DEATHBATTLE DOORS OPEN BACK UP

The doors open to a bright blue sky with hardly a cloud in sight. In the distance birds are heard chirping. Suddenly a distant buzzing is heard. The buzzing quickly grows louder and louder until *ZOOOOOM* something sounding like a plane zooms on by the camera. It's not a plane though, rather a human wearing what looks to be "plane legs." In fact that's exactly what it is. The young girl with the plane legs then reaches for her ear.
Yoshika: This is Miyafuji. I've entered the area of the disturbance. Do you think it could be the Neuroi again?
There is a response that comes though her ear piece. It's her superior. Mio Sakamoto.
Sakamoto: Reading you loud and clear Miyafuji. And we're not sure. Sanya says this is the first time she's ever picked up this kind of signal. So be careful out there. And sorry for pulling you away from you victory tour for this. But you were the only one in the area who could check it out.
Yoshika: It's fine. A witch must always be prepared. I'm fully armed.
Sakamoto: Yes, but remember, Reppumaru on your back was only for show at your next stop. NEVER use it again.
Yoshika: Yes I know.
A huge amount of static then comes over her ear piece.
Yoshika: Hello? Sakamoto-san are you there? Did you copy?
Only more static comes across. Yoshika taps on her ear piece again to see if she can get signal but only gets more static. Suddenly a bright golden light appears in front of her.
Yoshika: What is….
She can only mutter those two words before the light comes straight at her, leaving her no chance to evade. She flies right into it. She shields her eyes as the golden light envelops her.
Yoshika: What is this?
That is the only thing she can say before the light then quickly fades. She slowly opens her eyes and is shocked to see a heavy overcast sky above her. The temperature is a bit colder now too. She looks down and can only see what looks like a war torn no-man's-land far below.
Yoshika: What? It was sunny just a moment ago. Where did all these clouds come from? And why is the ground all blown to pieces?
Suddenly a bullet goes whizzing past her head. She comes to a screeching halt.
Tanya: Halt! In the name of the Empire I demand you to stop. Who are you? What unit are you with? …. Wait. What country are you even with?
Yoshika looks up and sees a small blond girl with ice blue eyes flying in front of her. She could be mistaken for a cute doll if it weren't for the battle rifle she's holding up aimed at Yoshika's face.
Yoshika: Huh?
That's the only thing Yoshika can mutter as she subconsciously holds up her hands.
Tanya: Don't "HUH" me! Answer me! Who the hell are you and who are you with!?
Tanya adjusts her rifle and looks down its sights as if ready to shoot Yoshika.
Yoshika: I-I'm Flight Sargent and Surgeon Pilot Officer Miyafuji Yoshika of the 501st Joint Fighter Wing. I'm a witch from Fuso.
Tanya: Witch? Fuso? Joint Fighter Wing? Never heard of them! Are you one of those international volunteer mages!? .oO(Wait her name sounds Japanese? Is the version of Japan in this world called Fuso? No, I would have seen it on the world maps. She's lying. I need some answers. And that's the craziest flight suit I've ever seen. She's practically not wearing any pants!)
Yoshika: Huh? You haven't? Then um…. Who might you be and what's going on? Where am I? What is a volunteer mage? .oO(Who is this little girl? And what kind of striker unit is that? No propellers? How is she flying?)
Suddenly time seems to come to a stop and a golden light shines down on both of them.
Tanya: Tck… Being X. I take it this is you're doing then?
Tanya says this harshly as she clicks her tongue in annoyance.
Being X: Yes, It is I, God. I have brought her here for a special purpose.
Yoshika: God? Being X? Um… So you were the one who hit me with that light? And what purpose? Do you need me to heal someone?
Yoshika is surprised by the sudden booming voice that's all around her. It seems to be radiating from the golden light itself.
Tanya: Pay him no mind. He's just some mysterious asshole being that seems to get enjoyment out of testing me.
Being X: As rude to your god as ever I see.
Tanya: YOU ARE NO GOD! Gods do not exist! I'd so much believe that aliens were real before gods.
