Accomplishments: 1-time DSW Heavyweight Champion

Monday, April 3rd, 2006 - Chicago, Illinois

Monday Nights were the night that World Wrestling Entertainment was able to capture the attention of everyone in the world because on Monday nights, the WWE hosted their flagship television program. The program that seemingly put WCW outta business and won the Monday Wars in the late 90s. Monday Night Raw. Raw Tonight was live in the Allstate Arena. The obvious star of the show was the current reigning and defending WWE Champion, John Cena but hopefully one day all that could change. And one day, the man who had a dark match tonight, Kevin Bennett, could take that crown and perhaps take Raw and the WWE into a new era.

Kevin Bennett AKA Hunter Michael Bennett stood at 6'2, weighed in at 218 Pounds, and was currently only 23 years old. Hunter, deemed handsome by most members of the opposite sex. He has a strong, well-built build with a physique that exudes confidence. He has broad shoulders with a defined chest and arms that reflect his days of lifting in the gym with a toned 6 pack abdomen. He has long, darkish-blonde hair that cascaded down to his back. His dark eyebrows, perfectly arched and well-groomed, framing his face drawing attention to his expressive, steel blue eyes. He has a well-framed five o'clock shadow accentuating his strong jawline.

He pulled up in the arena parking lot in a white 2000 GMC Sierra 1500, compliments of his father giving him a graduation present years ago. His family were his biggest supporters when he said he wanted to be a wrestler so much so that they bought him his first pair of wrestling boots and tights. And since that moment that started his journey that ended up getting him into Deep South Wrestling and eventually into the WWE. In DSW, he was the Deep South Heavyweight Champion holding the title for 182 Days. It was during that reign that he put on some of the best matches in his career and earned his way into the WWE. And now it was coming into fruition tonight.

He stepped out of the truck wearing a grey v-neck with a gold 20' chain around his neck. He wore blue boot-cut jeans with a pair of brown cowboy boots on his feet. He grabbed his matching suede hat off the passenger side and his bag holding his gear and he was on his way. He walked through the back entrance of the arena, the area that most superstars entered in and was almost immediately stopped by some members of the arena's security team.

"Sir, you're not permitted to enter." A member of the security team said as James frowned.

"I actually work here. Tonight I got a dark match."

"What's your name?" Asked his partner as he pulled out a clipboard with a list of names.

"It should be Hunter. Hunter Bennett," Hunter replied as the man went through the list looking for his name. He watched as he looked down the first page, lifting it and going onto the second page.

"Oh okay here it is." Hunter let out a sigh of relief as he then walked past the security and into the arena. Soon people around the world would know his name and then he wouldn't have altercations like that one.

Hunter was walking around with his head on a swivel. Looking around taking it all in. You only get to experience this for the first time once and he was going to savor every single minute of it. He could see several members of the opposite sex looking at him with wondering eyes. Seeing that made him smirk as he continued on. He pulled out Blackberry from his pocket and looked on the screen to see a text message from his sister.

He sighed as he started to type on the small keyboard of the phone. This distraction caused him to bump into someone smaller than him based on what he felt. Out of instinct, he reached out to grab that person but dropped his phone in the process.

"Damn" He cursed as he heard it clank hitting the ground. He changed his focus, looking at the person who he had in his grasp. Her beauty was undeniable, possessing a captivating allure that left him spellbound. Every glance in her direction was met with a racing heart and a sense of awe. Standing at a modest height, she was a touch shorter than him, adding an endearing charm to her presence.

Her long, dark brown wavy hair cascaded down her shoulders, framing her face with a touch of effortless elegance. Each wave seemed to dance in harmony with her movements, adding a touch of grace to her every step. It was as if her hair held secrets of its own, whispering tales of mystery and allure.

But it was her eyes that truly mesmerized him. Deep pools of dark brown, they held a magnetic gaze that seemed to penetrate his very soul. Within them, he found a wealth of emotions, ranging from warmth and kindness to a hint of mischief. Those eyes, sparkling with intelligence and curiosity, drew him in and made him feel seen and understood.

