After a series of hard-fought battles, Ash and Sarah both became the first-ever champions of the Alola Pokémon League! But, the excitement of the impending exhibition match against Sarah and the Masked Royal was put to a halt when a hoard of three Guzzlord invaded their world and our heroes were forced to fight them off. But, with the help of some unexpected reinforcements including a few old faces, harnessing enormous energy and power, everybody helped to drive off the Guzzlord. But, now, Kukui's identity as the Masked Royal was finally revealed. How will our favorite Alola professor deal with this?

(Theme Song: Pokémon League Arc - Moon Pride (Sailor Moon Crystal ft. Momorio Clover Z))

MOON PRIDE! Anata no chikara na naritai (I want to be your strength)

The opening begins with an overview of Sarah, her friends, Asha, and Race standing together with their Partner Pokémon in the midst of a floral field and the full moon before the camera pans forward and passes Sarah upward before the main titles appear in a flurry of light, electricity, and snow.

POKEMON SUN & MOON: Pokémon League Blues!

Nine lights (red, gold, yellow, green, blue, white, crimson, cyan, and an orange/yellow/violet mix) flew around the main titles before passing by and the final light showed Asha, Race, Ash, Kiawe, Lillie, Lana, Mallow, and Sophocles standing in a circle with their backs to each other and looking out on the horizon (with the Alola girls having a tear fall from their eyes, the boys looking determined as they glared hard, Race looks contempt yet determined as a flash of lightning streaks by him, and Asha looks out to her right worriedly and with heartache)

Namida wa hono wo tsutai (Tears roll down my face)

Hitomo wa akaku moeru (My eyes are burning red hot)

Inazuma no yo ni hageshiku (Being just as violent as lightning)

Dareka ga ai wo sakeru (Someone cries out for love)

We then quickly pan over to Sarah as she holds her hands in a prayer position with her eyes closed as if she's in some sort of slumber before she eventually wakes up and the camera pans to the moon in a blissful space of wonder.

Tatoe Don'na (No matter what) Kurayami Demo (Dark it is)

Hitori janai yo ne? (You're not alone, you know?) Watashitachi Wo (We're together)

Terasa Moonlight (Shining in moonlight) (AH)

Sarah is then shown in Ula'Ula's Malie City on a rainy day (while in a hand-painted/CGI background and holding an umbrella over her head) where she turns and suddenly sees a person that looks like Dia with a Shiny Zeraora at a tree while holding an umbrella over his head and reading a book before they took notice of her. The little princess gave a brief yet nostalgic sigh before she was joined by Blitz and Curly and then her boyfriend, sister, and friends as they got together and cheered, throwing their umbrellas up in the air.

On'nankoko ni mo yuzurenu kyoji ga aru (Girls, don't give away your self-respect)

Sore wa ouji-sama ni unmei nagazu (Don't throw away your destiny for a prince)

Mizukara Tatakau Ishi (Fight for yourself)

Soon, Sarah's friends and Asha along with their Partner Pokémon start to fight against other trainers in the Alola League's elimination and quarter rounds as they climb their way to the Top 16 spots for the official tournament. Sarah and Race stand together as their Pokémon fight before they face each other and they order Blitz and Robbie to go at each other and see who's the better trainer and Pokémon between them.

Shiny Make-Up! Kagayaku yo hoshizora wo atsumete (Keep shining as you collect the starry sky)

Tada mamorareru dake no kayowai sonzai ja nai wa (We aren't weak girls who need man's protection)

In the midst of the competition, Team Skull appears to crush the competition and win in their own right with the most prominent of its members showing themselves as follows: Tupp, Zipp, Rapp, Plumeria, and Guzma (the main head of Team Skull preparing to compete himself). Kukui, Lusamine, Wicke, Faba, Burnet, Doug, Delilah, David, and Doug are shown together as they nod to wish everybody participating in the Alola League good luck and we even get a glimpse at an unknown Pokemon appearing from an Ultra Wormhole. Sarah reappears and draws Cosmic Grace before she holds it out and its light shines for all of Alola to see.

Shiny Make-Up! Tatakau yo hoshizora wo matotte (I will fight in the starry sky)

Atarashii densetsu ga ima koko kara hajimaru (A new legend begins from here)

La la, Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon

The opening ends with quick shots of the main group of nine as they and their Pokémon reappear together and do poses, ready to face the Alola League head-on and have fun no matter who wins or loses the entire tournament.

(Pokémon League Arc Opening Ends)

After the threat of the Guzzlord hoard was over, everybody that was safely evacuated returned to Manalo Stadium so they could not only recover from the ordeal but also prepare to witness the exhibition match between Sarah and the Masked Royal. Speaking of the Masked Royal, the heroes (save for an embarrassed Sarah and Zorua and a puzzled Zeraora and Dia) were flabbergasted to know that he and Kukui were one and the same. It was also shocking for them to know that the little princess and Zorua were in on the act the whole time and none of them realized it until now.

