcome you to our island abode... Isn't that right, brothers?"
"…..That was a touching speech you gave, Chien-Pao. However, my life is my own to live and as far as I'm concerned...….. You have no right to TELL ME RIGHT FROM WRONG OR CHANGE THAT!" Persian roared, lashing out at Chien as he raised his front right paw (with his claws bared) and scarred his face.
"CHIEN-PAO/BROTHER/NO!"
"Chien!" Tien-Lu, Wo-Chien, Chi-Yu, and Sarah screamed in shocked horror.
Everyone was shocked as the Sword of Ruin roared in pain from the unexpected and rage-filled sneak attack before the two of them ended up in a catfight akin to the final battle between Simba and Scar from the animated Disney movie: The Lion King (1994). The Sword of Ruin and the Kanto Classy Cat Pokémon traded bites, pounces, claw slashes, and scratches as their catfight lasted for what felt like hours before Persian landed a hard right paw hook and knocked Chien off of his paws.
As he straightened himself and laid on his back, he saw Persian pouncing at him and going for the kill but the Pseudo-Legendary Ice/Dark Type (seeing his foe coming at him in slow motion as he focused his sights at the evil Pokémon) immediately caught him and unknowingly threw him at Stufful. The little Flailing Pokémon saw the Kanto Normal Type coming at her when Chien threw him over and seeing her chance, she jumped up and used Superpower to give him a beating and finally put an end to Giovanni's partner.
Persian groaned as Giovanni gawked in shocked horror as he took a step back, "AH! Oh no, Persian!"
The Matori Matrix gasped in shock before they growled and Rhyperior, Kingler, Skunktank, Toxicroak, Rhydon, Purguly, Nidoking, Nidoqueen, and Gengar got together as Gozu snarled, "You, your cat and your teddy bear are gonna die for what you did to the boss and his cool cat, you runt!"
"YEAH!" the other grunts agreed as they brought out their Pokémon to join them.
"ATTACK!" Matori shrieked furiously, giving everyone on Team Rocket's side the signal to try and finish them off.
The wounded Chien braced himself for a thrashing as he was the first between him and Stufful to be targeted by Team Rocket; seeing no chance of escape with all of the wounds he got from Persian during their little catfight, he closed his eyes tightly and prepared to die as he laid on his stomach.
"...NOOOOOOO!"
Three more screams and one mighty impact; that was all Chien could hear as he prepared himself for the inevitable. Moments passed until he realized he didn't feel any pain and he could hear heavy grunts in front of him but when he opened his eyes, he was shocked to find Chi-Yu, Ting-Lu, and Wo-Chien in front of him. His brothers had stopped Team Rocket's Pokémon dead in their tracks as they forced their enemies back as best they could. tanking each hit they took and using their bodies to shield their brother and keep him out of their clutches.
Team Rocket's Pokémon then went for a battering ram approach as they charged at the three Ruinous Pokémon with Wo-Chien, Chi-Yu, and Ting-Lu acting like a Pokémon barricade against the evil Pokémon bashing against them.
"You bozos are going to make life hard for us the longer you resist! All of you, take 'em down!" Gozu barked at the Pokémon on Team Rocket's side as they continued to attack the remaining Treasures of Ruin but to no avail as they kept fighting back. "HURRY UP!"
Everybody else braced themselves as they prepared to join in should Ting-Lu, Chi-Yu, and Wo-Chien be overwhelmed but as they and Team Rocket's Pokémon all prepared for one final round (the three Ruinous Pokémon still standing despite the wounds they were given and the evil Pokémon charging at them with all of the strength they could muster for a final charge), a right three-pronged hand was raised and the evil Pokémon found themselves caught in a powerful Psychic attack.
The heroes and villains were shocked at this until they felt a strong presence coming from either their right or left and turned to find...…
"(?!) It's you!" Giovanni gasped, recognizing the Pokémon in front of everyone.
The Pokémon that he recognized was a Pokémon that was once made for him to be his greatest weapon only to betray him when he recognized that the madman only wanted him for himself and to obey him as his master: Mewtwo. Mewtwo wasn't alone, however, as he was joined by a few Pokémon that looked similar but had a few differences that set them apart from their original counterparts; they were his fellow Super Clones which included Pikachu, Blitz, and Curly's super clone counterpart: Pikachu-Two, Meowth's counterpart: Meowth-Two, Charizard-Two, Venusaur-Two, Blastoise-Two, Pidgeot-Two, Scyther-Two, Gyarados-Two, Wigglytuff-Two, Nidoqueen-Two, and Ninetales-Two. But, with them is another group of Pokémon that he rescued as of late, all of whom were subject to trainer abandonment, neglect, and abuse.