She possessed an enchanting aura, the quintessential girl-next-door type. Approachable and down-to-earth, she exuded an air of friendliness that made others feel instantly at ease in her presence. Her genuine warmth and sincerity radiated from within, creating an undeniable magnetism that drew people towards her effortlessly.

And her physical beauty was matched by her confidence and poise, accentuating her killer body. She carried herself with an understated grace, moving with a natural fluidity that showcased her figure in all its glory. Her curves were a testament to femininity, captured in a way that seemed both effortless and alluring.

She was not just beautiful on the surface; she possessed a captivating charm that went beyond mere appearances. Her inner beauty shone through, enhancing her external allure and making her a truly breathtaking sight to behold. It was the perfect combination of physical attractiveness and genuine warmth that made her a person impossible to forget. He recognized her almost instantly, Mickie James, one of (if not) the best female wrestlers in the WWE and that meant actual wrestlers.

"Sorry." Hunter said as he released her from his grip but not before making sure that she was standing up right.

"You're fine just next time watch where you going." She said as she bent down, picking up his phone and handing it to him with a friendly smile on her face. He reciprocated the smile and took the phone from her looking down at her taking note of her form seeing the ring gear she was wearing.

"Yes, ma'am. I will." She frowned, looking him in the eyes making him look at her puzzled.

"Did you just call me ma'am?"

"I did. Sorry, it's a force of habit"

"I get it. I'm only 26 don't call me ma'am. I take it you're from the south."

"I am. Texas. Born and Raised. You?"

"Richmond, Virginia."

"What gave me away?"

"Your accent, manners, the boots and the hat." She said pointing up to his head.

"I'll have you know, a lot of people outside of Texas wear these hats."

"That is true but I've also been watching you down in DSW, Kevin Bennett. So I know you're from Texas." The fact that Mickie James knew his name meant something to James. It meant that he was making a step in the right direction.

"And here I was thinking we were complete strangers, Mickie James or should I say Alexis Laree?" Mickie smiled and looked down her feet chuckling nervously as James just named one of her early wrestling names.

"I guess, you do know your stuff."

"I do."

"Listen, I know we just met but a few of us are meeting for drinks after the show and I was wondering if you wanted to come with."

"I don't know, I can be a wild guy once I get a few drinks in me." He said as he took off his hat and looked down at her, staring her into her eyes. There was already a bit of attraction going on between the two and neither one of them minded.

"I can handle wild." Mickie said as she bit her lip.

"Well, Ms. James, I would love to spend the night with you." He said with a smirk as he put his hat back on his head and tipped it towards her. She giggled and rolled her eyes as she grabbed his phone out of his hand and put her number in it.

"Slow down there cowboy. You gotta prove you can handle a good time with me before I give you a good time." She flirted as she handed the phone back to him and walked away from him, swaying her hips as she walked, gaining his attention.

"I might just take you up on that, Ms. James." He said as he watched her walk down the hallway leaving him standing there speechless.

Hunter pushed the door open walking into the Raw locker room. Several of the stars in the room stopped putting on their gear and turned their heads to look at the new guy standing in the doorway. James looked around the room giving them a nod as he made his way towards an empty locker. Most of them turned their heads back and went back to their normal routine making him sigh in relief as he sat down on the bench in the locker room and opened his bag to get his ring gear out.

"Since nobody has said it yet, welcome to Raw kid." said a voice making Hunter look up to see one of his all-time favorites standing in front of him, "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels AKA Michael Hickenbottom. Shawn held his hand out for a handshake which Hunter eagerly shook.

"Thanks sir. It's a honor to meet you."

"I already feel old, don't call me sir. Just call me either Shawn or Michael." Michael said with a chuckle as Hunter nodded.

"Alright, you got it Shawn."

"What's your name kid?"

"Hunter Bennett but I go by Kevin Bennett in the ring."

"Kevin Bennett, huh? I think I've heard of you, you're that guy in DSW that was calling himself "The Heartthrob" Kevin Bennett, now I must say when I first heard someone using something that sounded like it was copying my gimmick I was pissed but you managed to twist it and turn it into your own thing."