"Let me get this straight, Professor; you were not only the Masked Royal himself the whole time but you were also supposed to be Ash or Island Girl's opponent in the exhibition battle?" Race questioned, glaring at Kukui incredulously.

"Uh, well, you see...… I mean-! …..I'm so sorry to have kept this a secret from you all this time, everybody," Kukui apologized, embarrassed and ashamed.

"And, while everybody else was wondering where you were whenever the Masked Royal appeared, YOU and Zorua were in on his little costume ploy, Sis?" balked Asha in disbelief at Sarah who winced under her sister's furious gaze along with an embarrassed Zorua.

"Uh, I-I, uh, I, uh...…. Well," the princess tried to explain but couldn't as she and Zorua both hung their heads in shame.

The adults from the viewer's lounge were also shocked by the reveal as they didn't know what to say. Even Faba, Doug, and Delilah were aghast at the reveal of Kukui being the Masked Royal having happened so soon without warning. However, out of all of them, Burnet was completely floored by the turnabout; not once did the Aether Foundation Pokémon Researcher think to discover that her crush and husband were both the same person. But, sure enough, she saw Kukui in his uniform and having lost his mask in the scuffle being the Masked Royal himself.

"Hold it! WHAAAAA-?! No, no, no, no, no! Not a chance! My Kukui is...…!" she floundered in shock before she fainted with an awestruck gasp, leaving Wicke to catch her as she had hearts over her eyes (having the exact opposite reaction to Kukui's reveal and unknowingly putting his fears to rest).

"Uh... Prof. Kukui, you're... Are you the Masked Royal?" Ash quizzed, left utterly silent by the shocking reveal.

Kukui sighed as he finally decided to come clean with his student, "It's true, Ash. And, Sarah and Zorua had been helping me with my alter-ego ever since she found out during our staycation at Aulani."

"...Ash, Kukui?" Pikachu cooed, wondering how his partner would take the reveal as a whole.

"Sarah, why did you and Zorua keep us in the dark about it?"

"Yeah, we didn't think you left us under the loop about the Masked Royal being Kukui this whole time!" Kiawe and Mallow put in as they and the others were not exactly happy with Sarah knowing about Kukui's greatest secret.

"I'm sorry, guys. But, I had to keep my promise to Kukui and I had Zorua volunteer to help him keep the act up on account of Burnet given that they're married," Sarah frowned apologetically to them.

"Still, you should've told us when you found out."

"Would've saved you the trouble," put in Sophocles and Lana, incensed.

"Could you imagine how Burnet would've reacted if she found out that guy was her hubby in disguise?" Zorua quipped.

The gang, Asha, and Race tried to imagine Burnet's reaction if Kukui had revealed his identity to her early on but, in the end, Lillie replied on everyone's behalf, "...I, guess not, no..."

"Yeah, I can see why... That's why Zorua was the Masked Royal during the time he did that meeting over at the Battle Royal Dome, to help Kukui be with Burnet and Ash so they don't get suspicious if he returned home late," Sophocles pondered thoughtfully.

"All for the sake of love, why not?"

"Gross/Lame," groaned Silvally and Eternatus, unimpressed.

Ash remained silent for a few more moments until...

"...I'm looking forward to your match against Sarah more than ever!"

"Yeah! Totally," Pikachu added, sharing Ash's renewed enthusiasm.

Kukui was surprised by Ash's reaction, "Huh?"

"I mean, how awesome is that?! I never thought that you could be the Masked Royal until now! Not only will the others and I get to watch Sarah battle the Masked Royal but she'll also be battling you, too! I could never imagine that happening before when I previously attended my last Pokémon Leagues! Right! What do you say? Don't you think so?"

"Yeah, come on, Kukui! It'll be great!"

Kukui thought about it for a moment before he smiled brightly and agreed with a hearty laugh, "When you put it that way...… Right! Then, battling, here we come! We'll figure out a way to get the arena back into shape for tomorrow once we call everybody back now that we don't have to worry about Guzzlord anymore."

"I'm sure the princess, her betrothed, and I wouldn't mind helping you with our magic, Sir Kukui. Nothing a nifty spell such as Reparo could fix," Tsukumaro smiled as he and Absol along with the rest of his Pokémon approached the Alola Professor with his wand in hand.

As everybody else was talking, Naganadel decided to catch up with her family and old friends as she gently nudged Blitz onto her head and she flew around with him, getting Toothless and the other dragons to play with them.

"Wow, what an unexpected battle! I never thought Sarah's opponent in the exhibition match would be Prof. Kukui of all people!"

"Yeah, I can't wait! This is going to be so much fun!"

"It'll be the hottest battle in all of Alola, hot enough to even draw the world's attention!"

"League Creator vs. League Champion! It's a match made in heaven!"

"The fans are gonna be super psyched when they see that!"

"I don't think the fans are going to have much of a choice given the excitement throughout the competition!" Lillie, Fishlegs, Kiawe, Lana, Mallow, and Sophocles remarked, all of them excited and giddy over the impending match against the Pokémon League's creator and co-champion.