Yoshika can only sweet drop.
Yoshika: .oO(But they are real.)
Being X: ENOUGH. I can only be so tolerant to your arrogance. Which is why I have brought this girl to your world.
Tanya: Oh?
Yoshika slowly raises her hand.
Yoshika: Um… Can someone fill me in? What is this talk about gods an other worlds?
Being X: Simply put Miyafuji, we have brought you here to this world to end this "disobedient" child's arrogance you see before you.
Tanya: You know damn well I am no child!
Being X: Oh yes, I "forget" that you were once an adult before I brought you here.
Yoshika: What do you mean by "end her disobedience?" Are you asking me to spank her?
Being X: No, I am asking you to END her. I've decided to give her one final test to see if she is worthy of life or death.
Tanya's Eyebrow lifts in curiosity while Yoshika only looks in shock.
Yoshika: Wait, are you asking me to kill her?
Being X: In a manner of speaking yes.
Yoshika: I can't kill someone! I refuse!
Being X: If you wish to return to your world you will meet my request.
Yoshika is left flabbergasted.
Tanya: Kill me!? Hah! You expect a little girl like her to kill me? What a farce! So, HUH? What do I get if I win? One less test of my abilities from now on? Hah! I might as well turn around a go away right now! Just return her to her world as she is clearly going to be useless to you.
Yoshika: Hey that's not nice to say!
Tanya: Like I give a shit about your feelings.
Being X: You, "little child," I will leave alone from now on if you somehow win.
Tanya cocks her eyebrow again, this time in interest.
Tanya: You mean when I kill this girl….
Being X: Yes. When you praise me. I will leave you alone. You will have no more wars, no more battles, and you will have that quiet desk job.
Tanya then gives a sadistic smile, one which sends a slight chill down Yoshika's back.
Tanya: Well, Well. That is interesting! So you'll finally fuck off and let me live my life in blissful peace if I'm victorious? How do I know you'll keep your promise?
Yoshika: Huh!? What?!
Being X: I am GOD. What promises I make, I keep. Haven't you at least learned that lesson yet?
Tanya: You were always giving me offers I couldn't refuse, even if I wanted to. Okay. If it means that I can finally have my freedom from you then I'll agree.
Yoshika: Huh!?
Being X: And you girl form another world, Miyafuji. If you win I will send you back to your world as if nothing had ever happened.
Yoshika: W-Wait a moment!
The Golden light begins to fade and time starts to resume.
Yoshika: Hey wait! I never agreed to this! WAIT!
The light is gone and time flows normally again. Yoshika, still with her arms up in the air as if trying to reach for something, is left in utter bewilderment.
Yoshika: It's…. gone…
There's a moment of silence before Tanya breaks the still air.
Tanya: Hehehehehe Hehehehehehehe That bastard's gone and done it again. Left someone else behind to clean up his mess!
Yoshika is left in confusion at Tanya's sudden dark sounding giggling.
Tanya: Young girl, Miyafuji was it?! You inquired about wanting to know who I was earlier? Well then, let me give you a proper introduction!
Yoshika looks on when a slight blue tinge comes across her face from seeing Tanya's demeanor getting more and more creepy by the second, and her voice taking on a more authoritative tone.
Tanya: I am Lt. Colonel Tanya von Degurechaff of the 203rd Aerial Mage Battalion and Commander of the Salamander Kampfgruppe. Receiver of the Silver Wings Assault Medal and veteran of countless bloody battles! I've brought nothing but victory to my Great Empire! I have killed hundreds of enemy soldiers…
She then stares coldly into Yoshika's eyes. Yoshika can feel a twinge of fright brewing in her heart.
Tanya: .…And now young girl…. I'M GOING TO KILL YOU…
A sadistic smile comes across Tanya's face as she delivers that last line in a true dark and cold tone. Yoshika's face turns a pale blue at the sight of Tanya's twisted smile. Tanya then tightens her grip in her rifle, backflips, and charges Yoshika headlong. She points her gun right at Yoshika's head. Yoshika finally snaps back from her fright.