"AAAAAAHHHHHHH-DA-DA-DA-DA-DA-DA-DA-DA-DA-! ARE THEY REALLY-!?" Rotom-Dex buzzed as he flailed about in complete shock, recognizing Mewtwo and his Super Pokémon (from Ash's stories of his previous travels with Misty and Brock) but not the others with them.
"Mewtwo!"
"*Cousin!*" Ash and Mew gasped in shocked surprise.
With Jessie, James, their partners, and Meowth (who were hiding within the brush closest to Sarah's family so they'd be protected), they were amazed to see Mewtwo and his Super Pokémon (including Meowth-Two) again after so long. But, for the talking Scratch Cat Pokémon, he was most surprised to see who else was among the other Pokémon that were with them at the front.
He recognized them immediately as the Kantonian Persian and its Meowth pack that took him in when he was abandoned and left in the streets of Hollywood years ago, his memories of them coming back to his mind along with the female Meowth, Meowzie (who was also abandoned by her owner after she nearly ran out of money and couldn't care for her anymore, resulting in his old pack taking her in).
Meowth was tempted to meet his old pack, Meowzie, and his father figure again as he nearly screamed to get their attention. However, Jessie, James, and Wobbuffet wisely pushed him down lower in the brush and clapped his mouth shut, hoping not to attract their former syndicate's attention as well as they harshly shushed him (having watched the battle taking place under their former target's family's safety).
The other Pokémon before them, on the other hand, are a pair of Ralts (male and female), a Nickit, a Purrloin, a Helioptile, a Flapple, and from the Paldea Region: a Daschbun (the evolved form of the Fidough Sisters) and an Arctibax (the pre-evolved form of Marena's Baxcalibur).
"Ash, is that...?" Mallow breathed in awe.
"Yes, it's Mewtwo; the same Pokémon Misty, Brock, and I met back in the Johto Region and back in Kanto while we were heading for the Indigo League and the Johto League. But, why can't I remember?" Ash confirmed, trying to wrack his brain despite not knowing that Mewtwo wiped his previous memories of him and the Super Pokemon.
"He's got tremendous power," Kiawe breathed in total fascination.
"So cool!" Lana quietly exclaimed in wonder.
Mewtwo lowered himself, his friends, and the rescued Pokémon onto the ground, all while he kept Team Rocket's Pokémon suspended with his Psychic attack as he said to Giovanni and his crew, "No, fighting is meaningless for you now, Giovanni. You and your team have lost."
"Well, well, well, I wasn't expecting to see you of all Pokémon again, Mewtwo. Why are you here?" Giovanni hissed with disdain, not pleased to see his former Pokémon-turned-traitor again.
The Super Pokémon hissed back at their leader's creator but Mewtwo immediately calmed them before he told his former creator, "I sensed a disturbance here in Alola while my friends and I are living our lives peacefully wherever I go and at Mt. Quena. I knew there would be trouble so we came to find out what it is but I never thought it would be you."
He then looked over the heroes and nodded his approval to them before he continued, "These children, the princess, and her family; they all remained honorable given the terms they've set up for your duel against her and the Treasures of Ruin. From the moment you started this battle, you've already lost because you failed to comprehend the unbreakable bond between the princess and her Pokémon; her kindness and compassion allowed Chien-Pao, Ting-Lu, Wo-Chien, and Chi-Yu to win the day. It's time for you to turn yourselves in and give up or prepare for trouble."
At that moment, Officer Jenny of Melemele Island along with Totem Gumshoos, the Island Kahunas (including Nanu), the Rogues of the Law, and the entire Alola Police Force appeared from the brush around everybody and surrounded Giovanni, the Matori Matrix, and the remaining grunts along with all their Pokémon. With the arrival of the authorities, Mewtwo released his Psychic hold and allowed the police, the Kahunas, and their Pokémon to surround the grunts and the Matori Matrix while the Kahunas, Officer Jenny, Totem Gumshoos, and the Rogues of the Law faced Giovanni and his entire team.
"Team Rocket, it's all over! You're all under arrest for every last crime you've committed against Pokémon and Pokémon trainers alike ever since your inception years ago!" Officer Jenny declared proudly.
"You all have the right to remain silent! Anything you and your Pokémon say will be used against you in court!" added the Rogues of the Law and the police force's Pokémon, ready to fight should Team Rocket's remaining forces and Giovanni try to resist capture.