"I certainly doubt them passing up on such a fantastic battle waiting in the wings."

"They'll be in for the battle of a lifetime that will rival anything we've seen back in our day," Delilah and Doug put in happily as they, their partners, and the Tomoe Squad arrived, signaling their approval.

"Thanks, Mom, Dad..." Sarah thanked before she flinched and gulped as her parents soon glared at her with a hint of disappointment.

"But, next time, tell us or Tsukumaro sooner if you know something important such as Kukui's revelation about him being the Masked Royal! You're lucky your father and I found out about him during our little scuffle with that horrid Gozu from Team Rocket's Matori Matrix!"

"And, the same goes for your friends, Young Race, and your sister and her family! Your mother and I can't believe you and Zorua helped Kukui leave them, and especially, Ms. Burnet in the dark on all of that!"

"I'm sorry, Mom, Dad... I just wanted to help Prof. Kukui, he was only worried about how Burnet would react should she find out his secret."

Delilah sighed as she held her daughter's shoulders and said, "Honey, we know you had good intentions. But, please... Let's be honest, when has anybody ever filed a divorce with a loved one over something as trivial as this whole Masked Royal affair?"

Sarah grew silent as she couldn't come up with an answer so she just shrugged.

Kukui chuckled as he came over to Sarah and made a proposal to her for the exhibition battle (in his Masked Royal persona), "How about it, Sarah? What do you say we settle this with a full-on 6-on-6 battle in two halves; one half being a Master Triangle Battle between us and our remaining three in a traditional battle? Think of it as my way of saying 'thank you' to you and Zorua for what you did in helping keep me a secret for this long."

"Wow! You mean that?" gasped Sarah as she got a nod before she turned to Naganadel. "But, what about Naganadel? Will she get to battle you, too?"

"Of course, she's part of our Alola family with a Destiny Bond linking you two for life! That also means her friends she brought are welcome to join in if they want to."

Sarah nodded as she shared a fist bump with Kukui before she turned to Dia and his Zeraora, "What about you and Zeraora, Dia? Would you like to stay for the exhibition match tomorrow before you leave? Maybe you can also catch up with your old friends until then."

"Oh, yes!"

"Please stay, Dia! Please?!"

"Come on, Dia, Zeraora! Pleasssssse! It'll be a blast!" Dawn (Lycanroc), Beautifly, and Seviper begged, wanting Dia and Zeraora to stay for a while as the Shiny Legendary Beast nodded while smiling at them.

"That's nice but we must return to Ultra Ruin to continue restoring it to its former glory," Dia replied.

"Can they really be returned without a jolt from his world's Tapu Koko, Island Girl?" Race asked.

"Trust me, Race," Sarah replied before she continued to speak to Dia.

"You don't have to leave now. Besides, Suicune, Entei, Raikou, Seviper, Dawn, and Beautifly missed you guys and it's just for one Pokémon match and a little reunion with them. My new angelic magic can open up a dimensional portal for you when it's time for you to leave, you say the word when you're done and I'll have you two back home in a jiffy."

Dia remained silent as everybody waited to hear what he and Zeraora would say but they were starting to worry that he wouldn't care for the exhibition match and seeing Sarah and her Pokémon duke it out with Kukui, wanting to put the restoration of Ultra Ruin first before personal pleasure.

"l…You're not staying tomorrow?" Suicune questioned, concerned for Dia and his partner.

"I have a feeling Tapu Koko in our old world will understand you staying just for the exhibition match and our reunion. You won't be gone too long."

"Well, Dia, Zeraora... What do you say, are you up for it?" Entei and Raikou added.

Dia stayed silent along with Zeraora but eventually, the two of them looked at each other and smiled as they looked at the group and their old friends, telling them, "...We'll see. And, if you have any ideas to help us further our world's restoration, we don't mind."

"Yeah. Where's our room at?"

The gang and Hau cheered excitedly as they and a smiling Gladion along with their Pokémon, the Shiny Legendary Beasts, Beautifly, Seviper, and Dawn (Lycanroc) began to lead them inside the stadium and show them around first before they turned in for the night. As they left, Sarah and her family along with Kukui, Delia, Mimey, Prof. Oak, and Naganadel and her friends stayed behind, chuckling.

"Those two are gonna be in for a culture shock," Sarah sniggered.

"They're gonna be a while," Kukui agreed as he and Prof. Oak laughed.

Then, Prof. Oak recomposed himself and asked Sarah when he turned his attention to Naganadel and her friends, "By the way, Sarah, if Naganadel leaves after the match to return to Poipole Fantasy, what are you going to do with her legendary friends?"

"...Naganadel?" Sarah quizzed, looking at her former Ultra Beast charge.

Naganadel looked between her friends, her human mother, and Race as she then made up her mind and said, "...I think you and your man should have them in your stead to help keep an eye on things here."

"Wait, us? Again?" puzzled Race, blinking in surprise.

"Duh! Why not? Sarah already has the Legendary Beasts on her so why don't you have their counterparts since you both have the original and Shiny Eon Pokémon on you?" Sho smirked mischievously as he eyed Sarah and Race knowingly.