Yoshika: Wait! Wait! We can still talk this over first!
BANG! BANG! BANG! Tanya lets fly three rapid shots. She's given her answer. Yoshika quickly throws up a shield to block them. BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! Yoshika unexpectedly gets thrown backward.
Yoshika: YAAAAH! Those….those weren't normal bullets?
Tanya: Why would they be!?
Tanya climbs hard, spins around and lets several more shots go in rapid succession. Yoshika puts up another shield, this time a stronger one and stops the shots. This time they harmlessly explode against it.
Tanya: Those are some interesting shields you have there. Never seen that kind before, but how long will they last against my barrage!?
Yoshika: Please stop! I don't want to kill another human! This is pointless!
Tanya: Humpf. If you're not going to fight then just die.
With that Tanya dives down on Yoshika again, this time pulling out her SIG MKMS sub-machinegun. TKTKTKTKTKTKTKT! She lets go a long burst. Yoshika once again puts up her shields. The bullets pelt her shields, each one making a small explosion. Yoshika doesn't even budge under the force. As Tanya closes the distance rapidly, she front flips and tries to hit Yoshika with the butt of her gun. Yoshika's shield easily stops it.
Tanya: Tsk.
Tanya clicks her tongue again and uses Yoshika's shield to jump away.
Tanya: .oO(Those are some durable shields. I'm actually impressed)
Yoshika lowers her hands. And a stress sweet drop forms on her check.
Yoshika: .oO(She's not going to stop. I guess I have no choice.)
Yoshika hesitantly takes a hold of her Type 99. With a loud bang and a high revving of her striker unit she takes off after Tanya. Tanya looks back and sees Yoshika closing in on her and gives a smirk.
Tanya: Finally found the guts to fight back did you?
Tanya turns back and begins to fly in evasive maneuvers. Yoshika peruses close behind matching Tanya's maneuvers. She raises her type 99 and takes aim at Tanya. She reaches for the trigger but her finger twitches in place. Yoshika grits her teeth. She hesitates to fire. Suddenly Tanya spins in mid-air and lets go another burst from her sub-machine gun, hoping to catch Yoshika unprepared. Yoshika barely throws up a shield in time to block the incoming fire. Tanya smirks again.
Tanya: What's this? Hesitating? That's deadly on the battlefield! I'm not even working up a sweat here! Maybe you should just die after all.
Tanya Mocks Yoshika for her lack of combat skills.
Tanya: If you won't take this seriously, then maybe I should!
Tanya reaches into her backpack and pulls something out. She pulls a cord at its bottom. She flips over and throws it back at Yoshika. The foot long stick shape device comes straight at Yoshika's face.
Yoshika: Is that a gern….?
KABLAM! She doesn't even get to finish her sentence before the item explodes against her shield. It was a Stelhandgrante grenade! The flash and smoke it kicks up blinds Yoshika for a moment. But a second later she blows on out. Only to find that Tanya is no longer in front of her. Some of her dog fighting instincts kick in and Yoshika immediately checks her surroundings. Then a slight green glow from below her grabs her attention. She looks down to see Tanya below her aiming her rifle at her just as she pulls the trigger. Yoshika throws a shield up just in time. KABOOM! Another explosion rocks her shields. That one felt different than the others. Almost as if it was trying to penetrate her shields.
Yoshika: .oO(Armor piercing?)
Tanya: TCK!
Tanya clicks her tongue in frustration again. She twists around a dives toward the ground.
Yoshika: .oO(I get it now. Her magical ability must allow her to imbue her ammunition with different explosive qualities. That means I can't let up on my shields!)
Yoshika once again takes her type 99 in hand and dives on after Tanya.
Tanya: .oO(She took a grenade and an armor piercing round back to back and her shields still held? I guess this won't be so easy after all. I'd better kick it up a notch.)
Tanya quickly reaches the ground and flies along it just foot off from it. Yoshika sees her chance and pulls up to pull lead on her. She once again places her finger on the trigger. She hesitates again for a split second before she bites her bottom lip and pulls it this time. RATATATATATATATATATATA! She lets a burst of fire go. Tanya then turns to face it. The bullets bounce harmlessly off her shield. Yoshika gives an expression of shock. Tanya then gives a smirk back.