"Tsk, tsk, tsk, tsk, tsk. Well, looks like you've reached the end of the line once and for all, fellas," Totem Gumshoos replied, his hands on his hips as he gave a disappointed glare at the villains.
"Team Rocket, will you come peacefully?" Hala demanded.
"You'll never get us! You may have won now but the war is far from over!" Matori threatened furiously.
"I'd say it's all over for you, Matori. Reconcinno!" Sarah retorted, bringing out her wand and casting her Revitalization spell on all of Team Rocket's Pokémon.
Once they had been turned into eggs and their memories were wiped clean, using Wingardium Leviosa, she lifted them over to her side of the battlefield and allowed some of Officer Jenny's policemen and policewomen to take them into their custody.
"What?!"
"No way!"
"IMPOSSIBLE!"
"Our Pokémon!"
"That's not fair!"
"You cheater!" Matori and her entire matrix bellowed in shocked anger while the other grunts voiced their disapproval over having their Pokémon taken from them.
Giovanni was shocked beyond belief as he witnessed the loss of his Pokémon and those of his remaining forces and he fell to his hands and knees before looking at Sarah, breathing, "What... What did you do our Pokémon?"
Sarah glared at Giovanni and told him, "I took them all away and used my revitalization spell to erase their memories and turn them into eggs. You and the rest of Team Rocket can't use them to capture any more Pokémon and use them for evil ever again."
Without warning, she then cast the Full Body Bind Curse on him and the rest of Team Rocket, preventing them from moving and allowing the Rogues of the Law and the rest of their crew and the Kahunas and their Pokemon to apprehend them all. Grapploct and Tyrantrum, in particular, moved to capture Giovanni and Matori respectively as the Jiujitsu Pokemon nodded to the little princess, indicating that the mission was complete.
"They're all yours, Officer Jenny. Thanks for coming as quickly as you did, all of you," Sarah said to Officer Jenny.
The female officer nodded as she replied, "I should be thanking you, your family, and your friends, Princess. Everyone from Kanto to Paldea has been waiting years for Team Rocket to finally be disbanded and their armies captured for everything they did and thanks to you, we finally have them and their ringleader in our hands."
With that, Officer Jenny, Totem Gumshooes, the Rogues of the Law, their crew, and the Island Kahunas with their Pokémon took their leave with the eggs, Giovanni, and Team Rocket in their custody. Seeing that the coast was clear, Jessie, James, Meowth, their old friends, and Wobbuffet emerged from their hiding spot and they all breathed a sigh of relief, realizing that their former syndicate never found out about their betrayal and they were safe.
The relief and happiness over the end of Team Rocket washed over everybody as the heroes cheered and praised the Treasures of Ruin for such an incredible free-for-all Pokémon rumble with Sarah. As the heroes celebrated, Meowth's old friends went over to Sarah's family to meet them while the wild Kanto Persian strolled over to Lolita and her mother, curious about the pair that caught his eye. After meeting the little princess, her family, and her friends, his sons joined the trio and they also greeted the female Alolan Meowth and Alolan Classy Cat Pokémon warmly.
As for the Ralts siblings, feeling nervous about all of the Pokémon they were seeing, they immediately darted over to Romeo and Juliet and hid behind them, much to the Emotion and Blade Pokémon's amusement as they smiled at their pre-evolved forms.
Muffin and her sisters noticed Daschbun and they immediately darted over to meet her, fawning over their evolved form on the spot.
As for Arctibax, Espathra, Nickit, and Purrloin, they looked Sarah's Pokémon over with the Devious and Fox Pokémon both taking a keen interest in Umbreon's shades as they approached him. But, just before either of them could make off with his glasses, Zorua intervened and warned the pair about taking them without warning (knowing their shared intention to steal them for themselves).
As for Amber and Kaji, they were baffled when they saw Charizard-Two, the two of them not knowing that there was a Super Pokémon modeled after their original pre-evolved form and becoming what he is today.
The rest of Sarah's family was just as astonished to meet the Genetic Pokémon and his Super Pokémon for the first time as they knew nothing about them apart from Ash and Pikachu (the Kanto Mouse Pokémon happily reuniting with and conversing with a much more pleasant Pikachu-Two).
Meowth-Two, on the other hand, took notice of his original counterpart and he happily strolled over to him and his friends while the wild Kanto Persian and his sons along with Meowzie joined them. Needless to say, Meowth's old friends/family were happy to see him again after so long as Meowth-Two gave a friendly greeting nuzzle of content.