"Not a bad idea; adds more color and the princess can take up Lucifer, Tao, and Ho-Oh since she already has Suicune and her brothers along with Reshiram while you have your hands full with your new beasts, Chrome, and Cascade," sniggered Terrakion.

"It will be essential to have Chrome and Cascade with us so they can keep us in the know regarding what happens in Ultra Space should there be rumblings in other Alternative Worlds or any extraterrestrial threats coming to our world such as those three Guzzlord," Cobalion acknowledged.

"Yeah, look on the bright side! Now that you'll have your own Kyurem, Mommy, you can use White Kyurem with her and Grandpa Reshiram!" Quilava nodded in agreement, smiling.

"If that is their wish since it is mainly up to them and we still have the exhibition match to attend tomorrow, of course," Virizion reminded, knowing that Naganadel's friends would want to choose a new path for themselves if they wanted.

"Oh, right, I forgot. Uh, he-he, he...… Yeah, never mind that! Remember this?" Naganadel grinned sheepishly before she quickly drew a symbol of a thunderbolt, retaining her passion for art and painting.

"HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA! I knew it, you still have that artistic touch on ya!" Blitz laughed as the pair shared a loving bear hug.

"Well, Naganadel, what do you say? Want to rumble again like old times?" Sarah grinned at her old Ultra Beast daughter.

"Are you kidding?! I've been waiting for ages to battle with you again, Sarah! I thought Ultra Necrozma's return was the best day ever but forget that, nothing beats battling with you again! Tomorrow's going to be my REAL best day ever and I can't wait!" Naganadel cheered, twirling happily.

Sarah laughed before she turned to Kukui with her answer, "It's official, Naganadel's raring to go tomorrow! But, I warn you, Professor, I'm not gonna go easy on you and you're gonna be in for the ride of your life with my upcoming team alongside her!"

"Then, I expect nothing less from you, m'lady! Let's give it our all tomorrow! En-joy!" Kukui grinned, getting back into his Masked Royal persona.

"En-joy/En-joy/En-joy!" his royal friends repeated excitedly (with Doug, Delilah, and Tsukumaro getting over their awkwardness for the occasion) save for Naganadel's friends as they looked at the group in confusion, some of them tilting their heads.

The next morning, after some fast-track repairs by Tsukumaro, Race, and Sarah using Reparo, the stadium was restored and there was no sign of the damage done to the island by the Guzzlord hoard. The crowds returned, refreshed and ready for action, as they all cheered and waited for the exhibition match between Sarah and the Masked Royal to begin.

"Welcome back, ladies and germs! Last night's awards ceremony was interrupted by something nobody could've anticipated! As you can see, I'm doing just fine and ready to do more play-by-play! And, today, I couldn't have been more honored to bring you all the commentary for a battle so action-packed and full of excitement, it's a match fit for a king, queen, prince, or princess! The Alola Pokémon League has given us so much, resulting in our champions: our own Princess Sarah Tomoe and Ash Ketchum! And, awaiting these two was the star of the Battle Royal Dome: the Masked Royal! But, since last night, we've learned of his true identity: our very own Prof. Kukui! Needless to say, that shocking revelation topped every one of yesterday's golden headlines!" Caster announced as he took his place on his commentator's stand again.

Meanwhile, in her family's recreation spot, Sarah was already working out a plan to counter Kukui despite only knowing about Incineroar and his Lucario.

"Have you thought about who you'll need for your match with Prof. Kukui, honey? It won't be easy since you don't know about his other Pokémon apart from his Lucario and Incineroar," David inquired as he and the rest of their family watched the little princess plan things out.

Sarah nodded to her grandpa before she turned Aqua and Goodra, "Aqua, Goodra!"

The collared Primarina and Dragon Pokémon heard their human mother and quickly went over to her, "Yeah, Mom/Hmm?"

"I'm putting you on my team for today. Since it has been a while since you've battled Incineroar, I think it's only fair if you show him how much you've grown since your last face-off with him, deal?"

Aqua and Goodra grinned brightly and nodded as they shared a knowing high-five, "Alright/Yeah!"

As for Kukui and Incineroar, they were meditating in the trainer's lounge to prepare themselves for the upcoming exhibition battle. But, as they meditated, Kukui heard the sound of footsteps coming towards him. He opened his right eye to see who it was and to his surprise, it was Burnet who came to see him.

"I'm a complete failure as a fan... We've been married and living together and I have absolutely no idea," she admitted, leaning her head back from her husband as he sighed sadly, expecting her to be mad at him.

However, he was surprised as his wife giddily told him before leaving, "Masked Royal-no, wait... Prof. Kukui? I expect a great battle, especially from you!"

The Alola Professor smiled warmly as he watched her leave to join her friends in the viewer's lounge; judging by her reaction, maybe he didn't need to hide his secret from her, after all. He could tell that their bond and their marriage had grown stronger following the bombshell reveal the previous night and he wasn't going to forsake or take that for granted again.