"Thank you, that means a lot coming from you and I'm sorry if it seems like I copied you, I just wanted to be like my hero."

"It's all good man," Shawn winked as he pat James' shoulder. "I'm gonna head out and get some catering you're welcome to join me if you want."

"No, thanks. I'm good."

"Alright see ya man."

James sighed, shaking his head in disbelief, realizing he just met one of his childhood heroes.

In just a few hours Raw would start and then the dream would truly become a reality. James sat on a crate backstage in his ring gear. A pair of black trunks with a teal design on the front with his last name Bennett plastered in silver studded with rhinestones with the same design on the back with "Heartthrob" written on the back in silver with rhinestones. On both sides of the trunks were a pair of hearts in teals broken down the middle with each one of his intials in silver. He had black knee pads with kickpads with a white pad with the same broken heart design plastered on the left pad with his ring name on the right pad in teal. To wrap up his look, he had white wrist tape on both of his wrist with tape on his right hand and a teal bracelet on his right wrist.

For his entrance he had a simple black vest with a black cowboy hat with Bennett studded along the side in rhinestones with a teal broken heart on the other side.

"Nice threads." said a voice making him look up to see the son of his boss, Shane McMahon walking towards him.

"Thanks."

"You're the new guy huh?"

"Yeah, I am."

"Well, I watched a bit of your matches down in DSW and you tore the house down, so I got some pretty big expectations of you." James chuckled and nodded his head.

"I'll try to reach up to them."

"Alright, you better do so. You might wanna go get ready, you got a fellow up-and-comer, Elijah Burke on the pre-show and you got roughly about 6 or 7 minutes so go crazy." Shane said. James nodded towards Shane and made his way down the hallway going to the gorilla position.

"Do I" by Emphatic Hits

The newest member of the WWE Main Roster, Kevin Bennett, walked out onto the stage with a smirk on his face as his graphic loaded up on the minitron and titantron. The minitron featured his broken heart emblem in pink and white with his intials in it with whilst his titantron featured his broken heart emblem with Hearthrob above it and Kevin Bennett beneath the emblem. The lights in the arena started to go back and forth between a sort of white and teal color scheme to go with his attire.

Kevin walked down the ramp slapping the hands of the fans at ringside as Lillian Garcia stood in the ring announcing while Eliajah leaned up against the turnbuckle already in the ring.

"The Following Contest is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first, making his way to the ring from Dallas, Texas. Weighing in at 218 Pounds. "The Heartthrob" Kevin Bennett!" She announced as Kevin made his way to the ringside area. He looked around at the fans in attendance before he walked around the ring and slid onto the ring apron, grabbing a hold of the middle rope as he looked at the fans once more. He rose up standing at a vertical base and stepped between the ropes as if he were entering the ring but paused momentarily to look at the fans once more talking trash (picture the Dolph Ziggler entrance spot).

"And his opponent, in the ring, from Jacksonville, Florida. Weighing in at 220 Pounds. Elijah Burke!"

Kevin entered the ring and hopped up onto the top turnbuckle looking on with a smirk as he threw up his longhorn, a tribute to his hometown. He hopped down as his music faded away on the PA system. He quickly discarded his hat and his vest as Elijah locked eyes with him from across the ring.

Ding-Ding-Ding!

"The Heartthrob" Kevin Bennett and Elijah Burke circled around the ring while the fans were quiet now as Kevin attempted to lock in collar elbow tie up but Elijah dropped down to the mat and rolled out of the ring. The fans booed Elijah now as he walked around the ringside area while Kevin simply ran a hand through his hair smirking at Elijah's tactics.

Elijah turned his back to Kevin and taunted towards the fans allowing Kevin to walk over to the turnbuckle and go up to the top rope. Elijah turned around only to be hit with dive from the top rope from Kevin Bennett as he dropped down to his knees while Elijah dropped down to the floor of the ringside area! Kevin grabbed Elijah up by the head and neck and smashed his head into the guardrail before he dragged him over and hit him in the face with the steel steps. He then rolled Elijah into the ring breaking the referee's count.