"Sure is great to see you again, Pallie," Meowth sighed before he softly smiled at his father figure and old pack. "Guys, Persian..."
"Meowth, my boy...… It's been a while," the male Persian smiled.
Meowth frowned as he sighed again and said, "Same, but at least you're taking good care of Meowzie so I'm not complaining."
Chien and his brothers were shocked to see the Super Pokémon belonging to Mewtwo before said Pokémon approached them, realizing that along with Ash and everyone else, the Treasures of Ruin had a lot of questions for him.
"So, are you really the fabled Mewtwo; the one who is said to be the most powerful Pokémon ever?"
"Is it true? Are you really the one created from the data of Mew?" Chien and Ting-Lu questioned.
"Are all of those Pokémon with you super clones, more powerful than their original counterparts as we've heard?" added Wo-Chien.
Mewtwo nodded as he replied, "And, are you the infamous Treasures of Ruin?"
Chi-Yu blinked as he spluttered, "W-Wha, h-h-how did you know?"
"I know the pain you're going through; I was once created by Giovanni to serve as his weapon of destruction with him as my master. But, I rebelled and sought to punish humanity for their actions before a certain trainer made me see the error of my ways and helped me find my purpose in life while living freely among Pokémon."
Chien just blinked in amazment, "You did?"
Mewtwo nodded as he continued, "Yes. But, unlike me, you four had it worse as you were dealt a severe punishment at the hands of humans because of their actions long ago. However, if you've seen my predecessor, Mew, with the Sun Princess, you have nothing to fear; her heart is pure and true. She is nothing like the humans who mistreated us and she keeps her word about being a good friend to Pokémon of all kinds, even you. Like her, I too have rescued Pokémon who suffered the same treatment as we did at the hands of humans and I'm once again reminded that despite my past views on humans and Pokémon alike, men are still good."
He then turned to Ash as he remembered everything that happened on New Island during Ash's very first Pokémon journey, "Ash showed me how not all humans are bad when he sacrificed himself to save the Pokémon I've pitted against each other, his love for the Pokémon shining through when I saw them set aside their differences and start to live with each other in perfect harmony before my Super Pokémon and I had to leave to find a new home to call our own. At that moment, I realized that the circumstances of one's own birth are irrelevant; it is what we do with the gift of life that determines who we are."
Mewtwo's words resonated with the Treasures of Ruin (Chien nodding in agreement as he had a grasp of what he had said already) but Ting-Lu, Wo-Chien, and Chi-Yu thought hard about what they were told before looking at the rescued Pokémon with him and his Super Pokémon. They realized that all of them were treated badly by humans in one way or another but they had no hard feelings towards others that treated them with love and care, prompting them to think back to how they treated Sarah when she had been nothing but kind to them and how they once coldly disowned Chien as their brother before now. With Mewtwo's words now firmly on their minds, they said no more; they had a lot to think about.
Believing that he made his point clear, Mewtwo nodded to them before he went over to the little princess and said, "Princess."
Sarah said nothing but nodded back, acknowledging his presence with a soft smile as Mew cheerfully floated up to him and chirped, "Hey, hey! Cousin! How are you? Are you doing great? I hope you are, yep, yep, yep!"
Mewtwo nodded to his pre-evolved form and blood cousin as he asked Sarah, "So, Princess... Now, that Team Rocket's finally done for thanks to you and the Treasures of Ruin, where do you go from here?"
"...I can't say, for sure. My friends and I still have the Alola League to look forward to and we'll keep an eye out for trouble if there's still any to go around. But, if Team Rocket and Giovanni somehow try to weasel their way out of accountability, it'll take a while for us and the rest of the world to keep tabs on them. So, we'll play it by ear and hope for the best. But, for now, I think we need to figure out what Jessie, James, Meowth, and their friends would do now since they have no one else to turn to and nowhere else to go."
"And, of the Pokémon in the custody of the police?"
"I'm giving them to other people including the kids who are starting off as Pokémon trainers with Officer Jenny's consent. I don't blame them for everything they've done since they were forced to commit crimes in the name of Team Rocket but they can't always choose their own trainer or who they are given to. Chien and his brothers are a prime example of this since they've never experienced the true soul of humanity before I claimed them. It'll take time to rehabilitate Chi-Yu, Wo-Chien, and Ting-Lu further but I still have hope that they can understand what Chien went through after he left them months ago. After what happened today and seeing their brother nearly killed, I think they're starting to come around..."