Before long, it was time for the battle to begin as Sarah (with Blitz on her right shoulder) and Kukui arrived and Hala took his place as the referee.

"And, now... The moment you've all been waiting for; it's time to properly end the Alola League with a bang with our exhibition match between our Battle Dome Royal Master and our first Alola League Champion! Please, put your hands together for the Masked Royal, Prof. Kukui, and Princess Sarah as they enter the stadium arena!"

The crowd cheered wildly as Kukui and Sarah entered while Sophocles sighed, feeling stressed out, "Oh, man! I can't believe I feel such a nervous wreck!"

"Me, too! This battle's going to be a tough one, especially since Sarah will be up against Prof. Kukui!" agreed Lillie, sharing his sentiments.

"Go get him, Sarah! Do your best and win it for us and Alola's honor!" cheered Mallow with Shaymin and Tsareena joining in.

As expected, Sarah's entire family of Pokémon, dragons, and mythicals were cheering loudest of all to see if their human mother/caretaker could beat Kukui. Her human family shared their enthusiasm as they and Burnet were joined by Delia, Mimey, and Prof. Oak in the viewer's lounge. Even Raine, her Primarina, Hau, and Decidueye joined Gladion and his Silvally and Umbreon over on their spot in the stands, all of them anxious and excited to see if Sarah and her chosen team would come out on top.

"The star contestants make their long trek to speak with today's referee, Hala, before he can begin the game!"

Sarah and Kukui reached the middle of the field and Hala nodded as he prepared to go over the rules, "You two, play fair now. You're both at the top of the bracket."

"We're ready, Hala," Sarah reassured just as Kukui nodded.

"Right. Now, the rules: this will be a full 6-on-6 battle with the first half consisting of a Master Triangle Battle! There are no limits to switching out your Pokémon and the battle will be over when all of your Pokémon on either side is unable to battle further! The contestant with any Pokémon still standing will be the winner, I'm looking forward to the best efforts both trainers can put forth!"

Sarah and Kukui nodded as they began the match with a traditional handshake. "And, now...…. Take your places and we'll begin the match!"

As the princess and unveiled Masked Royal took their places on their respective sides of the arena, the others couldn't help getting more and more excited as they wondered how the match would play out.

"It's about to start now!"

"This is gonna be great!"

"I think Sarah and Blitz will win this one!"

"I just hope Sarah can pull through since we don't know any other Pokémon he can use besides his Lucario and Incineroar."

"Hey, we know she can win. She's gotten herself out of bigger scrapes before," Kiawe, Lillie, Lana, Hiccup, and Astrid stated.

Astrid and Lana's assurance over Sarah's win is well-founded; even Sarah's blood/adopted family watching with Faba, Lusamine, Burnet, and Wicke in the viewer's lounge couldn't help but feel happy for the little princess after seeing her determined and fun-filled smile.

"Our baby girl, I can't help feeling happy for her seeing that smile on her face," Delilah cooed.

"This is going to be the best battle she ever had and against her teacher of all people who helped cultivate her into the princess and daughter we have in this age and ours," Doug agreed, his father's pride kicking in.

Prof. Oak nodded in agreement as he made a new Pokémon poem involving the little princess, "Vibrant and young; Sarah knows there is a battle song to be sung!"

Burnet grinned at this, "Wow! A Pokémon poem!"

Caster made his next announcement as the monitor showed Sarah and Kukui with Pokeballs on either side with Blitz shown at the bottom of the princess' line-up and three Pokeballs at the top for both (Kukui's other three being a mystery along with Sarah's two for the second half), "If I may draw your attention to the monitor; as our first half will be a full battle with a Master Triangle Battle, the screen will display each of our trainers' Pokémon, making it easier to follow the battle's proceedings."

Preparing for the first half of their match with the Master Triangle Battle, Sarah took out her first three Pokeballs with her chosen team of three and Kukui took out a single Pokeball they smiled at each other, knowing that their MTB was going to be wild.

"I hope my team of three makes a good first impression, Prof.! 'Cause this one's going to be a splashdown for the ages!" Sarah smirked as she revealed her team of three, consisting of Aqua, Goodra, and Keldeo as they all got into a battle stance.

Kukui smirked as he revealed his main fighter going up against them, "I figured you'd bring them out, especially Aqua and Goodra given that promise we made with them. So, come on out!"

Out of the Pokeball and into the battlefield comes Incineroar, getting a daring smirk out of Aqua and Goodra as their greatest idol and rival smirked back and shouted, "I am the Battle Royal Pokémon Master, Incineroar! Guided by the fires of Alola, I'm ready to rumble!"

"I knew it," Sarah grinned, having known she and her team would combat Incineroar first.

"The Pokémon have been chosen as Aqua, Goodra, and Keldeo are squaring off against the Masked Royal's premier partner and ace of the Battle Royal Dome! An all-out rumble is expected with this classic match-up of 'Fire vs. Water' once the fun starts! But, what kind of rumble can we expect from this match-up and who else will Prof. Kukui bring out to join Incineroar should he so choose to throw a curveball at our princess?"