Tanya: Regular bullets!? HA! Is that all you got? Those won't do shit to my shields!
Tanya mocks Yoshika before flipping her the middle finger, pulling out her sub-machine gun, and lets go a burst of fire back. Yoshika is understandably miffed at being flipped off, but instead of raising her shield she pulls up and banks away to the right, letting the green shinning bullets fly on past. Tanya follows her for a moment with her fire before stopping. She pulls the empty magazine out before placing a fresh one in. She flips around and kicks off a long dead and burnt out tree and pursues Yoshika once again. She switches to her Mondragon Modelo 1908 rifle and begins lobbing long range shots at Yoshika. Yoshika deftly dodges them. As the two gain altitude they start getting into the low lying clouds. As Yoshika enters one, she flips backwards and bolts back out of the clouds again going head to head with Tanya. Tanya only smirks. Both girls take aim again and fire at the same time.TKTKTKTKTKTKTKT! RATATATATATATATATA! Both guns let out their unique musical scores but both salvos bounce harmlessly off each others shields. Just before they pass one another at high speed Tanya tries to take a swipe at Yoshika with her bayonet. Yoshika doesn't have time to throw up a shield and the bayonet barely grazes Yoshika's animal ear, taking off a couple of hairs.
Tanya: .oO(I see. She has to see and react to the attack in order to use her shields. Maybe I can use that to my advantage.)
Tanya smirks again and continues the climb into the clouds. Yoshika comes around quickly but doesn't see Tanya.
Yoshika: She's in the clouds isn't she?
Yoshika sees a small sparkle of light just barely peaking through the clouds. Red, blue, green, yellow, a whole slew of rainbow colors can be seen barely illuminating the clouds from behind. Tanya is charging for a more powerful shot.
Yoshika: That's not good is it?
Yoshika quickly throws up a shield.
Tanya: Oh mighty god. Grant me the power to punish this heretic who thinks she can defeat one of your children. Your light is like the morning sun. Use it to illuminate the darkness, hidden in the ground. Praise the Lord, who is now born to us!
A magical HUD pops up in front of Tanya and she zooms in on and takes aim at Yoshika from a distance.
Tanya: Let's see if your shields can hold THIS back.
KATHOOOOM! An almighty thud comes from her rifle as a bright green artillery spell comes rocketing out. It splits through the low hanging clouds leaving greenish electrical sparks as it flies down at super sonic speeds. Yoshika narrows her eyes and increases her shield's power. KAAAABOOOOOOOOOOOMMMM!! The spell hits and a huge explosion rocks Yoshika's shield. She's pushed back a little. Thunderous echos reverberate through the land as the fire and smoke of the explosion plum upward in a small mushroom cloud, sucking up and using up all the Oxygen in the air. But as the smoke slowly starts to blow away in the wind, a blue round light can be seen glowing. Yoshika's shield held. And surprisingly without much difficulty. Tanya opens her eyes in a little shock as she watches the smoke clear from her HUD and still sees Yoshika in one piece and her shield holding and a glow around her body. She can't help but let out a small concerned smirk.
Tanya: This girl's shields are ridiculous. And I take it that glow around her is holding in air too. I guess that's why Being X brought her here. Still she has no way to get past mine with those puny weapons of hers. I guess it's only a matter of time before I can get though.
Tanya watches as Yoshika drops her shield, grabs her Type 99 again, and rockets up following the path Tanya's spell came from.
Tanya: I guess I do have to find away around her shield. Okay then little witch. Come follow me then.
Tanya backflips and dives away toward the ground again with Yoshika in hot pursuit.
Yoshika: Please stop this already! We don't have to fight anymore!
Tanya: Fuck you!