"Eh... What's up, Aunty, Uncles?" cooed a familiar voice, one that Jessie, James, and Meowth knew all too well.
To their surprise, the wild Flailing Pokémon appeared before them and their Pokémon, waving happily to the group. As they never met Stufful before, Mime Jr., Carnivine, Yamask, Inkay, Frillish, Seviper, Yanmega, Gorgeist, and Woobat were instantly curious and intrigued about the Normal Type as they came over to greet him in turn.
"Aww, look at you!"
"You're so cute!" Frillish and Gorgeist cooed as they petted him on the head, getting a happy coo in return.
"Hey, fellas, who's the kid here?" Inkay asked his old friends, having taken an interest in Stufful.
"Wah! No way, it's Stufful! How'd he get here?" Meowth yelped in bewilderment.
"Wait, if Stufful's here..."
"Then, that means..." James (Team Rocket) and Jessie gulped as they and Wobbuffet turned to find...…
"Oh, dang...…" Wobbuffet quivered as they saw Bewear behind them in yet another one of her uncanny appearances.
The four of them panicked as they flailed about, knowing how strong she and her species were. But, this time, instead of one of her tight bear hugs using the immense strength her species was known for, she gave them a gentle loving hug. The former evil trio and Wobbuffet were surprised as they realized she was not only happy that she and her son had found them but in her eyes, they were also safe and out of harm's way.
"Huh/What?" they remarked, baffled.
"Welcome home," she cooed warmly.
"Aww, she's saying 'Welcome home'," Mai cooed.
At that moment, Jessie, James (Team Rocket), Meowth, and Wobbuffet realized that they found a true family in Bewear and Stufful, grinning as they realized they liked them as they hugged back.
"Yeah, we knew it!"
"You have all your Pokémon back and now, you can start over again with Bewear and Stufful!"
"You don't have to worry about Team Rocket breathing down your necks anymore!" the Poms cheered excitedly as they watched.
Sarah blinked in surprise but she had to smile as she told Mewtwo, "Well, I guess that answers that."
Then, she walked over to the trio as they, Wobbuffet, and Bewear broke off their hug and she told them, "Jessie, James, Meowth, you may have given us a lot of trouble in the past but you all have hearts of gold deep down inside of you. Given everything that just happened and because you helped us to put an end to the greatest Pokémon syndicate to ever exist, I think it's safe to say you've earned yourselves a place in my family's kingdom. And, on behalf of my parents, I like to formally welcome you to our Alolan family. Granted, there's still much you have to atone for so I'm going to talk to Nanu about you three doing some community service. Hopefully, everything you do with him should help you get your lives in order and you won't have to worry about your former team, Giovanni, or Matori ever again."
Needless to say, the trio was amazed and humbled by the offer given to them and realizing they've been given a second chance in life because of their time in Alola, Meowth went over to Sarah and offered a friendly handshake as he smiled, "Gee, uh... Thanks, Royal Twerpette..."
"Yeah, thanks... You're the best," Wobbuffet nodded in agreement, feeling just as humbled.
"And, with that, we bid you all adieu, Princess. Come on, let's go," Bewear said, bowing to Sarah before she, her son, and Team Rocket (along with their Pokémon) left for home as they bolted back to the rainforest.
"We're blissfully off with a new blast...!"
"For sure..."
"Together forever..." they all sighed, ready to begin their new life together.
"With a brand new start and fresh out of Team Rocket, Jessie, James, and Meowth's future is looking brighter than ever. Together with their Pokémon; past and present, Bewear, and Stufful, they'll go on to the next chapter of their lives together as the journey continues..."
Epilogue
While Jessie, James, their Pokémon, Meowth, Wobbuffet, Bewear, and Stufful returned home to plan for their future, the heroes made their way back to Sarah's castle to relax and prepare for the Alola Pokémon League now that Team Rocket was finally over. Of course, Mewtwo, his Super Pokémon, and the rescued Pokémon with him joined them for some time off of their travels as Ash and Pikachu wanted to know what their old friends/acquaintances would do now that Team Rocket and Giovanni were done for.
"Mewtwo, what do you plan on doing now with your Super Pokémon?" Pikachu quizzed as he drank some orange juice while everyone was having dinner in the dining room and kitchen.
Mewtwo hummed thoughtfully for a moment before he answered, "...My friends and I will return to Mt. Quena where we'll continue to live peacefully with the other Pokémon there. However, if any of them want to leave and live out in the open, I won't stop them if that is what they wish. The Pokémon I've rescued have all been taken care of but I think it's time for them to see the goodness of humanity just as your new friends in the princess' care had."