Burnet was ecstatic by this as she gushed uncontrollably (while having hearts floating around, her own heart beating with overwhelming joy for Kukui), "I just can't believe I'm the luckiest girl alive to have been married to both the Masked Royal and Kukui all in one! AAAAAHHH!"

"So, we meet again. I'm surprised you two made it this far after the kid won the tournament with her pal from Kanto. I'm very interested to test your skill this time," grinned Incineroar as he stared down Aqua and Goodra.

"Oh, believe us, pallie. We're not the same Popplio and Goomy we were before from that Battle Royal two years ago."

"We've gotten much stronger now and we're gonna bring you down," Aqua and Goodra replied, either flexing themselves or waving an edging flipper and daring the Battle Royal Dome Pokémon Champion to fight them again.

"Don't forget me, I'm also itching to see if you live up to your reputation as the professor's ace from the Battle Royal Dome," added Keldeo as he grinned.

"Right. I've heard many a story regarding the Swords of Justice and their most recent member. I wonder if your swordsmanship can compare with my wrestling, he-he-he-he-he-he...…. Are you ready? Come!"

"Let's go, Sarah! Make your move!" Kukui called as he and Incineroar gave the princess and her current team challenging smiles.

"Alright! Aqua, Keldeo, Twin Aqua Jet! Let's go!" Sarah nodded, having Keldeo and Aqua make the first move with Aqua Jet as they darted towards Incineroar and Goodra stayed back, ready to make his move if needed.

"Incineroar, take their attacks by using Bulk Up!" Kukui countered, having Incineroar boost his Physical Attack and Defense Stats as his Water Type foes collided with him and he pushed them back while he brushed off their Aqua Jets.

"As expected by the man behind the Pokémon League and the Masked Royal and his number one partner, Kukui and Incineroar tank Aqua and Keldeo's Aqua Jet attacks with Bulk Up, a move that increases one's defensive capabilities with its bulked-up muscles! Aqua Jet may be a super effective move against Fire Types but in Incineroar's case, that claim is null and void as he didn't flinch once!"

"Come on, give it your best shot."

"We're waiting~!" Kukui and Incineroar smirked, wanting more of a challenge from their royal opponents.

"Damn, as long as Incineroar knows Bulk Up, we're a battering ram against a steel door or brick wall. Well, two can play at that; Keldeo, Goodra, Psych Up plus Aqua Tail! Go!"

As Keldeo performed Psych Up to reset his current stats and copy Incineroar's Physical Attack and Defense Stats, Aqua stood back and Goodra went on the attack this time as he charged at his idol, ready to take a swing at him.

"Alright, use Darkest Lariat!" Kukui countered again, having his partner charge up his strongest attack as he met Goodra before the Dragon Pokémon attacked first with his Aqua Tail and blocked him, the two eventually pushing each other back after they were evenly matched.

"And, in a show of strength between these two strongmen, Goodra matches Incineroar and his Darkest Lariat attack with Aqua Tail!"

"Good job, Goodra! Keldeo, now use Close Combat!"

"Right!" Keldeo nodded as he lunged at Incineroar only for the Battle Royal Champion and Kukui to smirk knowingly.

"Gotcha~!" Kukui snarked, shocking Sarah as the Heel Pokémon knocked the Colt Pokémon away from him with a hard swipe from right to left before he was safely caught by Goodra.

"Oh, no!" the princess gasped in shock, seeing her surprise attack fall apart.

"You okay, dude?!" Goodra cried to Keldeo.

"I think so, thanks!" Keldeo nodded thankfully as they regrouped with Aqua.

"That's strange; I wonder why Sarah's holding Aqua and Keldeo back just now. We all know how much Aqua wanted to fight Incineroar more than any of her Pokémon so why keep her on a leash while Keldeo and Goodra have the honor?" Lana pondered in confusion, seeing Aqua not attacking again.

"Probably because she's looking for a weakness in Incineroar; something she and Aqua can exploit later on just as she did with Mudella during her and Ash's Grand Trial with Hapu," Kiawe suggested.

"Right. Aqua could be her main player for Incineroar later on so she's using Keldeo and Goodra to egg him on and try to expose any weaknesses or weak points in him," Rotom-Dex concurred.

"But, why would she have Keldeo use a move like Psych Up at a time like this?"

"What does it do?" puzzled Hiccup and Zenna, confused.

"That move is more useful than you think, you two. Psych Up allows a Pokémon to reset its stats back to its base levels and copy an opponent's stat changes in the processes. Incineroar used Bulk Up to boost his Physical Attack and Defense Stats so Keldeo used Psych Up to copy those same stats so both of them now have their Physical Attack and Defense Stats raised by one point each."

"You and Incineroar may have gotten us that time, Kukui, but I guarantee you won't be so lucky next time! We're just getting started! Keldeo, Double Team and trap Incineroar!" Sarah shouted, deciding to have Keldeo use Double Team to try and fool the Heel Pokémon as he and his clones galloped around him in a circle.