Tanya spins around and lets off a burst from her sub machine-gun. The shots explode harmlessly off Yoshika's shield. Tanya is done talking. She tosses another grenade back at Yoshika and it also harmlessly explodes against her shield. She wants Yoshika dead. Yoshika grits her teeth as she finally realizes Tanya just wants her blood now. Yoshika takes aim with her Type 99 and sends a volley back in response. Her bullets also bounce harmlessly off Tanya's shields.
Tanya: .oO(Finally ready to fight properly are you? Good!)
Tanya reaches the ground again and flies along it at tree top level followed by Yoshika. The two exchange bursts of fire back and forth, on occasion rotating around one another as they fire, but neither can get past the other's shields. They reach the end of the no mans land and quickly approach a forest.
Tanya: .oO(Let's see just how good you are in that flight suit)
Tanya enters the forest going nearly full speed and begins to deftly weave and dodge around the trees. Yoshika does the same and also dodges just as easily. Even managing to pop off a shot here and there as well. The two wave their way through the forest, missing some trees by a hair's breath. This goes on for a full minute before they soon reach the other side. As soon as Tanya pops out she pulls up vertical but not before dropping something in mid-air behind her. A second later Yoshika pops out. The sudden change in light level blinds her for a split second. Her eyes adjust quickly, only for her to see a grenade waiting for her right in front of her in mid air. Yoshika reacts out of instinct and a small shield barely forms in time when the grenade explodes. She blows through the explosion and smoke only to see Tanya is not in front of her anymore. Yoshika's training kicks in and she immediately looks up to see Tanya climbing hard again heading for the clouds. Yoshika spins around and pursues her. Tanya looks back and gives Yoshika a mocking grin and then looks forward again just as she enters the cloud layer.
Yoshika: .oO(I've had enough of this! I need to force her into surrendering quickly. Maybe if I did that…)
Yoshika's striker unit backfires slightly as she finally goes full speed. Her props making a loud buzzing noise as they spin at their maximum rpm and seem to glow on the outer end making a perfect circle. She rockets up as she pushes the air in front of her into a semi-mach cone. She pierces the cloud layer, parting the clouds where she entered. In front of her, only a bit higher, is Tanya still climbing hard. Yoshika quickly catches up and zooms on past Tanya in the blink of an eye. Tanya stops mid air in complete shock.
Tanya: What the hell? Where did she get all that speed from?
Yoshika comes to a stop a few hundred feet above Tanya and spins around.
Yoshika: If my guns can't get through your shields, then maybe my own shields can!
Yoshika forms a large shield in front of her. She then dives back down at full speed heading straight at Tanya. Her striker unit's engines once again spinning at full speed.
Tanya: SHE GOING TO RAM ME!?
Tanya can only look on in shock as she realizes she has no way to dodge in time. All she can do is let a burst of fire from her sub-machine-gun before she's forced to throw everything she's got into her own shields. KATHOONG! The two barriers meet and almost immediately Tanya's flight suit is overwhelmed and she is pushed back towards the ground at high speed. The force of the impact nearly breaking her shields.
Tanya: Dammit what are you doing!?
Tanya shouts back at Yoshika's determined expression.
Yoshika: I'm going to make you see what a dirt bath feels like!
Yoshika lets another burst of magical energy though her shield and Tanya's shields finally fail. SMACK! Tanya feels the full force of Yoshika's shield against her own face. The two finally burst out from the cloud layer as they both scream towards the ground. Tanya then slowly turns her head to face Yoshika and tears begin to flow.
Tanya: Please don't! I've been forced to fight all this time by Being X. I've had no choice! Please don't hurt me!
Tanya says in her cutesy girly voice. Yoshika is taken aback and nearly stops her dive. Did she have this girl all wrong? Was she forced to fight and act this way the whole time? Tanya then gives a very creepy grin. One that unnerves Yoshika a bit.
Tanya: Just kidding! I think it's about time I hit you with my full might! Enjoy the show!
Tanya then phases right through Yoshika's shield and Yoshika herself. Yoshika immediately stops her highspeed dive and looks back only to see "Tanya" phase away.
Yoshika: A decoy!?