Kevin started to clap his hands getting the fans to clap as well. He climbed up to the ring apron before he attempted to go springboard but Elijah crashed into the ropes causing Kevin to lose his grip. His throat dropped onto the ropes before he dropped down on the ring apron. Elijah to the ropes as the fans booed before he drop kicked the side of Kevin's body with a basement dropkick causing him to fall out of the ring on his side.

Elijah grabbed Kevin and threw him back in the ring as he climbed the ring apron. He waited to Kevin to get up to his feet before he hit him with a springboard forearm smash. Elijah with the hook of the leg.

2, Kickout at 2 by Kevin. Kevin sat up only to be hit with a forearm to the back after Elijah went to the ropes and hit Kevin with a forearm to the lower back. Elijah with a well placed Elbow Drop to the chest of Kevin followed by a knee drop to the forehead of Kevin. Elijah pulled Kevin up the hair but Kevin with a forearm to the face. Kevin with repeated forearm shots before he dropkicked Elijah in the face causing him to fall down to the mat. He popped right back up only to clothesline over the top rope sending him down to the arena floor.

Kevin looked around the arena while regaining his composure. The fans were cheering as he ran to the ropes before he dived through the top and middle rope with a suicide dive pushing Elijah into the guardrail back-first. Kevin breathing hard, picked up Elijah and threw him into the ring before he rolled in himself. Elijah got up on his knees holding his back while Kevin tried to go for a boot to a kneeling Elijah. Elijah ducked it and rolled on to his feet. He quickly popped back up dropkicked Kevin in the back causing him to go chest first into the turnbuckle. Elijah ran to the corner across and attempted the Elijah Express but Kevin jumped out of the corner allowing Elijah to hit his knees on the turnbuckles.

As Elijah turned around he was kicked in the gut leaving him hunched over as Kevin hit the ropes. When he popped off the ropes, he jumped up getting some elevation before driving his foot into the back of the head/neck of Elijah Burke with his famous, Heartache (Curb Stomp).

"The Heartthrob" Kevin Bennett rolled Elijah over and hooked the leg.

"Do I" Plays

"Here is your winner: Kevin Bennett!" Lillian announced as Kevin stood up to his feet. The referee raised his arm up in the air in victory as Kevin ran a hand through his hair while looking around the arena. When the referee let go of the arm of Kevin he started to beat on his chest as the fans cheered. He exited the ring pointing at the crowd with his back towards the titantron. He raised an arm in the air as he slapped the hands of the fans while he walked up the ramp.

As Hunter walked through the curtain, a huge smile snaked its way onto his face as he looked up to see Shane McMahon standing at the producer's table with his arms folded. Shane walked towards Hunter and placed a hand on his shoulder as he looked at the young superstar.

"Good job, I think you had a pretty solid showing."

"Thanks, did the old man see it?" Hunter asked genuinely hoping that the Chairman of the WWE was somewhere watching. If Vince saw his performance and liked what he saw that could potentially put him in a good standing and hopefully earn the attention of the billionaire.

"Unfortunately no, he was handling some last minute stuff with the card. But I'm sure he'll catch the next one just be here next Monday on time and I'm sure he'll love what he sees next week. I'm gonna try to put you on with some TV time, just remember stay focused and be a good sport and your time will come," Shane spoke as Hunter simply nodded his head.

"Alright, now hit the showers, grab some food and stick around for the show," Shane said as he patted him on the back before walking off. Hunter let out a deep sigh as he ran his hand through his hair.

Hunter walked through the back looking on with a frown as he tried to process what Shane just told him.

"Hey!" Hunter heard breaking his train of thoughts making him look up to see a man he loved watching as a younger, a man who created his own path to stardom in the WWE, the 6'4, 255 Pound Grappler Paul Levesque AKA "The Game" Triple H

"Kid, you got a minute?" He asked as he leaned up against a wall with his arms folded in his ring gear. Hunter said nothing but simply nodded as he walked towards the veteran superstar.