"Keldeo is so fast with his Double Team attack, Incineroar could only stand there! What is he trying to do?"

"Excellent. You've done a great job raising Keldeo ever since you took him and the Swords of Justice in. Now, use Throat Chop!" Kukui praised with a smirk as he and Incineroar exchanged knowing looks before his partner nodded and used the Fighting Type attack on Keldeo after he quickly pinpointed him.

"DACK!" Keldeo grunted as he was sent into the air but pulled himself together before he glowed orange all over, his Justified Ability suddenly kicking in at that moment.

"It looks like that Throat Chop has activated Keldeo's Justified Ability but will his increased attack strength make all the difference this time?" Caster commentated.

"Now, charge in!"

"Use Secret Sword, now!" Sarah countered as Incineroar closed in on Keldeo before the Colt Pokémon switched to his Resolute Form and used Secret Sword on him.

But, just as he met his powerful foe, the Colt Pokémon grunted in frustration as Incineroar smirked, having caught his signature attack with his palms together and pushed him back with little-to-no effort. Sarah gritted her teeth as the two of them returned to their respective sides after they landed, seeing the full extent of Incineroar's training.

"I knew you were crafty but we were ready for you, Sarah! I suppose you planned earlier to use Keldeo's Double Team to confuse Incineroar with his agility. However, as you can imagine, Incineroar has become so used to battling so many opponents at once that he can easily track down their moments 360 degrees around. In short, Incineroar has no weak spots," Kukui smirked knowingly.

Sarah could only glare back as she thought, "Hmm... No blind spots, he says? That's true, but still... He's only battled so much on the arena floor back at the Battle Royal Dome b-hmm? Wait, the arena? Of course, now I get it!"

At that moment, upon seeing the hole in Kukui's previous claim regarding Incineroar's lack of weak spots, the princess' eyes widened as she readied herself with her next plan of attack for Keldeo, Goodra, and Aqua.

"Now, it's time to show you just how hot a flame can be at its full potential! Use Blast Burn!"

"Who knew this giant pot of an arena could contain my flames when they become so hot? Open wide, kids! HAAAAA!" Incineroar smirked as he released a large amount of heat from his fire-like waist belt.

Sarah grunted as she tried to shield herself from the heat while Blitz yelped, "GEEZES TO ARCEUS, HOT!"

"WHOO-HOO! Now, this is my kind of thing! Fire! Fire, baby! Bring it on! WHOOO!" Kiawe's family's Marowak cheered as he twirled his bone and tossed it into the air, enjoying the heat Incineroar was giving out.

"Burn, baby, burn! More! YEEEEEAAAAHHHHH!" Hookfang agreed, wanting more of Incineroar's heat as he giddily took it in.

"Oh, come on! I hate fire and heat! Not even Kaji's Blast Burn is that powerful!" Star griped loudly, not enjoying the heat given that she's partly a Steel Type.

"I say! That blasted firehouse down there would do so well as to mind his heat with us Steel Types!" Cobalt agreed, incensed about the heat from Incineroar.

"Hey, pal! Tone it down, will ya?!" raged a hot and bothered Nico.

"OW, OW, OW, OW, OW, OW, OW, OW! HOT, HOT, HOT, HOT, HOT, HOT, HOT, HOT!"

"Ow, hot! Hot, hot, hot, HOOOOOOOOT! INFERNO, SAVE US!" Hydro and Hurricane squealed in pain, plastering themselves to a surprised Singetail as he ignored the heat.

"Oh, man! That's hot, hot, hot!"

"Yeah, it's like standing near a stove at 100 degrees," Sophocles and Mallow complained, also not taking too kindly to the heat along with everybody else on the heroes' side.

Despite the heat that Incineroar was giving off through Blast Burn, Sarah, Keldeo, Aqua, and Goodra looked at each other and nodded, deciding to put their next plan and her new idea into action to get an edge on him and Kukui.

"Goodra, Rain Dance! Keldeo, Secret Sword again! Aqua, Dive!" the princess shouted.

Roaring at the heavens, Goodra used Rain Dance to call upon a rainstorm before it started to rain on the battlefield, weakening the power of Blast Burn by half and allowing Keldeo to charge in with Secret Sword once more and finally get a solid hit on Incineroar (who was temporarily paralyzed by the coming rain).

"Wow! Talk about a wet and wild combo to beat the heat; Incineroar got to Keldeo, Goodra, and Aqua with Blast Burn but Goodra retaliated by using Rain Dance to weaken it long enough for Keldeo to take the shot and get a super effective blow at him! But, wait, only Goodra and Keldeo? I don't see Aqua anywhere, what happened to her?"

Incineroar and Kukui realized this and they looked around until the Heel Pokémon was taken completely by surprise as she erupted from underneath him, engulfing him in water and sending him into the air with her Dive attack.

"AH!" Kukui gasped, flabbergasted by the unexpected assault by the Soloist Pokémon.