Yoshika is shocked at the sight and begins to look around for Tanya again but can't see her anywhere. High above the cloud layer the real Tanya is at her highest altitude and already has her Mondragon Modelo 1908 rifle up and aimed at Yoshika, who she can easily see through the clouds with her HUD. Electrical discharges crackle from its barrel as a slight whine can be heard as Tanya's power begins to charge. Tanya finally activates her type 95 and it begins to glow a bright yellow and her eye color turns golden.
Tanya: Oh mighty god in heaven. The vile heretic is still blaspheming against your name by her mere presences. I ask you to grant me the full might of your hand so I may smite her where she stands. Your name is on high and blessed be those who praise you. All mighty god make those unbelievers believe in your name!
At least 7 layers of golden colored diamond shaped runes form in front of her rifle and seem to change size to focus on a single target.
Tanya: Elenium Type 95 Optical Explosive Spell. FIRE!
RRRRRRRRRRKKKKKKOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHWWWWWWWWWWW! A massive beam of red tinged white light erupts from Tanya's rifle and streaks down towards the ground right where Yoshika is. It blows a massive hole through the clouds as it pierces through. Yoshika barely has time to look up and see it coming. She quickly throws up both hands and puts up a massively powerful shield, not holding anything back. PPPPOOOOOWWWWWMMMMMMM! The optical blast impacts Yoshika's shield and a mix of red tinged-white light and bright blue light mix as the two competing magical forces try to over power the other. Yoshika gets pushed down towards the ground but she responds by going full throttle on her striker unit and ACTUALLY BEGINS THE PUSH THE BEAM BACK! The two forces then equal out into a stalemate. Yoshika narrows her eyes in determination.
Yoshika: YYYYYYYAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
Yoshika shouts as she begins to turn her shield slowly. With one last push she banks her shield over hard and deflects the beam away into the ground. KKKKKKKKKAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTTTTTTTTHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM! A massive explosion erupts as if a hidden volcano decided to explode suddenly. The flames and smoke plume up into a gigantic mushroom cloud. The force of the blast sends Yoshika flying backwards a few hundred feet before she finally regains her orientation. She looks up in shock to see the rising smoke plume and then down at the ground where she sees a creator about 100ft across in the ground. The nearby forest they had flown threw moments earlier now looks like a bunch of toothpicks thrown onto the floor with hundreds of trees blown over. As the mushroom cloud slowly boils upward Yoshika takes a couple of hard breaths. She then narrows her eyes and looks towards the sky where the beam came from.
Yoshika: That was your best? It's going to take a lot more than that to get though my shields and kill me!
Tanya: I know.
Yoshika suddenly hears Tanya's creepy voice behind her. SHLECK! She doesn't even get the chance to register the voice before she feels an excruciating pain erupt from her back and torso.
Yoshika: HAK!
Yoshika makes a gurgling grunt. She slowly looks down and sees a horrific sight. There's a bayonet sticking about 2-3 inches out of her stomach. She slowly turns her head left and looks back, only to be greeted with Tanya's psychotic smile. It finally dawns on her what Tanya did. She had used her greatest and most powerful attack as nothing more than a diversion. With Yoshika focused on the attack and subsequent blast, this gave Tanya enough time to sneak in from behind and stab her before she could react. Tanya then pulls out her Mauser C96. BANG! BANG! BANG! She rapid fires off three shots into Yoshika back. Two rip into her lungs while the third deflects off he Reppumaru.
Yoshika: KAHECK!
Yoshika spurts up a large glob of blood out of her mouth as both her lungs are punctured. Her animal ears and tail fade away and her arms go limp to her sides. Her striker unit shuts down and falls off her legs. It falls and crashes to the ground destroying both of them. Tanya quickly reaches over and grabs Yoshika's type 99 by the stock out of her arm before it falls. She gives a small smirk.
Tanya: Is this a Type 99? A memento from home perhaps? I think I'll add it to my collection. And now little witch you must die as promised. It was fun. And if you're the best your world has to offer I wouldn't mind killing more of your comrades if Being X breaks his promise and sends more of them.