"I saw you match earlier, it was decent. Not too bad. I saw you talking to Shane earlier and he gave you the usual corporate bullshit advice but I'm going to give you a word of advice from someone who's actually been in your shoes," Paul said as Hunter nodded along, running a hand through his hair.

"You're in a good spot, you're young and you wouldn't be here if you weren't talented. They're watching every time you step into the ring so listen to me when I say this every time you step out into the ring, you need to show up and show out, I don't care if it's a one-on-one, tag match, blindfold match, whatever. When you step in that ring, you perform like your life depends on it because it damn sure does. I see it everyday people step up into the WWE and they can't cut out and wash out, I see too much talent in you to do so. And you take every opportunity that you get. It doesn't matter what it is. And you NEVER allow anyone to take your spotlight, I don't care if you get labeled as selfish or as a diva, you're in this business to make a name for yourself and to make money. You listen to me both of those things will come."

"Yes sir, thank you!" Hunter said with genuine appreciation for the advice given to him by the legend. Paul reached his hand out which Hunter shook.

Hunter looked up at Paul Levesque, also known as Triple H, with a mixture of awe and gratitude. The words of wisdom from someone he had idolized for years resonated deeply within him. He could feel the weight of Triple H's experience and success behind every word.

As their hands shook, Hunter could sense the passing of a torch, a connection between the veteran superstar and the young talent. It was a moment he would always cherish, knowing that he had earned the respect and attention of someone he admired.

"Thank you, sir," Hunter repeated, his voice filled with sincerity. "I appreciate your guidance and belief in me. I won't forget your words. I'll give it everything I have, every single time I step into that ring."

Triple H nodded, a small smile tugging at the corners of his mouth. He could see the determination burning in Hunter's eyes, and it reminded him of his younger self, hungry for success and willing to do whatever it took to make an impact.

"That's the spirit, kid," Triple H said, patting Hunter on the shoulder. "Remember, this business is about seizing opportunities and making a name for yourself. Don't let anyone dim your shine or hold you back. Keep pushing, keep performing, and never settle for anything less than greatness."

Hunter nodded, absorbing every word like a sponge. He knew that Triple H's advice carried immense value, shaped by years of experience and triumphs in the wrestling industry.

With a renewed sense of purpose and determination, Hunter watched as Triple H walked away, leaving him to reflect on the encounter. He felt a surge of confidence and motivation coursing through his veins. He knew that he had the potential to make his mark and create his own legacy in the WWE.

Hunter Bennett parked his car outside a local bar in Chicago, the neon-lit sign flickering with the name "Cheers & Beers." It had been a long and eventful night at Monday Night Raw, and he was looking forward to unwinding and spending a little time with one they call Mickie James.

As he stepped out of his car, Hunter could hear the faint sounds of laughter and music emanating from inside the bar. The atmosphere was lively, with the chatter of patrons and the clinking of glasses merging into a harmonious buzz.

Hunter pushed open the door and was immediately greeted by the warmth and energy of the crowded establishment. The scent of food, mixed with the aroma of various beverages, filled the air. He scanned the room, his eyes searching for Mickie.

Spotting her in a corner booth, Hunter made his way through the throng of people, exchanging smiles and nods with fellow wrestlers from the Raw brand, a lot of whom he had met tonight. He couldn't help but feel that he was right at home where he was meant to be.

As he approached the booth, Mickie looked up from her drink, her face lighting up with a genuine smile. She stood up, giving him a hug which took him by surprise as she wrapped her arms around his neck while he wrapped his around her waist, pulling her tight against his body. Her body seemingly fit against him like a baseball fit into the palm of the glove.

"I hope you're ready for a good time," she whispered in his ear in a husky, sultry tone almost like she was trying to tease him in a seductive manner.

"We'll see about that one Ms. James," he whispered back to her as the two separated and walked towards their booth. And with that his first night as an official WWE Superstar was wrap and he would be ending the night with a dime like Mickie James. Life was good as a WWE Superstar.
