The sun was shining brightly as Sarah wiped her brow of sweat as she gazed at the finished Campus dome of her latest finished project for Hiccup, Tom and their friends. The Ranger Academy.
A place where Hiccup, Tom and their friends could learn all there was about the Ranger legacy and learn more about being Rangers themselves. Ever since Race mentioned this idea to her, she made architectural, curriculum and term plans with some members of the Heart Scale Council - a team of dragons whom acted as her advising council alongside Marena.
Qibli first thought about it since Hiccup and the others' encounter with Venjix and suggested it to Queen Thorn and Marena one day and they both could see how productive an academy like that would be. The other Queens were in approval as well (with Sol having told them about the Ranger Legacy, being the Spirit of Knowledge obviously) and the Ranger Academy was born at that moment.
The facility was built on a beautiful island which was mountainous with sandy beaches, and trees and shrubs. Sarah was coated in dust, grime and slight splashes of oil were on her armor from working on putting the final touches on the large Pink dome in front of her. The facility was built with six domes; one huge one in the middle and five other domes around it each a different color; Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, Pink and Black.
"Looks perfect Sarah." Queen Glory smiled, her scales splashed with pink and yellow as a sign of her approval.
"This will definitely help your friends with their new Ranger alter selves." Reader grinned fluttering with wings with joy.
"Have you put together the teachers for each class?" Queen Thorn checked.
"Yep." Sarah nodded. The teachers she'd chosen were different Pyrrhia and Pantala Dragons since they were as educated as any human teacher in a specific field could be. Since NightWings studied many of the same subjects as humans did, she paired one with another breed of dragon so they can work as a team to aid the group.
"Since Hiccup and the others have been doing well with the School of Dragons curriculum, this should be a breeze for them." Sarah continued.
Together with the Eight Queens, Reader and Marena, they'd came up with a good School Term for them. Like the School of Dragons' terms, each one lasted three months before taking a two months break such as the school opening its doors in Feburary before closing on the first day of June before it would reopen in September.
In that meantime, Sarah would bring her trainees here so they can learn how to be protectors of their respective homes which was important.
With Buzzsaw, Sledkin and the World Serpent defeated in the Hidden World, that didn't mean things would be forever peaceful. Things sure wouldn't be in the Archipelago until the Hunters were defeated for good. This way, both sides would become more offensive and defensive in the field while she tended to her other duties without worrying about how they were holding up.
Given they all excelled when it came to piloting the Zords against Evox and using their new powers against the World Serpent Sarah started her friends out as Junior Rangers.
Planning out their curriculum, Sarah would start them with a Morphin Trial which would be a rigorous test she and the Queens came up with. Marena wanted the Morphin Test to be where the group would go out in space, fight aliens and collect some items before they came back but Sarah knew that was way beyond their skillset, despite the Vikings's fighting talents. Being in the middle of 70 islands, isolated, meant they were cut off from outside knowledge before Sarah opened the School of Dragons to introduce that to them.
So instead, Sarah put her own test suggestion for the Morphin Trial into consideration amongst the ladies whom agreed it would be much safer for them.
"And here come your Mini Ranger teams now." Queen Coral gestured at the sky where several shapes were seen flying towards them. It was Hiccup, Tom, Astrid, Jun, D'Angelo, Fishlegs, Snotlout, Eugene, Ruffnut, Tuffnut, Alex, Zenna, Stoick, Gobber, Henna and Edgar together.
Phillip, Angela, Olivia, May, Carla and Hazel were riding on Elder and Alder, wanting come and see the new facility Sarah created their children.
The dragons landed on the ground as the humans dismounting, gasped in awe at the facility in front of them.
"Awesome Sarah!" Tom praised.
"Yeah!" Hiccup beamed.
"Oooh, this is so exciting." Fishlegs grinned with delight.
"You really made this to help us be Rangers?" Jun wondered in astonishment.
"Yes, give you guys know me and my friends Ranger secret and being new teams of Rangers yourself, this Academy will help you learn what me and my friends have learned when we first became Rangers." Sarah explained.
"It's a marvelous facility, Sarah." May Wong complimented.
"I wonder what curriculums you created for them." Olivia smirked slightly and Sarah could tell she was wondering if this would help keep Tom out of trouble which he has a knack for finding just like her and her real father Doug Tomoe.
"Come inside the Opalescent Dome and you'll see." Sarah gestured for them to follow her inside the Opalescent Dome - central building of the Academy which houses everything the Junior Rangers would need when not in class.
Entering and looking around, Tom and everyone else were in complete awe at how huge the inside of the dome was thanks to Sarah using the Extension Charm to make it seem like a mini mansion on the inside.
The building had Dorm Rooms on the second floor which could be accessed via a spiral staircase in the right corner of the ground floor; each fitting to match the respective Junior Ranger even having a sleeping and feeding area for his or her dragon.
The Cafeteria on the ground floor had a wide variety of cuisines to meet the dietary needs of humans, pokemon and dragons along with an observation deck for stargazing.
There was a small School Store which houses Potions, Medicine, Snacks and more for the students to purchase if they wanted to.
Part of the ground floor opened up to the sky where the dragons and pokemon could spread their wings or go and play with their riders on the sandy beaches without worry.
The Nexus Hall allows previous teams of Power Rangers from across space and time to teleport to the school in person and give inspirational lectures, lessons and speeches to the Junior Rangers.