Tanya then kicks Yoshika's body off of her bayonet with a small spray of blood erupting from Yoshika's back as she gets booted off. Yoshika's limp body then starts to tumble to the ground. Tanya turns and begins to fly away. As Yoshika falls, the last words Tanya said to her reverberate in her head. She doesn't want that fate to befall her friends. As her life ebbs away, her life begins to flash before her eyes. She sees images of her fellow squad-mates, of Sakamoto-san, then of Lynnette and Michiko, then of her mother and grandmother.
Yoshika: .oO(Mother… grandma… I'm sorry.)
A tear rolls out of her eye as her vision changes to that of her father.
Ichiro: …. Yoshika
Yoshika: Father?
Yoshika can hear her father's voice speak to her, as if from beyond the grave.
Ichiro: No yet….
Yoshika: .oO(….What?)
Ichiro: You can't die yet Yoshika. Now wake up!
With that a white light appears before her eyes. Her eyes pop open and narrow in determination. She can hear the rush of wind by her ears and can sense the ground below coming up fast. With the last of her strength she grabs a hold of her stab wound with her right hand and covers her bullet wounds with her left arm.
Yoshika: .oO(I can't let it… I can't let it end like this!)
Suddenly a bright blue flame like aura bursts from Yoshika's body. As bright as the sun is on a hot summer day. The sudden burst of light grabs Tanya's attention and she spins around. She puts her hand up to block some of the light.
Tanya: WHAT THE HELL!? Being X are your fucking with me again!?
She raises her sub-machine gun again and fires on Yoshika, determined to finish her off. A shield suddenly bursts from the light and blocks the massive volley.
Tanya: WHAT!?
Tanya is shocked by the sudden appearance of a shield from a supposed dying witch. Yoshika spins around and aims her shield at the ground which slams into it and stops her fall. She lands on the ground almost superhero style, her wounds completely healed. She slowly raises from her knee onto her two now bare feet. She turns her head and looks back at Tanya in the air with a serious determined scowling face. She's had enough and that threat to kill her friends has pushed Yoshika over the edge. She's ready to truly fight now. She grabs the hilt of Reppumaru still in its scabbard.
Tanya: Healing magic!? I've seen it before but her's is off the charts to heal her THAT quickly!
Tanya now has a nervous sweat drop on her check. She still gives a sadistic smile though. But inside she is mad as hell.
Tanya: This is getting very interesting! And also annoying. .oO(And that look on her face tells me she's actually ready to try and kill me). Still her flight suit is destroyed and I took her main weapon away! All she's got is a puny sword that does even less than firearms can do! That healing ability is a problem though.
Tanya then grins again. Her Type 95 then glows a golden light again along with her eyes. She reaches into her backpack as if messing with something and then pulls out a fresh magazine to load into her sub-machine gun. With a sudden burst of wind she dives towards the ground right at Yoshika at full speed.
Tanya: But that healing factor won't mean shit if I TAKE OFF YOUR HEAD! AH HA HA HA HA HA!
Tanya cackles as she dives down. She aims her sub-machine gun and opens fire again. Yoshika doesn't even flinch as the rain of fire comes down at her. She doesn't even raise a hand to put up and shield as one appears in front of her automatically.
Yoshika: Forgive me Sakamoto-san.
Yoshika slowly draws out Reppumaru and holds it in front of her with both hands. A soft blue light begins to barely emanate from the sword's blade. At only 100 feet off the ground Tanya reaches into her backpack pulls out and drops all the rest of her grenades all at once. She pulls up out of her dive and watches as the grenades fall. They all slam into Yoshika's shield and explode in mass, kicking up more smoke and debris. Obscured by the smoke, Tanya then immediately back flips and heads in the opposite direction before diving down and turning back to charge toward Yoshika head on. In the smoke Yoshika holds Reppumaru over her head as blue swirls of light begin to appear around the sword and her. Her body begins to glow a faint blue. Tanya reaches the ground and charges head on with Yoshika. She points her sub-machine gun and fires away. Yoshika puts up another shield as she charges Reppumaru and it easily intercepts Tanya's incoming fire. However Tanya gives a smirk.