"Whoa! Oh, ho-ho-ho-ho! That's a 'Gotcha!' moment if I've ever seen one; Aqua used a super effective Dive supercharged by Goodra's Rain Dance to take Incineroar by surprise! That's going to cost him and Kukui now that she managed to hit him Type-wise!"

"Whoa!"

"Incredible!"

"How did she-?!"

"They're amazing!"

"Yeah, Sarah, you got their butts kicked!"

"Take it home!"

"Yeah, bring it!"

"That's it, lass! Don't let up!"

"Make us and all of Berk proud, you and your Pokemon!" the Vikings cried ecstatically and in shocked amazement while their dragons and Partner Pokémon cheered for the little princess and her team.

"Sarah's awesome!"

"Even Aqua, Goodra, and Keldeo are amazing with how they battled!"

"Their teamwork is honed to a fever pitch!"

"That teamwork and the bonds they shared could be the keys to Prof. Kukui and Incineroar!"

"They're so cool!"

"If they keep this up, they'll beat Incineroar and move on to the rest of the professor's team in no time!" Ash and the gang grinned broadly as their Pokémon cheered excitedly as Aqua, Goodra, and Keldeo regrouped.

Once again, Kukui had to smile as he grew impressed with their and Sarah's teamwork, "I'm impressed, Sarah! You surprised us that time; you used Keldeo and Goodra as a front to distract us and pinpoint a weakness in Incineroar's defenses and had Aqua strike when we least expected it. All that training paid off, I assume?"

Sarah smiled back as she told him, "I figured you say that Incineroar had no blind spots on him. I felt your proclamation was a little off since my Singetails are capable of 360-degree vision but it's a different story for them with tracking underground movement so that's something I connected between your ace and them. Unlike them, he only battled three opponents at a time and I knew Dig and Dive couldn't be used in the Battle Royal Dome compared to here."

Kukui nodded as he continued, "Taking full advantage of all that you and your Pokémon learned and putting it into practice; excellent, just what I was hoping for!"

He then looked between the Colt Pokémon, Aqua, and Goodra as he returned his partner and then brought out a second Pokeball, "Alright, Incineroar, time for a rest. Alright, Sarah, let's keep the magic going!"

As he watched on, Hala couldn't help but feel proud for Kukui, recalling him from his childhood when he was eager to become a Pokémon Trainer, "*Hmm, this battle's so passionate. It feels as though little Ku is right back here with us...…!*"

"Braviary, go! Take to the skies and show our three Master Triangle challengers and Sarah your bravery!" Kukui smirked as he brought out his Valiant Pokémon to do battle with Keldeo and Incineroar's rivals.

"Now, that's what I call a big bird; Braviary, the Valiant Pokémon and the evolved form of Rufflet. A Normal and Flying Type, in Ancient Alola, Braviary were respected as 'The Heroes of the Skies'. These Pokémon teamed up to fight back against people who threatened their territory or so the story goes," Rotoscope quipped as he brought out his data entry for Braviary.

"Wow, Kukui's so cool!" gushed Burnet as hearts floated around her again. "YOU CAN DO IT, BRAVIARY!"

Sarah frowned a little as she realized she, Aqua, Keldeo, and Goodra will now be facing off against Kukui's Best Man/Pokémon from his and Burnet's wedding over a year ago, "Braviary, huh? I'll have to be careful; along with Lucario and Incineroar, Braviary's the only other Pokémon I know Prof. Kukui has on him while the other three are a mystery."

She turned to her Pokémon out on the field and called out, "Aqua, Keldeo, Goodra, return!"

Recognizing her change of plans, the two Water Types and Dragon Type nodded as they rushed back to the little princess and stood with her from her right (but not without getting appreciative hugs and kisses from her for their efforts against Incineroar).

"Well, Mom?" Blitz questioned, knowing what's up.

"So, Sarah, who will you send out now?" Hala asked as Sarah turned to her Alola Pikachu and nodded, allowing Blitz to nod back with a knowing smile and take his place on the field before she threw her next two Pokeballs and revealed the remaining half of her own team joining him with Curly and her own Braviary.

"Ready?" Blitz asked his mate knowingly.

"Yeah," Curly nodded as they held hands and looked at Sarah's Braviary as he gave them an agreeing nod and told them, "Let's go."

"And, our second Master Triangle battle is a classic match up of Flying and Electric Types with Kukui's Braviary facing off against Sarah's Hisuian Braviary, Blitz, and Curly! But, since Sarah's Braviary is also a Psychic Type, what kind of curveballs (with Sarah's help) will the Battle Cry Pokémon pull off against his modern present-day descendant?"

"Very well. Alright, battle begin!" Hala nodded in approval, continuing the battle.

"Braviary, use Rock Slide!" Kukui called, making the first move again as his Valiant Pokémon shot rocks at his challengers.

"Brace yourselves, guys!" Sarah called to her new team who agreed and held their ground.

"Right/Got/Roger!"

The Alola Pokemon League exhibition match is off to a rousing start between student and teacher! But, there's plenty more to come from Sarah and Kukui with lots more heat as well as the journey continues!