The Training Hall - hence the name allowed the students to practice their self defense such as learning martial arts or different fighting styles from predecessor Rangers.
The Scotts Library and Archives, which Alex and Fishlegs both nearly drooled over before carefully being ushered past thanks to Jun and Astrid, held a vast repository of information on Ranger history and a vast collection of information from across the universe readily available for cadets to use for their studies in the form of books or holographic data capsules.
The Teacher's Lounge was located in this area, though it was only able to be accessed by the faculty via a security pass.
"Amazing!" Tom breathed.
"Cool!" Eugene grinned. "Right Webs."
"Yeah." Webs nodded.
"I never saw anything like this before."
"It's incredible."
"Yeah, a secondary home for us and our riders."
"Wonder what their gonna learn here?" Thunder, Wu and Wei and Feathers wondered.
"The school has five different campuses with specialized classes for specific Ranger colors, but since your Dragon Scale Armor matches the color and patterns of your dragons the Queens and I have put together which Campus you'll be studying in based on the skills they and I have seen from you all previously. Tom and Hiccup; you two will be in Red Campus."
"Sweet!" Tom cried in joy.
"Okay." Hiccup shrugged anxiously.
"Zenna, Astrid and Alex, you'll be in Blue Campus."
"Sweet."
"Sounds great." Astrid and Jun smiled.
"Snotlout and Eugene, you'll be in Black Campus."
"Bring it on." Snotlout snickered.
"Let's do this Webs." Eugene beamed at his partner.
"Ruffnut and D'Angelo, you'll be in Yellow Campus along with Tuffnut and Jun and Stoick, Gobber, Henna and Edgar, you'll be in Pink Campus."
"Yeah!" the twins cheered before banging their helmets together.
"So what does each campus specialize in?" Phillip wondered.
"The Red campus is dedicated to the nurturing of leadership and teamwork necessary for being a Red Ranger. The campus has an athletics program for fitness with basketball, rock climbing, an obstacle course and a gymnasium. The Blue Campus is the tech and science campus that encourages exploration of their curiosity and creativity and expands their knowledge. Classes include chemistry, geology, and environmental survival training. The Blue Campus also has a robotics club." Sarah began to explain each campus designated course and teaching area.
"The Yellow Campus is partially dedicated to rescue training while the other is dedicated to medicine and healing. The campus also features a gardening club where you'll learn about natural remedies and you'll be trained for CPR procedures with dummies and how to perform water rescues with life preservers along with learning about dragon biology and anatomy in more depth. The Green Campus is dedicated to self-defense and combat training. The Black Campus is dedicated to testing the limits of cadets. Classes include criminal psychology and simulations of hostage situations to determine if cadets can save lives under pressure. The Pink Campus includes the basics on Interstellar and Temporal navigation - traveling through time and space. There is a Flight Simulator in between Red and Blue campuses, designed to aid you in piloting, which will prepare you to handle operating spacecraft or Zords, especially since Hiccup and the others got a crash course against Evox."
The Professors for Red Campus were Mindful and Eagle
The Professors of Yellow Campus were Typhoon - a SeaWing/IceWing Hybrid and Sierra the MudWing with Mistletoe - a deep blue LeafWing with highlighted green and yellow wing membranes and speckles of golden and yellow scales being the mentor on Gardening since she was the Leafspeak Mentor on Pantala.
The Professors of Black Campus was a NightWings SmokeSight, a very bright light blue IceWing with slightly darker topscales and darker horns named Bearberry and his detective partner Wolf - whom was a darker blue IceWing with yellow underscales, wing membranes, horns and claws
The Professors of Pink Campus were Hyena and Springbok - SandWings that Sarah changed from their murderous past selves whom were part of Qibli's disgraced family and Queen Scarlet.
And even though Sarah was technically the Headmaster of the Academy, Sarah shared the title with Granduer - her elderly RainWing Ambassador to the other tribes. She was bigger than Glory because of her older age of 50 but she was regal and stately. She knew Granduer would be a great Headmaster for the small group of students as she was a big help in being the Ambassador to the other Viking tribes.
Her Headmaster office had several couches for her on the left side along with desk which held a small plaque with her name of it and several small figurines of Nebby, Nebula and Reshiram. Behind her desk was a small charging station for her Panthera Energem and the Dragon Chargers. To the left of that were different hanging sheaths and holders for her Ranger Weapons. Half way in her officer there was a huge open valley (created with the Extension Charm) where her family could play and have fun made from fresh green grass having large pools of water for her Water types and Mythicals to play with plenty of fish and lots of fruit trees for them to eat.
"Sounds wonderful." Carla beamed.
"Indeed." Hazel nodded.
"We've even incorporated courses on Dragon Riding; rescues, flight maneuvers, aerial battle tactics and more," Queen Ruby informed with a smile. "This will help them all in the long run now that they have their new powers. Ranger and Super."
"What about them with the School of Dragons?" Alex wondered, pointing to Hiccup and the Vikings whom were still attending the School of Dragons.
"I opened the School of Dragons in February before closing on the first day of June. Like a typical college semester before it reopens in September. So they have time to spend here as do you." Sarah explained matter-of-factly.
"This is gonna be so cool." Tom beamed wondering what adventures laid ahead for him and his friends with this new academy. "With this new school, I wonder how this'll change us for the better."
"Oh, I think it'll change all of you guys for the better." Sarah thought happily.