Tanya: .oO(That's it you little bitch, keep focusing on me!)
KABAAAMMM! Suddenly another explosion rocks Yoshika from behind and she's once again enveloped in smoke and dirt. Tanya immediately switches to her rifle with bayonet and rockets forward at top speed.
Tanya: Now I've got you. If that grenade didn't kill her then it's injured her enough for me to behead her!
Flashback to when Tanya dropped her grenades, she had set one with a delayed fuse when reaching for a fresh magazine for her sub-machine gun. She knew that her grenades alone didn't have enough power to punch through Yoshika's shields so she was going to catch her off guard again. Of the 7 grenades she dropped, 6 exploded against Yoshika's shield and the delayed one landed behind her in the dirt, unnoticed. Tanya was going to have Yoshika's head! Then suddenly from the smoke a shout can be heard.
Yoshika: SHIN REPPUUUUUUZAN!
A bright blue flash of light instantly dissipates the smoke cloud revealing Yoshika with a shield in front and back.
Tanya: Two shields!?
The bight blue flash of light is in a crescent shape and charges at Tanya at blistering speed leaving a large gouge in the earth in its wake. With Tanya going full speed and the blue light coming at her at super-sonic speeds, and their already close distance, Tanya has no way or time to dodge. The crescent blue light is upon her in a spit second. All she can do is throw all her magic into her shields….. to no avail. The crescent light cuts though her shields like they weren't even there and, at first, seems to pass her on by. A second later Tanya's Type 95 orb splits in half and falls away.
Tanya: Eh?
That's the last cognitive thought Tanya has a split second before her vision splits and then goes dark. Her body drops out of the air and slams into the ground still going full speed and skids along the dirt. It goes past Yoshika's feet and comes to a stop about a dozen feet behind her. The camera then slowly pans up and shows two perfectly bifurcated halves of Tanya's body having left a bloody trial along the ground and each half having gone to each side of Yoshika. There's a short pause of silence.
Yoshika: Fool. Even I can count. 6 explosions for 7 grenades? It was obvious where you threw the last one.
Yoshika drops Reppumaru to the ground and drops to her knees clutching both her hands in pain. She looks at them and sees Reppumaru's hilt has left its red burn imprint marks on both hands again. She can also feel that her magical ability has been damaged again. She can't even heal the burns. She closes her hands back as a couple of tears stream from her eyes. Not in physical pain, but mental. She just killed someone. And it's breaking her heart. A golden light then falls around her.
Being X: Well done Miyafuji. You have rid this world of a stubborn evil. You are too be congradu-
Yoshika: SHUT UP!….. Just shut up….. I don't want to hear it. Whether she was evil or not doesn't matter! You forced me into killing her! And that… that is something I can never forgive you for!
Yoshika shouts in anger. Being X stays silent. Yoshika calms down a bit. Her head droops, covering her eyes in shadow. She then sits on the ground.
Yoshika: Just send me back as you promised.
She says this coldly barely above a whisper.
Being X: … Very well. You shall be sent back to your world. I shall return your magic to full strength and you will have no memory of this encounter.
Almost immediately the golden light falls and envelops Yoshika.
Sakamoto: Miyafuji are you there?… Answer me already!… MIYAFUJI!
That last shout startles Yoshika awake. She's flying in the air with her striker unit. Her Type 99 Kai and Reppumaru are slung over her back. She looks around confusingly.
Sakamoto: Miyafuji come in!
Yoshika: Oh! Sakamoto-san. I'm here.
Sakamoto: At last! We lost contact with you for a moment. There was a harsh static interference and then you wouldn't respond for a good 10-15 seconds there. What happened?
Yoshika glances around herself again.
Yoshika: Yeah I heard the static too. I thought I saw some sort of golden light, but as quickly as it appeared, it vanished. Strange.
Sakamoto: Odd. Well Sanya says she's no longer picking up the disturbance. It appears to be gone. Whatever it was. Proceed back to your original destination. You can still make it in time for one of your many celebrations.
Yoshika: Roger!
With that she banks right and heads back to her original course.