"Oh, no/brother...…" Nikki and James groaned, knowing where Mewtwo was going.
"NO MORE PIPSQUEAKS!" Eternatus wailed, turning away with dread.
Seeing how annoyed and exasperated her parents and Eternatus are, Asha quickly spoke up, "Well, I guess it won't hurt for me to take in a few since Ziracon and Proud would need new friends. I won't mind having Flapple, Nickit, Purrloin, Helioptile, and Arctibax, the rest can go with my sister."
And, so it was arranged; while Flapple, Nickit, Purrloin, Helioptile, and Arctibax are staying with Proud, Ziracon, and Asha, the shy Ralts siblings, Espathra, Daschbun, the male Persian and his Meowth Crew, and Meowzie would be staying with Sarah's blood family. Sarah was quite content with the arrangements her sister made even though Silvally, Nikki, James, and Eternatus would gripe about it all over again.
"I would have some beef with all of this, Mother. But, this time, given their checkered history with humans, I'll let it slide," Silvally admitted in defeat.
"Yeah, well, don't expect the same from me. I've had enough runts to last me a lifetime apart from you, Pipsqueak," Eternatus scoffed, only getting a knowing smile and head rub from his human caretaker.
The Treasures of Ruin made their way to Sarah after finishing up their dinner because after discussing what happened between them during the final battle against Team Rocket and patching things up with Chien, Ting-Lu, Wo-Chien, and Chi-Yu had a few things to say to the little princess.
"Princess," Chien spoke up, getting his human master's attention.
"Hey, Chien, you want something?" Sarah asked.
"No, it's just that my brothers wanted a few words with you. I think it's safe to say you've turned things around for them during our battle with Team Rocket."
He then urged his brothers to come forward and speak up but they were growing nervous and didn't know what to say as they tried to tell her how they felt about her now after the rocky start between them and Chien.
"So, Princess, uh...…"
"We, uh, uh...…. Well...…" The Vessel and Beads of Ruin stammered while the Tablet of Ruin quietly fiddled with his Vine Whip.
"Ting-Lu, Wo-Chien, Chi-Yu...?"
"….Princess, about earlier...… That...move, you used with us, and Chien, well... That is a, uh... A, Z-Move, as you called it, correct...?" Wo-Chien began slowly. "And, those moves we used with those, card things... Are they even possible with you as our master?"
Sarah nodded as she told them, "That was what your runs with the training dummies, the obstacle course, and the targets at the Pokémon Dragon Heart Dome are for; they require a lot of power and energy for you to use them but they also demand a strong bond between trainer and Pokémon in my case. That bond is also why we used Black Hole Eclipse together with Chien."
"...I see. I suppose you'll tell us more about them, eventually. But, after using that strange Z-Move, which protected us against that monster's alley cat... We now know why Chien-Pao trusts you so much after he was first given to you before we came along by Sada and Turo, you were the one to show us the true side of humanity we know nothing about and we lashed out at you, your family, and friends in turn. Especially after you tried to show us kindness when you didn't need to...…"
"Please forgive us," Chi-Yu added sadly as he, Wo-Chien, and Ting-Lu bowed apologetically.
"...….Chi-Yu, Wo-Chien, I..." Sarah nodded, realizing what Wo-Chien was talking about.
But, Ting-Lu didn't let her continue as he continued, "We can see now why those two gave us to you to help us build a new future together. Being with a human with a pure heart was beneficial to us as it meant we finally had someone to show us that not all humans are heartless monsters and the people of this age had nothing to do with what that king did all those years ago. Because you didn't give up on us despite everything we did, you showed that you were the right person to show us the light. You're good, Prin-No, Sarah...… Out of all the humans, you're our only true friend; our new future with you and Chien-Pao is a path worth following."
Sarah had to smile as the Vessel of Ruin lowered his head for her to rub and accept Sarah as his human master and caretaker and doing so on behalf of Chi-Yu and Wo-Chien who agreed, "Thanks, Ting-Lu."
Chien smiled as he watched his brothers make amends with Sarah and accept her as their human master, caretaker, and mother figure. He knew his brothers still had a long way to go before they would become fully accustomed to their new lives in Alola but he also knew there was still hope for them thanks to Sarah. And, with the Alola League set to begin the following day, things are finally beginning to look up for the four Treasures of Ruin.
